I always mix up FlowerTale AU with the one where Flowey takes control. I really like both AUs, and when I first got into Undertale, I ended up blending them together with my headcanons :n

Honestly, I've confused Flowertale and FlowerFell, so once I come up with something new, I'll repost the message and upload the new drawing!

alright gamers hear me out

today I was checking the dialogue dump and saw that alphys says humans can't absorb another human's soul, and monsters can't absorb another monster's soul

however, we see flowey absorb all the monster souls in the underground (except napstablook's), which confirms some things:

flowey is not a monster (he's a flower, a vessel used to hold a soul)

previously inanimate objects can hold souls, as long as they're sentient ig

something that is both non-monster and non-human can absorb both types of souls (photoshop flowey took human souls, pre-asriel flowey took monster souls)

these organisms can absorb a lot of souls at once

based on the fact that he absorbed six human souls, a flower probably has enough solid matter to hold six humans' worth of determination without melting...?

however once he transforms into a goat the souls don't seem to be rejected by his body, which I would expect it to do if he was a true monster (he even had time to fight us a bunch and control the souls to break the barrier in the end)

the most logical explanation is that asriel simply rearranged his cells or whatever and is still not, in fact, a monster, which means no rejection of multiple monster souls in one body

this means that asriel the goat is still made of flower cells/parts

asriel and his clothes, in the circumstances that we see him in-person in-game, is essentially a plant.

the plant he's made of can photosynthesize. the tools for photosynthesis are inside the cells so they don't get thrown out when rearranged.

in conclusion,

asriel's shirt can photosynthesize

Chara:

- First things first, Chara’s ghost is a goat demon thing now. It just fits with the Dremurrs being goat-like and the satanic/sacrificial motifs of goats. Also it’s cute

- They still very much care about Toriel and Asgore, but dislike Flowey- they refuse to believe he’s actually Asriel

- They are still Frisk’s little ghost friend, following them around, narrating their actions, encouraging them to Commit Crime™️

- They have the ability to posses Frisk for short periods of time, giving them higher speed and attack as well as basic fire magic. Frisk is drained 4 hp for every minute they are possessed, meaning they can be possessed for a maximum of 5 minutes if starting at full health and not injured.

- Their soul is not Determination

- They enjoy eating snails, fighting, dipping literally anything in chocolate, and botany

Asriel:

- ✨Dragon Goats✨

- He can breathe fire, but usually does so unintentionally- Chara enjoyed pranking him with spicy foods that led him to setting the house on fire

- he keeps the face stripes from the Asriel Dreamurr fight

- he loves bugs but is scared of bees

- Very picky about food

- Loves stuffed animals and cries if one is “hurt”

- Very clumsy and prone to injury, leading to him often wearing Bandaids and Chara carrying them around

Flowey is just. Flowey
