ok so i think i do support ana's "grima runs on human souls" thing, because that's what obviously happens in the awakening endgame, right?
to resurrect grima, validar makes all the grimleal sacrifice their souls, and from how grima talks that obviously translates into a buttload of power.
but
how much juice is in one soul?
like, grima cant run on those same souls forever, right? is this some sort of grim reaper situatiom where grima can just yoink every recently departed soul into the combustion engine? does it need to be sacrificed to grima specifically?
the answer to how a thing as big as grima lives is "magic", but. consider with me for a moment.
so, baby grima. baby grima did not have a lot of food, on account of being underground. they were a lot more reasonable in size, but something that size still cant sustain itself on zombie meat. shit is rotten. grima was also said to grow incredibly quickly, which was facilitated by feeding them their creator's blood
blood from ONE PERSON is able to facilitate grima's development to larger than human size.
i of course posit that this is because blood is a medium to let grima access someone's vague Magic And/Or Life Energy, with eating souls just being the more.... direct approach. This slots neatly into how the Valentian magic system functions. It directly converts Life (HP) into spells
Grima is an HP thief.
However, spell costs in Echoes are substantial. Something like Warp can land someone at just 1 HP.
Thus Grima sustaining and growing themself on the blood of just one man means Grima is incredibly energy efficient. Male Sages have a base HP stat of 32 in Echoes, and I feel Sage is a good guess at what sort of guy we're working with with Forneus.
So Grima lived on 32 HP from the fall of Thabes all the way to Alm's incursion into the labyrinth, which seems like, a solid couple hundred years. Rather impressive.

any hc about Seborga?
UUUUUH, you caught me a bit off guard here anon. because I REALLY do not know what seborga should represent? hima what the hell you did.
Tumblr media
ok, my absolutely in-depth 100% accurate research brought its fruits. apparently, it is a non recognised micronation that is situated in the region of Liguria, so north italy. and I really don't understand why...hima added it? does it have any history??
don't get me wrong seborga fans, but I literally never heard of this until I got into hetalia. and for everyone new here, I'm italian, so that should give some perspective in its relevance today.
moreover, i often times see seborga portrayed as central italy instead...but I'm not really sure in how it would play out. because for centuries central italy corresponded to the Papal States (modern day Vatican), so im really at a loss in what to do with him?? cool design, I like his resemblance to the siblings, but I purposefully chose to just cancel his existence from my mind.
SO SORRY ANON for not responding to your original ask, but if you have any headcanons you have for seborga feel free to DM me or send another ask! I'm always open to new ideas for these silly characters ♡♡

Date with your Devilish Butcher
So you and Ronin are dating officially now, but hey you never went out on a real date (unless you count your first meeting or all the truth and dares games dates).
The idea of a date never came to your mind until Luca and Feli were acting all lovey-dovey in VC.
After that you were thinking about a real date all the time, you wouldn't ask Ronin out of course, you didn't know what a serial killer would even want to do on said date.
Well to your surprise Ronin decided to ask you out himself and you agreed without hesitation. How will your date go? Well let's see it together.
_____________________________________________
List of trigger warnings
- Blood and Gore
- Swears
- Violence
- Murder (duh)
You've been warmed, enjoy! <3
_____________________________________________
🫀
You were in the middle of getting ready for your date with Ronin. He asked you out a week ago while you were telling him about the story you wanted to write, you were frustrated because you couldn't find any new murder ideas and you wanted to write a "dark romance" story with a murder motive, then he said the sentence that left you stunned :
Ronin: Darlin' let's go out next Wednesday.
Those were his exact words, he didn't exactly wait for your answer, he just laughed at your surprised expression and left for "work", of course the next morning all news sites were flooded with a new murder from "The Butcher".
Now you were standing in front of your mirror adding the final touches to the outfit you prepared. For some reason your favourite devil decided that you have to wear a white shirt, everything else is up to you, but not the shirt. You still had half an hour left until Ronin would arrive at your doorstep to collect you to that mysterious date he had prepared. You sat down on your bed to mentally prepare for whatever he had planned, after all, you can't exactly expect anything from the devil.
Suddenly your phone rang, the noise almost made you jump, you quickly reached for it and picked up the call that turned out to be from Ronin.
User: Ronin? Why are you calling me?
Ronin: Get your pretty self down here, I'm already waitin' for you.
You were quick on your feet, you moved to your window and looked out of it. There he was, he gave off this arrogant energy even from so far away, you shut the curtains and looked back to your phone. He was still on the line.
User: Ronin you were supposed to be here in half an hour!
Ronin: Awh stop whining like you aren't all dolled up and ready to go now, darlin'. Don't keep the devil waiting, or he may come for you himself.
There was silence from your side, followed by his snicker and three beeping sounds informing you that the call has ended. You sighed and massaged your temples. Oh how annoying Ronin was. You grabbed your favourite bag, made sure that you've put everything you needed and quickly made your way out of your house.
Ronin: Took you long enough, my divine darlin'.
You were greeted by Ronin's wide grin. He closed the distance between the two of you and placed a kiss on the top of your head. He took your hand in his and looked you up and down. He took his sweet time while he was obviously checking you out.
Ronin: My, my, what a sight you are.
A small hint of a blush found its way to your cheeks.
User: Oh shut it.
You squeezed his hand to show off your annoyance with his behaviour.
User: Where are we going?
Ronin:'s a surprise. You'll see once we arrive.
He smirked when he saw your disappointed face and pinched your cheek with his free hand.
Ronin: Awh, cut the dramatics, you'll like it.
🫀
It took the two of you a ten minute ride to reach Ronin's chosen destination. He covered your eyes with a blindfold for a "better reaction" you didn't argue with him. It was somewhat sweet when you gave it more thought. Yes, he is a serial killer and could blindfold you so you wouldn't know how to escape the possible death he could arrange for you. But Ronin also proved himself to be quite the romantic. He made sure to visit you when you had a shitty day. He gave you advice for your killer protagonists (sometimes even tried out your ideas to see if they would actually work).
Ronin: We're here, writer darlin'.
Ronin's voice from your side and the sound of the passenger door opening tore you out of your thoughts. You could feel his hands moving to unbuckle your seat belt and then grasping your hands to help you get out of his car.
User: Can I take this thing off now?
You asked and reached your hand to the blindfold to lift it up, but his hand stopped you from doing so.
Ronin: Don't you trust me baby? I'm an amazing guide, those dead people somehow had to find their way to my favourite gruesome alley.
He chuckled at his own words and you just furrowed your brows.
User: You are so... Infuriating sometimes.
Ronin: But you love the way I push your buttons, don't you Darlin'?
He was, unfortunately, not wrong. You loved him and all that came with him. His twisted games and grotesque nature. His past and present. God, you loved him even when he made you want to punch him in that pretty face of his. You had to admit that you started to like the idea of being the Devil's Fallen angel.
Ronin was keeping his hands on your shoulders, he was walking behind you and guiding you. At first you were walking on hard concrete, but then you could feel grass under your feet. You walked through the fields of grass for some time, then Ronin stopped you. He moved his hands to your blindfold and gently untied it.
Ronin: We're here. How do you like this darling?
Ronin whispered into your ear. Your eyes had to take their sweet time to adjust to the sunlight. But after you regained your vision your eyes met the most breathtaking sight ever. You were in the middle of an apple orchid, surrounded by nothing but apple trees, never ending fields of grass, and sometimes even a couple or small groups of friends could be seen here and there.
You turned around to look at Ronin, a wide smile spread over your lips as you wrapped your around him.
User: Ronin this is... Wow... No one ever took me to such a beautiful place before.
You said with a blush as you realized how cheesy your words must've sounded. You wanted to take a step back but Ronin wrapped his own arms around you.
Ronin: You're so fuckin' adorable when you're actin' all happy and excited.
He chuckled, but this was a genuine and sweet sounding chuckle. You smiled at his words and took a step back, taking a hold of his hand.
User: So, what's the plan? Are we just going to walk around the apple orchid?
Ronin shook his head in response.
Ronin: Nah, I wanted to pick some apples and then we can go back to your place.
You could see in his face that he had mischief in mind. What could he possibly want to do with these apples to have that kind of expression on his face? You decided that it's best to not know and just regret this later if it's something really bad.
You were walking through the apple trees, Ronin picked the apples and stored them into a bag that he brought with himself. You knew that he liked anything that had even a little taste of apple in it. So it was no surprise when Ronin ate one of the apples he picked while the two of you were walking.
This date felt almost "normal", you didn't feel like your boyfriend was a serial killer who was brutal and gruesome. This doesn't mean that you don't like him when he acts like... Well Ronin, the devil's butcher. It was just this simple walk through the grass, was a good change of pace from time to time.
You didn't take long in the orchid. After less than an hour later you were on your way back home (this time you could see the road) Ronin was humming along to a death metal song while he was tapping the rhythm on the steering wheel. You watched through the window, you drove past a small village, a forest and your city.
Soon you arrived back at your place. Ronin placed the bag full of apples on the kitchen counter and turned to look at you. His signature smirk present on his lips.
User: What are you scheming?
You asked, brow raised and arms folded over your chest.
