❥ seungcheol 

as much as i love cheol, i don’t think he’d immediately notice that he took the joke too far, mainly because of the fact that when he’s in the moment, surrounded by other people, you know - trying to be funny (maybe attempting on impressing others with his amazing joking skills), he’d be a bit too focused on the people surrounding him. it doesn’t change the fact that the second he notices you acting a tad bit off, he’s all over you asking you questions - if you are all right, if you want to leave, if you need food or water, his jacket etc etc. when he’d find out you were upset by his joke, oh - he’d be so so disappointed and angry with himself, truly. cheol would apologise, of course, and ask you if you needed space (it would break his heart if you said yes tbh, but he'd understand that). he just wouldn’t want to disappoint and hurt you even more.

❥ jeonghan 

jeonghan knows he can be quite petty and sarcastic at times, and his jokes can be taken ambiguously sometimes, especially when people don’t really know him and his humour. then again, he’d never tell a mean joke on purpose, he’s not mean like that, but sometimes his jokes do not come out as he means them to. it could take him some time to notice you being upset over his joke because after all you’re quite used to his sense of humour, so he’d never think that you could get upset over it. in his mind his joke is just a silly comment, he obviously doesn’t mean for it to upset you, god forbid. when he finds out you’re bothered by it though, he’d apologise in any way he could - he’d be extra attentive, clingy, and careful with you, but giving you space at the same time.

❥ joshua 

immediately feels so bad when he sees your expression fall after his bad joke. does not wait to apologise later or reflect on what he had just said - your visible sadness is enough for joshua to cradle your face in his hands and apologise, as sincerely as he can. even if you’re with friends or other acquaintances, he doesn’t care if people are staring or murmuring to each other, all he cares about is apologising. even if you’d forgive him, joshua would still be a bit more wary around you, making sure to give you space but at the same time still care for you and take care of you, because despite your words - he knew you were still a bit upset.

❥ jun 

wouldn’t be sure whether to pack up his things and move out of your apartment, bury himself under the sheets, or to bawl his eyes out. the worst part is when he doesn’t even realise that he upset you with his joke, because what do you mean that he made you sad and he proceeded to go about his day like nothing happened? HE DIDN’T KNOW, PLEASE FORGIVE HIM. it’s never, ever jun’s intention to make you upset (duh), and it makes everything so much worse - he’s the one who’s supposed to make you laugh, not sad. when he realises that he took the joke too far he’s not sure how to approach you, because if he could he’d apologise immediately, but then again - what if you hate him now?

❥ hoshi 

this man is the epitome of “saying before thinking”, and while he’d never tell a joke to offend someone on purpose, shit happens and not all of his jokes come off as jokes. he also gets easily distracted so it could take some time for him to notice you being upset, but at the same time he’s such a simp for you, so he’d either realise you were bothered by his comment an hour later or the second the joke left his mouth. would be the type to fall to his knees, hug your waist, bury his face in your stomach, and proceed with an at least hour apology because he feels that bad. his dramatic behaviour (and the even more dramatic apology speech) would make you laugh so hard, you’d forget about the joke in seconds. still, hoshi would be extra caring with you because no excuse could justify his joke that was lame and unfunny in the first place.

❥ wonwoo 

to be honest, i don’t see a world where wonwoo would take a joke too far, he’d notice you being uncomfortable before you’d even know you were upset by the joke yourself. BUT, if it (somehow) happened, his apology would come straight away. there is no way he’d be able to proceed with his day without apologising at least fifty times - he’s so in tune with your emotions, it’d be like he could feel you hurting because of the joke himself. wonwoo would feel very ashamed of even thinking, let alone telling such a joke, he’d feel very disappointed in himself, and he’d beat himself up for that for days.

❥ woozi 

would apologise immediately - jihoon doesn’t like bullshitting around stuff, there is no way he’d wait with apologising, not only because he doesn’t like getting into conflicts, but because you deserve that apology. it’s never his intention to upset you, and he wouldn’t be able to proceed with his day without saying something. like, what kind of boyfriend would he be if he didn’t? after incidents like those (not that they happen often), he’s a bit more cautious around you, making sure to not overstep any boundaries, and letting you have some space.

❥ dk 

not happening, sorry - there is no way seokmin would take a joke too far to the point of upsetting someone, especially you. no. freaking. way. he’d rather set his body of fire than make an upsetting joke. 

❥ mingyu 

there’s also a slim chance of mingyu taking a joke too far, he’s too good of a person to upset anyone with his jokes. if it happened, he’d immediately apologise, probably in one of the most dramatic ways ever - throwing himself on his knees, yapping about how sorry he is, and how he didn’t know how such a joke could even come to his mind, while he’s eyes would be screaming “FORGIVE ME PLEASE”. he would be so disappointed and angry at himself for saying the joke, like it would take him days to get over it, even if you said you forgave him. there’s just something about taking a joke too far and making your significant upset because of it that breaks mingyu’s heart.

❥ minghao    

he can be very blunt and petty, his humour is not for everyone, but that still doesn’t mean he’d upset anyone on purpose (unless that person is rude, then they get the full on xu minghao treatment). when he notices he took his joke too far regarding you, he’s kind of clueless on what to do next - it’s not like he can ignore the fact that he said what he said, and he feels so ashamed for making you upset, in fact - too ashamed to apologise immediately. all of his confidence and bluntness suddenly leaves him, because how is he supposed to keep his head high when he just made his significant other upset with a joke, he decided to think of and then say. 

❥ seungkwan 

our savage boo can be a tad too savage at times, and sometimes his remarks can be a bit upsetting. good thing is that he quickly realises when he oversteps the boundary of what is funny and what is not, so it wouldn’t take him much time to understand that you got genuinely upset over his joke. would take your hands in his, and with a lowered head (he’d be too embarrassed and ashamed of upsetting you to look at you), and try to apologise as sincerely as he could. seungkwan would make sure to give you some space, though it would break his heart - but he knew that that was what he had to do for you to forgive him completely.

❥ vernon 

vernon isn’t known for coming up with loud and bold jokes, so he immediately catches himself after telling the joke that clearly wasn’t a good one, especially because it was directed towards you. his first instinct is to watch you to see your reaction, he wouldn’t want to say anything right away, afraid that it would make the situation only worse. he’s very cautious when approaching you, he’d understand if you’d need some space, but at the same time he doesn’t want to wait with his apology, because he feels really, really bad. he's also really good at apologising - maybe taking the full accountability for a bad joke is the bare minimum, but then again finding the bare minimum is very hard lately.

❥ chan

chan is usually quite good at controlling what he’s saying, he’s very cautious of the emotions of the people around him, and how his words might affect them. sometimes shit happens though, and not all of his jokes come out as he’d wish them to. chan’s a simp and he’s a loser for you, so he’d catch on to the fact that he took his joke too far quite quickly, and wouldn’t know how to act. he just made you sad, no - he just offended you. his joke, his words made you upset, and that’s a complete failure of his boyfriend duties, because his jokes are supposed to make you laugh, not upset. wouldn’t know how to approach you, would try to apologise through acts of service.

•Toji’s gambling habit is often the source of your arguments, because holy shit this man can be incredibly irresponsible

•You’re the stable earner out of the two of you, Toji works sometimes, which means he takes some sort of a bounty and kills a sorcerer or two

•He doesn’t really ever come back hurt, which you tend to worry about, but when the money he earns is gone in a week, you’re pretty pissed

•It’s his money, yes, so he’s free to what he wants with it, but he really needs to contribute to rent and stuff

•Toji isn’t very good at arguing in a healthy way, because when you get pissed at him, he just mostly ignores you

•That’s the case with only money arguments though, if there’s something else he considers actually serious like him hurting your feelings, he will listen

•I’m going with money as the source of the argument though, so he can be a bit of an ass about that

•He just usually tells you “It’s my money ain’t it?”

•He then pulls you into his lap on the couch and just wraps his arms around you and rests his chin on top of your head

•It can be really frustrating sometimes, but even if he looks like he doesn’t listen, he always does

•So to make up for it, he always comes through with the money you need to pay rent or buy food, etc

•You don’t really want to know how he got the money, but he always does

•Gojo can be incredibly thoughtless sometimes

•He says things without thinking and hurts your feelings accidentally, or makes a joke that’s not in such good taste

•He’s not malicious, sometimes he just says something in the heat of the moment that he doesn’t really mean

•Gojo very rarely takes offense to anything you say, but if he does, he doesn’t tell you and just keeps it to himself

•So your arguments are usually because of something he says to you and then his hurt feelings end up coming out too

•Things tend to pile up with him, and he absolutely hates that you both have the tendency for that, because of what happened with Suguru and him not telling Gojo anything

•When you do end up arguing, it’s usually pretty bad, because things have been simmering for so long

•But you make it up to each other just as well

•The arguments themselves don’t last very long, but it usually ends with the silent treatment form both sides

•Gojo never lasts long with that though, he hates it when you’re angry with him and he’s always the first to break the silence

•He basically comes crawling back to you, apologizing

•You talk about it, and you always end up resolving what’s currently troubling you both, but Gojo especially has a tendency to go bit overboard with apologizing

•He wants to make sure you’re not upset with him, so he buys you gifts and is as affectionate as you allow

•Gojo can be really clingy, so he would basically just hover around you all the time and grab your waist or kiss you on the cheek, just do something where he can touch you gently

•It’s nice to be pampered and given affection, so you don’t mind

Klaus

...why I love them, like them or hate them.

