COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS

that he just takes things lying down; that he doesn't have a spine. i know in all of his verses i put him through a lot of shit and it seems like he's just experiencing one tragic thing after another without retaliating. but the main reason he doesn't retaliate is because he knows how to pick his fights. when to pick them too and when he does so, it's usually because he knows a. he has a chance at winning, but also b. he has a valid reason to. as a rational person, he always tries to assess the situation before taking any decisive actions.

basically, if he's not reacting to something you did, it's because either a. he doesn't think it's something worth getting into an argument/fight about or b. he's biding for his time, it's just a matter of when he strikes. and heaven help the person who manages to piss him off- patrick doesn't makes threats, he makes promises.

AN IMPORTANT HEADCANON

felicity price, who is actually a request muse on my multimuse blog, is one of the most important connections in every verse of patrick's. she's one of the few people who really got patrick to not only open up, but also to loosen up- throw a joke or two in. when she was alive, they were a very playful and affectionate couple, who didn't shy away from pda ( although patrick did have some decorum :'D ). i would say part of the reason they had such a strong chemistry is also due to each of them...recognizing and empathizing with each other's loneliness.

so when she passed ( and suddenly too ), to patrick it wasn't just losing his significant other, it was also losing his best friend, someone who truly understood him and loved him as he was all in the blink of an eye. and without any sound reason.

A USELESS HEADCANON

 He's nerd in every sense of the word. once his interest in something is piqued, he has a tendency to jump down the rabbit hole and find out as much as he possibly can about the topic until something else comes his way. this is the reason research is perfect for patrick and the reason today he knows greek and roman mythology like the back of his hand.

i really like how literary he can get- like there's something about his character that makes me want to go into metaphors and imagery with him. i think it's the lit major in me that resonates with him. i also think that because he's more on the subtle side, writing him really forces me to...i guess think more deeply about how he might get a point across in comparison to say, someone on the genuine side. he's a roundabout kinda person, both with his words and actions. ngl i feel like if he weren't already a good guy, he'd make a great villain fjskldjflskj

that and around the right people, he can be petty as shit, i love it when that comes out :DDDD

SOMETHING YOU WANT OTHERS TO KNOW BEFORE WRITING WITH THEM

just because he's nice most of the time, doesn't mean he'll go along with whatever someone says. say something mean about his loved ones or pry into his personal boundaries and he'll give you choice words that will stab you. he'll slide them in so eloquently, so smoothly most times canonically the other person wouldn't realize they're being insulted until after a minute or two.

You can hear the steel of the roof shaking as the winds gust by and you flinch on your spot in bed. You’re under storm watch right now, the winds at record speed and it does nothing to ease your nerves.

“Jamie,” you squeak, shutting your eyes as the wind whips again and the roof groans.

Your boyfriend is reinforcing the seals on the doors and windows, hoping that if it does rain it doesn’t affect your home too badly.

“Coming angel, I’m coming.” His voice is a little panicked and it causes you to panic some more. Just as you stand, James comes into the room with his hands all full. He’s carrying two mugs of tea and a sleeve of chocolate covered biscuits in the crook of his elbow.

“Here, pretty girl.” He hands you the mug of chamomile and then the biscuits , sitting beside you just as thunder rolls. “S’gonna be okay.” James promises like he’s personally in charge of weather patterns but his conviction makes him even more believable.

“Do you think the roof is gonna come off?”

James shakes his head, hiding his amusement behind a sip of his tea.

“No lovey, the roof’s gonna stay intact and we’re gonna get some rest tonight.”

You lean on his shoulder, sighing as you try to stop your mind from racing. “I don’t mind the rain but it’s the winds.” You murmur, James nodding sympathetically; it really is a horrific sound that it makes.

“They’ll slow down, angel. Let’s watch something to take your mind off it?”

You shrug, eyes sleepy as you finish your tea. “You choose tonight, Jamie.”

Ahhhh my first request! Thank you for sending it in! Also I'm so sorry for any typos in these headcanons, I'm just dumb (so sorry to the Jin Kamurai fans) and this is assuming you guys are at least good friends (if not more) at this point in time.

JIN KAMURAI

Okay, real talk. I think Jin is terrible with emotions. Even worse when he's done something wrong. I don't think he'd ever SAY that he's wrong or that he's sorry. But we all know he's got that cash money, so I think he'd order MC to go somewhere with/for him and treat them as a unspoken apology. Like he's ordering them to pick something up for him, somewhere in the academy, and gives them some 'pocket change' to buy their lunch. (STOP! DRABBLE TIME!)