Ronin: Oh nothing dangerous, yet.
He snickered and pulled you by your arm towards him.
Ronin: Since we've got so many apples, we are obligated to use them, no?
It didn't take a genius to realise that what Ronin meant was that you have to use them. You sighed heavily clearly annoyed by his behaviour but you soon gave in. After all his help, you could as well do something for him, even though he shouldn't be praised for using the excuse of helping you to commit more murders.
You took off your leather jacket, the same jacket that Ronin gave you a few weeks prior and tossed it at the dining table.
User: Fine. I'll make you an apple pie, happy?
You asked as you started to take out the necessary ingredients from your refrigerator. Ronin's face answered your question on its own. You swore that the smile he was wearing right now was even bigger than his usual smiles.
Ronin: Oh you don't know how grateful I truly am, darlin'.
He answered for what you gave him an eye roll.
User: If you're so grateful then lend me a hand here.
You have him a scolding look and he raised him hands in a gesture of surrender. He took off his own jacket and placed it next to yours.
Ronin: Fine, fine. I'll do the chopping, after all it's something I'm good at.
He made another joke about his "profession" and you almost laughed but you couldn't give him the satisfaction of actually finding his jokes funny.
Your time wasn't bad. Ronin actually helped you with more than just chopping the apples. He also annoyed you by poking you at your sides or on your nose. You just elbowed him in answer for what he just chuckled and gave you some flirtatious answers. You placed the pie into the oven and cleaned the kitchen that was covered in flour (Ronin decided to throw some at you and answered in doing the exact same thing).
Ronin: So while we wait. How about watchin' a movie baby? I have a perfect pick for today.
There wasn't anything better to do so you agreed. You moved to your living room that was really close to your kitchen so you would hear the oven alarm go off. You both sat down on the sofa. While Ronin was looking for a movie that definitely sounded like a slasher, you leaned your head on his shoulder and let his hand wrap around your waist.
Your guess wasn't wrong. Ronin picked the movie "Saw x" you felt like Ronin had fun while you were watching the movie, although he sometimes commented about how boring some moments are for him. Maybe you didn't share Ronin's feelings towards the horror movie, but you certainly were surprised by how unfazed you were by the intense gore. Well, after receiving pictures of gory murders first thing in the morning at least three times a week on #killer_shit, you can't really expect yourself to be scared by a movie.
Now you are watching the second part of the movie, but this time with a pie to eat along, while people are opening themselves with a chainsaw.
That was definitely an... Intriguing first date. And when you thought that it was coming to an end because it was already close to midnight by the time the movie finished and you stopped discussing the plot. Ronin decided to surprise you once again.
Ronin: Oh? You thinkin' that it's already over darlin'? How adorable. But you couldn't be more wrong.
You didn't really enjoy the look in his eyes, it screamed murder. You felt like his plan wasn't going to kill you, but it would definitely be life-changing. You didn't really have much say in this, he basically pulled you by your hand to his car, you drove away into the night and found yourselves in the purgatory.
Ronin stood in the shadows, his face covered with his white mask with black dots going through the middle of it. Crowbar in one hand, the other hand reaching out to you with another mask.
User: Ronin... What exactly are we going to do tonight?
He laughed at your question, this wasn't his usual mocking snicker. He pushed the crowbar into your hands and put the simple black mask on your face, leaning down to your eye level.
Ronin: You didn't really expect a normal date with me, did you? Come on baby, where's the fun in that?
He took the crowbar from you, you could sense the twisted smile on his mouth even when it was covered. You both stood there, hidden in the shadows. Ronin was humming while you just wanted whatever this is to be over. But you were already corrupted so it was only a matter of time before Ronin actually led you into murdering someone, so making it one of your first date attractions shouldn't be so surprising.
Suddenly Ronin pushed himself off of the wall and gave you a signal to stay in your place, you were surprised by his action especially after you just saw him pulling a man into the alley. Wasn't he supposed to give you his crowbar and let you have your first taste of blood shed? It's not like you would be against it, sometimes you could find yourself fantasizing about committing a murder, it started even before you and Ronin were together, writing graphic scenes for your book twisted your brain enough on its own. But now you could only stand and watch the scene in front of you upfold.
Ronin was really rough when it came to murder. He wasn't waiting for the bastard to scream or beg for mercy. He smashed his back with his crowbar while he tried to crawl away from him (he probably twisted his ankle while Ronin threw him on the ground). Your beloved devil crouched next to him while he held his back down with his crowbar.
Ronin: Tsk, tsk. This asshole thinks that he can escape from the devil. Too bad. The devil was always stronger than the pathetic humans.
He laughed maniacally and straightened himself. He smashed the man's head with his weapon. His skull smashed under the strength of the metal hitting it. There was blood everywhere, the brain spilled on the concrete, some new blood reached the walls. Ronin smashed the body a few more times, but for some reason he avoided the torso.
You didn't feel disgusted by this sight, nor were you scared. You somehow felt hypnotized by this and before you knew it, you were almost in front of the corpse. You felt like you were in some kind of trance. You didn't even realise when Ronin moved behind you, wrapping one of his hands around your waist while the other reached your throat. His head was resting on your shoulder, his hot breath sending a ticking sensation on your skin.
Ronin: Writer darlin'... Isn't this a beautiful sight?
He whispered those words into your ear, his fingers gently pressing on your throat. You slowly nodded your head, unable to take your eyes off of the dead body.
Ronin: So how about you curve out that aaorta you promised me? Raw and beating. As filthy as nature made it.
His words sounded like the most romantic love confession to your already deranged brain. You felt like you could do it, you should do it...
Ronin: Would'ja do it?
Another sweet sounding whisper, and a knife placed into your hand. You gripped the handle and slowly walked towards the body, your feet were moving on their own. Soon you were kneeling in front of the torso. Slicing it open with your knife, breaking the ribs so you could reach the heart. You had to cut a few veins because they made it harder to take it. You took the heart into your hand, holding it like it was something precious to you.
You knelt in front of Ronin and held it out to him. He took the heart from you, letting the blood drip to the ground. He lifted the mask, so you could see how terrifyingly amazed he looked. He liked the sight in front of him, he knelt in front of you and took the mask off of your head.
Ronin: Oh I love how rotten you became, my divine lover. My fallen angel.
The next thing you felt were his warm lips pressed to yours. You wrapped your arms around the back of his neck, your kisses deep and raw, he even bit your lip to the point when the both of you felt the metallic taste on your tongues.
And this is how you became the Devil's corrupted angel.
🫀
Hi! Hi! This is my first ever work in the beautiful English language. Please don't kill me.
I hope I did Ronin justice 😭😭

Back to you • Felix catton
Summary : After Abruptly ending things a few months ago with y/n Felix sees her for the first time at a party.
Tumblr media
As the rhythmic pulse of the music filled the room, Felix’s attention abruptly shifted when y/n walked into the party. Time seemed to slow, and the vibrant chatter around him muted into a distant hum. In that moment, everything faded into the background as if the universe had conspired to spotlight her entrance. The air felt thinner, and each step she took echoed like a heartbeat resonating in his chest. Her presence commanded the room, casting a spell that hushed the clamor of the party. For a fleeting moment, the world ceased to exist beyond the boundaries of their shared gaze, and the gravitational pull of nostalgia lingered in the space between them, leaving Felix breathless and captivated by the memory of a connection that time had failed to erase.
She was in that pretty little dress he loved so much. However the arm of the guy she’d walked in with wrapped around the material tainted the image Felix has of it in his head. He wanted to tare the guy limb from limb for being anywhere near his girl. But she’s not his girl anymore.
And that was his fault.
It didn’t take long for Felix to completely abandon the conversation he was in making his way over to y/n who was just as stunned to see him.
“Hey stranger.” Felix said pretending he wasn’t having heart palpitations from the proximity. He watched as the way her eyes welled up for a few seconds at the sight of him before she blinked the tears back making a point of wrapping herself in the boy beside hers arms.
“Hey Felix, this is Danny.”, She said leaning her head onto the boys shoulder “Danny this is Felix.” She said with a tight lipped smile.
“Nice to meet you.” Danny offered his hand to Felix but Felix just looked him up and down and turned his attention back to y/n.
“Could i steal you for a second?” He asked she hesitated for a second before shaking her head.
“No, we’ve just got here need to make the rounds, I’ll see you around though.” She said before grabbing Danny’s hand and dragging him away leaving Felix stood in the same hurt and shock he left her in all those nights ago.
Felix spent the rest of the night sat sulking while the girl he was currently messing around with sat on his lap trying to keep his attention but he couldn’t take his eyes off Y/n and Danny. God what was she going with that guy, she couldn’t love him. Not how she loved Felix he couldn’t believe for a second that she could share the love they had with anyone else.
It wasn’t until she drunkenly stumbled out to the smoking area that she saw his chance to get her alone. Felix pushed the girl off his lap much to her protest before downing what was left of his drink and making his way outside.
He saw her stood in the corner struggling to light her cigarette, the habit that she’d picked up from him staining her still. Y/n fumbled with her lighter, frustration etched on her face as she shook the lighter before returning to try and light her cigarette. Felix let out a sigh before walking over to her flicking his own lighter without saying a word.
