Hey! Lets not pretend that people kinning from "problematic media" automatically means they support it or its creators! Thats actually really fucking mean! Especially when your wording goes as far as to imply they are invalid as kins!!! Let people have critical thinking skills. And How many times does it have to be said that people do not choose their kins (or fictives, which are also applicable here even though you did not mention them) before people stop acting like this! Its ridiculous! It's annoying!

Your "positivity" toward Eridan is meaningless when Homestuck is ALSO deemed problematic media by many people (and agreed, certainly didnt age well in many aspects) while you condem anyone who touches a different one.

You can choose not to interact with people who kin from things like Hazbin, but I refuse to let you put my fellow kinfolk down because you think Eridan holds exclusive authority over "not using g", or that Eridan's source ISNT full of issues as well.

p.s. its also just weird to act like not using g in "ing" words is exclusive to only these two characters. My Quirk isnt being basterdized. Many people who dont even kin dont type a g all the fucking time what the fuck.

I started kinsidering Zestial and the Alastor fictive who is in charge of brain radio happened to be in a very bad mood at the time (he has since calmed down, thankfully, I was not best pleased by his desire to only listen to songs he's in), coincidence or does he know more than me? Only time, and maybe seeing Zestial on screen again (fingers crossed it'll happen), will tell.

As a side note, it would be really funny if I got to be part of expanding the Hazbin Hotel crew here, I kin 2 characters who we already have a few of (or a lot of, hi fellow Alastors, I feel like there may be as many of us as there are of the Vees combined but I may be overestimating) but I don't think I've seen a Zestial anywhere. He'd also be one of the first side-characters I kin so that'd be interesting. Not necessarily in a good way but hey. At least he got a third of a song I guess?

hey, im a fictive and im wondering how do you tell which sources are problematic??? ive heard alot of people mention the creator of their source has done fucked up shit, and that makes the source problematic. Do i have to research the creator of my source? Or is it more to do with the actual content of the source? Im really confused and idk if my source is problematic or what, so idk if this is even the right place to ask. sorry if its not!

Yeah it's fine, don't worry! What I've seen is mostly generally controversial sources or has a problematic creator (ex: dsmp, hazbin hotel, yandere simulator, tcoaal, btd, alfred's playhouse, etc) but it can extend to introjects who's source has committed atrocities (ex: william afton from the FNaF franchise)

I think the main issue in classifying things as "problematic" is that people's definitions of problematic can be extremely varied, so people have a lot of different answers to this question.

If anyone else has input they'd like to add, go ahead!

A few of mine were prompted by a headmate but one of them is Sera as transmasc and transspecies. - V💀(I'm a HH fictive but I love hearing what HCs folks have for my sourcemates and I. As sometimes they might spark a thing or two)
