----- The request came on the list your daughter, Piper, wrote for Santa, and as soon as you saw it you ran to go show your husband, Lando. “Go karting” was written in scraggly letters.

You had anticipated it to be a joyous event in the Norris household. None of you ever put any pressure on your daughter to follow in either of your footsteps, but the image of your little girl in a racing suit just like her daddy made you smile. You surprised Lando with the when you both were cleaning up after dinner, but the reaction you got is nothing like what you expected.

“She’s not going karting. End of story”

“It’s what she wants, Lan, and I think it makes perfect sense.” 

“It’s TOO dangerous. That’s my little girl out there.” 

You’ve never seen Lando look this serious in his life. He’s not being overdramatic or overzealous, but there’s a fire behind his eyes that tells you that he’s dead set on this. 

“Do you think your mother was ecstatic when she found out her son was in love with one of the most dangerous sports in the world? Probably not, but she let you do it anyway. Because you loved it, and who knows, maybe Piper’s gonna love it like her daddy.” 

This is why Lando loves you. You're always realistic and you keep him grounded while he floats away into overthinking on situations like this.

“I guess I’m just scared for her,” Lando says more quietly, taking a seat on the couch and curling in on himself. You’re quick to join him and cuddle into his side.

“You’ve seen what I’ve been through Y/N - the training, the crashes, the missed birthdays and weddings, the mental toll, how can you still say you want her to do this knowing all of that?”  

You sigh as you take Lando’s hands in yours. You rub your thumb over the back of his hands while you ask him your next question.

“Looking back, do you regret anything, Lan? Would you give up racing entirely if you had the chance to start all over again?”

He shakes his head in denial instantly, and you can see the wheels turning in his head as you lay with one another.

“We’re not committing to her becoming a Formula 1 driver, babe. She just grew up seeing her daddy do this really cool thing and wants to give it a try, and I don’t think it’s the worst thing if we let her.”

Lando buries himself further into your neck and he mumbles his next words. “Our little girl is growing up, isn’t she?” 

You don’t reply back with your words, but Lando understands you perfectly as you cuddle further into his side.

It’s a rare instance when Lando tosses you the keys to drive to the track. He protects his McLaren like it’s his second child, but from the way his knee is bouncing in the passenger seat you know that he’s in no state to drive. It’s a perfectly mild cloudy day, yet Lando is wearing these ridiculous wide rimmed sunglasses that you can only assume he found in a hurry while foraging through your shared bathroom. While you may not tease him much for it since you know they’re covering his teary eyes, your daughter is still just as merciless and cheeky as her father usually is. Lando teaches her the word “allergies” on the drive down as he’s coming up with excuses for his sniffly state. 

When Piper first gets a helmet, she runs right past you to get her daddy to put it on her. She’s serious when she tells him not to make it “tew tight”, but Lando’s hands are shaking so much that he can hardly get the buckles done up anyways. She barely spares you both a second glance and Lando has to pull her back to give her a quick kiss on the helmet before she goes off. You both wrap her in your embrace and give her a squeeze until she’s telling you it’s time to let go, and Lando only gets halfway through his dad talk of “we can leave at any time if you get scared and I’m gonna be standing right here supporting you” before she’s already dashing away again. Piper is barely going past a crawling speed in the kart but something about the sight tugs at your heart. You’re used to this feeling, watching half your heart racing away while you’re on the sidelines, but you realize this is the first time Lando’s been in this position instead of being the one in the car. You reach for his hand and hold it tight as you lay your head on his shoulder. You two had so many “firsts” with your daughter: first steps, first time you left her at home, first words, and so much more, but none of them compared to this feeling of watching her karting for the first time. 

The first time Piper bumps into a wall Lando says that he thinks he’s gonna throw up and you have to almost physically hold him back from running out there to her. Once you see a big thumbs up from your daughter to confirm she’s okay, the whole situation earns a little giggle from you and you reply back with Lando with “imagine instead of going into the wall at 3km/h it’s actually 313km/h and you’re watching the father of your children crash.” 

