Some Honor Bound Acknowledgements

Today I want to highlight the amazing jobs that lots of people did to get HONOR BOUND where it is. It wouldn't be anywhere near so polished without their hard work!

My editor Abigail C. Trevor pushes my games into shape from concept to release, from big-picture feedback to meticulous edits.

Abby has a particular knack for teasing out the potential of an idea and pushing it further. At the very early stages, the PC was assigned to Ozera because of an injury but not because of any particular other issues, and Elene's Prospect was not the PC's hometown (and therefore there was no prior connection with Denario)!

Abby also writes games! Her first game, Heroes of Myth, is about a con-artist called to really fix a magical crisis. Her latest, Stars Arisen, is a fantasy doorstopper about being the child of an immortal deposed tyrant queen who wants you to seize back control of the city-state. Highly recommended!

Kris Lorischild copyedited this 595K word monster. This would be a massive undertaking even without my tangles of code to deal with and Kris truly polished Honor Bound to make it shine.

Kris was narrative co-lead/localisation producer on Cozy Grove, created You Are Jeff Bezos and more, used to be Senior Curator for Critical Distance, and has copyedited 20 CoG games. Check out their itch page here!

I don't know all the names of the continuity readers, and although I've tried to thank the playtesters directly, I may have missed some—but from finding bugs, to noticing typos or awkward sentences, to letting me know where I was falling short of my goals, their work was invaluable.

Jason Stevan Hill, Mary Duffy, and Dan Fabulich from the Choice of Games team worked wonderfully on this release. Special shoutout to Rebecca Slitt's editorial review of the full draft which guided me in expanding and enriching a ton of moments that needed it.

Eiwynn was a tireless pillar of the ChoiceScript interactive fiction community, helping writers and players old and new. Ever since I started writing with ChoiceScript, she gave me support and encouragement, and I know she did this for many, many more writers.

Thank you for everything, Eiwynn. Your warmth and kindness will be sorely missed by me and countless others in the community.

Finally: my wife Fay Ikin is my first reader even at the concept stages and helps me arrange my ideas as well as helping me untangle when I'm struggling (in writing and in life!).

Teran is loosely based on her TTRPG campaign from many years ago. I'm very grateful that she let me steal her setting!

Fay isn't on social media, but she makes interactive fiction as well. She's best known for her intense gladiator-pit romance game HEART OF BATTLE in which you can fight and/or romance your fellow gladiators, a magic medic, or a fabulously wealthy patron. It's a brilliant game, and I would say that even if I wasn't married to her! She also made ASTEROID RUN: NO QUESTIONS ASKED, a gorgeous and very underrated scifi thriller.

Kris Guštin moments as girl in red songs but this time I actually explain why

1. we fell in love in october: being an Apokalipsa fan

"Looking at the stars / admiring from afar" - looking at the band from the crowd, not yet a part of it

"At least i know, I am here to stay" - retrospectively (or not) knowing that this band is It for him, for one reason or another

"You will be my world" - looking back since Apokalipsa grew into Joker Out which DID end up becoming his whole world

2. Body And Mind: Damon Baker photoshoot

saying that the photoshoot was like a therapy session, letting his guard down and being vulnerable during it and thus in the resulting pictures as well

3. midnight love: saying he is always in the shadow of his father or bojan

"Say I'm not your consolation prize" and "I can't be your second best / close but not your favourite" - he is almost always talked about in relation to either his father or Bojan (maybe wanting to be seen as his own person)

4. Apartment 402: laying on the studio floor

this one is just silly, he is on the floor (again) because he fell there

the song is mostly a piano and Kris does sometimes play piano

Yesterday when trying to work out what to post I had a spur of the moment inspiration to make a character teir list (good simple easy thing to post, Doing one of the songs would require a lot of effort so you will not see that any time soon) and low and behold as a scrolled to see the characters it turns out that that particular teirlist was made by kris (my Gohan mutual). So like. I had to do that one. There were others that weren’t as updated but had more characters from the 8th anni art and had certain characters together/separate which I might try another time and edit into this post but like. That’s my Gohan mutual. Funnily enough I also recognise amethyst from their work on subbing stuff. I love recognising people omg this fandom is so cosy and tight knit let’s go. Anyway here.

Still debating on the order. It’s from favourite to least favourite in each category. Still thinking in general.

I believe in photon is blue supremacy so I used blue girl’s picture as Atmos. Probably should have been the other way around since I think (according to this) kris thinks Blue Girl in the melty land is not photon but is the character in Atmos so uh whoops sorry.

I love the uncomfort characters as much as the comfort characters they just make me so emotional I just can’t like it’s good but it hurts.

If I were too merge those categories it’d Melty, Nana, Spica, Mikage, Lili, Ginga, Tina, Daireijo, Dango, Girl in white, Tomodatchi, Dreamless girl, Suzu, Photon and Aster

I think Mikage abd Suzu make me the saddest of all. Aster too, and probably Navy (aka Giita, other girl from Cobalt Mems) actually but I can’t fully empathise strangely.

I like definitely like ginga way more because of my personal connection and interpretation of Ginga Roku which defies cannon. Basically I’m biased.

I feel bad for not putting any of the people that will die if they’re separated from their favourite people next to their favourite people uh sorry.