MC was considering telling Jin to shove it, but they knew it would end up biting them in the ass, so they walked through Frostheim, dragging their feet. They were less than thrilled to be going back to the Frostheim captain's room. Sooner than they'd like, they were standing outside of his door. Before they could knock like they usually did, the door swung open, revealing Jin, his eyes narrowed, he held out a small stack of documents to them, dropping them in their hands. He turned his back to them curtly saying,

"Get these to Professor Dante. Now."

MC wanted to say something. To snap back at him but they paused when they felt something at the bottom of the stack of documents. Upon further inspection, it was a wad of big bills. At a glance it was at least 100,000 yen (about 1,000 USD). MC's eyes went wide at the stack of bills, they looked back up at Jin's retreating figure. They were about to question why, when all he said was,

"Get something to eat once your done. Thats an order"

With that, he closed the door and ended the discussion.

TOHMA ISHIBASHI

Okay, Tohma on the other hand I think is better with emotions than Jin. But he's still not the best. He at least knows how to apologize...he's just bad at saying it. I feel like Tohma is more of an acts of service person (duh) than a verbal person if that makes sense. If he's upset MC its easier for him to do small things to apologize than to actually say the words. (here is your order of drabble, freshly written)

Tohma watched MC carefully behind his monocle, he knew they were upset and why. But he hadn't expected them to stay upset for this long. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he waited until they would return the next day to finalize some documents with the second year ghouls. When the time came, Tohma took their jacket and prepared the a special blend of tea and biscuits for them while they worked on the papers. The practiced smile always on his face. After some time he returned with a tray, presenting it in front of them, his expression softer than before. When he set it down, all he said was,

"I've taken the liberty of bringing you something to eat. You've been working diligently as of late, among...other reasons. I hope you enjoy your meal"

With that, he swiftly left them to their work and their thoughts, giving them space.

KAITO FUJI

Kaito here is on the entire opposite side of that spectrum. He has absolutely no problem saying the words, but even if he was forgiven the first time, he still doesn't think its enough. So if anything, he does too much. He'll buy them flowers and chocolates to gain their forgiveness. It almost seems insincere how much he apologizes but he really does mean. Its more that his insecurities get the better of him and he doubts himself, so they might need to knock some sense into him for it to actually get through to him that he's been forgiven. Please be patient with him, he just really likes MC and he gets most of his advice from crappy magazines. (TO THE DRABBLE!)

Kaito held the bouquet of flowers in his arms tightly and held out the box of chocolates to MC. They had already told him that it was okay, but it didn't *feel* okay to him. There was a small voice in his head telling him that they were still upset with him. He had sent them a text, asking to meet in the library of DA academy. When MC arrived however, they sighed deeply, walking directly up to Kaito with a scowl on their face, saying,

"Kaito. I told you that its okay, you don't need to keep doing these kinds of gestures. If I was still upset with you, I wouldn't have shown up here to begin with"

Kaito's face went pale. He should have known they were smart enough to see right through him and his plan. He sighed, saying.

"I know you did i just-...I just wanted to be sure we were still cool....I'm sorry"

MC shook their head, their expression getting softer, they pulled out a chair from one of the tables in the library and sat down, saying,

"I'll forgive you, if you promise not to do anymore of these gestures....and you split those chocolates with me"

Kaito softly smiled and sat beside them, setting the flowers aside and the chocolates between them, he was so glad to know someone as sweet as MC.

LUCAS ERRANT

Lucas I think is closer to the middle of the spectrum. He's pretty literal and like I said before, he's not the best with social cues. From what I gather, he's more used to people saying what they mean. So if MC told them they were fine, he might worry at first, but he'd let it go, trusting MC enough to think they'd always tell him what was on their mind. If they do however tell him that they're still upset, that's different. If they were still upset I think he'd give them another apology and some bisuits. If that wasn't enough, then I think he's the type of guy to tell them stories about himself. Either about him and or his twin brother when they were little. Like really be vulnerable with them. (YOU'VE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD! DRABBLE! YOU TAKE 420 LIFE POINTS WORTH OF DAMAGE!)

