ALSO the keeper confirmed that he had 100% been planning on killing wyatt at the end of the last arc, and it's not like any of the characters have any reason to know this, but i'm. so so so so obsessed with characters who get denied death. you dont get to leave the narrative. you have to sit here and move forward with your relationship with your daughter who is also the deity of your church now and also the last time you had a conversation alone it ended with her having a panic attack, stabbing herself in the leg, and summoning an apocalyptic storm to destroy your town (the storm that should have destroyed you!!!!), and also now she wants to talk about her dead mom and you have to deal!!!!!! with the consequences of your actions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pairing - dad!daniel ricciardo x mom!reader
summary - when Daniel decides to let reader sleep in, he has to wrangle four girls to make it a stress free morning for his wife
a/n - Daniel and Carlos girl dad supreme; no judgement will be excepted 🤍 kid order : Adelaide (9), Cherish (7), Briar (5), Marina (2)
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“We have to be quiet if we don’t want to wake up mommy.”
“Why?”
Daniel sighs, pressing the back of his hand to his forehead. Now was when he questioned why toddlers were destined to have a ‘why?’ phase. Well, that’s why they called it the terrible twos he guessed.
Marina tilts her head to the side and opens her mouth. Right before she asks another question Daniel picks her up and sets her on his hip.
“No more questions okay?”
A chorus of okays and nods is what Daniel gets as a response. He grins and the girls giggle, happily clinging onto their father.
Daniel leads his little group into the living room and sits Marina and Briar on the couch. He quickly finds a show that will keep the two younger kids entertained and lowers the volume before turning to face Adelaide and Cherish.
“Can the two of you please get changed?” The two older girls nod and run off, their curls bouncing up and down.
Daniel takes out the basket that Y/n keeps in the drawer under the TV. In the basket are brushes and hair mousse, hair ties and scrunchies. Y/n thought it would be a good idea to keep some stuff in the living room since all four girls had inherited Daniel’s curly hair type.
Marina and Briar don’t even bother to protest as Daniel does their hair as their eyes are glued onto the TV screen. He fixes Marina’s curls into two braids and does Briar into a half-up-half-down style.
Adelaide and Cherish run back into the living room, changed and hair done. Adelaide braided her sister’s hair while she did her own hair in a simple ponytail.
“Daddy,”
“Hm?” Daniel turns his head to face Marina. The toddler blinks at her dad a few times before blowing a raspberry in his face.
Daniel and the girls burst into laughter and Marina giggles seeing that she had made her dad and sisters laugh. The five of them are so caught up in their moment that they don’t notice Y/n walk into the living room.
“Having fun without me?” She smiles, leaning against the door frame.
Daniel and the girls flip their heads around and smile when they see their mother and wife. Adelaide, Cherish, Briar and Marina all run towards their mother, leaving Daniel alone.
While the kids hug their mom, Daniel looks at his wife up and down. The way she’s holding Marina on her hip, Briar by her leg and just holding Adelaide and Cherish close to her. The fact that she’s wearing one of his sweatshirts and a pair of sweatpants make a smirk appear on his face.
“Uh, how about we go out for breakfast?” Y/n suggests, noticing the look in her husband’s eyes. She raises an eyebrow at him, a small smile appearing on her face.
Y/n gets answered by a chorus of yeses and cheers. She winks at Daniel and he blushes a little. The couple’s eyes never leave each other as the both go in different directions with two of their daughters.
This was going to be a fun day.

Past Rhysand x OC (Adelaide), Eventual Azriel x OC  Part 9 of Betrayal Oh my god Summary: Azriel’s Mother comes to visit Warnings: Domestic abuse, Azriel’s Father, Unhealthy family dynamics, Suicidal thoughts and ideology, Death of a loved one, Grief, Betrayal
Azriel loved his mother. Even as a boy locked in a darkened cell, the hour he got with her always made him feel like he was the luckiest to call Aisling his mother. The second he got the chance, around 100 years old, he had taken Rhysand and Cassian with him to force his father’s hand, freeing his mother from the Camp Lord’s abuse. He had thought their relationship would become even better, had thought he’d finally get a taste for what it was like to have his mom with him for more than an hour a week. But he hadn’t taken into account that as much as she loved him, as much as she wanted to finally be there for her child, Azriel looked like his father’s son.