Nana and Lili are equally as sad as each other it’s just like. I see things from Nana’s prospective so I pity Lili through Nana’s eyes more ig. Lili, like girl in white, is just so indescribably precious. Nana is the funny one. And with how the sake of how my personal experience makes me relate to things

A personal experience which is absolutely nothing to do with the placement of Daireijo, Dorothy and Spica. And probably Mikage. Actually no I could go on forever for everyone take it all with a grain of “I’ve been ghosted I’ve been ghosted along”. It’s all my fault pathetic let’s go.

I feel like we aren’t gonna get any further context about the golden ray girls which is why they’re my favourite. I don’t think they have any dramatic plot. just on their own planet I assume being besties. That’s simple and versatile and cute and I like it. Pokapoka too.

I DO NOT feel the same way about empurple. Scary. Good cool fun too but scary.

I’m pretty sure Eteru is here twice? She looks identical to one of the girls introduced in the book. We all make mistakes (I say this in case it is a different character and I have made a mistake)

This will change. Especially for Eteru and Dorothy. But like also for the others like when I have to accept that none of my theories are cannon.

I should really feel something more for Navy Usagi and M-39. They could all be very relatable I just don’t care for some reason. I do think deeply about it with Navy, like I think all my love for her turns into love for girl in white. I see her as motherly ig? Which feels flat because I want her to have other traits then just loving girl in white.

I really can’t explain why I don’t like Yuuhi she’s annoying she’s cool when she rips arms off but for the most part she gets on my nerves idk. I’m sorry I’m being heartless.

I do wanna rank all the characters (not before Christmas as part of this challenge) in like a numbered way that’d convey it a lot but also be a lot harder. Hey there! So you know the official art of Ralsei titled "Floralsei" where he's surrounded by flowers? I've been interested in the possible symbolisms behind these flowers and wanted to share a bit of my analysis with you haha. (I know there's a chance that merch isn't canon, but we also get "Weird Route" foreshadowing through the Line Stickers, so who knows? ¯_(ツ)_/¯)

In the picture, I think we can identify several flowers such as 1. "Red Roses", 2. "Lily of the Valley", 3. "African Violet" , 4. "Hibiscus",5. "Snapdragons" and 6. "Forget-Me-Nots". (link to pic: https://imgur.com/a/NXAs1jv) I'll try to list the symbolism of each one here…

"Red Roses": These flowers are placed prominently in the center, forming Ralsei's scarf and adorning his hat. While they appear as dark pink in the artwork, I interpret them as representing red, especially considering Ralsei's default scarf is called the Red Scarf. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, which aligns with Ralsei's one-sided affection towards Kris.

"Lily of the Valley": This flower symbolizes purity, happiness, and sweetness. It carries diverse symbolism and is often used in various settings, such as weddings and religious ceremonies, to convey messages of hope, purity, and the joy of new beginnings.

"African Violet": (I'm not entirely certain about this, but the shape seems to resemble the flower in the pic…) This flower signifies loyalty, devotion, and faithfulness. In addition to representing faithfulness and fidelity, African Violets can also convey admiration and respect, especially when given as a token of high esteem.

Oh, I didn't actually know about this! Some Ralsei fan I am, lol :P It's very pretty though, I've just seen that it's a print on a T-shirt, which I'm now sorely tempted to purchase because of how good it looks! Thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's appreciated :)

Moving on to your analysis of the different types of flowers... there's not too much I can really add here I feel - flowers and their meanings are sadly not my forte. However, a lot of the meanings you transcribed here do definitely relate to Ralsei and his character. Of particular note is the Snapdragon and its allusion to "deception" - as you rightly state, our favourite fluffy boy is definitely withholding crucial information from everyone, both about the plot at large and his own character.

You know what else caught my eye, actually? I'm just checked because I wasn't sure if I was misremembering, but Lily of the Valley is actually poisonous, and can cause skin irritation if touched directly, and its berries can cause serious harm or even death if ingested. It's a stretch, but applying this to Floralsei (what a name, by the way!) you could perhaps posit that whatever secret he's keeping, it's so dangerous it might cause irreparable damage if it were to ever come out. Or perhaps it's a warning - he may be pretty, but get too close and you'll get hurt.

With that said, however, I don't actually think Ralsei is secretly malicious or anything like that. My current theory is that he's not telling us stuff for two reasons - one is that he's directly serving the narrative by revealing pieces of vital information at critical moments in the story, as evidenced by the dramatic reveal of the Roaring and the Titans JUST before Berdly creates a new dark fountain in the cyber world; and the other is that he is trying to protect his friends from information that they might find distressing, and/or won't be relevant to them unless the worst case scenario happens (which it's obviously gonna... but I digress).

I'm sorry I couldn't really add any more to this discussion, because it is quite fascinating! I'd be quite interested to see what others think, if any further insight can be provided on this topic!

