Guilty As Sin? â Chapter One
pairing: professor!javier peña x f!reader
rating: series is 18+ only, minors DNI, not a lot here beyond some world building, the party starts next chapter :)
word count: 3.6k
series masterlist
Though it was the first day of the fall semester and your first day as an official law student, you felt exactly the way you had the year before when you were a struggling undergrad. Same town, same friends, even the same apartment in the student housing complex right next to campus that you shared with three of your closest friends, Nina, Derrick, and Alondra, who just so happened to be law students as well.Â
It seemed every aspect of your life had remained stagnant for the last four years, except for one critical thingâyou were now a single woman. Four years of the most confusing, toxic, passionate relationship of your life now dead and buried thanks to your ex-boyfriendâs inability to keep his dick in his pants. Youâd have to see him too this semester, though you tried to keep the prospect of an awkward run-in out of your head as you got ready for the day to the sound of a busy apartment. Nina and Derrick had breakfast duty this morning, the two of them shuffling around the kitchen as loudly as they could, it seemed. Alondra, like you, was sitting across the hall in her bedroom blasting Kali Uchis out of her speaker, though after two years of living together the noise didnât really affect you at all anymore.Â
âFoodâs ready,â Derrick said, popping his head in the crack of your open door.Â
Standing at six-foot-two with brown skin, hazel eyes, plump lips, and the sharpest bone structure youâd ever seen, Derrick was beautiful. The two of you had done an awkward dance ever since youâd known him, with Derrick silently crushing and you silently rejecting him. You didnât know what it was about him that didnât appeal to you; he was kind, handsome, and funny, all the things a normal girl could want.Â
But you never really felt like a normal girl.Â
You liked the men that didnât like you back, the men who desperately needed someone to fix them, always convinced that you had what it took to do just that. Of course, you knew better than that by now, but there was a part of you that worried you. A part you always had to keep an eye on, too afraid of your naive, trusting heart taking the reins.Â
âIâll be out in a sec,â you said, coating your eyelashes in a decent amount of mascara. Derrick leaned against the doorframe, watching you with something too close to adoration for your comfort. You laughed it off, waving your hand at him. âGo away.âÂ
âAm I making you nervous,â he teased. Truthfully, he was. Just not in the way he probably hoped.Â
âIâm trying not to stab myself in the eye,â you said instead.Â
âMmhm,â he chuckled, patting the doorframe. âHurry up, your plateâs at the table.â
âIf youâd let me concentrate.âÂ
Ten minutes later, you were sitting at the table with Derrick on your rightâhis plate conveniently set beside yoursâand Nina and Alondra across from you.
âIâm swearing off of hookups this semester,â Alondra announced, earning skeptical glances from the three of you. âI am!â
âUntil Sabina calls you up late at night claiming sheâs lonely and sad,â Derrick teased. You kicked him under the table only to find out that Nina had done the exact same thing. âIâm just speaking the truth.â
âYouâre a man, you donât get to speak your truth here,â Nina said. âAnd as for youââ She turned to Alondra beside her. âThe minute you run into that bitch, youâre done for. Best to accept it now.â
âNo, Iâm done with her,â Alondra insisted, though youâd all seen this before. Every fall, without fail, Alondra and her toxic cheater of an ex-girlfriend, Sabina, get back together, and every summer they find a reason to break up, only to repeat the cycle the next year. âI might try dudes for a while.â
âShut the fuck up,â you snorted, carrying your plate to the sink. âSince when are you into dudes?â
âSince Sabina ruined all women for me,â she sassed. âBesides, sexualityâs a spectrum.âÂ
âWhat about you?â Nina asked, turning in her chair to watch you wash your dish. âAny plans this semester? Hopefully ones that donât include a toxic relationship?â
âCertainly not,â you replied with a laugh. âIâm gonna be the most boring fucking person at this school this year. No shitty men, no partying, just school.â
âTwenty bucks I get her to black out this weekend,â Nina challenged, turning to Derrick and Alondra.Â
âIâll take that bet,â Derrick said, shooting you a wink.Â
âAlright, while you guys are betting, Iâm gonna head out to class. You know, like a serious law student,â you teased, drying your hands off before making your way to the front door. âIâll see you guys in class.â
The first class of the day was Dr. Brownâs Contracts lecture. Youâd had him during undergrad for your Criminal Psych class and specifically sought him out while registering because of his laid-back approach to teaching. Though he appeared to be yet another stuffy old man at face value, his personality was much more in line with that of The Dude from The Big Lebowski. He reeked of weed, loved to curse, and didnât give a shit about all the formalities the rest of your professors insisted upon.Â
Dr. Brownâs class passed by with ease, his lecture on the contract breach between Apple and Samsung paired with a meme-filled PowerPoint amusing you enough that you forgot youâd been sitting there for two hours.Â
The next class of the dayâDr. Armanâs Legal Research and Writing courseâwas far less amusing, but at least Dr. Arman didnât ask much from her students besides following along with slideshows and turning in the occasional paper. Still, the next hour and a half drudged on like feet on sand, Alondra nodding off beside you in the back of the lecture hall.Â
âShit,â she whispered, snapping awake after a nudge from your elbow to her side. âIs it almost over?â
âYeah,â you chuckled, backing up your bag. âI have to hustle to Criminal Law, you good?â
âYeah, just gonna rest my eyes for a second,â she mumbled, already falling back to sleep. With a fond smile, you rolled your eyes at her and left the hall.Â
The last class of the day was Criminal Law I, taught by Dr. Peña, a professor youâd never had in any of your undergrad classes. It was always a toss up every time you entered a new lecture hall whether or not a professor would end up on your shit list, and a sinking suspicion told you Dr. Peña would not be as casual as Dr. Brown nor as lenient as Dr. Arman. No, there was always one overly demanding, arrogant old prick of a professor each semester without fail.Â
Though youâd arrived fifteen minutes before class, all the good seats were taken by the time you walked into the hall, leaving only a few seats at the very front. Sighing, you looked longingly at Nina as she sat in one of the back rows, surrounded by a flock of hopeful men desperate to make her laugh. She caught eyes with you and gasped when she realized where you were headed.Â
âNo, girl, not the front,â she called, earning a dejected nod from you as you reached the mostly deserted front row.Â
As you unpacked your bag and notebookâyou hated using your laptop in classâDerrick quickly slid into the seat beside you with a huff, as if heâd just finished a marathon.Â
âHad to climb over a row of people to get down here,â he said, smiling at you.
âYou didnât have to do that,â you said, nudging his shoulder with yours.Â
âWasnât gonna let you slum it down here alone.â
âThanks,â you chuckled. âYou know anything about this guy?â
âYeah, my brother had him when he went here a few years back,â he said, opening his laptop. âApparently heâs a dick.â
âOf course he is,â you sighed.Â
âYou have class after this?â
âNope,â you shook your head. âYou?â
âNah, just the gym with Nina,â he said, stretching out his legs and relaxing into his chair. âYou could come, if you wanted.â
âI hate the gym,â you said, scrunching up your nose. âBesides, I need to go get groceries and stuff. Maybe get a head start on Brownâs project.â
âResponsible,â he nodded in approval. âBoring but responsible.â
âAll these boring years are gonna pay off when I graduate top of the class,â you quipped, earning a scoff.Â
âThatâs what you said in undergrad and who ended up graduating at the top?â he asked with a smirk, sticking his chin up with pride.Â
âI was one percent away from kicking your ass,â you rolled your eyes and chuckled.Â
âMaybe youâll find another shitty boyfriend to distract youââ
Though you would have liked to hit him for his comment, you were stopped dead in your tracks as the most handsome, brown haired, broad shouldered, puppy-eyed looking man walked out of his adjoining office and up to the desk at the front of the class. He carried an air of authority with his furrowed brows and disapproving frown as he waited for the class to quiet down.Â
âIf youâre all finished,â he said, unpacking his book bag while scoping out the faces heâd be spending the semester looking at, starting with the back. You watched him with interest, hating that kick of adrenaline the moment his eyes met yours. He seemed to linger for a half a second longer than he had with everyone else before looking away, furthering your delusional thoughts. âWelcome to Criminal Law I. My name is Dr. Peña, youâll refer to me as such. I except professionalism, conciseness, and competency from the lot of you. Youâre graduates now. Time to act like it.â
âJesus,â Derrick muttered beside you, shaking his head.Â
âThere will be no whispering, no texting, and for Godâs sake, no music in my class. Youâre here to learn and Iâm here to teach.â
You listened as a few students gathered their things and silently made their exit from the hall. Dr. Peña watched them with a smug look that did little to shoo away your interest. Fantasies of receiving that same look in a far more inappropriate context flooded your mind, visions of you on your knees in his office.Â
âGood, now letâs begin. Weâll be covering the penal code today, along with territorial jurisdiction. Can anyone give me a definition of the latter?âÂ
Never one to volunteer an answer without being called on, you waited for someone else to take the fall. Dr. Peña seemed just as patient, his arms crossing over his chest in a way that pulled at the fabric covering his arms. You quickly turned your eyes down to your notebook when he caught you staring, busying yourself with jotting down the date.Â
âIn the front,â he said, earning your attention. When you found him still watching you, you let out a small sigh. âWould you care to give us a definition, MissâŠâ
Giving him your last name, you searched your mind for the definition that you remembered learning at some point during your four years of undergrad.Â
âTerritorial jurisdiction refers to a courtâs power in a certain territory,â you said, swallowing down your nerves as you began to feel your ears heat.Â
âAnd in regards to Texas? Can you give me the section of the Penal Code that covers territorial jurisdiction?â he asked, his voice a deep, whiskey warm timbre that hit you like an aphrodisiac, your mind running rampant with all sorts of inappropriate scenarios of hearing that sinful voice up close and personal.