Klaus. I have hated him, liked him and loved him at many, many points. Tbh, my issues on his character have evolved as I have matured. At the beginning, I was quite scared of him for Elena, and I definitely side eyed him a bit (despite that I was also like 🤔 at his scenes with Elena). But I think my perspective on him really changed after the whole Mikael thing and in 3x13 and especially 3x14. I think it was only then that I started to get a full sense of his character, and his loneliness.

I do think, as twisted as it is, I really became a full fledged fan in 4x09 after the hybrid massacre. That scene had an impact on me, and on rewatch, I caught hints of his loneliness within his psychopathy. In fact, by s4, I started rooting for him and was done with almost all TVD characters except him and a few.

So yeah, I hate him sometimes but I mostly love him (def get all 🥺 at his speeches about being left and all. I know his siblings hardly ever left him, for a variety of reasons, but it’s about how he felt or perceived it, and as such is important to his arc.)

...how I would have chosen to change their story from canon.

No, I wouldn’t change his story at all, except that he doesn’t die at the end 😐 True redemption is to live with all that you have done and actively try to be better (I don’t think Klaus got that.)

Maybe him and like….Kol or something 🥴 Joseph can have chemistry with a flower pot 🤷🏽‍♀️

I mean, I do like whenever Klaus is taken down a peg by someone, l’ll be honest. But I don’t think he was mistreated as such (at least not to the same level as Elijah or Elena or Bonnie).

In s2 of TO, Esther plans to put Rebekah in Cami’s body so Klaus and Rebekah plot against her. The plan gets derailed and Esther plans to put Rebekah in someone else and then destroy her original body, thus permanently taking away her vampirism. Klaus stops this and tries to offer himself in Rebekah’s stead. He makes the same decision in s4 to try and stop the Hollow.

...a headcanon I have about this character.

A headcanon for Klaus 🤔 This is going to be a sad one, but I think Klaus engaged in various forms of self harm. I think his daggering of his siblings is very much self destructive behaviour, but apart from that, I also think he must’ve hurt himself.

There are many reasons for this, but the main one is that he can heal. In the beginning, I can see it developing it as an insidious fascination; when Mikael hurt him previously, he would take weeks, even months to heal, so when he discovered his ability to heal, I think he might just be in awe at how quick he heals now, how superior he is, and how he can’t be hurt again.

Then, I think it must’ve grown into a pathological need. Anger issues could in theory, make him more prone to hurt himself when he was angry at himself, which developed into this habit of self harming.

Another sad one, when Klaus turned into a vampire, he healed fully from Mikael’s abuse (I’m convinced that human Klaus had fracture malunions, internal injuries, etc.)

I think I’ve already answered this above, but yes initial wariness, and then I loved him later on.

Elijah

...why I love them, like them or hate them.

I have loved Elijah since the moment I saw him in 2x08, and I was so upset that Damon killed him 🥺 was very happy that he was alive, and damn, that scene where he throws the coins through the window was amazing 😻 He’s just such a complex character, his guilt fascinates me, truly, as does his loyalty (which ultimately, lies with Klaus over everyone).

I think what I love most about him is that he can’t be put into a box. He’s not a villain, or a hero, he’s loyal to his family but he betrays them for Klaus, he’s loved two women with the same face, and is on his way to falling for the third, he puts Klaus’ redemption over everyone because as Klaus once says - Elijah thinks that if he can redeem Klaus, then he can redeem himself. Deep down, he knows what kind of a monster he is, and he attempts to hide it. His whole focus on appearance is so on point when I think about the three faces - the one he shows to others, the one to his family, and the one to himself. I thought that depiction was well done.

Ugh. The whole Haylijah break up in season 4 was pointless, and extremely detrimental to Hayley’s character. Honestly, I’d just have him end up with Gia (if not Elena), safe and fulfilled and meeting Klaus every 2 weeks. Also, no Elijah dying, and no Antoinette please (even though I haven’t seen season 5).

My headcanon for Elijah is that the Beast is not just his suppressed memories but his suppressed self. I think that he has something like dissociative identity disorder. I say ‘like’ because I refuse to make an armchair diagnosis, and because his memories were suppressed by Esther, so it’s not really a medical condition, more like a magical one. Nevertheless, I’m sure that the Beast is a separate persona. I highly recommend reading To Know The Sin Was Yours by @amandamonroe if you wanna explore this more.

I think, to start with, I’d get rid of the sire bond. That was a cluster fuck. I’d also make her have more scenes with Klaus and Elijah because she’s very fierce when she’s dealing with them.

She would absolutely not end up with Damon. Maybe she moves to Paris, becomes a writer and lives her best life.

Matt/Elena - I just cannot ship them, I could even take Damon and Elena post sire bond as long as it was addressed, but not Matt and Elena.

I think Elena was mistreated a lot by the writers, just because they had no idea what to do with her in s5. I mean, no wonder Nina left, they killed off Katherine, after blaming all of Damon's action on her, and turned Elena into a shrinking flowerpot. Not to mention that abhorrent traveller, doppelgänger soulmates storyline. (An alternative - very, very toxic Silas/Elena storyline where he fixates on her because of Amara would've been much better.)

Since these are long, I’m going to answer this in three parts!

Fandom

The moment in the story that I started shipping my OTP from this world?

Well, my OTP is definitely Klena, and I think I started shipping them in episode 11 of season 2. Elena goes to Slater’s apartment to send that message to Klaus - the doppelgänger is alive and ready to surrender. And 14 year old me was immediately like 😍🤭👀. After that, Klaus asking Elena to save a dance for him and all was just….loaded.

Like, even before they met, there were these vibes and I was just in love with them. The way he holds her at the sacrifice, their chemistry during the prank night episode, it definitely got to me. They’ve been waxing and waning in my mind since then.

My three favorite characters and why I love them so much.

The first is, of course, Elena. That very first scene in the cemetery where she’s writing in her diary had me hooked. I was so intrigued by her loneliness and her depression, someone I could identify with, who was so internalised. I’d always felt weird about being an introvert, and Elena was one of the first characters that I identified with. Now, after a decade, I can also identify with her grief, and it’s just that much more personal to me.

The second is Klaus. When he first came on the show, I wasn’t sure what to make of him. I def found him attractive 😅 but I thought there was more to him that I needed to see. I thought, multiple times “what an asshole”, but I could also recognise his loneliness and his fear of being abandoned, and they just resonated with me. By s4 of TVD, I was already in love with him, and followed him onto TO. (That was for Elijah too 🤭)

And third, I think, is Cami. I loved Cami, I saw her as this girl trapped in darkness, and trying to find her way out, until eventually she didn’t want to find a way out anymore. It was nice to see someone who was somewhat ordinary getting trapped between these vampires. The beginning of her relationship with Klaus is so fascinating to me, like she obviously sees him as a tortured soul, while he is actively hurting her through his mind control. But she fights back, and she’s tenacious, she’s probably one of the few people who fights against Klaus’ compulsion and then gets out of it. Refuses to play by his games but also plays him sometimes to get what she wants. Her struggle with vampirism was so, so real, and both her deaths were the saddest I’ve seen in that universe.

Which scene I would like to erase from the universe and why.

Ugh, the entire torture episode. Where Damon and Stefan (the saviours 🙄) both torture Elena to turn her humanity back on. Get Katherine to help too, just disgusting. That episode shows just how much internalised misogyny some of the show runners themselves held.

Which character I would choose for the chopping block if I knew the writers wanted to kill someone?

Probably Matt. Like, I like him well enough, but after a certain point, what does he even bring to the table?

The world-building aspect of the story I have the greatest admiration for.

The Originals for sure! I absolutely love s3 of TVD but s2 is so fucking good. The build up is amazing, first we’re introduced to Isobel, then that Katherine entry (like damn), just when we think she’s the baddest, Elijah shows up and scares the fuck out of Katherine.

And then, this intense build up to Klaus and sun and moon curse, only for us to learn that it was all fake, and to know about the real curse. It’s just…. Brilliant storytelling. Like yes, there are loopholes, and it’s the CW, but it’s just so well paced. I’ll be honest though, once the originals show up, it feels like we go into a different level. So much of the credit for that goes to Daniel and then Joseph, they were both brilliant, and they brought something unique to their roles that made us want to see them more. They elevated every scene they were in and Paul, Nina and Kat were the only ones who could keep up imo, at least in terms of screen presence.

The perfect number of books/seasons/movies needed to tell this story properly.

I think 4-5 seasons were more than enough. I’m not a fan post s4 (and s4 hangs on by a thread).

Lover’s Lake used to be your favorite place. A sanctuary, a small patch of peace in the eventful town of Hawkins. It used to be.

Now, the lake was a darkness, a place that housed a gate to the dimension that wouldn’t leave you and your friends alone. It caused fear, panic.

