what do uou mean sae is easy to get into a relationship but hard to make him stay.. that literally gave me the ick what the fuck man
JDKSHFKJ NO NO HE WILL STAY BUT U WONT WANT TOO RLLY
its easy to confess and date sae he just agrees on a whim and he finds u pleasant but tbh he's kind of a shit boyfriend at first LMAOOO. and it's not that he can't be a good one but he just??? does not put the necesary effort in at the start. he treats the relationship TOO lightly. he never breaks up w u tho and he's not even like ???? IT'S NOT THAT HE'S NEGLECTFUL. u just dont think he like really cares
to me u like break up and make-up w sae quite a few times bc he just sucks. he realizes too late that he actually is really in love with you and u kind of have to make him grovel and pine and suffer so he gets his shit together and expresses himself better. he's weirdly stoic?? like u think rin is the stoic one but that man is SENSITIVE LMAOO his nonchalance is fake
sae is acc nonchalant tho so even though he's not the worst bf ever u just get a very mixed signal from him. dating him when he's being decent is easy but he just. sucks sometimes. doesn't text enough, postpones dates, doesn't do well w boundaries and doesn't listen well.
but then he has moments where he is extremely thoughtful and romantic and kind and you just wonder like bitch why r u not like this all the time. and that's a damn good question!!!!!!!
he gets there i promise bc once it hits you're the one he is does a total 180 but he just like. idk. takes for granted your genuine love for him. he's always had rlly shallow relatiomships before u so he assumes you'll be the same and doesn't realize how untrue that is. u just genuinely like him as a person - not as a famous soccer player. he has had hard times w that before.
BUT HE IS AN AMAZING BF ONCE U MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE LMAOOO
#return to sender#im not helping his case but i love sae i do#hes just very older brother in an annoying way imo#a.sae

AITA for breaking up with my BF because I suck my thumb?
đ
alright, to preface this. I am autistic and I got a bit of an oral fixation and this just happened by the time of me writing this .
I, 22(FTM), and my (20M, ex-)Bf were hanging out in my room about a week ago. we were both laying down in bed. I was faced away from him watching tiktoks and he was behind me doing whatever, well at some point in my mindless scrolling I stuck my thumb in my mouth to just like, chew on a little - I've always done this since I was a tiny child and it always brings comfort to me, I know it's childish but it's not hurting anyone and frankly childish is good imo. well at some point my ex looks over my shoulder to start watching tiktok with me and we were only cuddled for a minute when he suddenly VERY LOUDLY in my ear goes "what the fuck", We were watching a dog video so I was like WHAT? WHAT IS IT? and he just rolls away from me and goes "that's gross" and infuriatingly I had to press him for a bit what he meant and he just pointed at my finger, that was admittedly looking a little wrinkly, but I was already annoyed by his dramatics that I just told him to shut up - I was a little defensive alright, cuz my older brother used to make fun of me for everything I did and especially when he "caught" me sucking on my thumb, it's a sore point for me tbh. but this sparked his annoyance with me and me and him got in a spat. it was a very stupid argument, something we would've had as a "joking" fight if either of us were in a better mood but it ultimately boiled down to him demanding I stop doing that around him and me telling him to fuck off which ended when he had to go to work at night, literally it lasted HOURS.
well we stayed together for a little longer yk, I kept justifying it, it was a dumb fight I can admit that but in the week following I noticed I wasn't fidgeting around him, I wasn't even laying down, always sitting up in bed or in a chair. like I just couldn't relax around him after that? it's such a small thing, literally wouldn't have mattered if he brought it up in any other way or just kept it to teasing but instead he Told me I had to stop and that it was gross. so yesterday when we were hanging out again, I broke up with him. he was really upset and without saying "don't tell me not to suck my thumb, bitch" I explained that I didn't feel like I could be myself with him (which I couldn't and it takes me forever to be actually comfortable with people).
but he figured it was more or less because of our argument and told my mom (they're both friendly, he thinks their closer than they are) well my mom said, while she thinks he's a dumbass for trying to get her on his side, I'm also a dumbass for breaking up with him for that reason, even after I explained that's not the reason, just the catalyst. but now she's told my siblings and they're saying it was kinda a dick move and it's got me thinking, so AITA?
What are these acronyms?

These are not the Zenins youâre looking for - Naobito & Naoya ramblings and then some
Since thereâs no real alternative for longer rants with a personal flavour, letâs give this a shot here on tumblr I guess? Heh.
Preface
General Naobito facts:
71 years â born in 1946, died 2018
Curse Technique: Projection Sorcery
Special Grade 1 Sorcerer
One younger brother - Ogi Zenin
Probably one older brother - unnamed, father of Toji Zenin
(I assume Ogi is younger because they are clearly not twins from the way they look, Ogi looks younger and Ogiâs children Maki & Mai are ca. 10 years younger than Naobitoâs son Naoya).
Three sons - youngest son Naoya (27 years in 2018 - born when Naobito was 44)
Fastest Jujucist (except for Gojo Satoru)
Both Naobito & Naoya are names that translate to honesty & straightforwardness. Naobitoâs further includes a meaning of âhelpful/supportâ
Hobby: Anime
Favorite food: Sake
Least favorite food: Fishcake
Observations & conclusions from his manga scenes:
Confident, determined, affirmative, tactical (ref. Dagon fight + Jogo appearance right before the burn, doesnât mind losing an arm, thinks ahead of Toji going for Dagon and jumps in to distract in support)
Cocky & playful, enjoys fighting (often grinning, excited to see Dagon evolve, taunts Nanami âTwo 1st grades cannot exorcise (Dagon)?â)
Petty (annoyed by everyone fixated on 4K 60FPS and stupid numbers, retorts to Maki wanting to take Clan Lead)
He was drinking and did not care about Maki leaving the clan. There was no mockery and no attempt to stop her. Only when she said sheâd become the next clan head, he asked if he should make her life harder.
He showed up to Shibuya to help out the rest (Maki mocks his drinking habits, with cans next to him he shouts over to her to bring him drinks, but later he nonchalantly breathes into Nanamiâs face and we see he actually has not been drinking) and is excited to hear Gojo has been sealed, wants to celebrate.
Maki antagonizes him uncalled for, a bait he does not take but tells her matter of factly she should be the one to go home, to which Nanami agrees.
Assumption based on minor clues
Clan head since the 80s or 90s â depending on circumstances.
â 2018-1185 (Zenin at the very least date back to Heian times) = 833 years with 26 Zenin clan heads= average leadership of 32 years = his latest âstarting dateâ would have been 1999.
IMO it is very likely he took over earlier than that, because as far as averages go, it usually is way longer spans that are interspersed with very short ones.
(see: âmedieval life expectancy was just 31â which did not have most people die at 31 but caused by a high infant mortality seeking the average - you either died as a kid or lived into your 60s).
I think he took over in the mid to late 80s because that sets up the unfortunate situation his family line had to deal with.
On a factual level itâs also not unlikely, because the first half of the 20th century was a chaotic time all around the globe, full of societal shifts and political conflicts that may have potentially led to Naobitoâs father/Naoyaâs grandfather dying âearlyâ.
Anyway. I present to you:
THE LIFE & TIMES OF NAOBITO ZENIN aka HOLY HEADCANON
The historical context is what makes Naobito so interesting to me and further supports my personal controversial headcanon that:
Naobito & Naoya Zenin are NOT the major players in the, letâs call it âtraditional Zenin campâ that exiled Toji and used all kinds of shady internal clan politics to keep power systems up.
Let me take you on a very exhaustive detour on what Naobito being 71 years old in 2018 translates to.
He was born at the brink of World War II and in the wake of the atomic bomb.
During his lifespan, Japan went from a humbled country on its knees to a major player in the global economy, driving technological advancements. During his youth, Japanâs patriotism loosened and a lot of American culture was adapted - the yankii subculture rose to prominence.
JJK readers were told that the Heian era was the peak of jujucists. IRL historically, it was a time famous for many violent conflicts and natural disasters.
Since JJK establishes negative emotions breed curses and cursed energy, this means Naobitoâs young years must have been infested with stronger curses than ever, spawned from the aftermath, suffering, resentment and personal tragedies of WWII, Hiroshima & Nagasaki.
Born in 1946 within months of arguably the worst moment of Japanese history, emerging with a new technique utilising modern animation processes, his potential power upon birth likely matched the new level of curse threats, enabling him to eventually become the fastest Jujucist alive with the use of his modern technique. Growing up in a strongly American-influenced Japan in a rapidly changing world, he was a completely different person than his father (who had seen multiple wars but no massive technological and social progress yet) likely was.
Being the middle child, his father was likely 25-45 years older than him (men back then often fathered their first child between 19 & 23, so I assume he fathered his middle child at 25+), therefore born between 1921 and 1900. This makes him very likely a very hardline conservative patriot who took great pride in the battles he fought in - either during WWI or WWII or even both. A man raised in the spirit of a proud nationalist Japan at the peak of its expansionist mindset across Asia, high in spirits from the successful war against Russia and winning military campaigns in China, Singapore and more East Asian territories. Japan during Naobitoâs fatherâs youth wore uniforms and kimonos.
Whereas Naobitoâs social upbringing (outside of his fatherâs direct influence) was shaped by a more globalist approach and culture, appeasing to the West and showing e.g. through the Olympics of 1964 what a modern country they had become. So when Naobito was 18, Tokyo modernised its post-war infrastructure and built both the Metro as well as the Shinkansen connecting Tokyo and Osaka which kicked off the economic growth in a global spotlight and highlighted how well Japan had rebuilt itself after the defeat 20 years ago. Japan during Naobitoâs youth wore slacks, jeans and white shirts. He is old in 2018, but he is a "modern man" in comparison to what came before and he is accustomed to change and progress.
Due to this clash of ideals and lived realities in the world around them, I think Naobito and his father had a very rocky relationship once Naobito entered puberty (and listened to jazz, blues, rock and dressed in blue jeans and leather jackets) and that they had some fundamentally different views on things.