1. i am at my core a poly!jo girlie. however. you'll have noticed my soft spot for jankris and bokris. i said when i was on anon on saucy's blog that nacekris was my favourite. it was, at the time? i think i just love all kris ships. actually that's a big lie, i think i just love all jo ships. if i HAD to choose i guess i'd go for jankris & nacekris but i'm also partial to bomartin (which i am yet to write! i must fix that). jankris & bomartin because i'm enamoured with (childhood) friends to lovers - the devotion, the feelings developing, seeing them change as years grow. and in jankris's case because i love lesbians. nacekris because they have insane chemistry on stage and i want them to fuck right in front of me. also for other very normal reasons like look how big nace is beside kris with his wide shoulders and strong back, and the age difference, and maybe nace tried to keep his hands off but kris is just so, so delicious and so tempting and he obviously wants him back and nace can't help himself- (i need to be shot)

2. everchanging top but as for right now, in no particular order :

3. complicated question! depends on what you consider lurking to be. i've been on tumblr for something like 7 years all in all, and on ao3 for maybe 4 or 5. on my other account, it wasn't like a secret that i like JO. some people i'm mutuals with on this blog i'm also mutuals with on that blog (do not go looking for my other blog). i read on ao3 on my other account as well - i still keep up with fics i started reading on there because i'm not just gonna stop now. i started writing a fic i was going to publish on anon (to be published on here now). i was too shy to comment or bookmark or sometimes to even leave kudos. i would rb fanart or gifs or pictures sometimes. that is lurking to me. so maybe about a year and some change, ever since i got into the band - which was eurovision.

Adventures In Toronto

Wednesday - Arrival

The Canucks' private plane has touched down in Toronto for the All Star Game. Each Canuck have brought their partners, and Millsy and Thatcher have even brought their kids. Tocchet leads them to their cars after going through security. Joanna has never been to Toronto before. This is her sixth NHL city. Born and raised in Vancouver, where she still lives. She's been to San Jose, St Louis, and Miami with Elias for previous All Star Games. And Vegas with him when he won the Calder. She doesn't count her brief stop in Detroit when she flew out to see Elias and Quinn that summer, all she saw was the airport. ''God, this city is massive, isn't it?'' Olivia says.

Joanna nods, taking some pictures out the window. ''Yeah, hope this weekend is happier than the last game.'' She'll never forget saying goodbye to Bo, Holly, and the kids in Miami last year. She hates that Bo had to find out they handfasted while visiting. Elias holds her hand in his, and promises her. ''We arrive together, we leave together this time, alskling, promise.''

At the hotel, they meet up with Jack and the rest, and head in for some dinner. Then, on Tocchet's orders, it's bed time.

Thursday - Draft

Draft Day has come, the boys are all up early, but the ladies are given some extra sleep. Joanna is up at nine, the bed too cold without Elias next to her. She showers, and brushes her teeth, and gets her hair done into a nice half updo. She's doing her makeup, when a knock comes at the door. ''Come in.'' Bella and Olivia come in, dressed for the day already. ''Hey, girls, what's up?'' Joanna slides some tights on, and belts her favourite turtleneck dress up. Bella sits on the bed. ''We just wanted some advice about today, we've never done this before. You have.''

Joanna chuckles, and fiddles with her handfast ring. ''Oh, okay, well, what do you wanna ask me?''

Olivia takes a seat. ''How do we y'know... conduct ourselves? Like, there's so many important people here, how do we not look stupid in front of them?''

Joanna packs her purse, and zips her boots up. ''Just like you'd approach the boys, or coach. If Etiquette Classes taught me anything it was: be comfortable in yourself, and you're seventy percent there.'' Bella nods, turning pink slightly. ''It sounds so dumb to ask, but we're so new to all this, and you've been to four of these now, and...''

Joanna takes her friend's hands, assuring her. ''It's not dumb, Bells, it isn't. I lost count of how many times I turned to Holly and Amanda for advice back then. Wanna know a secret about San Jose?''

Olivia looks interested. ''Go on.'' Joanna laughs, smoothing down her skirt. ''I was terrified, stuck to Elias like glue all weekend, I was nineteen and absolutely petrified. Didn't help that my childhood crush was there. I was down bad for Kris Letang as a kid.''

The ladies all sit together for the draft. Joanna wrinkles her nose at the red jerseys their team are wearing, red has never been her favourite colour on Elias. The garish yellow stars don't help. Scarlett Miller wants up on her lap. ''Hi, sweetie, come on. What team do you want daddy going to, Scarly?''

Scarlett thinks for a minute. ''Uhm, Huggy's team.'' Olivia laughs, agreeing with the little girl. ''Me too.''

Sure enough Scarlett is a prophet, the pod sticks together, except for the new guy. Elias Lindholm going to a different team. The girls also stick around for the PWHL showcase.

Friday - Skills Competition

The Canucks, Devils duo, and Tkachuks are sitting down to breakfast together before the skills comp. The girls all dressed nice, the boys suited up. Joanna goes to grab some more tea from the buffet, half milk and two sugars as she likes, a distinct feeling of anticipation at their table. She gets back, the boys talking animatedly among themselves. ''Did I miss something while grabbing my drink?'' She asks Emma.

Emma nods, beaming, but not giving anything away. ''Yeah, you kinda did.''

