Who are two xs character who never met and probably never would meet anyway, but you think would along if they could?
I think Megan and Jesse would have been fast friends. Megan would even wanna try on one of their leather jackets and ride on their motorcycles. I also think Dyris and Katnappe would've gotten along. (I think Dyris and Gigi have beef though. No reason for thinking this, I just think they'd have funny beef)
Megan and Jesse as besties? Oh, yes, they would hit it off in an instant. Jesse would even make her an honorary Black Viper Member only to piss off Jack lol. Tbh tho I think all of the Black Vipers would ADORE Megan. For one, she’s cute. The second reason could be that she has had sinister ideas for a 5-year-old lol. They would see potential in her. Besides, she’s fun to hang out with and they could’ve developed older sisters – younger sis relationship. If it weren’t for Megan’s parents the Black Vipers could kidnap her (illegal adoption my fav trope). As for Jesse-Megan's friendship, I bet their favorite activity includes gossiping about Clay and Jack. I even see a mental image of girls sharing the most embarrassing moments of their bro/cousin in front of them. Poor cowboy and evil boy genius kindly ask them to stop, but Megan and Jesse are not even close to the merciful young ladies.
And I agree with anon Dyris and Gigi could have some beef going on simply because of… the conflict of interest. In the episodes featuring these two, it was revealed that
1. Dyris’ plan for world conquer includes covering the whole planet with water
2. while Gigi’s vision of Earth is to expand his plant kingdom and turn all people into plants.
I presume they would argue a lot simply because if one of them succeded – it means the failure of the other one. If Dyris’ plan comes to fruition – Gigi COULD change humans into plants BUT as we know not all the plants like humidity. (and I think Gigi would kinda… die too? Because plants also need soil and Dyris will make sure there would be no land whatsoever?)
Likewise with the opposite situation. If the Heylin Seed’s plans ever came to fruition, it would be impossible for Dyris to retrieve the Lunar Locket and make her dreams of an ever-ending ocean possible.
So, yeah, I also see them as enemies even. Unless they made an alliance in which half of the planet could be Dyris’ Ocean Kingdom and the other – Gigi’s jungle with plant-people society. But it doesn’t seem like a good option for either of them bc they’re too greedy for any compromise, at least in my mind.
Dyris and Katnappe, tho – damn you’re right. They have similar personalities – always trying to get what they want. Once they realize they have a lot in common – they could team up. However, let’s not forget Dyris is a predator and I am more than certain she would double-cross Ashley (du-uh she would literally take advantage of anybody regardless of her likes or dislikes. It’s canon). And Ashley is smart enough not to get involved with ‘the water business’. What I’m trying to say, is their friendship would work out only as evil lady acquaintances. When push comes to shove – it’s either Dyris who tricks Ashley to do her bidding
- or Ashley, who dumps Dyris in the last moment (hopefully before the disaster that requires heroes’ help to undo this)
As we know, Ashley has a tendency to leave her evil partners if she no longer likes the job. I see her telling Dyris something along the lines: ‘too much water? it’s not my thing. I hoped for some treasure chests with gold but if you’re not going to provide I’m outta here’. Additionally, I’m not rejecting the idea of Dyris trying to eat Ashley even if she lived up to her end of the deal. There are no friendships on the heylin side.
On the other hand, there are two villains whose team-up would work out. Sibini and Hannibal Roy Bean. They’re both mind-control masters and they have some past with Chase. And I think if Sibini was ever freed from the wu, they wouldn’t mind helping Hannibal in his revenge against Chase. It would be very interesting if Sibini possessed Omi and made him fight Chase. (if someone reading this wants to write a fanfic based on that, give it a shot please!)
______________ ___________________
As always, I leave quite long commentaries, so maybe I’ll move on to the other brotps that in my opinion, would work out.
1. I place my bets on Megan and Le Mime. (yes I love Megan. She deserves to interact with EVERYONE) I can see Le Mime taking to Megan. He would treat her like a princess. He would be the only XS character to truly enjoy her tea parties and take joy from that. Please, consider Le Mime giving Megan invisible balloons and flowers bc that’s damn wholesome. Another bedrock of their friendship would be founded upon pranking Jack tbh. Let’s take as example that situation in which Le Mime gives Megan these ballons, as I suggested earlier.
Jack: Yo, where’s my cousin? Her parents want to leave in an hour.
Le Mime: (points at the ceiling with a smug grin)
Jack, internally screaming: Megan what the hell are you doing up there!?
Megan: I’m flying! You didn’t want to give me your Heli-pack so Mr. Mime helped me to fly!
Jack: (sigh) Ok, whatever. Just come down, will ya?