You had just jumped in after Steve, watched him in pain, tried to patch him up as best you could in a dirty place like the Upside Down. You fought alongside him and the others and you made it out. The gate in Eddie’s trailer your saviour.

Now, you were in the silence of Steve’s house with him, the rest of the crew at the Wheeler’s. The whole drive home was spent in silence, neither of you wanting to start the conversation in the car when you know it would be emotional, tough.

You took turns showering and changing, brushing your teeth and getting ready for bed. The quiet remained, the two of you moving around each other without crossing paths.

You were sitting on the bed when Steve came in, fresh bandages on his stomach and more in his hand so you could get his back. It was a wordless ask, something he knew you’d do for him, and you did. Still without speaking, you patched him up yet again, your hands shaking and eyes watering at the scrapes on his skin.

The scrapes sure to become scars that you knew would always be a reminder to him of that day, of the fear.

“Why would you come after me?”

Steve was the one to break the silence once you finished with the bandages and he’d turned to face you. He seemed upset, angry almost.

“How couldn’t I, Steve? Are you serious?”

Realistically, he knew that he would’ve done the same for you without hesitation, but he hated the fact that you put your life at risk to save him. He couldn’t stand the idea of losing you, even if the risk was for him.

“Yes, I’m serious! You can’t just do that. You almost died.”

“You almost died! Look at your stomach, Steve. You’re hurt. I couldn't just stay in that boat and wait, you know that.”

“Yeah, well, you should have.”

“Should have stayed back? And let you get torn apart by those.. those bats? What the fuck, Steve. No.”

It was a stupid argument, one born out of fear and an adrenaline crash that left you both reeling. It was the aftermath of a traumatic experience that would haunt you forever, one that wasn’t even over. You both knew that, but it didn’t stop the volume from getting higher, the words from getting harsher.

“Yes. Do you have any idea what could’ve happened to you? I can’t protect you from it all, don’t you get that?”

“I don’t need you to protect me all the time, Steve! I can take care of myself.”

“No!” he didn’t mean to slam his hand down onto his desk so hard, he didn’t mean for it to be so loud. He definitely didn’t mean for you to flinch. No, it killed him to see it.

Your reaction wasn’t out of fear of Steve, or what he did. It was a loud noise and your body had been on edge ever since you got to that damn lake. It didn’t help that your eyes were watering too.

Steve walked over to you slowly, carefully, his hands outstretched to try and hold your shoulders, your face, anything. You shied away from him, embarrassed to be crying after being yelled at like a child. He took it as another flinch, though.

“Baby?” His voice was softer, almost silent compared to the previous volume of it all. He felt awful, like he’d made you even more afraid when all he wanted to do was keep you safe. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”

You wiped at your cheeks, “no, it’s okay. It’s fine.”

He was frowning, almost like he was going to cry, too.

“It’s not. I made you cry. I scared you. Oh god, I’m so sorry.”

“No, Steve. Can you look at me?”

He obeyed, his eyes locking onto yours, both wet and teary and apprehensive because you didn’t want it to escalate again. You loved each other and things got intense and it was scary. That was all.

“I’m crying because I’m scared. I’ve been scared. The minute you jumped into that lake alone I was terrified. Don’t you understand you’re not the only one who can’t lose the other?”

Your tone was softer now, trying to bring him back to you, to get him to listen. He sat on the edge of the bed beside you, slowly like he was trying not to spook you. He left too much space between you, and your hand reached out to sit in the middle. An invitation, an olive branch.

“No. No, I don’t- I can’t be left without you, okay? You, you’re brilliant. You’ll survive without me, you will.”

“Steve.”

He had to look at you again then, because he knew that when you said his name that way it was serious. Steve never felt like he meant a lot to anyone, his parents absent, his friends assholes. Now, he had a family, one he needed to keep safe because he knew what it was like to go it alone.

“You don’t have to be everyone’s protector all of the time. You’re incredible at it, sure, but you’re not alone. Do you hear me? You’re not alone.”

“I’m sorry. For scaring you, for yelling.”

“You didn’t scare me, Steve. You couldn’t if you tried.”

“I just can't lose you, and when you jumped in after me I thought- I thought that I would, and it’d be my fault.”

It broke your heart to hear him talk about himself as if he wasn’t a valued person. As if his death wouldn’t have as large of an impact as yours. You knew about his parents, about everything, but you hated hearing it. You hated that he didn’t see himself how you did.

The best boy you’d ever known. Caring and sweet even when he doesn’t know it. Because it was simply in his nature.

“Steve, just because you can do something alone, doesn’t mean you should. We’re all here to help, for you, for the kids, everyone.”

“I’m really sorry.”

“I’m sorry, too.”

“You shouldn’t be.. I’m just scared. Of everything.”

“Me too. But we can be afraid together, okay?”

“Okay.”

You went to sleep together, holding tight and knowing the battle was far from over, that more arguments in the midst of it all could arise. It didn’t matter then, because you had each other.

OKAY so on the topic of Star Wars takes wrt “character ends up in an A/B/O universe where they’re an omega, but they were previously a cis male in their canon”

So, obviously, Anakin would make a good omega and he’s also incredibly murdery. Foregone conclusion that we're using him for this.

There is no preexisting Anakin in the Omegaverse. He shows up JUST as the war is starting. Canon timeline is in the third year of the war (he’s 22), but whatever dumped him into omegaverse also tossed him back a few years. No de-aging, just a bit of mismatched timeline stuff.

He's... really good at war, and clearly a Jedi, so the Temple just kind of goes "WELL OKAY THEN, SURE, YOU'RE IN, EVERYONE PRETEND HE'S BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME." The Jedi, by and large, don't care about omegaverse dynamics beyond 'what do you need, medically, to be happy and healthy' and 'what do you need to be aware of so you can be prepared for biases you encounter in the field?’

None of the civilian natborns (mainly politicians) want to put him on the field because of those biases. Anakin, being Anakin, is VERY blatantly an omega in scent, has never been on suppressants (because it wasn't a thing he fucking NEEDED), is incredibly emotional as a person, loves kids, etc.

Like, nobody wants an omega fighting a war anyway, but THIS one is like PINNACLE omega, and those awful Jedi are making him FIGHT just because he's good at stab!

The Jedi: Actually, it's because he's got several years of war experience that we don't, and he's a good tactician that works well with the clones-- Coruscant: You MONSTERS The Jedi: Look, we gave him the option to not stab and he looked absolutely devastated. Anakin, several days earlier: You don’t want me? I’m not good enough??? Jedi: Also he can beat up at least half the temple.

He doesn't know a damn thing about dynamics, but he DOES know that sometimes he's so horny he wants to stab HARDER. The clones are largely disinterested in their generals' dynamics because between mostly-Mando* trainers and no-dynamic Kaminoans, they only really care if a person can shoot.

* Mandalore approves of Fighty Omegas. As far as (traditional) Mandalore is concerned, you want an omega that will kill the threats to your children as well as you do.

Anakin: You know more about being an omega than I do. Rex: ...I'm an alpha. Anakin: Yeah. Let that one sink in a bit.

We have two options for Obi-Wan!

Omegaverse local Obi-Wan (beta) has never met this man before, and is very unnerved that the immediate default reaction Anakin has to his presence is releasing Family pheromones as if Obi-Wan is his DAD and like. This strange, too-tall man from another dimension has got absolutely NO control over what he projects in the Force OR in his dynamic.

Obi-Wan was ALSO transplanted from canon to omegaverse, and is also an omega, for contrast reasons. He is nice and friendly and and likes poetry and that sort of thing... but also he has the highest dismemberment count in the movies. Also he doesn’t prioritize romance.

We went with the second one because it's hilarious.

Someone watching them spar: Wow, omegas from that universe are terrifying.

As previously mentioned, now with some tweaking to account for both: Obi-Wan and Anakin just straight up don't exist until they drop headfirst into the council room, already covered in blood. (It's mostly not theirs.)

Nobody realizes either one is an omega until they "naturalize" to this dimension and Anakin goes into heat... and doesn't realize it, actually, because his primary symptom is heightened protectiveness and aggression. Everyone else with the right nose realizes, because the man has no control over his pheromone production, but Anakin? No. He just stabs. He’s angry and horny and he will cut someone.

Ahsoka has no reaction to human pheromones but basically everyone smells Anakin's "my child!" reaction to her, so... Cool. Have a padawan, we guess.

Anakin ends up sparring a lot with Aayla and Ahsoka, because only humans and near humans have dynamics, so these two don't REACT to the pheromones situation.

(Palpatine is a Kindly Old Beta who tries to treat Anakin the way he EXPECTS Anakin wants to be treated, which is. Not. Accurate.)

I'm just so in love with "An omega can't fight." "You wanna fuckin' bet?"

There are plenty of omega Jedi, by the way, it's just... most of them can keep it relatively low-key instead of Anakin's jet-engine broadcast. Some, if they're known to be omega, probably take advantage of being underestimated, like Obi-Wan probably (and especially a version of Obi-Wan that was always an omega, unlike this version). They have a very different way of presenting themselves than Anakin, who's not subtle about being an omega and also not subtle about being all aggressive and stabby.