Lando’s never seen your point of view before like this. You spent years on the paddock as the worried girlfriend, then as the worried fiance, then as the worried wife, and then finally as the worried pregnant wife (probably the worst situation of all since you were already nauseous anyways). You never once pushed him into retiring for the sake of your family - you could see the joy the sport brought him and he always appreciated your respect for that. He thinks having to watch on the sidelines might be even harder than actually being on the track, and he looks at you with a newfound appreciation for your strength as you cheer on your daughter.

“Thank you.” Lando whispers to you with a little crack in his voice.

It’s more than a thank you for convincing him to let Piper do this - it’s a thank you for supporting him all these years, through all the ups and downs of his racing career. You only hold onto him tighter as a response, pulling out your phone too to capture the moment. Whether Piper continues in motorsport or not, you know this is a moment that you’ll both treasure forever. 

That night Piper begs for you both to put on the home video of Lando’s first karting win while she eats her supper. You’ve never seen your daughter this happy before, and you know from the look on Lando’s face that he thinks the same. It’s only after she retells her experience in karting from start to finish for the 4th time over that you’re able to finally bargain with her to go to sleep. Her one concession is that she sleep with her helmet in her bed, an action that brings the tears right back to the forefront of Lando’s eyes since that was something he did as a kid too.

“Our baby girl is going to be the first ever female driver in formula 1” he cooes as you both stand at the foot of her bed. “Typical Lando” you call out, not surprised one bit that he’s gone from banning his daughter from stepping foot into a kart to imagining her future in motorsport history all within the span of a couple of days. You have to slow him down before he starts going off on a tangent about the best places to train and the moments he can’t wait for her to experience in the sport. But at the end of the day you’re so happy that Lando came around on this (an “i told you so” or two sometimes slip out when the topic comes up), and you know that it’s going to be a fun journey being karting parents for as long as Piper wants to do so.

Ever rarely gets sick. And even if she gets a fever she gets better within the day. Y/n gets really scared though because her baby girl has quite a history of her birth but Cat is very healthy. (Satoru is kinda predicting her curse technique based on this.)

The only thing Satoru can tell is that they hate the tuna sandwich he makes for his wife. Like every time Y/n begs him to make it and 10 minutes after she's run to the toilet and his effort is rejected by his babies. (Yeah, tough love when your wifey craves it, but your babies are protesting) It's weird, and he's just gonna accept it until those kiddos come out.

Ask and answer question: If Ciel had an older sister, how exactly would you imagine it?

I have made an oc that involves being older sister of Ciel. Originally she was supposed to be 16 when he was 10 but due to parents age gap…I changed it to 16 turning 17 with 13 turning 14 Ciel. I love your Twisted Wonderland/Black Butler verse cause it really helps me imagine more of Ciel’s character in Twisted Wonderland since my OC will also suddenly get to wonderland and me having a better idea of how these Phantomhive’s will more or so react and adjust. Like your fic, this happens after the whole twin shenanigans. I do have some ideas myself, but since your writing is much more detailed and advanced than mine as a minor. I think you could have a better analysis to Ciel’s character having an older sister cause you’ve been doing well writing his character.

I have also read how you have a mild case of tendonitis, (ao3 authors curse to me I’m afraid /j) I hope for you to get better and go back to doing the things you enjoy in that slow process mentioned. Please take your time. And thank you for writing a fic that had always lived in my head rent free as an idea, but into reality written on ao3. It always makes me feel a sense of emotion within every chapter :).

Oh boy…Okay. So here goes nothing.

If Ciel had an older sister I would think she would be a honest to god mix of the three women in her life. Given that Yana Sensei likes to draw busty women, (Even Francis is shapely just not as much as Anne or some of the other women), I would think that she would have a flattering figure physically, and look more like Vincent or Claudia. Rule one of the characters seems to be "The father's look like the daughters, and the mothers and the sons share looks" and it's proven to be true in a lot of ways. Lizzie looks more like Alexis. Big bright eyes, rounder features. Where as Edward looks like his mother, more angled smaller eyes.