Megan: Nope! (flies further away in the deeper parts of Jack’s lab)
Jack: Le Mime, please I beg you. I won’t vaporate mimes, I swear! Just bring her to me! She’ll listen to you!
Le Mime: (mimics he wants some payment in form of 2 slices of cake)
Jack: FINE! JUST HURRY UP!
Le Mime: (uses an invisible bow and shoots 3 arrows so the balloons could burst. Then he catches Megan in his arms)
Megan: aaaw. It’s over already? :(
Jack: (takes his cousin away from Mime’s grasp) You. You are a bad influence.
Le Mime: (shrugs, content of the accusation) :) (waves Megan goodbye)
And that’s one of the reasons it’s never peaceful at Spicer Manor lol. All it takes is Megan’s simple request: hey you wanna re-paint my stupid cousin’s robots? And Le Mime’s already on board haha
2. My second suggestion for a nice friendship is the Guardian of the treasure of the Blind Swordsman and the Bird of Paradise. She could be his eyes, y’all. The old man is not a fan of her singing, tho. However, he agrees she’s a great companion. Thanks to her he doesn’t feel as lonely as he used to.
3. Tbh I’m totally in favor of Jack’s creations to find some friends outside Jack’s basement. And I thought – why can’t they be besties with monks’ U-bots from Mr. Tohomiko? Meh, I know it’s impossible coz Jack is an enemy and in consequence, his robots are technically enemies too but I love some unexpected friendships, ok?
4. It’s already people’s favorite but Leafy and Shimo Staff is like the cutest brotp the fandom came up with. It’s my personal favorite now too! They’re cuties. I almost want to draw them as humans someday.
5. Klofange and Chase's warriors. I can't explain why YET but there would be mutual respect between the two parties. They would share stories about their victories as huntsmen or something.
So, to wrap things up, I stan Megan as Le Mime’s little antics-helper and an additional Black Viper. I also want that old Guardian to have someone to talk to and I chose the Bird to be his friend. Dyris and Katnappe could find a common ground quite easily as long as they won’t partner up because that would mean the end of their friendship. Sibini and Bean have a lot in common. Parasite solidarity, am I right? Also let robots hang out despite the rivalry of their masters/owners, alright? And you already know I adore Leafy and Shimo – after all I put them in a boat together in that one silly drawing of mine.
These are my top unexpected XS friendships and my thoughts on how these relationships could work out (or not – if you count that commentary about Dyris and Gigi). Hope ya’ll had a nice read.

Trick or treat!
“No.” Chase narrowed his eyes at his latest brilliant invention. “Absolutely not. You are going to disassemble that heinous monstrosity right now! I’m not testing…”
“You’re not testing it at all.” Dashi turned away from his work bench. “I wouldn’t know if it was work…”
“It doesn’t need to work.” Chase crossed his arms to hide the smoke curling from his fingertips. “You have me.”
“And if the Heylin Seed gets loose when you’re off fighting Wuya or on a quest for the world’s best fried squid balls…”
“Quanzhou.”
“What?”
“Quanzhou. Aunty Ju. She has the third stand from the end of the docks and the world’s best fried squid balls. I don’t need a quest for that.” He rolled his eyes like this was the most obvious thing in the whole world. “Just like you don’t need this abomination.”
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “So if the Heylin Seed…”
“You put it in a box once, you can do it again.”
He flipped the lens on the jeweler’s loop back down and turned back to the large ruby. “Let’s say that I’m on my own and I need to light a fire.”
“That is a skill issue.”
“Say someone cleans the Saphire Dragon…” He picked up his tweezers and started to fold the fitting down around the edges of the gem. Chase would get over it eventually. He just had to be dramatic first.
“Then they deserve what’s going to happen.”
“If we’re fighting Hannibal and you’re not…”
Chase rolled his eyes, spun around, nearly tripped over scrap metal on his way out of the workshop, then crashed into Guan as he stormed through the door.
“What’s going on?” Guan put a hand gently, yet firmly on Chase’s shoulder, stopping him from leaving.
“He’s trying to replace me with some doohicky!” Chase spat. Smoke trailed his hands as he gestured to the worktable.
Dashi set the star back on the bench. “I’m making a charm that can generate fire.”
For a few moments, Guan stared at Chase with fond exasperation, then said, “It won’t be as good, but we can’t afford to not have you around.”
The smoke dissipated and Chase blinked up at his friend. The corners of his mouth twitched up and his shoulders sank in relief. Then he remembered that he was supposed to be mad, scowled and added, “It is still a useless doohicky.”

In your Chase ghost AU does Omi know he's evil or is Chase playing the long game?
