In Chinese there is a saying: 躺着也中枪. It literally translates to “still getting shot even when laying down” but basically means “I wasn’t even doing anything and I got targeted anyways”. That is how I feel in this current moment.

let me give examples.

-italy bros are at the least gonna hit 2000 soon. Both are bumbling idiots who are more here to have a good time then anything. I'm convinced they're stronger then they make themselves to be (they caught England with a hole. Yes he dropepd in there but how did they get him into the cell? Venezianobbeat up Turkey once, too, and i think that was when turkey was stronger....and if you think about it, veneziano pretending to be an idiot means he can get away with everything. Literally. Even if he sneaks into a meeting room, him yelling about pasta is enogh to make the others go "ah hes at it again"

-China lmand the maid dress cosplay. Enough said.

-the Nordics, who are all over a thousnad and most are prob older. Denmark doesn't give a shit anymore, Norway goes along with everything becauae why not it's entertainment, Sweden is a memelord. Finland is probably a bit younger so he's a little more grounded, and so is Iceland- they follow the rest but i think they haave a bit more sense of not letting time just go by completely. -America and Canada are young and you can see it- they try to fit in with the rest but over or underdo it and are surprised at things like weekends passing by in a blink of an eye. Germany too, the three of them are babies and just don't quite get the joke sometimes, not for lack of trying.

-England is also up there and i mean. England and his brothers made up English TCG pokemon whatever

-france has long since accepted the idea of being a free spirit. He exists and contemplates and does his thing, knowing time will pass and he might as well try to do the little he can.

-we all know russia was hit one too many times by General Winter. Ukraine surprisingly seems to have her head, but Belarus definitely let the age get to her....just a little. I have a bet she's spent so long chasing Russia she doesn't really know how to stop.

-Poland also doesn't give a shit he just wants his ponies. Man's embraced modern life and decided to just take things as it goes. Lithuania would be dead from stressing at him if he wasn't immortal.

-japan is also pretty old but he is an outlier as far as im concerned becauae this man is a boomer whose besties are a bunch of gen Zs and he might as well be one of them. i think he's done better at the aging thing at least.

-not gonna touch on spain and olive oil. -or Austria's entertainment source being infuriating to his hosts and then marrying everyone.

-or Prussia who's kinda just gone awesome

-or Switzerland who saw the world as said fuck all lf you (cue the red cross) yall need therapy (adopts a sister) why am i the sane one here (puts up security cameras)

-and then ofc there's Greece, who long ago philosophiciEd tok hard and now knows the only things that matter in life are sleep, cats, and occassionally hanging iut with your best frenemy.

since I don’t have many people to talk about hetalia with, I come crawling back to tumblr. I would like to cosplay Iceland at Anime Expo this year. I mean, I’ve done Inumaki and Fushi before, I should honor my OG white-haired shy boy!

My sister is wondering who her fourth cosplay should be. I suggested she should be Norway. 🤣

sorry for not responding to this sooner, universe has tried to destroy me the last few weeks but i am stronger and i won. 8 - Who doesn't fold their socks? it's america for me. i think he folds them sometimes but he's also just kinda like Whatever about it. i mean i am american and i fold my socks, but going by vibe of this country as a whole, We Def Do Not. 9 - Favorite fan-made video? LORD okay gonna reveal my age here. i spent a ton of time on niconico (basically like japanese youtube) when i was first into hetalia in like 2007-2010 and there was a song/video meme of this high tension/low tension song, and someone did it with dennor and i Loved it. idk how the hell i would find it now. I also remember there being a lot of cool cosplay group videos back in the day, or actual model U.N. sessions at cons with hetalia cosplayers RPing their characters but with actual national policy stuff they tried to resolve Issues Somewhat Seriously (and as a former M.U.N. kid myself before i was a hetalia fan, i Loved that for us). just ain't the same as it used to be. 19 - Who owns the shittiest phone by choice? i had several immediate thoughts 1. austria because he's 1. fairly frugal and 2. he prob doesn't know what a jpeg is and 3. has better things to do. he just doesn't seem to be like a guy who super cares about technology that much and i can see him having the same phone he's had for ages as a result. 2. there is one version of america that has the latest iphone and trades his phone in constantly for the biggest and best phone on the market and is Tech Obsessed, but there is also another version of america that would have the crappiest phone whose protective case is duct taped together and the screen is terribly cracked and somehow it is still working even though it keeps flinging out of his pocket at violent speeds when he's doing donuts in a ATV. but honestly they are probably one and the same america. he keeps getting great new phones and then destroying them equally as fast. that sure does sound like some shit this country would do. 37 - Who has the most pets? depends on what you mean by pets since i think a lot of nations have some cool/significant relationships with animals, but those animals are not always officially Owned by them? like greece is around a lot of cats in canon, but are they His cats our just cats that are around him. is there a difference???? so i don't know. i will say i don't see norway owning any pets in modern day, personally, but i have reasons for that. 38 - Who needs a phat joint? fucking everyone. you know how hard it is to be a nation. the horrors they have witnessed over and over again. give them a break!!!!!!!!!!! if i have to choose one, it's ned, but not because i thinks he needs one more than everyone else. i just really want to be in a blunt rotation with the netherlands, but i also know that would probably Kill Me Instantly.