So the sister would have to be more of a physical resemblence to Vincent. Sharper looks, slightly narrowed. Her hair would be Vincents and I could see her wearing Rachel's style with braided bun in the back. Her eyes would probably be more akin to Vincent's as well but have her mother's cunning. Dress wise, I can see her mixing the three womens styles, with some vibrant colors from Aunt Ann in there, and more delicate colors from her mother.

Personality wise…Oh lord. Okay so from her mother she would have Rachel's teasing personality. She would normally play little tricks on her brothers, but also be kind to to them, espeically O!Ciel. I don't thik she would have her mother's ailment, but she might have some breathing problems. I can see it being allergies. She would have her mothers eyes, like her youngest brother. She could displine others just as strongly as her mother. From Anne, she could gain an understanding of how to flirt, but rejects Ann's veiw of the English Rose. She'd be wary of her Aunt's affections as she probably would notice that Ann still loved her father, and so would tend to be closer to Francis. She'd learn from Francis how to be a leader, someone who stood up for the right thing. Given that I think Francis was trained by her mother, she would become a sword figher, and a shooter thanks to her father, along with being a good hunter like her Aunt.

From her father, she would learn cunning, trickery, loyalty and love. She would be someone I could see devoting herself to her family whole heartedly and doing everything to protect them. From Dee she'd learn diplomatics, to cook, and other matters. I can easily see her being proud of her little brothers and always playing with Sebastian the dog. Edward and her have a good relationship and, as with Lizzie and R!Ciel (and O!Ciel) she would be his bethroded, since knowing Vincent he would want his daughter to be able to be close to her siblings, as well as be with someone he trusts. Vincent would have taught her the same way he taught the boys, though, I'm not sure if she would be the one to be the watchdog. Though I could see him training her just incase something happened to either of her brothers. She would probaby agree with her father about leaving the watchdog title should R!Ciel be unable to do the job and O!Ciel is forced to take it over. Though I can also see a situation where she could take it on in their stead.

Her relationship with the boys would be close. She would want O!Ciel to become the toy maker and scold R!Ciel for his comments to Lizzie. I can see her enjoying dresses and the like with Lizzie and the two playing together. With Edward she would play cricket with him and be as good as her Aunt was. I can see when they get scared or worried they come to her. She'd be tutored at home as they were, though I suspect he might have her either study at either a day school or at a girls boarding school. Though I suspect, like Lizzie, it would be more home schooling. If she was away I think that might be what could have saved her life. However if she was home, then she might have been injured and either sold like the twins, or found by Anne. Either way, I suspect she would have trauma from the situation. She would probably realize the difference between the twins and aid her brother in getting revenge, and also be a thorn in the side of Sebastian, since she wouldn't allow for anyone to harm her brother.

I think she would be a bit less naieve than O!Ciel is at times, but also I suspect she would try to get him back to that innocent boy and not want him to stain his hands. I highly suspect that with a sister there, there would be different outcomes. Would be an interesting relationship with Soma given they'd be friendly, and she would be close with the servants as well.

5 headcanons from a Trollhunters AU of your choice?

So there's this AU that I've had vague ideas about for a while, a roleswap where I swap all the canon ships (not counting Word of God ships and ships where we never see one of the characters). Do note that while the canon ships are getting swapped, the only canon ship that definitely gets together in this AU is Jlaire. (Staja and Darby are both maybe's, but I'm leaning no because IDK how much sense they'd make in this 'verse. Everything else is a NOTP for me.) (Also due to the amount of canon ships, you get more than 5 headcanons.)

Stricklake: Waltolomew is Jim's dad. Jim's bio mom walked out on them when Jim turned five - she accidentally saw Strickler in his true form, and she just wanted to escape. She was concerned that Jim wasn't human either, and she didn't want anything to do with him. (She was right that Jim wasn't fully human, though that didn't manifest as anything other than a very mild iron allergy until he got possessed by Morgana.) Meanwhile, Barbara is a local doctor who ends up getting roped in after she sees too much going on with the local teen defenders, and also after she ends up as Jim's foster mom when Strickler went missing.