Think he's been playing the long con in the sense Omi didn't know he was Heylin at first but Chase slowly let him. He's had years and has slowly been building up a distrust in Omi of the xiaolin side that he is reaching his potential.
Chase moved slowly sewing seeds of distrust and the fact he genuinely cares for Omi adds to that he's not just tricking Omi he wants Omi on his side but will move slowly Omi's a young child he has plenty of time.
Omi grew up around him more than others at the temple and learnt from him, so Omi trusts him completely. When he finds out about puzzle box being Dashi's he's confused because Chase may not have a been a xiaolin warrior anymore but he's not evil evil... he's chase he raised Omi he's his teacher, his dad.
When the other dragons come and they're focused on more and then Raimundo betraying them and there being that fine line between Heylin and Xiaolin is the final push Chase needs to get Omi to agree fully. Omi is very conflicted in this AU because he doesn't want to be evil but the lines are very blurred because he doesn't and can't view Chase as the Heylin prince of evil he sees the man who raised him and cared for him. He's his dad.

What do you think of jermomi ?
A solid ship, there's definitely some basis for it.
(I have another ask in by inbox requesting my in-depth thoughts on Jermaine, so I'm going to truncate some points of analysis here.)
I definitely think they have crushes on each other.
They occasionally blush at fidget at each other, and you can really how much they want to impress each other. They care a lot what the other thinks of them.
They hit it off really well, and both represent something new and unknown for the other. Jermaine's the first friend Omi's made with no connection to any of the Xiaolin-Heylin stuff, and vice versa, and they're both amazed by the peek into the other's world that the other offers.
And Omi's also probably the first kid who actually came back and helped Jermaine after Jermaine stuck his neck out to save him from getting jumped. Jermaine's fully prepared to just accept a beating in the place of this kid, but he lights up with surprised joy when Omi saves him right back.
Their first to each other was literally rescuing each other, with both being absolutely floored with awe at the other's skill and heroism. That's a meet cute you'd find in lots of action romances.
Omi getting all three of the bullies to run away with their tails between their legs is probably the first time Jermaine ever seen anyone take down all three of them. And it's the first time anyone's ever stood up and fought them to protect Jermaine.
Omi was the first person to inspire and save Jermaine like he did, even before Omi went on to introduce Jermaine to all this magical stuff. Jermaine so readily came to join Omi's side when Jack challenged him, because Omi and Jermaine have already fallen into this fun, easy chemistry and being there for each other.
It's no wonder they mean to much to each other after their first meeting.
And they keep in contact after that, probably through letters and packages and basketball trickshots.
They're a fun team, they play off each other well and pull each other out of their comfort zones, they're very cute. They also push each other to grow, even with the rocky bumps that come at first. Through all the highs and lows, I could see it.
And speaking of lows, even when they had their fight, where Omi was absolutely in the wrong, Omi was surprisingly quick to drop it when he became concern about whatever Chase's intention with Jermaine were.
Omi's jealousy was fueled by his deep fears about losing the only place in the world he's ever been condition to think he'll have, his role as a Xiaolin dragon, and that's so deep-seeded that Omi holds onto it. Until he learns that Chase is involved.
Omi apologizes and threw the match completely when he has to measure that fear against letting Jermaine fall victim to whatever Chase was scheming. Omi's willing to lose and let Jermaine decide how things end.
Omi knows Chase very well and navigates their relationship warily. It's apparent that Chase is keeping far more from Jermaine if Jermaine hasn't even been made aware that Chase is evil in the first place.
Even at their lowest, Jermaine says that the thing Jermaine wanted most from all his training was for Omi to be happy for him. The thing that hurt Jermaine the most was that, through all the grueling training he was going through, he was looking forward to seeing Omi be happy at Jermaine finally taking up that offer he was too anxious to take before, when Omi offered to bring Jermaine back to the temple.
Jermaine loves Omi's confidence and finds his signature boasting pretty cute. He really enjoys Omi's base personality and finds his quirks endearing. It's only a problem when Omi specifically butts heads with him out of envy, and Jermaine makes it very clear in moments like that.
But outside of that, he wants Omi to be himself. Jermaine even lightly teases Omi when Omi invites Jermaine to return to the temple, and he grins when that teasing eggs Omi into adding a bit of the playful self-aggrandizement that Jermaine loves about him.
tldr; Jermaine and Omi know each other pretty well like each other for the personalities, not "despite them," we've gotten to see how they are both when they're fighting side-by-side or when they're fighting each other and there's solid chemistry either way, they both have to get better with communication but are very willing to grow there together, they inspire each other to look past what holds them back (Jermaine's hesitance about the big world, Omi's pathological fear of losing the only place he thinks he can have in the world as a tool for good), and the crushes are definitely there.