That was part of the reason his father and step family hated him so. He looked so much like his father, far closer to him than either of his cruel half-brother’s did. Looked like him so much that in Aisling’s weakest moments, she couldn’t stand to look at her son, wearing the face of their shared abuser.
It hadn’t been something he had been prepared for. Years of fighting, of torture, of trauma, and his mother bursting into tears and throwing things at him in her worst of times had almost killed him. So he stayed away to protect her.
Even though she had gotten to the point where episodes like that were few and far in-between, Azriel had needed far more convincing to visit her. They had restored their relationship a lot in the past few hundred years, but any time he looked at his mother, he knew what she saw. The same thing he saw every time he looked in the mirror.
Whether it was a divine intervention of some sorts that took pity on the Shadowsinger, or whether his sheer hatred had done it alone, he had grown to resemble his dad far less. Where Azriel was classically beautiful, his father was brutally and cruelly so. Still, Azriel could never feel anything but hatred and resentment for that man when he looked at himself.
Nesta quickly left, deciding it was better to give the two a private reunion. She walked down to the room that had been quickly converted into a dining room, so the Inner Circle, as well as Helion, could stay close to both Az and Adelaide.
“How was he when he saw Aisling?” Rhysand asked. Nesta almost didn’t answer him, still extremely mad at Rhys for his treatment of both the Shadowsinger and Addie, but the look of pure despair and concern, along with the slightest glint of hope, pushed her to reply.
“He looked shocked, so I left quickly to let them hash it out.” She said as she sat down next to her mate, who put a comforting arm around her shoulder.
“Wouldn’t he be happy to see his mother? Why hadn’t she come sooner?” Feyre asked.
“They have a complicated relationship. Because of Azriel’s father’s abuse-” The High Lord of night began, till he was cut off by a bread roll thrown at his head.
“It is none of her business.” Mor hissed out.
Since the betrayal, even for a while before, Feyre hadn’t been on the best of terms with Adelaide. While Addie had been nothing but kind, Feyre saw her as an obstacle keeping her from her mate. When Feyre’s ill treatment towards her had reached its tipping point, causing Addie to run to Az in tears, Azriel had been less than amicable with his brother’s mate. It was also clear Feyre had seen his attempted resurrection of his best friend as nothing but an attack against her. She had become slightly more empathetic and understanding in the past few weeks, but that had only been because any sharp words from her about either of the best friends had led to fights with any of the Inner Circle, but especially Rhysand, who had been keeping his promise of working towards doing right by those he wronged.
Feyre huffed when she realized Rhysand wasn’t even going to speak an explanation into her mind, finding his mind shields impenetrable.
“Thesan said he had checked in with his mother at Rosehall to see how Aisling had been doing when we requested her presence. Apparently, she has been much better, but had been worried about Azriel when her letters went unanswered.” Helion spoke up.
Cassian deflated at that, he had seen Aisling’s letters piling up, knew that Az hadn’t been in the right state to answer. He should have known that his mother was probably the right person to call.
“She is here now. So we must make plans on what to do next. The High Lord has delegated enough work, both of you must go back and run your court.” Amren stated, staring down both Rhysand and Feyre. The youngest Archeron wanted nothing more than to return to her court, but Rhysand had been more weary, not wanting to leave Azriel vulnerable like he had before.
But now it wasn’t like before, not really. Rhysand knew Az had been in a dark, depressive state for months after Adelaide’s death. He had done nothing but the occasional check in or inquiry, to which he never got an answer from the Shadowsinger himself. Now, Az had hope that he would soon be reunited with his best friend. While he wasn’t in good physical condition, mentally he was on the mend. Plus, he had the best healers and scholars in Prynthian working around the clock to help the two of them, along with the Inner Circle to offer familiar comfort.
He knew he had to leave. He knew it was best to leave Az with people he actually wanted to see. Rhysand would have to work on gaining Azriel’s forgiveness later.
Right then, Aisling herself popped in, looking tired but content.
