Okay, so I talked about my interpretation of Clemmie a little over here where I described why I lowkey ship my interpretation of Clemmie and Lyssie (I think you've mentioned wanting to read my oc fic, Close Your Eyes, so I suppose I should warn you that there are spoilers for that in the previously linked post).

Anyway, I'm more of a Clemensia did join the Rebellion but more as a once she can extrapolate her own suffering at Gaul's hands as a wider issue of the Capitol. They let her get away with that, and she'd want revenge even subconsciously.

I think that once she starts going down the path of rebellion against the Capitol, she will start to emphasize more with the Districts (this happens faster in my fic because of bonding with Lyssie reasons but if that doesn't happen, I think she could get there independently), but at some level, there will always be revenge on her mind.

I really love you and Lily pointing out that Clemensia isn't just one-dimensionally nice! I've always thought that Clemensia is obviously nice and pleasant to her friends, but in my head, she would have a vindictive side.

I think a lot of people excuse Clemensia's behavior after the snake bite as just a consequence of the venom or the circumstance (not you or anyone specifically, I'm talking generally as I never see it addressed), and while it is definitely a consequence of the situation. It's not easy having one of your close friends seemingly turn his back on you while you suffer through something like this alone, and everyone who is treating you is in on the coverup.

It's obviously not her at her best, but I do think that the vindictiveness that this event has activated won't go away. To me, her behavior to Coriolanus and Reaper after she's released from the hospital is her lashing out. In my mind, her refusal to feed Reaper is actually directly linked to her lashing out at Coriolanus, but since, Coriolanus isn't really a viable target for her rage in this public setting and seeing he is also a Capitolite, she subconsciously (or consciously we don't know) takes her anger out on Reaper by not even trying to send him food (Ch. 18) and isn't it interesting that once she and Coriolanus have their unspoken moment of forgiveness with the soap (Ch. 20), she becomes more concerned about getting food for Reaper? She states:

“A lot of good it will do me,” Clemensia murmured to Coriolanus. “He doesn’t trust me enough to eat anything I send.”

She's known Coriolanus for years. She can reason away him not going against Gaul (for now. idk after he starts apprenticing under her), because what can he really do? She asks. I think that once she starts stewing on matters, she could very well redirect her anger to Gaul and eventually the Capitol as a whole.

Also, for people who haven't read the other post, the privilege that Anon is referring to is: her popularity, her affluent family (in my other post, I was comparing her to Lyssie. contrasting Clem's dad being a politician while Lyssie's parents being doctors), and being close to Snow (I think he would have a small blindspot for Clemmie and Festus. Not that it would mean much in the end but... it's a small smokescreen).

Furthermore, Clemensia is nice and pleasant, but it's interesting that she's not one of the people Coriolanus invites to Sejanus' posthumous birthday party in the Epilogue. I think she does enforce the Capitol-District divide, but there's some empathy there. She's able to put herself in the shoes of people from the District when she states that the tributes might be made into Avoxes if the Games are cancelled, and then saying that it would be what she would prefer over death (Ch. 6). I don't think most Capitolites would outloud compare their own opinions to those of the Tributes (it feels like a small admittance to a certain level of equality). I think in tbosas, Clemensia's empathy for the Districts is just a seed, but again, it can grow.

Also Clemensia and Coriolanus as potential foils in how they react to the snake bite incident would be interesting to explore. Both of them coming to the same conclusion about them being seen as expendable by the Capitol at large, but potentially doing different things about it. Also the irony of someone named Clemensia leaning into revenge is fun to think about for me (although I think that again she probably starts empathizing with the Districts at some point). I think it would be fun if she never truly grapples with how her want for revenge against the Capitol affects her decisions. I like that to everyone around her, she says she's doing the right thing, but deep down, she knows it not completely altruistic which is the main cause of conflict in my ideal clemmie/lyssie ship. she knows that lyssie is so good and yet.. okay, i'll stop

(there could also be something cool about Clemensia potentially wielding forgiveness like a weapon in the same way the virtue/goddess Clementia was wielded by Julius Caesar to weaken his enemies' standing as enemy's allies were more willing to surrender to Caesar due to his rep for clemency. something about Coriolanus finding absolution in Gaul's ideology but Clemensia somehow finding a way to use his guilt for the snakes against him years later or her getting info from the dead men walking that fell out of Snow's favor through pedaling her own absolution. "You can make a difference. Tell me his secrets.")

Mirage has been to fancy restaurants before, even if its not really her scene. She's gone for her friend's birthday dinners, and maybe even for her own. But Sasha and Neech taking her to one for a date??

First off, this is her first relationship. Being far too used to casual flings or situationships, those didn't necessarily call for dates at fancy places.. so this is kinda huge for Miri. But its with them and she knows there's nothing for her to be nervous about when it comes to them, I think she's more so worried about sticking out like a sore thumb. She worries about what to wear, how to Look, certainly she shouldn't stick to those animal print or colorful mini dresses she loves-- she doesn't want to look like the girl they picked off a dating app, Mirage wants to look like their girlfriend because that's what she is.

