#hi should i make a sw sideblog

so uh, hi.
this is kind of a random question/poll/thought, but i need to know for future reference.
i doubt many of you have seen @sinfulscorchings, my sideblog dedicated to call of duty fanfics, but it does indeed exist. i’ve been thinking about the state of this blog as of late, and how it’s been mostly dedicated to star wars, and while i still love my clone boys to death, i’ve found my interests straying in different directions.
i still have a lot of sw fics up my sleeve, including some boba and mando, but i also have a lot of fandom and fanfic ideas for other fandoms such as call of duty, jujutsu kaisen, the umbrella academy, red dead redemption, and baldur’s gate 3.
so i’m curious if i should make sideblogs for these fandom aberrations, or keep it separate as I've already begun doing? some pros and cons:
pros for keeping one blog:
already established following here, meaning my work will inherently have a wider audience initially. while starting from scratch isn’t unappealing, it’s also just easier for me and makes me feel slightly better about straying away from where i initially began
easier to navigate for those who don't follow me on ao3
less of a crazy feed for those who end up following more than one of my blogs
pros of making sideblogs:
those who only want to see my star wars content can keep it that way without having to scroll through posts about other fandoms
i get to make cute organization and themes for each blog!
again, also might be better for your feed if you wouldn't like to see fandom content for things you aren't interested in.
again, the final decision is my choice, but hearing y'all's thoughts on it would help influence the decision.
so...
seriously, hearing your opinions would be really helpful in this decision, and i'd really appreciate your thoughts <3

Hey babe !!! How you doing? Hope everything is fine, just a question I'm thinking about writing my own stuff but idk how to start like what should I do? should i create a new blog for writing or post on my shit posting disorganised blog that i already have and let's suppose i made one so what just go and post? How will people come to know that I've posted because i won't be having any followers on the new blog Idk how this works ,sorry for bothering :(
hi - i am doing alright thank you! 💖 (How are you?) and ooh, that is so exciting! Not a bother at all!
I think you should do what works best and is most comfortable for you. If you want to start writing on your current blog, I don’t see why not! This blog started as a general SW blog, so had made sense to me to start posting my writing here.
If you want to create a space that’s for your work or to start fresh - then a sideblog or a separate one might be a good way to do that. Creating a new space could also be a good idea if you want privacy from your main blog. (A note though - if you make a sideblog, asks and post comments will be sent from your main)
You’ll want to tag your fics when you post them, and people will find them that way! And if you do make a new blog, you can always share your fic/the acct on your main (if you’re comfortable) as a way to let your friends know. (And if you want to send it to me; I can try to share too!)
Best of luck! I hope you have such a good time writing. It can definitely feel intimidating putting yourself out there, but I know you can do it! 💕
#either way - yes to the just posting!#if anyone has advice please feel free to chime in!#sweet anons#saradika answers

So, right off the bat, I’ll just say this: you and I will probably NEVER agree on anything related to SW or the Jedi/Jedi culture, for the simple fact of the matter that you seem to be a “Death of the Author” believer in interpreting SW (including how many SW fans seem to have adapted the belief that the story is about the ‘corruption 🙄’ & ‘FaLl Of ThE JeDi 🤪 (why is it so hard for fans to say “genocide” again? Maybe because it makes it easier to blame them for their own slaughter that way? 😬🤷♀️’), whereas I am a SW fan who believes in taking into account what GL originally intended audiences to take away from his movies (including both the original trilogy AND the prequels).
I will reply to you and explain my perspective, and if you and I can stay civil in our discussion without descending into petty insults (whether that be targeted at me OR the Jedi/Jedi culture), then I will be happy to continue to debate with you. Otherwise, if we both become frustrated, I will inform you it’d be best to block each other and move on, because I am of the belief people should all be allowed to curate their social media experience the way they want.
That being said, I’ll get into your response:
“To be fair, George Lucas's mishandling of the Jedi in the prequels did unfortunately help set up this sort of thing (for goodness sakes, they literally decided to cover up the fact that they weren't as strong with the Force as they used to be in AOTC, you really think they wouldn't do something like this? ESPECIALLY when they canonically didn't even BELIEVE in absolutes?). Besides, this existed in Legends as well with the Sith Genocide (with Revan playing a HUGE role in THAT event).”
Firstly, GL clearly sets up the Jedi as the heroes/most moral ones of the galaxy in the prequels, ESPECIALLY compared to the Sith, who’s ultimate goal is canonically to cause pain and suffering thorough out the galaxy to achieve as much power as possible (one of the biggest ones is achieving eternal life. Not as a Force ghost, but as actually being PHYSICALLY alive forever). So already, right off the bat, that’s another big problem I have with The Acolyte that essentially has the villains (Sith) try to act like they’re being ‘oppressed’ by the Jedi, when really, the only reason Jedi fight AGAINST the Sith is because—the Sith try to MURDER everyone?? 🤷♀️😭
The Jedi are NOT against all Dark Siders (if they WERE, the Nightsisters wouldn’t have even been allowed to exist. The Jedi might not AGREE with their beliefs, but as long as they don’t bother/murder people, the Jedi legit don’t care), but they ARE specifically against the SITH, because the Sith regularly have this annoying little habit of trying to enslave/oppress/destroy the galaxy.