Jlaire: The last battle between Kanjigar and Bular took place in a slightly different location, one that Claire was able to ride her bike to. She picked up the amulet and wasn't detected as quickly as Jim was in canon due to Strickler not going into the women's locker rooms. This allows her to have just enough time to learn to fight without Bular killing her for not knowing her way around knives like Jim does. Jim, meanwhile, has recently had the truth of his heritage revealed to him. If he serves the Janus Order well enough, then he can undergo the ritual that could make him a polymorph. (He never goes through the ritual but gains the ability anyways thanks to Morgana.) In the latter half of season 1, he became Team Trollhunters' man on the inside because he can't accept a world where Gunmar reigns (and also because Claire is very pretty in her armor.)

Dromura: Nomura became Kanjigar's apprentice, and while she didn't 100% expect to become the next trollhunter, she is miffed that this human girl with no fighting experience became the next trollhunter instead of her. She also briefly had a fling with Draal, who's human form works with Barbara under the alias of Dr. Aalbregt. Nomura once tried to get Kanjigar and Draal to meet in the hopes that Draal would change sides, but Kanjigar claimed that the impure was not his son. Ouch.

Staja: I'm not saying that Aja is the school bully, but she is rivals with Claire & Mary for popularity, with Claire & Mary being the femme popular crowd and Aja being the star quarterback. (Aja and Darci were neighbors growing up, so they're slightly more cordial.) She also teases Eli, but in a more friendly way since he's her little brother's BFF (and also Eli might have a crush on Krel). Eventually, the Tarron twins + Eli find out the truth. Steve on the other hand is the slightly spoiled heir to House Palchuk of Akiridion V. Seklos help us all.

Nanavex: Varvatos used to babysit Darci and the Tarron twins, sometimes at the same time, because he lives near all of them. He taught them to fight and can tell that something is going on. He doesn't know what. Nancy's son, husband, and daughter-in-law were all killed by the Zerons, and she was left to raise her grandson on her own. Between this and

Darby: I just can't see Darci getting the gravity cursed hammer, and I also can't really see her using a bow in this AU despite her using it in my seasonal amulet AU. I'm gonna say that instead she stole a fancy looking flute from the museum at the end of the second battle of Killahead. This flute was actually the flute that belonged to the Pied Piper, and it allows her to control small animals... and also goblins, because of the long-running raccoon joke. Mary never gets quite as involved in trollhunting as the others do due to being squeamish around violence, which causes her to grow distant from Claire and Darci. The coup happens earlier, Toby makes a cool bracelet for her, and Mary is selfish enough that she decides to befriend this foreign weirdo in order to get cool bracelets. (Due to the coup happening earlier, the two supernatural groups meet earlier. Toby gets to meet Vendel, who is more impressed with him than in canon. Vendel also likes Toby better than Steve.)

Stuart x Gwen: "The bounty hunter (Stuart) you (Morando) sent after us (Steve, Nancy, and Toby) became part of our found family." Meanwhile, I have two potential takes on Gwen. The first is that she's an untrustworthy rogue agent, willing to sell alien tech but also willing to sell secrets to whomever she thinks can get her the best deal. The other is that I replace Gwen of Gorbon with Guinevere, who was an alien all along in this 'verse, and Arthur thought that this foul creature killed his wife when he saw her in her true form. (In the latter case, there would be parallels between Guinevere/Arthur and Waltolomew/Jim's bio mom.)

zoey was the youngest of the nash children. the last child that her father had before his untimely death just weeks after she was born. her mother left with the burden of raising three children on her own made it her mission to find someone to replace her late husband. eventually, hector aguilar came into their lives bringing his son, max, along with them. zoey immediately became attached to max - more so than who would soon become her step father.

from a young age, zoey learned how to become part of the background. she was never fussy, always did what she was told, and made sure that she helped out max as much as possible. she could tell the burdens that he had to carry even if she didn't know just how much he did.