She knew it was him without having to look up, she could tell by the signet ring he wore everyday, the one she got him almost four years ago. Y/n reluctantly let him light her cigarette slurring a thank you.
“Can we talk?” He asked as she leant the wall behind them taking a drag of her cigarette.
“About what?” She said In almost a whisper, she knew when she spotted him walking towards her earlier that this would happen. That he’d somehow corner her and beg to talk about what happened. About them.
“You know exactly what.” He said she was refusing to look at him knowing if she did she’d start crying on the spot.
“I don’t want to talk about that.” she said to him staring at the floor. They both let a few moments of silence go by both silently praying the other would talk first.
“You look really pretty tonight.” Felix said and she finally looked up at him scoffing at his words.
“Oh wow you notice for once.” She rolled her eyes as she took another drag of her cigarette.
“Don’t be like that.”
“I’m not being like anything.” She now had tears welling in her eyes for that second time that evening.
“Y/n.” He said softly but she shook her head not wanting to let how gentle he always was with her affect her anymore than it already had.
“Don’t y/n me.” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks, she hated the way he made her feel. She hated that she still loved him.
“Farleigh told me you asked about me.” Felix said as she flicked her cigarette out and threw it away from them
“So what.” She whispered he hated the look in her eyes. The hurt he knew he’d caused.
“You could have asked me yourself.” He said and she shook her head in disbelief. He ended things with her out of the blue and the thought she’d still be his friend.
“You decided that wasn’t an option when you ended things.”
“Y/n.”
“No stop it, I won’t do this.” She shook her head once again her arms wrapping around herself as she moved away from him. She wasn’t sure why she didn’t walk away from him but this was Felix she could never walk away from him. She’d never be the one to walk away.
“Can we please just talk about this?” He was begging at this point. He needed a reason to keep talking to her to keep her near knowing if he let her leave right now he’d never see her again if she could help it.
“Can you just leave me alone, seeing you hurts Felix, it physically hurts.” She said as more and more tears rolled down her eyes the wind making her sway slightly.
“No,” he shook his head his hand coming to her cheek to wipe her tears away, but she batted him away “I’m not going anywhere.”
“You already did, you already left me remember.” She croaked her voice harsh from the alcohol mixed the the tears.
“I never meant for- why Felix why did you do it?” She cut him off her emotions getting the better of her as he looked at her his beautiful brown eyes glossy now as he fought back his own tears.
“I don’t know.” He whispered
“Oh wow you don’t know, real mature.” She was upset, angry and confused all at the same time. Y/n didn’t understand why he couldn’t just be honest with her.
“I’m sorry okay, I never meant for things to end the way they did.”
“I thought we loved each other.” His chest physically ached at the sadness in her voice he hated himself for it.
“We did, god I still love you.”
“Don’t say that.” She was practically sobbing at this point close to hyperventilating all the emotions she felt the day he left coming back up as well as all the others she’s buried since that day never allowing herself to grieve the loss of the relationship.
“But it’s true, I love you and I don’t think I’ll ever stop.” Felix told her watching the way her bottom lip quivered as she sniffled her cheeks stained with her mascara
“Then why did you throw it all away?” He almost didn’t hear her the thumping of the music from inside almost swallowed her voice but he always heard her. In the loudest of rooms he always heard her.
“Because I was scared okay! I was scared that if I let myself fall anymore In love with you that you’d get sick of me and you’d leave and that would have killed me.” He finally admitted and her response only made his heart break harder
“You leaving killed me.”
“I’m sorry, god I’m so sorry.” He chocked on his own tears “Please.” His hands are on either side of her face “please let me fix this, I can’t keep living without you.”
“I don’t want you to hurt me again.”
“I promise ill Never hurt you again, I need you back in my life pretty girl.” He begged wiping her tears away
“I don’t know if I trust you anymore Fi.” She whispered just as the door to the party opened snapping them out of the moment
“Y/n, there you are… oh.” Danny said as he stumbled over to them y/n took a step back from Felix wiping her own face as Felix let out a sigh “what’s going on here?” Danny asked
“This hasn’t anything to do with you.” Felix barked at him the liquor in his veins taking its effect on his tolerance of others
“I wasn’t asking you.” Danny snapped back at him “I was asking MY girl.” He emphasised the My knowing it would get under Felix’s skin
“She’s not your girl.” It took everything in Felix not to swing for Danny. The idea of anyone else calling y/n their girl made him sick.
“She’s not yours either.” Danny began moving closer to the pair
“Cut it out both of you.” Y/n said shaking her head “I can’t do this right now.” She attempted to walk away but Felix caught her wrist and just like always she was putty in his hands
“Y/n!” Danny snapped at her making her flinch slightly which only served to piss Felix off more “Are you really doing this?” He asked her
“I’m sorry.” Y/n whispered looking over at Danny who just shook his head walking away before shouting, “You two deserve each other.”
Y/n didn’t say anything before she wrapped herself around Felix her head resting on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her petting her hair softly. The pair stayed like that for what felt like an eternity before she finally broke the silence.
“Can we go home?”
“Anything you want.”

so american II Felicitas Rauch x Reader

masterlist I word count: 1912
a/n: hi, we hope you enjoy reading this oneshot, your feedback is always appreciated. <3
New starts could be hard. You knew that.
And you imagined they were even harder when you moved to a whole different continent.
But why the hell did your coach pick you out of all the players on the team to show the new player around?
It was not like you didn’t have anything to do in your free time. And you didn’t even know this woman.
She was german, played for their national team and she was a defender. That was all you could recall about her as you impatiently waited in front of the training grounds for her.
You checked the time on your phone. She was already late. What was that again about germans always being punctual?
But then she appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Her dark hair was tied back into a messy bun and she flashed you an apologetic smile.
You bit your lip. Maybe this wasn’t the worst way to spend your afternoon.
“Hello, Felicitas. Welcome to the Courage. I’ll show you around.“, you smiled brightly at her.
“Hi, y/n. Thank you. You can call me Feli by the way.“, she said. Her excitement was almost tangible.
You nodded once: “Alright, Feli. Let’s start with the training grounds.“
“Yes, please.“
You opened the gate to let you two in. Everything was quiet and empty, very different from the normal chaos of your training sessions.
You turned to Feli: “Follow me.“
“Right behind you.“, she grinned. That was, in fact, a lie. She walked right beside you, you could feel her eyes lingering on your side profile.
You suppressed a smile. She was not being subtle at all.
With every bit of professionalism, you continued your tour. You opened the door to a building and let your new teammate peek inside.
“Those are the changing rooms and over there are our physios.“, you explained, pointing towards a door down the hallway.
Feli nodded, taking in her new work place.
“Let’s look at the training pitches.“, you suggested and walked her back outside to the bright green grass.
A thought popped into your head all of a sudden and you stopped in your tracks: “Hey, Feli?“
The German defender looked at you with big eyes, a blush rising into her cheeks: “Uhm, yeah?“
“You’ve already seen your apartment, right?“, you asked her, slightly unsure about how much you were actually supposed to show her.
Feli visibly relaxed: “I did.“ With curious interest, she followed up with: “Are we neighbours? If so, I’d really appreciate any coffeeshop recommendations nearby.“
You laughed, a little surprised by her question: “Yes, I live close by. I can show you where you can get the best coffee.“
“Thanks. I can’t wait for the coffee date.”, she grinned excitedly.
“Coffee date?”, you lifted an eyebrow amused.
“I meant meeting for coffee, might got lost in translation.”, Feli cleared her throat nervously.
“Sounded a bit different, but okay.”, you shrugged smiling.
“Not my fault that you interpreted it that way.”, the German defended herself as she opened her bun only to redo it.
For a moment you had to shake yourself, Feli was right, maybe you misread her glances at you, and the defender looked at everyone that way. But a little part inside you doubted this.
“Right, so these are the pitches we get to work on, that’s the end of our little tour. Do you have any questions left?”, you asked her politely.
“Yes, when will we meet for a cup of coffee?”, she questioned beaming.
“I meant a real question, Feli.”, you rolled your eyes at her playfully.
“It’s a real question and I want a real question.”, Feli demanded with a charming smile on the lips.
“I’ll walk you home and we can get coffee on the way, Deal.”, you offered sighing. This woman took more time than you expected, you didn’t know if this was a good or a bad thing yet. A hot drink sounded great now. The winter sun shone down on the two of you, but you couldn’t wait until it was warmer again.
“Deal.”, she nodded happily.
“Okay, let’s go.”
“This is my favourite coffee shop.”, you declared later when you reached it.
Immediately the scent of fresh coffee beans and delicious sweets hit Felis nose who closed her eyes for a second.
“It’s really nice and it smells so good in here.”, the defender confirmed.
“You should try the cinnamon buns they’re very delicious. The owner’s wife is Swedish, and she bakes the best in town.”, you recommended.
“I think I’ll give them a try. You want to share one?”, Feli wanted to know.
“Yes, why not?” You waited until she took her first bite of the baked good before adding curiously. “And what do you think?"
“They’re really good.”, the German admitted.