At one point, Anakin has to protect some Very Traditional Individuals who get all "Stay back, Omega, it's not safe!" and he's just... so tired of this shit. “You are squishy civilians and I'm a trained Jedi Knight and accomplished GAR General who's killed more people in one sitting than there are in this entire palace. Sit the fuck down and let me do my job.”

It starts making the rounds that Anakin insisted on fighting in person, and the rumors shift from "how dare the Jedi force an omega to fight" and over into things that are deeply hurtful in-universe in the vein of "broken omega" and some people try to say it to his face but like...

He didn't grow up here.

He doesn't care.

Say that to one of his friends and he's going to rip out your spleen, probably, but say it to him and he's just staring at you flatly and asking if that's a negative on getting away from the encroaching battle droids, sir?

"You're rather unpleasant for an omega, aren't you?" [deeply offensive] "I literally could not give less of a fuck about your opinion. Move."

It's not that there aren't omegas that act like Anakin, either, it's just that most of them aren't, you know, Jedi who regularly interact with the upper crust, or capable of his level of destruction. Unbeknownst to Anakin, everyone clocks him as Outer Rim based on his behavior, well before his accent gives him away, and certainly before he mentions he's from Tatooine, because Core Omegas Don't Act Like That.

Someone they meet in a more diplomatic setting says something decently passive-aggressive about how at least Obi-Wan acts more like how an Omega should. Then a battle breaks out for some reason, and... well. Anakin and Obi-Wan cause such a scandal by keeping score of kills in a battle, don’t you know?

Turns out sending Anakin to fight Ventress is great because she keeps expecting him to react a certain way but NO he's here to STAB.

I like the idea that Obi-Wan's favorite opponent these days is Grievous because the cyborg doesn't have a nose, and thus gives zero fucks about dynamics or heats. Dooku is a rich old man who has opinions heavily influenced by Sith Juice Making Him More of a Dick, and the Dathomiri can smell dynamics even if they don't have them, and so they have biases about those things. Meanwhile, Grievous is just there to Kill, and Obi-Wan genuinely appreciates the lack of commentary on his dynamic.

Dooku’s probably an alpha, or a beta who's used the whole "we are more level-headed" thing as one of several angles to keep himself the public face and supreme commander of the CIS.

On to more fluffy things that have less to do with political biases.

There's a lot of "I'm upset that my loved ones don't know me," but also please understand the appeal of Obi-Wan marching up to Quinlan like "Yes, hello, I understand you've been read in on the full situation behind myself and my former padawan. I was close friends with your alternate universe self, which I feel is necessary disclosure before I propose the following: Would you like to join me for my upcoming heat, as I have minimal experience with the dynamics situation and even fewer people I actually trust, and I believe I can put my faith in you to treat it as casually as necessary while still having control and respect for my person."

(The Team is in a fairly safe place to process stuff, but having sudden unexpected changes to your biology has gotta be a little traumatizing, on top of ending up in a universe where none of your friends know you and people have a whole host of unfamiliar forms of sexism to point at you.)

Obi-Wan, who wasn't quite touch-averse but was much more easily overwhelmed by physical contact than Anakin (who craved it), suddenly finds his body switching gears and insisting on cuddles with Trusted Loved Ones, which is.... mostly Anakin, on account of nobody else really knowing him yet. Also Ahsoka, who is aware that she's something of a replacement for her alt-universe self, but Anakin explained it as "I love you so much no matter which dimension I'm in or what you're like, and I'd like to get to know you the way I got know her."

(It's rather eloquent for Anakin. He got Obi-Wan to help him draft up the script for when he pitched taking on omegaverse Ahsoka as a padawan.)

Anakin gets a more intensely sexual heat than 'usual' at one point for Reasons (IDK it could be as innocuous as 'we got better food than the usual rations and my body is reacting to the higher fat content with the belief that it's safer to have a baby now'), which nobody takes a whole lot of notice of because they're in a WAR, and also this is only his fourth one so it's not like he's got a lot to compare it to... except then the predominantly alpha clones can't stop themselves from reacting to the pheromones, mostly by wandering past his door and asking if he needs anything, offering up alpha-scented blankets and stuff for the nest to soothe the hormones, bringing snacks and electrolyte drinks, and like, Anakin is flattered, really, but fuck off please.

(He got a warning from medical a few hours before it hit that it would be different, so he actually does have alpha-scented fabrics to help him out. Apparently that's a thing you can just ask friends for, so he asked Rex if he had anything on hand that he could spare. He now has one of Rex’s recently-used sheets and a bodyglove in the nest.)

(Anakin has no idea how to feel about the nesting instinct, but at least it’s warm.)

Listen. I'm not saying I've been low-key imagining this as Rex being a very subby alpha who's really into Anakin's whole Thing but...

At one point Anakin gets injured in a way that requires painkillers and he ends up whining to the point of almost crying about the fact that nobody is cuddling him right now in medbay and Kix just gives up and comms Ahsoka to come hug her weird older brother.

Rex ends up in the pile somehow. He came over to check on Things and ended up yanked in by half-asleep, half-high Anakin, who has a grip like an octopus and no impulse control and is purring like a pod motor while NUZZLING HIM.

There’s a lot of blackmail photos featuring Rex’s very intense blush as he’s cuddled by his commander (giggling at him) and general (clinging like a tooka and rubbing himself all over).

Anakin is deeply offended that ANYONE thinks he'd want to get pregnant by just any old person, NO he needs to fall in LOVE there needs to be EMOTIONAL DRAMA and if Padme won't have him (apparently she's in a relationship and no he's not BITTER) then he'll find someone else to have a whirlwind romance with!

People think Anakin's a slut because he can't control his pheromone production (he has NO practice and for health reasons he can't go on suppressants) so he always smells open and ready for flirtations, which Obi-Wan also has to a somewhat lesser degree (he's older so his body just naturally produces less), and then someone tries to cross a boundary and grabs his ass and ANYWAY Anakin has to now fill out an incident report for breaking a civilian's arm.

You woke up irritated, body aching slightly and adjusting to your upcoming period. You pick at your food, tapping your foot angrily as you listen to every chat. A good 1000 students talking was enough to give you a headache... or at least add onto the one you already had. The littlest sounds, like a fork scraping against the plate, sent you into a fit of rage and you snapped at Remus.

"We get it, the book’s good," you say, staring deep into your plate. Remus let his mouth hang open, mid sentence before closing it. The boys gave you a look, James trying to quickly figure out what the problem was. “…uh, something bothering you? No need to snap at Remus,”

“No need to snap at Remus,” you mocked, James eyebrows scrunched as he made a confused expression. Peter, who sat beside you, had his eyes slanted as he tried to figure out what your issue had been. “James wasn’t trying to-“ Peter had started, But you quickly cut him off.

“Peter, why don’t you just mind your business?” You question, you never had been mean to Peter, not as much as you joked around with the others. This banter confused Peter, and he looked away and bit the inside of his cheek.

“Hey now, don’t get bitchy,” Sirius tuned in, James had sucked in a breath as Sirius uttered the phrase. The boys stayed quiet, even Sirius knew he had said something wrong. You dropped your fork to the plate, it clanked loudly. You stood up, grabbed your bag roughly as the chair scraped against the floor from your quick movement.

“_____, love,” Peter began, trying to clear the miscommunication up with what Sirius had said. You waved him off, eyes glaring around at each of them. Remus had begun to shift awkwardly, not liking the tension, while Sirius had tried to stutter out that he didn’t mean it. James was a bit flushed, hating the anger that was now appearing. Peter had lost his appetite.

You pondered what to say, mouth slightly opened to spew out some insult but you felt ridiculous and teared up slightly. The boys just looked at you, not knowing what to say and somehow that made the situation worse.

“Why don’t you just fuck off,” you rushed out, not really knowing who that was directed towards. Before any of them could get a word in, you had walked quickly out of the dining hall.

“Why’d you say that?” Peter was the first to ask, Sirius feeling attacked over his words. “Well she was being bitchy, Peter you need to stop being such a coward and stick up for us once in awhile,”

“Pads,” James called, Peter rolling his eyes. Sirius snapped his head around, looking at each of them. “Well I’m right! She was making Moony feel bad,”

“She wasn’t making me feel bad,” Remus sighed, and Sirius shook his head and began to get a bit angry. “Yes she was, she had no right to start acting the way,”

“I don’t think we need to focus on what she said, we need to know why she acted that way,” James said, rubbing a hand over his chest. “Did she fail a test or something? Did she mention anything that was bothering her?” He pondered to them.

Everyone shook their heads, they all were confused on why you had acted that way. They had completely forgotten about your period. You never acted so vile on your period, you usually just acted the same. Yet they forgot to realise that not every period was going to be the same and emotions were heightened.

“Maybe Snape said something,” Peter thought, and Remus nodded his head. “True, I did hear that they got partnered for a project in herbology,” Remus said, and all of the boys sorta grumbled at the thought of you working with Snape.