History/Life: Nathanael Schuyler is the oldest son of the Schuyler household of Windsor Village. As a young boy, Nathanael was very outgoing and carefree, and he had big ambitions of joining the Scout Regiment alongside his veteran father Dawson and uncle Elijah Kaufman in hopes that they could defeat the titans together. As far back as he could remember, his mother Miriam's bakery struggled to keep with business, and Dawson was often away on scouting duties whilst trying to provide for his family so they could have food on the table and keep the shop open; even Elijah pitched in to help with their struggles and to make sure Miriam and the kids could eat, hence why Nathanael always looked up to Elijah. Nathanael could vaguely remember many nights where Miriam and Dawson argued over their finances and gave his portion of food to his little sister so she wouldn't go to bed hungry even if he didn’t have much to eat for himself. Eventually things would get better for the family once Miriam's bakery took off and they managed to stand on their own. 

With him being the self-proclaimed man of the house, Nathanael took charge in keeping a close eye on his younger siblings—Taylor, and young twins Corine and Clovis—and as such he was very protective over them and their mother. It was no secret that he was a momma’s boy, and he wasn’t afraid to show he cared and loved his mother even if boys his age poked fun at him. As a preteen, he got a part-time job working at Windsor Ranch, where he and Tay often spent their free time helping their friends break in the horses or walking down toward the creek to talk about their goals of becoming soldiers together. Besides getting into the occasional mischief and working himself to the bone for a great pay, one of Nathanael's favorite activities was making up extraordinary stories about what he believed lied beyond the walls. No matter how ridiculous even they sounded to him, they were enough to entertain and even inspire his sister whenever she missed Dawson and Elijah. The siblings promised each other that when they were both of age, they would enlist in the same cadet corps and train to join the scouts. The only ones to know of this secret were their friends Sam Dossam and Mel Oglethorpe, who were also planning to join the military (all except Sam was going into the Garrison). It wasn’t until they received the news that Dawson was killed in battle that Nathanael would begin to reconsider this decision. He was left so distraught and grief-stricken that he held off on enlisting so he could be there for his family as they mourned. He since stopped telling stories about the outside world, coming to the bitter realization they were better off safe within the walls. A few years passed and Nathanael was still interested in pursuing a career based in the military, and he got the idea that the Military Police would be the best choice as it would help benefit him in not only helping others, but in helping give his family a financially stable life. Fortunately for him, he wouldn’t go along as Tay enlisted with him with their eyes set on the interior.

His three years of training gave him little to no trouble, apart from him and his sister butting heads over him constantly watching over her. He was known to make friends with almost anyone fairly quickly, however there were many instances where he could be confrontational and was quick to jump to conclusions. He had begun to see Elijah, now an MP, as a fatherly figure up until he discovered his alcoholism was causing him to act violently towards his sister. This would end up in a physical confrontation and Nathanael cutting ties with him. Although Nathanael’s scores didn't qualify him for the top ten, Elijah was able to get him and Tay into the interior on recommendation. Nathanael only took the offer with his family in mind and intended to keep his distance from Elijah, and in hopes that he could change the system so there could be very few corrupted officers to make a difference. He ended up going alone in the interior after Tay and Mel had decided to join the scouts, and Sam enlisted for the Garrison Brigade. His goals would be achieved, but they would be achieved alone.

In the training camps of the 104th, he had met a young woman from Wall Sina named Sara Weber. He became immediately interested in her, and the both of them often flirted with each other that they were teased for acting like a married couple. It was almost rare to see them separated and trained together in hand-to-hand combat, and that soon escalated to long walks and conversations in the forest and small dates downtown. Nathanael fell hard for her, and knew for a fact that she was who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. They married in 851 and had a daughter named Alexandria. 

Nathanael had become a well-respected high officer over the years, but there would come a time his own sister would become his enemy. His fate would be sealed when he mistakenly fell victim to the wine tainted with the spinal fluid of Shifter Zeke Yeager, and was turned into a titan. Knowing there was no other way to save him, Tay ended his suffering in a mercy-kill and sliced his nape, freeing him from the torture of living as a titan.