Elias turns to her, blue eyes sparkling, and takes her hand in his. He goes into his pocket, producing a blue velvet box, it's happening, it's actually happening! ''Joanna, last summer, we made some promises to each other. I asked you in Sweden to handfast with me. Now, I ask you in Canada: Joanna, my love, will you marry me?'' He opens the box, producing a gorgeous ring, rose gold adorned with a diamond flanked by two rubies. Joanna, heart racing, says. ''Yes!'' He slides the ring onto her finger, and pulls her in for a kiss. ''Congrats, guys, it's the best feeling ever.'' Thatcher says.

Elias nods, his fiancee now on his lap. ''Thanks, Demmer, been waiting to do it for ages, figured this was a great time.'' He looks to his other half. ''Anna, are you okay?''

Joanna nods, green eyes glossy. ''Yeah, I just love you so much.'' Elias kisses her again. ''I love you too.''

Joanna makes the texts after Elias is called to the bus. Their people must know before the press find out later on today, she'd hate it if Theresa, her best friend, found out on TV in particular.

At the arena, the girls watch as McDavid wins fastest skater, Olivia says. ''Quinn came third, so that's good at least.'' She's always been Quinn's number one supporter, even before they got together. ''Yeah, can't wait for hardest shot.'' Lexie says, bouncing little Dawson on her lap. ''Neither can I, Elias basically owns that.'' Joanna says.

Elias manages 2 points in the one-timers event, Kate Peterson comes to the ladies during the passing challenge. ''Good afternoon to our Canuck ladies, enjoying the skills comp so far?''

Bella laughs, Brock isn't in it, so she's just there to support the others. ''Yeah, kinda didn't know what to expect, but this is so cool.'' Joanna nods in agreement. ''Been here before, but this one feels so different. We're not saying goodbye to anyone, and we're all together this year.'' Kate notices the ring, shimmering in the arena lights. ''I take it a Hockey wedding is on the horizon?''

Joanna nods, beaming again. ''Yeah, Elias proposed this morning.'' Elias also goes on to win the passing challenge.

Cale Makar wins hardest shot, McDavid wins stick handling and accuracy shooting. Georgiev wins the one-on-one challenge. ''Well, who would've guessed? Connor helps design the comp, and wins the thing!'' Olivia remarks, sounding a touch bitter.

They catch up with the boys backstage, Joanna slings her arms around her fiance's waist, and kisses him. ''Another skills comp done, darling, we've not missed one yet.''

Elias lets his hands clasp at the small of her back, and kisses her gently. ''Who are you supporting at Four Nations next year?'' Joanna says, matter of factly as always. ''The team my husband plays for.'' Elias, aquamarine eyes focused deeply into her emerald ones, like they have been since 2018, says. ''Good to know.''

Saturday - Game Day

Joanna and the girls take their seats for the Team Hughes vs Team Matthews game. Despite his awful showing in the skills comp yesterday, Kucherov buries one to open scoring for Team Hughes. DeBrincat answers with a goal of his own just over a minute later. ''Come on, Jon, wake up, honey.'' Natalie urges her husband. Joanna turns her engagement ring on her finger, already used to the weight on her left hand. Anaheim star Frank Vatrano fires one past Oettinger for 2-1. ''I wish Brock could get one, he wasn't in the skills comp yesterday.'' Bella says.

DeBrincat adds another to the boards to tie it 2-2 going into the second half. Mitch Marner pads the lead as the second half begins, Elias gets the puck on his stick, and ties it, pointing to Joanna with his stick. Joanna, for her part, winks at him. ''That never gets old, huh?'' Olivia asks.

Joanna laughs, and says. ''Not even a little bit, Liv, no.''

Filip Forsberg puts Team Matthews ahead, but Brady Tkachuk responds just as his dad would've. ''That's my man, Brady!'' Emma cheers him on. Vatrano adds another goal for Team Hughes. Only for Forsberg to tie it with two minutes to go. ''Shootout time, buckle up, girls.'' Lexie says, sounding confident in her husband, so she should.

The shootout goes to the wire, with Alex DeBrincat scoring the game winner for Team Matthews.

Team Hughes and Team MacKinnon head back to the hotel for a late lunch after the games. Elias Lindholm finally getting to sit with his new team mates. ''Anything I should know before we head back to Vancouver?'' Lindholm asks.

Quinn, stepping into captain mode for a brief moment, says. ''Just that we're excited to have you on board, that's all.'' Thatcher adds to the primer. ''And, Garly, Blue, and JoDak are insane. But, in a good way.''

Elias adds. ''And, you're invited to a Canucks wedding this summer too.''

Lindholm smiles, weddings are always good news, no matter who it is. ''Thank you very much, congrats on that by the way.'' Joanna finishes her meal, and says. ''Thanks, we handfasted in Agne over summer too.''

Of all people, Sidney Crosby pipes up. ''Oh, did you? That's so cool! My grandparents did that too. Good luck on the wedding and marriage.''

Elias speaks for them, his fiancee too starstruck to speak. ''Thank you, Sid.''

That night, Joanna is just done getting ready for bed. Her face and hands moisturized, hair put in a braid, and case packed for their flight home tomorrow afternoon. She exits the bathroom, Elias is already fast asleep, big events like this have always tired him out, and the rush of the proposal is probably catching up to him. Joanna joins him in bed, and kisses his temple. ''Jag älskar dag, käresta.'' She whispers, and curls up with him, out in minutes.

