Man I still remember how much I fervently hated Dante the first time I encountered him, now he's one of my favorite characters and EnEi is how one of my top pairings as well..

Dante has become such a breath of fresh air for me. I love tsunderes and characters that have trouble voicing their emotions due to pride or fear (which is why I also adore Edmond), but the problem with that is that I end up seeing SO MANY characters that are just. Straight up assholes?? And I end up confused on why anyone would be attracted to them at all. Dante started off as that, a prick who just so happens to be very attractive, thus giving him a pass for people that I rlly don't understand.

BUT THAT CHANGED, BITCHES! I love Dante!!! His ego and self-confidence is backed up by his accomplishments and capabilities, his impatience and need for perfection is caused by him being a solitary and young ruler of a country, and- best part- he actually interacts pretty well with other clan members!! Usually, with characters like these, they're assholes to the main protagonist while basically being invisible to other character that aren't there to elevate them. But it isn't like that!!! Dante is respectful and doesn't belittle anyone unless they've done something to upset him, doesn't judge anyone upon first impression, he's straightforward and a bit blunt, but he's a nice dude.

But oh I love Dante most when he's with Eiden. I love the tiny arguments, I love the pettiness and I oh so love how down bad Dante actually is. He's good at composing himself and keeping himself together on the surface but it's easy to see just how much Eiden flusters him, how much Eiden occupied his mind and such. When Eiden shows him affection, it's not Dante flat out rejects it. He acts like he's rejecting, but more often than not he loses his mind over it. Dante adores Eiden so much I genuinely believe that if there is a talk about Dante needing to get married or produce an heir, Eiden would be the first person on his mind and he's going to hate (love) it. We already got Dante losing his cool when Eiden jokingly refers to himself as Dante's bride to rile him up, it's only a matter of time..

Tldr; Dante's great, actually and he should get married to Eiden as soon as possible for maximum EnEi cuteness

random nellis headcanons pt 1

- ellis talks in his sleep and snores rlly bad, whereas nick is what i call a vampire sleeper (stays on his back all night and barely moves, is a light sleeper/struggles to even fall asleep, etc) which means most of the time they can’t actually sleep together. more so nick can’t fall asleep with ellis lmfao but they’ll cuddle until ellis knocks out then nick sneaks away, tho thankfully it’s not a problem cuz ellis sleeps hard throughout the entire night so he doesn’t even notice (if he did he’d be sad :c)

- ellis definitely has more stamina than nick. even though nick may act like ellis’ youthful demeanor is annoying, he eventually starts to feel it rubbing off on him. sometimes being with him makes him feel younger. being in his mid thirties doesn’t make him old at all, however with his previous and current lifestyle he definitely feels older than he is. spending time with ellis makes him feel like hes in his twenties again (in every context c;)

- nick is kinda kinky, ellis not so much however he’s always down to try new things!! nick is the perfect person for this lol. i feel like they would experiment a lot, and eventually ellis would develop his own kinks. he comes off as an oral fixation and choking kinda guy but specifically being on the receiving end. nick on the other hand.. he pervert he likes almost everything lmao

- ellis is a lover of all animals, wild and domesticated. nick on the other hand not so much other than cats. i feel like everything would irritate him/he just doesn’t have any interest in them. cats tho?? he would never admit it, but he’s a cat dude for sure

- i like to imagine in a normal life au ellis would be the breadwinner while nick a housewife LOL ellis would work at the shop while nick stays home and does all the domestic duties. this is mainly because nick doesn’t want to get a normal job and ellis won’t let him con lol so he kinda has no choice but to stay home. ellis tried to teach him his mechanic ways but nick wasn’t interested lol

- going more into the male wife nick au, he wouldn’t hate it. he’d take it so seriously, making sure their house was the nicest on the block, that their house was spotless and ellis would come home to delicious elaborate meals every night. he’s good at what he does however i feel like he would have ocd about it and it would start to affect their relationship in a way. eventually ellis would have to sit him down and be like nick.. i grew up in a trailer park full of junkies and workin girls.. we are livin like kings for the love of christ please Chill Out

- if they ended up having a kid nick would absolutely be a helicopter parent. ellis the complete opposite. nick leaves ellis in charge of their kiddo and comes back to them about to do flips off the roof into the pool. nick crashed out so hard he popped a blood vessel in his eye

- if they had a girl i feel like she would develop more of ellis’ personality traits/habits/quirks. however if they had a boy i feel like he would be a mix of both of them and that’s.. not exactly a good thing LOL he would be unstoppable..