âIâŠdonât know,â you said, lowering your eyes down to your desk just to get a break from his steady eye contact.Â
âSection 1.04,â he said, a hint of arrogance in his tone. âNow that you have the section, would you mind reading the text for us?â
Taking a deep breath, you flipped to the section in your textbook, hoping that your nervous stutter didnât make an appearance today.Â
âI can do it,â Derrick volunteered, mildly irking you. Did he think he was saving you? Or was this his attempt at competition?Â
Dr. Peña waited until he was finished to admonish his interruption.Â
âThank you, MrâŠ,â
âCrawley,â he said, offering him a charming smile.Â
âYes, thank you, Mr. Crawley, but in the future, I ask that you refrain from interjecting. Iâm sure your friend was perfectly capable of reading aloud,â Dr. Peña said, causing Derrick to scoff under his breath. âAlright, I need a volunteer from the second row to read the next section.âÂ
Derrick seemed to take it to heart, his ever-present smile long gone as he typed his notes on his laptop.Â
âSorry,â you whispered, tapping his shoe with yours.Â
âSâwhatever,â he shrugged, but you knew him well enough by now that it was far from whatever to him. Derrick was always the best in every class, always adored by professors. You werenât sure heâd ever been scolded by a teacher in his life, let alone in front of the entire class. âHeâs a prick.â
âHeâsââ
âAre we interrupting?â Dr. Peña sighed, leveling a look at the two of you as if to say, really? You shrank in your seat, avoiding his stern eyes. âAnyways, you were saying, Miss Martinez?âÂ
After a tense hour spent listening to Dr. Peña pick on the class, it was time to pack up. You could practically hear your bed calling as you packed your things into your bag, exceptâŠ
âWould you mind staying behind for a moment,â Dr. Peña asked, calling your name. You gave Derrick a wide eyed look, earning a raise of his brow.Â
âSure, umââ
âIâll wait up for you,â Derrick offered, slinging his bag over his shoulders before filing out of the lecture hall with the rest of the class.Â
Once alone with Dr. Peña, you began to feel sick with anticipation, especially as he sat quiet at his desk shuffling through papers.Â
âIâd like to apologize for today. Iâm afraid we may have gotten off on the wrong foot,â you said, carefully approaching his desk. âI assure you, this is nothing I take more seriously than this. Iââ
âI asked you to stay behind because Iâm in need of an assistant for my undergrad Intro to Forensics class and your name was given to me by the Dean,â he said, looking up at you with a mixture of exhaustion and boredom in his eyes. Â
âWaitâwhat?â you gave him a puzzled look.Â
âYour name is listed in the TA program, is it not?â he asked, leaning back in his chair. You tried not to ogle him, but the way his white button down stretched across his broad chest made it damn near impossible.
âIt is, butââ
âYouâre one of the only law students available whoâs taken the class before,â he said, clicking his pen as he began to mark the syllabus sheets heâd passed out towards the end of class. âSo, what do you say? Three labs a week. Paid, of course.â
âIâm not sure I can handle the extra load, honestly,â you said. Though you were sure the extra work would certainly up the pressure, it wasnât the real reason you were so quick to decline. Truthfully, it was him. How were you supposed to be around him an extra three days a week when you were already worried about the three youâd be spending with him in this class? âBut if youâre in need of a recommendation, Mr. Crawley took Intro to Forensics with me andââ
âTake a day, think about it. First lab is Wednesday,â he interjected, glancing up at you with those brown eyes that looked both innocent and dangerous at the same time, a confusing balance your overly romantic heart longed to study in depth. You chuckled, a sound of disbelief over his disregard for your rejection, as you watched him turn back to his work. âIâll have the Dean send over a formal offer this afternoon.â
âWhat time are the labs?â you asked, slowly accepting your fateâor, more accurately, accepting his stubbornness on the matter.Â
âEight to ten in the evening,â he replied, sounding as though he might yawn at the prospect. âNot ideal.â
âNo,â you agreed, offering him a small smile. âI, uh, Iâll think about it.â
Not wanting to embarrass yourselfâor endure more of this delusional tortureâyou made your exit as quickly and gracefully as you could manage, waiting until you were out in the main hall to freak out.Â
âWhat did his fine ass want?â Nina asked, approaching you with Derrick in tow. You snorted at her brashness and rolled your eyes.Â
âHis fine ass wanted me to TA for his Intro to Forensics lab,â you replied, shaking your head as you looked through your tote for some gum, hoping to distract your rampant fantasies about said fine ass.Â
âWhat the fuck?â Derrick griped, shaking his head. âIâve been begging the dean to get me a TA position this semester but he said all the positions had been filled.â
âI tried to recommend you,â you offered, giving him a sympathetic frown. âI donât even know if Iâll take itââ
âThen let me,â he said, hope lighting up his eyes. Even though you still had yet to make up your mind on the matter, his assumption that youâd just give urubbed you the wrong way.Â
âIâm gonna think about it first,â you said, sharing a knowing look with Nina.Â
If there was one thing to fault Derrick for, it would be his tendency to step on peopleâeven his closest friendsâto secure an opportunity. Even when he didnât need to, even when heâd already won over most professors on campus, even when he knew his female friends struggled to reach even half of the respect given to him strictly because he was a man.Â
âYou coming with us to the gym?â Nina asked, changing the subject as she watched you bite back the urge to tell Derrick that maybe, just this once, it would be you stepping over him to secure a good opportunity.Â
âNo thanks,â you chuckled.Â
âLame,â she said, glancing over at Derrick who seemed to be lost in thought. âWell Iâm gonna go change.âÂ
âSee you later on,â you said, watching as she made her way down the hall.Â
âSo you think you might take the job?â Derrick asked, sticking his hands in his pocket.Â
âI might,â you admitted, shrugging your shoulders.Â
âJustâŠbe careful,â he cautioned, causing your brows to furrow. âMale professors can be creepy as fuck.â
âMen in general can be, yeah,â you laughed. âBut Iâm sure I can take care of myself.âÂ
He nodded, ticking his jaw.Â
âWell, I gotta go get groceries,â you lied, desperate to get back home, crawl into bed, and maybe do something about those fantasies from earlier. âIâll see you backââ
âCome to dinner with me,â he blurted, biting his lip as he watched you go through a rollercoaster of emotions. Shock, amusement, confusion, before landing on something akin to empathy.Â
âWhat? Derrickââ
âJust one date,â he promised. âOne date and if it doesnât work out, you knowâŠwe can just stay friends.âÂ
âI donât know that itâs that simple,â you said, looking anywhere but at him.Â
Why was he so dead set on going down this road; of making this mistake that you knew would end terribly?Â
âJust a date,â he coaxed. âAnd I promise no weirdness afterwards if it doesnât work out.â
âYou canât promise that,â you muttered, shaking your head. âAnd even if you can, I donât know that I can.âÂ
âThatâs assuming it goes bad,â he said, nudging your shoulder with a smile. âFriday night, you and me, some fancy restaurant I can barely afford. What do you say?â
Perhaps it was the new year, or maybe just the endorphins brought on by the sight of Dr. Peña in his tight slacks, but what did you have to lose? A good friend that you werenât even sure would be your friend if he didnât believe it was his only way in?Â
âFine,â you said, sighing. âOne date. No weirdness. No expectations.â
Derrick grinned, nodding as he pulled you in for a hug. âWonât regret it.â
âYeah, yeah,â you chuckled.Â
âExcuse me,â Dr. Peña appeared, in the doorway the two of you were blocking, causing Derrick to pull you out of the way and into his side. You watched Dr. Peñaâs eyes scan the proximity between the two of you, a hint of disapproval on his face that you were sure you were imagining. âHave a good afternoon, you two.â
âYou too,â you managed, sliding Derrickâs arm off your shoulder. âAlsoââ
Dr. Peña stopped, turning back towards you. âI, uh, Iâll take the job.â
âWhat?â Derrick scoffed, earning a curious look from Dr. Peña.Â
âVery well,â he nodded. âYouâll find the contract in your email tonight.â
âThank you for the opportunity, Professor,â you said, trying your hardest not to purr the last word out the way your filthy mind yearned to.Â
Thank you for the opportunity, Professor. Such a fucking cliche that you had no intentions on perpetuating.Â
Except for the fantasies. After all, what harm could come from a silly little fantasy? Â

Crush
18+ ---- {Masterlist} {Tag-List}
You have quite the crush on Rebekah's big brother, and you find yourself lost in the tangled web of unreciprocated feelings, yearning for a love that may never be yours.
âĄâĄ Thanks for the request @msveronicag, I may have gone a little off topic with this one âĄâĄ
6.7k words - Warnings: angst, masturbation, smut, corsets, Elijah being a history nerd and using it to flirt, Rebekah being the best (as always)
{Moodboard->}
You were excited to meet Rebekahâs infamous family. You thought Klaus, as notorious as he was, would intrigue you the most. However, the moment you laid eyes on him you knew you were doomed. Elijah. His charming smile, his piercing dark eyes and his strong hands. It took all your self-control not to blush and look away like some schoolgirl.
He was the first person who greeted you, his hand lingered in yours a moment longer than what could be considered polite and it sent butterflies straight into your stomach.
You were so gone, it was almost embarrassing. You couldn't help it, you were sure that anyone else would fall head over heels for him too.
But there was only one small problem: Elijah had eyes for another, Hayley Marshall. You tried not to be bitter, after all, they were just friends. However, you couldn't help but notice the way he looked at her, or the way she leaned into his touch. They way they would sometimes have entire conversations with their eyes. You couldn't stand it.
You had been so sure you had a chance. He had been flirting with you, right? But then you noticed that he was that way will everyone. He would flirt and smile, then gaze at you in a way that just oozed sex appeal.
You were staying in the compound with Rebekah and going to school full time. You enjoyed spending your free time reading, the Mikaelsons had an incredible collection of books and you had read a lot of them.
You were sitting at the table, a large book on medieval history in front of you. You were working on a research paper on romanticism in the middle ages. It was difficult, especially because there wasn't much written about that subject from this time period.
You considered asking Rebekah about it, but you knew it was a sore subject for her, so you decided against it.
You were getting ready to give up and start a new project when Elijah entered the room. You blushed at the sight of him, he was wearing a black T-shirt, and jeans. Looking the most casual you had ever seen him.
He gave you a friendly nod and headed to the bookshelf. He looked through the books for a moment, before taking one from the shelf. He placed it on the table before sitting across from you and beginning to read.
The two of you sat in silence for a while, both of you reading and not making a sound. You were surprised that you weren't more uncomfortable. The only sounds were the occasional page turn and the occasional noise from the city outside.