Sunday - Home

It's all over and done with until 2027 now, bags are packed, and cars are loaded up for flights back to the other 31 cities. Joanna gets back from a shop with a box of chocolates and a card thanking the staff for housing them for the weekend. Farewells are said, and the Canucks family get into their cars, having not said any goodbyes, instead, they're heading back to Vancouver with someone. ''Nice weekend, love?'' Elias asks Joanna while she reads on the flight home.

Joanna nods, and marks her page. ''Yeah, feels odd that I've been with you for all four of these, but this is it until 2027. Four Nations next year, and then the Olympics.''

Elias chuckles, kissing her head. ''Yeah, it does in a way, doesn't it? We'll be married and starting our family by then. Excited for that?'' Joanna can't help the smile that comes to her face. ''Elias, I've been excited for that since we got together. That's never changed.'' Elias says, linking their pinkies together. ''Good, because so am I.''

Elias gets back to his movie, Joanna gets back to her book, and they return to their city with their family. A hectic weekend behind them, a busy work schedule ahead, and a wedding in summer. But, they're ready, they're together, and that's all that will ever matter.

1. So did we actually do something to help/hurt the plot? Of course. I have quite a few different routes that you could have gone down that didn’t end up getting used, haha. You saved Radio and Spamton from an argument a while back. You definitely fed into Spamton’s ego during fame. You changed Swatch’s view on Spamton to be a little more positive. You did not convince Spamton to keep the tasque.

2. Is the text ever gonna change color or is it just gonna be black on black forever? It. It should be fixed. I didn’t mean for that to happen.

3. Will Spam ever reunite with his bros? Of course. Whether in a good or bad way is still undecided.

4. What does it mean that our voice is now our own? Gaster and Goner will no longer interfere with your calls.

5. How many asks to you typically get in your inbox on average? A dozen or so every day. I usually pick more recent ones, but there will be times where I scroll back a couple days and use an older one. I currently have 4,409 asks recieved. I love reading all of them very much.

6. What will happen to the blog when the story is over? Will it still be an ask blog? The blog will be archived with a sweet closing message and art poster. I changed my mind on deleting it when the story is over. Things will stay.

7. Are the Addisons still all there? Emotionally, I mean. Sure.

8. Does Goner have Gaster's memories? Yes. They are the exact same being. Goner is a split-off piece of Gaster’s soul, made to execute his will. Everything Goner has done has been willed by Gaster at some point.

9. So, how has lifeline AU changed from your original vision over the course of running it? Well. I did not expect it to be so popular. I wanted to write for fun at first, with a small story in mind. It was not made to be perfect. The narrative is flawed. Sometimes I break character. The storyline is unclear at times. I love it. I write because I love to.

10. Will they remember? Of course. This is not a reset.

11. For the QnA: is there any way we can save Spamton? That depends. From what?

12. Favourite arthropod? The crab ones the ones that look like a frying pan and have little legs and run around on beaches all day

13. How do you find time/motivation/etc to make a project like this? With schoolwork? With extracurriculars? With all the projects I have in mind and aren’t yet completed? While also balancing my social life on top of it? I don’t know. The trick is not to think about updating everything too often. If I want to write I will find time for it.

14. What was the image for this account before being the glasses? A lovely picture of pre-fame Spamton with a pair of glasses on their forehead. Very baffled expression. Drawn by one of my very close and very loved friends.

15. Why do you think Queen can drink the acid and not shrink? Robot. Sort of.

16. Will Kris and the rest of the gang eventually be involved in this blog? Not directly, no. They will never answer calls. They may feature in the background, though.

17. Do you have a tl;dr for newcomers? Following the popular fanon storyline, Spamton and his brothers, the Addisons, answer various asks in the form of calls. Things spiral when Gaster starts calling Spamton, and the Addisons get into an argument. Spamton leaves eventually, much more puppet-like than before, to move into the Mansion. You are no longer able to call the Addisons.

Spamton is angry and prideful and a pain to be around. Eventually hears about the basement and goes down to investigate, but is… injured(?) and is briefly comforted by Swatch. Seeing as things have not gone to plan, Gaster stops calling. You lose contact with Spamton. The Addisons are back. You are here now.

18. This isn’t a question, but I just want to tell you this story is beautifully written. Thank you very much;; I love writing and I’m very happy others enjoy what I make. Small compliments like these mean very very much to me. :]

19. Do you have multiple endings planned, or just one? Sort of.

20. Do any of the brothers truly hate each other/spamton or find them just that annoying? No. They all care very very much about each other.

21. What have the addisons been up to this year? Just the daily grind? Do they still do cybergrille night? Bury themselves in their work. They do not go to the cybergrille anymore. They don’t like watching the news or do anything for fun anymore.

22. I’m really curious as to what the Addison anatomy is like. Do they have fur, skin, plastic, etc? Do they bleed, what are certain quirks of their species? Maybe fluffy. Like velvet. I’ve always envisioned them as just digital characters, so I suppose they would be cool to the touch- holographic. Usually give off a warm glow. Very lovely to look at. I don’t think they bleed. Fizzle out, maybe.