Despite the many loved ones he's lost and the major life changes he experienced in his short lifetime, Nathanael would have hoped that his family would live long, happy lives. To him, nothing was more important than his precious family.

The idea of him eventually joining the scouts was scrapped.

-In a modern AU, he would become a police officer, but would later change careers and become a veterinarian which he ends up loving more. He would have a more "suave" aesthetic.

-He doesn't like shaving and thinks of his beard as his "signature look."

-As a boy, he always wore a black hat that he bought from an old shop. He wore it everywhere he went thinking it fit his style. When he leaves, he gives it to Clovis.

Andrew grew up in a family of five sons. He’s born as the fourth son, a few minutes before his twin brother. They were all born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland until the family decided to move to Kismet Harbor, where his father hailed from. Andrew was very well behaved and aimed to please his parents, doing so by doing good at school, having the right kind of friends and doing some extracurricular work. He was a popular kid in school, which definitely helped with his self esteem. Andrew always had an affinity for building and tinkering but surprised his parents when he studied healthcare in the university of Edinburgh, also to be closer acquainted to his heritage. He eventually switched his studies to become a physiotherapist, after his mother had an injury that limited her movement. He became fascinated by the ways of reducing the limitations and decided to make a living out of it.

Him and his twin-brother always joked about starting a contractor business as they were both handy and would often build things together. He got married at the age of thirty-one. Marriage was never in the cards for him because it never felt right, but after the pressure of his parents he succumbed and proposed to his then girlfriend. They got married and moved to the next village over.It took him a few years of marriage to begin to realise why he never had the complete sense of experience in his relationship, or any of them for that matter, when he hooked up with a man when on a work trip to New York.

He decided not to tell his wife the full extent of what had happened, but was ambushed when his wife set him down to have the talk about whether they should start having kids. At that moment he felt like the harsher he was, the more angry she could get at him without feeling any sense of embarrassment herself. Frankly also to protect his own. He told her that he wanted to end their marriage because he had come to realise his feelings for her were gone and he had always been one foot in the marriage anyway. They split up and Andrew moved back into the neighbouring village of Kismet Harbor.

Since separating from Nazli, Andrew ended up experiencing life as hectic. Telling the truth to his family ended up in fracturing his relationship with his father who had no open mind to same sex relationships and cast him out. His divorce with Nazi was messy as he eventually had to explain why he denied her attempts reconciliation for the truth, which led her to accept their divorce, but not without the process of hurting her feelings even more. Andrew learned to love himself more when he found on the receiving end of love by the hands of Roman Rhodes, of whom he took care after he got injured at the firework incident of the July 4th 2023 event, the same event that injured his father and month later resulted in his passing. After a rough period in his life, Andrew had decided to spend his time recuperating wisely and reviving his father’s construction company: Jackson Construction.

Andrew believed to have had it all, the man, the job, a loving village. Yet when he engaged a conversation about marrying and having children with Roman, he panicked. The easiest thing would have been to be ignorant and keep quiet, but he didn’t want Roman to sacrifice his happiness for him, and children just wasn’t part of the plan. He broke up with Roman, doing the same as he had done to Nazli and lied, even claiming that he wasn’t happy at the farm knowing that Roman would never give it up. It was shocking just how easily Roman believed him and with a heavy heart he left the love of his life behind. In order to keep his hands busy, he went back to work as a part time physical therapist again. Yet Andrew couldn’t get away, couldn’t find the escape that he needed that didn’t confront him with his reality. Per his twin’s suggestion, he left town. A hiking retreat with a spiritual ending in Nepal where he was cut off from technology for a few months, other than a few allowed hours per week to make a phone call. Andrew managed to get back in touch with himself, finding his distractions in more than one way. He dreaded the end of the retreat, but when he sat on the plane back on his way home, he felt rejuvenated, more focused. He returned home with the prospect of his twin soon to become a father, his company thriving and a place to call his own.

Okay so excluding the whole court and hierarchy, okay so he would still be pretty powerful!