You got lost in your work again and came across an interesting paragraph about how poetry was used often to court potential partners. You wondered if Elijah had done that back then. He seemed like the kind of guy who would have.
The thought of Elijah reading you poetry made your heart skip a beat. You imagined him leaning in, his breath warm against your ear as he whispered words of affection and lust.
Your eyes glanced up, and your breath hitched when you realized he was staring at you. You flushed, quickly looking back at your work.
He chuckled softly and reached out, tapping the top of your textbook.
"Interesting choice of reading material." He said.
You gave him a small smile, "I'm trying to write a research paper on the Middle Ages." You replied. "About romance and poetry."
"Ah, yes." He said with a smirk, "I remember that time period fondly."
You giggled, "Of course you do. You were probably the biggest player around."
He gave you an odd look, crossing his legs and leaning back in his chair. His eyes looked you up and down, and you could see a flash of something indecipherable cross them. You were surprised by how intense his gaze was, and felt your cheeks growing hot, regretting opening your mouth.
"What do you mean by that?" He asked, his tone teasing.
"I... uh..." You stammered, not sure how to respond. "You just seem like the type who'd have his pick of women."
Elijah smirked, his dark eyes meeting yours. "And why would you think that?" He asked, his voice low and dangerous.
You swallowed nervously, and his eyes narrowed slightly. You realized he was toying with you, and that he could hear your heartbeat quickening. You weren't going to let him win.
"I think you know why." You said, your voice surprisingly steady.
Elijah chuckled, his eyes roaming over your body once again. He put his hand on this chin and looked at you thoughtfully. "In the middle ages I was actually quite solitary." He said, a smirk still playing on his lips.
"What was it like back then?" You asked, trying to steer the conversation away from your previous comment.
Elijah's expression softened slightly, and his gaze seemed far away. "It was a different time." He said wistfully.
You couldn't help but stare at him. His eyes were filled with such pain and sadness. You knew he'd experienced terrible things, and that it must've been difficult for him. But somehow he'd managed to survive and maintain his humanity, something that very few vampires could say.
"What was it like to date -sorry- court someone back then? You asked, hoping to get a better understanding of him.
"Women were often married off when they were very young." Elijah said, a grim expression on his face. "They had no say in the matter. But there were ways around it."
He paused, his eyes meeting yours, and a slow smile spread across his lips. "It wasn't easy to be alone with a woman, not even for a moment. If you wanted to seduce her, you had to be creative."
Your face turned a deep shade of crimson, and you were suddenly thankful for the dim lighting. You shifted in your seat uncomfortably, and he chuckled softly, clearly amused by your discomfort.
"What we are doing right now, alone in this room," he said, his voice low and seductive, "it wouldn't be allowed. Not without a chaperone. And if we were discovered, the consequences would be severe."
His eyes flashed with desire, and you found yourself unable to look away.
"What would they do?" You asked, your voice barely a whisper.
"Well," he said, his tone mischievous, "you'd have to marry me, of course."
Your eyes widened in shock, and he laughed loudly, enjoying the reaction he'd gotten from you.
You felt flustered and embarrassed, but also oddly flattered. You couldn't believe he'd actually suggested that, and the thought of it made your heart race.
You wondered if he was joking, but you didn't dare ask. You weren't sure you could handle the answer.
The two of you sat quietly for a moment, before Hayley walked in holding Hope. She gave Elijah a questioning look and he stood, walking over to her. You watched as he placed a gentle kiss on the baby's forehead.
"Can you watch her for a few hours? They need me in the bayou," she asked him, her eyes wide and pleading.
"Of course." He replied, giving her a small smile.
She smiled gratefully, placing a hand on his cheek. "Thank you," she said, her voice soft and affectionate.
Elijah took Hope from Hayley's arms and cradled her gently. Giving her a wide smile and making funny faces, causing her to giggle. You couldn't help but smile. He was so sweet with her.
Hayley looked from you to Elijah, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "See you later." She said, before walking away.
Elijah nodded, his gaze lingering on her a moment before turning back to you. You looked down at your textbook, feeling guilty and jealous all at once.
He walked over to the couch and sat down, Hope still in his arms. You couldn't help but stare at the two of them. Elijah held his niece with such tenderness, and Hope seemed completely content in his arms. He was rocking her back and forth, humming a soft tune under his breath.
You'd never seen anything more beautiful.
Hope's eyes slowly started to droop, and Elijah smiled down at her. He continued to hum and rock her until her eyes finally closed, and she was asleep.
"You are so good with her." You said, unable to hold back the compliment.
He smiled, and his eyes met yours. You felt your heart skip a beat, and you quickly looked away, embarrassed.
You were sure he could hear it.
"Thank you," he said, not taking his eyes off Hope.
You tried to focus on your work, but it was difficult. Your mind kept wandering, and you found yourself glancing over at him more and more.
"I better go put her down, have a nice night." He said, standing up with Hope in his arms and heading towards the nursery.
"You too," you replied, smiling up at him.
Once he was gone, you let out a sigh and sank back into the couch. Your heart was still racing, and you were sure your face was still bright red.
It was the first time the two of you had been alone together. The first time you'd gotten a glimpse of his softer side.
And it made you want him even more.
Over the next few weeks you kept finding yourself alone with him. In the kitchen, in the library, on the balcony. It was getting harder and harder to hide your feelings, and you weren't sure how much longer you could keep it up.
He would ask you questions about your paper, and the two of you would talk for hours. He would listen to your ideas and tell you of his own experiences in the Middle Ages.
You loved how passionate he was about everything. The way his eyes lit up when he talked about something he enjoyed.
You wondered if he could see how you were falling for him, if he noticed how you blushed whenever he touched you. You were sure he did.
You knew it was foolish, but you couldn't help it. Every time you were around him, you couldn't stop yourself from imagining what it would be like to kiss him, to touch him. To be with him.
But he didn't seem interested, he didn't look at you the way he looked at Hayley.
One night, the two of you were sitting on the balcony, watching the stars. He was telling you a story of how he courted a woman who was to be wed to another, he would compel her betrothed to forget that he was around her.
"I don't miss much about those times, everything smelled terrible and fanaticism ran rampant, but there was something about the secrecy and the scandal that made it all..." He paused, looking for the right word, "exciting."
You chuckled, "I'm sure. But the fact that a lady could be forced to marry a man she didn't want... that sounds horrible."
"It was," Elijah agreed, "but not everyone was unhappy. Some women preferred it."
"Why?" You asked, your brows furrowing.
"Some liked the idea of being taken care of, of not having to make decisions or choices." He shrugged. "Others simply liked the security."
"What do you think?" You asked.
He turned to look at you, his eyes studying your face intently. "I think it was wrong. No woman should be forced into a marriage she doesn't want. No one should have that much power over another person."
You smiled, glad that he held similar opinions to your own.Â
"But I do miss the corsets, the anticipation when taking one off, pulling the ribbons and slowly revealing the soft, delicate skin underneath," his eyes met yours, his gaze intense. "It was like unwrapping a gift, a treasure."
You couldn't stop yourself from blushing, his words making your heart race.
He chuckled softly, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He took a sip of his bourbon and leaned back in his chair, his gaze never leaving yours.
"Do you have enough information for your paper now?" He asked.
You smiled and nodded, "yes, but I don't know how to credit my sources," you chuckled. "I can't tell my professor that I'm writing a paper on the middle ages based on the first hand account of a vampire I know," you grinned.
"Hmmm, yes, I suppose that would be difficult." He said, his tone teasing. "How about you quote a 'unique source' that has a vast knowledge of the subject and a passion for it?"
You laughed, "That might work."
"Good," he said, offering you his hand. "Shall we?"
You looked at him quizzically, "where are we going?"
He smirked, "to the 14th century, of course."
"What?" You said, staring at him in disbelief.
"First hand experience is far more educational than anything written down," he said, taking your hand in his.
"You ready?" He asked, his expression serious.
You bit your lip nervously, unsure of what was about to happen, but you trusted him.
"Ready."
You were immediately plunged into his memories. He was standing in a large stone hall, surrounded by people in period clothing. There was laughter and music, and the scent of roasted meat and wine filled the air.
You watched as Elijah walked through the crowd, smiling and greeting people as he passed. He was dressed in a dark red tunic, and his hair was slicked back into a ponytail. It was an amusing haircut for him, but it was the fashion back then.
You followed him as he made his way towards a woman standing in a corner. She was beautiful, her dark hair was braided into a crown on her head, and she was wearing a yellow gown with red embroidery.
Elijah stood next to her, his hand resting on her arm. She turned to look at him, her eyes filled with longing. A feeling you knew well.
"My Lady," he said, bowing his head.
"Sir," she said, her voice soft and sensual.
"Would you care to dance?" He asked, offering her his hand.
She hesitated, her gaze shifting towards a man who was watching them intently.
"I don't think my husband would approve."
"You worry too much," Elijah said, taking her hand and leading her onto the dance floor.
They began to move together, their bodies swaying in perfect sync. You couldn't tear your eyes away, watching the two of them. They moved with such grace and elegance, it was like watching a dance meant only for the two of them.
A sudden movement caught your eye, and you saw the woman's husband storming towards the couple. His eyes were filled with rage, and his jaw was clenched tightly.
"Elijah," you said, hoping he could hear you.
But he didn't respond, instead he continued to dance with the woman, ignoring her husband's fury. When the husband reached them, Elijah simply grabbed the man and compelled him.
"I'm going to take a walk with your wife, she will be back before the sun comes up."
He let go of the man, who immediately walked away, not saying a word. Elijah offered his hand to the woman, and she took it, a small smile playing on her lips.
They walked out of the castle together, and you found yourself following behind. You watched as they strolled through the gardens, their hands entwined. They stopped under a large oak tree, and Elijah pulled her close, kissing her deeply.
You were mesmerized by the scene, your heart aching for the man you had grown to love. You wished it was you in her place. You wished he would kiss you like that.
You heard Elijah's voice, but it wasn't coming from the version in front of you. "I courted her for months, sneaking into her chambers, bringing her flowers and trinkets," he chuckled. "It was rather clandestine and exciting."