23. Are character impression asks not a thing any more? The comic seemed to imply that we'd need to take ownership and responsibility for our actions? You can still do impression asks for characters. :]

24. Are there any places this arc that the story could've gone in a very different direction than it did? Of course. There were multiple arguments that could have happened between characters, and one very distinct route where Radio got very upset with Spamton. I had art drawn for it, but it never did happen.

25. Is Snowgrave route possible? Quite.

26. Could we have done anything about what happened in the basement? No. Spamton could never have found the machine, or gotten much further than he did back in the basement. You could have changed what happened after, though.

27. Will Swatch be involved more in the future? No. You will not be hearing much from them from here on.

28. What did we do to contact the Addisons again? Reconnection with the Addisons was always going to happen. In a good or bad way. Although if you responded with ‘don’t continue’ to any of the previous posts I thought it would be very funny to do a fake-out blog end, haha.

29. Which character is your favorite to write? Radio, at first. And then it turned into Banner. Now I’m not so sure. I think I’ve had enough of writing Spamton for a good while, haha.

30. Will we be hearing from Gaster again? In a way, sort of. Directly? No.

31. Is there anything changing about what and how we can ask things since it’s now all on us? No. You can still ask whatever you would like. The only distinct change is that I will be picking asks by complete random now, instead of a selection like I did before. I may re-randomize if the ask chosen has already been done though, just to prevent repitition.

32. What’s your favourite food? hi red I love noodles a lot

33. Is it overwhelming running this ask blog? Not really. It’s a little worrying for me if I don’t update very often- I don’t want this blog running for too long in case I lose motivation. Although I don’t think that would happen.

34. So are we now fully in control of our words? Like we could tell the Addison’s what’s been happening to Spamton without our voice being blocked by Goner? Yes. Quite. They might not want to listen, though.

35. What about Spamton and Jevil's relationship in this au? Do they know each other thanks to Goner? And was Jevil supposed to be the first vessel? Yes. Jevil was supposed to be the first vessel. Things did not work out because Seam managed to have Jevil imprisoned. Things didn't work out for Spamton because he was still sort of sane. Whole.

Jevil and Spamton know each other, I think. Met once. Worst day of Spamton’s life. Very funny day for Jevil.

36. So... You headcanon Spam to be gay here, yeah? You know what sure yeah the lgbts can have this win

Would probably organize a whole trip with his siblings to Ripley’s Aquarium and try his best to get Spamton invested into jellyfish so he could talk to him about scyphozoa ​​for hours. Meeting the Fam (Binoe x toddler!reader)

Binoe x toddler reader where the Team meets super shy reader after a football game. Reader is like small and cute but fast as hell and in the end runs around with a couple player

Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe. The power couple of sports. The outgoing couple who are never one to shy away from their feelings, somehow had me as their kid.

The shy kid, the one who would rather sit in the corner and read.

It sucked at times, everyone telling me "Why don't you have friends?"

"Don't you want to talk to people?"

The truth is, I don't. It's not that I don't want to, it's that I can't. I don't understand it.

I don't understand my momma's incessant chatter, I just don't understand people.

Why are people constantly giving my mommies plants?

Why do people scream so much?

I can't deal with them.

Maybe that's why the first year I was with my mommies they thought I hated them, until they noticed how I would grimace every time Megan shouted, every time Sue bounced a basketball excessively hard on the floor.

I hated the noise.

Which leads me to the question of why would me mommies bring me to this profound event full of noise.

"Meg? Y/N/N? We gotta go." Sue loudly said, looking around as she walks down the hall.

Sue finds you in the same position you were always in except Megan had joined you. She shook her head before giving her wife and amused smile, "Let's go, children. We can't be late to your game."

"Mommy!" you whine, "One more chapter."

"Megan, tell our daughter that we need to go." Sue sighs.

Megan looks at Sue with a tilted head, "But she has one more chapter." she replied with a sillier tone as you.

Sue glared at her, "Okay, okay. C'mon bubs, you can read more in the car."

Car rides were your favourite, as you plane rides. For a certain amount of time, everyone and reverting was just how you liked it. Quiet.

Megan on the other hand was the opposite of what you liked. And mixed with the radio was a nightmare.

She sang to genres from Frozen, to Dua Lipa, to Taylor Swift to BTS. You and Sue both agreed to sneaky put on ear plugs whenever Megan was in charge of the radio.

"Lots of people go, Mommy?" you ask after around 15 minutes in the car, to try to shut up your momma.

Sue smiles, looking back at you from the mirror, "Theres always a good amount of people there. If you get bored, we brought your books and some toys."

You nod, "They loud Mommy?"

"Yeah, bubs." she replies, "But usually only when they score."

"So like all the time." Megan add on exaggerating the 'all' earning a hit from her loving wife.

You giggle and hit you Megan as well, but it ended up as more of a pat on the back.

You and Sue burst out laughing as Megan acted insanely wounded from your blow.

Finally Megan looks over her shoulder and laughs, "Crazy child." while rubbing her back.

You shrug, bouncing up and down in your seat. Excited, but nervous for the game.

The three of you climb out of the car and your eyes immediately widen at the amount of people you see.

"Wow," you mumble.

Your mom takes your hand, "Lots of people, huh?" Megan kneeled down to whisper in your ear.

