Hello! I’ve finished season 2 of hfth recently and wanted to draw how some of the characters might look at the end of it

Literally cried when Clem got the jacket from Violet, and the fact she chose a name that Violet would have given her daughter, man, you can’t do that to my poor heart

Also time to start my robot-looking Percy propaganda, I love that he got a physical body, and he’s so happy with it as well :D

She lay in a catlike heap in a wheelbarrow of sorts that Shelby had rigged to a kind of leather shoulder harness, which Clem thought was hot but could not do anything about from the wheelbarrow.

Never getting over Riot and Clementine in Hello From The Hallowoods!!! Like,,,

The girl who was made solely to replace someone long enough to be convincing, body falling apart without ageing, simply not made to last.

And her sister, the girl who exists as the original iteration, fighting desperately to retain and recover the life that she's lost.

The way that they both tried so hard to be recognised as seperate, independent individuals. To have their differing experiences reconciled as those of two different people. Intrinsically linked together but different nonetheless. And like, isn't that just sisterhood? Clementine picked a new name so she wouldn't have to be the 'other Riot'. She created a life for herself, outside of the purpose she was crafted for, as a sister rather than a clone. And Riot let her, made space for her to grow into a person that shared aspects of her life --their Mother and their home-- but that wasn't trapped trying to be another version of a Riot.

They tried so, so hard to be their own people. And they succeeded! Yet despite it all these two different people, these sisters, are pushed back into a single form, frankensteined together to save at least one of them. Two dying girls who forged their separate paths, reconverging so that someone can live; the new person sharing half the soul of each of them, both unwilling to let one sacrifice themself to make room for the other. The way they cared about each other too much to have the other erased, and the way that they are prepared to face an unknown result so they don't have to. The fact that this results in neither of them becoming the same person, but rather in the creation of a third person, influenced by the two that they once were but entirely their own. It's so RAHHHHHHH.

I am so not normal about Clementine Maidstone.

because like- imagine being created solely to fill an agenda. Imagine discovering that you aren’t even original. Imagine your entire world falling apart because you aren’t yourself because someone else already is. Imagine your entire existence being an act of plagiarism. Imagine knowing that the only reason that you’re here in the first place is because you were the easier solution.

Imagine having to recreate yourself into a different person but knowing that *she’s* still at your core. You’re never going to escape her, even when she’s dead, because, in reality, you still are her but at the same time you’re not. Imagine knowing that her mother still sees you as a cheap copy. Imagine trying to separate yourself from her because you are NOT Riot, not anymore, but if you’re not Riot than who are you? You were made to be Riot after all.

I love Shelby and Clem so much because they're weird, they love each other so much, they're both freaks in their own ways, they're so strong, their bodies have gone through so much, their life is violent and ugly yet filled with love and determination