“Yeah if I was partnered with him I’d be bitchy,” Sirius said, nodding his head like he understood now. James hit Sirius on the back hard, and Sirius shot him a look. “Stop referring to her as a bitch,” James said, upset. He never liked the degrading words used against you, there were much better words to phrase your reaction.

“Alright alright,” Sirius said in surrender, feeling guilty now for upsetting you further. Remus stayed quiet, he wasn’t upset about you snapping at him, he was upset at the fact that you felt the need to snap at him.

Peter felt wiry, he didn’t like when you were upset. He always felt like he was to blame, especially since you were always so loving. He decided to go check on you, not liking the tears he had seen in your eyes.

“Where are you going?” Remus asked, he knew exactly what Peter was intending to do but he just wanted confirmation. Sirius and James were deep in conversation, planning on pranking Snape to make you feel better (they had confirmed the issue was Snape, before even asking you what was truly wrong).

“I’m gonna go check on her,” Peter said, cleaning his plate as much as he could as he stacked the dirty dishes together. “I’ll come with,” Remus said, sitting up and Peter took Remus's plate and stacked it with his. “We’re going to go check on her,”

Sirius piped up, standing up before Remus sat him back down with a hand to his shoulder. “Not you, not yet,” Remus told him, and Sirius pouted.

Remus and Peter walked out of the dining hall, and Sirius and James conversed about the prank.

“I don’t think it’s Snape,” Peter said, and Remus nodded. “No, me neither,”

“I just can't figure out what it could be,'' Peter sighed, looking down halls and out windows to see if he could spot you. Remus nodded, sighing as well.

They stayed quiet for a bit, Peter more hyper fixed on finding you (Remus felt the same, but was much better at hiding his worry). Peter stopped, looking over at Remus. “You know she didn’t mean it,” Peter told him and Remus nodded.

“I know, I’m not mad at her,” Remus spoke, and Peter nodded like Remus had. “And you know she didn’t mean to snap at you, it’s not your fault she’s irritated,” Remus said, knowing Peter's thoughts.

Peter nodded, though half doubted it as they continued on their look for you.

Peter and Remus hadn’t found you, they had arrived late to transfiguration, Professor McGonagall gave them an eye and told them to sit.

“Where is she?” Sirius asked, James listening in as he leaned closer to where Remus and Peter sat in front of them. Next to James, was an empty seat. Sirius sat opposite of the empty seat.

“Couldn’t find her,” Remus said, James grew worried.

“We will look at the map later,” he said, reassuring the group but it was more for reassuring himself. They all nodded, trying to focus on class, yet they kept wondering about the thought of you.

“No I’m worried,” Sirius said after a while, Remus looked behind them as Peter bit at his nails. “Pads it’s alright; she’s fine,” James stated, but Sirius doubted him.

“You don’t know that, what if what I said made her upset!” He whispered, and Remus turned back around and let James handle Sirius.

“She’s not like that, she was clearly irritated before you talked with her, she’s probably just having a bad day,” James tried to make up any safe possible scenario, he didn’t want to think about dreadful things.

“But-“ Sirius said, and Peter whipped around. “Just shut up Sirius, alright? We will find her after class,” he grew irritated and Sirius grumbled and stayed quiet.

They had found you quickly with the help of their invention, but you had put up a wall and just shrugged them off.

“Baby, listen if it’s about what I said this morning,” Sirius began, but you continued to look down at your open book. The library was quiet before, and students listened in to hear the drama of the group.

“Can you just go away? I can't read when you’re talking to me,” you said, mouth in a frown. Remus was the first to realize you really did just want space and he decided it was best to let you get over your irritation, but convincing the rest of the boys was the hardest part.

“She just wants to read guys, come on,” Remus said, grabbing Sirius arm to pull him away from hovering over you (which Peter had noticed was pissing you off). James stayed in place, so did Peter.

“She can’t skip class Remus,” James said seriously, looking down at you as you continued to stare at your book, not sparing a glance at them.

“_____,” James warned, reaching out to hold your shoulder gently and you twitched and removed his hand from your shoulder. “You can't skip class love,”

“Fuck off, you never give Peter or Sirius any shit for skipping,” you scoffed, and James began to get a bit irritated with your rude behaviour.

“Yes I do-“ James was quick to defend himself, and you rolled your eyes.

“Can you seriously fuck off? Like what do you not get about me wanting to be alone? That doesn’t mean I want you around,” you snapped at him, turning around and glaring. “All of you need to fuck off,”

They stayed quiet, looking at you again such as how they did this morning. James stepped back, “alright,” he said, walking out of the library as Sirius followed behind with a grumble.

“We will see you at lunch?” Remus asked and you just ignored him. He decided to follow behind Sirius and James.

Peter stayed, weight going between each foot as he swayed back and forth. You looked over at him, an eyebrow raised as you waited for him to leave, he didn’t.

“I want you to leave,” you said, staring at him like he was incompetent. Peter shrunk slightly against your harsh gaze. “I know what you want,” Peter said, “but don’t you care what I want? What we want?”

“I don’t owe you sex,” you scoffed, misinterpreting what he meant. Peter shook his head, “No, you don’t. that’s not what I meant,”

“What could you possibly mean then?” You asked, huffing. Peter sat down beside you and you slid your chair away. Didn't you get that they were worried?

“What’s wrong,” he asked, “how can I make it better?” He felt completely hopeless. You just shrugged, the wall you had blocked them with slowly falling a bit. But then you remembered that they didn’t even know why you were upset, how could they even forget you had a period? The fury built back up again, all they cared about was themselves. It was always Remus's monthly, never yours.

“You can make it better by fucking going away,” you swore, and Peter did just that.

Two days went by, without much effort to talk to the boys. They all tried their hardest to catch your attention and make you feel better, yet their proposals were quickly dismissed.

James had got you many gifts, him and Sirius even snuck into Hogsmeade to get you sweets from honey dukes. You took the sweets, but dismissed them entirely.

Remus tried to talk to you about the books you had been reading, but you told him you weren’t interested in talking with him and left.

Sirius got frustrated pretty easily with not being able to hold hands with you and locked you in the broom closet with him. James had found him an hour later, knocked out.

Peter followed you around, you found many flowers left in your dorm. You had received about 10 letters from him, each every morning, before your first class, during lunch, at dinner, and before you went to bed. You had read them, cuddling with your blankets.

On the third day, you wanted attention and affection. Cramps had made you emotional, you just wanted some attention from your boys. But when you had sat by them at the table, hand going to hold Sirius’s, he had pulled it away from you. You frowned, trying again but he pulled it away. You knew something was wrong, even this morning you haven't received a good morning letter from Peter.

“So what, you think you can just come hang out with us and think nothings wrong?” James asked you, they had all grown irritated with your behaviour. You yourself hadn’t really noticed the way you had been treating them.

“What do you mean?” You asked confused, looking between each of them as they laughed. You felt hurt, knowing they were making fun of you. You tried to hold Peter's hand but he was too quick and pulled it away before you could even touch him.

“You wanted to be left alone,” he reminded you. Remus nodded his head, “you even ignored all of our gifts,” James said, and Sirius laughed and made a joke.

“I didn’t want gifts,” you told them, “when have I ever asked for gifts?” You continued, and they became quiet. Had you been rude to them?

You began to think over the last few days, some things you had done were questionable but it was justified. Couldn’t they see you were emotional?

Did they even care? Of course with these thoughts, your brain forgot to realize all the attempts they made, all the worrying they felt, all the times they talked in private and grew concerned for your well-being.

“You kept snapping at us, you can’t just be rude to us for no reason and then expect us to be okay with it, you don’t get cuddles _____,” James told you firmly, but you tilted your head, you began to get angry again.

“Nevermind,” you snapped quickly just as they were about to argue with you. You got up, saddened that you couldn’t get the affection you wanted. You left, heading to herbology.

The first class, along with the banter from this morning, ruined your whole day. You had to work with Snape, already in a bad mood.

He had been pretty quiet, so had you, only talking to each other about the project and what was necessary. It was all going fine until the end of the class, when he had said something that made you feel terrible.

“You and the Marauders hadn’t been hanging out recently, I guess they came to their senses that you weren’t really worth it,” he began, who knew why he had said it, but it was enough to trigger some deeper emotional rage. You screamed at him in the hallway, completely losing it at him. At some point, both your wands had been drawn and just before something bloody happened, the professor had stopped it. You had been given detention and since you had been the one that had started the duel, Snape got off scot free.

The Marauders had heard about what happened and what made it worse is that they didn’t try to find you. You passed by James and Sirius in the hall, hoping to talk to them and get all of the anger out about what Snape had said. But they just said a simple “we don’t really want to talk to you right now,”

You watched them walk down the hall, they hadn’t wanted to know if you were okay? They were always curious about any drama revolving around Snape.

You had cried in the bathroom, moaning myrtle was the only one who cared enough to ask you what was wrong. You felt pathetic relying your emotions on a ghost that lives in the bathroom, but it was somehow comforting listening to her weep along with you.

Maybe Snape was right, maybe they did come to their senses.

After detention, you passed by the Gryffindor portrait. You had debated for several minutes if you wanted to go see them and finally the fat lady decided to just let you in and told you a “Stop weeping outside my door, I have a date soon and you’re going to ruin it, go in go in,”

You had climbed up the steps, you were going to leave once you reached their door, but it was already open with James waiting for you.

