I have so much data on this blog for normal reasons. I'm also so normal about art. The normalest.#Honorable mention for the character rankings: Lan Wangji! for “Most improved in rank”.#Sorry Lan Wangji fans but until the audio drama I honestly was...pretty indifferent towards him.#I think a huge part of that was due to the fact he's constantly paired up with WWX; who has *so* much charisma and steals the scene #But I've really come to like him a lot more since starting this project. He rose from mid-tier to being in the top ten!#Dishonorable mention: Nie Huaisang. Who fell out of number 1 spot and out of the top 5.#He just hasn't shown up a lot! And my rankings are fickle! They will probably change once I finish the third season!#My favourite comics are: A lot of them! And the ones I have yet to make!#I'm very sleepy at the moment while writing this but I do want to give a huge shout out to YOU.#Yeah! you reading this! Thank you! My favorite thing in almost all timetravel fix-it desmond fics is when he casually mentions like "Oh, that guy is hot." And (depending on when he got sent back, I'm using ezio for this), ezio is like *gasp* "Did you just admit to... liking MEN?!" and desmond is just like "...we kill people Ezio😐. I think if they arrested me, it would be for the multiple acts of terriosm." It is so funny every time

Happy 1 year anniversary to A Dark Among the Lights by LuckyLectio on AO3!!!

I wanted to try drawing one of those book covers that would also be printed as posters, like the kind that you'd find at a bookstore. More under the cut ^-^

I know that pretty much everyone who has looked at my art here over the last year has noticed how much I adore this fic. I highly recommend that anyone who hasn't read it and is interested should give it a try. Dark is a wonderfully written protagonist (all the characters are delightful, really) and I've loved following him as he experienced the longest most chaotic day of his life :b

I made a little rendering of this fic as a hypothetical paperback, with all the wear and tear associated with how much attention I've given it. Something about how to be loved is to be changed...

i dont wanna shoot down the idea that perry’s spurs are artificial but i also don’t think that’s necessary when, intersexuality exists. but above that i dont think perry would have gender dysphoria about his platypus body. his gender is ‘human guy’. nobody’s gonna tell perry he’s not enough of a dude because he lacks crural venom spurs, definitely not the humans in his life, and his life is made up of humans and non-platypus animals. anti-animal discrimination is his daily concern, not the one freak who’s made it his life mission to be transphobic to platypuses on the basis of venomous spurs. although like, wow, how high effort, that's almost commendable

Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.

Like. Raph being paired up with Ghostbear? Makes sense. Works great. Works amazing, even.

Mikey being paired up with Meatsweats? Yeah that checks out!!

Donnie getting…Hypno…? I mean. I guess Donnie doesn’t like magic so it kindaaa works but Kendra would have been a much better choice to me personally. Maybe Big Mama didn’t wanna include a human or something…

And Leo getting…uh…one of the Sando Brothers???? Of all villains? Nah let’s be real, his main villain is more Big Mama herself (or Leo could be considered his own worst enemy lmao-). Hell Hypno would have probably worked better here considering their shared love for magic tricks and stuff, but Carl Sando????

the thing about eliot spencer as a character, right. the thing about him.

(and as always your mileage may vary on my analyses so if we disagree that's cool actually)

is that he is in fact a somewhat emotionally constipated idiot who is occasionally sensitive about his perceived masculinity and gets defensive about emotional intimacy around other men (largely hardison, who's much more comfortable expressing affection and embracing a softer kind of masculinity), but eliot displays enough emotional awareness and sensitivity and respect for women etc etc that anyone who's been subjected to that era of television will put on rose-tinted glasses without even looking twice.

(and he is, don't get me wrong, incredibly emotionally aware for a professionally punchy guy with enough trauma to sink the titanic. it still startles me to see.)

on top of which we have the layers and the accessories and the excellent hair with the secret braids and the way he barely has an ego and he's good with kids and protective of his team without taking it too far, and some of us never stood a fucking chance.