- so Izuku was born with his quirk, but the only noticable thing at the time was a pair of translucent shimmering wings.

- so later on he would be able to fly.

- Inko later finds out that her son can also shrink down to the size of her pinky finger, which is a surprise and turn invisible if he so chooses!!

- he also has superhuman strength and durability even when shrunken down!

- as Izuku gets older he discovers that he can also manipulate light, heal small wounds make people follow his orders/do his bidding when he changes his tone of voice(mesmerization).

- his mesmerization ability scares him at first and he tries not to use it cause the one time he did on accident some of his classmates called him a villain.

- like most fairies Izuku would have a bit of a temper. Most of the time he is his normal sweet mild mannered self but if you bring up certain things he will get very angry, by the time he is a teenager he has it pretty much under control but it was a big problem when he was a kid.

- some of the things that will make him angry;

- his height.

- mentions of his mother.

- or his lack of a father.

- his dream of being a hero.

- bullying.

- and his looks(he doesn't think he's good looking and is upset when people bring up his looks) but it is a minor issue for him.

- he also has an allergy to limes and lemons.

Lloyd’s not helping matters either because he’ll finally have an older brother and Kai makes Skylor happy. So it’s a win in his books.

Kai meanwhile is both hating and loving the current situation.

On one hand unlimited food and drinks. Plus a new and shiny forge to play with.

Basically he can pretty much get anything he wants material wise with reason

On the other hand he’s being forced to marry what many would consider a sentient vector of yellow fever. Be a son in law to the man who kidnapped his younger sister and deal with a giant bat mom.

But he has gotten a cute little brother figure out of it at least.

Kai has tried numerous escape attempts. They’ve all failed.

Kai tried tying his bed sheets and doing some makeshift scaling down the castle walls.

I mean that ninja training has to count for something right?

He got caught by Misako on her morning walk through the castle gardens.

Misako: If you wanted exercise we have a dojo and gymnasium for such activities.

Kai: Yeah I was actually looking for those places. So uh nice gardens?

Misako: Thank you.

The next escape attempt involves mild poisoning. Garlic is supposed to kill vampires right? Well what if he puts enough in the family dinner to incapacitate them and or kill them?

Sweet talk Skylor into letting him into the Kitchen to share some traditional Ignacian cooking as a way to make his future in laws and wife happy.

After all chicks dig men who can cook and Kai is a decent cook.

Unfortunately his new in-laws didn’t inherit that garlic allergy and they really do seem to like his cooking. Way too much.

Even if he used ingredient that would put off anybody outside of the local Ignacians.

Like cow tongues and pig cheeks.

Operation Garlicide is a go!

Skylor: This is really good Kai. You said local herbs and spices are key to Ignacia’s unique cuisine.

Kai: Yeah I’m surprised you guys are really enjoying it.

Garmadon: I haven’t had properly cooked Ignacian Beef Tongue in years. It’s delicious. Though I don’t recall garlic being a heavy ingredient in it.

Kai: Well it’s a Smith family secret of course.

Operation Garlicide was a failure and now they want Kai to cook his Ignacian cuisine for a weekly family dinner.

Skylor is unperturbed by his clear murder and escape attempts.

That’s how mother and father made such a happy relationship work out after all.

Kai will accept and learn to love his new position eventually give or take a few centuries.

Especially when those other pesky ninja either join the coven or die off miserably to the latest villainous threat of the month

•Lucille Brewster is the daughter of Mortimer Brewster and Elaine Harper, she came along VERY soon after Mort and Elaine were officially married bc (Spoiler alert, but it's a 60 yr old play) Mortimer's not a "true" Brewster, he's adopted, so he thought none of the family strangeness would apply to his child.