The realities of external life could not have been more different between Naobitoâs father and Naobito. Whether it was the world around them or the eventual standing of their clan, Naobito was dealt a very different hand of cards than a very very long line of Zenins in previous generations had been dealt for many centuries.
Due to going up against a man with so much pride and confidence when emancipating himself as his own person, I believe Naobito grew a strong backbone and was a very genuine, upright person - within the limits of his time and upbringing. Much more progressive and less patriotic than his father in any case, which surely was a source of conflict. Yet, I suspect that succeeding in spite of his fatherâs disapproval is what fueled him to become a more capable and autonomous person than his brothers are and to show that an allegedly inferior curse technique will not hold him back. But Naobito and his father did not only clash about this. In the later Hakari introduction chapter, JJK establishes there are several political factions and some are in favor of traditional millenia old curse techniques like Megumi's 10 Shadows or Gojo's Six Eyes and shun new curse techniques like Projection Sorcery and Idle Gambling that only emerged with new technology. Since sorcerer grades are based on Jujutsu strength and such, people with a modern curse technique are clowned on and not properly being recognized - which applies to both Naobito and Naoya.
The realities of life for Naobito and Naoya are very similar and Naoyaâs life is dealing with similar challenges as his fatherâs. Unlike his father, Naobito was confronted with the reality of established values, routines and social hierarchies becoming horribly moot and due to his own curse technique not being a prestigious one, he was forced to reevaluate the legitimacy of what his father had taught him and what old clans perpetuated. Both in light of the changing world and also his own value as a person and a jujucist. Naoya was confronted with a similar road to growth and reevaluating the classic Jujutsu society & clan values, also having received the same modern technique as his father and witnessing the new kind of strength Toji wielded.
While I do say that Naobito is a different man than his father, I am a firm believer that âthe apple does not fall far from the treeâ and very much see the likeness between Naobito and Naoya. I feel I should clarify this applies more to personality traits than opinions and I think all three of them are more straightforward and more blunt than the other family lines.
The people readers are told to be suffering by the Zenin familyâs actions and opinions are Maki and Toji.
Both of which are not Naobitoâs children. They are children of Naobitoâs older and younger brothers.
Naobitoâs unknown older brother exiles Toji due to him being resented and seen useless by the majority of the clan for not having techniques or energy, Naobitoâs younger brother Ogi and his wife raise Maki & Mai in a cruel way, on top of that Ogi is shown to secretly plot behind peopleâs backs and be involved (with e.g. Jinichi) in inner-clan intrigues and betrayal. Funny enough, Toji himself is shown to be as much of a schemer (as seen through his bounty plan) and backstabber (pun intended) in line with his upbringing.
Naoya & Naobito on the other hand speak their mind openly, announce their gripes and do what they want. Naoya and Naobito are not schemers, they very much are -in accordance with their names - straightforward.
Naoya is many things, but he is not a liar.
Both Naoya and Nabito are eccentrics with a very flashy style that does not conform to plain traditions:
Naoya with his piercings and dyed hair (Iâve previously mentioned his white hakama being unusual for men, which still holds true, but it is not uncommon for high rank swordsmen to wear white ones, so I have now come to conclude these indicate his rank as Chief of the Hei) and Naobito, as an old man, sporting this over the top moustache.
There is an idiom about Japanese society that the nail who sticks out gets hammered down. Both Naoya and Naobito are doing everything to stand out and refuse to fall in line with unreflected traditional actions.
Both have not inherited the Ten Shadows technique but Projection Sorcery - as a result, both are on their own side which aligns more with the reformer side (that contains other Jujucists such as Hakari & Kirara who also have modern techniques), than the conventional conservatives (such as the higher ups or the Kamos. On that note, take a moment to reflect on the implications of Maki and Mai wearing modern school uniforms while Kamo Junior wears a uniform that much more resembles traditional clan attire: The Kamos are as conservative as the Zenins and probably more so than Naobito).
Both Naobito and Naoya are denied their perceived birthright purely by the unfortunate existence of Gojo Satoru and his Six Eyes, and Megumi having the 10 Shadows Technique, for the first time in hundreds of years denying the Zeninâs claim to fame.
Since Gojo was born 1989, I personally like to imagine Naobito tasted clan leadership as âthe strongestâ (and, in his case, fastest) for at least a few years before the one to change the worldâs balance was born - simultaneously stealing Naobitoâs position at the peak of the Jujutsu world and also denying that of his at that point two sons. Toji was already past the point of manifesting a cursed technique and therefore all existing âsonsâ of the Zenin family were ruled out to take their clanâs glory back from Gojo Satoru.
So Naobito tried and succeeded in having another son - I believe this is why Naoya was fathered by him as late as at 44 years. All hopes to restore the waning Zenin power were now on this little boy growing up. Would he be the one to manifest 10 Shadows and make the Zenin a worthy competitor to the Gojo clan again?
No.
Naobito, at this point already several years into watching his clanâs decline, lost the last bit of hope to restore its glory by traditional means and standards when his son manifested his very own curse technique: Projection Sorcery. Personally, I believe that your curse technique is heavily related to your personality - or call it soul if you like - and both Naobito and Naoya having the same technique reflects their similarity in character.
So Naobito raised Naoya to try and surpass the competing Gojo Six Eyes boy even without inheriting the jackpot technique.
While I do believe that Naoya was pampered by servants and women growing up, being the son of the Clan Lead and future Zenin heir in a long line of proud Jujucists, I also coin Naobito as one to give tough love, and demand a lot and would assume Ogi resented him because he would remind him of his own lack of potential, lack of power and lack of future.
On the topic of Ogi:
He is a weak, bitter man who holds resentment for everyone around him and blames everyone but himself for his shortcomings.
Being the youngest brother, his upbringing was different from Naobitoâs and I imagine that especially after witnessing his father and older brother argue and clash, he tried to suck up to his father by being a yesman to all his views and often tried to throw his older brothers under the bus and snitch about his activities.
He has always been a miserable rat with no backbone, hoping for another authority figure to spoonfeed him power.
He never learned that power is not given but taken and failed to take ownership for his life and actions right until his death.
Tojiâs father/Naobitoâs older brother:
I have little thoughts about Tojiâs father/Naobitoâs older brother, but I think he also clashed with his father and (this is super out there) maybe refused to take responsibility despite being the firstborn son and had no interest in leading the clan. I think he was on good terms with Naobito either way and I can see the two of them in their late teens/early 20s out in town, wearing jeans, pomade in their hair, smoking, flirting and riding around on motorbikes with Ogi nagging on the backseat how irresponsible, shameful and reckless they are while they tell the miserable virgin to shut up and learn to be a man.
(In fact, this is the Zenin backstory I want to read and write about, hahaha).
I consider it possible Ogi remained unmarried/a virgin for most his life and only decided to marry a few years after Naobitoâs youngest son Naoya had also failed to manifest Ten Shadows, in a last ill-guided attempt to steal his brotherâs superiority by fathering a child with the golden curse technique. Unfortunately Maki and Mai did not get it either and, to add insult to injury, were girls. Ogi must have been seething about his unlikely decision to marry after all. Possibly he was talked into it by others in the Zenin clan who did not hold Naobito and his ways and his son Naoya in high regard - considering them too unruly and progressive, affirming their future support to Ogiâs line if he ever takes action.
Either way, I think Ogi and Naobito (and Naoya) are on bad terms and Ogi is a weak rat that deserves to be stepped on by greater people.
Most readers sympathise with Maki and Megumi and their goals and views because thatâs the lense through which we see the story, but take a step back to think about the legitimacy of it for a moment.
Maki leaving the clan is fair, but why would she (or unwilling Megumi) be suitable candidates for leading whatâs essentially a business with lives and salaries and adult people in national positions of power and military units? The thought of it is absurd. Itâs only natural for Naoya, who was raised into this responsibility from a young age, to be outraged over a noname teenager stealing his legacy from him the moment he was supposed to get it in his mid to late 20s. Itâs as outrageous as Gojo taking it from Naobito.
My personal headcanon on Naobitoâs drinking habit is that it formed in his later years, after Gojoâs curse technique emerged. Struggling to come to grips in his mid 50s, after a life lived for the Zenin legacy for ultimately nothing, watching the power loss and decline of relevancy the Zenin hold after the unfortunate event series - Toji energyless and exiled - Gojo born with Six Eyes - Naoya not having Ten Shadows - from the sidelines of history and the center stage of his clan, with his older brother & his father definitely already dead at this point and him being left with the joke of a person that Ogi is, he took to drinking. âIf itâs all drifting into irrelevancy, I might as well sit back and have a drink in my remaining years.â Something to this extent. In line with this, writing Megumi into his will was a drop in the ocean and at this point no dent in the current state of the clan already past its prime in his eyes.
And yet, old Naobito, leader of the most powerful and wealthy Jujutsu clan (who does not need money) goes to help with the curse outbreak in Shibuya. Sober, despite Makiâs claims.
And he does not pull a Kusakabe avoiding the curses roaming around but genuinely puts in effort to defeat Dagon and save Maki (who left the clan) after telling her to go home (which against all reason she refuses out of teenage thickheadedness and nearly dies burnt to a crisp as a consequence).
Whereas her father, Naobitoâs little brother Ogi, throws her into a cursed pit to die.
Now, as for Naoya.
Unlike Maki's mother, he does not try to stop her from getting to the curse tools. Unlike her father, he does not throw her into a cursed pit to die. Unlike Jinichi he is not involved in a plot to have her killed.
He mocks her for having an ugly face, rendering her a total failure (on top of not having CE and being a bad fighter). Compared to what everyone else is doing to her, that is really tame.
What I find interesting and most people oddly gloss over, is how he asks her if her plan is to stay in the shadow of Megumi and Yuta.
The implication of this is that he looks down on her choice to tag along behind two other boys â instead of rising up to defeat the odds stacked against her which he potentially considers her capable of. If he was not considering her worthy of being her own person, why would he mock her for being in the shadow of those two? Much like Naobito raised Naoya with tough love, I think this (unconsciously) is a jab at Maki to take Naoya and Naobito as a role model (instead of her weak father) and rise to greatness despite the odds. Somewhere in that douchebaggery of his, he considers her biggest fault her passiveness and acceptance of other peopleâs low opinion of her and tries to get her to snap and rethink. Be the rebel that Naobito and Naoya also are and were.