Lucas had been worried about MC ever since they last saw eachother. Something about them had seemed off in a way. He was even more worried when he got a text from them asking to meet him in Frostheim's main entrance. He quickly grabbed his things and raced off to Frostheim. When he arrived MC was standing inside, their face somber. He reached them, immediately asking,

"MC! Are you alright? Did something happen?"

He gave them a quick once over, even gently grabbing their wrist to look it over, making sure they weren't injured. When MC snapped their arm out of his grasp, he looked up at them surprised. When they explained that they were still upset with him, he understood. He asked them to follow him to one of the secluded balconies at Frostheim. When they arrived, it was silent for the first few moments. Luca pressing his hands against the balcony railing and looking up at the sky. Before MC could break the silence, Luca softly spoke,

"I've never been the best at putting myself in the shoes of others...at least not without guidance....Jin has told me so, and even my brother....when we were little I would always have trouble whenever he would get upset with me. He told me he was fine, but he never was. I suppose I still have quite a bit to learn about others around me...I'm truly sorry MC. I hope you can find it within yourself to forgive me"

LEO KUROSAGI

Leo won't apologize. Let's be honest. If you think Jin is bad, Leo is WORSE. I think because of his fame and looks, that he's used to getting his way, even if he's a dick about it. I feel like he learned early on that the world is a cold cruel place and that saying you're sorry is admitting that you were wrong about something. Leo is 100% the kind of guy to expect them to get over whatever it is he did, even if it was something really bad. Man has like no moral compass, anything is on the table, even if it's deeply personal. I he'd get bored and keep sending you dumb tiktoks or meme's to get you to talk to him and hang out again. At MOST I think he'd trap you into going out somewhere with him and he'd treat you. Like get you a Starbucks drink or something, but thats it. And if MC won't go out with him, he'll come to them with two new trendy Starbucks drinks and his tablet ready to watch some shitty reality TV and make fun of the cast.

Leo glared down at his phone with a huff, MC hadn't reacted to any of his tiktoks or memes, not even the sad cat ones! It had been a few days since they'd went out. Sho was busy with his own thing so Leo had no one else to bet with. He dramatically sighed and immediately started to look through MC'S social media on his phone. He noticed that they'd like a post on the new drinks at Starbucks and started to formulate a plan. He dragged Sho away from him project and got to work.

MC sat on their bed, relaxing after a long day of classes, waiting to hear from professor Hyde which house they were going to be assigned to next. A knock at the front door echoed throughout the old cathedral, startling them. When MC got up and answered the door, Leo stood there with a cup holder and his signature impish smile,

"Hey MC! You didn't show up so I came here!"

Leo pushed past them and looked around, visible disgust on his face before turning to MC, his smile slapping back onto his face, saying,

"I can't believe you live like this! But whatever! Come one i brought my tablet with the new housewives season and the new spicy dragon fruit drink from Starbucks. Where has the best lighting in this shithole? I need to post about it before we start watching"

Leo handed them the drink, looking around before he found their bedroom, making himself comfortable and moving some of their things around to make a mini photo shoot for the drink. Once he was done, MC had finally found him, sitting on her bed and drinking what he brought. He saw them and gently pat beside him on the bed, saying,

"C'mon! How can you stay mad at a handsome devil like me? Now come here, I NEED to know what happens to Bethenny Frankel!"

so y’all know death note yeah? and how L is super autistic and stims with his feet constantly? yeah that’s me. i do not have a foot fetish at all but i am always messing with stuff with my feet/rubbing em together/picking shit up with them/etc. that is the context here.

one of the BEST foot stims is tummy. honestly to god i am not joking. pressing ur (clean) feet and toes into a soft, warm tummy is the most amazing feeling, honestly even better than with hands (in a stim sense). if u have been on ur feet all day or are generally just sore there it is immediately pain-relieving, too. it’s like a cat making biscuits. amazing, wonderful, 10/10

Jason looked at the two empty bowls and one empty plate of food Danny had polished off and promptly decides to take him to Rosa Lee’s Diner. They always serve extra large portions of food that stands up to even Alfred’s high standards.

As he urges Spooky into one of the jackets left by his siblings, he shoots a text off to Cass.

By the time Cass gets there, Danny is starting on his third plate. Mind you, she got here in under half an hour and Danny is not in fact a speedster, but at the rate Danny is going, Bruce is certainly going to think someone fed a speedster.