Round 1, Group 1
Propaganda under cut
Gigi: Gigi is an evil flower with a french accent. Gigi became unleashed 1,500 years ago and destroyed everything in his path. He was then stopped in an unknown way and locked away for good. That is until Jack Spicer retrieved the Heylin Seed and unleashed him yet again.
Silent Princess: So the silent princess is a very pretty flower that can glow in the dark. It's explained that it doesn't take to domestication well only thriving in the wild. And coming back from the brink of extinction after the near end of the world. It is also used as symbolism for princess zelda! I think it's supposed to symbolise zelda only being able to thrive on her own terms instead of being forced into things.

My Accidental Parents AU family tree!
I redesigned Shadow from my previous XS post. Was itching to draw her brothers, Boris and Orchid so here they are!
If you guys can guess, they are redesigned characters from Chronicles! I hated the show ngl but in my AU, I get to redo their appearances and personalities yay!
Shadow: Born from a pearl inside an oyster made from a broken ribcage of Chase and Omi's healing magic. Feral lizard instincts, creepy manners that aren't too bad and a passionate female warrior. Has a soft spot for women (Had a crush on Kimiko before growing out of it and found someone else.). Aspires to be a skilled Heylin warrior like her dad, Chase. She's tsundere with a soft side for Papa Omi even if she tries to deny it when she's older.
Boris: Born from a peach shared by Chase and Omi when they took a bite of the fruit. The fruit came from Barkley Le Bois, an ancient French Xiaolin warrior turned into an enchanted peach tree by Gigi before the Heylin Seed was sealed. A good boi, clumsy, reluctant martial artist, doesn't want to fight, prefers to study botany and cooking. Still has the element of wood, only difference he ACTUALLY USES IT unlike canon XC. Taught by his grandpa Barkley whom he's very close with. Papa Omi's baby boy.
Orchid: Hatched from an egg laid by Chase in his beast form when he unknowingly ingested a certain potion dropped into his Lao Meng Long soup by Shadow and Boris when they were kind of tricked by Jack Spicer to search something in their dad's lair. Named after the serum responsible for his conception. Orchid is Chase in appearance and Jack in personality minus the cowardice. Has certain parts of XC Chase's personality with none of the creepy incest. Flamboyant and has a knack of inventing like his revered mentor, Jack much to his father, Chase's displeasure.
Notes:
1.) Chase and Omi had their firstborn, Shadow when Omi got into his 20's.
2.) All three kids were born accidentally through either both Xiaolin and/or Heylin magic, not MPreg.
Xiaolin Showdown, Chronicles and the characters belong to Christy Hui and Warner Kids.
Boris/Ping Pong and Orchid's designs along with this AU are mine.

Tatiana sitting down on the carved stone ledge, that connect the other three ledges to hold a body of water. A property of a village of monsters that is under The Heylin’s protection after it was liberated from The Cleansers, thanks to the Circle. It is obvious that this would be the fate for them because they put all of their hope on the supernatural community’s government, who have no interests in their own people, their cry for help have no heed. Not even the Guardians, that the supernatural community established, could save them from The Cleansers’ clutches. At least The Circle hears their prayer.
She is tossing some bird seeds and potato peelings to the swans. Tatiana could tell that there are oppressive eyes staring at her. It is acceptable why, the villagers hate her because she was a Cleanser.

Always wanted to know what Hannibal’s ultimate plan was that Chase considered to be worse than the destruction of the world.
I’d like to think it’s connected to The 4 Perils or at least entities based on them. Maybe he’ll unleash them all or maybe he’s one of them I mean the Hundun kinda looks like a bean with 6 legs, is known to be formless and sow chaos and corruption.
I could totally see a final mini-arc of both Xiaolin warriors and Heylin having to defeat and seal away the Hundun, Qiongqi, Taotie and Taowu plus their designs could be so fun.
Hannibal keeping his plans so ambiguous is something fascinating about his character but, also, so frustrating!!
I’m actually with @writerkatsblog on what Hannibal’s ultimate plan is: which is to destroy all life on earth that isn’t him. Complete take over of all of the earth with his sprouts and seeds and where nothing is left alive in their wake.
As for the four perils though - because i absolutely love the idea of them showing up in the show - i feel like if anyone in the show is going to awaken them it’s going to be Wuya. We’ve seen that she has the ability to awaken statues and rock-creatures and, even just by existing in the world, is able to awaken the spirits within the Wu! She would be the *perfect* villain to unleash those creatures onto the world~
Or. For an absolutely insane twist: Ashley and her genetic engineering creating the four perils and releasing them onto the world… (I don’t think Ashley has that motivation though. But it would be fun!)