“I told you so. I hope you’ll enjoy your time with us.”, you replied delighted.
“With those cinnamon buns and this coffee, I’ll.”, the brunette winked. Leaving a club she had stayed at so long and a league the player was so familiar with was a big change for her. Sitting next to you in that cozy coffeeshop assured Feli that the brave move was the right decision. You made her feel at home away from home.
“You’ll fit in great with the team, we’re all a bit addicted to coffee and occasionally sweet treats.”, you observed.
“Those are my kind of people.”, she answered cheerfully while you both finished drinking your coffees.
“You must be exhausted from your first day. I’ll get you to your front door.”, you decided.
Feli reluctantly agreed but still let you walk her home.
You hugged her goodbye in front of her door: “See you, Feli.“
But as you pulled away and turned around to leave, her hand closed around your wrist.
You looked back at her in surprise.
“Thank you, y/n.“, she said politely. There was something else in her voice, something earnest that you didn’t know how to interpret.
So you just smiled back at her: “You’re welcome.“
“Really.“, she emphasized.
“It was a pleasure.“
Feli opened her mouth like she wanted to say something but quickly thought better of it.
You waited for a moment in hopes that she would finally say what she wanted to say.
“What if I… want a date without the coffee? Or with coffee, if you’d want that…“, she stammered eventually.
Your face dropped. She was asking you out. “Seriously?“
The defender nodded: “Yes.“
“You just know me for a day.“, you pointed out.
“I know when I like someone. And I only asked for a date…“
You were still a bit confused about this situation but also very flattered. You had to appreciate her willingness to take a risk. And she was definitely your type.
“Yes, I’d like to go on a date with you, Feli.“
Her whole face lit up once the words were out: “You do?“
“I do.“, you confirmed with a laugh.
This would later prove to be one of the best decisions you ever made. Your first date turned to a second date and then into a third. You began seeing each other so often that you didn’t know where the dating ended and your relationship began.
And you had to admit, that it improved your playing when Feli was on the field with you. You even made it on the USWNT roster for the Olympics which meant you would be playing against your girlfriend in the group stage.
It was the game you were most excited for. When you finally arrived at the stadium and went out on the grass for the pitch inspection, you spotted Feli waving at you.
You walked over to give her a quick hug before rejoining with your teammates, not sure if your new coach would appreciate you spending too much time before the game with the German players.
You watched from the other side of the pitch as Ann-Katrin Berger, a goalie you knew from the NWSL, approached Feli.
“So are y/n and you…?“, she started, waiting for Feli to finish.
“A couple. Yes, why?“, Feli replied with a grin.
The goalkeeper shrugged nonchalantly: “Just asking.“
“How did you know?“
“I just know those things.“
Feli raised her eyebrows: “It’s your gaydar, huh?“
“It’s better than the regular gaydar.“, her German teammate smirked.
“Sure, Ann.“, Feli rolled her eyes before she motioned for you to come join her. “Y/n, come here.“
“Hi Ann, Feli was so excited to see you again.”, you greeted the goalkeeper warmly.
“She was? She’s such a baby.”, the older woman commented smirking.
“I’m not.”, Feli protested quickly.
“Yeah, more like Cinni is her baby.”, you corrected Ann.
“Cinni?”, she looked surprised between your girlfriend and you.
“She means my dog cinnamon.”, the defender explained blushing.
“I know what she means. I’m surprised you let her call your dog Cinni.”, Ann remarked.
“She’s allowed to say that because Cinnamon fell hard for her at first sight.”, Feli responded.
“Just like Feli herself.”, you teased her lovingly.
“I can tell.”, the goalkeeper grinned at you both.
“Y/n, we got to go back inside.”, Emily called for you.
“Coming!” With an apologetic smile you turned your head back to the two Germans. “Sorry, I’ve to leave.”
You could feel Felis eyes on you as you walked to your American teammate who was already waiting.
“Stop staring, we need to go too.”, Ann reminded the defender laughing.
“Exactly, stop being cute we’ve to play against her team.”, Sara interjected while giving her friend a side hug as they walked to their changing room.
“I know that.”, Feli playfully pushed the Frankfurt defender away.
“Let’s beat them.”, the short haired woman chirmed.
They lost 4:1 against your team.
“Y/n, don’t take too long.”, Emily requested once she noticed that you were about to console your girlfriend.
“I promise I won’t.”, you reassured her.
“Feli, hi.”, you softly put a hand on the brunette’s shoulder.
“Hi.”, she looked up with a sad smile on her face.
“Do you still want to swap jerseys?”, you asked the defender cautiously.
“You think I’m mad at you because you beat us? It’s only the group stage.”, Feli answered, the sadness was gone.
“Ah, there’s your smile again.”, you observed happily.
“Now give me your jersey.”, the football player demanded grinning.
“She’ll sleep in that tonight.”, Sara intervened chuckling.
“Ew, gross.”, you wrinkled your nose.
“Sara.”, your girlfriend clicked her tongue.
“Y/n.”, Emily shouted in the background.
“I’m on my way.”, you told your teammate.
“See you soon, Feli.” When she didn’t let you go, you added. “I really got to go, Liebling.”
“Wait you forgot something.”, Feli whispered before kissing you.
“Ew.”, Sara pretended to throw up jokingly in the background, but you both ignored her.
“Shut up, Sara!”, you two replied.
Rude.”, the older defender pouted.
From the corner of your eye, you saw Sara shaking her head in amusement before your girlfriend draw your attention back to her. This kiss tasted sweeter than the win.
Later when you were back in your hotel room which you shared with Emily who was reading her e-book you saw that Feli send you a photo which was taken in the changing room, her hair was slightly messy, and she was wearing your jersey proudly. The message underneath the picture said: Good night, Liebling. Sweet dreams.
And you indeed slept sweet that night with the feeling that you were very much loved.

I can exactly remember the words she said this morning.
When I was laying in my bed, safely wrapped in her arms.
"Whatever happens tonight, I will always be so proud of you."
I was still half asleep and only managed to get out a small nod as an answer, but I knew that it was enough for her.
That I was enough for her.
"Breathe! You can do this." Giuli said to me as I was walking towards the penalty mark.
If I scored, we would be through to the semi finals.
If not....well I guess we would have to do another round of penalty shootouts.
I move the ball to the correct position and then walk a few steps backwards.
After I hear the referee blew her whistle I take a deep breath, trying to push away all the thoughts in my head.
This is soccer.
This is what I am best at.
Without thinking about it more, I start running towards the ball.
And I kick it.
Directly into the net, through the open arms of the Canadian goalkeeper.
I hear my teammates shouting and a scream escapes my mouth while I jump around like a crazy one.
The first one to catch up on me is Feli, she hugs me so tight that we almost fall to the ground, but Anne is there to catch us.
"YESSSSSS" I hear Syd screaming as her arms also wrap around me and it quickly turns into a big group hug.
They scream and hug each other and I see Syd and Laura chasing each other around with the water bottles someone gave them.
Feli still holds onto me, her arms wrapped around me so tightly that I can barely breath, and even though we are both sweaty and my legs feel like they where made out of cement the only thing I care about is the words she says.
There so quiet that only I am able to understand it, but I do.
"I love you so fucking much."
I pull back to look at her and see the big smile that covers her face.
"I love you too." I say and it takes all my strength to not kiss her, right there, right now.
Luckily Sara and Merle come to bring us some water and so we just keep smiling at each other.
"SEMI FINALS! SEMI FINALS! SEMI FINALS!" Bibi and Laura scream as we enter the locker room.
"WHUUUUU" I answer and they laugh.
We celebrate that win a little more but we can fell how tiered everyone is so we quickly take a shower and then go to the bus to head back to our hotel.
Feli shoots me a smile before going into her room with Sara and then sends me a goodnight text.
We're not out to the team yet and so we also have other roommates.
---
As I wake up in the morning the sun isn't up yet and so Syd is also still asleep.
I grab my phone from the little nightstand and see a massage from Feli asking if I wanted to come over since Sara got up early and went to the gym.
As quietly as possible I get up, put on some shoes and then leave the room, trying not to wake Syd up.
Feli and Saras room isn't far from mine and after my second knock she already opens the door.
"Hey beautiful, any reason your up this early?" she flirts, leaning against the door frame.
"This cute girl asked me to come over but I think she's already gone." I tease, looking past her into the room and then stepping back.
"Whoa." Feli quickly grabs my hand, pulling me back. "You think my roommate is cute?"
"You are cute." I say and she laughs.
"Come on inside before anyone ears us." I follow her inside and then jump onto her bed.
Feli laughs at me but quickly lays down next to me, wrapping her arms around me.
"Feli?" I ask and look up into her beautiful brown eyes.
"Yes?"
"Do you really love me?"
Something in the way she looks at me, in this moment, the way the look in her eyes softens, makes me fall in love even more.
"I never felt so much love like I do for you." she whispers and then softly kisses me.
"I love you more." I answer and then let my head rest on her shoulder.
She softly starts running her fingers through my hair and I almost fall back asleep but a sudden loud noise that comes from the hallway, gets me awake again.
"I dont know where she is Syd." I hear someone saying and look over at the door.