Now, onto your next position: the Jedi hiding that they’re not as strong in The Force because of the Dark Side clouding The Force/their ability to telepathically perceive the world/people around them.
It’s debatable if this is THAT bad of an issue. Is it bad they lie? Maybe. But then again, a LOT of characters in SW lie about things, but Jedi are always the ones fandom seems to nitpick their smallest failings at. 🤷♀️
Personally? I don’t think they were wrong to lie. George Lucas canonically says in interviews the Jedi are put between a rock and a hard place in joining the war (ANOTHER thing they’re condemned for by the fandom, when apparently—what was the other option?? Sitting on their asses and letting the Separatists burn the galaxy? 🤷♀️), and this scene is just another example of that.
Sure, lying is usually a bad thing. But people lie all the time in military operations to keep missions a secret. Yoda points out to Mace that if they were to inform the Senate that their use of The Force has diminished, then their enemies would multiply—inside the SENATE (which is currently corrupt almost 80% by Palpatine), and on the other side of the war with the Separatists. It makes perfect sense to not share that information. What good would it do? Make the Senate release the Jedi from their position as Generals in the war? (It’s debatable Palpatine would EVER allow the Senate to do that, as that would effect his plan of Order 66, but let’s pretend like they can.) It’s not helpful to their situation in trying to end the war and the oppression of the Separatists enslaving planets (because they WERE doing that. It was the only way to get the Jedi’s attention in choosing to save people in joining the war, despite it going against their Peacekeeping beliefs), so this point being some example of the Jedi’s ‘arrogance’ is a very weak one in general.
Furthermore, why are you using THIS SCENE with the Jedi deciding not to share something about THEIR OWN Force powers as some sort of ‘gotcha’ regarding my disbelief of The Acolyte portraying the Jedi as clearly OOC by covering up a MASSACRE?
There’s a LITTLE BIT of a difference there. Lol. 😭🤷♀️
Is it just because it’s an example of the Jedi lying? Almost EVERYONE has lied at one point or another. And yes, Jedi are no exception to that rule, but there is also a big difference between lying about THEIR OWN FORCE POWERS to a corrupt Senate, and lying about a MASSACRE of a group of Force sensitive witches (which is something fucking ANAKIN does by lying to the Council for years by not telling a soul but Padmé about his Tusken massacre, which essentially has this show paralleling the JEDI’S actions with fucking ANAKIN’S foreshadowing actions of him being Darth Vader?? 😭🤷♀️🤦♀️), which basically is just character assassination for a group of space monks who’s main belief in compassion for all. I might’ve been able to buy the Jedi making a mistake because of a misunderstanding—but covering up a MASSACRE? Hell no.
The ONLY reason the show has them not tell the Council is essentially also why Anakin makes the stupid decisions he makes in the Prequels—because they can’t go against the canon of the movies that happen later on in the timeline after their show/trilogy.
You’re correct that George Lucas and the way he has trouble explaining his thoughts/perspective is part of the mishandling of the Jedi and how it makes the SW fandom misunderstand who they actually are—but NOT for the reasons you think.
I’ve checked out your blog a little bit, and I see that you’re apparently someone who roots for the Empire, because of what GL wanted the Rebellion to represent (so I’m pretty sure you have a bit of a bias against the Jedi either way, although I’m sure a part of that is from the Legends canon, which I already don’t agree with and just see as basically glorified fanfiction used to write Jedi OOC from other western authors that clearly misunderstand the Jedi culture being inspired by non-western cultures. But I also acknowledge that I too am biased in the sense that the Jedi are something I’m passionate about), so already, I feel like no matter what I tell you, you will not agree with the Jedi’s decision to put aside their cultural beliefs on Peacekeeping to fight in the Clone Wars to help save lives, because most people seem to be of the consensus to throw the baby away with the bath water, instead of the Jedi’s decision to try and fight in the system to do harm reduction (saving planets from Separatists/trying to teach clones to believe they have individuality, since they don’t have the power to give the clones rights) where they can in The Republic, despite—yes—the Senate’s corruption (because despite what people WANT, most Politicians ARE corrupt, no matter WHAT planet or galaxy they’re on; just look at our planet).
And this is speaking as someone who HATES the Acolyte because of this and the sad thing is, this ALL could have been avoided if George Lucas didn't use Obi-Wan to promote relativism TWICE).
Relativism: the doctrine that knowledge, truth and morality exist in relation to culture, society, or historical context, and are not absolute.
So, as I take it you already don’t like George Lucas and his views/probably heavily agree with the “Death of the author” trope, then none of this answer I’m about to give will matter to you.