it may be a hairstyle in the past that was popular in his youth, I think
Honestly, I did not pay attention to Some of the characters
I was interested in Jack
however When I met my friend OC
The name of this character is Pan-Li the nephew of the gangster boss Pandabubba and the next boss.
I really liked Ye character.
Have you seen him before?
I Re-watch the show and searched for information in Xiaolin Showdown - Fandom
When I want to write a story or make au
Also I searched for the Xiaolin Showdown videoGame
I can't write the story or make au if I don't know the law Background information of the Xiaolin
But let's be honest There are some gaps in the story And there are things they did not explain to us
Like the rules of the Showdown or How the Shen Gong Wu was made
things went very bad When Xiaolin Showdown became Xiaolin Chronicles
They got rid of some characters
The problem in Xiaolin Chronicles is Some of the characters do not present a Backstory or a short Backstory
I mean, they ruined the story
You know Jack Spicer from the Xiaolin Showdown Correct But what about Jack Spicer from the Xiaolin Chronicles version When I compare Jack Showdown and Jack Chronicles I feel Jack Chronicles looks young He acts too childish Even for him and I feel Jack is even more stupid and naive while Jack Showdown is smarter and's still acting childish, but not does not give up Even when his bag is stolen by Tubbimura He used an electric fan and turned it into a flying backpack I mean we all agree We liked the new characters like Ping Pong and Shadow and Rocco and Thunderhoof and Chef-Robot and Princess Kaila and Salvador Cumo and Kimiko's older sister Tigress Woo and Clay's young brother Patrick and Barkey LeBois But at the same time, They ruined the show They have erased Hannibal Roy Bean and Raksha the snowman and Gigi and Dyris the mermaid and Klofange and Jermaine and Clay's sister Jessie and The Black Vipers and Mala Mala Jong and Megan is Jack's little cousin and Bird of Paradise and Blind Swordsman and Chucky Choo And I'm like what the hell Even they are Redesigning the appearance of characters And rewriting the series Tell me what you think of Xiaolin Chronicles version And what do you think of Jack's style of clothing And his actions
Especially Chase Young They made him cry in Episode: 19 This really spoiled the appearance of an evil character
Hannibal Roy Bean does not exist in Chronicles. So someone please explain how Chase Young Becomes a Heylin Warrior
I mean Hannibal Bean was the main reason Chase Young became a Heylin
the episode 1: The story doesn't make sense
And what about Dashi and Wuya part of story she was locked in a spring by Dashi Then Dashi put it in puzzlebox
but when Jack open the puzzlebox. he knew Wuya before
I mean how this, Dojo said he was 1 500 years the guardian of the shengang woo scroll When Dashi locked up Wuya So how They met And what about when Wuya said she was with Salvador Cumo and her body is back
And when Ping Pong Asked about Jack Omi Answer him no one knows But I have the feeling of a tiger He cooks up a evil soup
And let's not forget they redesigned the characters like Le Mime
I prefer Le Mime Showdown to Le Mime Chronicles
I feel They are just telling a mixed story Then they make of it Xiaolin Chronicles series
I mean do they know the law in their story of Xiaolin
example Barkey LeBois the Dragon of Wood
Why, for example, did they not make a story the Dragon of Wood Create a seed but Later became a Heylin Seed
or
the Heylin Seed was the Dragon of Wood
This is a reasonable idea in my opinion
I don't know if you know But I read that Wuya is the Dragon of Heylin on (Xiaolin Showdown) series I told him myself this makes sense
the Xiaolin is like Yang while the Heylin is like Ying
And the reaction of Dojo When the wu activates He appears to have pimples on his skin
I think it is a disgusting little bit
why ping pong is so similar to Omi: The answer ping pong is the Opposite personality of Omi Omi is cocky and gets jealous easily He thinks about how he was always chosen when he was born and says his destiny is to become the greatest warrior Omi wants to do his own way of fighting and training But when things don't go his way Omi annoying or get angry or upset Xiaolin Showdown Season: 2 Episode: 10 Jack finds himself in a Buddhist-style temple where Omi appears to be training with his head full set of long black hair And Omi says to himself, Omi mighty Everyone wants to be like me Everything revolves around Omi And what about Season: 2 Episode: 23 While Omi is annoying everyone with his fancy skills, Jermaine returns and announces that he is a Wudai Warrior, much to Omi's jealousy Despite this, Omi has no right to be jealous of him In the beginning, Omi thought Jermaine was at the Same level or low level But when he found out that Jermaine is Wudai Warrior Omi said as his skin turned green You have moved to a higher level than me He said he was happy for him, but gritted his teeth angrily And when the guys were training with Jermaine method Omi is annoying by it And when They went to hunting the wu When Omi saw Jermaine About to get wu Try to get it before him so that Prove it's better thin Jermaine But this is what caused them to loss the wu The problem is that Omi does not learn fully from his mistakes So he repeats his same mistakes Omi is a bad teacher He always starts with difficult exercises And he did not care what his student thought Difficult