"She also isn't downstairs at breakfast." I hear another voice, I would say it's Giuli.
Then I hear a door opening and foot steps.
"What's going on?" Thats defiantly Laura.
"We can't find Y/N." this time it is Syd.
"What about Y/N?" I hear Leas voice.
"What are they doing? A team meeting?" I whisper to Feli and she tries to hold back her laughter, while Syd repeats her sentence from before.
"We should ask Feli, they are usually together." Lea suggests and before I even realize what that means, the door opens.
"Shit." I say and fell Feli pulling me tighter against her body.
"Feli have you.....whoa!" Sara says, stopping in the doorway so Syd bumps against her.
"What...OH MY GOOD!" Syd screams, jumping back and with that the other people in the hallway get to see us too.
"You two..." she adds, looking from Feli to me and back to Feli.
"...where trying out if these Anti-Intimacy beds actually work?" Laura finishes her sentence.
Feli grabs the pillow from behind us and throws it at her.
"Chill buddy, we understand that you both have needs but dont you know how to lock the door?" Sara asks.
"It's not like that." Feli says and sits up, my hand in hers.
"You sure?" Laura asks, grinning at us.
"Yes."
"You two are in love?" Anne says, she is overlooking the rest of the group and her eyes are fixed on our entangled hands.
Feli looks at me and in her eyes I see that she is asking for my permission to tell them about us.
"We are." she smiles.
"OH MY GOOD." Syd screams again and before anyone can react she jumps on top of us.
"MY BESTIE IS IN LOVE." she shouts and pulls me into a hug.
I can see the rest of the room laughing, before Sara also hugs Feli.
"I think you got the right girl, buddy." She says and Feli smiles.
"I think that too."

ohh, if i'm mentioned, then i can give the first specific answer! In the German dub of Prime:
Sonci specifcally says "Ich liebe dich auch" which just literally means "I love you too" and it's clearly intended to be sarcastic, however, it's still the explicitly romantic phrase. "Ich habe dich auch lieb" would be the platonic phrase. You could argue it's about syllabes (since german is incredibly wordy), but you can shorten the phrase to "Hab' dich auch lieb" which is just four syllables, one less than what's in the script, meaning the choice for that was deliberate.
So Sonadow canon in german.
actually @felikatze has inspired me: i'm now making a chart for the "i heart you too, shadow" scene. in the notes, tell me:
what language you saw it dubbed in
which of the following happened with the line:
he says "i <3 you" or "i love you" (neutral)
he says "i love you" in a specifically platonic sense
he says "i love you" in a specifically romantic sense**
secret fourth option (explain)
**this doesn't just have to be with phrasing; the Thai dub has him make kissing sounds, which I believe is still romantic? idk please let me know if I'm wrong there

Camp Wiegman-Part 31
Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle

Alternative Universe : Military School

Masterlist
———————————————————————
Wednesday, January 6th, 2:45 PM - Class
Three days since classes resumed. Nothing much has changed for now. The only difference is that I can finally go back to the common room after class. My exams are finally over, and I've caught up on all my classes. It’s nice to be able to hang out with my friends again, especially Alexia since we'll soon be in different classes if all goes well. We should receive our responses to our choices tomorrow. The class council meeting will take place in a few hours. Yet the teachers haven't become any less annoying at the end of this semester. I'm relieved when the bell rings, signaling the end of our last class. Ale and I walk out with smiles on our faces. I received my last grade today, and let’s just say I aced it all.
"Hey, Bronze!" I shout when I see her in the hallway.
I apologize to Alexia, telling her not to wait for me, then walk over to meet my advisor, who's pinning up posters on a notice board. Apart from the morning checks, we've barely seen each other since classes started again. She's been less on my back, but I can tell she's still watching me from the shadows ever since I told her about Feli.
"Ona. How can I help you?"
I show her my math paper, proudly displaying a red fifteen. She congratulates me before continuing her work, without giving me much more attention. She’s distant. It's like she resents me for hiding Feli's intentions from her. I hate it when she makes me regret things. She should know that this situation already affects me enough without her adding her two cents.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Help me, then, if you're going to stick around."
I nod and hold the poster for her while she tapes it up. She pauses for a moment to take a look.
"So? What did you want to ask me?"
"I wanted to know if you could buy me a new phone? Or at least come with me to get one this weekend? Ever since mine broke, I haven’t been able to contact anyone."
"No."
My smile fades at her refusal, catching me off guard. I was expecting there wouldn’t be any problem. I hadn’t even prepared to convince her otherwise.
"What do you mean, no?"
"The answer is no. You won't be getting a new phone."
"But why? You already keep me here, and I'm getting tired of having to bother Ale every time I need to borrow hers."
"I said no, Ona. Don’t insist."
"But, but..." I stammer desperately. "You’re cutting me off from the world!"
I let go of the poster to face her. It falls to the ground since it was only attached on one side. Lucy sighs in frustration at the mess I made. It probably got torn, but that's the least of my worries right now.
"Pick it up, please."
I squint at her, but her stern gaze wins by a long shot. I give in and pick it up. I put it back in place so she can fix my mistake. I only let go once it's properly secured this time, then cross my arms, waiting for her response before continuing to help her.
"I don't see why you'd say no."
"And I don't see why you're reacting like this. You’re acting like a spoiled child."
"Yeah, well, I don’t like it when you tell me no."
"Someone has to, so you understand that not everything is a given."
I puff out my cheeks under her amused look. 1-0 for her. I finally sigh when she gives me a small hug and hands me a new poster.
"Come on, stop acting like a child. I’m doing this for your own good."
"I don't see how," I mutter.
"You don't see why?" she raises an eyebrow.
"No, I don't. How is refusing me a new phone for my own good?"
"Well, for starters, your ex is a dangerous psychopath. Does that answer your question?"
"That’s not a reason," I complain in a displeased whine.
"It is. By now, she’s probably still harassing your number, so if you want a new phone, you’ll need to change your number first."
I'm so tired of her always being right. I didn’t dare put my SIM card in Alexia’s phone for that exact reason. I didn’t want to face her messages and calls.
"Fine..." I concede, facing the facts.
"I can help you sort this out, but in the meantime, you’ll have to make do with Alexia’s phone or mine if you really need to contact someone."
I feel ashamed for thinking she just wanted to stop me from communicating. She only wants to make sure Feli can’t find me. She’s redoing all the steps my mother took a year and a half ago.
"I’m sorry..."
She smiles, ruffling my hair in response. I help her hang the last poster, and she picks up the old ones she left on the floor before we head down the stairs.
"The steps are going to be complicated... My mom usually handles that kind of thing since she pays for my plan. I have no idea how to do it."
"I figured. That’s why I’m offering to do it together since you’ll need to call her."
"Are you serious?"
"You want a phone, don’t you?"
I groan, already knowing what her next answer will be. How am I going to ask my mom to change my SIM card without explaining the situation? I didn’t want her to know. I need to prove to her that I can handle things without her intervening in my life.
"Luce?"
"I already told you not to call me that here, Ona," she scolds.
"Sorry... But... Do you think I’ll have to tell my mom about... Feli and all that?"
"I won’t force you to tell her if you don’t want to, but she’ll need an explanation. As a mother, I’d want to know about this kind of thing with my kids. But I know you’re not on good terms with her, so it’s up to you."
"I’ve been wanting to switch to another mobile phone plan for a while. This could be a good opportunity to negotiate."
"Then you just have to come up with a believable excuse," she says, stopping in the hall. "In the meantime, you’ll have to wait. By the way, you’ll need to give me your phone. Or I’ll come to your room tonight instead. I want to destroy your SIM card."
"Okay... Do you think the stolen phone excuse will work?"
"Maybe," she shrugs. "Now, can I get back to work?"
"Can I stay with you?"
"Now that you’re rid of me, you want to stick around?" she laughs.
"I never wanted to get rid of you," I say, following her to her office. "Well..."
I turn around and walk backward. I return her smile when we face each other.
"Maybe that was the case at first. But it’s not anymore!"
Unexpectedly, Lucy grabs my arm. She must have underestimated her strength because I find myself pressed against her. She takes a step back, apologizing. I frown when I realize the apology isn’t directed at me.
"My apologies, Mrs. Wiegman. She’s a bit scatterbrained when she wants to be."
I widen my eyes, realizing who’s behind me. I slowly turn around to indeed see the principal I almost ran into. Luckily, she said her name, or I would have made a fool of myself. This time I would’ve gotten scolded by Wiegman herself.
"No worries, it’s more fear than harm. Did Ona cause any trouble again?"
"Oh, no, no. She just told me she lost her phone. We’re going to call her mom to have it blocked."
"Did it get stolen here?" she asks me.
"Uh, no. It happened outside the camp... I haven’t had time to tell Bronze," I lie.
"Oh. Will you take care of it, Miss Bronze?"
"Of course. That was my intention."
"Good, I must go. I have a class council meeting to attend. Yours, in fact," she informs me.
"Oh..." I murmur, feeling uneasy.
"Good evening."
She continues on her way to the stairs. I feel Lucy’s hand on my lower back, urging me to move forward. That was a close call. I enter her office, which is empty. Lucy drops the posters she was still holding into a bin and sits behind her desk.