I think Naoya, with his definition of and thoughts on strength, his contrarian taunting of everyone else in the clan after his fatherâs death, had plans to reform the Zenin clan in his own vision once his time as a head comes, to mare sure it will be sustainable in a new age of Jujutsu with less outdated ways of thinking. Naoya has his own agenda. He is not following anyone else's. He does not care for Sukuna's plans, he does not care about Kenjaku's plans. He does not care about Gojo's or Maki's plans (the latter ofc only up until she is all up in his face with her actions) he just wants to get promoted, nothing more. That's not any bizarrely evil masterplan, just a guy trying to steer his life in accordance with his personal vision and goals.
One of my most genuine headcanons about Naoya is that, without Maki and Megumi, heâd have been with Hakariâs and Kiraraâs reformer faction and wouldnât ever have been perceived as an antagonist at all. Because he is not a villain, he is an antagonist, and specifically for Maki & Megumi - he has zero personal agenda with the rest of the cast (aside from Gojo in the broadest sense, but in the same way his father already had it and just lived with it).
Naoyaâs whole life revolved around two things: eventually stepping up to lead the clan and to prove himself worthy despite an inferior curse technique, so naturally Megumi stealing the head position from him with contractual fineprint pisses him off to the max. And then to add insult to injury, his âuntalented, ugly little cousinâ runs amok and slaughters the clan he was supposed to inherit right under his nose. Which he, interestingly, kind of brushes off like water under the bridge and just mocks her for being heartless. He holds no sentimental feelings towards those people murdered there, going by his lack of reaction. And does not care about the Zenin legacy being wiped out for the most part. Which hints at him having prepared for a reform that has now become moot through Makiâs actions.
Now only his other goal in life remains. To be the strongest next to Toji and Gojo. And had Maki not challenged that, had it been anyone else over a different topic, he would not have cared. But his biggest insecurity aka driver was prodded and his arrogance and refusal to acknowledge strength in another Zenin child not him became his downfall. On that note, I also do not consider him a misogynist in particular - he is a petty, spiteful instigator and goader and shittalks everyone. He baits Jinichi into attacking him, he baits Maki in a sexist way, he shittalks women in front of his aunt and he shittalks his brothers to Choso. He does not exclusively single out women to disrespect, he disrespects ANYONE. (Like young Gojo by the way, who behaved the same before he met Geto - all these kids raised into clans, especially as child prodigies set up for future greatness, have little respect for others. A baseline a big ego and a certain arrogance and always feeling better than the rest, no natural instinct to care for others and no respect for established rules are traits both share. Fortunately, Geto opened Gojoâs eyes on the responsibility of strength and taught him some consideration and at least a little humility and kindness. Otherwise, Gojo and Naoya would indeed be standing right next to each other, in arrogance and disrespect for those lower than them).
For what itâs worth, I think Naoya is sexist but the one who is an actual misogynist is Ogi. And thatâs why Naoyaâs treating Ogiâs wife and daughters mockingly the same way their father/husband does. Yes, there is a difference between sexism (crude prejudice and discrimination) and misogynism (actual contempt and dislike/hatred of women). And while weâre at it -- most of Jujutsu societyâs clan-raised peers (vs. random recruits like Yuji, Yuta, Todo) will be sexist. They just donât get a chance to show it in the manga because their arcs revolve around other things. Kenjaku, Sukuna, Gojo, are all certified sexists given their upbringing and backgrounds. But their stories are different ones, so itâs not likely to come up. Although there has been Gojoâs remark about scary women and Sukuna looking forward to killing women - just saying.
Personally, I donât see characters or people IRL as good or bad, thatâs a childish way of thinking and in such narrow simplistic boxes that only fit in childrenâs cartoons. People are people. Flawed. Everyone has flaws and everyone has reasons why they have those flaws. Some people click better with your own flaws, some end up causing issues in your life. One bad trait and deed or one good trait and deed doesnât make or break a person. Itâs the sum of what you repeatedly do. Intentions are secondary, the outcome of your actions makes it real. âWhoâs worse? The demon who killed 2000 humans or the human who told another human her face is ugly?â is a stupid game to play, especially on childish claims like âoh but sexism is realâ like death and murder arenât just because your sheltered little life has been free from them so far. Grow up and start recognizing the realities of physical violence. Anyway. Naoya mocked Maki for being unable to find a husband with her scarred face, her father threw her into a pit to kill her. People who think Naoya is her issue need to get a grip.
The Zenins you are looking for are not this line of the family but the rest.
And I wanna drink sake and watch anime with Naobito. And listen to him telling me stories from his 30s in the late 1970s.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Top 10 BL's you've read for 2024?
the top in this 10 is "off the top of my head", tbh. i also didn't list ten, and these aren't in any particular order. these also aren't my all time favorites (necessarily. i think a couple on this list qualify)
Anotoki Kara Sukidattanda to Omo (and its sequel)
here's the thing: this bl is not good and most people aren't going to like it. it is schlocky, messy, and melodramatic, it's borderline surreal, extremely absurd, relentlessly horny, and it has the pacing of a tiktok edit to an early 100 gecs song set to 150% speed. very prototypical in a lot of ways, one of the most unique bl i've ever read in others. an absolute fever dream. but it's one of those things i read at just the right time, and there's something about it that means a lot to me. it's first so you understand how esoteric my taste gets right off the bat and have 0 expectations for anything else i put on this list. also some cws for this one so like you can dm me if you want to know.
Reunion (by 2coin and deulsum)
something you need to know about me is i really love manhwa that people think is boring and by god reunion is that bitch. long-winded, gently achy character study with identity porn. it's shockingly lowkey, grounded, and comforting to read for it's initial premise... that being "poor guy with terminally ill mother poses as the dead grandchild of a rich terminally ill old dude's nanny in order to pay for his mom's treatment and his brother's schooling and oh no there's this mean chaebol grandson who is obsessed with him except it's 7 years later and the chaebol grandson has amnesia and gives his boss a briefcase of cash to buy him" you'll see what i mean when you read it, it's really actually good. you'll like it if you like quiet slowburns.
Eat Your Heart Out (by Samak Satang and AI_tuner)
do you like scalies? do you like amazing worldbuilding? do you like plotlines about social class and eugenics? do you like yandere older brothers? do you like aggressive bottoms who are slutty and insufferable? do you like 2 and a half foot long dicks? boy do i have a one of a kind manhwa for you. eat your heart out was an unexpected delight right from the start due to it's amazing art and character design. but then i got to know helm and i fell deeply, deeply in love. he is just so fucking annoying and borderline unlikeable at times in a way that makes him an amazing protagonist. crazy about this one, a new favorite for sure. also i am not joking about dick size. you are reading "two and a half foot long dick" and thinking to yourself "surely, danny is exaggerating" i am not exaggerating. please pray for helm. he is not making it out alive.
Tameshi ni Komando Itte mita
if you like domsubverse you probably won't like this domsubverse. if you don't like domsubverse im also not sure if you'll like this. really, to enjoy this you should have a neutral opinion on domsubverse and a positive opinion on kissing the homies goodnight. dom getting dommed. sweet, bunny-soft, funny, and i just really love the relationship between the two leads.
90 Days for the Delicacy
phew, look at those two whole normal recommendations! time for bdsm and gore! i can't really tell you anything about the plot of this one without spoiling it. im sorry, i hate when people do that to me, too. if you know what my favorite manga are: this is in a similar genre.
Nekura to Gyaru Otoko
a simple manga about an outgoing gyaru boy, his childhood friend who has spent his life taking up as little space as possible, and the quiet, painful conflict that causes. one of the first manga i read this year that made a lasting impression on me. i love the art, i love the characters, i love the quiet moments in the story, i love it's bluntness, i love it's weight and temperature and how it tastes when i read it. a must-read for chronic doormats and those who would rather die than burden people they love, imo.
One Summer Day (by ker)
grim reaper fucks up a reaping reaaaal bad and has to babysit his charge until the paperwork comes in. unfortunately being still-alive when you're not supposed to be comes with some... side effects. such as becoming a huge murderslut. good news though! the cure for undead murderslutism is in fact nasty sloppy bareback marathon sex. this is by the same author+artist as sign and i absolutely love it. the characters are likeable and you can feel that this one is going to suckerpunch you with pain between the multi-hour fuckfests.
Spectrophilia
a young man is haunted by his past... literally. and, uh, hornily. after attending the funeral of his highschool bully/situationship/best friend the protagonist finds himself plagued by raunchy "dreams", the star of which being his dead friend. i think i started this in 2023 and i don't care you should read spectrophilia. the art style is really unique and im crazy about it. slow, quiet, a hint of yandere. don't ask me why two entries on this list feature dead people.
OÎŁG!!! = Oh My God
lets round this out with a banger i fucking love oh my god, it's great, it's gore-camp, it's playfully dark, and the characters are fun! it's a yandere serial killer/salaryman romance wrapped up in an amazing art style and slutty bloodsplatter. this one's light, easy, fun, and exactly what it's trying to be. i adore it.