Only Rhysand and Cassian had met her, Amren knew of her existence and couldn’t truly say she wasn’t interested in the woman who created a son like Azriel, but she didn’t think it was her business, so she never cared to inquire more. While the Archerons had been left out of the loop for the most part, Nesta had learned of her existence and Azriel’s protectiveness over her after making a sharp comment about how the fact he never spoke of her must mean she wasn’t a very good mother, a comment she still deeply regretted, even though he had forgiven her a few times over. Mor on the other hand, had begged to meet her. Azriel had enthusiastically agreed many times, but Rhys had always intervened, knowing it was unfair of her to request to meet someone so deeply cherished by Azriel when Mor was knowingly playing with his feelings for her.
No one spoke as they waited for Aisling to break the silence. Popping down next to Cassian, who she had often referred to as her second son, she let out a somber and exasperated laugh.
“I will never understand it.” The Illyrian woman said.
No one spoke, until Feyre lost her patience with all the secrecy, “Understand what?”
Several glares from the Inner Circle were directed at the High Lady.
“His capacity for love.” Aisling answered. Once again the room fell silent, the reply like an arrow to the heart after their negligent treatment of the Shadowsinger. “I have no idea where he got it.” Cassian laughed, a clear ‘obviously he got it from his mother’ displayed in his expression. “I’m serious. Even before…” she trailed off, making vague hand gestures. Everyone knew what she wasn’t saying out loud, even before the abuse.
She took a deep breath and continued after a few moments, “I never truly believed in love as strong as his, never knew it was a possibility. Maybe it was Illyria, maybe it was my environment specifically. Maybe I wasn’t meant for romantic love. But Azriel had every right to grow up cruel, to end up hateful. No matter what bullshit he gives about the things he has done, he loves with his entire being.”
As she let a tear fall, Cassian reached for her hand on the table. “You look well, Aisling.”
She laughed, “Azriel makes me look young.” She hadn’t been prepared to see him, it had been decades since they had last met in person. After 50 years without communication with Rhysand keeping the Inner Circle stuck in Velaris, both had been weary as to how Aisling seeing him would go. They restarted their letters, promised to meet again “soon”, but when Adelaide died, Azriel had gone silent without any answer. Cassian and Rhysand had vaguely filled her in on why her son wouldn’t answer but with Az not talking to either of them, they couldn’t give much information. When she saw her son, he seemed to have aged hundreds of years in their time apart.
“Didn’t you have him when you were young? You are hardly older than any of us and far younger than Amren.” Helion inquired.
“I was 16 when I had him.” Several at the table shuttered at the thought.
Once more the room was filled with silent grief, a depressing situation getting far more depressing with each second. That was till Nesta spoke up.
“You mentioned romantic love. Does- Is Azriel in love with Adelaide?” The question seemed to suck all the air from the room. Of course he loved her, but was Az in love with Addie? The thought made Rhysand nauseous.
“I asked him. Seeing him look at her now, it isn’t the same as before.” Tension mixed with impatience made everyone unable to move. “He doesn’t know anymore. He said he didn’t before, or doesn’t believe he did. He just said he ‘woke up differently’. I’m unsure what he meant.” She explained.
Before anyone could speak up, a healer, who had been by Azriel’s side after his mother left, ran into the room. “She’s awake” was all that could be heard before a loud crash sounded from Adelaide’s room.
A/N: Aisling is pronounced Ash-Ling.

Some of the Best Things
Tumblr media
Main Masterlist Lando Masterlist
Pairing: Teen Mom! Girlfriend!female oc (Naomi) x Dad!Lando Norris
Warnings: Fluffy,
Summary: Some of the best things come in small packages and are not always planned. But that doesn't mean they are any less loved.
Requested: NO / yes
Tumblr media
Naomi and Lando had been together since they were 15, and young love that was said it would not last.
But they didn't know Naomi or Lando or the love they had for each other before they even knew what the word love meant.
Lando knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her because she was his support system even if he thought nothing of it.
When they were 16, a few months after their 1 year anniversary, Naomi learned she was pregnant with Lando's child.
Things were of course, difficult, but what no one expected was for Naomi's dad to kick her out when she told her parents. Her mom protested, but her father left and gave her 3 hours to get her stuff.
Her mom stayed behind to help get stuff, giving her a few things she had when she was a baby.
Naomi drove to Lando's house, leaving her mother wanting to do this alone.