Either way, I’ll leave it here:
George Lucas has a clear vision of his story: it’s a soap opera in space, basically. Good vs Evil = Jedi vs Sith (bla, bla, bla—all that crap, ya know? You might not LIKE it—but that’s what the Sith CANONICALLY are. They’re the BAD GUYS). Not only are they the BAD guys—but they are LITERALLY meant by GL to be the baddest of the bad—because the Dark Side to GL is a CANCER in The Force that poisons the mind with darkness. Therefore, it is not POSSIBLE for the Sith to be ‘oppressed’/cruelly genocided by the Jedi for their ‘culture’—because their ‘culture’ is just MURDERING PEOPLE/OPPRESSION. 😭🤷♀️🤦♀️
Even saying all of that, if you’re complaint is that GL portrays the Jedi as the ultimate moral/good in the galaxy, I don’t know what to tell you? 🤷♀️ Because—like it or NOT—that is CANONICALLY what they are and represent. There’s a REASON GL has the last movie in his Original Trilogy named: Return of the Jedi. Because—in GL’s canon—the Jedi are the HEROES of the SW universe. Their return is supposed to represent a GOOD thing (of course fans have twisted GL’s original meaning to interpret it as Luke’s Jedi Order being a ‘Order not full of corruption 🤪’ is actually why the Jedi coming back are a good thing and not a bad thing—but that’s NOT GL’s original intention).
EVEN when saying all that: GL doesn’t say the Jedi are infallible, despite what SW fans seem to imply the lore has always stated. Jedi can die, Jedi are humans, Jedi care about people/cry/love/make mistakes. George Lucas SAYS that in interviews! He’s never pretended that the Jedi are these perfect paragons of virtue. BUT—in comparison to everyone ELSE in the galaxy (INCLUDING the Sith), the Jedi ARE the most moral people/culture in the galaxy.
You might not LIKE that—but it IS the truth, in relation to what GL intended. 🤷♀️
A lot of fans don’t like this. They want there to be a ‘gray Jedi 🙄’ interpretation, because they want to be edgy and get to use the Dark Side without the threat of becoming evil. And yet… it’s just not how it works. 🤷♀️
Even the Nightsisters—as much as the Jedi usually leave them alone—are NOT strictly these ‘kindhearted’ Dark Siders. Remember what they did to Savage? They brainwashed him and made Savage kill his own brother. So yeah—as MUCH as fans might like to believe otherwise—almost EVERYONE that deals with the Dark Side, comes away from it a little worse than they are.
There IS no such thing as a gray Jedi. The closest I can think of is actually Mace Windu (which is ironic, considering a lot of the fandom hates him, just because he was strict with Anakin 🙄🤦♀️), considering how Mace uses Vaapad as a lightsaber Form, which is a refined form Mace created himself to help control his anger/Dark thoughts.
If you are curious to learn more about how GL actually views The Force and the Dark Side, I’ll leave a link to a blog that knows more sources about it than I do.
In conclusion: I still stand by everything I’ve mentioned above on The Acolyte, and the only thing I think you and I will EVER come to agree on is that I do think GL has a hard time translating what he wants from his stories on screen (this shows in his trouble writing dialogue), and I wish that he’d replaced the Jedi’s cultural beliefs on “attachments” by replacing the word with “possession”, because this is basically what the Jedi believe regarding loving people selflessly instead of selfishly like Anakin did in the end with Padmé when he viewed her as a possession. I believe if he’d done this, SW fandom might not have as much as a misunderstanding on the Jedi and their culture than they do.
Ahh, and THERE it is… 🙃🙃
I have kept my opinions mostly to myself about The Acolyte, because I wasn’t planning on watching it until seeing where it went with the Jedi. Almost everything in SW media has an element of Jedi criticism (sadly 🙄), so I knew that would be a given with this show, so I was holding off on any total judgment until the end.
One thing I KNEW I would despise and would make me not ever watch it is if they actually made canon that the Jedi brutally murdered an entire coven of witches and COVERED UP A MASSACRE (wtf on that part, because they would NOT cover it up, even if they’d made a mistake). Apparently, it is not as bad as I feared, and they don’t destroy the Jedi Order’s characterization entirely.
But THIS line. 🥶🤢
With THIS line that is apparently written in the newest episode—that’s it. You’ve lost me.
Because THIS line is just straight up genocide apologia.
Ohhh, of course they don’t come outright and SAY, “Loool, those space wizards deserved what they got! 🤪🤪✊”, but the implication is pretty clear, all the same.
From the very beginning, I knew the showrunner of The Acolyte didn’t like the Jedi or their culture, and said that her show “wouldn’t be kind to them.”
And I could’ve lived with just the stupid vagueness of portraying the Jedi as a pompous bureaucracy (because it’s just an infectious opinion that’s spread through most of the fandom), without FULLY condemning The Acolyte and declaring the show a terrible portrayal of the Jedi and their morality and culture, along with the CANON aspects of the Dark Side being a cancer in The Force that does nothing but make people miserable and cause imbalance in The Force.
But with THIS LINE that is SO clearly a wink and a nudge to the SW fans who believe the Jedi ‘deserved what they got’… 🙄🤢… I’m sorry, but they’ve officially lost me. 😬🤷♀️
There are things that I’d probably like, if I ever can make myself stomach getting through the show: seeing how different cultures view The Force, seeing more of the Jedi Order/culture/Temple/how they teach their students, the characters Sol and Jecki and Yord and Osha—even seeing Jedi fighting style being so different and more defensive while trying to not use their lightsaber unless necessary, since they are in a time of peace.
