Menstrual Prayer to the Nonbinary Moon

Against Dysphoria

I call you, triple-faced goddess Mene, O light-beloved Hermes and Hekate at once, Male-female child together.1

Moon beyond all binary Silver and gold Black and white And red like the blood I bleed now.

Let me, Mirror of Heavens, Look into your shining face. So, gazing upon my reflection, I may remember - Though others may try to define me, I am nothing else But myself.

This prayer was written by a nonbinary person who menstruates to help alleviate dysphoria by connecting with the Moon in a nonbinary form. Neither involving menstruation in witchcraft nor menstruating at all is not neccessary to be a witch or to work with the Moon. I am transgender and this post is not for terfs and other bioessentialists.

When the caffeine you drank in a rush comes back to bite you,

Or couldn't sleep and suffered for it the next day.

May Hermes Krateros, strong and mighty, bring you fortitude.

When your mind moves faster than your tongue,

Then you slip over your words, especially at the worst possible times.

May Hermes Diaktoros, guide and messanger, allow your words to flow freely.

When you leave your bag on a bus, train or ferry,

Crying at the station, hoping someone had turned it in.

May Hermes Eriounês, luck bringer and ready helper, hear your cries. May your belongings be safe in his arms and brought back to you swiftly.

If anyone is willing, please send prayers to Lord Haides and Lord Hermes for my cousin. His name is Shane. He passed away, but I do not have details. The only detail I have is one that is very triggering for many people; I'll put it below the cut. This is devastating. He was older than me but still young. I don't know how to express my feelings on the matter.

He committed suicide. Typing this out feels so unreal. I literally just found this out. I haven't gotten the chance to speak to my mom yet. Frankly, I'm in shock. He was addicted to meth, and it was clear he was going on a steady decline for a while, but I guess I didn't see this coming. I have no clue how to feel or react. We weren't very close, but I still cared about him and was genuinely hoping he'd make a turnaround. I have no fucking clue what to say, really. The world has lost a brilliantly creative mind today.

Pagan Serenity Prayer

I never practiced Catholicism, but I became very intrigued by the rituals & routines within the practice, especially as an autistic person who finds comfort in routine.

I’ve been struggling with my control issues recently & needed a reminder to let things go & leave it to the gods, but it’s hard! So, I decided to create my own version of a ‘serenity prayer.’

May the sun rise in my heart,

May the wind guide me down my fated path,

And may love set me free from doubt.

I took inspiration from my main three deities—Aphrodite, Hermes, Apollo—and they’re represented within each line! That being said, you do not have to worship these three deities to use this prayer! If you can find ways to associate it with your own practice, feel free to use it as you’d like! :)