Jason is really not sure where all this food is going. By all rights, his spooky friend should be on the verge of exploding from eating more than his body weight in food.

Even the waitstaff are watching this little meta-looking kid down pounds and pounds of food.

Cass passes Jason an unmarked black credit card and sits next to him in order to better watch Danny scarf down his waffles.

Five minutes later when their waiter swings by, Jason orders a platter of beignets and Danny orders Rosa Lee’s own personal special, a breakfast that comes with four slices of ham, a mountain of cheesy scrambled eggs, two pancakes, four breakfast sausage links, two biscuits, and an apple turnover.

At this point, the waiter doesn’t even blink, just asks if he’d like anything to add or substitute.

He asks for 3 extra pancakes.

By the time he's halfway through his stack of pancakes -the last thing left of his Rosa Lee Special- it dawns on Jason, that maybe Danny shouldn't be eating this much when he hasn't eaten regular human food in a long time.

But then again, what does he know? The world is a great big mysterious place and you cannot treat every humanoid looking being by the limitations of humans.

Danny is watching him now, an openly curious look on his face. There's a question in the air between them, even Cass picks up on it.

Carefully slow, Danny sets down his fork and finishes chewing the bite in his mouth.

"You're worried," he croaks, tapping his index finger on the table to emphasize his words.

He pauses, distracted, and looks down at his hand, repeating the motion of tapping his finger on the table while studying it closely. Jason almost breaks into laughter when Danny’s head tilts in an oddly animal like fashion.

If he needed any other proof that Spooky the dog is Danny the spirit sitting before him, this would do it.

His glowing eyes flick back up to Jason.

"Amused," he rasps out barely above a whisper. There's still that unspoken question in the air.

It finally clicks. The emotions Danny is naming are Jason’s. The question he wants to know is 'why'.

"I wasn't sure if you could get sick from overeating. Humans need to ease back into eating normal amounts but you're not human so I don't know what standard to hold you to."

Danny nods absently, his finger tap tap tapping away on the table.

"Hard to say," he says finally. His voice still sounds like gravel, not unlike Cass' own voice.

"Ecto fills in gaps. A temporary fix. Rebuilding with the right stuff now." He gestures vaguely to the empty plates stacked on their table. "Ecto is fast. I'm probably fine."

"Sorry," Jason half mumbles. "I just worry."

All movement from Danny freezes, like someone pressed pause on the TV. His eyes go wide in realization and alarm.

"Jazz..."

Jason blinks and then it hits him with the speed and force of a freight train.

"Oh shit! Jazz!" He scrambles for his phone. "Do you remember anything else about her that might help?!"

Bill would like everyone to know that he works very hard to be a good hench person.

He's not dumb. Now he may not be book smart like half the big baddies in Gotham, but he's not dumb.

He would have died long ago if that were the case. He's worked for the Red Hood for a couple years now —it's one of the best decisions he's ever made; the guy knows how to treat his hench people. What more can Bill say?— and he's avoided asking questions just like with all his hench jobs before this.

But he'd really like to ask one now that he's stuck watching years worth of security footage...

What even constitutes suspicious activity in a cemetery?

Now most people would automatically say, graverobbing, but Big Red is a Gotham native. In Gotham, no one is buried with their valuables, not unless your grave is in a super secret spot. Gothamites can smell money and anytime there's a possibility of it, people will dig up the grave in question.

Hell, the cops don't even stop for it anymore, they just keep on rollin' even if it's happening right before their eyes.

Point is, graverobbing can't be the suspicious behavior he's supposed to look for, but Bill really isn't sure what exactly does quantify as suspicious behavior to Big Red.

Everything here has been run of the mill, graverobbing, teen/young adult vandalism, or drug deals.

Yes, he considers goth teens/young adults having sex in a cemetery as vandalism too. Vandalism on his eyes, if nothing else.

He hits pause on a big white van and rubs his eyes tiredly. Perhaps it's time to call it a night. He's losing focus, getting caught up in his own thoughts.

His hand hovers over the mouse about to drag it over to close out of the program when his brain catches up to what his eyes are seeing.

The van, big, white, armored...

Now that IS unusual. Black or gray vans are the favored colors in Gotham and anyone, who knows anything about Gotham, knows that you NEVER armor up a suspicious color and type of vehicle. Not if you don't want the cops and vigilantes breaking down your door.