"What happened?" You asked, wanting to know the ending.
"She became pregnant with her husband's child." He said, his voice low and full of regret.
Your heart ached for him, and for the woman who had been forced to marry another man. The memory faded and you returned to the present, still holding Elijah's hand.
"I'm sorry," you said, not knowing what else to say.
He smiled, "It's alright, it was a long time ago."
"It's lonely isn't it? Being a vampire?" You asked.
He was quiet for a moment, before answering. "Yes. I think it's why I value my family so much," his gaze shifted to yours, and he gave your hand a gentle squeeze. "And why I treasure our friendship."
"Me too," you said softly, smiling up at him.
You both sat in silence for a while, watching the stars and enjoying each other's company. After a while, Elijah stood, fixing his suit jacket and giving you a smile. "I hope you get an A on your paper."
You grinned, "Thanks for the help, Elijah. Goodnight."
You went to your room, lying awake in the dark. Your thoughts consumed with him, the way he spoke to you, the way he looked at you. The memory he had shared with you, it was so personal, and yet he didn't mind that you were there.
Your mind wandered to the way he was kissing that woman in the garden. His lips pressing against hers, his hands gripping her waist, his body flush against hers. You could see the way her head fell back, her eyes fluttering shut. You could feel the heat between them.
Your skin began to flush, and you felt a warmth between your legs. You had never felt such an intense desire for someone before, but there was no denying it.
You wanted him, you wanted to experience that kind of passion, that kind of intimacy.
Your hand trailed down your body, slowly slipping under the waistband of your panties. Your fingers brushing against your most sensitive spot. You gasped at the sensation, biting your lip as you started to circle your finger slowly.
Your eyes fluttered shut and you pictured him above you, his body pressed against yours as he kissed your neck and shoulders. Your hand moving faster as you imagined what his mouth would feel like on your skin, what it would feel like to have his lips pressed against yours.
You gasped, arching your back as you felt yourself coming undone, his name on your lips as you imagined him touching you.
Your chest was rising and falling rapidly, and you felt the aftershocks of your orgasm ripple through you. It was a satisfying release, but it left you wanting more.
You were determined to have him, to taste him, to feel him inside of you. You were going to make him yours.
You practically skipped into the compound, giddy and excited to share your A+ grade on your paper. Elijah had been so helpful, and you couldn't wait to show him.
You heard voices coming from the courtyard, and you hurried past the gate, hoping to find him. You stopped dead in your tracks when you saw him, his arms wrapped around Hayley.
Her hand was tangled in his hair, and her body was pressed against his. Their eyes were closed, and their lips were locked in a passionate kiss.
You couldn't move. Your heart was shattered. You'd been foolish, thinking you had a chance with him. He was just being nice in his typical flirty way, and you were dumb enough to think it meant more. You'd just been reading into things.
You felt tears sting your eyes, and you quickly walked past them and up to your room. You collapsed onto the bed, your heart broken.
You cried, unable to hold back the pain.
You felt so stupid.
He didn't like you, he was just being friendly. And you'd fallen for it, hook, line, and sinker. How could you possibly believe someone like him could ever like someone like you?
You heard a quiet knock at your door and Rebekah walked in, she had heard you crying and came to check on you.
"Hey, are you alright?" She asked, sitting down on the bed beside you.
"I'm fine." You said, your voice hoarse.
"Just crying for fun then?" She said, giving you a knowing look.
You sighed and sat up, wiping the tears from your face. "I'm just being silly," you said, shaking your head.
She sat down next to you and pulled you into a hug, which caused you to cry even more. She rubbed your back, trying to comfort you.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.
"No, I just need to get over it." You said, your voice breaking.
"Get over what darling?" Rebekah asked, her eyes filled with concern.
"Elijah." You said, wiping away your tears.
She looked at you, confusion written all over her face.
"I may have a bit of a crush on your brother." You confessed.
She laughed, "Oh is that all? I thought you were going to say something terrible."
"What? You aren't surprised?" You asked, staring at her in disbelief.
"You're not exactly subtle, darling." She chuckled. "Your heart beats faster, making your cheeks flush, whenever he's near. And your eyes light up like Christmas morning whenever he talks to you. It's rather obvious."
You couldn't believe she had noticed all that. Damn vampires and their heightened senses, you were mortified. If Rebekah noticed then Elijah definitely did as well.
You buried your face in your hands, your cheeks burning with embarrassment.
"So why the tears?" Rebekah asked, patting you on the shoulder.
"Because I just saw him kissing Hayley."
Rebekah was quiet for a moment, thinking it over. She put her arm around your shoulders.
"That might not mean anything, they're just friends. They have a complicated history," she explained.
You shook your head, "No, I saw the way he looked at her, the way she kissed him. There's definitely something between them, and it's more than just friendship."
Rebekah sighed and hugged you again."He's an idiot, always been that way around women. Sometimes I think it's more of a blind spot for him than Klaus," she said, her voice soothing.
You chuckled and wiped away your tears.
"He'll come around eventually," she said, smiling softly. "He just needs time to figure it out."
"Figure what out?" You asked, sniffling.
"That you're the perfect girl for him," she said, giving you an affectionate smile.
You smiled back and hugged her, thankful for her support. You felt a little better, and you were glad that she didn't judge you.
"I have an idea, a way for you to make him see what a catch you are," Rebekah said, her eyes glinting.
"Really?" You asked, excited at the prospect.
"Yes and it will be a chance for you to get him alone, away from Hayley," she smirked.
"I don't want to be that girl..," you started, not sure if you should meddle.
"I am," she grinned.
You chuckled, and Rebekah began telling you the plan. You listened intently, feeling better already. You were excited, and nervous.
But mostly excited.
Rebekah's idea was to have a costume party, she loved any excuse to throw one. It also gave you a reason to dress up, to catch Elijah's eye.
You went shopping with Rebekah, she wanted to make sure you got something that would suit your figure. She asked you what sort of theme it should be and you couldn't resist choosing one that you knew well: a medieval theme.
You found a beautiful, off the shoulder, forest green dress, with a tight laced corset that had gold threading, and long, flowing, bell sleeves. It was the perfect combination of modern and historical and it made your tits look fantastic.
Rebekah had gone with a blue version of the same dress, and the two of you were having a blast getting ready. She helped you style your hair for the night and even did your makeup, making sure that your look would draw Elijah's eye.
"Ready?" She asked, as the two of you looked at yourselves in the mirror.
"Yes," you said, trying to mask your nerves.
The two of you made your way down to the courtyard, where the party was in full swing.
Everyone was dressed in costumes from various time periods, and the atmosphere was electric. The music was loud, and people were dancing, laughing, and having a good time.
You saw Hayley and Klaus talking to some guests, and your eyes wandered around the room, looking for Elijah.
He was standing by the bar, his eyes scanning the crowd. He looked incredible, his dark hair perfectly styled, wearing a black velvet suit jacket with a high collar, a blue cravat and a white dress shirt.
Hayley walked up to you and Rebekah, and complimented the both of you on your dresses. She was dressed in a Victorian era gown, complete with a corset and a large bustle.
"So, where's Elijah tonight?" Rebekah asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Oh, he's around here somewhere," Hayley said bitterly, glancing around the room.
You felt a twinge of excitement. She sounded irritated by him. Maybe she wasn't happy in their relationship.
"What's wrong ?" Rebekah asked her, squeezing your hand subtly. You loved how sneaky she could be sometimes.
"It's just," Hayley paused, her eyes narrowing as she thought about her answer. "I don't think he's very interested in a relationship with me, he's been avoiding me all night."
Rebekah and you shared a look, a smirk playing on your lips.
"He's a hard one to read, that's for sure," you said, trying to sound sympathetic.
"I'm sorry to hear that darling, but perhaps its for the best," Rebekah added.
"Maybe, I just thought we were on the same page, I thought we had something," Hayley said, a pout forming on her lips.
You could see the pain in her eyes, and you couldn't help but feel sorry for her. You knew exactly how she felt.
"You're a gorgeous woman, and any man would be lucky to have you," Rebekah said, her voice genuine.
"Thanks," Hayley said, a sad smile on her face. "There is this guy here, his name is Jack, we've been flirting all night and he wants to dance with me," she said, looking over at a tall, handsome man in a knight costume.
"Then go," Rebekah said, smiling at her.
"Yeah, you deserve some fun," you said, trying not to sound too happy that Elijah might be single.
"Alright, I'm gonna do it," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
She walked off, and Rebekah turned to you, her face breaking into a wide grin.
"How unfortunate for Hayley, how fortunate for you," she smirked.
You couldn't help but smile.
"Go, now's your chance, he's all alone." Rebekah said, her eyes scanning the room.
"I'm not going to make a fool of myself," you said, shaking your head.
"You're not going to make a fool of yourself darling, you're going to have a wonderful time," she said, giving you a little shove.
You took a deep breath and headed toward Elijah, your heart racing. He looked very similar to how he dressed in the memory he shared with you, and you felt butterflies in your stomach.
He was standing alone by the bar, his gaze distant. You walked up to him and smiled, trying to ignore the lump in your throat.
"Hey," you said, trying to sound casual. "Nice outfit, all you are missing is the ponytail,â you added, grinning at him.
"Some things are better left in the past," he teased, his eyes wandering over your dress. "You look lovely," he added, a small smile on his face.
"You like the corset?" You asked, biting your lip and giving him a twirl. You always felt so giddy around him, it made you do silly things, like this.
His eyes widened, and a smirk spread across his face. "Yes, it's quite flattering," he said, his gaze lingering on your breasts.
You blushed but maintained your composure, Elijah liked confident women, and you were going to show him what he was missing.
"Does it remind you of the era?" You asked, a flirty tone in your voice.
"No, it's far too revealing for the time period," he smirked.
"Oh, really? You didn't think this was sexy in the middle ages?" You asked, arching an eyebrow.
"I didn't say that," he chuckled.
"Good," you smiled, "I worked hard on this outfit."
He looked at you, his face full of curiosity.
"You are definitely thorough in your research," he said, his eyes twinkling.
"I forgot to tell you I got an A+ on the paper, thank you for your help," you said, smiling brightly.