But for the most part?
With THIS frankly DISGUSTING line, I can say with absolute certainty that The Acolyte is a show that I would never enjoy, and that is frankly not a welcome addition to the SW universe to me.
I appreciate the diversity inclusion, and I find myself relating to that meme that says something like: “When you hate a show, but then realize the other people that hate it are mostly bigots, 🙃🙃” because—unlike THOSE moronic dudebros—my criticism is for the story itself.
It’s a genuine shame. It’s such an interesting premise, getting to see the Jedi in the High Republic Era. But with this… I now know that The Acolyte is a show not worth my—or ANY OTHER pro Jedi fan’s time. 💔😔🤷♀️😬
Only thing I’ll say in defense of it: Mr. Sith (?) IS hot. 🔥❤️🔥
And that’s the only other praise I can give. 🤷♀️
Loool, sorry for the rant. I’m just so pissed off. 😭🤷♀️😂

Mike aka captainpoe is talking shit about me so let me get things straight.
He’s gonna do screenshots of what will makes him look like the victim, like he always does so you will have to believe me on my words (since I coun’t found our conversations by pm) but most people who know me or I've been following me for a long time know that I usually stay out of the drama. Big thanks to my friends for telling me what he was doing behind my back like the adult he is.
3 years ago Mike started following me, I was back then a small blog and I thought “wow a big blog is following me!”
He started to talk me and really fast told me to send him my edits by messages and I did! he also reblogged me on his mcu blog (and his sw blog too... I think).
I was really stressed with a big exam around July and I became obsess with EVERYTHING, I was a true pain in the ass to everyone. I’m not gonna lie. So yeah I also became obsess with my Tumblr notes, I did gifs to relax but it was not working very well back then. my behavior was childish and I apologized to him after!
(He accused me of wanting to be reblogged on his sideblogs, it’s true, but it’s natural to me to reblog everything that people send me or tag me in on my sideblogs, I sincerely don’t understand people problem with reblogging on sideblogs things ).
When he got harassed on here, more like called out (it was actually around the same time I was a dick) he asked me to take his defense and to reblog a post he made, he was basically whining about how he was the victim and never harassed anyone, he sent me messaged telling me that he was a married man in florida and never did anything against the once upon a time fandom, wasn’t homophobic and meh meh meh... Back then I believed him because he was the nice guy who was helping me getting notes in the MCU fandom. He used me, after talking to other members I realized that I wasn’t alone.
I WANT TO APOLOGIES TO THE POEPLE I DIDN’T BELIEVED BACK THEN. I KNOW WHO HE IS NOW.
He started being aggressive but nothing worriedly when TLJ came around, it was a real little thing but I wasn't shipping Rey x poe and I felt like it was problem for him that I wasn’t shipping them. I didn't thought too much about it but still, it left a bad taste in my mouth, I wasn’t talking a lot to him after that.
When I had problems and got hate on my blog he didn't do shit to help me.
I was still sending me my edits because... Notes. I can’t lie about that, like every creators here I want my edits to get notes.
I think we haven’t talked for a verrrry long time, I was sending my edits that’s it.
Last year he asked me to join my GOT blog, after all the reblog he did for me I thought It would be really bitchy to me to not add him as a member. But I also noted that it was funny how he joined both the B99 and the GOT fandom once he realized that it was very popular.
He did edits on the blog so no problem at all, until s8 ended. I’m like everybody, I hated that season but when someone join my sideblogs, especially my got one, I am very clear about the no hate rule (I had problems with that on this blog before). But he thought that since he was popular he could do what he wanted, I deleted the two first he reblogged, one of them was calling people to harass D&D and I hate what they did but as someone who has been victim of bullying at school and still suffer from that I was disgusted by what he posted but I haven’t told him anything since he’s really popular and I didn’t want to create any drama... I have a life so I finally forgot about it.
My laptop broke and gosh, I really understood who he was at that moment! I sent a messages to all the members of my sideblogs asking them to keep the blogs active while I can’t, normal stuff for an admin. I had my tablet with no photoshop... spidey got “fired” and like a lot of other people I thought about that scene in iw where Tony told him “you’re an avenger now”, lucky me I have already made that gifset before so I took my tablet and just reposted my own gifset, it took me so long because I had to convert it back to gif format because of Tumblr... Anyway, later he sent me a message accusing me of having copied him and I haven’t seen his gifset so told him exactly that. He then accused me of doing that ALL THE TIME with endgame and I told him “listen bro we’re both using the same 30 seconds YouTube clips that marvel gave us”, like 20 other people (they were not a lot of people because that channel was weirdly unknown), it’s true that I was doing them after him but it’s just because I have a life and cannot always do gif, I make them when I have time. He also basically told me that I must be rich for having replaced my laptop that fast, I haven’t, I was using my tablet but even if I did replace my laptop, mêle toi de ton cul ( I have no English expression coming to me ).
I really understood who he was then.
He totally stopped making edits for my got blog, because it stopped trending so it wasn’t interesting him anymore.
a few months past and I think the only thing he told me is that he was scared of clowns... Literally.