He can just make out two people in bright colors inside the van. They're grainy but not grainy enough for Bill to doubt the color of their outfits.

It's too bright for any regular gothamite. The only people in this city who dress like that are the big shot villains and their cronies.

The two disappear into the cemetery, out of sight of the camera with tools in hand. He scans forward a few hours (less time than he expected honestly) and slows back to normal speed just in time to watch them unload what seems to be some sort of coffin, except it's metal with glowing lines and patterns on it.

He pauses the video again and with elbows resting upon the desk he presses clasped hands against his mouth to muffle his sigh.

"Here is your melatonine, Kasper." Lampert gave Kasper one white pill and a cup of milk. It was a late evening, and Lampert came to help his boyfriend with the bedtime routine. "thx, br0…" Kasper mumbled, taking the pill. Despite his virus being cured, he still suffered side effects such as Leetspeak and troubles with sleep. The skater swallowed the pill and sipped the milk. He curled up, his knees close to his chest, yawning. Lampert tenderly stroke his brown messy hair and with a little hestitation, kissed his cheek. "You are very brave" he said, smiling softly. Kasper looked at him sheepishly. "l4mp3h… h0w l0ng d1z 5tuffz w1ll t4k3?…" he asked, tilting his head. Lampert letted out a tiny sigh. "Well, Dr. Retro said it takes some time… These symptoms are brief and will disappear after a while…" he answered. "We need to be patient, okay?" Kasper groaned. He was already tired of the virus, and he had enough of these stupid side effects. He pouted, his cheeks turning bright pink. He leaned onto Lampert, still curled up like a ball, making the lamp humanoid squeak with suprise and blush a little. Normally, he would panic, but since Kasper was almost cured, he did not mind physical contact that much. His plug-in tail swayed a bit, meaning he enjoyed snuggling with Kasper. The white kitten with golden eyes hopped onto the bed. It was Waffles, the cat Lampert gave to Kasper to deal with loss of Poptart. The brunette fell in love with Waffles at the first sight. The kitten started making biscuits on Kasper's tigh, demanding attention. He was very clingy, just like his owner. Kasper petted Waffles' head, feeling it's fuzzy white fur. The cat purred and laid on Kasper's lap, meowing. "h1z s0 c00t!…" Kasper giggled. Seeing his boyfriend happy made Lampert smile a little. He hugged Kasper, a bit awkwardly since he was still a germaphobe. He remembered the first meeting of Kasper and Waffles. The skater was sobbing, hugging the cat and whimpering "thank yous" to Lampert. This memory was truly heartwarming. Kasper held a star-shaped pillow and laid his head on Lampert's chest. He could hear his heartbeat and silent breathing, which relaxed him a lot. The lamp humanoid blushed and put his hand on Kasper's back. His plug-in tail wrapped around skater's waist. Suddenly, Kasper coughed. Lampert shivered, and then rubbed his boyfriend's back to calm him down. "It's okay, it's okay…" he said nervously. "s0rry…" Kasper muttered bashfully. "N-no! It's not your fault!" Lampert shook his lampshade head. Then he embraced Kasper even tigher. The skater chuckled and hugged him back. Lampert kissed his forehead, making him grin. "ur s0 c00t, l4mp3h!" Kasper giggled, and then he yawned. He rubbed his eye, feeling the melatonine kicking in. "Aww… You feel sleepy now, right?" Lampert sighed. Kasper nodded, and cuddled his boyfriend a bit, nuzzling onto the crook of his neck. Lampert gasped softly and blushed, and then hugged Kasper back. "I can sleep with you tonight, if you want…" he suggested. The brunette laid his head on Lampert's chest and closed his eyes. It meant "yes". The lamp humanoid laid down very slowly, to not wake Kasper up, then covered them both in a blanket. He wrapped it around the skater like a cocoon. Kasper's face stook out, with pink cheeks and fuzzy hair, which looked adorable. Waffles curled up on Kasper's stomach, falling asleep too. Lampert smiled and kissed Kasper's nose. The comfy pillow and the warmth of Kasper's body made Lampert sleepy too. He almost forgot how much he loved sleepy cuddles with Kasper prior to the virus. He sighed quietly, and closed his eyes. He really hoped that very soon, everytjing will go back to normal. That Kasper will fullly recover. But now, cuddling with his boyfriend was enough to make Lampert happy. He smiled, before falling into deep sleep. "Goodnight."