"Is Ingrid not here today?"
"She is, just not here."
"Okay," I reply, sitting across from her. "Why did you say that to Wiegman? Are you really going to call my mom?"
"Of course not," she laughs. "I don’t even have her contact info. I just didn’t want her to know you’re staying in my office for fun."
"Hum..." I mutter, resting my head in my hands. "Hey, I’ve had a question on my mind for a while."
"Hum?"
"Why did you take it so badly that Jenni and-"
We’re interrupted by a noise at the door. We both look toward it, and I’m surprised to see Alessia there. She seems just as surprised as I am. My advisor breaks our eye contact by inviting her in. She hands her a paper about a student who apparently went to the infirmary, if I understood correctly. Lucy needs to sign it to acknowledge that the student won’t be returning to class.
"Aren’t you with the others?" she asks me.
"No," I reply simply.
"Are you going to join them?"
"I don’t know, maybe," I shrug.
"My office isn’t a tea room," Lucy says harshly, handing back the paper.
"Sorry," Alessia replies. "Thanks for signing the paper."
"Hum. Now get back to class."
Alessia nods, giving me one last look. She says, "See you later," before leaving the room for good. I follow her with my eyes before turning back to Lucy. She rolls her eyes, making me chuckle.
"She really doesn’t leave you alone, does she? What was that New Year's thing with her?" she asks.
"Mapi wanted to prove to me that she’s got me in her sights, if you know what I mean. She stuck to me all night to make her jealous."
"Well, it seems like she succeeded, given the way she’s eyeing you."
"You should’ve seen, she got wasted before midnight," I sigh.
"And does she interest you?"
"No. I found her nice, but much less so since we disagreed on a subject. And besides, she’s not my type. Even if she was, I don’t want to get into a relationship right now. As you said yourself, I have a dangerous ex-psychopath."
"That doesn’t stop you from having a new relationship. Maybe not with Alessia, but with someone else in your life could help you move on."
"Drop it," I mutter. "I don’t want to talk about it."
I avoid the conversation by burying my head in my arms. I hear her sigh, but it seems she drops the subject, getting back to work based on the noises I hear. I wait a few more minutes to make sure before lifting my head from my hiding place. I smile when I see she’s wearing her glasses. I love seeing her with them; she wears them so well.
"I can understand that you had a disastrous relationship, but to the point of not wanting another one..."
And she’s back at it. I roll my eyes in exasperation.
"I’m not ready, that’s all. I understand that everyone’s different, but I can’t. There are still too many scars."
"Okay, no need to take it like that," she rolls her eyes in turn. "I won’t insist on the subject anymore."
She finally goes silent, much to my relief. I continue to watch her, or rather, admire her as she works. I have to admit, she has a lot of charisma. Our silence reminds me that I didn’t get to finish my question about my roommate’s relationship. That’ll have to wait for another time. Since she decided to stop talking, I rest my head in my arms and enjoy the quiet to relax.
Wednesday, January 6th; 6:15 PM - Instructor's Office.
I groan as tremors take over my body. I gradually emerge, remembering where I am. I sit up and rub my eyes, catching Lucy's smug smile.
- "About time."
- "What time is it?" I murmur sleepily.
- "Quarter past six."
- "What?" I exclaim, fully awake now. "You let me sleep? For two hours?"
- "Actually, you left me talking to thin air for a while. I realized at some point that you’d fallen asleep, so I decided to let you be. You looked like you needed it."
- "You should’ve woken me up earlier! I wanted to join the others!" I grumble.
- "Well, you'll spend time with them tomorrow."
I sigh, stretching to chase away the stiffness in my body from the nap. Lucy mocks me.
- "Come here."
Without thinking, I lean over the desk. My reflex is to pull back when I see her hands approach my face. She chuckles.
- "Come on, I just want to clean up your smudged makeup."
I lean forward again, understanding her intent. I roll my eyes as she wipes under them with her thumbs.
- "There, all done," she smiles.
- "Thanks, and thanks for letting me sleep," I say, slumping back against the chair.
- "You’re welcome. I knew it would do you some good."
- "If you say so," I reply playfully, rolling my eyes. "Any news from the class council?"
- "No, sorry. And even if I did, you'd have to wait until tomorrow, like everyone else."
- "You’re mean," I pout.
- "Patience. I’m sure you’ll know more by tomorrow morning."
- "I hope so. Weren't you supposed to attend?"
- "No, it's just for the teachers and the principal in this kind of meeting."
- "I didn’t know that."
- "You couldn’t have known," she smiles. "Anyway, didn’t you want to meet up with your friends?"
- "At this hour, I’ll just join them at the cafeteria."
- "Alright. So can we talk about the insomnia you mentioned on New Year's? I doubt your little nap was a coincidence."
- "On second thought… Maybe I’ll go meet the others..."
- "Too late, your chance to escape is gone," she teases.
She’s only half-joking, as I know she won’t let me go now. Why does she have to remember everything?
- "They persist, but I’m managing," I say honestly.
- "I thought I told you to talk to me if that was the case," she frowns.
- "I’ll tell you if it gets worse."
- "So it could get worse?"
Clearly, I tend to speak too quickly with her. She manages to get me to talk so naturally. I’ll have to learn to watch my words if I don’t want her to know too much.
- "A few weeks before starting school, I had nightmares. I’d wake up in the middle of the night, and it’s starting to happen again. They’re not as bad right now, but they could become more intense."
- "See, this is exactly the kind of thing you should talk to me about more often."
- "I’m sorry," I sigh. "There was a time when I wasn’t having them anymore… I didn’t think they’d come back."
- "Do you want to talk to me about these nightmares?"
- "No. They’re about my past... It’s nothing important," I lie.
- "Hmm," she responds skeptically. "And what’s the worst consequence you’ve had so far?"
- "A panic attack, I guess. The nightmares feel so real that they make me panic," I admit in a whisper.
She sighs, running a hand over her face. I bite my lip, thinking I probably should have told her as soon as they returned. I wanted to avoid worrying her over something so minor while I was still in Barcelona. I had hoped to solve the problem before coming back, but that wasn’t the case. Seeing Feli again must be the cause. I’m angry at myself for not being able to shake it off. I had managed to get rid of it before coming here.
- "Alright. If it gets worse, I want you to tell me as soon as possible, and if you have a panic attack, I want to be notified. Is that clear?"
I nod, not daring to argue. Her tone leaves no room for disobedience.
- "I’ll also inform the night supervisors on your floor."
Great... Now I’ll have to be even more discreet than before. Well, at least they’ll be warned if something more serious happens. I don’t think it will, but you never know. I’d hate to disturb Lucy in the middle of the night. I’m already bothered just by the thought of possibly waking up Alexia if I’m not careful.
- "Alright, I’m done with my work. We can head to the cafeteria together if you want."
- "Yeah."
- "No homework for tomorrow?"
- "No. Our teachers aren’t giving us anything since we change classes next week."
- "Oh right, silly me."
- "By the way, um..." I begin hesitantly. "Can you help me with that? Well, not really help, but supervise me or something like that. I was more serious when you were helping me, and I might slack off if you’re not on my case anymore..."
I feel embarrassed seeing her raise an eyebrow. I don’t like asking for this kind of thing, so I sink into my chair as if it would make me disappear. A refusal from her would be utterly humiliating. Finally, she gives me a silly smile.
- "You’re going to end up on the floor if you keep sinking like that."
- "Oh, shut up," I say, sitting up straight. "I’m not used to asking for this kind of thing. I’ve always managed on my own until now."
- "Oh, but I didn’t say anything," she smiles a bit more.
- "But you’re thinking it really loudly!"
- "Here, after your classes. You can manage your time based on how much homework you have. Does that work for you?"
- "Really?"
- "Yes, of course. But I won’t be able to help you as much as before. I’ll only step in if it’s absolutely necessary. Don’t forget that I have a job too."
- "No worries. I just need your supervision to stay motivated."
- "I know," she smiles. "We’ll start when you switch classes and all that."
- "Yep, that works for me."
- "Good," she says, closing her binder. "Now, how about we go eat? I’m hungry."
I nod enthusiastically. She puts away her binder while I grab my jacket and bag. The building is empty at this hour. She locks the main door behind us. It’s pitch black and still freezing outside. I tighten my jacket as I see snowflakes clinging to the ground.
- "Does it ever stop snowing here?" I complain.
- "I think we’ll have it for a little while longer," she laughs.
- "How do you handle it, coming from Portugal too?"
- "Well, you get used to it, and I don’t complain as much as you," she teases.
I sigh and cross my arms to preserve my warmth. She’s probably right. Lucy complains less than I do. We reach the cafeteria, where she waits with me at the entrance after I tell her I see my friends coming from a distance.
- "Still good for this weekend?"
- "Of course, if you’re still up for it. It’s your only way out of school anyway, since I’m not letting you go home."
- "So I can crash at your place in return?"
- "I never said that. I said a weekend, not multiple."
- "You’re forbidding me from going home. You owe me at least that."
- "I don’t owe you anything," she laughs. "I’m doing this for you," she adds with a wink.
- "Yeah, right."