When Lando's parents found out, they were shocked, but they supported her and Lando because they saw the love they had, and they knew things would get better.
When Naomi told them what her father did, they offered her to stay with them, knowing everything would work out in the end.
It did, get better, and everything worked out in the end.
On May 5th, 2015, twins, a boy and a girl, Milan and Verona Norris, were born at 8 in the morning.
It changed both of their lives, Lando and Naomi.
When they were 18 they got married after Lando signed McLaren.
In July 2020, during summer break, Naomi and Lando had their third child, Cairo.
Before the 2024 season, in January, they had another son, Lyon.
From Lando's first win on the twins' birthday came their daughter Adelaide.
Eventually that first win turned into a championship, and with that championship, Lando whispered something into Naomi's ear, "You are the best thing to happen, the kids too."
"The best things come in small packages," Naomi told him back as she kissed him.

Princess and Abbess, Matilda of Quedlinburg (955–999) expertly wielded religious and political power and served as a regent.
The Princess Abbess
Matilda was the only daughter of Holy Roman Emperor Otto I and Adelaide of Italy. In 966, at the age of 11, she was appointed abbess of Quedlinburg Abbey, founded by her grandmother, also named Matilda.
She was consecrated in an exceptionally grand ceremony attended by the entire imperial family and all the bishops of Germany. Since only her metropolitan bishop’s presence was required, this elaborate display suggests that her father intended to associate her with his authority. Matilda received the title suae metropolitanae sibi haereditariae, which hinted at episcopal powers.
In 968, Widukind of Corvey dedicated his Res gestae saxonicae (Deeds of the Saxons) to Matilda, aiming to teach her the art of governance through the examples of her ancestors.
A skillful politician
While her father and brother were in Italy until 972, Matilda exercised some form of government. Widukind referred to her as the “mistress of all Europe,” noting that she “shone with imperial majesty” and was “exalted by the extraordinary achievements of her father.”
Her influence only grew during her brother Otto II’s reign. From the start of his rule, Matilda’s name appeared on his statutes, and she managed his holdings. Otto II often visited Quedlinburg, publicly affirming her political role. In 980, she accompanied him to Rome.
Collective queenship
After Otto II’s death in 983, Matilda collaborated with her mother, Adelaide, and sister-in-law, Theophanu, to secure the throne for the three-year-old Otto III. The Annals of Quedlinburg referred to these three women as dominae imperiales, hinting at a shared regency and queenship.
However, their unity was short-lived. Matilda returned to Quedlinburg while Theophanu acted as regent. In 984, Matilda convened a synod at the abbey and later commissioned a church in memory of her brother.
A last regency
After Theophanu’s death, Matilda appeared regularly in her nephew’s decrees between 991 and 997. When Otto III traveled to Italy between 997 and 999, he entrusted the regency to Matilda. The Annals of Quedlinburg referred to her as a “vice-empress.”
She was also given the title matricia, likely a feminine adaptation of patricius, denoting an imperial representative in the emperor’s absence. Contemporary accounts praised her "astounding wisdom", her efforts to maintain peace, and her skill in strengthening the empire’s foundations.
Matilda passed away in 999.

"Mommyyy."
Y/n sighed, bowing her head and rubbing her eyes, water dripping from her fingers. She had only just gotten into the bath and Adelaide already missed her?
"Yes my love?" she called out.
"Where are you?"
"In the bath, baby."
Adelaide’s response was only the soft pitter patter of her feet as she ran into the bathroom, the door unlocked because Y/n knew her little girl loved following her around and if she had locked the door, it would have resulted in a tiny tantrum.
"Mommy, where is daddy?"
Adelaide had returned from school half an hour earlier, the car ride back home filled with her babbling about everything that had happened that day. Y/n had no choice but to nod along like she understood it all, while half the stuff she could not even make sense of.
It made her wonder if she even knew english.
Y/n raised her brows at her five year old. She only just remembered that her daddy was not home?
"Baby, daddy had some work. He will be returning soon."
Adelaide pouted, leaning against the tub and swirling her finger through the milky water.
"I miss him."
Y/n nodded solemnly. "Do you want me to call him?"
Adelaide’s eyes lit up. "Yes momma! Please."