And then the BIG ONE, I know he was a douche but omg. Mike asked me to reblog ALL his posts on a sideblog I'm only a member of. He told me that the admin have blocked him because she was shipping reylo and well reylos hate him because he’s posting shit on them , they were a huge misunderstanding then (because i’m French and I may not have explained myself right) , I told him that I wouldn’t reblog him if the admin didn’t want to see his posts on the blog, he was blocked! and I was, at the same time, talking to another member of this blog who is a close friend of the admin and she agreed with me. he was very insisting and I told him that the admin was checking what we add to the queue and would certainly delete his posts, it was the big misunderstanding that could have hurt the admin of the blog, I just meant I know she checks what’s happening because she told me when I don’t tag a post with the right tags, it’s just what a good admin (unlike myself) does. I also told him that it was a new blog with “only” 14k followers, he must have something like 50K followers sooooo, and that his edits were getting 100K notes, more than anybody here. He became... I have no words to describe that. He told me that it was a dictatorship if I couldn’t reblog what I wanted, and that I should leave the blog, I stopped answering pretty fast after that.
In our last conversation I was vulgar. (it’s in the post he sent to my friends), he really need to get over it, I’m French and from Normandie : I am vulgar! wtf. It’s also the last thing he ever posted on my game of thrones blog. It was a Sunday either two days after after the last star wars movie came out or ten days ( I don’t remember if he waited a week or not) but he reblogged a text post from his blog sending hate toward the writers of both got and sw and spoiled the entire Star Wars movie on my game of thrones blog, which was “the drop of water that caused the vase to bleed” like annoy me all you want but when people goes on my got blog they don’t want to be spoiled, it was so rude and mean and that post had nothing to do there and it was at least the third time so I told him to “fucking stop” and since mr thinks he is the king he went all “you can’t talk to me like that” “I'm an adult” meh meh meh. I told him to never go in France ‘cause he wouldn't like us. And it was the last time we spoke. Nothing to do directly with me but I would never do what he does to get notes, that man he’s ready to use any big events such as pride or women’s day to get notes. I do make edits for those events too but I'm actually a bisexual woman and not an heterosexual man and I really don’t think he’s doing those edits to show his support to those movements but just to get notes, this year he did the same thing with blm movement I thought it was disrespectful at best, he even made the famous “I we burn you burn with us” gifset from the movie and no, just stop dude. Making that gifset of Naya before she was even found was awful, a lot of people are doing gifs to feel better about things but I don’t think it would have came to anybody else mind to have it ready in their draft. It actually make me think of myself because after they died I made a gifset of Carrie Fisher and Stan Lee and in my head it was a tribute but now that I think back about it I wouldn’t make gifset when people dies anymore, I said it once again but in my head it was a tribute to those wonderful people life and work. I did to feel people and myself a little better in those situations but it didn’t makes me feel better. I thought about it even more, especially for Carrie, because I couldn’t stop thinking about Billie and losing my mom is the worst thing that could happen to me. You can say that, at the end, Mike makes me realize something.
He has been calling out for his behavior but instead of facing it like an adult he just want to take people down instead of him, I'm one of them and I certainly won’t be the only one. it’s someone who doesn’t know how to face the consequences of his behavior and still think he’s untouchable, me and one of my friend said that he thought he was the king of Tumblr and I sincerely think that in his head he is.
Sorry for the grammar I'm French and it’s almost 4 am so I'm gonna check the grammar tomorrow.

Tumblr Tag Game
thank u for the tag, @starlightsearches and @ratboyfanclub :)
1. Why did you choose your username?
At the time, I thought catboys were a really funny concept. I say this as I’m preparing a catboy cosplay, so, hope you see how I’ve evolved. And then I did kenobi because I’ve had a huge crush on Obi Wan for like as a long as I can remember, and the matching sounds.
2. Any sideblogs?
I have one rn, but I’m not gonna tag it akdnkdjf. But like a month ago I had like 8, and some of them got pretty popular.
3. How long have you been on Tumblr?
I think it’ll be a year in like July.
4. Do you have a queue tag?
No. I just spam.
5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?
I have some mutuals on an amino, and one of them said I should get one if I like xyz content. So I did, and I’ve been here since. It quickly became a Star Wars fan blog and grandmacore blog, but i have been ✨ expanding my horizons ✨
6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?
I thought it was funny in a cringe-y way. It’s a picture of Shigaraki from BNHA and his hoodie says “I paused my game to be here.” 12 year old boy vibes.
7. Why did you choose your header?
I don’t have a header showing because I can never find a good one, I’m always changing my mind, and I don’t like how it looks on my blog. it feels like having an overly decorated house and having to mop it everyday
8. What’s your post with the most notes?
I think it’s my recent one where I shared queer sex ed resources.
9. How many mutuals do you have?
28
10. How many followers do you have?
89 *lip bite* but if it makes me look cooler i block like 30% of the people that follow me. i’m big among sugar daddies
11. How many people do you follow?
343
12. Have you ever made a shitpost?
never in my life
13. How often do you use Tumblr each day?
like 2-3 hours. if i’m reading fanfic late into the night it gets longer though
14. Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?
the only one i would ever call like an argument was on a sideblog about the ethics of stuff in the anarchy community. i’m glad it happened though because the person changed my mind and i think differently about it now. but we did have to fight off like 4 other blogs with knives /hj
15. How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?
tbh it usually makes me feel like shit, even if i do rb it, cause i know others will probably feel similarly. i definitely am more of an activist in person so i remind myself a lot that not rbing something doesn’t make me a shitty person.