#there was one i excluded from this list bc i was like. i don't want to recommend this willy-nilly actually. this is dark as fuck.#not fandom#im realizing i could make a full top 10 list of stalker bl in different genres.#(lists 10 bl of wildly different genres tones and themes) always keep them guessing#if you the first one on this list i need you to know that you need to treat it like getting caught in undercurrent#you need to go wuhoh this is wild. i think im drowning#and like go limp into it#you just need to fucking go with it#you need to just let it happen and go ''okay''#you need to accept it for what it is and revel in absurdity and art that tries only to be deeply outrageously itself

So I am rereading TMI after almost 10 years and my adult brain is processing small details that my middle school brain did not! I never realized how much Izzy has Jaceâs back through the first three books especially. Iâm on COFA now and Jace is having his dream about stabbing Clary but right before, he wonders if Izzy is the one knocking on his door to bother him. That got me thinking about that sibling pair. We get parabatai scenes between Alec and Jace but I would love to know what Izzy and Jace get up to as a duo? Their one-on-one conversations seem like such a mystery lol and I know youâre an Izzy enthusiast so if you have any headcanons about this please share đ§đ»ââïžđ§đ»ââïžđ§đ»ââïž
i have so so much love for jace and izzy's relationship, but you're right, we really don't get much in terms of content for the two of them. which honestly?? tragic. not only do they top the shadowhunting charts, but idk there's just something about how the two of them function in life that would breed such great comradery imo like there's a reason they tried something romantic at one point, yk? they're so similar and they both hold the other in such high regard.. okay i could rant about them for a long time, but let's talk headcanons
jace was always quick to include izzy in any games him and alec would play, even when the latter was going through his 'my sister is so annoying' phase. jace understood what it was like to be lonely and didn't want to be the cause of izzy being forced to find some way to play on her own (or with her baby brother) when there was a perfectly good game she could join in on
the two of them did occasionally pull pranks on their older brother too. alec got so pissy about it, but that was of course the best part hehe
along with being pranking buddies, i think they also did a lot of confiding in each other. alec would get more withdrawn (into responsibility, into big brother protector mode, into hiding his crush on jace) and there was just something about a brother that wasn't quite a brother, who wouldn't reprimand you or worry about you or tell mom and dad on you. and of course not having any real friends around kinda made it difficult to have confidants who weren't also your siblings.
so jace was the first to know about izzy's first kiss, and izzy was the first to know about jace's first time.
because jace often felt like he had to look cool and desirable (not sexually just like.. worthy ig) to alec, it was often izzy who he'd open up to. about his past, about how hard the transition to new york was from the countryside, about how left out he felt when maryse wouldn't sing to him etc.
she shared her hair products with him and he would read to her on nights when her parents were fighting and it seemed to affect her more than any of the boys.
when he told her the spaghetti story she tried to make spaghetti for him at least once a month. never with positive results, but she was teasing him for his youthful obsession, so he'd tease her about her horrible cooking <3
she shared her hair products with him and he helped her study, since he was already well ahead of shadowhunter standards for their age
i feel like they're the kind of duo who starts out having a very casual, joking conversation that devolves into hours of deeper shit that they then have to go to the training room to sweat off together
#i got this ask while i was out at a bar with lena this weekend and got so excited because they are literally such an underrated duo#thank you for giving me the chance to talk about them <3 i hope this sufficed#headcanon#tsc#the shadowhunter chronicles#isabelle lightwood#jace herondale#asks#anon <3#vetted

Please elaborate on the bea/ted booster/tora parallels
I feel like I yell about this all the time but I guess itâs actually been a minute. basically blue & gold and fire & ice arenât carbon copies of each other but they are seemingly very intentionally paralleled relationships in JLI, they evolve at the same time pretty organically, and it just kind of seems like the team liked writing that dynamic so much they did it twice.
I think a lot of modern writing depicts Ted as the weary voice of reason pulled along by Booster but that is nooooooot the dynamic that exists in JLI. Which I think leads people to kind of view ted & tora as âthe nice blue onesâ and booster & bea as the âthe chaotic idiotsâ which I think overlooks the narrative parallelism happening in two of my favorite JLI friendships
Ted & Bea are both very much the motion machine in their dynamic duos. Even when Booster and Tora are on board, in JLI itâs Ted and Beaâs big ideas that initially drag them into trouble. Ted wants money; Bea wants fame; theyâre both willing to risk danger, unemployment, and humiliation to get it. Theyâre also both a lot less concerned with the emotions of others than their counterparts which leads to Tora & Booster having to follow along and clean up some of Bea & Tedâs messes.
Tora and Booster arenât usually the ones pushing Bea and Ted into adventures, but theyâre often the one who keeps things going. Thatâs often sociallyâToras âgood with difficult personalitiesâ and we literally meet Booster in BG #1 in the middle of talking his way into a better payout for his movieâbut thereâs also plenty of times tora and boosters powers save the day or the narrative just values their ability to see the situation more clearly than their visionary counterparts blinded by big dreams. Theyâre also the two to âleaveâ with Booster literally leaving the team to go with Claire & the Conglomerate and around the same time, Toras page time becoming less focused on F & I stories and more focused on her relationship with Guy.
That period is also where we see Ted & Beaâs friendship given new focus since they become the default hijinx duo. I think it does Bea a disservice to put her into the âvoice of reasonâ role that belonged to Booster, but I still love these Motherfuckers as a duo so much oh my god. Theyâre such opposites on the surface but such similar people underneath, and how much they mutually annoy the fuck out of each other is so dear to me. They also keep being parallels throughout the 90s imo even past their friendship breakup that makes me so very very sad.
Tora & Booster are also dear to me. Theyâre just NICE to each other which is a contrast to JLIs many âI love you but you suckâ dynamics. Iâve talked about before how Booster and Tora meet at a time where sheâs left behind her older brother and heâs just lost his younger sister, and I think their relationship works viewing it through the lens that theyâre both looking for the same kind of brother-sister dynamic theyâve just lost.
I donât have some grand wrap up here other than that Bea & Ted and Booster & Toraâs friendships are some of my favorites across the whole team, and I love any scraps DC will throw me since they arenât getting focus anymore.

Zelos 22, Kohaku 18&19!
thanks yume!!^^
22: if you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? something you don't like?
you know, i feel like zelos is one of those characters iâve never actually seen an interpretation of in a fic that didnât feel in-character. like he so would fucking say that! i think this is because of how deeply his Problems are tied into his annoying behaviours - you really canât take away one without disrupting the other. so people who hate him because heâs an obnoxious womanizer still have to acknowledge his trauma and people who love him because heâs so Deep and Complex still have to acknowledge that heâs a problematic jerk.
that being said, i really like seeing people explore his womanizing behaviours in fics in more depth. i read this fic probably not long after its post date, so likeâŠ9 years ago? and itâs stuck with me all this time as like, peak zelos. i think the idea of him using women for non-sexual intimacy was something i hadnât really thought of before but made so much sense when i read this fic and i love seeing that explored in other ways by other people too!
as for dislike, again i canât think of muchâŠi guess itâd be erasing his womanizing completely, but i really havenât seen that very much (if at all?) lol.
18: how about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?
iâm a sucker for sibling duos and kohaku and hisui have such a fun dynamic! the overprotective older brother archetype is often annoying for its inherent sexism lol and i canât say thatâs not happening here too (especially in hearts r, if memory serves), but i meanâŠof course hisui is overprotective, just look at everything theyâve been through! something i really like about hearts is how in the early parts of the game kohaku is a passive actor but still dominates the narrative - hisuiâs concern for her creates such interesting dynamics between him and the other characters (namely shing lol) because itâs clear how unbalanced he feels by the position sheâs in, and i think it also sets a strong tone for how those dynamics play out later on when she does regain her spirunes and she actively encourages him to be less grumpy lol. i just think itâs neat how much it shows how much he actually relies on her, even though his whole schtick is being the dependable older brother that SHE can rely on. idk if this makes sense but yeah. them <3
my runner-up here is her relationship with richea. itâs SO interesting, and also a little ??? because wow, what a weird situation. thereâs so much potential there to explore imo and i think the game kind of drops the ball with it in favour of developing the dynamic between richea and hisui, whichâŠfair enough, but also kohaku is so intertwined in richeaâs whole. everything. i just wouldâve loved to see that expanded on more than it was.
19: how about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?
this is kind of a random pick but chalcedony tbh. i feel like in vanilla hearts the other characters often became kinda secondary to shing when chalcedony was around and iâm not sure hearts r really fixed that by adding him to the party? idk maybe this is selective memory on my part but i just wouldâve liked to see a more fleshed out dynamic between him and any of the other characters but especially kohaku, who is obviously pretty implicated in the initial antagonism between him and the party/shing. like it was definitely touched on but clearly not in a way that stuck out for me because i canât remember any interactions they actually had lol. to be fair i didnât get to the point of him joining the party in hearts r so itâs possible there are interactions i never saw that would sway my opinion here but yeah. itâs been many years since i played hearts so my memory is pretty fuzzyâŠmaybe i should continue the replay i started a couple years ago haha

Dav spoilers below the cut!! (Up to just before leaving for the anderfels)
Okay I've gotten off for today so I wanna ramble a little bit about my playthrough so far!!
I am geniuenly adoring it so far! Alot of the problems I have with inquisition are non-existent, the combat is fun, the characters are likeable. Sadly the purple rook options aren't as much of an asshole as I would like (purple Hawke you will be missed) but they are nice! The writing so far has been solid imo.
I really like that the cameo characters aren't taking up too much space. While I do get excited to see them, I don't want them overshadowing the new characters, like they kinda did in previous games. The cameos are also way sooner than I was expecting!!
So far I've only had one instance of "that is NOT what I meant to say" with the dialogue wheel which I count as a win (when I recruited lucanis I said 'ill keep an eye on you' thinking it was out of concern đ that may have just been a skill issue on my end tho. I reloaded that save so fast). I also really like the romance dialogue options so far. They aren't so overwhelming cringe that it makes me wanna curl up and die inside (I am staring directly at you Hawke who SAYS THAT to a man who's BOYFRIEND JUST DIED). They all feel very nice and flirty in a way that isn't in your face. I am also really REALLY liking the companion writing so far. All of the characters are charming and I'm already more invested in them than I was in the inquisiton cast sorry đ
While Rook does talk a lot on their own, so far it all feels very in line with what Revari would say. While I do miss being able to control everything the PC says, ik logically we'll never get a dragon age game like that again so it's not something I was expecting. Very happy nothing feels glaringly "they would not fucking say that"
I I thought the lack of worldstate choice was going to be more glareingly obvious but tbh i kinda forget about it for most the playthrough. It still sucks that there isn't more worldstate options, but yk I can't change that
Lucanis is already really growing on me!!! He's just a silly little guy and I am a SUCKER for them. Born to be a chef forced to be an assassin frfr...
Neve gallus obviously has my whole heart if you didn't know. The longer she's on screen the more I love her. She hasn't left my party since Bellaras recruitment quest.