- them drunk together is Not Ideal.. ellis gets super happy and chaotic and dumb while drunk, whereas in the beginning nick is happy, but is quick to get angry and wanna fight. when this happens instead of trying to calm nick down or diffuse the situation, ellis instigates and will always fight besides him lolol

alright so. Eidy.

Eidy is a girl w the cat tf, but also a crossdresser for the fun of it, he goes by any pronouns but generally is viewed as a guy (as intended) and ends up hearing he/him more than anything

Eidy does NOT live in the orphanage, has never even seen Bailey before, but does go to school. sometimes. most of the time he's in the moor, in alleyways or in the forest, looking for stuff to sell at the museum. (he knows abt the landfill and the potential goldmine there, but he's bad at talking himself out of situations so he just avoids it..)

if there is one thing Eidy is good at it's running away from situations. he can't talk himself out of anything but you bet he can out-run most people. and if he can't out-run them he can probably find something to climb up on.

he makes himself scarce SO quickly. avoids any and all confrontation if possible.

but that also makes it so that he doesn't really Know anyone, and nobody really knows him. sure, people have seen him around town in the alleys and at the museum, but Eidy doesn't really make contact with people. the only people he's made contact with are Winter (history teacher/museum), Gwylan (forest shopkeeper), Great Hawk (only briefly a few times) and Nasha (the other pc / oc)

Eidy has no friends fr

he's rlly into history and historical artifacts !! and that means hes also drawn to the lake. bc of the rumors that go around yk

but he does not like swimming at all so he doesn't know whether the rumors surrounding it are true or not…

he's also just very hairy. but all dol mods seem to be afraid of body hair. not that you'd be able to see it bc he's covered from head to toe BUT STILLL it's an important detail </3 !!!!!!

Nasha !!!

her lore is a lot more complicated than Eidy's...

Eidy's lore is basically just "catgirl moves to DoLtown and crossdresses. likes history. doesn't interact w ppl much" and then Nasha comes in with identity theft, coercion, human experimentation, etc etc

Nasha is the result of human experimentation done by Harper and their associates at the asylum; Nasha used to be just some very unfortunate dude who had his brain turned to mush by Dr Harper, this resulted in Harper being able to "create" a new person, which was Nasha as we know her now

Harper mostly left Nasha alone, though, as she was more of a side-project 😭 (after it was clear she'd become a success) but that allowed her to become her own person rather than Just Harper's Creation

Harper DID make sure to encourage Nasha to dress up and dye her hair n use makeup and all that, because the guy that 'owned' the body before is literally gone, that dude straight up doesn't exist anymore and now Nasha is piloting his body

so the identity theft was accidental (on Nasha's part), the coercion is entirely on purpose bc Nasha 'gets' subjects for Harper to experiment on, and the human experimentation is what she's a result of + smth she participates in by proxy

i would not say Nasha is a trans woman though, bc she never had the experience of being perceived as male, despite being in a male body

she doesn't rlly gaf tho, Harper gives her estrogen and money in exchange for a job well done, and furthermore she's free to do as she wants

(the estrogen's cause she does wanna look more feminine !! but that's an aesthetic preference rather than an actual gender thing

she made friends with Eidy when he ended up in an alley near a house party, where she approached him bc she assumed he was 'like her' (he isn't)

they hit it off quite well, though ! Eidy knew things Nasha was interested in, and Nasha was just incredibly gorgeous to Eidy