“We saw you on the map,” he said once he noticed you were confused. “Oh,” you said, you looked completely drained and James showed a soft remorse that made you crumple.

“Shh it’s okay,” he comforted, bringing you close as you shakily sighed into his chest. Your arms came to wrap around him, lips trembling as you started to cry. “Let’s get out of the hallway,” James told you, leading you into their dorm as he closed the door for privacy. Your face still buried in his chest, weeping uncontrollably as Sirius sat up from his lying position at the sound.

Peter and Remus piped up as well, as Sirius walked over and took you in his arms. He glared at James, thinking he did something.

“What’s wrong baby?” Sirius whispered gently, guiding you over to the bed as he sat you down on James bed. “It hurts,” you say, not giving much context as they all look at you confused, high in alert and they felt guilty for ignoring you in this state.

“What hurts?” Remus asked, Peter and him had come to stand close as James sat down on the other side of you. James pressed the back of his hand to your forehead, “she doesn’t feel warm,” he told them.

“Love what hurts?” Peter repeated, you sniffled and tried to calm down enough to tell them what was wrong. “My period,” you choked, you thought they had realised by now. The boys became aware quickly that that’s what had been making you upset the past few days.

“You’re periods don’t usually make you this emotional,” James questioned and you scoffed but they decided to let it slide.

“They aren’t always the same,” you told them, wiping your eyes as your uterus twisted again. You let out another sob, you didn’t want to go through this alone.

“I’m sorry dove, we should’ve realised sooner,” Remus said, crouching down as he took you in his arms. You curled yourself into him, he picked you up and switched so he was the one sitting down.

“Snape said something,” you sniffled, face resting in Remus's neck as your nose brushed up against his neck. They all became a bit angry, not liking the sound of that.

“What did he say?” James asked, rubbing your back. You took a moment to try and phrase it, it felt embarrassing to admit that his words had worried you. “He said… that the reason you guys were ignoring me was because you came to your senses,”

“Senses to what?” Peter asked, they all had been confused. “That you didn’t like me anymore,” you whimpered the words, tears welling up again. Their hearts stopped for a second, squeezing so tight they all thought they would pass out. James was angry with himself and Snape. James and Sirius felt horrible for ignoring you right after what Snape had said, they didn’t want to prove his statement.

“That fucking bastard,” Sirius fumed, standing up but peter pushed him back down. “She needs us, going off and throwing a few punches won’t do any good,” he whispered and Sirius looked over at James, but James only agreed with Peter. “Not right now,” he mouthed before they pulled their attention back to you.

“We’re so sorry,” Remus coo’s, rocking you gently as you cry into his neck. They all feel pity and a sense of guilt. “So sorry,” you tell them, feeling horrible for snapping.

“You don’t have to apologise,” James assures, rubbing your hair as he pulls it away from your soaked face. “we didn’t know, that’s on us,”

“I didn’t tell you,” you cried, “I was so mean to you, I didn’t mean it. Snape is right,” Sirius fumes at your thoughts.

“Don’t fucking say that bastard is right, he’s a-“ remus shoots Sirius a dangerous look, telling him to shut up before he upsets you more.

“We shouldn’t have just assumed every period is going to be the same, that's on us love,” James said, kissing your temple. “It ain’t right we care for Remus on his monthly and then ignore yours,” James said and Remus shot him to look like he had Sirius.

“It’s okay,” you say, calming down as you rub your face. “It’s not,” Sirius said, kissing your shoulder. Peter cleans up your face, rubbing gently with a warm cloth.

Without saying a word, they had concluded to spoil you. James had filled a heating pad with hot water, Sirius went down to get a potion to soothe your pain, Remus was helping you into a comfy jumper and pyjamas as Peter was getting the junk food.

After everyone got back and situated, you had found yourself between Remus and James, a black dog cuddled between your legs; it’s head over your lap, while a rat was curled under your chin. A heating pad rested on your stomach, junk food around the bed. You sigh happily, resting your head on James' chest while one hand is running through a thick fur coat, your other hand occupied with Remus's. You felt comfortable, all fights dismissed and forgiven, before you fell asleep, James had whispered “you deserve us, we aren’t going anywhere, not even when it gets rough,”.

okay, you two don’t argue a lot, simply because Albedo is not a hostile or angry guy

but arguing is normal, a healthy part of relationships he says, despite the obvious

the arguments happen when he’s usually stressed, other than that they don’t happen

one, his lab is a complete mess, so yeah the thought is nice when you attempt to clean it yourself and the first few times he accepts it

but if you constantly keep misplacing things and cleaning the area to the point where he can’t find or reach something, he’s going to be mad

He is right behind the door waiting for you, Going for some shopping he didn’t got money for nothing, don’t ever think about leaving for a mission either him or Nanami (cause he would bother him until Nanami decided that yes he would watch you just to be sure) would be their by your side. 

You mean everything for him. 

At some points, he would talk to you about his whole projet, about how he is about to kick those old prick out of the system and expect you to be by his side too (which won’t be too difficult considering most of them are ass***) 

Also, if students were kinda suspicious about you (like who could even be healthy enough to date Gojo ?) they quickly understand why Gojo loves you so much to the point both of you became their parent. 

So sometimes you’ll be there to take care of their lesson since Gojo in his good fashion way decided to be late or just leave to buy a new mocchi. You’re kinda became Gojo-sensei 2.0 

Everyone loves you and when Gojo appears to finally be the teacher he is, they all whine about missing you. Later than day he would whine while being on your arm, about how you stole his students from you. 

You didn’t you were just a better teacher than him but he is not ready for that conversation. So instead, you just stroke his hair telling him how wonderful he is, about how obviously everyone loves him they’re just shy about it. Stroke his ego and he won’t even be concerned about his lack of skills.

katsuki absolutely loves pet names and affection. especially when he’s being picked up. but he’s too stubborn to say anything.

the first one to figure this out is eijirou. one night, when they were studying together in his dorm room, he accidentally calls kat “love.” katsuki immediately turns bright fucking red and is biting the insides of his lips/cheeks to contain his smile. he fails. eijirou is like “?!?!?!” and asks kat if he’s okay with being called pet names. katsuki goes “it’s whatever i guess. do what you fucking want.” which is ‘yes’ in bakugou.

it spirals from there. one day, while they’re sparring together on the weekend, eijirou picks him up making katsuki giggle and laugh super hard. on the inside eijirou is like “....inch resting....”

so one day, he gets bold and just. picks him up, throws him over his shoulder, and spins around with him. katsuki is giggling, laughing, and snorting. his smile is so huge, and it causes ei to smile real big as well.

then, he goes even farther. they’re studying again. it’s silent, a comfortable silence, but eijirou is getting restless. he needs to get his energy out. suddenly, and idea dawns on him. he looks over to kat, who’s sittin, doin his work like a good student, and pounces.

he tackles katsuki to the ground and just starts tickling him. “ei-hehehe-ji-hehehehehe-rouuuu” he whines in between laughter from his place on the ground. eventually, kiri gives up. katsuki has tears streaming down his face from laughing so hard, his stomach and cheeks hurt.

“you’re like a dog. constantly needing attention and someone to play with you.” katsuki snorts, looking up at him from his place on the ground. “oh yeah? well guess what else this dog can do?” kiri grabs him and holds him on his lap, pressing kisses all over his face and neck, causing kat to giggle even harder and turn even more red.

eventually, the rest of the bakusquad figures this out. katsuki lets them in on one of the study sessions because they’re so stupid. he needs to help them or he’s gonna punch something.

by then, they already have a little habit of ei tackling katsuki and tickling him, picking him and spinning around with him, kissing him, play wrestling, etc. kiri was getting restless again and just. attacks him. the squad is like “holy shit. kiri’s gonna die. he’s gonna be a dead man. bakubro’s gonna kill him.”

but instead, they hear hysterical giggling. “kiri...” he whines between giggles. kirishima ignores him, and goes back to kissing his face all over making him giggle even harder. eventually katsuki pushes him off.