Very interested in Bellara. For a hot second I thought her brother was going to be Felassan so I was mildly disappointed that it wasn't đ although ultimately making it a new character is a better narrative choice.
I LOVE that you can encourage Lace's abilities!!! I have a feeling that how you tell her to channel her abilities (whether through joy or through fear) is going to affect the outcome of her story... Also love that if you show optimism about her abilities she also shows excitement about them
Varric and Rooks relationship is so sweet to me!!! I mean he calls them kid you guys should know I was gonna be a sucker for it. While I know that's probably annoying for older Rooks, it works for Revari. I'm also very glad he has a distinct different relationship with Rook than he did with Hawke and The Inquisitor. He's clearly very fond of them and it makes me happy idk. Also the sheer fucking difference between the way he acts towards the Inquisitor (even one he's friendly with!!) and rook is so funny. Inky really is just his ex boss huh đ
I've only talked to Solas twice so far but I'm already more invested in his and Rooks dynamic than I was with him in the Inquisitor sorry đ I didn't romance him so he didn't really do it for me in Inquistion, but I'm low-key looking forward to seeing him again. His little jabs in the second talk after you "exchange verbal spars" is so fun, and I think it really hammers in the "Solas reflects back the people he interacted with". He did it with the Inquisitor, and is doing it again with Rook, but it's SO much more interesting to me in this game so far idk. Maybe it's because he's responding to specific comments? Idk Revari is a bit of a shithead so. I don't think Revari hates Solas, but they are a bit wary of him.
The voice acting has been very solid so far as well!! Nothing that's glarely bad to me at least. I also really like some of the facial animations; while some of them can feel a bit flat in general conversation, some of them are REALLY good. There was a bit where Dorian started snarking and he curled his lip. And another where Rook opened their mouth like they were going to talk but didn't. Idk the facial animations are REALLY standing out to me. This is so much better than the previous games I am not even over exaggerating. Dragon age "Every character wears an ugly sneer all the time" Inquisiton you will not be missed... Obviously it's because the technology is better but it is really really obvious how much attention went into the faces I am here for it
The combat is so fucking fun. Ik it won't be everyones cup of tea but I am having a BLAST. It didn't take me very long to get the hang of and it's very satisfying to play with.
I am also fucking LOVING how relevant your backstory is!!! Like yes!!! I am a shadow dragon!!!! There's so many additional dialogue about it even just in casual conversations! I never felt like the game forgot about it. Rooks connection to their faction is great and I love the fact that they know people and people know them. Shadow dragon rook ily đ«¶
I really like how much it feels like this game remembers what you've done. From Lucanis remembering your preferred drinks (Revari likes their coffee STRONG) to Varric feeling like he let you down after you encouraged him, so far it really feels like what I'm doing is sticking and that makes me SO fucking happy.
Final thing!!! This game looks absolutely fucking gorgeous I keep getting blown away by the views. I do wish I could zoom my camera out a bit more just to take everything in bc it's SO big I love it!!! So far it is geniuenly meeting my expectations and I am SO FUCKING RELIEVED. I have been so worried it was gonna be dogshit for WEEKS
#dragon age#dav spoilers#oc: revari mercar-surana#worldstate: mage rights#take a shot everytime i complain about inquisiton#i swear i dont hate dai its just my least favorite#and its glaringly obvious#my ocs

What are your opinion on Lucifer and Michael i see them like brothers
Oooh, okay, good question!!
We did not get to see much of it, but back when they were both angels they had peak sibling energy since they were just midly annoying to each other (I think it was mentioned that Michael used to sneak into Luci's room at some point in the story...?) and the whole bit about Michael being "crazy about Lucifer", as Mammon so kindly put it, imo seems like a younger sibling being absolutely mesmerized with their older sibling, so I 100% agree with you about them being like brothers
That being said, it's a bit tricky to work out their exact relationship since we don't know that much about Michael. What both games did indirectly show us, however, is that he cares deeply about the people in his life. Luke mentions how he still catches him staring at the place the brothers' portraits used to hang, in NB Raphael complains about Michael worrying about Simeon and Luke since they keep forgetting to send their daily updates to the point that ends up neglecting his duties and then bombards them with all the gifts Michael had for them, and he still has a lot of keepsakes of back when Lucifer was still an angel. Which imo makes it all the more interesting that in NB Michael seems to hold a small grudge against the brothers (while still caring about them). I really hope we get to see a little more of that
Lucifer on the other hand seems fairly neutral in NB. I actually feel like he never really held any malice against Michael after the Celestial War to begin with, especially considering how he immediately thought that Michael was the one that gave MC the Ring of Light no matter which option you pick. To me it seems like he believes that Michael sent MC to the Devildom to look after them, and from Luci's perspective it would also explain why MC kept trying to help them adjust and kept inserting themself into their business
Fastforward to the og game, and their relationship seems to be in a good place again. Luke does mention that he thinks it's not fair that Michael still loves and cares for the brothers so deeply while they have moved on and don't really seem to care much about him anymore, but in regards to Lucifer that's not true imo. Like yeah, Lucifer doesn't really bring him up, but to be fair it'd also be kind of weird for him to? First of, Lucifer is the Avatar of Pride. No way he'd just publicly admit that he misses Michael or still cares about him. Also he's a demon now with a whole new set of responsibilities to deal with, and he doesn't really have any constant reminder of his time back in the Celestial Realm the same way Michael does with the missing portraits. Imagine if they were prepping for the play for the school festival and Lucifer just starts talking about Michael all of a sudden. Would be weird as hell
Plus, he does reminisce about his time as an angel whenever it makes sense for him to, and he seems very fond of his memories and usually ends up talking about Michael in some form, like that time Raphael fell asleep from drinking too much Demonus and it reminded him of Michael and the two of them drinking together
Speaking of drinking Demonus--I headcanon that part of the reason Lucifer collects and enjoys Demonus so much is because it reminds him of all the times all the seraphs went drinking together
Also, Lucifer and Michael are actually still in touch. In the Devilgram 'A Job From Michael' Luke and MC tail Lucifer since Michael asked Luke to. Lucifer then later explains that Michael actually gave him some advice on how to deal with his brothers and adds that Michael was probably curious if Lucifer actually followed through, which is why he asked Luke to keep him updated
So yeah, they're definitely not as close as they used to be, but all in all they seem to be on good terms again
#thank you so much for your ask!! <3#i love dissecting characters and their relationships so this was a lot of fun#obey me#obey me lucifer#obey me michael#obey me analysis#obey me relationship analysis#asks#;mel's analyses#mel's starry musings

GUYS, I CAN NEVER TELL WHAT MORAL ALIGNMENT THIS LIL' SHIT (Eluvias, my lovely little problem child) IS. I'm putting the rest under a read more because I know it's gonna end up super ramble-y.
So first, the way I look at the alignments is loosely this: - Good = Would save someone in trouble without promise of reward. - Neutral = Would leave someone in trouble to their fate. Might intervene for reward. - Evil = Would harm/kill/otherwise detriment person in trouble. and then: - Lawful = For principle - Neutral = For necessity - Chaotic = For impulse
And I can never tell if he fits best as true neutral, chaotic neutral, or neutral evil. Which...look, I know that technically no character should fit perfectly into an alignment. Different situations, and pressures, and whatever else could always make a character act outside of that alignment after all-- if they didn't, it would make the character kinda flat and predictable. (Plus, examining what would make them act out of that "norm", how they would do it, and how they would react to it afterwards is one of the most interesting parts of writing a muse imo)
But with Luvi, it always just feels like he decides how he's going to react to everything on a whim. Which...immediately points me toward chaotic. But good and evil don't really fell like they completely fit him, so I always sway towards chaotic neutral.
Except that he has done and will do some really fucked up shit. Sometimes just because he felt like it. Other times because he felt it was what he had to do, or even because it was what he should do in that situation.
And sometimes it's a little frustrating when I write him, because I feel like he can come off so all over the place at times that I worry that he doesn't come across as a consistent muse...like he does whatever, because...well, whatever. Which wasn't the case when he was still in Elyki.
Noticing that is what made me realize that it's because of that, that Luvi is so unpredictable now, though. Even if Zahine spoiled the hell out of him when he was young, he still grew up under very strict rules. Pretty much everything he did was heavily regulated. (With Zahine, it was for Luvi's health and wellbeing at a time when he was very frail and weak. With Mattias later on, it was just because Luvi was a tool that was potentially very dangerous to everyone in Elyki as well if he wasn't...essentially "holstered properly")
Now that he's away from that, he's suddenly bombarded with choices that he's never had to make before. He wants to be nice, and good-- partly because that's what he views his older brother and Zahine as being, and partly because he wants to make friends. (and then not have to worry about feeling like he has to or wants to hurt them)
His upbringing with Zahine taught him more that he needs to watch out for himself, and that-- while he should be cautious of others, he shouldn't hurt them unless he actually has to. That, as long as it won't detriment him, he should help people in dire need, but to generally let those in lesser need take care of their problems on their own. Kind of a good/neutral bordering.
But his upbringing with Mattias also taught him that...essentially, the lives of others that he doesn't know shouldn't ultimately matter to him. And that if he wants or needs something, he should just take it, regardless of how he has to get it. That if someone slights you even a little bit, or even if you just don't really care for someone. They annoy you? You can get rid of them.
And so really, he's just caught in this really confusing limbo where...kind of like a child that's just trying whatever comes to mind, seeing what happens from there, and deciding "Wow, that worked out pretty well!" or "That went really poorly..." from there.
Io and Zai try to help him with all of this, because they know he's overwhelmed, but neither of them can (or should, since that was a bit of an issue in and of itself; Luvi's obsessive nature definitely didn't help any of this) be there to hold his hand all the time.
Anyway, all of this is pretty much to say that I don't think I can put Luvi in any alignment, at the moment. He's got too much learning to do.
It also makes me wonder if Io was ever that way too, but I honestly don't really think he was. Not only was he old enough when Zahine went missing that he remembered a lot of the things that Zai stood for, but he was always especially defiant with Mattias. So while there might have been a little bit of figuring things out in that manner when he was taken under Pythius and Rhezar's wings, it wasn't anywhere near what it currently is with Luvi.