Nasha DOES actually go to school, unlike Eidy who doesn't pull up most of the time. Nasha doesn't go to school on fridays though (her work day)

it does get her in trouble (bc of the missed tests) and so she usually has to stay extra long on mondays or thursdays

And like, the thing is it is absolutely something you need to do your research on and actually try to UNDERSTAND if you're going to do anything with it, but it's also something that I feel... Genuinely makes... A lot of sense for his character, and should be an aspect included in more of his stories. I feel like more people are understanding and acknowledging he's a fundamentally traumatized and mentally ill character and you really can't divorce him from that without changing him entirely and giving NO reason for Why He's Like This aside from ... Idk... Immaturity, but I feel like a reliance and addiction to drugs, specifically sleeping pills in the comics and the YJ cartoon, is something that.. fits, very clearly, into the other patterns of Who He Is.

Like, he's experienced non stop trauma since an extremely young age, he's been a victim of abuse, which means he almost DEFINITELY has nightmares like probably every other hero out there. he canonically has anger issues he tries REALLY HARD to keep under control but his inner monologue and when he's alone he gets very negative, and sometimes lashes out at people who, usually, just want to help. he's depressed, he seems to struggle to make genuine connections with people even tho he desperately needs closeness and affection (probably part of why he acts so flirty, he wants physical closeness but lacks the stability to really let himself get close emotionally, his goofy nature is also a way to keep people at a distance without pushing them away completely. He wants them close, but not close enough to see who he actually is), he canonically jokes all the time because otherwise he would be depressed, so he's always running from his real feelings by putting on a mask and pretending to be something he's not, or at least a different version of himself that isn't totally genuine (it's an aspect of him, sure, he is genuinely a fun loving silly guy, but most of the time it's also just... A self defense mechanism from reality and HIMSELF) and so much more like. Idk man.

All of that adds up to a very traumatized person with avoidant tendencies who actively tries not to think about anything bad, sad, upsetting, and... That's all stuff that often leads people towards dependence and addiction of various kinds. You see it in other characters like Roy Harper for all the same reasons, tbh... They're actually pretty similar dudes depending on what versions you're looking at. Same w Dick Grayson, tho afaik he's never had a drug problem, Im p sure he HAS has alcohol problems.

All of them were just silly ass kids who got into the hero business way too young, had awful shit happen to them before and/or during, and did what they had to do to try to cope.

If anything I've said about Roy or dick is incorrect, pls correct me! I don't know their lore quite as well as I know my Dear Boy, Garfield's... But I do think that despite the difference in age (which rlly isn't much, especially once they're all adults) these three could all probably get a lot out of like. Just. Talking to each other. Mask off, literally, no sugarcoating, they all know how shit REALLY works, they could be honest with each other, ykno? But also I think gar and dick should fist fight in a Denny's parking lot at 3 am. Does that make sense?

(also btw most references I make to "canon" are what was true prior to all the retcons, so anything from 1960s-2011 I believe? Bc everything they did with him since then except for a few things more recently have been absolute trash garbage, they're only in the last few years actually taking the character seriously again and still haven't really... Normalized ? To like... A consistent level of seriousness and consistent lore and shit. So at first Brad’s crush is more so “oh he’s pretty” and doesn’t go too much deeper than that, but by the time they’ve got at least one Golden Weapon down he’s getting pretty down bad

Lloyd on the other hand takes until Brad basically fucking dies to realize his own feelings. It’s very slow burn with this guy. Idrk how to describe it but best way I can explain is that Lloyd falls in love through a mix of Brad like treating him like an actual person, taking account of what he actually wants, and because he makes Lloyd feel human. I’ve said it before but Lloyd is envious of humanity bc he doesn’t want to be like his divine family, and Brad makes him feel human. There’s also the fact that Brad a) literally always put himself in front of Lloyd (physical and metaphorical shield ayooo) and b) will literally always come for him. Doesn’t matter if he’s pissed off, doesn’t matter if it puts him in a stupid amount of danger, Brad will ALWAYS come for Lloyd (which, for a guy with abandonment issues, is Pretty Hot)