I turn around when I hear the door open with a rather noisy group. Bingo, it’s my friends.
- "Well, enjoy your meal."
- "Thanks, you too," I wish her.
We exchange a smile before she leaves with Ingrid, who arrived shortly after my friends entered. Everyone heads to the dining hall except Alexia, who comes over to me.
- "So, what were you doing after class?"
- "I was with Bronze for a bit. I wanted to join you all after, but I fell asleep at her desk," I admit.
- "Bravo," she teases.
Alexia is in the best position to know that I’m running on short nights. I had to tell her. I could have hidden it, but I wanted to avoid scaring her by going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. That’s where I need to go to pull myself together. Given my clumsiness, I’d probably wake her up by accident while doing so. It hasn’t happened yet, but stealth isn’t my strong suit. For example, on the first night, I bumped into my desk. Last night, I stubbed my little toe on the bed frame... I’m already dreading what will happen tonight.
We arrive at our table with our trays full. I start eating while they tell me about what I missed after class. It doesn’t seem like much since they didn’t do much except play foosball. Everyone is here tonight, which is quite rare. At least, that's what I thought until I noticed someone was missing.
- "Isn't your sister eating with us tonight?" I asked Leah.
- "Nah, she told me she's eating with her friends. Why?"
- "Just curious. I saw her this afternoon, so I expected to see her with you guys."
- "Oh yeah? Where was that?"
I explained to her what happened in Lucy's office. Based on what she told me, I thought she'd be here. I hope she didn't take it badly that Lucy kicked her out of her office. I didn't really understand why Lucy acted that way. Since the topic of Alessia was brought up, Alexia took the opportunity to question Leah about me to see if she knew anything. I quickly kicked her under the table, not particularly wanting to discuss such matters in front of everyone. It didn't convince Alexia, though, who seemed determined to find out more.
- "I have no idea," she replied. "We don't meddle in each other's relationships. Why, are you interested?"
The question caught me off guard. We had never discussed this kind of thing together before. She didn't seem to mean any harm, judging by the smile on her face.
- "Oh no, not really," I replied, smiling back. "I just like her as a friend, that's all. It's just that Ale and Mapi have been fixated on this since New Year's, so she couldn't resist asking you."
- "What's your type, anyway?" Alba asked.
- "I don't have any particular preference. I suppose brunettes, since all my exes were. But I don't just judge by appearance."
- "Speaking of brunettes..."
I furrowed my brows at Claudia's insinuation. I quickly understood what she meant when I jumped at the feeling of a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see my supervisor's green eyes staring back at me. Since I was facing away from their table today, I didn't see her approach.
- "Don't you get tired of scaring me all the time?"
- "It's not my fault you get startled so easily," she smiled. "When are you heading back to your room?"
- "Probably after dinner," I shrugged. "Why?"
- "Aren't you going to the common room first?"
- "I don't think so," I said, briefly glancing at Ale for confirmation.
- "I'll stop by after eight to fix your phone problem."
- "I can handle it myself, you know."
- "No. I said I'd take care of it. See you later."
I groaned as she ruffled my hair before walking away. I watched her until she left the room. When I looked back at the table, I noticed everyone was staring at me.
- "What?"
- "What's this phone problem?" Patri asked.
- "My phone's dead. I threw it in a fit of anger."
- "Do you want us to take a look at it?" Claudia offered. "Maybe we can fix it?"
- "I don't think so. It's in pieces, so I doubt you could do much, but thanks for offering."
- "Whatever you say."
- "Come on, finish your meal. The last thing we need is Bronze getting on our case for being late."
- "Relax," I teased. "If she takes it out on anyone, it'll be me, not you."
I finished my meal, as I was one of the last ones eating. It was clear the issue between Ale and Lucy was far from resolved. It seemed like she was trying to make a good impression at every opportunity. I really need to talk to Lucy about it. Once we all finished, we headed back to our rooms just before eight. No one felt like going to the common room. We made it back in time, as Lucy arrived a few minutes later. For the first time, she sat next to me on the bed instead of taking my desk chair. She got straight to the point, asking for my phone. She started working on it while asking Alexia if she had a good day. Alexia seemed too surprised to respond properly, which made me smile. She was so thrown off that she excused herself to go take a shower.
- "Are you really going to destroy it?" I asked when I saw her remove the SIM card.
- "I'm going to put it in my phone first. Do you have something to write with nearby?"
- "For what?"
- "To save important numbers, like Mapi's, for example."
I nodded and went to get some paper and a pen. By the time I returned, she had already inserted the SIM card into her phone. She handed it to me so I could enter my passcode to unlock it. Lucy looked over my shoulder as notifications flooded the screen. I bit my lip at the many missed calls and unread messages. Most were from unknown numbers. The rest were from Mapi, worried about not hearing from me.
- "Can I read them?" she asked.
I nodded and handed it back to her. I had nothing to hide and preferred she read them herself rather than me. Curiosity got the better of me, though, and I noticed she started with Mapi's messages. One message in particular caught my attention. I panicked and tried to grab the phone from her, but Lucy held me off.
- "No, please! Don't read that nonsense!"
I nearly crushed her, but she managed to pin my hand behind her back and wrapped her arm around my neck. My free hand tried to reach the phone, but it was a lost cause as she stretched her arm out of reach.
- "'Sexy Commander took away your phone?'" she read, raising an eyebrow. "What's with that nickname?" she laughed. "I assume she's talking about me?"
I stopped struggling now that she had read the one thing I didn't want her to. She looked at me amusedly, waiting for an answer.
- "It's just a Mapi thing. I already told her to stop, but you know how she is; once she starts something, it's a lost cause."
- "Hmm," she smiled. "You'll have to explain the origin of that nickname one day. I imagine it's not new."
- "You don't need to know everything in life."
- "But I want to know," she challenged.
- "I think we have more important things to do, don't we?"
- "You're right, but you won't get away with it," she teased. "Let's check the other messages."
She released her hold on me so I could sit properly next to her. Most of the messages were from unknown numbers. It couldn't be Feli's since I blocked her. But the content of the messages made it clear it was her. They were full of apologies or "let me talk to you." Some even contained the violence and anger of being ignored. I eventually stopped reading, but Lucy kept going until the end. She said nothing before telling me to grab something to write with. I listened as she started dictating the numbers I needed. I didn't save many. The first ones I took were Mapi's, Sam's, and Lucy's. I also kept the numbers of my high school friends I reconnected with, as well as my mom's, the house's, and Marcus's. Since the SIM card would be destroyed, I might as well keep them. She turned off her phone, removed the SIM card, and unceremoniously broke it. She folded it several times until it snapped in two. I wasn't sure what I was feeling at that moment.
- "Are you okay?"
- "Yeah... Thanks for doing all this."
- "If you need to communicate, you can come see me, and I'll lend you my phone."
I nodded, biting my lip. She raised her arm, inviting me to snuggle against her. I sighed as she stroked my hair to help me relax. I'll never understand why she gets so involved in my problems, but I'm really glad she does. From the beginning, she said she wouldn't let me go, and she wasn't lying. I'm developing a real affection for her, and it's growing stronger every day. I moved away from her when Alexia interrupted us by coming out of the bathroom. She doesn't know the extent of our relationship. Plus, since I know things aren't going well between them, I don't want her to know about us.
- "Alexia?" my supervisor called.
- "Yes?"
- "If one night things get really bad for Ona, I want to be notified. You'll tell the instructor in charge of surveillance."
- "I can handle myself just fine," I retorted.
- "Be quiet; I'm not talking to you," she scolded me harshly. "I know you won't tell me. Can I count on you, Alexia?" she asked.
- "Yes, of course."
- "Good. I'm going back to my room now that everything's settled. Good night, girls."
- "Good night," Ale and I replied.
She closed the door behind her. I sighed and collapsed onto the bed. My break was short-lived, as I still needed to shower before crawling under the sheets.
Thursday, January 7th; 3:30 AM - Ona and Alexia's Room
I woke up to persistent shaking. I was completely disoriented. I looked around to get my bearings. I felt like I was suffocating, like I couldn't breathe. I realized what was happening when I saw Alexia's panicked face. She forced me to look at her by gripping my head between her hands. I felt sticky and tried to catch my breath as best I could.
- "Hey Ona! It's just me, calm down. Do you want me to call someone?
I shake my head slowly. I don’t want to disturb anyone else. I have no idea what just happened, but my condition doesn’t look good. Alexia nervously bites her lip. She doesn’t seem to agree with me.
- "I need to inform Bronze... She was clear about her orders..."
- "No," I almost shout. "It’s fine, I promise... D-don’t wake her for nothing."
- "Ona... It took me ten minutes to wake you up... You were really panicked, and you were almost screaming in your sleep. She made me promise to inform her... I don’t want to get on her bad side more than I already am! She’s my boyfriend’s best friend," she adds dramatically.
- "D-don’t call her," I insist. "I’ll deal with her when the time comes. I-I, it’ll be okay. You can go back to sleep."
- "No way. You were having a panic attack, weren’t you?"
