i can't stop thinking that for kaiser's plan to work through there has been a time in which he had to look to ness perfect and whipped. like, there's no other way ness would have fell for all that: emotional attachment and all that need for ness to satisfy and appease kaiser can only be created once he experiences somekind of affection from kaiser, which was most likely faked and everything, whatever. but it was there!! like, for a couple of months at least, kaiser was probably the BEST friend (or else 👀) the most caring and affectionate guy EVER to ness. and ness is super aware that their relationship changed, there is no other way for it to go: ness feels the need to bring it back to how it was because he thinks that the before was true and real and something achievable.

just like he is sueper aware that kaiser treats him like shit and that the relationship is wrong, he just justifies himself for staying because he thinks that if he were to make kaiser happy enough they could go back to how 'perfect' they were befpo.re .,man wait tearing up pause

ok im back anyway sorry for the super long rant this was. something. also it was all because i saw someone wondering whether ness' flashbacks of the 'happy time' with kaiser were made up by him or deeply altered by his status of unreliable narrator and i just. think that no?? they most certainly felt like that to ness becase otherwise he would not have stayed. that's literally the most basic requirement for abusive relationship. whateverrr sorry 🙏 have a good day

no literally. like I want to know if kaiser did actually have a soft side around ness or if it was all a play from kaiser. because we don't get kaisers pov when it comes to those beginning events with him and ness. and my theory is that kaiser did intend on manipulating ness the whole time, but I do think there were vulnerable moments he had with ness that he can't take back. I think there definitely more personal moments that kept ness in close that kaiser either deeply regrets or chooses not to look back on. I don't think he wants to admit it to himself that at some point he did start to see ness as a friend. and I think seeing isagi reminded kaiser of his goal to be the best soccer player and it kinda snapped him out if it.

                              He wondered what had even happened to her and the cat. Clearly, the butterfly had something to do with it, but Monkey was pretty much in the dark. They all knew better than to question the Supreme. Besides, it wasn't like they didn't know who their targets were. Their identities didn't stay secret for very long once she'd been discovered as a traitor. But the miraculous holder didn't want to have to use that information against her. He would though. Maybe he could get through to her first.

                              ❝ Do you really think He can be stopped? Don't be delusional, the Supreme always comes out on top. You're just making things harder on the rest of us and yourself. Everyone knows who you are, Marinette. You're not gonna win. Not in the end. ❞

                              He was ready to fight her, and wasn't afraid to use his staff. He could use his powers too. If it meant that he could be in the Supreme's good graces, he would do it. There was no room for weakness here. Things had only gotten worse as more Miraculous were stolen.

                              ❝ You're right, I do appreciate not being shot with a crossbow. But you have to know I can't go back empty handed. If you give it up now, maybe you won't be punished as harshly. Don't make me fight you, bug. ❞

So the other day during Japan travels, I was able to meet the ingenious ticklingduck (this links to his Twitter account), master of t-word equipment development and innovation 🙌🏻🤩

After hearing him explain some of his ideas, I am so sure that he will be the one to bring the first t-wording machine into this world (😨🙃) I just know it! But until then, definitely worth checking out some of his current devices: some of the few tools in our community specifically made for t-wording (rather than being repurposed from an every day object LOL) 😱😍- and btw because of that fact alone, these tools are kinda uhhhh….. unreasonably effective adjfksla

I think the reason why most of the fandom tends to think of misako as the worse parent when garmadon has done a lot more awful things (looking at season 8-9) is because we barely see her bond with lloyd

on the top of my head I can only think of like two moments where she ever bonded with lloyd which was when she talked to lloyd about why she left and when she told him about her and garmadons relationship in season 2

meanwhile garmadon and lloyd bonded a lot in season 3 and 4, even back in season 1 they had some moments which is a lot more that what misako has. to me, misako feels more like an familiar to lloyd than his mother, simply because we never really see them emotionally bond or actually talk in private aside from some exceptions

cece I saw this one post a few days ago about steve borrowing (stealing?) your hair ties to tie the longer bits of his hair into little baby ponytails and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I just want to tie his hair up for him!!!!! is that too much to ask </3

steve absolutely, one hundred percent, always has one of your hair ties on him at all times, this is fact.

he starts taking them before he even thinks to use them. the plain elastics are on his wrists like they’re part of his daily jewelry collection. and the bigger, fluffier scrunches are around the gear shift in his car like interior decoration (because there is no way in hell he’s getting those fluffy dice that hang from the rear-view mirror. and also because he likes to have a piece of you wherever he goes).

his hair just progressively starts getting in the way: he has to brush it away from his face more than usual, the summer months are brutal when his hair grows farther past his neck. and thanks to him borrowing your elastics, he’s tying the top half of his hair back in a little ponytail. mindlessly. he feels a little silly at first, but it feels so much nicer than he expected. so the half-up half-down style is his go-to in the summer, definitely.

and when you’re playing with his hair, you tie it in two tiny pigtails. he only really lets you because it makes you giggle

I just thought something, Captain Marvel isn’t an inherited title. In the OG comics and still in a lot of later ones it’s specifically a chosen one thing, we know that with Billy, but his entire family is honorary members and titles passed between close friends and family specifically to share the power. Not pass it on.

Billy has 3 potential candidates for succession depending on canons; The original being BillBat from the 30th century, Power of Shazam’s CeCe Beck from the 90th century, and Tanist of the 853rd century in the DC 1,000,000 comics.

Only one is actually related to Billy, and that’s BillBat of earth, his distant descendant. CeCe is from Bindermann and Tanist is from Mercury, both having stumbled into the RoE some how and have no prior relation.

No one in the current Marvel family as they know it is supposed to usurp Billy or replace him, he’s supposed to take the Wizards mantle fully later on in life and wait until his successor is old enough to inherit his power. Billy has to live to see that day, weather it’s 1,000 or 7,000 or 83,000 years into the future, he has to make it to pass the torch to the next being Pure of Heart and Strong of Spirit.

There is no replacing Marvel in the modern day, no keeping his name alive till the next guy needed, Conner has no expected inheritance or standards if he’s taken in as a member of the Marvel family. He can be whatever he wants as long as he’s a good person, he could wear his symbol and call himself Junior or another Lieutenant Marvel but he doesn’t have to.

There has to be a Superman once Clark’s gone, he’s too much of a symbol to fade, he means too much. But in a way Marvel doesn’t, and it’s not something bad or sad in context.

Being Captain Marvel is always shown as a thankless and isolating job, but one that has to be done to keep ancient evils at bay and the balance of Magic in order. That’s why Billy takes the job as Wizard only when Shazam dies, magic needs a warden but he doesn’t want that job right away, when he takes it he chooses Freddy as a champion to be Captain Marvel but they aren’t Shazam, he is. That’s what separates the Wizards champion, which is what Billy is, from the gods champions that his family is.

Conner has no expectation in his family, not because he isn’t good enough or because of a flaw in his upbringing, but because of a highly selective criteria for a job no one really wants.