“awww c’mon, love!” kat snorts at him and lightly elbows him. “back to work shitty hair.”

it was like a switch flipped in the rest of the squads head. “we gotta see him like this again. he’s so cute holy shit.”

sero is the first to crack. they’re sitting together at their lunch table, waiting for the others when it happens. they’re arguing about something stupid again and sero throws in a “darling.” katsuki immediately shuts down. his face is completely red and he lets out a strangled noise. sero immediately smirks. “you good there, darling?” katsuki just nods his head rapidly and lets out a high pitched whine-like noise.

kirishima arrives and immediately knows what just happened, by the look on both of their faces. katsuki, completely bright red, looking like his brain was reloading while sero sat there, with a very satisfied smirk on his face. “oh god sero you broke him.” he laughed. “don’t worry this happened the first time i called him ‘love’”

mina is next. she barges into his room one night. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING RACCOON EYES?!?!” she just shushes him and puts a blanket on top of his head. that immediately calms him down for some reason. she plops right on down next to him and brings out her laptop and opens netflix. once she has everything set up, she takes the blanket off katsukis head, whose whole face scrunches up, eyes blinking up at her. “c’mon baby.” she coos at him, gesturing to to her lap. his whole face becomes bright red, and he complies.

he lays his head in her lap, while she turns on a movie for them to watch. she lays the blanket back over katsuki’s body and runs her fingers through his, surprisingly soft, hair. eventually he dozes off in her lap. happy that her “plan” worked, she falls asleep with him.

denki is next. the class is doing partnered sparring. denki is paired with katsuki. now denki knows that he cannot win against katsuki. he’s way too strong. so he decides to play dirty.

it’s nearing the end of their fight, katsuki about to finish it, when it happens. “oh you really think you can beat me, angel?” and like that, katsuki shuts down. denki attacks and pins him to the ground. “i win, sweetheart.” he leans down and whispers in his ear. katsuki promptly malfunctions. seeing the look on katsuki’s face, he immediately gets a shit eating grin. he gets off of him and offers him a hand up. “c’mon, doll. don’t want to keep the others waiting.”

when denki and kat return to their friends, katsuki immediately walks over to mina and just. buries his head in her shoulder and let’s out a strangled whine.

“denki, dude. that was not fair.” sero laughed.

“yeah! leave my baby alone!” she swatted denki’s arm, still holding katsuki in her other arm.

katsuki got even more flustered and nuzzled his head deeper into minas neck. “i hate you all.” comes his muffled voice. “we love you too baby!” she cheerfully tells him.

finally, kyouka gave in. after hearing the rest of her friends call katsuki affectionate pet names, she realizes just how cute he is.

she goes and asks him to help her out with a new song and he agrees, grumbling the whole time.

she was showing him the lyrics when it happened. “does this line sound okay, honey?” and like always. there goes his coherency and able to form thoughts. his mind just. shuts off on him.

he doesn’t trust his voice to give a vocal response, so he just nods. satisfied, she smirks and continues on with showing him the outline of her song, dropping the occasional “honey” on him.

lastly, it was shinsou

when he joined class 1A, he did not know he’d like it so much. he didn’t know thatd he’d join this group of idiots, and he certainly didn’t think he’d be friends with katsuki bakugou, bad boy of the hero course. but here he is.

the first time he hears mina call katsuki “baby” he thinks his hearing is messed up. he expected katsuki to blow her up, not giggle and blush. he was about to say something but he saw the look of pure joy and happiness on kat’s face and stopped. he didn’t want to upset him.

a few months into hanging out with the bakusquad, he finally gave in.

“hey firecracker, c’mere for a second.” he calls to him. and oh man. the facial expression katsuki has at that moment.

his face is bright fucking red. even redder than the other times his friends called him pet names for the first time. because he certainly did not expect shinsou to join in.

still, he walks over to where shinsou stands and helps him with whatever task he needed help with. when they finished, shinsou leaned down and kissed his forehead. “thanks, kitten” he purred in his ear.

suddenly, small sparks started to come of katsuki’s cheeks. this has happened only once before, when he was super embarrassed/flustered. the fact that shinsou, of all people was able to make him spark, made him even more embarrassed.

other than calling katsuki pet names, the taller members of the squad liked to randomly pick katsuki up out of nowhere, much like kirishima does. katsuki could be in the middle of a conversation with someone and sero would just.... waltz on over and pick him up, bridal style, and walk away with him.

shinsou liked to throw him over his shoulder and carry him around like that. same with kirishima.

kyouka and mina would hop on katsuki’s back, demanding a piggy back ride. mina could also pick katuski up, because she’s super buff, but not for long.

denki likes to hold hands with kat. just randomly walk up to him and lace their fingers together, using dumb pick up lines on him causing him to laugh super hard.

someone had their arm around katsuki’s shoulder at all times. they all love to cuddle with him. especially since he’s a little spoon. mina loves to just bury her head in his back and fall asleep because he’s just so warm.

they also like to blow raspberries on his stomach and cheeks, just to see that blinding smile he gives them. 

once they started with the affection towards katsuki, they couldn’t stop. the more he blushed and giggled, the more they wanted to be even more affectionate. he’s just so cute.

they just... love their angry kitten. they love him so much.

First things first, before we get to the fluff, there are some things we gotta point out

Megs has stated very clearly he doesn't care who he falls for, as long as they have admirable traits. Seriously, Todo, stop asking. His "boring" answer isn't going to change.

This screams bi/pan rights, but also, that means he doesn't give a fuck if you have a little junk in your trunk

I'm so proud of that line please laugh at it

Anyway, when you were introduced as a new student, he didn't talk to you much

Well he did, but only about work and missions and stuff

Does this kid talk to anyone about anything that isn't curse related?

You seemed to gravitate towards Yuji anyway because honestly, he's the embodiment of happy he's just a cool dude

You didn't really catch his eye until he overheard you talking with Nobara about how upset you were with Gojo

He never passes an opportunity to be angry at Gojo. He was intrigued.

Apparently, Gojo had taken the liberty of designing your uniform for you, just like he did Yuji, but he fucked up the measurements

You seemed to be fond of baggier clothes because it "hid" your tummy and thighs

Nobara was supportive but struggling. She knew how to hem clothes to make them tighter, or shorter, not looser. She really was trying.

Yuji got involved because he saw you were stressed while Nobara tugged here and snipped there and nothing seemed to be working. Yuji learned that making silly faces and doing Fortnite dances doesn't help teenagers going through a body image crisis.

Megumi looked at the chaos and spoke before he really even knew what he was saying 

"Does it feel too tight? Does it restrict your movements, like in a fight or something?"

This kinda caught you off guard, but you shook your head. No, the material was naturally flexible and breathable, and the reason you couldn't breathe wasn't that the uniform top was too tight, it was because you felt you looked terrible

Megumi just shrugged. "Then you shouldn't worry about it. You fill it out nicely. It looks better than us, in our baggy uniforms."

Where the fuck did that come from Megs?

He felt the need to excuse himself with a polite bow and leave in his typical cool Megumi way even though his heart was beating faster than anything

He didn't see the way your face lit up, both with excitement and blush. Nobara did and caught on instantly, while Yuji just assumed you were hot and started fanning you with his notebook

Megumi didn't avoid you after this, but he did tend to freeze when your conversations strayed away from typical shaman things

He wasn't trying to, he was just constantly lost in thought

Why did he say that? Well, he means, it was obvious he said it because it was true- that uniform clings to your body in a way it wouldn't fit anyone else. Its kinda hot

Maybe he wasn't just trying to cheer you up. Maybe there are some things he hasn't discovered about himself. He actually really never had a crush on anyone. Is that was this is? Feelings?

Ew. But keep going.

Megumi noticed things over the next couple of things that were unsettling to him. You used self-deprecating humor. A lot. Always poking fun at yourself. He didn't mind it at first because, well, you laughed about it, but still. It's like you thought you really looked like the Michelin Tire Man.

He never knew what to do in these situations. Should he laugh? It seemed to bring you joy. But he didn't think you looked bad at all.

He also noticed you didn't eat much. And when you did you avoided sweets and grease. Megs was known for being the only one that ate healthy in the group, but even he didn't have salad all the time. You acted like you were embarrassed to eat in front of people, so you chose the tiniest meal.

This worried him a lot. At first, he bored you with the importance of eating three well thought out and balanced meals with the proper amount of proteins and calories and shit. But that seemed to ruin your appetite more, so he stopped.

He started sliding part of his meals onto your plate. He considered it a success when you would eat it.

The last thing Megs noticed was that you pushed yourself to the absolute limit during sparring practice and he hated it

See, you actually didn't need to be physically strong. Yes, it helps in battle, but your particular cursed technique kinda made up for being average strength. If no one could get close to you, and you can't get close to them, then you don't really need to deliver a punch, right? 

But you would just keep at it oh my god

One hundred push-ups. One hundred sit-ups. One hundred squats. Every day. He was worried you were gonna go bald at this point

He'd still love you but still, spontaneously losing your hair because of rigorous training as not good

You'd fight with one of them until you were pink and dripping with sweat. It was obvious you were breathing heavily and, honestly, it's been two hours. Even Yuji was getting tired, but you wouldn't stop.

Megumi found himself doing something he thought he never would. Ever.

He invaded your privacy, of course. 

"Shoko-sensei, Gojo-sensei asked for a copy of (l/n)-kun's physical and related medical records"

At first, he just wanted to see if you were anemic. You don't really show any symptoms, but also, you don't eat a lot. All this exercising can't be good if you are. Then his thoughts strayed to "oh god .... What if they have heart problems? Lung problems? They shouldn't push themselves so hard if they do. What if they avoid certain foods because of a stomach issue? What if-"

You're healthy. Just as he initially thought.

Megumi was baffled, to be honest. 

He can get avoiding certain foods if they hurt your tummy. But what if you were just afraid of being made fun of because of stupid cliches?

He can get casual exercise if it was important you lose weight so you don't get sick. But what if it was because you really hated how you looked?