You nod absent mindedly as you were still taking in the vast amount of strange faces.

The two sport stars lead you through a series of doors before finally reaching a  medium sized platform with a great view of the field. Sue swung you onto a comfy chair with a cushion on it before settling onto her own.

"Where you go" You asked wide eyed as Megan had stepped out the door.

She looked at you, then walked over to where you were sitting "Do you see that field?"

You nodded.

"Well, that's where I'll be"

"Why?" You furrowed your eyebrows.

Sue chuckled and messed up your hair "She's playing sweetheart."

You pouted, but was quickly distracted by watching the fans form a wave.

As you were watching the wave you missed the loving gaze Megan shot at you, before slipping out the door.

"Why are you so late?" Julie shot a look at Megan, before looking at her watch.

"I had to deal with something." Megan waved the questions away, and joined the huddle

"1, 2, 3 USA!" We all shouted.

It was France vs USA.

In short, we won. As usual.

0-1, the screams were incredibly loud, but momma let me wear my head phones so it was okay.

When it was all over momma brought me over to a room and told me to wait there while she got mommy.

I  decided to finish my book, but someone interrupted me. I briefly considered murder, but decided against it when the thought of how bad it would look on my record.

"Help you?" I asked annoyed

"Huh? Oh, um I was just wondering if you were okay." the girl replied. She was pretty, with her blue eyes and brown hair. However her voice was something that interested me. It was nothing like I had ever heard before.

"Alex!" Another girl yelled "Come on! Megan said she had a surprise for us."

The blue eyed girl spared a glance at me before walking towards the other girl who was yelling.

After a couple more minutes of peace, momma came back but this time with mommy and another girl.

"Hey bubs" Megan greeted you in a high voice that always put a smile on your face

"So this is the infamous Y/n." The girl next to Megan stuck out her hand to shake "I'm Kelley"

"Hewyo" I gave her s shy toothy grin.

"Whats up?" Two other girls walked over to us. One was short, but the other looked like a giant.

"Sam, Kristie meet my daughter Y/n." Megan gestured over to me.

This pattern continued. People coming over and Megan introducing them to me.

Soon I met everyone, but still continued to hide from them until I saw one of the staff picking up some loose soccer ball on the field so I decided to help him.

It wasn't until Kristie noticed I was gone when Sue and Megan began looking for me.

They found me playing pass with Alex and Kelley.

"Hey kiddo! Over here!" Kristie yelled grabbing the attention of the toddler. Quickly she passed the ball over to Kris, and ran over to her to try to block her and get the ball back.

"Sam" Kristie shouted "I need back up! This kid is good."

"Coming, Sonnett come here"

As Kristie was distracted by her younger sister, you quickly stole the ball and ran towards the goal

"Dang she's quick." Lindsey said in awe

"She's like a mini you Kelley" Crystal teased

"What no, she's way to shy. If anything more like a Tierna" Rapinoe mused

Tierna laughed as Sonnett pouted when you scored a goal, and walked over to help retrieve you from Sam's arms.

You were laughing as Sam spun you around in celebration, when she put you down you ran over to Tierna.

"She's the Flash." Alex jokingly told Christen who rolled her eyes but went to join in the fun anyways.

Finally, after an hour later it was time to go. Instead of your usual behaviour of acting like they saved you from a disaster you were pouting.

You were pouting because you liked those girls, and your mommas could tell.

"Don't worry bubs, we'll see them again tomorrow." Megan reassured you.

"Really?" You asked, instantly brightening.

"Really" Megan replied.

“Okay, I tired now,” you say, rubbing your eyes.

Sue grins, “Come here,” she says, crouching down.

You run into her arms, hugging her neck. She picks you up and you rest your head on her shoulder.

Megan just smiles, watching as you slowly fall asleep on her wife's shoulder.

A ship I have with said character: None

A BROTP I have with said character: I want to say Eberwolf because that's his canon bestie but I'm almost more invested in the potential between him and Raine that sadly gets pretty much no exploration, and there's already so little with Eber too. But as it stands, I'll just say Eberwolf because we did get a scene in King's Tide that shows a deeper part of their relationship than the surface-level teasing that's usually shown and they have some good potential too.

A NOTP I have with said character: with Alador or Adrian, tho I'd say the ship with Adrian is worse but I dislike both of them and the one with Alador is the most popular Darius ship so it gets a dishonorable mention here

A random headcanon: His VA recently said that Darius would have a hawk Palisman and I've been obsessed with that since so I like to think he adopts a hawk Palisman from Bat Queen once things have settled down. Said hawk Palisman's previous witch died in an incident and since then they've had the ambition to protect people. Darius' own desire to do what's best for others causes the two of them to bond.

General Opinion over said character: The Owl House would be a better show if we got a whole episode dedicated to him, and between him, Raine, and Hunter he's the one character out of my current top favourites who I am fully confident will have his story end in a satisfying way and I think that about sums it up.

Additional thing that I don't know where else to put but want to bring up: I'd honestly rather have him end up as Hunter's mentor rather than his parental figure both beause I love the idea of the dynamic between Darius and the previous Golden Guard, and Hunter and Darius paralelling like that but also because I don't see Dadrius realistically happen even if it's a nice concept. Additionally, I'm just tired of so much Darius-related fan content revolving around Hunter but that just adds to it.

