HEREAFTER REFERENCES - TORIEL & GASTER

Info about both of them:

- Close friends!! They spoke with each other a lot and frequently visited one another. (This is the same with Asgore on Gaster’s side but I didn’t draw Asgore yet…)

TORIEL

- Queen of the Underground.

- She handles blue fire; attacks deal more damage due to how hot they are.

- Her marriage with Asgore is fairly happy because he hasn’t decided to murder human children to take their souls.

GASTER

- The Royal Scientist.

- Father to Aft & Yore

- Two faced, easily irritated and can be snappy at times.

I've been trying to research Sciencetale/Science!Sans, but it's proving really difficult to find much of anything.

I've seen Sci featured as an additional character in several fics, including the CPAU, but aside from that it's difficult to figure out who even made him in the first place. If anyone knows/can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful!

In the meantime, in lieu of anything canon to go on, here are my headcanons for Sciencetale ( hereafter referred to as 'ST' for simplicity).

Disclaimer: I don't claim to own Sciencetale or any of the characters. And as I said above, I have no idea of what is or isn't canon to Sciencetale, so these are just my interpretations/ideas based on what I've seen/read from other's work.

Sciencetale Heancanons:

- ST is an alternate timeline of the original Undertale where the entirety of Hotland is one gigantic Lab.

- Since 'science' is such a broad subject, everyone specialises in their own field of study. So, Sans is probably physics, Papyrus is engineering, Alphys is technology/robotics, Toriel is probably biology/medicine, Muffet is entomology, maybe Mettaton is psychology etc etc.

- not everyone in ST is a scientist, though. You still need other jobs like retail, production, cleaning etc to keep the economy functioning. But all the 'main' characters are scientists (except Asgore, who's still King and primary financier of the Lab).

- in this AU, Gaster and his followers never fell into the Core. Instead, they're still around, and their discoveries and fame are what prompted such interest in the sciences in their timelines in the first place. As more and more monsters decided to pursue scientific careers, the Lab grew and grew until it basically covered the entirety of Hotland.

- The monsters of ST still want to break the Barrier one day - after all, there's untold knowledge and discoveries just waiting to be studied on the Surface! - but they're not as desperate to get there. They still have a lot left to study in the Underground.

- There's a dedicated team researching ways to break the Barrier (possibly with the use of artifical souls).

- ST is open to the Multiverse, but it's strictly Neutral. Taking sides in Multiverse conflict would skew the results of their studies, so the monsters of ST have a firm policy of non-interferance in the rest of the Multiverse.