Y/n wiped her hand on a nearby towel and picked up her phone to dial up her husband’s number.
"Hello?"
Y/n had the call on speaker phone, so before she could respond, Adelaide did.
"Daddy! Where are you?"
Y/n could hear the smile in Grayson’s voice. "I’m just parking the car sweetheart. Come greet me?"
Adelaide only giggled and ran off, leaving the bathroom door open. Y/n sighed again, shaking her head.
Adelaide was a daddy’s girl through and through. And he was just as smitten by her as she was him.
Y/n would never want it any other way.
"You there, love?"
Y/n blinked, turning her attention to her phone. "Yes."
He paused for a moment. "I forgot what I was supposed to say." he exhaled a frustrated breath, prompting Y/n to giggle.
From the other end, Y/n heard Adelaide’s voice squeaking and squealing and smiled, deciding to end the call. Her husband would soon be coming to say hi anyway.
My husband.
Despite being married for four years already, the thought made her blush every time.
The two had gotten married almost a year after he had proposed. It took the two almost twelve months to convince Liam and her father that Grayson actually loved Y/n. Y/n’s mother, despite being disappointed in Grayson, had forgiven him quickly.
Maybe she saw the way Grayson looked at Y/n, or maybe it was her mother’s heart that only wanted happiness for her daughter. Whatever it was, she had accepted the two’s engagement within the first month. It was the men of the house who still held a grudge.
Y/n’s father and brother would constantly poke at Grayson, at times borderline bully the poor man. But Gray did not budge on his decision to marry her, even knowing that there was a chance that her family would never accept him and always hold animosity towards his very existence.
And that very determination of his to stay with Y/n swayed her father and brother, and while they still weren’t too friendly with him still, things were constantly getting better.
"Mommy’s in there." Y/n heard just a moment before Grayson appeared in the doorway, Adelaide in his arms.
His brows rose the tiniest fraction when he realised Y/n was in the tub. "Well, hello mama. How are you?"
Y/n shook her head, suppressing her smile at the way he shot her a suggestive smirk. "Good."
Adelaide squirmed in Grayson’s arm before he could say anything else, attention already drifting.
"Daddy, I drew you in school today. Let me show you."
She was gone then, leaving Y/n with her husband, who’s lips spread in a flirtier smirk.
He walked closer to her, leaning in while eyeing her shoulders. Y/n could already see the gears in his head turning, already thinking of ways to persuade Y/n to let him join. He began leaning in when she splashed some water on him, making him jerk away.
"Y/n! What was that for?"
She giggled, leaning back in the tub, shaking away the few tendrils of hair that had escaped her bun. "Just felt like it."
He scowled at her, then before Y/n knew what was happening, he began tickling her.
Well, I didn’t think about the consequences.
"Gray- Grayson stoop."
He finally relented after a long moment of making Y/n laugh hysterically, her stomach squeezing.
If anyone who had known Grayson five years ago saw him now, so happy and warm, they would not believe it. But Adelaide had somehow, without even knowing, healed her father. He was happier now, he did not hide his emotions behind a mask, he smiled at everyone he talked to.
"That’s what you get for being mean to me."
She just smiled at him, her heart so full, and grabbed the collar of his shirt, not caring that she left behind prints of her hand, and tugged him close.
He let her do so without a complaint, smile on his lips when she finally kissed him.
"Daddy!"
Y/n pulled away, laughing lightly. "Go, daddy, your princess has summoned you."
He chuckled back, standing straight, but seemed to change his mind as he pecked her lips once more. "I’m yours."
Random confessions of love had become a habit of his now.
Kissing her forehead once he jogged out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. Leaving her to smile to herself like a giddy teenager.
Mine.
He’s mine.

I abdicate the title of empress is the better version of remarried empress
Spoiler:
First let me introduce you to the main characters
1. Diane and Adelaide
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The antagonist and the protagonist
2. Lionel and Karl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ML and the antagonistic emperor
Everything about this story including the villains are better solely because of their economic background.
No slave character is the main villain here.
Diane the female antagonist comes from a noble family and ML doesn't fall for MC at first sight simply for breathing.
The male villain is also refreshing in a way that's a bit different from others. He's written to be hated but his actions make sense but the author doesn't try to excuse them either.