"It was a purely selfish reason, I wanted an excuse to spend time with you," he said, his words catching you off guard.
"Oh, I," you stammered, not sure how to respond.
"You are always very easy to be around," he said, giving you a gentle smile.
You smiled and nodded, his compliment filling your heart with joy.
"Care to dance?" He asked, offering you his hand.
Your heart raced, and your breath caught in your throat. You nodded, unable to form words. He took your hand and led you to the dance floor, his grip firm and possessive.
You looked up at him, your heart pounding. He was so handsome, and the way he was looking at you made you weak in the knees.
You closed your eyes and let him lead, the feel of his hands on your body making your blood run hot. You couldn't believe this was happening, it felt surreal.
"I have a confession," he said, his voice barely audible above the music.
"What is it?" you asked, looking into his eyes.
"You make me nervous," he stuttered, his words causing your heart to flutter.
You let out a louder laugh than you meant too, then turned bright red and some people glanced at you. You didn't want him to think you were laughing at him, but you couldn't stop.
"Me? Nervous? How do I make you nervous?" You asked, genuinely curious.
He tilted his head in confusion, a wide smile forming on his face.
"I mean, look at you," he said, his fingers gently brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "You're breathtaking."
You blushed, not used to receiving such compliments. "You make me nervous too," you confessed, smiling shyly.
"I know," he smirked, causing you to blush deeper.
You gazed up at him, his brown eyes full of warmth and admiration. He truly was an incredible man.
You rested your head against his chest and closed your eyes, letting the music and the feeling of his arms around you wash over you. It felt like the most natural thing in the world, like you were made for each other. Your heart soared, you felt like you were dreaming.
He leaned down and whispered in your ear, "Do you want to go somewhere quieter?"
Your eyes snapped open and your heart raced, his question sending a rush of heat to your core.
He wanted you.
You nodded, unable to form words. He took your hand, a smirk forming on his lips as he led you toward a balcony. You followed him eagerly, your heart hammering in your chest.
The cool air hit your face, and he led you to a secluded area, away from the other party guests. You gazed at him, your desire for him overwhelming.
He placed his hands on your waist and pressed you up against the wall. His lips were mere inches from yours, his eyes burning into you.
His fingers brushed against the side of your face, then he leaned in and kissed you. It was slow and passionate, his lips soft against yours. You let out a quiet moan as you melted into his kiss.
He pulled away and looked at you, his eyes full of desire. "You have no idea how long I've wanted this," he breathed.
"Then why were you kissing Hayley?" You blurted out before you could stop yourself. You felt terrible for even saying it, it made you seem jealous and possessive. You knew it wasn't fair for you to get upset at him, you had no right to. But you couldn't help it.
His eyes widened and a smirk spread across his face. "So you are jealous?"
You blushed and averted your gaze.
"It was a mistake, she caught me by surprise," he explained, his fingers brushing your hair back. "I'm sorry if I hurt you."
You nodded and looked up at him. He smiled and kissed you again, this time harder and more passionate.
He broke the kiss and whispered, "I've been drawn to you from the moment I met you."
Your heart soared at his words, your desire for him overwhelming. You wanted to feel his skin against yours, you needed him.
"Do you want to see my room? I have some books to share with you," you asked, knowing neither of you were doing any reading tonight.
He raised an eyebrow, "Lead the way," he said, his eyes twinkling.
Your heart pounded with excitement, and you took his hand in yours, leading him up to your room. You couldn't believe this was happening.
He closed the door behind him and kissed you, leading you backwards towards your bed. The back of your legs hit the edge and you fell down on the bed, your chest rising and falling rapidly. The corset making it difficult to breath, you tried to keep calm as you looked up at him. The reality was better than any fantasy you could ever dream of.
He placed his knee on the bed and leaned down to kiss you, his hands moving over your body, his fingers tugging at the laces of the corset. He did it slowly, each pull causing your breasts to spill out a little more.
He hummed softy, leaning down and kissing your neck and collarbone as your corset fell to the ground. He was so gentle with you, treating you with care, his movements deliberate and confident.
He unlaced the front of your dress, exposing your breasts. He gazed down at you, a look of wonder in his eyes. You couldn't help but blush at his reaction.
"Did you wear this in the hope I would take it off?" He asked, his voice husky.
"Maybe," you blushed.
He chuckled, leaning down and taking one of your breasts into his mouth. You let out a soft moan as he licked and sucked your nipple, his hands kneading your breast. You ran your hands through his hair, pulling him closer, needing more.
He pulled back and smiled down at you, then began to undo his cravat. You watched him eagerly, biting your lip as he pulled it off and began unbuttoning his shirt. You reached out and helped him, your hands brushing against his toned chest.
He smiled and took your hand, pressing his lips to the inside of your wrist. "I've dreamt of this moment for so long," he murmured.
He reached out and pulled your dress up over your head, leaving you in just your panties and stockings. His gaze was filled with desire as he looked down at you.
You felt confident under his gaze, he made you feel beautiful. He leaned down and kissed you again, his fingers running up your thighs, playfully pulling on your stocking and letting it snap back into place. You giggled at his teasing.
He smiled against your lips and tugged your panties off. His eyes raked over your body, his gaze filled with desire.
You reached out and helped him remove the rest of his clothes, your heart racing.
He lowered himself down on the bed beside you and pulled you into his arms, kissing you softly. His hand lifted your thigh around his hips, and he ran his fingers along your thigh and between your legs, a groan escaping his throat at the feel of how wet you were for him. You blushed at his reaction and looked away, feeling shy all of a sudden.
"Are you nervous?" He asked, looking down at you, his gaze tender and warm.
"A little, you're the first vampire I've been with," you admitted.
He chuckled, a wide smile on his face. "I promise I won't bite," he whispered, a hint of humor in his voice.
You couldn't help but giggle.
You ran your hand up and down his chest, then slowly down to his hard length. You took his shaft in your hand and began to stroke him, a low groan escaping his lips.
Your eyes locked, his gaze filled with desire as he watched you pleasure him. You increased the pressure of your strokes, rubbing the tip of him in your hand.
"You feel nice," you whispered, your lips inches from his own.
He smiled and pulled you on top of him, your breasts against his chest as he kissed you deeply, his hands gripping your ass. You grinded on him slowly, the feel of his cock against your pussy making you gasp.
You sat up and slowly sank down onto him, the feel of him inside of you making your breath catch in your throat. He felt so good.
"You're perfect," he whispered as he reached up and ran his fingers through your hair, gently tugging you back down to him, kissing you deeply. You began to rock on top of him, the friction causing you to moan softly. He ran his hands over your back, groaning into your ear as you rode him, taking him deeper.
It was slow, hot and sticky, the two of you getting to know each other's bodies, exploring and teasing. Your orgasm slowly built, your moans becoming more and more intense. You felt his grip on you tighten, his breathing becoming ragged.
Your heart pounded against his as he gazed up at you, a smile on his lips. His hands gripped your hips and he took control, guiding your movements, rocking you back and forth. You gazed into each other's eyes, a silent understanding passing between the two of you. You felt a connection beyond lust or attraction, something deep and beautiful, and you knew he felt it too.
You rocked together, lost in one another, and you let yourself fall apart on top of him. Your body spasming, a long moan escaping your throat as your orgasm crashed into you, your muscles clenching around him.
He gazed up at you, his eyes filled with love and desire. "That's my girl," he whispered.
He gently rolled you on to your side, keeping your bodies connected. His fingers digging into your thigh as he held it against his hip, kissing and nuzzling your neck. He took you slowly, drawing out your pleasure as long as possible. His eyes never left yours, the love you felt for each other in that moment, palpable in the room.
Your fingers tangled into his hair, you tugged his head towards yours as you kissed him. He kissed you back, his movements becoming more frantic, his thrusts deep and rough.
His eyebrows arched upwards, the muscles in his neck and shoulders tensing. Your clung to his shoulders, moaning his name as he found his release deep inside of you. He held you close as he came down, the two of you a tangle of limbs and sweaty bodies.
He kept kissing you, soft and unhurried, his hand stroking your thigh, keeping you connected and still wrapped around him. You both caught your breath as you held each other close, neither wanting the moment to end.
"I've had a crush on you since the first day I saw you," you murmured into his ear, causing him to pull away and smile.
He leaned down and kissed your forehead, "And I, you."
He gently slipped out of you and pulled the sheets over your naked bodies, his arms encircling you in his embrace. You fell asleep in each other's arms, content and happy, dreaming of more nights just like this.

Secrets - Cairo Sweet
Cairo Sweet x Reader
Summary: Cairo comes to you after she has her first big heartbreak, but finds something other than comfort.
Warnings: (teeny) underage drinking, Cairo has a lot of mood swings, it eventually ends happy!
A/n: Not sure if I hate this but a cairo fic as promised! enjoy <3
When Cairo told you about her crush on Mr.Miller, you were (rightfully) disgusted. He was at least twice her age, a teacher, and wasnât even that hot.
You thought maybe it was something silly, a joke if you will, to humor you on a particularly boring school day.
But over the weeks, things changed. It was subtle, but not enough for your keen eye to miss. Something in Cairoâs eyes sparkled, a look youâve never seen from her before.
She would gush about him after class, and during she would stare at him, blatantly, open with her intentions. It was hard for you to watch.
But the worst thing? He stared back.
Weeks of weird sexual tension and seeing them outside of school, youâd grown more and more sick at the thought that this could be real.
Something people needed to know about Cairo was that she was a dreamer. She might seem realistic on the surface, but secretly, deep deep down, she yearned for that fantasy love she was always writing about.
You could kinda understand the appeal, you guess. An older man, a writer. Still, that didnât stop it from leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.
So when she came bursting through your door two weeks later sobbing, you hadnât known that you would realize there mightâve been something else holding you back from being so supportive of her actions.
The minute youâd opened the door she came rushing into your arms. You wrapped her up, rubbed her back as she calmed down.
âPlease donât cry.â You told her, in a way that Cairo felt wasnât ignorant but comforting. Like you cared so much about her if she cried it might tear your heart apart. The way you were looking at her in that moment, she couldnât help herself from wondering if maybe you did care for her as more than friends.