#[Eluvias -headcanons-]#My gosh this got so long I'm sorry#but the more I thought about it#the more I wanted to get it down#if not for everyone here to read and get a better idea of the reasoning behind some of Luvi's behavior#(I can already feel Suzu for example going ' :c ' or ' ;n; ' at all of this because Luvi is her /baby/)#then because I want to be able to look at it later on and see if anything has changed and all that

rating camp camp pairings
because i ran out of ideas for posts and saw someone else do this a few years ago so swoop the idea is mine now
nerriston - 10000000/10
i love them. ok. i really do theyre super cool. it make sense like. they have a perfect dynamic. theyre cute. we have magician who has anxiety, cocky loud theatre kid who does not give a shit, and short dnd nerd who would beat your ass and probably carries in all the groceries at once. LIKE. its perfect. it literally is the best
im equally as loving of presner/harriston/nerrison but nerriston is my main otp
presnurf - fuck you/10
hacks gags dies
presmax - 1/10
personally i dont see this? and its not because they havent interacted, mostly because their personalities don't mesh well imo? not to say that opposites don't attract, thats the building ground for so many good ships, but with them its just. kind of just pure annoyance any time they interact. and unlike nerrison, it's not a continuing thing that makes it a rivalry and has layers to it (ex. background interactions, like at the lake lilac summer social), with max and preston its just general annoyance any time they bump into each other.
plus i hc preston to be 14 and max is canonically 10 and while my headcanons arent canon, that interpretation of mine makes it a very much no go for me
neil x harrison - 3/10
not for me, but i can 100% see it
again though, i hc harrison to be 14 and neil is canonically 11, so,,, another dealbreaker for my bc of this headcanon
nerikki - 3/10
definitely compatible, and if it werent for the fact i have a sturdy hc on cc campers' ages, i feel i could like it?
but 14yo x 10yo is a big nono for me
ered x nikki - 1/10
for me it feels like nikki has a crush on ered in the same way kids tend to have crushes and idolize people older than them. like how someone may like their friend's way older brother, even though hes like 6 years older, but it dies out once they mature and stop idolizing him.
ered is either 15 or 16 in my headcanons, and nikki is canonically 10, so,, nikki can have a crush on ered in the same way kids have crushes on celebrities, but for ered to act on that would be very very bad
ered x nerris - 6/10
can see it, not my favorite, but i can definitely enjoy content from it (like fanart or fics) if its not the main focus.
ered x dolph - 1/10
sir, dolph is like literally the youngest. ered is the oldest pls stop (ik the eggs benefits episode was what started a lot of ships but. but cmon)
honestly though i rlly like the idea of them as older sister younger brother type of dynamic, tho ive not seen many people hc that if any
space kid x dolph - 8/10
i like them as friends more but i can definitely see it and enjoy it!! either romantic or platonic, i really love their (imagined bc they never interact lmfao) dynamic, and theyd mesh together very well personality-wise. both are clueless (dolph because he doesnt pick up on things well/holds a very positive view on everything, and space kid because his brain is like a pinball machine), and both have no friends/are generally excluded from everyone else due to their differences.
makki - 9/10
at first didnt like it at all, i like it now though!! dont have much of a reason for this, just think it's cute. angsty boy and feral girl. max would be moping and nikki would bring him a cool rock and he would not understand why but keep it anyway
maxneil - 10/10
"mandatory gay pairing for every main characters" is what someone from a random youtube video from like 4 years ago would say
though i rlly like it. guy who doesnt care at all and guy who overexplains absolutely everything/cares too much. max would ask a retoric question and neil would go into a ramble. max annoying the absolute shit out of neil and neil just. loudly sighing
neil x nikki - 1/10
i headcanon them as stepsiblings after parents day!! before i used to like it, but the fact their parents boned and nikki discussed being siblings killed that for me
nurf x a cactus - 10/10
he deserves to be prickled
neil x tabii - 1/10
i dont like fics where they're together as adults if im honest. as much as i adore tabii, her borderline obsession with neil makes him uncomfortble and i dont think it'd really be healthy at all. hes made it clear he doesnt like her
max x sasha - 7/10
can def see it! two bitchy assholes, though i dont like the idea all too much. would need someone else in the relationship to balance it out, or else its just kind of two dicks doing back and forth
pikeman x sasha - 8/10
it would not be healthy but by fucking christ it would be hilarious
sasha would be the gold digger and pikeman wouldnt know how to speak to a woman and it would be great
nikki x sasha - 5 to 8/10
nikki was bullied by sasha a lot, also sasha is kind of a dick, but they could be cute if sasha got over herself and started to be actually decent. with care put into it, it would be cute in a storyline of "girl forced to be perfect her entire life and externalizes this onto others, learns to embrace her true self through realizing that girl who is messy and doesnt care about how she looks is happy"
or maybe i just really like mabel x pacifica. its one or the other
tabii x erin - 8/10
very cute!! i liked how they acted at the end of the lake lilac summer social, but they work more as best friends in my opinion? badass besties who would wingman each other and tell each other everything in sleepovers. but at the same time, i do love gay people.
erin x neil - 7/10
SIGH if only erin got more character development. it could have been very cute. mostly because erin deserved someone who liked her for something other than her loks, which shed been pressured to prioritize just all of the time. also neil and erin could bounce ideas off each other?? and once more, pathetic bf x badass gf
erin x snake - 2/10
there wasnt much between them outside of "omg hes cute" without much emotion put into it, yk? which is funny because i like snake x tabii which wasnt too different but whatever
snake x tabii - 8/10
TABII WAS A DICK TO HIM BUT OH MY GOD IT WOULD BE SO CUTE
forever crying about that. they would go so well together????? tabii deserves someone who thinks shes pretty i really like tabii and she and snake would be badasses together and i and i and i
pikeman x snake - 3/10
do not like it personally. mostly because pikeman's an asshole but yk
camper x counselor - wtf/10
daniel x david - 4/10
definitely not for me!! can be cute i guess, especially in aus where daniel isnt a cultist, but i dont think david would ever fall for a child murderer
david x gwen - 20/10
i love them. i love them so much. goes into my favorite trope of badass wife x too scared to ask for katchup at a ristraunt husband
david x jasper - 10/10
pre-jasper death only. post-jasper death and thats creepy because jasper is literally still a child
pre-jasper death and in aus where jasper lives, i will gobble that shit up like a starving turkey. i literally love it so much. like??? i cant explain why. plus ive read so many good fics with it that i am unable to hate it.
gwen x jen - 3/10
jen has appeared a total of one time for exactly 5 seconds. but in aus where shes given a character and isnt a murderer then i think it could work
daniel x jen - 5/10
never interacted (as if im one to talk with my nerriston bullshit) but cultist x cultist can be made interesting
cameron x priss - 9/10
could either be 1 of 2 things
your grandparents that keep fighting all of the time but love each other
two irresponsible grandparents that teach the child how to make an explosive
they seemed to have a sort of romantic connection and it wasnt all sexual attraction, and cameron's fear of comitment was the only thing really stopping them from enjoying a presumably happy and healthy marriage
platypus x food - 10/10
a match made in heaven

can u explain scotpru to me? iâm very curious about this ship
Oh I would be HAPPY to lmao
So scotpru (for me) started because of a gereng rp I did with a friend ages ago that had both Gilbert and Alasdair as characters.
Keep in mind I'm not much on the historical side of hetalia so I can't speak on reasons to ship them re: concrete historical potential trading or connections the people may have had.
BUT, that being said, when it comes to nationverse, Gilbert and Alasdair both are somewhat older nations who have seen and experienced a lot of the world. They have quite a rough (and often annoying) exterior to their younger brothers, but at the same time have a genuine and warmhearted love for certain cultural aspects that they cultivate and put pride in. Both share a love of handcrafted pieces, whether they're old engraved weapons or woodworked furniture or illuminated manuscripts, they put value in creating something yourself and putting in the time and effort to learn that skill.
In my eyes, they connect via old tales of the world and the other nations when they were younger, as well as clashing in the kitchen in a positive, poking fun kind of way. Scotland cooks more often, Prussia bakes more often (which Scotland doesn't complain about at all, who would when they're getting served sweets?)- though Scotland's cooking style is much messier and "intuition" based versus Prussia's meticulous recipe notes and measuring and cleaning practices. And oh, they love to work on projects together that can utilize both their strengths- it's kind of one of their love languages in a way.
Also, Scotland's voice matches Prussia's flute perfectly, and both of them adore hearing the other play. It's soothing. They love the outdoors and often go camping or out on daytrips into the countryside where no one else will hear them play together, like a personal little show they put on for their ears only.
Beyond concrete interests that are similar, Alasdair and Gil also seek out each other in the sense that, because they have these sorts of connections with each other, they can find comfort in each other. They know how the other grew up, they've seen them grow and change over the years. They don't have to put on the strong unaffected persona with each other when they're alone. Gilbert appreciates that Alasdair doesn't treat him any different after being dissolved- doesn't look at him with barely-held back pity and annoyance. And Scotland knows that despite being the eldest and supposedly having all his shit together, when he feels like everything is falling apart he can come to Gilbert, who will put aside his usually abrasive front to welcome Alasdair with open arms. They learn to open up emotionally and trust each other. Neither are the best with words, though Alasdair is worse imo, and so they're able to pick up on each other's nonverbal cues and signs of affection that others might not note. And I do just like Gilbert's explosive energy next to Alasdair's slightly more laid-back vibes.
I feel like it's one of those relationships where neither actually said "I love you" for a very long time, it was just mutually understood that they shared a bond with each other that they didn't feel with anyone else.
Humanverse and other aus have similar notes to them- in my mind they often meet at say, a bar or pub, or even perhaps at daycare while dropping of their siblings depending on the au, and begin connections through some mix of love of history, music, baking and cooking, crafting, and/or just the fact that both can often feel like outsiders in their current community, and said relations bloom from there.
