I don’t have any perennial fruits (my pommy is purely ornamental and likely sterile like a lot of seed-grown stuff from the market) that fit the Rosh Hashanah theme but hibiscus is sort of fruit adjacent in the same way rhubarb is!

I’ve been growing this one from seed! One if its leaves was coming out wonky so I decided to eat it and it was tasty and tart! This is a roselle hibiscus and they make pseudo-fruits similar to apples and rose hips that is used in food and drink.

It grows super quickly too!! I only put it in this large continent a few weeks ago and the roots are already reaching the base!

That would be pretty cool since Leafpool didn’t really get to be a mother to Jay, Holly, or Lion. Leafpool joined StarClan pretty recently though, so I’m not sure if the authors would choose her although I would like it if they did! Especially since Squirrel raised Leaf’s kits, it would be a nice parallel. I also like the idea of Hollyleaf keeping an eye on her little cousins in StarClan in an older sibling kind of relationship (since Holly expressed some doubts/anxiety about being a mother in The Sight) I’d be happy with either Holly or Leaf though!