enough of this 'in as few words as possible' I want the entire history of how your music taste got where it is; i'll start.

so anyway I wasn't allowed to listen to anything besides gospel music (and even then only certain types) till I was like 11-ish. Despite that I was allowed to listen to disney music, so when I was 8 and heard Immortals by imagine dragons in big hero six I lost it. I listened to that song constantly it was always playing. Anyway, 11 year old me found out about the music app having a search bar, i had only ever been allowed to listen to things my dad had predownloaded into the library. So I found fall out boy, and imagine dragons and for months listened to nothing but them. Just me sitting in my room at midnight feeling like i was breaking rules listening to Sugar we're going down and radioactive. Then i found Bastille and 21 Pilots through finding the recommendations tab and then eventually MCR; and the Avril Lavigne And then uh, yeah my music kinda stayed there, it was mainstream pop-kinda-sorta-punk. But it was clean, i literally would not listen to a song that had a single bad word in it bc I don't say those words i'm a good kid. I listened to teenagers through a youtube clean cover like, i was so careful.

Anyway, my mother, the most awesome person i know and i'm not even joking I love her so much. Took me to Hella Mega Tour for my birthday bc I found out fall out boy was going to be there and convinced myself I was going to DIE if i did not see them live.

(Note my mom was 14 when green day got popular, she reasonably could have been listening to them as a teenager. Except that same year my moms parents joined the cult we were in and she was forbidden from listening to that type of music.)

back on topic, fall out boy finished I was PUMPED, i also had school the next morning and it was already getting late. So my mom told me "I've heard of this next band, but I don't really know any of their songs we can leave now if you want" I decided to stay, just to hear the first 2-3 songs and see if i had any interest, they started with American Idiot and halfway through the song it was decided the only way to get me out of that stadium while they were still playing would be kicking and screaming. Billie Joe Armstrong changed the trajectory of my life completely that night and he doesn't even know it.

after that it just kinda? spiraled? Royal & the serpent got me with hearing overwhelmed, Alkaline Trio with Calling All Skeletons, I started listening to Teenagers uncensored ik so scandalous. I found Grandson bc of a norway cosplay tiktok that used Blood//Water (no i'm not joking); and Sabaton bc of a hetalia fic about the winged hussars. My friend introduced me to Des Rocs recently, another friend Sueco, i don't actually remember how i found Ghost :\ And Daisy Grenade opened at the fall out boy concert I went to a few months ago and I love them now <3

And then i stumbled head first into folk punk due to a pinterest comment that referenced Ramshackle Glory, AJJ, Bitch & Animal, Mischief Brew my beloved. Folk punk is my moms least favorite genre i've gotten into. Then a guy told me if i like folk punk to check out Petey and now my favorite song like scream in the car after a bad day song is Pitch A Fit, it's so good man.

but anyway Fall Out Boy is still my favorite band bc they were the first band I ever listened to.

Ah I do Lithuania, hungary, norway, I’m working on Nyo prussia rn. Did nyo denmark once last year and I tried england but he didn’t turn out right. I’ve posted some cosplay from other fandoms here but not hetalia yet lol. I mostly post em on Instagram/tiktok

Does anyone remember that one cosplay group based in Sweden (I think?) from ye olde faradays of Hetalia fandom that made a series called the Nordics on YouTube that depicted like the history of the Nordics where every character spoke their respective languages even when in conversation with each other

It was the shit and I used to watch it religiously when I was in middle and high school. It was like unusually high production too like they had different environments like snowy forests and old castles that I think were actually local tourist spots and museums they filmed in, also real horses too it was so good

They also cosplayed Black Butler but when I looked for the series again a few years back all the videos were gone and I think they might’ve been deleted :( I was so bummed out those were my favorite cosplay videos ever in any fandom

I first enter to the countryhumans then a hetalia. I like both, both has a lot of bad and dark things.

But also both has a lot of very good things.

I like the difference like in hetalia there's only one Russia, and in Country humans there's Russia, USSR, Russian Empire etc.

I personally like country humans because you don't have a Canon or canon things, unless you count historical events as canon.

Or like you can design a country however you want because there is no canon design, there are common or stereotypical designs but not a canon one.

Personality, they're not a canon personality for the countries in countryhumans, there's common or stereotypical personalities.

You can say Russia is short guy with a very cute and innocent personality or whatever.

And and they're not canon ships. You can have historical ships, but you can ship Argentina x Norway and that's okay.

I'm not saying you can't do things like that in Hetalia, because you can just ignore all the canon and do whatever you want.

The Hetalia and Country humans are different like in Hetalia you only cosplay the anime characters, but I think is more difficult to cosplay country humans because flag in the face looks ugly so you need other things to represent the country you're trying to cosplay.

I like both, both are interesting.

Although I think I wrote a somewhat long opinion and perhaps I missed some points.

But this's my opinion.