16. Do you like tag games?
yeah!! i love seeing what others write. usually i get shy about tagging other people though, especially if all of the mutuals i interact with most have already been tagged. so i’m gonna tag some mutuals i usually don’t tag today (i want to get to know u!!! /gen!!)
17. Do you like ask games?
yeah, i just usually go way too-in-depth or always go off topic lol.
18. Which of your mutuals do you think is Tumblr famous?
like tumblr famous or irl famous? cause tumblr famous is definitely Star in the SW community i think, but i have suspicions that Lita is secretly a twitch gamer streamer or something. but i would say if anyone Leo is famous irl. modeling or something. but i have another mutual (hi Gwyn!!) from an old community i was in that is an ice skater, and they’re starting to get more popular, so good for them.

Coming Attractions!
First Monday of the month, which means Coming Attractions Post!
(Especially since I skipped last month, whoops…)
Before we get into it, as I always do in these things, plug for my Discord server--it’s pretty quiet, but basically a slightly more interactive version of this tumblr. Sometimes I talk a little more about origfic or other stuff than I do here, too.
Also, this is not my only hobby! As some of you may know, one of my others is lacework, and I now have a sideblog for that. I have pictures of my completed projects up there, and will probably have more stuff as I start…well…making more stuff.
Anyway. On to the actual writing stuff aka why most of you are here (also a few requests for feedback/Opinions behind the cut).
So, I didn’t get much done over the month until, like…the last few days. In part because work got super bonkers for reasons I’m still Cranky at but that is a vent for my personal blog, lol.
Precipice:
I have threeish scenes left, which I’m probably going to do as one more chapter (unless they end up Super Long, then I might split it into two). That’ll close out Arc Seven, and the first big chunk of this fic. As I’ve said before, I’ll split off into a sequel fic (working title Protectors) at that point, along with doing a sort of…interquel, working title Preludes, that mostly deals with integrating Rebels content. Also probably Maul.
Right now, I’m tentatively planning six installments to Preludes? Mostly because six feels like a nice number to work with, lol. These will be one-shots that aren’t super interconnected, all taking place during the six-year timeskip. These are the ones I’m thinking about doing as of right now (subject to change, and I welcome suggestions!):
one involving Kallus on Coruscant, shortly before he gets reassigned to Lothal;
one involving Hera and whoever her contact is in this AU (since Ahsoka’s doing something different from the Fulcrum stuff);
one where Kanan and Ezra connect with Obi-Wan et al. (probably through Hondo);
one with Luke, probably similar to that one episode where Leia turns up in Rebels canon;
I really do need to figure out what the heck is going on with Maul, don’t I.
…something else????
The only ones I’m 100% sure about including are the one with Kallus and the one where the various Jedi link up because those are necessary and/or plot-relevant, though I’m still working out specifics (especially on the Jedi one). I may also include something with Thrawn, since I’m doing something different with him than canon did. Like I said, I welcome thoughts/suggestions/etc.
Protectors will then pick up six years after the end of Arc Seven, with Arc Eight. And, as a treat, the working titles for Arcs Eight and Nine are Escalation and Watershed. In theory, I’m planning to post Preludes alongside arcs eight and nine, but we’ll see.
…anyway, uh, what I forgot to mention earlier is that my plan is to wrap up arc seven/the first fic in this series this month. Hopefully I will actually pull that off XD. And then we move on to the other stuff.
Other SW Fic Projects:
Big Bang is coming up again! I think signups will be next month? I’m considering three different plotlines as of right now, though that’s assuming I don’t come up with something new and exciting and/or another ObiAniDala plotline, which is what I seem to do every year…which one I end up doing probably depends at least partly on how S2 of the Mandalorian goes, since two of the three ideas heavily feature Bo-Katan. Of course, one of those lacks a plot and the other is pretty episodic/involves a lot of blank space I still need to fill in…
Anyway, we’ll see how that goes after the show airs and I get more event information, especially since it’s going to be structured differently/teaming up writers and betas much earlier in the process, which will be nice and possibly help chronically-undecided me actually pick something so I’m not scrambling to finish at the last minute but given that it’s me I probably will be anyway XD
As for other SW projects…I still owe a few meme fills from, like, April…but otherwise, extant projects are mostly back-burnered for now.
AtLA Projects:
Aka, the reason why SW projects other than Precipice and SWBB (and any one-shots/prompt fills that occur to me) are back-burnered, lol.
I am working on an AU outline, set to come out this month. There’s a couple of fulltext fics I’m playing with. I haven’t gotten any actual text written down yet, but I know where I’m going with them, at least to start.
The AU outline will be a canon-divergent thing set during the Ba Sing Se arc, and will be hopefully out Soon.
