#I'd rather not clutter the caption so I'll ramble a little in the tags #HitW is short but special to me as it represents and encapsulates some hard life experiences I was going through at the time of its creatio #Ofc in a more metaphorical manner! but. I have been very much enjoying reading people's comments and speculation as its been posting #the interpretations are so meaningful and varied and i love that and really want to encourage anyone to reflect on what it means to them #for me making this comic was a way to process and move past trauma. i feel like it ends anti-climactically but i wanted to be true to #where i thought things were actually going in my life moreso than to veer towards impact. ultimately im glad i managed to finish it #and for it to finish going public right before the new year? maybe i can see this as shedding that old pain in time to become something new #so thank you for reading for supporting and for still being here. lets wake up to 2025 with wind in our sails #Home in the Woods #my art #my comics #original comic #cw guns #cw blood #cw body horror

#i feel like tge fact im apprehensive about posting this is kinda proving my point #the way everyone talks about both weight gain and weight loss is just horrendous #like idek if i could fit all i wanna say in here especially while im at work but #i so badly wish people could be normal about weight gain and talking about it #its like if youre not in some constant state of wanting to lose weight people want to kill you #god forbid you want to put on weight to feel more comfortable in your body outside of muscles and a butt #fatphobia is a given thats a whole other few paragraphs #im grateful i have mutuals and friends who are normal but ill have or hear these convos and go #ok i feel sick. why do i feel this way why do you feel that way.#anyways i think fatphobia is one of the worst things to ever happen

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

Edit: If I knew this post was gonna get 1000+ notes I would've tried to word it better or something, this was a rant I made on the way to the grocery store 😭

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

#the final confrontation was basically his first death again #and YES he Does want the Joker dead #and it would've been really really nice if Batman was the one who did it #but when batman made it clear he wouldn't kill the joker. Jason easily switched to saying “LET me kill the joker” to accommodate #because he Wanted batman to pass his test #he gave a test to dick too. and technically tim but it wasnt the family test it was a different one so it doesnt rly count #AFTER utrh and the reveal and the batarang you can go hog wild about it. i care less about it then #granted i do believe they make jason more scared of the joker after it at some point #i guess because hes a bit too willing to kill the joker and ive heard jason wasnt meant to live after utrh #my watsonian explain for that is he was so fixated on his plan he cpuld override his fear. or maybe the pit. either work #i prefer the fixation bc i dont like the explanation that the pit was the /only/ reason he could get all plan together and done #BUT THATS UNRELATED!!!#dc stop putting the joker in jason stories im begging you please please please. lock him in a vault for the next 20 years or something #it Cpuld be good and i understand. but also. after so long of people that dont know or go for jasons need for family and parents #that love him and he can trust #the joker starts to feel like?? hm. words. a cop out? oh haha its that guy that killed him woagh hes here #i bet you dont even know that jaybin got beat until unconsciousness by an angry mob #while asking batman to save him only for batman to have to walk away #anwya. where was i going with this #i think i got off topic #jason todd #dc comics #batman #ADDED AN EDIT. Between this top and the mandatory acrylics that come with the new arm, gotta say I'm loving how much Nintendo keeps leaning into GNC Link XD

MINI UPDATE: (Guys, I've already updated this post with the correct info. The "protects" part was supposed to be a joke about how skimpy the outfit was. I didn't realize the outfit gave an attack bonus at first, either. That was it. That was the post. You don't need to keep sending me messages trying to inform me about the frost attack. I know, I promise).

Update I: Just realized they gave him a set of blue acrylics for his left hand

Update II: Many thanks to the people who pointed out that this outfit gives you a special frost attack when in cold temperature areas, it doesn't actually protect you from the elements. I'll be honest, I am purposely avoiding any guides or walkthroughs for my TotK playthrough (since I'm trying to replicate my BotW experience). When I found the Frostbite Shirt, I was just happy that I finally had a piece of clothing that I thought could protect me from dying of hypothermia (was chugging spicy elixirs like you wouldn't believe) so I didn't notice the attack bonus until a bunch of you pointed it out lol

a small comic i started foreeeeever ago but never posted bc i wasnt happy with the poses so i tweaked it a little :3 much happier with how it looks now

I will say this was originally a vent comic but my feelings on the matter have sense changed. I used to struggle with romantic validation for a REALLY long time (sometimes i still do) but honestly i have really fulfilling relationships so why should it matter who finds me attractive or not! as long as im happy with myself

also this comic isnt saying that romantic relationships are better than platonic ones or anything like that, it was just to reflect on my own insecurity in the field. plus sometimes people just yearn!