You were certainly the character. Her attractive, sweet, considerate friend. The complete opposite from Winnie. More reserved and a poet at heart. Really, sheâd never kissed a girl, but she definitely wouldnât have a problem kissing you.
Before she knows it, or before she can stop herself, sheâs tilting her face up and grabbing your hair towards her. The moment your lips touch itâs fire.
She catches the sight of your surprised face for a second before you close your eyes and surge forward, with more weight than she wouldâve expected. A weight thatâs not at all unwelcome.
The more the kiss escalates the more she feels like needs more. Itâs primal. The pure lust sheâs feeling.
Her hands tangle in your hair, yours in hers. She leans in to press her body against yours, desperately seeking more skin-on-skin contact.
You happily let her do so, mind foggy with lust and her and her and her.
âCairo.â You groan into her mouth, unbelieving that this is really happening.
She gives you no indication that she hears it, only takes that opportunity to slip her tongue in, breathing heavily.
It feels so good, and her scent fills your nostrils. The smell you love so much, something of a mix of pinewood and cinnamon.
But thereâs something else- a sour smell thatâs so strong it almost burns.
You realize all at once what it is. Alcohol. How you didnât notice it before on her breath was a wonder. Itâs enough to break you out of your trance.
âCairo.â You say, more forcefully this time, pulling away and pushing her down onto the side of your bed.
She whips her head around, confusion and hurt so clear on her face you feel yourself crumble a little.
âWhat?â She asks, eyes glazing over. Thereâs conviction in her tone. You know she gets like this, defensive, when she gets hurt. Your eyes widen at the realization of what you just did.
âOh- no,no,no. I didnât mean it like that.â You blubber, trying to fix things before she misunderstands. She stares at you hard, squinting slightly.
âYouâre drunk Cairo, you donât mean any of this.â You say, hoping sheâll come to her senses and agree with you.
Even though this is a dream come true, you donât want to ruin your friendship for one night of bliss. Not to mention sheâs drunk, a good deal so, and it would just leave you feeling dirty.
âIâm drunk but Iâm very much aware of what Iâm doing. What, you think just cuz iâm intoxicated Iâll fuck anyone?â She hisses, inching closer to you, menacing despite her small frame.
You gulp. âThatâs not what I said.â
It comes out in a weak mumble. Cairo rolls her eyes. Her annoyance fires up something in you, and this time you speak stronger.
âYou know thatâs not what I meant. Youâre drunk, I donât want to take advantage of you. Even if you want to now, how am I gonna know you wonât regret it later?â You say, watching as Cairo gets so close to you that youâre face to face.
âIâm not going to regret it.â She slurs, wrapping a hand around your neck and pulling.
You resist, but she doesnât care. Her grip tightens until sheâs pulling slightly at your hair. You tell her to stop once but it falls on deaf ears.
âCairo Iâm serious. Youâre hurting me.â You plead again, and the voice crack that leaves your lips seem to be the thing that brings her back to life. She blinks once, twice, the brown returning back to her doe eyes slowly but surely.
She retracts, pulling her hands back and looking embarrassed.
âIâm sorry.â She says, bottom lip quivering. You stay silent, unsure of what to do.
âY/n Iâm really sorry.â She says again, eyes sorrowful.
The mood swings on this girl, you secretly think.
You take her hand in yours, and look into her eyes. You know sheâs telling the truth, you know all her tells. The slight quiver of her eyebrow, the way she plays with the nape of her neck. She means her apology.
You sigh tiredly.
âItâs okay, really. Letâs just talk about this later when youâre sober, alright?â You suggest gently, watching her nod her head carefully.
âHow about you sleep on my bed today hm? Iâll sleep on the floor. I donât want you going home in this state.â You prod, and when she agrees, you move her, softly like youâre handling something that might break at any moment. You settle her onto your bed and under the covers.
âY/n?â She calls out when youâre fluffing your extra pillows to prepare for your bed on the floor, voice already sounding sleepy. You hum in response.
âWill you sleep next to me? I promise I wonât pull anything again.â And the way she says it, you know you could never be able to deny.
You wordlessly slip in beside her, suddenly rigid with nerves. The feelings you were feeling when she first came in were returning. Could it be that you liked Cairo?
The quiet atmosphere doesnât help with your swimming thoughts. You donât think youâll be able to sleep much next to her, you feel a little tingly all around.
A couple minutes pass by and when youâre sure youâve heard Cairo start snoring, you try and step out the covers, desperate for some relief of your wildly beating heart.
An arm drapes around your body before you can begin to move, and you peer over to see Cairo with half lidded eyes, sleepily telling you not to go.
You had no choice now- how were you to leave? It was like waking up an adorable animal that fell asleep on you.
You scoot your body closer to her so she doesnât have to reach for you so much, and try to relax.
Not five minutes go by before Cairo pokes your cheek and speaks again, amusement in her tone.
âYour heart is beating very fast.â

i'm fully willing to accept that sokka's weird "play hard to get" advice in "the fortuneteller" was just the writers (rightfully) making fun of that type of dating advice however there's a part of me that's still like. HOW did sokka come up with that. there were no girls his age in his village besides his sister so presumably he's only had 1 single romantic encounter (suki) by that point and that very much did not involve him being aloof and uninterested. yes he's lying to aang about being romantically experienced and probably pulling it out of his ass but why is that what he comes up with.
after pondering, i think there's a few possibilities:
hakoda. now, i don't think it's romantic advice hakoda would give. he's a friendly guy and presumably pulled kya just by being, y'know, sweet and funny and hot. however i CAN see him saying it as a joke. like he says something goofy and kya rolls her eyes fondly like "why did i marry you" and he's like "definitely my cool unattainable mysterious appeal" and they both crack up because he was actually adorably down bad. only thing is, baby sokka does not know that and takes the joke at face value. that's how dad said he got mom! but dad was joking. dad actually tripped over himself and fell face first into the snow when she smiled at him
some older kid in the tribe. there are no girls sokka's age in his village but i have to imagine there are other villages in the tribe, we just don't see them bc after the raid the villages got more isolated and more mobile (tents over igloos) to avoid detection by the fire nation. so baby sokka had a baby crush on a girl from another village and an slightly older boy (someone who would later be just old enough to go to war with the men and leave sokka as the oldest boy in the village) tried to give him Sage Advice. but sokka was 10 and the kid was 14 so it was Bad Advice
bato. this is the funniest option to me bc "play hard to get" is such childish advice for a grown adult to give. but it kinda fits with the whole bakoda storyline of bato quietly pining for hakoda for years. worked so hard at maintaining Maximum Aloofness that the guy he liked didn't realize it for decades
katara. okay actually maybe THIS is the funniest. she found out sokka had a crush on the girl from the other village and thinking her brother is gross and icky and no girl should have to deal with that she said hey. you know what girls like? when you pretend you're not interested :) baby katara is so cute and so full of mischief <3

omg wait , if possible could you do a tara x amber to tara x reader , soccer!au with like r and amber being on the soccer team together and competing against each other to make tara fall for one of them but tara chooses amber first but amber like ,, betrays her or cheats on her and thatâs when tara realizes she always loved r and they end up together
Sweep 'er off Her Feet
Tara Carpenter x female reader (Request)
Masterlist
Word count: 2.3k
Soccer has been your passion since you were a child, you spent hours chasing ball back then, hoping that maybe, just maybe, you could one day play at least for a school team. It wasnât that you werenât good, you definitely put in effort to get good, but the issue was Woodsboro, there just werenât enough girls interested in soccer in your primary and middle school.
So, when you started high school and realized there was an actual soccer team you jumped at the opportunity. Easily filling in any position that was empty at the moment. There was one position you exceled at more than the others though. Sweeper. You could play offensive as well, but there was something inherently appealing in the idea of defending your goal, being the last line of defense before the goalkeeper and the opposing team. Waiting and reacting, making sure your team didnât have to catch up to the other team, and could instead focus on taking the lead.
And you were damn good at it. And Woodsboro high school team quickly became one of the top high school teams in the local competitions. You had a mean combo. Youâd do your part as the sweeper, pass the ball forward to your teamâs striker, Amber Freeman, and she was one hell of a striker.
The two of you just pulled that combo off, winning another game just in the nick of time and you were celebrating, cheering with the students from your school that came to see you all.
âThat was amazing!â Tara exclaimed from the stands as you and Amber stopped near her.
âThe mastery of yours truly,â Amber bragged, being the one who scored the goal.
Tara laughed. âDonât take all the credit, Y/Nâs pass was great as well,â she remarked, winking at you as you grabbed a towel and began wiping the sweat off your face.
Amber rolled her eyes and jokingly smacked you on the shoulder. âYeah, yeah, hear that? Youâve got a fan,â she teased causing you to glare at her.
It wasnât a secret that you had a crush on Tara, but the thing was, Amber was also interested in her. âEasy there, Freeman, youâre turning green,â you shoved her back.
Amber scoffed and turned her attention to Tara. âI am really grateful you take notice of our sweeper. Itâs such a boring position I was worried no one would realize she was on the field,â she offered Tara a confident smirk.
âBoring?â well sure, it wasnât exactly the most exciting position, but it wasnât boring!
Tara lightly scratched her cheek and looked away, chuckling a bit uncomfortably.
âWait, really?â you had to ask her.
âA bit,â she held up her fingers and smiled apologetically, but the look in her eyes told you she was only teasing you. Actually teasing, without any harm meant by it, unlike Amber whose teasing always held at least a hint of malice within it.
You turned to the side dramatically. âThe betrayal!â you overreacted with raised fists and grinned when Tara laughed.
~X~
This dynamic continued, Tara would always be there on your matches, she would always cheer the loudest, and the three of you would always chat after the game ended. And you slowly got closer, your friend groups merging and eventually it wasnât just chats after the matches. It was study sleepovers, hanging out, going to the movies together.
Tara was important to you, so important you feared telling her about your crush on her would ruin your friendship in some way, so you remained silent.
You should have spoken up.
~X~
Tara, after finishing her last classes headed toward the soccer field where you had your practice before another big game. She watched you, practicing your long passes, each time sending the ball with incredible precision. It was no wonder Amber had an easy time, you would pass the ball to her on the perfect spot to make the path to the goal as easy as possible.