Omi says if I can actually do this then you can do this And what about once at Showdown Season: 2 Episode: 5 Omi was interrupting Raimundo And it was Omi fault too Because of him was the reason Raimundo failed in training what I hate about it Master Fung said good try They said tomorrow we will continue. You and I have seen it all Raimundo would have been on the verge of success if he hadn't Omi to surprised him And Omi annoying Raimundo After his failure while ping pong Pure, good personality He respects everyone He has good morals and good qualities It encourages others to live a distinguished life. and A person with a kind heart inspires others to stay positive in negative situations. Chronicles Season: 1 Episode: 8 When they entered ping pong head He never thought about himself And he respects everyone The person I respect mosi is Omi that What ping pong said in his mind And don't forget the Monks Throw Their tasks at ping pong does all chores only him ping pong doesn't want to disappoint anyone He always puts the concerns of others first instead of himself
As for the strange relationship between Chase and shadow I think that their relationships are more like the Creator and the created Or perhaps a father's relationship with his daughter Chase Young Just created her from one of his ribs and took her in as his apprentice I mean, it kind of makes sense in a weird way Chase thinks about who is better to Become his apprentice Who is better than a part of himself So he makes her and names her shadow Because shadow was part of His bones She got some of his personality But I was wondering If there is a possibility that shadow Becomes a good side
there is Something bothering me about Chronicles Season: 1 Episode: 8 Isn't it supposed to Only an Elemental Master can use his element but the Monks on each and every train ping-pong Use every one of the elements I mean is there a Xiaolin magic that uses temporary magic I mean ping pong the Dragon of the Wood Isn't it supposed to use only wood?
I think you and I agree that Master Fung is not doing his duty as a Master I mean, he was teaching them, but He just advised them And the rest is up to them I mean, did you see Master Fung Fighting in one of Showdown And they made things worse at Xiaolin Chronicles Master Fung When their temple was destroyed He said the words and left them alone, leaving students with dojo Until they find a new home And my thoughts say So no I don't think Master Fung is not suited to become Jack's mentor I mean, is Master Fung really considered a warrior? I know I know It's just a cartoon We laugh at them But Why didn't they improve the story or at least Make Master Fung punish the Monks? When they reach their limits, their behavior with Jack He tells them that they are like bullying kindergarten children With Jack but noooooo He didn't do anything And sometimes his justly is unfair

I just want to see everyone's reaction to this crazy idea.
Dear your idea is really crazy. I never thought about the possibility of them, but just looking at their personality and identity, it feels quite cute.I think I will ship them mentally.
Just looking at their personality types, I feel that I used to be like the type of ship.
You're right. Their combination is loveliness and crazy.

Hello! I like your blog a lot and I am being anon because I am a coward and I don't want to sound rude or judgmental in any way. I wanted to ask why do you like Omi so much? Like, yes, he's the protagonist, but I myself don't like him that much. I would like to understand your point of view!
There are so many elements I love about his character, I really can't fit it all in one post, a lot of it is spread out through my musings throughout the blog.
But I'll just list off 10 random reasons why Omi is my favorite character. Essay under the cut.
1. His relationship with Chase
Everything about Chase and Omi is so fascinating. It's singlehandedly what pulled me back to this series.
Most aspects of this series are things I've since seen done better in other series that followed in years to come. Some much better.
But Chase and Omi's relationship is something that still feels unique. I haven't seen anything else quite like it in anything else I've read or watched.
They spend time together, they fight together, bring out new things in each other, make old things resurface in each other, like each other even when they know it's dangerous to. They see each other as a mirror, they want to be together, they'll tear apart space and time for each other. They grow close in secret, that have things they can only share with each other. They trust each other despite both of them having deep-seeded trust issues. They respect and acknowledge each other. They show each other affection, they have fun fighting each other. They're worthy allies and best friends.
The fact that they navigate all these complicate mind games against each other is a testament to how well they know each other.
It's Omi who comes to save Chase when no one on the Heylin side ever would. It's Chase who's able to make Omi learn things he needed to learn but just wasn't understanding. It's Chase who comes for Omi to get him to return to the temple in Omi town. It's Omi who tears apart time and space to try to be with Chase.
80 years in the future, Chase still brightens up instantly when he sees Omi. 1500 years in the past, Chase feels deep in his soul that Omi is already someone he knows and loves.