No punching down on underprivileged characters like Rashta.
The FL Adelaide is not an unfeeling uncaring empress and she cares for her people instead of just catering to the nobles like Navier. She knows she's not perfect and tries her best to sympathize with Diane and her situation while acknowledging Diane's faults too.
She's also a maze like Navier but unlike her, her magic isn't stolen from common people and she actually goes out in the field to help her people.
Tumblr media
She's not image obsessed like Navier but knows how to play political games
Tumblr media
She knows she's the third person between Diane and Karl as Diane was there first and Karl's first love. (Funny how the fandom still hates Diane despite her not breaking a home. It really tells you those Rashta and Diane antis suffer from MC syndrome, no media literacy).
Her family relationship with her mom is turbulent and her mother reminds me of Navier in a way. She is very cold and calculative like Navier and to her, nobles and politics and image comes first then the people which ultimately drove a wedge between them and she forced her daughter to abdicate and marry her off to a foreign emperor.
Adelaide as an MC has earned my respect. Is she perfect? No. But her choices and actions are explained. Like Diane, she too is trying to survive and for that she also acknowledges Diane's struggles and tries to give her leniency many times.
As for Diane, she comes from a count's family and is very much aware of the political games. She's even aware of the emperor's messed up obsession with her. She's very vindictive and capable and ambitious. Her mistake was to go against Adelaide. She never hid her intentions from Adelaide.
Tumblr media
She's sometimes outright crazy and I love her for it. Like yes! Give us a capable deranged villainess who's deranged in the head! Thank you author!
When her inevitable fall appears, she doesn't go down alone, she takes the emperor with him and that alone made her hundred percent badass in my eyes. Like yes girl! Don't let that man get away after screwing you up and she kills the emperor herself.
And the emperor Karl
Tumblr media
Two words: mommy issues
Dude is all about mommy issues and it's very messed up. He falls for Diane as she reminds him of her biological mom who died and he was raised by his step mom who was forced to raise him by his father. He basically sees his mom in Diane and she's very much aware and plates the game well.
But Karl's mommy issues don't stop there. He sees his step mom whose affection he sought as a child in Adelaide.
Basically both women in his life represent his bio and step mom. He never really loves either of those women and in the end tries to go after Adelaide's heart and Diane makes sure to take revenge on him by killing him with her. Diane is basically yandere herself 😂.
And I loved their toxic ending. They're entertaining and refreshing. I wish Rashta took Sovieshu with her too. But unlike Sovieshu, Karl is inept as an emperor as he often ignores his people's needs and yells at Adelaide for helping them just like her mom. He basically is the male version of her mom and probably why she hates him too.
Sovieshu had many faults but he wasn't this messed up in the head and definitely didn't have a weird thing for his mom. But I said Karl is refreshing in a psychological way. He's bad but new, instead of being the typical falling for MC for no reason, he sees his step mom in her and falls for her.
And he's a very bad emperor as he doesn't do his job well either. Sovieshu was a workaholic but he's mommyholic. 💀
The story really focuses on how parents can mess up their children in a gigantic way.
Now ML Lionel
Tumblr media
He's not emperor rather the brother of a Duke. Unlike birdshit, he actually cares for the wellbeing of the people. And he doesn't fall for Adele at first sight. He admires her bravery, good will and doesn't act like catty little bitch like birdshit. Unlike heinly's fake ass, Lionel is actually a puppy but capable. He slowly falls for MC even though their relationship started as fake to distract the emperor.
Funnily enough he too was a concubine to Adelaide like Diane was to Karl. He doesn't plot to harm others for the greed power. His relationship with Adelaide is cute.
Anyways, I loved the story and the battle between two badass ladies.
Tumblr media
Adelaide won fair and square and Diane went out with a bang. And I love that.
It's not perfect but it's way better than TRE.
Also ignore the Diane haters. They can't appreciate a good villain even when it's thrown on their faces.

Reintroducing Charlotte "Charlie" Barnett (& Jake "Hangman" Seresin) in "Take My Breath Away" (Top Gun Maverick - OFC)
"Don't worry, I have no intention of going home with this guy." - "Good. Remember, flyboy..." - "... is actually spelled F-U-C-K-B-O-Y, I know." - "He does look like a spectacular lay though." - "That's very helpful, Kate."