Also on Lloyd asking Brad to turn him into a sword: Lloyd can’t shapeshift on his own, it has to be an order. Eventually, through their bond, it turns into more of a suggestion from Brad’s end that Lloyd willingly listens to - some grey area of the curse. But the first time it happens, they get cornered by a group of Oni and Lloyd’s like “dude martial arts and novice katana skills are NOT gonna cut it here” so he makes Brad use the sword bc otherwise Brad gets killed and Lloyd gets taken back to his father (or used by the Oni at present). From there, they decide that for Brad’s continued Not Death (bc Lloyd kinda needs the guy to break his curse) Brad has blanket permission to turn Lloyd into whatever weapon he needs in life-or-death situations. Eventually tho they start fighting like. Like Brad will just no verbally turn Lloyd into a human mid javelin throw and Lloyd kicks whoever they’re fighting in the face it’s great

i know a lot of people just wanted simon redemption but it just didn't fit. he wasn't the type a guy who would change just like that. even when he wanted kitty back in the end , he only wanted them bc of what they meant to johnny not bc he actually cared abt them or had a change of heart. his heart wasn't in the right place.

i was sort of stuck with two options; force it and superglue a puzzle together using the wrong pieces to make everyone happy or figure smthn else out.

so i narrowed down my options for an ending. i could give johnny and kitty an ending somehow or i could focus on simon getting a bad ending bc it's what he deserved. i wanted simon to SUFFER bc he was AWFUL so i went that route. and unfortunately johnny was a casualty in that quest.....but i didnt want simon to have a redemption 😭 tho by the end i did feel quite bad for the guy but also FUCK HIM!!!!

anyway i didn't rlly have any plans to make an alternate ending or anything bc i honestly don't rlly know how to make it work!!!

disclaimer: I haven’t watched the entirety of season 3 yet! I’m just talking about the first maybe 4 episodes I’ve seen so far. And my highlights of what I liked/disliked about them. This isn’t a comprehensive analysis or explanation of all of the aspects I just wanted to talk bout specific things

Okay so firstly! I love frak, frak is great, Sora is good I suppose idk she’s fine I don’t care for her too much. Zane lore! We finally have confirmation that he doesn’t have taste buds which is kinda weird because obviously he doesn’t he’s not organic, but this implies he has no ability to taste at all. Which is weird considering we see him enjoy food on several occasions and that would imply he can taste it, right? I mean he can dream and so far more complicated things, I feel like it makes sense he has some sort of taste ability, though it was used as a one off gag about Soras pies so maybe it’s not true? Like an unreliable narrator situation? Not sure why Zane would lie about that though. Also why did he seem so turned off by Frohickys swamp tea if he can’t taste? I dunno it feels weird to me, like the whole Zane breathing thing (he canonically has lungs) but I digress. I’ll still be going by my headcanon of him having the ability to taste but it’s just really basic and limited.

Zane referring to Pixal as the smartest most attractive member of the team was amazing. I love their dynamic.. gosh I love Pixal and Zane so much they’re so.. cute!!

Now for the meat and potatoes

Anyway. Breadcrumbs include!! Zane getting reaaaaallly excited when he found Pixal!! He stimmed a lot in his own way, mimicking the voices of his friends to showcase them all to Pixal like an excited child. It was so wholesome and great! And it also highlighted how much Zane has been struggling recently, and that Pixal has been the only person that’s given him hope and allowed him to push forward, her voice in his mind while he does things, and worries.

Zane having more of his sarcasm and silliness :] Guessing what the bad guys would say, so peak!

And also Pixal being a badass we love her slay girl we love u so much. She’s great guys she’s amazing.

Zane talking about how he loves the other ninja but Pixal is the only one that thinks like him and gets him.

Lloyd actually defending Zane!! Like he stands up for him, points out how Zane is a person! With emotions!! And feelings and everything. When frak says otherwise.