Fulltext fic #1 is…basically, the premise is, Lu Ten had a lover during the Siege, the soundtrack to this fic involves a lot of West Side Story, he left her with someone to remember him by, and then there’s some mindbending and complicated politics after his death. I think I talked a little more about this in a previous post? Anyway, one of the things I’m considering is whether to just tell this story linearly, or to start several years later, and go into the whole star-crossed lovers backstory as she regains her memories of what actually happened. The advantage to the first option is that it’s easier to work with shifting POV, which I prefer; and also involves more canon characters more quickly. The advantage to the second is that I think it would work really well for this particular storyline? Assuming I could get people invested in her and/or Ba Sing Se Politics/Worldbuilding that fast …y’know, when I think about it like that, maybe linear is the best option, lol…
Fulltext fic #2 is an Avatar Zuko AU, where he figures it out at age thirteen, and at that point decides he has roughly three and a half years until the comet, aka three and a half years to figure out how to make all this work (not to mention at least starting to learn air, water, and earth), and hopefully by then he’ll know what he should be doing with it? Whether it’s to resurface and Prove His Worth by defending the Fire Nation during the leadup to the comet, or something else (though Something Else doesn’t quite occur to him until he starts doing the other stuff). This will heavily feature at least one of my old OCs, and probably a few others (and likely one or two new ones), especially during the first two years. I’ve got things more or less worked out up until Aang resurfaces and Zuko’s plans have to shift/he has to cut his earthbending year short (much to Toph’s annoyance). Because once Aang is awake, everyone thinks he’s the Avatar (he’s not; there’s another explanation for how he iceberg’d for a century), and that fact just escalates All Of The Things.
((I’ve mentioned before that I am Pathologically Incapable of not creating a bunch of OCs and AtLA is a particularly strong example of that, so...yeah, that’ll be a Thing in pretty much anything I write in this fandom))
…anyway, this should be fun, once I actually get actual text down XD
Original Fic:
I did write one thing last month! Which was nice. Hopefully, I’ll get a bit done this month, too. For those of you who don’t know, most of my original stuff is posted on rainbowfic, which is a great community and if you guys do original stuff you post online, you should come join.
I’ve also started poking at a couple of new concepts, because that is how my brain do. Including one Arthuriana story despite the fact that I’m not super into Arthuriana but then my brain was like “what if Mordred was a girl?” and welp. Here I am.
NaNo:
I’m proooooooobably going to do a similar setup to what I had the past couple years--set myself a wordcount goal, but not bind myself to any single project. Depending on how things go this month, either with Precipice!verse or SWBB or my AtLA stuff, or if that Mordred thing catches on, I might try to prioritize one or more things (like, have my goal be 20k on X project, and 30k on other stuff), but I’ll decide that closer to the date.
…I think that’s everything! What are you guys up to lately? Does anyone have NaNo plans? Any thoughts on stuff I mentioned on my docket, so to speak? What’s on your mind?

Hi! I saw the movie during a midnight special screen and I came put shipping the hell out of reylo and I'm not so sure what to do. I remember when I saw TFA, I thought "people will ship them" but nothing else, I didn't feel it FOR ME at the time and when I saw tumblr's bad reaction to it, it scared me to even give an opinion. Somehow, my blog ended being a little bit popular and every time I talked about shipping and whatnot, people came and questioned me if "I was a reylo" +
I It was super scary for me. I always said no because I truly wasn't interested in them as a ship at the time. Slowly, I stopped talking about ships in general and then I concentrated in one in particular, and things went to hell. I have always been a Kylo/Ben fan and people was always judging me, even suggesting I should change my blog and URL, and making fun of my english (i'm not american), but I got to make a few friends. But now... As we got closer to TLJ, I became certain Rey and Kylo +
were going to become a thing, I was just sure. I realized I wasn't against that and that I was truly fine with it, because everything I saw of TLJ was just SO. GOOD. and every time I entered my blog again, I saw on my dash more and more hate towards the movie, Rain Johnson and Lucasfilm in general. My friends that I've known for so long scare me so much, and I know them so well I know the second I make public in my blog that I now support this ship, they will tear me down like they had done +
every person that doesn't agree with them. It scares me so much to lose my friends more than to lose my "place" as a popular SW blog, and I also fear rejecting on this fandom because my blog's name has been linked to antis for a while, even when I was never an anti but I'm friends... or was friends, with some of them. I'm not sure if I should just leave tumblr or create another blog and start fresh, or what the hell to do. What advice do you give me?
Wow this is a packed ask, but so SO important - I can’t give you the right answer, but I’ll tell you how I might approach the situation..thank you for asking me.
I think my general response would be that any friend who would tear you apart for beginning to ship something is just...not a very good friend? I know that’s not a simple response, or easy to hear, but I feel like life is just far too short to surround ourselves with people who would do that?
I have friends who don’t get shipping, but they don’t...tear me down or make me feel bad about it.
Fandom friends are tricky, and I think especially so when you’re fandom is involved in being ‘anti’ something - even though you weren’t, it was tied to you and your friends. The moment you dissent from the crowd is the moment the boat rocks and it’s hard to get through it.