And then there was Amber, the polar opposite of you, just passing time on the field. That was the thing with Amber, she was pure talent, monstrously talented, she barely practiced. And there was a time she thought you were the same, but as she got to know the two of you she learnt you spent hours practicing, simply out of your love for soccer, and so you were arguably a much better soccer player than Amber, your position just wasnât as prominent. Tara admired you for that, for the constant effort and dedication.
âHey, Tara,â Amber saw her and came up to her, that charming, a bit seductive smile on her face.
âAmber, hi,â Tara replied, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear and smiling at the black-haired girl. She had a bit of a crush on Amber, and she was glad whenever she got to have a proper conversation.
âYou know, thereâs a party at one of my teammatesâ place tomorrow night, I was wondering if youâd like to come as my date?â Amber asked her directly, without a hint of doubt in her voice or posture. In Amberâs eyes the answer was obvious.
And Tara had to agree, the answer really was obvious. âOf course, Iâd love to go with you,â she replied, blushing as Amber pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the lips, thought she quickly kissed the team striker back.
~X~
A month later you still occasionally sulked that Amber ended up asking Tara out. But, you refused to show it in front of Tara, the two of you still hung out, you still spent enough time together due to hanging out in the same group. And much like with anything else in her life, Amber remained assertive, feeling the need to show that Tara was her girlfriend.
Who did Amber think you were? Someone who would wreck a relationship?
Hell no!
And Tara looked fairly happy with Amber, so you definitely werenât going to interfere in any way.
You could still sulk though. So, here you were, at a party after winning local tournament. It was loud, there was some alcohol, though you really never found appeal in it. So even though plenty of people around you drunk you went for a coca cola instead.
âYou know, if you wanted to get the girl, your position really doesnât make you instantly noticeable. No one notices defenders until they either fuck it up, or really create a miracle,â Liv, one of your teammates, pointed out.
You rolled your eyes at that and took a sip of your drink. âYeah, well, being a sweeper has grown on me, I donât feel like switching just yet.â
But before Amber could reply both of you saw Tara rushing outside.
âWas Tara crying?â Liv asked as you jumped to your feet.
âShe was,â you ran after Tara, worried about what could have happened to cause such a reaction from usually composed girl.
~X~ About ten minutes earlier ~X~
She thought her relationship with Amber was going strong, she thought Amber liked her, wanted to have a steady relationship with her. She didnât think Amber would leave her alone during a party she wasnât really feeling like coming to anyway. Yes, your team won the competition, but Tara had a test tomorrow and she didnât feel like spending the night in a loud, smoke and alcohol filled place.
She was looking for Amber all over the huge house, hoping to find her and let her know she was leaving. She did not think she would see Amber in a bed, naked, riding a guy that looked several years older than her.
âAmber?â she managed to say the girlâs name, stopping her movements for a few moments. But instead of stopping, or looking ashamed Amber just continued on, aware that Tara was there and Tara felt sick.
She ran out of the room and slammed the doors closed behind her. She leaned against the wall, her eyes wide and her breathing so rapid she had to use her inhaler to calm down. Yet the tears still fell down her cheeks. A part of her hoped Amber would come out, explain herself, but deep down Tara knew two things. First that no matter what Amber said it wouldnât change the fact that she chose to cheat on Tara, and the second that, as much as it hurt to admit it, Tara understood Amber wouldnât be coming out, and so she ran down the stairs, still crying and only wishing to leave the damn party.
She ran outside, the air suddenly feeling rather cold. âTara!â she heard your voice and stopped. You must have seen her crying, or at least rushing to leave, and you got worried. You got worried and Amber cheated on her, how ridiculous was this situation? She wiped her tears, but they kept falling as you caught up with her and placed a hand on her shoulder. âHey, what happened? Should I get Amber?â you asked, because of course you would. Why wouldnât you assume that Amber and Tara were still fine, and that Amber would be able to fix this.
Tara shook her head and without thinking about it she just blurted out what she saw. âI saw her cheating on me,â she sobbed, watching as you went from concerned to shocked, to angry and then you turned around, seething and heading toward the house and somehow Tara realized you were likely going to go in and confront Amber about her affair.
Or was Tara the affair? How long did that last? Tara would probably never know.
âY/N, wait!â she cried out, going after you and grabbing your forearm. You stopped, but you still looked toward the front doors, still ready to get into a fight. âItâs not worth it,â she told you softly.
âBut thanks, it means a lot,â she managed a small smile.
âItâs worth it to me,â you argued, but you finally turned around and for a moment raised your hands toward Tara, as if to hug her, but you dropped them. Unsure if that was what Tara wanted when that was exactly what she needed, just to be held and comforted for a moment. So, seeing the initial intention, Tara just stepped forward and hugged you, letting the tears flow freely as you hugged her. âYouâll find someone better,â you assured her while rubbing circles on her back.
âThat was my first relationship,â Tara confessed, and she liked Amber. She didnât think her first relationship would be the one she stays in for the rest of her life, but she didnât think it would end like this.
âNext one will be better,â your words did little to make her pain lesser, but she did find some comfort in them, in the thoughts of future. And what your words failed to do your presence and touch accomplished.
~X~
About a month and a half later you found yourself in front of Taraâs house, gathering courage to finally confess your feelings, or at the very least ask her out. A lot has happened since that night, mainly you and Amber still having a falling out, and it was damn lucky that you were done with high school, because soccer would be awful if you had to keep playing together.
Tara moved on, it took a bit of a time and a hell of a lot of support from you and the rest of your friends, but she moved on. You just hoped she didnât decide soccer players in general were no longer a plausible option for her.
Just as you thought that Tara opened her front doors and hugged you. âHey there, sweeper,â she teased you as the two of you pulled away.
âHey there, cheerleader,â you teased back as she let you inside her house and led her to her room. You had a movie night planned and you were just a bit early, as usual. Tara wasnât a cheerleader, hell, you didnât have cheerleaders, but Liv once joked that since Tara cheered the loudest, she was the leader in cheering, hence, a cheerleader. âWhat are we watching tonight?â you asked.
âNo idea. Mindy is choosing, so probably a horror,â Tara told you. You were sitting at her table and watching curiously as she circled around you and hugged you from behind. âMaybe I should hold your hand, since you canât handle horror,â she suggested only half joking.
âSure. Though Iâd like it if you held my hand more often than that,â you blurted out, much more confidently than you thought you would.
Taraâs eyes widened as she looked at you. âY/N?â you swore there was a hint of hopefulness in her eyes.
âWould you go out with me?â you asked softly, a bit worried about her response and making things awkward, but fine with whatever she decides.
âYeah, Iâd love that,â she hugged you tighter and leaned in, kissing you gently. âI thought youâd never ask, and I would have to ask you out instead tonight,â she teased as you grinned like a fool.
âAnd why didnât you ask me out?â you nudged her, twisting in your seat so you could hug her back.
Tara adorably tapped her chin with her finger and looked toward the ceiling. âI guess I was too scared it might ruin our friendship,â she admitted, and you laughed.
âSame! I didnât think you would like me back!â you confessed, feeling much lighter now.
Her eyes shone brightly, she looked happy, happier than sheâs been in a long time. âI guess you swept me off my feet, my sweeper,â she laughed, kissing you once more. And you couldnât remember the last time you were this happy.

The First Meeting
Y/n was walking down a street flooded by shops all around her with her best friend, A'lidyah. The two women were in deep conversation about love. Y/n was almost sure she would never comfortably be in love again and A'lidyah was telling her that love comes to you when you least expect it.
"You shouldn't fully mark it off because of a few mishaps. And love comes in so many different forms and can be found in so many different aspects of life." A'lidyah explained while moving her hands to emphasize her point.
"You know what, you're right. I love seeing the smiles of the people who walk the streets, I love skipping through town hand in hand, and I love music. I'm so grateful to have you in my life, like seriously." Y/n said smiling at her friend sincerely. A'lidyah returned the smile saying something along the lines of "life would be so dull without you, i thank God for you everyday." The conversation then resumed, the two girls having smiles seemingly permanently edged on to their faces.
While Y/n was speaking she momentarily shifted her eyes to glance at something on the side of the street that A'lidyah stood on and in that quick second she had walked into someone. He managed to catch her by her waist before she had fallen and she immediately began apologizing before looking up at the man.
As Y/n shifted to meet the gaze of her saving grace, she found she was met with a face that displayed the thoughts crossing her mind at the moment. Wide eyes and mouth agape, the man must've been experiencing the shock that circled her mind at the moment. She only broke through this trance at the sound of a witch like cackling that could come from no one other than A'lidyah. Y/n raised her eyebrow and side eyed her best friend with a smile on her face before turning her attention back on to the man who stood in front of her.
They exchanged eye contact one last time before his hold on her waist loosened and Y/n stepped back and bent down to pick up the things that fell on the floor. Oscar soon joined her and then apologized for almost knocking her over.
"Ah, no worries it was mostly my fault and I was able to be saved by a handsome man so I'd say we're pretty even?" Y/n responded cheekily.
"A handsome man? And then you a beautiful woman? Almost seems like a match made in heaven, wouldn't cha say?" The man said while his face was very clearly flushed and he looked like he had to muster up all his confidence and self-control to not stutter. His pupils then went off to the side catching another woman in his line of sight. Seeing that the man had directed his attention to her A'lidyah began to speak.
"That's actually perfect, Y/n needs someone other than me to add a little bit of pizazz and all that fun stuff to her life, mind giving her a name?" A'lidyah says holding back a teasing smile. "Oh that's my bad. The names Oscar, Oscar Piastri. It's nice to meet you Y/n and..."
"Oh I'm A'lidyah! Her wife, her wingman, her manager, and most importantly her best friend. Oscar meet Y/n, Y/n meet Oscar!" The girl says enthusiastically. The two laugh but greet each other anyway.
They exchanged numbers and that day when Y/n went home she found the idea of love just a bit more appealing and Oscar... well let's just say his google history was flooded with many "Do I Have a Crush?" quizzes, a lot more "How to Know if Your in Love" blogs, and one slightly embarrassing question that his friends would definitely tease him about, not that they wouldn't tease him about what he had already been searching up anyway.