•OH BOY WAS HE WRONG

•Lucille was born premature in 1945, as well as being born with albinism, a lack of pigmentation. Her premature birth left her immunocompromised as well as having an interesting condition: the capillaries in her nasal cavity never fully formed, so whenever she gets frightened, angry, or otherwise overexcited, she gets a HORRID nosebleed

•she's also textbook weird girl, having an interest in chemistry and forensic science from a young age, encouraged by her great aunts, Abby and Martha, and greatly discouraged by her dad. Naturally, her father's deep embarrassment of her perceived strangeness didn't help her shy demeanor, or Mort and Elaines semi-dysfunctional marriage, as Mort lowkey blames Elaine for Lucy's weirdness :/

•The family moved into the Brewster family home after the aunts' deaths, as it was left to Mortimer in the will, Lucy was around seven at the time, and this was when she discovered she could see and talk to ghosts, or rather, ghosts could talk *through* her. Mort found her in her nightgown one night, in the basement clawing at the dirt floor, eyes teary and glassy, shrieking in the voices of a dozen dead men, and he almost had the child (and himself) institutionalized then and there

•the basement was paved over not long after that, and Lucy never heard the 12 old men again

•the ghosts that Lucy is most familiar with are that of her aunts, who's souls still reside in the house, Spenalzo, or as Lucy calls him "the angry Italian bastard in the attic", and one that won't give her a name, but is very, very cruel

•She's been able to learn how to master being a sort of telephone and switchboard operator for the spirit world, how to stop certain things from getting through, and learning how to control it now that she's sixteen but it still takes a LOT out of her, leaving her physically and mentally drained, and often leaving the front of her blouse ruined with a nosebleed

•Frank Einstein-Brewster is also "technically" not a real Brewster, but technicality is a coward's principle, at least to fate

• He joined the family when Johnathan and Dr. Einstein returned to Chicago to take care of unfinished business. They returned from said business to find a broken window in the apartment they had been renting, and below the window, a child of five or six, catatonic and covered in bruises

•Being villains but not monsters they naturally gave the kid a place to stay out of the cold, but didn't plan to return the child to whatever awful place they had come from. When a couple came to the door of their apartment asking if the men had seen "a scrawny redhead brat" Johnathan offer the two where the stood in the hall, told the doctor to pack up the car, grab the child, and prepare to leave

•While on the run, the plan was to leave the child at a convent or in the hands of some loving couple but when the time came, neither Johnathan, nor the doctor could do it. So, not knowing any alternative, they headed for Brooklyn. Herman set up a surgery clinic, Johnathan swallowed his pride and asked his aunts for advice, and Frank found an unconventional, but deeply loving family

• He mostly calls them "doc" and "(ol') John" but make no mistake those are his DADS AND HE LOVES THEM

•Johnathan's still in the crime biz, but with a much more controlled temper, he mainly does the occasional hitman job, and is a househusband the rest of the time

•everything goes well until Frank is 14. Herman sends him out for groceries and the boy is run over by a truck right in front of their apartment. He's beyond saving, but They can't bear to part with him. They finally have a family. They're not losing their own son.

•The operation takes hours. It's some complex blend of delicate plastic surgery, graverobbing, mild electric currents to keep from total braindeath, and a whole lot of love but it works. They work together,, and they get him back. Confused, and in a whole lot of pain but alive, and glad to be.

•there are some changes though: Frank's hair stops growing, it doesn't fall out though, it just. Stays. He sleeps a lot more, and doesn't seem to blink as much. His muscles stiffen easily, and he suffers chronic pain, not surprising when your body is constantly in and out of rigor mortis, so he uses mobility aids. Forearm crutches and leg braces for relatively mild days, a wheelchair for bad ones. Not to mention the twice yearly organ replacements, it's what's to be expected from using things second-hand, they wear out easier

• But he's still Frank. He's still the fast talking, loud-mouthed Brooklynite that he blossomed into from a young age, he still loves horror movies and bad westerns, pulp fiction comics and radio shows. He still loves food, candy especially (he has a severe allergy to pecans however) and most of all he loves his folks

•he's got a nervous stutter, but still dreams of a career in radio or film

•His best friend is Hana Rizzoli, the daughter of the folks who run the pizza joint down the street, but he's recently made a new friend in the form of a weird, pale, mousy dame who reads in one of the uptown cemeteries after school