A ship I have with said character: Eeerugh none really. I mean there's Raeda but that's just mostly on the basis on it already being canon and I wrote this whole post about why I think Raine's story revolves a bit too much mostly around their dynamic with Eda but anyway,

A BROTP I have with said character: I believe in Raine and Darius highschool besties to enemies to maybe friends again but not really due to unfortunate circumstances

A NOTP I have with said character: I haven't seen any bad ships with them

A random headcanon: They're prone to overworking themselves and the BATs have to remind them to take care of themself and keep an eye on the time. Their sleep schedule is a mess.

General Opinion over said character: I love their personality, the fact that they use music-magic immediately put my attention towards them, overall very cool character but I just really wish their untouched potential wasn't untouched. Season three show me the BATs dynamic and how working towards overthrowing an emperor for most of their life has messed Raine up. They were willing to sacrifice their life, you cannot tell me they were healthy to themselves.

A random headcanon: I think Kris feels like an outsider not just as the only human in their hometown, but even among other humans. The bit where they see a picture of humans in a book and react by quickly closing it reads to me as discomfort and considering the only other two human characters in utdr ended up being adopted by Toriel and have an implied history of abuse, I think it's the same case with Kris. Anyway, they finally found a sense of belonging outside their family since the events of the game.

General Opinion over said character: Really enjoy how we always keep getting bits of Kris' personality and feelings even as the player has literal control over them, far more than we've seen of Frisk, and I'm looking forward to how that'll play out.

Fall Break 2019

Fall Break is a long weekend where students enjoy some fall weather and a take a break from classes. Since northern Michigan is a little bit too far to travel in such a short period of time, my teammate, Ella (left), graciously opened her home in Cranston, Rhode Island to myself and our teammate, Kristin (middle) for fall break! It was a quintessential autumn experience and I loved every second of it!

Ella wanted to show us all of her favourite places in Rhode Island. She is a very passionate “Rhody,” which made Kris and I very excited to go to this state we had heard so much about haha!

When we first arrived, we went straight to Ella’s high school’s football game which was just ending. Afterwards, we met up with some of her friends and went to a nearby Applebees’s!

The next day, we went to East Matunuck State Beach and took some photos and picked up some very pretty rocks! It was very windy.

Then we went to a pumpkin patch farm! It was so exciting for me, as someone who grew up in Florida, to experience these traditional “fall” activities in autumn weather! We went on a hay ride (pictured here), got lost in a corn maze, and even shot corn out of a “Corn Canon!” We all left with a little pumpkin to take to our house rooms.

The next day was spent driving and exploring some more parts of Rhode Island. I never knew how many colleges are packed into one little state!! We had some delicious food and enjoyed seeing other college lively campuses.

That night, we went back to Ella’s high school to watch “The City Cup,” an annual soccer game between Cranston’s rival high schools. It was so much fun and so intense!! Ella’s high school ended up winning (woot woot!!) and I also won because I got to have some delicious cheese fries while watching the match!

The next day, we walked around Ella’s neighbourhood, enjoying the beautiful weather. Then it was time to return to Smith. Overall, Fall Break is exactly that: a break in the fall. There are so many ways to experience Fall Break but I definitely loved spending mine with friends in Rhode Island!

otp susie and noelle and i refuse to hear any naysayers. i would not want them to get together right this very minute, because i think they both have lots about themselves to work on (noelle needs to work on her bravery/confidence, susie needs to work on trust and learn some serious people skills, and is only JUST starting to maintain friendships) but at the end of this journey when they’ll surely have grown as people and as heroes i have every hope in the world that they would be good for each other.

This is the second article that Film Daily has published about Gotham.

Gotham is an innovative show based on DC Comics characters and produced by Warner Bros. Television. The Batman origin narrative helped us, as rapt viewers understand how our favorite heroes (Batman) and villains (The Joker, Penguin) came to be the way they are. It also cast a light on just how Gotham City became the wretched crime-filled cesspool we all know & love.

Despite general network issues (the old “being moved to a much worse timeslot” thing), Gotham’s fanbase managed to rally Fox into renewing the show for a fifth and final season – a whopping two seasons short of what the fanbase were promised.

Gotham certainly doesn’t have a shortage of fans or viewers but Fox, like many networks before, has been using the outdated Neilsen rating system to make decisions about shows’ popularity. Let’s be serious: who under the age of 70 actually watches live TV anymore?

Just because an episode gets a viewing figure below that of a series premiere or finale, that doesn’t mean the viewership has fallen considerably. Networks now have a responsibility to establish a dialogue with streaming platforms to consolidate more accurate figures and finally find out for themselves which are the best performers.

Because Gotham is a Warner Bros. production, not a Fox property, sadly the show was less lucrative and more expendable for the network. The show being packaged with the hot mess Lethal Weapon for advertising partnerships also didn’t do the show any favors.

We’ve got plenty of ideas on how Gotham could be saved, but today we’re focusing on what the fans think of the show. TV execs: prick up your ears. Don’t you want to help this incredibly passionate fandom with a continuation of the stories that they love? We would . . . .