All the secrets between the two of them, all the private conversations, all the underlying things they know they can't say, all the things they'll say to each other that they wouldn't dare speak to anyone else.
They provide each other with something they can't get anywhere else. There are so many reasons why they're fixated on each other.
It's something I can and have gone on about for ages, so I'll cut it there before it takes up my entire list.
2. His defiant, subversive self-love
I've come to really admire self-aggrandizing humor. I admire characters who can love themselves, even with everything else they have going on.
Self-hatred isn't a virtue, and I'm tired of relating to its self-perpetuating, myopic poison.
I want to love myself so strong that it can be my foundation, too. It's a good thing to know your own worth and never let others shake that, while still being a loving, caring, curious person who wants to connect with others, and that's what Omi is.
I love it even more in Omi because you can clearly intuit where it comes from.
No one at the temple really praised him growing up, they didn't really acknowledge him on a personal level, and despite what were probably their best efforts, they were distant and cold.
Omi didn't feel outwardly loved from the outside-- in fact, he grew accustomed to the idea that unconditional love isn't something he'll ever get, that all he can ever hope for is to earn acknowledgement, because he's not a person the same way the others are.
And in response to that, instead of growing bitter or jaded, he decided he'd love himself unconditionally. He'd acknowledge himself and praise his own efforts and choose himself where he grew up expecting that no one would.
3. His very nuanced, personal belief in redemption and willingness to reach out to others
Omi has an unshakeable belief that Chase still has good in him, despite everything. But Omi's also very aware of where Chase stands, and he takes that into consideration in their interactions.
Omi is not only willing to believe in Jack and invite him to their side several times with open arms and praise for his skills, he's also willing to give Jack second chances and a type of trust that he doesn't really exercise with anyone else. Omi goes against the other monks always telling him not to, he'll give up his bedroom and share his clothes, he happily compliments Jack for stopping Katnappe.
Omi knows that Katnappe stands more firmly where she is, but he still argues that they should take her in and help her heal up her injury that she got from trying to rob their temple.
Omi is the only one who was against the idea of letting Wuya and Jack die in cold blood.
Omi is the first to argue that Master Fung should Raimundo another chance, but Omi is also firm in drawing boundaries because of how traumatized he was that Raimundo deliberately manipulated the trust they used to have in him in order to hurt them all.
Omi repeatedly argues that Clay and Jessie should try to reconnect, and that Jessie could come to the side of goodness. He deeply believes in her and in the bond she and her brother have.
Omi doesn't extend the expectation of redemption to everyone, and he's very measured where he does, even if he's willing to show them all sympathy. He's very deliberate in who he reaches out to and thinks has it in them to change, and that's a fascinating take on this type of character.
It's not quite a simple naivety. Omi can read certain situations better than he's given credit for. It's something more nuanced and complicated and case-by-case, and I love that.
4. His adoration for his friends, to the point where he's willing to go so far to protect them
Omi is so scared of squirrels that he'll freeze up at the sight of them. The only time he's ever overcome that was when he had to jump into the fray and fight one to save Kimiko.
That's the moment that stands out most to me as an example of how much Omi loves his friends. There are so many times he shows it, but this is my favorite.
When Omi loves, he loves with his whole chest.
And Omi's loyalty is directly tied to his love. Omi's willingness to sacrifice himself and push himself is tied to his love.
In Judging Omi, they've just had an argument that makes Omi feel that they don't respect his culture and beliefs and the honor that he stakes his everything on, but when he comes back and sees them in danger, he neither does the petty thing of turning against them, nor the reckless thing of thinking he can just run in alone guns blazing and handle it himself.
He takes a risky deal, because the thing he's risking is himself. And he'd happily risk himself to save his friends and his Master Fung. He always does, and he always will.
5. The mentors he adopts throughout the series
Omi learns from Dashi, Chase, Klofange, ect. The lessons themselves are very cool, and Omi is able to being out a mentoring side of characters who otherwise don't show it.
It's adorable, and it leads to some deeply heart-warming and heart-wrenching moments.
Dashi playing the first Xiaolin Showdown with Omi, until Omi finally learned to go at it from a different angle.
Klofange smiling for the first time since we've seen them, and bending over to pet Omi and thank him.
Everything about the side of Chase that Omi brings out.
6. His complex exploration of the concept of trust as a personal boundary
Omi initially trusted Raimundo more than anyone else did. Omi trusted Raimundo unconditionally in a way no one else at the temple did.
He watched Raimundo clearly turn against them, and he still believed that it must be a misunderstanding, because trust and love were so intrinsically tied in Omi's mind, and he couldn't imagine someone he thought cared about them being genuinely willing to hurt them all like that on purpose.