I’m very sorry that liking something like this causes such fear in you, that really doesn’t sound like a healthy fandom experience to me. I really feel like if I were you, I would do some soul searching and ask:
Am I willing to lead a ‘double life’ with my friends by not saying anything, making another blog to hide my reylo enjoyment, and pretending no one knows?
I’ll say this - I created this very blog account the moment I walked out of TFA. Why did I do that? Because I wanted a separate account to just completely devote to the fangirling I was about to do. I wanted to follow everyone and everything and dive into it. And why didn’t I do it on my personal blog? Many reasons, but mostly... I knew what I was getting into - people weren’t going to like Reylo, there was going to be issues. But I wanted to be one of those accounts that could act as a gathering place for Reylo fans, as Ohtze puts it I’m a ‘reylo aesthetic’ blog (so true). And I wanted to do that without worrying about the judgment from other fandom folllowers or even RL friends. I think that stuff is mostly moot though, because my friends all know by now that I’m full blast Reylo - and that’s fine with them. I just keep all my fangirling here because otherwise my personal accounts (Twitter/tumblr) would just basically be a reylo one lol THAT’S SO SPAMMY.
I think you could go that route, and eventually if your friends are REALLY your friends and good/decent people...they’ll still be there. And hey you could even make new reylo-flavored friends! =)
But I think from what you’re saying...your followers/popularity are from a bit of a bad/negative place somewhat? Like no one should have the audacity to tell you to change your url or whatever...that’s your blog?? You can do what you want with it.
And as to the reylo fandom rejection...I think if you’re going to convert your blog to something that’s friendly/open to Reylo, the only thing you should do is just participate positively in the fandom. I’m sure there will be some people in this fandom who might not like it or be really wary, but as long as you’re authentic and love the ship then you’ll find your place soon enough in the fandom.
Also, I know you’re not an anti, but I feel you might find this post useful. It was an interesting insight.
I would totally never say you should leave tumblr. At worst I would suggest a sideblog or separate account like I did, but again you’d be ‘living’ a double life so could you really still be good friends with them like that? Watching them tear down people you agree with? =\
It’s up to you on your path, but I think...if you wanted to be direct about it, make a post explaining everything and lay it out there, then convert your blog to whatever youw ant it to be. Start posting stuff you want, etc.
But if you wanted to be indirect, then maybe a sideblog and just tell your friends and watch the chips fall where they may? It’s such a tricky situation, but I don’t think the friends are worth all the trouble - but I’m not YOU, I can’t make that call because I don’t have all the facts.
I’ll just say that, from one Reylo to another, you’d be welcome here on whatever blog you choose.
#fandom#asks#such a tough question but thank you for asking and sharing#i hope i helped =\#tlj spoilers#spoilers#tlj#Anonymous

Noel’s Star Wars verse is, honestly, getting a good deal of attention. I’m wondering three things:
Should I make his SW verse into a dedicated blog by itself, rebranding him as an original character? Should I make it a sideblog, or should I keep it as it is now, and hope historical rpc folk that follow me don’t get annoyed with the amount of SW stuff I have planned to do?
Giving him his own side or dedicated blog would open up more room to develop other versions of the SW verse - ones in which he’s significantly Force Sensitive, EU verse, Sequel era, prequel era, bounty hunter!Noel, etc etc?
Vote now on your phones!

I ship Reylo almost immediately after watching TFA and still follow quite a lot of Reylo blogs, but to be honest I just feel much less connected to the Reylo fans here on Tumblr. I still somewhat ship Reylo to a certain extent, but the materials in A LOT of very prominent Reylo blogs simply make me feel that (sometimes unconscious) racism is so rooted in the mind of a lot bloggers.
Some very prominent Reylo blogs might write a lot about Rey, Ren or Reylo, including both analysis about TFA and speculation about episode VIII, but there are probably 1 or 2 posts about Finn in the whole blog. It isn’t like they have a sideblog exclusively about Reylo (because their blogs have lots of posts about Star Wars in general, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, etc.), but still I can hardly find any posts about Finn, either arts or fanfics or metas.
Another thing is that there is A LOT of assumptions about how Ren turned to the dark side, which lead to too much sympathy from fans that I think he doesn’t deserved. He turned when he was freaking 23-year-old adult, but from some of the posts I read it feels like Snoke manipulated him the moment he was conceived in his mother’s womb (even though there’s no where in canon indicating that). Yes, I understand that there is a thing called headcanon, but it also leads to the question: Why are so many people ready to create headcanons to put less blame on this white man in order to sympathize more with him?
People might argue that “these are Reylo blogs and they just find Rey and Ren much more interesting and intriguing than Finn, so they just blog about Rey and Ren and not about Finn.” But these blogs still occasionally have posts about Leia and Han and other white characters, and honestly I think Finn’s story and personalities are more interesting than Leia’s and much more interesting than Han’s, yet, as I said, I could only find a few posts about Finn in the whole blog.
Obviously people have the right to specifically like something and only post about what they like. But when in the whole exclusively-SW blog with hundreds or thousands of posts and there are barely any posts about Finn even though he is the one leading this new trilogy with Rey, I honestly just feel they should question whether racism makes them favoring Rey and Ren, who happen to be white characters, and COMPLETELY ignore Finn.
