Day 12 - Kotor

It's raining when I wake up, but after a while it stops and even clears up a little, so I decide to try to go to Kotor anyway.

The bus ride along Kotor bay is incredible even in this weather. It looks so much like one of the big lakes in Northern Italy at times, but then in other places is much more wavier than I've ever seen a lake.

Kotor's old town is beautiful, but also almost fake in that way that extremely turistic places are.

I hope that coming here with this weather would mean at least not finding too many people, but there's a CRUISE SHIPS PORT so of course the town is packed (also, at least one ship must be Italian because I saw more Italians today in Kotor than anywhere else in Montenegro for the past ten days XD).

There's a cat museum! It's small and strange, mostly filled with posters, postcards and small artifacts featuring cats. It's also quite charming, and they use the money they collect from the entrance fee and the souvenir shop to feed the numerous stray cats in town (I know there's a story here, I read it somewhere while I was researching for this trip, but I just can't remember right now).

I didn't really see the old town of Herceg Novi yesterday, so I decide to take a look today. Only... It's just one (very pretty) square, and then two different sets of stairs leading down to the fortress on the sea? Sorry not sorry, not going down a thousand stairs today XD especially in this weather XD

The sea does look magnificent from up here though.