And then he did. And Raimundo took it very far before he eventually changed his mind.
Omi still argued that Raimundo still had a right to be there and keep being a Xiaolin dragon. Omi stood up against Master Fung to tell him to let Raimundo come back to the temple and have another chance.
But Omi also maintains his right to redraw his boundaries, because he was deeply traumatized by that whole affair.
Omi gets screamed at for even thinking in the back of his mind that he's scared to trust Raimundo as much as he did before, but Omi doubles down and stands his ground.
He's the embodiment of "Apology accepted, trust denied." The embodiment of "Forgiveness doesn't require that same reconnection." The embodiment of "a stab in the back isn't rectified until it's been pulled out completely and healed by the one who put it there, and sometimes, the person who stabbed you refuses to even acknowledge the knife is there."
And I truly respect Omi for having enough self-respect for that. It's so easy to just buckle when people try to force past the boundaries you try to set. But you have to forfeit your self-respect to let someone walk over you like that, and Omi would never.
It's especially admirable since Xiaolin Showdown's narrative clearly takes the odd stance that "if you firmly reset the boundaries of trust you're willing to have with someone who deliberately chose to hurt you and your loved ones, that makes you a bad person".
Omi is so strong-willed that he won't just go against time and space, he'll go against the narrative itself.
7. He's adorable and he's a water type
That's my exact strike zone.
He's tiny with a youthful exuberance. He's sheltered and naive with bright eyes. He's stubbornly innocent with precocious hope. He's clumsy with words and has a built-in water gun. He's adorable, and he knows he is.
I love cute things, the little kid characters tend to garner my sympathy, and I always chose the water starters in pokemon.
8. He's suicidally self-sacrificial, not out of any self-deprecation (again, he loves himself), but out of seeing himself as a tool
Omi jumps to sacrifice himself surprisingly easily.
And glory has nothing to do with it.
When he thought he might grow up into someone who would become evil and hurt his friends, Omi walked off to freeze to death alone.
When the temple was taken over by Jack's evil army, Omi didn't run into a situation he clearly couldn't handle alone. He went to Chase Young for help, fully prepared to sacrifice whatever Chase was going to ask for in exchange for his help.
When Dojo was about to eat Master Fung, Omi jumped in the way as bait and begged Master Fung to run away.
The whole reason Omi jumped into the Yin-Yang world despite the danger was because nothing it could do to him was bad enough for him not to risk it for Master Fung's sake.
But he's very against his friends sacrificing themselves for him, and he tries to leave them out of it when he offers up himself as a sacrifice. He values himself, but he's willing to die, because he thinks his purpose is, ultimately, to be a useful weapon for others.
He argued against the soccer game for his freedom, because he didn't think it was worth it to wager their lives for his. Omi's willing to gamble his own life like a poker chip, but never theirs.
It's this fascinating contradiction. Omi highly values himself, but he doesn't seem to value his own life.
It's this self-dehumanization that doesn't come from self-hatred, but instead from this very peculiar way of thinking.
9. His lonely upbringing and the way it shapes his wants and desires
Master Fung doesn't really reach out to him. The most he did was back in episode one, calling Omi in from the rain.
Omi has watched his mentor and the person he loves more than life itself grow more and more distant towards him, while Master Fung is fine showing affection to the other dragons-in-training.
Literally all he wants is Master Fung's love, and since Omi doesn't think he can ever get it unconditionally, he tries so hard to prove himself and earn Master Fung's respect and acknowledge instead.
It's heartbreaking but also fascinating, and it informs Omi's character arc, especially the way he clearly feels less and less at home there at the temple.
He already never felt like it was an unconditional home he could stay in.
Omi loves Master Fung more than anything. Omi would die for him, and more impressively, Omi would kill for him. There's this one-sided adoration and affection and devotion that's so painfully, delightfully tragic.
10. His watching his former hero Guan fall from a pedestal
Guan was one of Omi's biggest heroes. The journey that watching the pedestal break was very interesting.
I loved that Omi personally browbeat Guan into being embarrassed enough to come help them get back Dojo and fight Chase after Guan was going to be perfectly content to just leave now that he had what he wanted.
And it was heartbreaking how Guan later came back with a plan to gaslight and set Omi up to be beaten black and blue, but seeing Guan fall so far from grace in Omi's eyes with those questionable things he kept doing to them is a nice contrast to how Omi gradually comes to love and admire Chase more and more all the while.

Honestly if you combine my headcanon of Jack being a descendant of Wuya and the headcanon that Wuya had a hand in the creation of beings like The Heylin Seed and Hannibal Roy Bean, plus her rock golems, it becomes a neat parallel.
What Wuya did with plants and rocks, Jack now does with robots.