Go Lloyd! I never really cared for u too much but you’re kinda growing on me a little. Dragons rising rlly helps his characterisation tbh

Tho! I am!! Annoyed!! Because whilst it is super in character for Zane’s first instinct to be another ||suicidal|| act of pointless self sacrifice when there’s clearly other ways to save the day. I get it his core programming is “protect those who cannot protect themselves” but someone really needs to stop him from pointlessly injuring and or killing himself just to save something or someone. Care about yourself too dude! Man really has no regard for his own safety.

It felt rushed towards the end, the writers don’t like to give us crotons of Information and angst, having the most important narrative element! Characters reacting to their trauma and the pain and problems they’ve faced, oough I just want some detailed right in ur face angst. Ok so like at first after reading May's unckuna fic End Of Beginning I rlly wanted 2 make a modern no curse au fic of my own. Smth about sukuna and his dysfunctional emotionally unavailable and horrifically traumatized ass taking care of jins kid has a special place in my heart fr... and then ofc at first I had an au where I ramp up all the dark shit 2 like 1000000 billion.

At some point I'm not feeling the au bc it got super dark and I needed smth new after I saw the end of jjk. So I made a new au with my fixation about yuji being a basketball player with the idea of him having the same issues as me, and then I realized he wouldn't be scared of the same shit as me so i changed it again. I made it itafushi...

The way this idea occurred was bc one day I was watching a SHIT TON of r/inceltears and r/niceguys on it and it inspired me alot. Also nerd x jock thing...?? Yeah I put a stupid little twist 2 it and made megumi and incel.

BEFOR PEOPLE THROW TOMATOES AT ME, REMEMBER THIS WAS AN IDEA THAT WAS LIKE "lmao that would be so funny if megumi was a bitter incel and yuji was an allstar basketball player that everyone loved... omg he would hate him fr." And then boom the au started... it was a crackfic of an idea spawned by stupid hyperfixation on incel misery and at first I wasn't even gonna write about it.

The more I thought and talked about it the more in depth it became dude... like I've BEEN friends with an actual incel and I was in a rlly bad situation bc of it so I kinda wanted 2 base my expirence with those kinds of people in the fics. Then I started researching.... and hyperfixating and uhhhh then it spiraled out of control bc my autism said that IT NEEDS 2 MAKE SENSS 2 IRL ISSUES AND "OHHH I CAN TACKLE THE HARM THAT ONLINE SEXUALIZATION OF WOMEN AND MYSOGONY HAPP3NS!! I CAN TAKLE CONCEPTS OF PEER PRESSURE WITH PEOPLE ON DISCORD AND SHOW A CHARACTER SPIRALING 2 THE DARK SIDE FROM THEIR OWN STUPIDITY ON THE INTERNET!! I CAN SHOW TEEN VICTIMS WHAT ITS LIKE GETTING IN AND HEALIMG FROM THOSE SITUATIONS!!"

And then I started taking it super srsly... crack treated srsly tag will need 2 be added ig...

Main premise of the fic is this.

Megumi is an incel and yuji is the allstar on the basketball varsity team. Best of the best.

Megumi hates yuji bc he's jealous and bc he's insecure, hating on a "typical chad" bc being an angry bitter loner is easier to take out on someone else (who's a stranger) than trying to figure out what's wrong, let alone fix his issues. Meanwhile yuji wants to be Megumis friend soooo bad that it's embarrassing how many times yuji tries 2 start a conversation with him.

Yuji don't realize that megumi hates him so he tries 2 talk and at some point (begrudgingly) they become friends(?) !

Yuji finds out slowly but surely about all of megumis problems and tries 2 help him heal from it all. Not gonna say 2 much but like imagine an absolute loser who wants 2 die and is a walking red flag and u have megumi.

Yujis favorite color IS red tho so... yeah jokes aside yiji sees the good in him blah blah blah he's gonna save him in every universe and oh btw did I mention that megumi has awful emotional regulations around yuji??? Bc he's the only one that wouldn't run away from him or be disgusted with him?? I also looked into like alot of autistic behaviors for teens and shit so he fits the bill perfectly.