💥 First Fight/Making Up HC (any au)

Its not really a fight, Sasha and Neech don't fight. It's more of a disagreement and argument. The first time probably during the process of Sasha mentoring Anetra and her little brother, probably a biting comment Neech would've made to someone in the capitol or for pushing off the career tribute and getting a few kicks in him for messing with her brother in the training center. She wasn't supposed to show off any of her abilities until she was in the arena but she wasn't going to let anyone lay a hand on her brother as long as she was there.

Sasha's a Leo and it shows. She's a possessive kind of jealous, even if she knows and would never doubt Anetra and Mirage's love for her. That being said, whats hers is hers. She's observant and knows the signs of someone flirting with whats hers. When it comes to Anetra she makes her way to him, wraps a hand around his bicep or kisses his jaw... When its Mirage she'll let the girl have her fun, they know how Miri's always been sociable, that on nights out she practically gets drinks for free.

She loves to dance and her stamina lasts much longer than theirs so its more than okay for her to dance with other people. Sometimes Mirage will purposely try to tick Sasha off to get a certain reaction from her, she knows Sasha doesn't like when hands linger a little too long and a bit too inappropriately.

Jealous Mirage is petty.. bratty.. sometimes she can be a bit toxic. Before Sasha and Neech were a couple, she absolutely loved being his girl and that isn't to say she ever really stopped being his girl rgkiubeguib But anyway, its normal to get jealous when your besties hang out with their other friends/dont spend as much time with you.

When she does become their third, like Sasha, I think Mirage could also get territorial with him when it comes to other people flirting with him. Whether its another woman or a man, doesn't matter. I don't think he realizes at first if/when he's being hit on but Miri would spot it and she hangs off his neck, smirking when his arm wraps around her waist. Thats her and Sasha's boy.

When it comes to her being jealous over Sasha.. I think Sasha would raise a brow if Miri were to get petty/bratty about it, she doesn't really seem like the type to put up with shit. If there's something wrong she should use her words but Miri doesn't use her words lmaooo, and then it toes that dangerous line of spiraling further and Mirage then feeling childish..

Jealous Anetra... I think its not as common for him to be unlike his girlfriends. That being said, when it does happen, it stems from the insecurity of not feeling enough which then could toe that dangerous line of his fear of abandonment from the two people he loves the most/the only people he really has..

“THIS IS A FUN QUESTION! Even though it requires me to talk about my years as a kid, which is a little embarrassing hehe. So we were fourteen at the time. So little. I love looking at old pictures. We were so awkward and cute. And I was kinda brooding. I was going through a lot at the time, and I spent a lot of time on the shores of Cinnabar Island. When I was eleven and first going on my journey, Cinnabar was a super cool island and had a gym on it, but when I was 13 or 14, the volcano there erupted. Like a huge island-ruining eruption. Blaine had to move his gym and everything.

“So I’m there, on the shores of Cinnabar, thinking about it. Things change with the weather. You can do perfectly well one day and be ruined the next. Things aren’t always permanent.”

“But I’m sitting there, staring at the ocean, and some random guy (hair like a halo framing his face while he casts a shadow on me and looks down to make eye contact) runs up and starts yelling at me about how he’s trying to get all of the gym badges, and I’m the last one, and what am I doing just sitting out here. So I ask to see his badges—y’know, I’m not just gonna battle some baby with one Pokémon—and he’s legit. He pulls out three cases. All of the Unova badges, all of the Johto badges, and all of the Kanto badges but mine.

“So like I can’t just reject him at this point! I’ve built myself up as this super strong trainer. So I tell him to show up to my gym in like half an hour. I’m stretching and stuff. I’ve always been someone who pushes myself past my limits and stuff.

“So I get there, and he’s already beaten the gym puzzle, and is waiting for me. His belt of Poké Balls click together as he shifts back and forth on his heels. He’s smiling when I get there—smiling, even though he had to wait for me twice now—and I just muster up a wave. I definitely said some cocky asshole thing. Can’t remember exact quotes, but no way he wasn’t forced to see that side of me.

“We’re battling, and it’s tough, and it’s close, but he wins. My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe that some random guy was strong enough to do that. And when he wins, he cheers and holds his arms out, and his Meganium runs over and hugs him. I flashed back to what my Gramps said about how bonds with Pokémon make a trainer much stronger. I’d since bonded with mine, but his affection for his Pokémon was like family.

“Quentin stood there sweaty and worn out, watching me stare at him. He came over to me and jokingly asked if I wanted one, too. I didn’t even manage to speak before I realized that he wasn’t joking, and he pulled me in and squeezed me tight for a few seconds. He grinned when he pulled away, and I said some snarky thing, and he wished me a goodbye before going off to who-knows-where.