This hurt Megumi. He threw his copy of the reports in the shredder and went on his way

He wondered around, lost in his thoughts until he spotted you just outside of the girls' dorms doing something

He could have sworn you were fresh out of the shower but somehow still exercising

Yoga? Maybe? He couldn't tell and he didn't care

You were wearing the cutest set of pajamas, and your hair was still damp

And when you raised your arms up your shirt rose and he could see the tummy in question, complete with stretch marks and whatever other blemishes resided there (scars, freckles, etc.)

He did the most ooc thing I've ever made this lil fucker do

He runs up, gets on his knees, and kisses the tummy

Just as he thought. Warm and soft. Both the skin and the texture are soooo soft-

As you turn into a flustered mess, "Fushiguro-san what the fuck", he throws his arms around your knees and throws his over his shoulder

"You aren't that heavy if I can do this... (Y/N)-chan"

Oh god the way your first name rolls off his tongue

Well, as long as he's near the girls' dorms, he might as well let himself in-

As you flail and giggle, trying to break away, he sees your thighs jiggle out of the corner of his eye

This sets something off in him he doesn't understand, but also, who the fuck cares

It isn't hard to find your room and he allows himself in, still pardoning himself for the intrusion, and he sets you down on your bed

Still doesn't give you a chance to speak as he wraps his arms around you and nuzzles his face in your stomach

He's never cuddled anyone ever, but he already knows this is ten times better than cuddling someone who's built like a wall

This makes you blush, but you reluctantly bring your fingers through his hair. "You think so?"

Megumi furrows his brows and looks up at you. "You don't?"

Megumi stays with you all night. You two stay up until three am talking about insecurities, everything you admire about each other, and Megumi practically worships your body through words and praise

He decides he's going to help you feel more confident about your body and your looks

All while loving every inch of your body

The next morning was a mess though because he had to somehow sneak out of the girls' dorms without anyone noticing

Gojo would be pissed if he found out

Had he not orchestrated this whole thing

Seriously, you honestly thought Gojo made mistakes? 

He hates seeing his precious students down themselves, and even though he only knew you for a couple of days back then, he knew this would be a problem

He knew one of them would enjoy your body

thank you for sending this ask!!! I do have many many thoughts on this subject and this has unleashed a monster in me so fair warning to everyone but anyway

honestly, it really bugs me when people claim that rory didn’t love jess as much as he loved her/that they fit the “boy loves girl more” trope (which, by the way, doesn’t sound very romantic to me at all). I feel like people who say that hate rory, claim that they only like her in seasons 1-3, think jess is too good for her, and/or something like that. it also seems to me like people who say that really just don’t understand jess and rory’s dynamic?? like at all?? (also, why would you ship them if you dislike rory? or think she’s not good enough for him?)

one reason I feel like they say that is because with jess, rory tends to protect herself, and they don’t seem to understand why. like when jess asks rory to run away with him, I see a lot of people criticizing her for that. they say stuff like “rip to rory but I would’ve run away with him” like...would you?? her not running away with him does not say she doesn’t love him or doesn’t love him as much. she did, but people seem to forget that she is still hurting over jess leaving. and I love jess, he’s one of my favorite characters of all time, but he did leave and he did hurt her. he didn’t say a word and didn’t explain, and while I understand his side of it and would never hate him for it, rory is 100% warranted in feeling upset over how he left. not only did he break her heart, but he broke her trust. she says it herself in the next episode - she doesn’t know if he would’ve changed his mind on her. people are so understanding of jess’ pain when it comes to rory, but never of hers when it comes to him. jess is allowed to be angry at her kissing and leaving, jess is allowed to be hurt that she’s still with logan, etc etc etc (and I agree with all of that, his emotions are valid as well), but she isn’t allowed to be upset that he was with someone when she came back or that he left. where’s the disconnect? jess left. rory was hurt. her protecting herself from further pain says nothing about her loving him less. it’s just another thing people love to gang up on rory as if she isn’t allowed to have emotions.

also, on the topic of self-preservation, rory was with another guy when she met jess. this isn’t a reason to hate her, but it’s a reason that things weren’t smooth sailing between them for a while. again, there’s a lot of sympathy for jess’ jealousy (which is valid!) but not for rory’s reluctance to leave dean. no sympathy at all. dean definitely treated her terribly, but people seek to think that because of that, rory should’ve just left him. she was afraid of losing him regardless of that, and I wish people would recognize that. he was her first boyfriend and to rory, he was safe. jess was new and unpredictable and while she liked him, she was afraid of that change. yet another instance where apparently rory isn’t allowed to have feelings that don’t align with others’ agendas. in my opinion, I also believe that rory was a little afraid of just how much she felt for jess, which factored into things. rory staying with dean until he broke things off isn’t a comment on how much she didn’t love jess. it’s probably the other way around more than anything.

another reason that I’ve seen people say is that rory compared jess to dean a lot. this, I believe, is very unfair to rory. I don’t like the comparisons either, and I understand the toll it took on jess, but blaming rory and disliking her for it isn’t fair. it doesn’t mean she loved jess any less. rory had been in a relationship with dean for two years and went straight into a relationship with jess. now, yes, she had been done and over with dean for a while, but he was a big part of her life that was suddenly gone and the only boyfriend she’d ever had. now she’s in a new relationship still dealing with that guilt (and lorelai had never really told her that it was okay to fall for someone else while with someone, which didn’t help). she never had time to mourn her relationship with dean. and I love jess, and I think he was a good boyfriend for the most part, but he did struggle with things. dean sucked and didn’t treat her well, but he called when he said he would and all that so he was considered this great boyfriend, while jess struggled at first with calling and they both struggled with communication issues. also, everyone in town acting as if dean was the best guy ever didn’t help matters. overall, I know rory comparing the two frustrates people, but again, doesn’t mean she loved jess less.

I’m sure there are more reasons for why people claim that jess loved rory more than she loved him. maybe because she dated other guys after, which is a dumb argument, or perhaps because she kissed him when she was with logan (which honestly says negative things about her and logan rather than her and jess but that’s a separate essay). I don’t totally understand that mindset, and to be honest, I don’t really want to. these are my best guesses for why people claim that, but I want to focus now on reasons why she does love him just as much as he loves her.

we see throughout the show that jess believes in rory. he supports her when they were friends and crushing on each other, when they weren’t on good terms, when they were dating, and for years after that through the revival. this is all true, and one thing I love about their relationship. however, this is not one sided. we all rave about jess’ impeccable development, but a lot of people seem to forget that this wouldn’t have happened without rory. this isn’t to say that she “changed him,” or anything like that, because his development occurred when they weren’t speaking, but he wouldn’t have made those changes if he hadn’t known rory. rory was the first person to see him for who he was, who he could be, and what he was capable of. almost everyone else wrote him off as a screw up (including his own mother), but rory didn’t. “people like mark twain wrote in the margins.” “you could do more.” etc etc. rory was his first advocate when he didn’t even believe in himself. right away, she knew he had potential. she knew he was smart and saw everything he could be. this shows just how much she cared about him and how much she loved him.

we also see just how proud she is of him when he shows up in season six having accomplished so much. she’d seen him for what he could he all those years ago, and now, she was seeing that she was right. her pride and sheer joy at finding out he wrote a book is so heartfelt and genuine and I don’t see how people can watch that and not think she doesn’t love him equally. he always believed in her and helped her when she was low, but again: this was not a one sided feeling. rory was also so proud when she visited truncheon and saw for herself everything he had built. her believing in him is just such a clear sign of how much she cares for him.

along with believing in him, rory also defended him. a lot. more than any other boyfriend of hers on the show, too. like, she never really campaigned for dean, and with logan, her defense was more minimal. with jess, almost right away, she defended him. it took a few episodes, it’s true, but by 2x13, she was so defensive of him. she literally froze lorelai out for a week (not that that’s, like, a “good thing,” but it shows how passionate she was) when lorelai was upset about rory going for lunch with jess. she defended him for what happened the night he came over, and she was vehement that he had a good side to him. then at dinner with emily, she was insistent that jess was NOT trouble, part of that was also feeling like people were treating her as if she had no mind of her own, but her defense of jess was also a big part of it. same goes for after the car accident, when she went around town both defending jess and herself (another instance of people treating her as if she was a mindless girl at the mercy of some troubled guy).

one thing that I’ve always loved about jess and rory is that for rory, it always comes back to jess. her kissing him twice while with someone else isn’t her just using and abusing him - I think it says that for her, it’ll always go back to him. this is a little harder for me to explain, but I genuinely believe that it always goes back to him. and the fact that she listens to him and values his opinion so much also proves this. like, when jess shows up in 6x08, he is the one to really get her to open her eyes to how un-her the life she’s living his. nothing anyone else had said had done the same, but jess pointing this out really made her think, oh. I really am unhappy. I don’t like this life that I’m living. and in the revival, he’s the one to give her the idea that turns things around for her. she values his opinion and deep down will always trust him.

I’m not sure how much sense I’ve been making, and I’m gonna wrap it up, but I also think that you can just see it in the little things. the way she looks at him, the passion she expresses, etc etc. if you just look at rory and pay attention to her side of things and analyze it fairly, it’s clear that the love between the two wasn’t unbalanced.