I sigh and get out of bed. Alexia remains sitting while I search for a new pajama set in my wardrobe. She watches me until I’m in the bathroom. I change because my pajamas are soaked with sweat. I sigh as I lean against the sink. When I open my eyes, I see my roommate watching me intently from the doorway. She looks really worried, which only makes things worse.
- "I’m fine."
- "Don’t lie to me. Who’s Feli? You kept saying her name, telling her to stop."
- "Please keep this to yourself."
- "If you don’t tell me, I’ll find Bronze right now."
- "She’s my ex, nothing more," I concede. "And stop being afraid of her. She’s not that scary once you get to know her a little."
- "I didn’t know you were that close to her..."
I let out yet another sigh as I splash water on my face to clear my head. I then dry my face.
- "That’s not the case," I say, leaning against the sink.
- "I’m sure she knows more about this than I do. Am I wrong? You could have talked to me, you know. I wouldn’t judge you for being close to an instructor!"
- "Ale... It’s not like that. She’s just helping me get better, that’s all."
- "Should I go look for her?"
- "No, I’m fine."
- "You’ll talk to her about it tomorrow, then."
I groan but nod to appease her. I don’t plan to do it, but at least she’ll leave me alone. We leave the bathroom and return to our respective beds. Alexia quickly falls back asleep. As for me, I try not to think about my nightmare, which keeps replaying in my mind. I just had my first panic attack, and I wasn’t even awake. It’s the first time it’s happened to me. I hope it’s the last because I really don’t want to involve Lucy in this. She’s already taken enough care of me during the day, and I don’t want to disturb her during her sleep. I eventually manage to drift back to sleep a few minutes later.

Grumpy cloud
a/n: should I be sleeping or revising for my exam the next week? Yes but I think you deserved that before
Tumblr media
*not my GIF*
Pairing: Ewa Pajor x Léon!reader; Wolfsburg Frauen x reader
Summary: Ewa is jealous [in the same universe as 'Ray of sunshine']
Type: Fluff
Warning: use of Google translate for Spanish and Polish like usual so let me know if there's some mistakes
word count: 1653
-----------
January. The start of a new year, and with that, a little camp in Portugal before the next part of the season. Today's training was really good, and now you could just rest until your friendly game against Hoffenheim the next day.
The team was split into some small groups but was rather close to each other.
"She's staring again." Sveindis commented and gained the attention of the few girls around her. The little group composed of Jule, Obi, and Lynn looked at where the Icelandic players pointed out Ewa, who seemed to be in an intense eye contest against the back of your head.
"She's been doing it a lot since the start of the season." Jule said.
"Do you think Y/n noticed that?" The Dutch defender asked.
"I don't know, but I find it funny." Lena said with a smile, which confused the girls around her.
"Why?" Sveindis asked.
"It's been a while since I saw her jealous like that." The defensive midfielder explained.
A few metres away from them, there was another group composed of Ewa, Alexandra, Dominique, Svenja, Kathrin, and Feli. They were chatting about something until they noticed that the Polish striker was focused on something else.
"You're staring. Again." Dom said to Ewa, a little amused by this.
"I know." Your wife replied but didn't lose her focus.
"Hey, she will not disappear when you look away; don't worry. I don't think she could take away your girl."
"I'm not worrying about anything." The comment was cold when she saw you being a little more touchy than usual.
"Okay, no. We don't start this. Not today." Alex said, standing up and placing herself in front of your wife. Ewa grumbled and wanted to protest, but was cut off. "You know what? I think we need a little tour of the city. What do you think, girls?"
"I think that is a great idea. And maybe we will not see Ewa ripped off the head of someone today." Feli agreed instantly.
Ewa really wanted to protest, but she was forced on her feet by Alex and Dom and quickly moved by them to the nearest group.
"Girls, do you want to join us for a little tour?" The tall captain asked the younger players, who exchanged some glances before accepting the offer.
When the girls were out of view, you received a text from your best friend.
Obi: taking your wife away before someone gets killed
You laughed at this and just asked her to let you know where they were going in case you wanted to join them.
"She was definitely staring." Merle said when you finally put your phone back in your pocket.
"I know, but she also knows that she doesn't have to worry about anything." You replied.
"Where's everyone?" Fenna asked when she noticed that a lot of players had already left.
"They decided to visit the city and maybe stop to eat something. We will join them later." Merle explained to the young striker.
"Vale, now tell us how you scored the goal against Arsenal last season. It was almost impossible to score from this angle." Nuria spoke this time.
You liked these two, first because they always spent all their time stuck around you, like you did with your big sister when you were younger, and also because, with Nuria now on the team, you were not the only Spanish player anymore. And you loved your teammates, but being able to speak in your native language with someone else was something special.
Something special that didn't get unnoticed by your wife. At first, she was happy to see you being a sort of big sister for the young Spanish player when she signed for Wolfsburg; she even found it cute. But with the months passing and the two girls getting more attached to you, it started to slightly make her jealous of not being your principal interest.
After a good walk, the girls decided to stop at a cafe and have a little pause. After the waiter took their commands, the whole table turned their attention to your wife, who had been pouting for a few minutes now.
"Can you stop acting like a child for a minute, please?" Feli said, making your wife pout even more.
"Come on, we all know that she will never think about anyone else except you." Lena tried to reassure her, but it seems that nothing worked, so the girls just gave up for the moment. A few minutes later, the food was served, and that's when you decided to show up with the girls.
Seeing that, Svenja decided to move some girls to give you a free seat next to the pouty player. A seat that gets quickly taken because, even in her current state, you missed your favourite girl.
Sensing that Ewa was not in a mood to be teased, you just distracted yourself by talking with the girls while you intertwined your little finger together. The little thing seemed to enlighten her mood a little, but not as much to make her openly happy about it.
After that, you all walked back to the hotel, where you sneaked out of the team with the striker to your room. It was one of the advantages to be a married couple, always sharing a room at every camp or game away.
In the room, you dragged her on the bed despite her protest and made her lay next to you. You stayed like this for a moment without saying anything, just staring at each other and sometimes smiling like idiots.
"So, will you tell me what's that about?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I don't know what you mean." She replied with a shy smile.
"Oh, so you're telling me you were not jealous?"
"Me, jealous? Come on, I have never been jealous."
The lie almost made you laugh, but you needed to keep your composure. "So you'll not be angry if I invite Merle, Nuria, and Fenna to watch a movie with us tonight?"
The mention of the names made her instantly lose her facade, and the look she was giving you meant a lot. "I think you forgot that this room is for Léon-Pajor only."
At this point, you finally laughed and showered her face with a lot of kisses.
"Seriously, kochanie (honey), I don't know why you need to spend all your time with them." Ewa said after you stopped.
"I don't spend all my time with them." You protested. "It's just that I just want to make sure they're good with their move and don't feel homesick."
"Fenna lived only a few hours of flight from Wolfsburg, and Nuria goes back to Barcelona as much as she can."
"Amor (Love), are you really being jealous of two kids right now?" You asked with a very surprised face. "I thought you were jealous of Merle, not of the kids."
"Why would I be jealous of Merle?"
"And why are you jealous of some kids?" Ewa just groaned and started to leave the room, but you stopped her before. "Hey, I'm sorry. Okay, I didn't know. Well, now that I'm aware of it, it seems more funny than I thought, but anyway."
"Can you stop making fun of me?"
"Sí, but can you just let me explain it?" When she didn't make any move to leave you again, you put her back on the bed and sat her on your lap. "Señora Ewa Léon-Pajor, amor de mi vida, no hay mujer en este mundo de la que estaría más orgullosa y feliz de llamar mía que tú. Puedes descansar en paz. Te amé, te amo, y todavía lo haré en el futuro. (Mrs. Ewa Léon-Pajor, love of my life, there's no woman in this world that I would be more proud of and happy to call you mine than you. You can rest peacefully. I loved you, I love you, and I will still do so in the future.)"
From your tone and your expression, Ewa knew you said something important but couldn't understand everything.
"I'm sorry, but I don't understand everything." She admitted shyly making you laugh a little.
"I said that you don't have to worry about anything because I love you, and I will still do it in the future." You briefly explained.
You saw her eyes start to get filled with tears, but her expression reflected everything but sadness.
"Ja też cię kocham, pani Léon-Pajor (I love you too, Mrs. Léon-Pajor)"
"Did I ever tell you that I love when you speak Polish?" You asked with a mischievous smile.
"Yeah, and you also told me that you love when I speak Spanish or German." She reminded you.
"You know what? I think I just love you." You commented, making her smile.
"And I love you too," she replied before finally giving you a proper kiss. You stayed in your room for a few more hours until it was time for dinner.
You joined the team with Ewa by your side and her arm around your waist, which earned a shocking look for your teammates and a thumbs up from Lena and Dom to the striker.
After you got your plate, you made your way to where Merle was seated, but you were stopped by your wife, who gave you a quick kiss on the cheek before going to sit with her previous group.
"I don't know what we did to deserve to see Ewa showing PDA in front of us, but I think we have to thank her for this cute moment." Alex commented loudly and earned a lot of applause from your teammates.
You watched your wife, who was trying to hide herself, until she finally met your eyes. You just smiled and blew her a kiss, which made her blush even more and made everyone laugh.