Charlie Barnett has no desire to ever date again. After the absolute disaster that was her last relationship it's taken her almost a year - including a move back in with her father after throwing in the towel on her coveted surgical residency and going back to her old summer job as a bartender at the Hard Deck - to put the pieces of her broken heart back together. And she can't even begin to imagine giving it to someone new - least of all to some cocky pilot who thinks he's god's gift to mankind.
But Jake "Hangman" Seresin is used to getting what he wants and he's nothing if not persistent.
In the end they both get more than they bargained for...
New title, new blurp and an old set, because I am attached to Adelaide as Charlie and I have a terrible case of the "Missing Them™️"

Adelaide, Dowager Princess of the Isle (1847-1939)
Adelaide and her husband Charles enjoyed a remote honeymoon at Tregaron Castle on the Isle. Adelaide spent time reading while Charles was secluded in his rooms and went on occasional hunting trips with his friends. When Adelaide and Charles returned to San Myshuno he abruptly left, taking up residence at Dunkeld Palace in Victoria. Adelaide found herself alone raising his children as her own. Charles could never look at his daughters without thinking of their mother Maria Christina whom he dearly loved. After losing his father, his fiance, his first wife, and two children, Charles was never open to loving anyone ever again and distanced himself from his new wife and surviving children. Adelaide dedicated herself to raising Princess Alexandra who would one day become Queen of Windenburg and San Myshuno.
Like Maria Christina, Adelaide preferred spending time with family rather than at court. Adelaide organized a strict curriculum for her stepdaughters, employing tutors and professors from the top universities in the country. Adelaide frequently wrote letters to Charles and Queen Mary, updating them on the children. In December 1874, Charles visited his daughters for the last time at San Myshuno Palace. Charles had gifted his daughters new toys and dresses from Magnolia, gifts they would cherish forever. Adelaide believed that Charles's health had improved and seemed to be in "better spirits", however in February 1875, the Prince died from an illness. Charles had planned to return to Honey House and move in with his wife and daughters, however, he caught a fever which led to his eventual death.
Adelaide comforted the Queen during her grief and lived with her for months at the San Myshuno Palace. Adelaide was now raising the heir to the throne, Alexandra, whom Mary had turned her attention to. Mary saw herself in young Alexandra and believed she needed to be taken under her wing. Adelaide and her stepdaughters would spend months out of the year with Queen Mary at Statford Castle where the young princess would be educated.
In 1875, with the death of Queen Mary II, Alexandra became Queen. Adelaide became the most senior member of the royal court, after Alexandra, and was thrust into the position of a society hostess. Although Adelaide considered herself an introvert and preferred the company of her immediate family, she helped her stepdaughter entertain at the palace. Adelaide became one of Alexandra's senior advisers and was in charge of her household. Adelaide became the matriarch of the royal family by the time Alexandra's children were born. Adelaide helped Alexandra raise her children and took a huge role in their lives. Adelaide helped arrange the marriage of most of her grandchildren, including the marriage of the future King Albert II and Princess Marina of Brindleton.
Adelaide remained at Honey House for the majority of her life and continued to make improvements and renovations to the house. Adelaide turned the over 200-year manor into a shrine to the royal family and spent the rest of her life restoring the house. Honey House became the center of the royal family, with Adelaide's grandchildren visiting the house almost every week. In the 1930s, Adelaide moved into Kingston Palace to be taken care of by her stepdaughter, Princess Charlotte.
Adelaide continued to appear at family functions and official events concerning the royal family. Adelaide devoted much of her time to charities and organizations which she became the patron of including the Windenburg Disabled Veterans Fund, which she she established after the Tartosan Wars in 1905.
Princess Adelaide was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1938 and later died in 1939, leaving the royal family heartbroken. Queen Alexandra once remarked that the death of her stepmother was the greatest loss of her life. Alexandra's daughter, Princess Adeline, commissioned a statue of Princess Adelaide outside Honey House following her death. Adelaide was given a state funeral held at St. Bartholomew's Cathedral which was attended by 1500 guests. Alexandra had a mausoleum constructed at the Royal Burial Ground where Adelaide was buried.