Anyway I love them so so much and I hope this messily-worded collection of thoughts helps convey why ehee

If youâre still taking least favorite tropes (this is purely personal, If you like this trope or have written it thatâs great Iâm not trying to put down authors!!)
I kinda dislike it when Legend is like, always constantly a huggeeee asshole. I get that he teases more than some of the others, and can be a bit more hotheaded, but I donât exactly see him as evil I guess? (Hyperbole) Him being a straight up jerk and never feeling remorse and never being anything but a jerk kind just rubs me the wrong way.
Another one I dislike is Wind acting like a literal 6 year old. I get that itâs really hard to write teens, and Wind is young, but heâs pretty mature, even if goofy at times. Him being a bit immature or just acting his age I completely understand!! I just donât love it when he acts like a small child.
And this isnât a trope but it makes me kinda sad whenever Four and Sky have little to no dialogue in fics :(
Also, not really a trope, but Iâm not a huge fan (not trying to hate! I know itâs easy to do by accident) But I donât really like it when Hyruleâs only role is healer always. Like, his name isnât even dropped until someone is hurt kind of a thing. He is a great healer and very caring, but thatâs not all he is! We only found out recently that he has any healing powers. (Iâm pretty sure?)
Again, no hate to anyone, these are just tropes that I personally dislike! :D
Making Legend the default Asshole for the plot is so annoying, it's like there needs to be conflict and Legend takes the role of the guy that's kinda easy to anger when he's really like... sixteen and traumatized. He's a little grumpy and the first to tease someone but he also canonically knows when to stop.
I think there can be really interesting takes on how Wind's age affects his relationship with the others and his experiences, how he's still allowed to have childish interests and thoughts but that doesn't make him less capable. He still stabbed Ganondorf in the face. I think there's a balance to keeping him from being depicted as too young and completely ignoring his age. I think that a lot of the Link's have major older brother energy so it's hard not to flock to the baby of the group.
For a long time, Hyrule was only headcanoned as being the healer as he had a healing spell and people found it compelling to use his abilities in fics before jojo confirmed that he still does use his spells. But that fanon definitely attached itself to his character completely and it's impossible to separate them at this point. Before this last arc, it was more implied that Warriors was closer to being their field medic but that never really caught on. (which is unfortunate IMO)
#a lot of these are people reducing a character to a singular trait which is interesting lol#linked universe#ask andromeda#lu trope talk

kyle for the ask thingy
sexuality headcanon- Demi bisexual (male preference) or demi gay. he's demi no matter what though. Or ace. just ace spectrum rly imo
otp- Is this even a question. STYLEEEEE style style style. I love style sm. Literally look at them they mean so much to me. Stan and Kyle are such a fun dynamic and there's so much that can be done with them. they're best friends and they love each other more than anything but they're also codependent and could be the other's downfall. They hate each other. They need each other. I want to shake them.
brotp- not to get literal but I love his dynamic with his brother so much. Kyle just being an annoying older brother with eldest-sister-aka-the-third-parent-complex who is desperate to be a positive figure in Ike's life and Ike wanting Kyle to fuck off so he can watch Pewdiepie (but he loves Kyle dearly). Iconic.
notp- Mghhhh I'm not gonna go on about how I hate ky///man here as I've done so plenty before but I don't like it as a bothsided thing except in rare cases, typically only if it's used as a plot device that isn't intended to be endgame. It makes me genuinely uncomfortable- On the other hand, a lot of my closest friends ship it so I can tolerate it. But yah, not my thing and not something that makes much sense to me except in very specific cases.
first headcanon that pops into my head- Freckles bc someone commented that he doesn't have them on an animation I made the other day and it pissed me off lol
Also he's autistic
favorite line from this character- "Because you're my little brother, Goddammit! And even when I'm fifty and you're forty-five, you're still gonna be my little brother!" Bless him
one way in which I relate to this character- Hghhhhhh hahahahah oh boy. Ummm Repression and anger as a defense mechanism. Can't keep my mouth shut. Too judgmental (trying not to be,,), and plenty more. he's so fucking relatable I hate him
something that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- His tiktoks (though I also adore them) and how badly he'll try to fit in in the most awkward ways possible. It's more loveable than embarrassing though.
cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Cinnamon roll. He has some issues and can be shitty but I think he's overall a good person who tries his best and I think that shines way above any missteps he's made, especially considering he's rarely malicious and usually his worst actions were taken out of hurt and in an attempt to make things better for everyone.
Here's the prompt for anyone who wants it!

Final Fantasy XVI Part 1 - A World We Want To Live In
The Eikons are very pretty! I think my favourite is the Phoenix, the colours are very nice. Shiva is very pretty too but after my brother said she's not blue enough, I can't get it out of my head lmaođ Titan looks like Hugo lol, just a big version of him hahaha. Gotta say Clive's mother is absolutely terrible. The way she discards him so easily is horrible, and she's a traitor. I feel so sad that their father the Archduke died just like that, and it felt terrible to see Clive (I assume he's Ifrit) kill Joshua/Phoenix, that was pretty cruel to have to watch helplessly. I didn't think Jill would be Shiva, but I guess I'm mostly sad that he had to kill Tiamat to protect her, like dude Tiamat could you nottt. Cid looks good. Anyway, Clive protecting Jill, and being ready to die with her was cute. I was wondering if Cid was Ramuh so it's nice to have that confirmation. Assuming from the demo then, Benedikta is Sylph/Siren or something then?
I found it hilarious how Cid really shouted when he found his scout at Lostwingđđ Totally not an infiltration mission where you need to stay low hahaha. I'm not surprised that Cid and Benedikta used to be part of the same kingdom, since it seemed like Benedikta was fond of him in her own way. Cid definitely reminds me of Balthier from FFXII though but an older version that's probably more leader-ish considering all the people he picks up, whereas Balthier likes a bit more freedom imo.
My bad, so Benedikta is Garuda. I guess I was right to think that Cid and Benedikta were a thing back in the day! Wonder if she'd be willing to come to our sideđ€ Anyway, guess we've got a new Eikon power to use! Too bad Benedikta? I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for her because I don't feel like I know enough about her to really be swayed a certain way especially since she followed Barnabas knowing that if she wasn't useful anymore he'd throw her away. I just wonder if Cid told her he was leaving the kingdom when he did, and whether he asked her if she wanted to go with him, because it does sound like she thinks she made the wrong choice so I guess she could have followed Cid but chose not to. I guess she's pitiful. I didn't think she'd die just like that though! And nice to see Ramuh! Although it seems like Cid gets one stop closer to death the more he uses Ramuh's powers. I wonder how Clive will react when he realises he's Ifrit?
Wow, I didn't expect to see Odin! I really love the look of Odin but who would've thought Barnabas would be the Dominant for Odin lol. As for Bahamut, Dion is cool but Bahamut not really. I hope we get to see Alexander, I still think the FFIX Alexander looked the best so it would be awesome to see what a modern rendition of him would look like. I feel bad for Clive though, he's been chasing after himself all these years thinking of revenge as the only thing to keep him going but then he realises that the one who killed his brother was actually himself. I guess Jill can be his new reason for living? But I wonder if Clive only went out of control because of that hooded guy? I'm so glad Gav didn't die because I was about to riot. The guy was so devoted to helping Clive, I would have been so annoyed if he died for it!
Omgggg the moogle is so cuteeee, full of fluff! The only negative is that it isn't voiced so we don't get to hear kupo!! Awww Clive and Jill's reunion was pretty cute, it's nice to know that she'll support him whatever happens when they go back to Rosaria. It feels like I'm cheating when I use the accessory that does combos for me haha, but it's so convenient when I'm too tired to really want to play lol. If only it told me what combos the AI is using so I can learn lol. Anyway, gotta love how this game gives you 5 gil like dudeee c'mon lol. Another gripe is what is the point of having a party in this game when you can't use them or tell them to do stuff? You don't equip stuff for them, you don't know what abilities they use, it just feels like such a lonely game. Oh and honestly, equipment in this game doesn't feel very progressive or different because all you do is get higher stats but there's no variation to make you particularly choose one weapon over the other because of other abilities or something, so it's boring.
Very interesting that I guess Bearers and Dominants all have a curse, or essentially a time limit like a crystal where they can be "used up" as they continue to use their powers, gradually turning them into stone and their body crumbling into dust, that's terrifying. I wonder if Cid is like that? He seems to be having difficulties with his body whenever he uses his powers. I feel sad for Martha and the Abbot's situation though. Martha buys Bearers who are too far gone because she can only afford those that are "useless" and the abbot due to the kindness of his heart uses the medicine Martha buys to take care of these people in their dying moments which is kind but terrible because he's basically surrounded by death with no one to support his well-being as he watches the people he cares for die one by one. Well, yep, Cid is definitely petrifying with that handđ„ș Not surprised that Anabella got far and ended up marrying the emperor but seriously, she's terrible. Lady Hanna/Murdoch's wife surviving and giving Clive his father's clothing was nice, I don't think these Bearers and everyone will live to go to Cid's place though. Going back to Phoenix Gate was nice, not that it looked anything much like what it was before. As for Clive's personal battle with himself, it was interesting and needed I guess in order for him to accept that he's Ifrit. It was sad to see Lady Hanna dead, killed by the Imperials because of Anabella, it was expected but it's sad to think about the life she lived after everything.
It was really sweet to see Jill and Clive hold hands and tell Cid the answer that they found after returning to Phoenix Gate and how they wanted to build a place where people could live on their own terms instead of just dying on their own terms like Cid has strived for. I guess it's interesting to think that the Mothercrystals which are considered divine to this world are the ones destroying this world and its nature by drawing all the aether or something like their life force from it. I guess that's kinda like how the Dominants work and that's why Dominants eventually succumb to petrification? Quite cute to know that Cid has a daughter that's studying somewhere else. If Gav isn't coming to Oriflamme, I honestly hope he doesn't die, I like him and Clive. I knew Moore village would be cruel but it's sad to see children treating Branded as pets you can just discard and then get a new one. I'm not sure if Clive letting the child know about how Branded also have family will affect anything since I'm sure once she goes home and tells her parents, they'll just brainwash her into thinking that guy was just crazy but yeah. I feel sorry for Tatienne, she felt like this guy was creepy and didn't seem to like him and now she's dead alongside him just because she wanted her comb back??