“I come back home to visit my family, and I tell my sister, Daisy, about my day over tea. She watches, and at one point, she goes “Awww! How cute!”, and for a second I think “It’s not like romantic or anything I don’t feel that kind of stuff for him or anything we just met!!!”, but then everything that I’d said clicked in my head, and I realized that of course she was right. I was totally head over heels at first sight.

“I instead told her that I’d probably never see him again, so there was no point to thinking things like that, and she got that mischievous glint in her eyes. (Gramps says that all of us Oaks have our mischievous streaks, and he’s right, no matter how much each of us has denied it.)

“So, a few days later, I get a call from some random number. I assume it’s Gym Leader stuff, so I pick up and ask who it is. It turned out to be Quentin, who immediately told me that he got my number from Daisy. It turned out he’d been going to her to have tea and get his Pokémon groomed, and she recognized that it was the same guy based on my description. It was just like her to do stuff like this.

“So we started off just calling each other to schedule rematches, which could go either way. I couldn’t believe how strong he was, since I was and still am one of the strongest trainers ever. But eventually we started calling to talk to each other. Calls that lasted for hours, where we’d just talk to each other, all the way into the night. Then I asked if he wanted to get some ice cream together, and it felt like my heart exploded when he said yes. So that’s basically how we got together, and I knew that he was the one from the beginning!

“What drew me to him was his strength and his resilience and his unwillingness to back down. Plus, his looks and his smile and his laugh and his kindness and affection towards everyone. I was so bitter, but he totally softened me up.” -Blue

“We met through contests! He’d been doing contests in Hoenn, but wanted to try Sinnoh ones. He watched his first one in Sinnoh, and it was one that I was in. Practically the second it was over, he was by my side, telling me how amazingly I did. That was the start of our friendship! We kinda became rivals at some point, when he started entering them, too, but we still supported each other and were happy when the other won. I would hit him with a “No need to worry!” when he was stressed out before a contest, and he’d always respond by looking over at me and giving me a big toothy grin.

“Slowly, we started to get closer. We went from acquaintances to friends to best friends to eventually me falling for him (and eventually dating him). I’m not even sure when I fell in love with him. I only know when I realized it. We were checking out a market, and I was pulling him along by the hand, so that we wouldn’t get separated, and it just hit me out of nowhere how perfect it felt for us to be holding hands. Like it should be something we’re doing all the time. I flashed back to when we were cuddling on the couch and I leaned my head on him and sighed contentedly. Being with Quentin felt right. It felt perfect.

What initially drew me in was how supportive he is! No matter what I do or what I try, he’s my number one cheerleader. Plus, his passion for everything that he does! And how he cares so much about everything and everyone. I love him so much!” -Dawn

I like the fandom, fanart, rewrites, and the people I've met. The show itself? Just meh. But lots of cool ideas and alternate takes people have done on it. And I can appreciate it for what it's done for people and myself. (It's how I met MOST of my friends). It's weirdly special to me despite it being obsolete. TD;LR, The show is meh and I technically don't like it for the show, but for all the people and friends I made along the way.

Which is worst: Velma or High Guardian Spice

I'll give HGS this...at least it's original. Yeah, it's not great, but I can see where SOME people could like it. I don't think it's good, but it's not too offensive...at times. It's just boring.

Meanwhile, Mindy Kaling literally had EVERYTHING laid out for her, considering the numerous adaptations and development these beloved characters have been given. ....Yet she decided to ignore ALL of that in favor of creating some stereotypical, cookie-cutter characters and slapped the names of the originals over them. Just to get people watching the show.

Representation should not be the selling point of your show. Same with HGS' main selling point was women writing and animating the show. Like that's great and all that Velma has a diverse cast....now is it any good? Is there a plot? What are you offering that's any different from any other race switch show like She-Ra? At least they didn't advertise it with some half-assed "meta-humor" about the races changing.

Essentially anarchism with a focus on one's individual gain aka honk is a selfish bastard =).

The Capitol had killed Mrs. Tisdale to sent a message to Declan: Watch your back and keep your mouth shut. A lump forms in Henry’s throat and he has to look away from his old mentor. “I don’t know what to do,” he managed to choke out. Declan’s hand is on his shoulder then, sturdy and strong. “You show them that what they previously thought about you is false, even if it’s a lie. You make yourself appealing to help her. The Capitol thinks you’re rude, aloof, and selfish. And you are two of those. But,” his hand is on Henry’s chin then, lifting his head so that he could look at him, “you are not selfish, Henry Haber. You have a bigger heart than you let on. I can see that.” He lets go and takes a step back, never breaking eye contact. “Now you have to convince them.” “But how do I do that?” Declan’s shoulders lift in a shrug. “You made a good start today, even if you didn’t mean to. You showed compassion to Susmita for the whole country to see.” His eyes gleam at the boy. “That girl could be your salvation.”