Sigh. I agree with Jill, the Mothercrystal was much bigger than I thought, kinda reminds me of the Crystal World in FFIX. I knew Cid would die eventually but I really didn't want it to be so soonđ At least he died knowing that someone who believed in creating a better chance at life rather than just choosing how you want to die would be able to fulfil his wishes and dreams, I just feel sorry for his daughter and myself because I really liked him haha! Considering how similar Margrace looked to Joshua, it was natural to think that he was actually Joshua, it's just kinda sad but sweet that everything he's been doing was to protect Clive because these things want Clive to be some sort of vessel of theirs? Anyway, five years later and Jill looks exactly the same?? Couldn't they change her hair or at least her clothes lol, I mean Clive can't but she can! Anyway, Clive with a beard looks good, I always thought he looked like a boy from some angles so it's nice to see a more mature look to him now. Playing with Ramuh will be interesting, but knowing that it came from Cid will always be sad, at least Clive is now living as the new 'Cid' protecting Bearers? I wonder how Gav is doing though. Oh wow, the new Hideaway is beautiful and it is a good idea to have it only accessible via boat. It's also a very big place! I didn't even realise Clive's brand was gone lmao, I kinda liked it but very understandable that it's gone now. The story is picking up though so I'm a bit more excited about how everything will go from now on!
How ironic to have Black Shields as a version of the Shield of Rosaria to kill Bearers rather than protect them. It's sad that the abbot had to die but it was bittersweet to see how grateful the Bearers were to sacrifice the little bit they had left of their lives for him. I'm so glad Ambrosia the white Chocobo from back in the day survived and reunited with Clive. It would be great if the firebrand these people refer to is Joshua going against his mother, I think it's about time! I'm surprised Wade survived! Anyway, I'm glad we're getting more insight towards Jill's past and having her face her past, she's been very supportive towards Clive all this time, it's about time she also got that same support considering how terrible her life must have been as well. Honestly, Jill facing her past was done quite shallowly, nothing of substance was added and I didn't feel like it was as much of a breakthrough as it was for Clive accepting he's Ifrit. I mean, I didn't expect anything grand but I definitely expected more. I can't believeeee Gav ruined their moment for a kiss! It was the perfect timeđ„Č Guess we should blame Hugo for attacking Rosaria. It's sad to see the poor soldiers get massacred like that because most of the Imperial army is at the Crystalline Dominion so they're left with a measly amount of people. I love the look of the couerl here, might be one of my favourite renditions of it! Torgal the lightning wolf? He looks pretty cool! Not as fluffy anymore but very cool! I'm kinda disappointed that we didn't get to see the actual Titan again because I don't feel like we got see it much but oh well I guess, Hugo was such a life sponge, he just wouldn't dieee hahaha.
Honestly though, after this, I truly do love Clive and Gav's trust for each other and their interactions, the bromance is great haha! I feel like they understand each other and believe in each other and have each other's backs on a level that's well portrayed considering how much they've been through since the beginning of this game, so I really like them. For now, the game has been all right. The story isn't the most compelling but I do really like some characters and their relationships, well mainly Gav haha and it is nice to explore the world and see how people are living in it. And I'm curious and dying to see more Joshua haha!

9, 11, and 16 for the ask game! Your choice of fic (or all of them for 16)
(Ask game) 9 - What is your favorite dialogue youâve written so far?
If I'm restricting myself to just founders stuff (and lbr I dont remember enough about older stuff to be able to quote it off the top of my head) it's probably this bit from this oneshot because the lines are so cold (imo).
"If you want it to stop --" Says Butsuma, forcing Tobirama's face to turn the other direction and digging the kunai in to the other side, a perfect match to the first cut "-- Then stop me. Get strong enough to stop me." But Hashirama can't stand up. There's no sudden burst of strength -- he used that up ages ago. All he can manage is to drag himself a few inches forward through the dirt, fingers just able to reach where a spot of blood (his brother's blood!) has been flung to the ground. "Please." His voice is hoarse, "Please, I understand. Please stop." The look Butsuma levels at him is cold, a frown that says he doesn't believe him. He tilts up Tobirama's head, cuts a final slash into his chin, before letting go. Standing up, stepping back, uncaring of the way his son has dropped to the ground like a puppet with it's strings cut. "Guard your heart or grow strong enough to keep it safe, Hashirama. Those are your options."
11- What scene are you most hyped for this chapter/fic?
For Hand over Hand Over Hand, there is a bullet on my outline labeled "Hikaku's very long and sexy day" which I think about often, and is basically: Hikaku doing what he signed up for to the extreme, and going from Tobirama, to Madara, and back to Tobirama all in a row.
For another fic... the whole second arc of Trust in Reverse, which is a fic where Tobirama and Izuna were forced to marry, with the expectation that it would fail. The arc is all courtly drama and the two of them begrudgingly working together to figure out why it all happened in the first place (and learning to trust each other along the way :)) Not a scene exactly, but most of that fic is in the outline phase.
16 - Write the next 5 sentences and share. ...For every fic you say? (...I was gonna put a readmore here, but the text editor tumblr assigned me for this post wont allow it. So, sorry if this is annoying long)
Brothers in Bond
Before he could stew on that for too long, the door pulled open with a creak that was deafening in the relative silence of the room. Izuna scowled reflexively, unused to having to squint into the light -- not that it mattered. Whoever this was, they were wearing the same nondescript grey uniform and mask as the shinobi who had captured them in the first place. Two more, dressed the same, slipped in to flank door even as it was pulled closed and latched from the outside. The chain quietly scraped on the stone floor as Tobirama shifted his position to better study the new arrivals. Tight security, Izuna thought with a mental sigh, and shitty interrogation tactics.
Trust in Reverse
There is no greeting, but instead one handed gesture at the papers on the table. "Infrastructure plans." He explains, voice so flat that Izuna can't tell if he thinks if this is serious or all a ridiculous farce. "Utilities. We're inevitably going to have to share, since we're living so close, and moving forward without input from both sides is asking for trouble at this stage." No, he must think it's all bullshit if he's asking for Izuna's opinion on -- he glances down -- plumbing. He's not educated on sewer systems, aside from the one mission he'd taken to the capital that had required him to crawl through them for several hours. This is some kind of trap -- has to be.
Wood Tar, Charcoal, Ginger, and Honey
Tobirama doesn't show a hint of fear at a compound full of active sharingan tracking his movements, nor so much as react when he's searched for weapons. He easily hands over the pack of medical supplies he's brought, only raising an eyebrow at the challenging look that Hikaku gives him when a pack of senbon is pulled from an inside pocket. "You're free to have your own healers examine the contents, it all has medicinal use." He says evenly, the way he folds his arms betraying nothing but annoyance, "And I'm unlikely to need any of it right away." "Take it." Madara grunts with a wave of his hand, already gesturing for Tobirama to follow him. He doesn't have time for this, and Izuna certainly doesn't, either.
In the Corner of Another Room
Izuna can admit to enjoying a little luxury from time to time, but he's still a shinobi born and raised. He can pass as an air-brained nobleman when he has to, and even enjoy it, but excess still makes his skin crawl when he thinks about it too hard. The inn and onsen high up in the mountains is lovely, truly, but the price tag to stay there is most certainly not. Mission success will make this more than worth it, but his nagging guilt at the cost combined with the constant vigilance makes him unable to really sit back an enjoy it all. He could -- his mark isn't due to arrive for another few days, yet -- but Izuna was trained better than that.
Heart of Flowers
Madara slips into his office without knocking. It had taken him a while to figure it out, but Tobirama doesn't actually chew out everyone who comes in unannounced, just those who insisted on loudly interrupting his work. Madara would never pretend that he hadn't before, or that he never would again, but the village had helped him start to be patient in ways he'd never had to be before. He is, in fact, capable of not tearing out Tobirama's throat. These days he doesn't even want to, most of the time.
Fic Trio (Specifically, Ambitious Uses for Hands and Tongues)
His entire existence has whittled down to to the agonizing white-hot pulse of not-quite pain. At some point -- Izuna doesn't know when, he was already starting to lose time even when he was conscious -- the feeling spread, changing from something sharp into a full body prickly-numbness that made it impossible to think or to keep his eyes open. He'd always thought it'd be cold, but he feels warm, almost pleasantly so, except for the uncomfortable points of heat that are pressing into his side. Fingertips, he manages to dredge up after what might have been an age or might only have been moments. Who's touching me? And why doesn't it hurt?
Hand Over Hand Over Hand
He raps on the door anyway, and hefts the bottle he's brought along when it opens and Izuna appears in the crack, squinting meaningfully. He lights up at the sight of it -- it's umeshu, from the same brewer that Tajima used to buy from when he went into court; the cheaper stuff he drank himself, not the fancy gifts he presented the daimyo, and by extension, the stuff he hid under the floorboards that Izuna and Madara got drunk on for the first time. Madara got sick, Tajima forced him to train through it as punishment, and he's all but forbidden plum wine from the house ever since, but Hikaku knows Izuna still has a fondness for the stuff. He'd been planning to give it as a birthday gift, but he hadn't anticipated a need to apologize for all but supplanting Izuna from his previous life at the time, either. Nor did he think he'd be trying to learn about the man who was his rival and worst enemy.
What if Hashirama was Evil
Only when Madara's shadow falls across him does he look up, but his red eyes are glazed and uncomprehending, and his head lolls back to its awkward resting angle after only a moment, too tired or too uncaring to struggle. Madara looks him over more closely. He looks dirty and scuffed up like he's been in a fight, though all of the minor wounds have already stopped bleeding. He hasn't even been properly stripped of weapons, just stopped from moving by the wood wrapping his wrists together and his arms behind his back. Madara grimaces but kneels down and starts going through pockets. Much as he hates the idea of doing what's so obviously been planned for him to do, the fact of the matter is that he's got no information, and Tobirama almost certainly does.