Y/n is now following Oscar Piastri
Oscar Piastri is now following Y/n

Will You Be Mine?
Y/n was very excited for her date with the one and only Oscar Piastri, not like she hadn't gone on many with him before but he had said he had something very special planned which "fit her persona well", his words not hers. She was very suspicious seeing as basically all their dates filled her with joy and excitement, high standards to exceed, if she did say so herself.
She had gotten her nails painted prior to the date and had made sure her hair looked nice. She had also put on a pretty dress but not before playing dress up and have a whole fashion show in her room with A'lidyah. Her whole hype crew in one person, she was so blessed. While doing touch ups she heard the doorbell ring and practically flew downstairs to go and open the door.
Oscar stared down at her, his face leading her to think he was in a trance or something of the sort. Y/n loved the effect she had on him. She did a little twirl to show him the full fit knowing it would fluster him even more.
"Am I pretty enough for the occasion, Mr. Piastri?" Y/n said chuckling softly before leaving a mannequin like Oscar standing at the door in awe as she went to go grab her purse and let A'lidyah know it was time for her to go. She came back down and Oscar swore she looked like an angel descending from the heavens.
"Well, I'm waiting on an answer?"
"You are absolutely stunning, beyond pretty enough for the occasion, although those are definitely everyday qualities of yours."
"What a sweetheart!" Y/n said, once again teasing the man and taking pleasure in the blush that spread across his face, as she closed the door to the apartment and took Oscar's outstretched hand. As they made it to the car he opened the door for her and allowed her to enter before going around the car and getting in himself.
"Ouhh my favorite song is playing, did you orchestrate this or is the universe just working overtime?" The girl spoke softly in a joking manner.
"A magician can't reveal all his tricks." Oscar said jokingly before smiling softly at the girl in the passenger seat and taking in the joy that radiated from her being. They drove with soft music in the background and just the amazing scenery to guide them through the city. Once they got to the destination, which seemed like a garden of some sort, Oscar practically ran over to her side of the car. Once he had opened the door for her he covered her eyes with his hands.
"Oscar, your coordination better be on point because if I trip your days will be numbered." she said seriously with a hint of humor in her voice.
"Wouldn't be the first time you've fallen for me, now would it love?" Oscar teased as he walked her over to the romantic picnic spot he had set up for her.
"Girl, you know what... just don't be surprised when I jump you." Y/n said playfully. They then came to a stop and and Oscar uncovered her eyes allowing her to see the scene that he had put together. When Y/n saw the sign that said "Will You Be Mine?" her heart felt as though it would jump out of her chest. When she turned to face Oscar he got down on one knee and began to speak before she could say anything.
"From the moment I met you I knew that we would be inevitable. You're intricate but gorgeous hairstyles, your dough like eyes, and your beautiful aura had put me in an immediate trance and I remember thinking 'woah'. My friends once told me that when I looked at you it seemed as though stars had been placed in my eyes purposely as if to gaze upon you meant my pupils had seen an unknown galaxy deeply treasured by the cosmos. So, will you allow me a place in your heart in which I beg to stay for an eternity."
Y/n immediately broke down crying before saying yes a million times and jumping into Oscar's warm embrace.
"I will do my best to treasure your heart." Y/n said before pulling Oscar in for a kiss.
That night the stars danced above them as though rejoicing.
â« Know life been lifin' lately, so I save you if you save me â«

"I love you- NOT~!!" (PART 1)
childhood bestfriend/crush katsuki bakugo x hopeless romantic reader
synopsis: Love is so addictive. You know, even when you've never really felt it. The feeling of being in love is even worse when your counterpart doesn't reciprocate.
tw: female reader, cursing, angst, heartbreak, bakugo being oblivious/a little insensitive, crying, reader relying on herself
author's notes: REPOST; BUT GET EXCITEDD CUZ PART 2 IS GETTING POSTED SOON!! I'm so sorry this has taken me so long. Writing block + workload + no romance = absolute sadness. UGH! NEW YEAR, NEW ME!! Happy 2024, Darlings!
wrd count: 800+ not edited!
Katsuki Bakugo and you go way back. It all started in grade school when you first caught sight of the brooding child, Bakugo.
You were supposed to focus on learning how to add and subtract fractions, but instead, your attention drifted to the boy sitting next to you. Your desk mate was laser focused on the lesson as his garnet red eyes seemed to bore into the teacher's. It gave you the perfect opportunity to judge this potential friend. He had wild blonde hair that somehow looked neat, framing his chubby cheeks. He had a button nose, cute. You concluded that your desk buddy was adorable, and he would be an excellent first friend. Oh, if only you knew.
From an adorable childhood in the suburbs, to an awkward and moody middle school period, and then a slight reflection in high school, Katsuki Bakugo had changed alongside you. You saw Bakugo go from his messy blonde locks, to spikes. He saw you change from an awkward bangs stage to a more defined hair part. Your friendship bloomed as the two of you were able to confide in one another as the years passed. Bakugo got sassier, and you shot back the same attitude. You differed when it came to feelings. That became abundantly clear when puberty and dating became a middle school topic. Bakugo used to talk to you about how girls were annoying and unbearable. He said he never would understand the appeal of dating. You dumbly nodded along, as if your heart wasn't hammering in your chest every time Bakugo Katsuki was in the vicinity. It was like your heart was a professional Bakugo tracker. Perhaps that's when you should have realized that you were in too deep.
All the same, high school left you high and dry. U.A was a challenge in and of itself, but adding rocky childhood feelings wasn't exactly ideal. Especially when Bakugo began to realize that he was a little more interested in relationships as he got older. You remember one instance as clear as day...
"Hey, Y/n, I'm waiting for someone, don't fucking wait up," Bakugo muttered. He didn't make direct eye contact with you. You swear you could make out the faintest pink blush on his cheeks.
"Oh? You got a special someone finally?" Y/n laughed. You hoped your tone sounded teasing and not sour. You wondered if Bakugo would ever realize how your lip wobbles or how you fidgets anxiously with your shirt whenever he talked about relationships. He was so observant unless it came to feelings.
"You could say that. I'm going out with Mina, one on one." Bakugo always did this when he was nervous. His answers became more brief and he seemed more guarded.
"Listen, big guy, you got this. I'm sure Mina and you will have a blast. I don't know, give her some Katsuki charm~!" You winked while pointing finger guns at him.
"Piss off!" Bakugo rolled his eyes, but you know you saw a slight smile right before. Your silliness worked as his hands relaxed from balled fists. Suddenly, his eyes seemed to dart to the approaching pink figure. Katsuki exhaled loudly, as if trying to ground himself.
You turn around and watch Mina with him. You understand why Bakugo was interested in her; she was fierce, outgoing, bubbly, easy on the eyes, and you assumed her curves helped. Whatever the reason, when you looked at Bakugo again, his eyes seemed to shine in a way he never could with you. His perfect pink lips parted slightly like he was in a trance by her.
"I wonder if I'll ever have that effect on a guy," you mumbled quietly. You didn't mean to let it slip out, but judging by Bakugo's zombie state, you doubt he's even listening to you.
"What did you say?" Bakugo asked, still not looking back at you.
"Nothing, have a good date." With that, you left Bakugo to head back to your dorm, by yourself, for the first time in a year. As you walked, you wondered if he ever knew you like you patiently grew to know him. You knew he had a mole on the left side of his growing adam's apple; you knew his top twenty hero list by heart; and most importantly, you knew exactly when Bakugo first fell in love with a real girl. At the very moment and forever more, Ashido Mina was the first girl Bakugo truly had a crush on.
You're not sure when your cheeks got damp, but you noticed you were crying when your nose was runny. Unlike the past, Bakugo would always be there to call you 'stupid' and wipe away your tears with his callous hands. Now, you sat alone in your dorm room, sobbing in one of his old t-shirts. You had this since you were in grade seven. Bakugo grown quickly, but his All-Might t-shirt was one of the first ever gifts he gave you himself.
Even thinking about him now hurts your head. To think someone who caused you so much grief, could still be the one you cherished most.

This panel stuck out to me when it showed up in TriMax Chapter 3, but honestly, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it at the time. Or, rather, I wasn't sure where Nightow might be going with it.
Meryl is trying to defend her time with Vash as not being a that bad, but then her coworker (amazingly named Karen) calls her out, telling her that, as a woman, there's no way Meryl could have been happy having her life constantly threatened while running around with Vash.
My first instinct is to defend Meryl, to shoot back at Karen that what defines Karen's life may not define Meryl's, and Meryl might be the more adventurous type who genuinely doesn't mind the danger. And besides, having one's life constantly under threat is psychologically wearing on anyone regardless of gender. So shouldn't she just shut her yap?
But then these words come up again later in the chapter. For (what I think is) the first time in the series, Meryl finds herself with an actual loaded gun leveled directly at her head by a person who fully intends to pull the trigger. She has no known help in sight, and the gunman calling her foolish makes her remember what Karen said.
And Meryl just... closes her eyes, and she thinks about all the danger she's been in with everyone from Gosef to E.G. Mine. She thinks about the Fifth Moon Incident. And she thinks about Vash.
But she doesn't think of gunman Vash. She doesn't think of Vash in a panic telling her to run away from danger, of Vash fleeing for his life over and over and over again.
She thinks of him smiling.
Not only is he smiling, but compared to the darkness and chaos of the other panels, he's a beacon of light in those memories. (You can almost hear the tense, dark music that's been flowing through the scene break into something lighter at his appearance.) And that image of him smiling kindly, still striving for love and peace, grows to dominate her mindscape.
It would be easy to write this off as her growing crush on Vash, or as her seeing him telling her that it's alright and dealing with things like being hunted and having your life regularly threatened aren't actually that bad, that perhaps these things appeal to a sense of adventure and/or what makes life worth living. After all, we've seen similar messages come up in similar fashions in so many other anime and manga series.
But that's not what Meryl concludes from it. Instead, she thinks about Vash's smiling face and concludes her coworker is right. There isn't a way for she, Meryl, to truly be happy when she's constantly getting thrown into these situations.
Her conclusion doesn't end there, though. She doesn't look at the situation and go, "Well, I guess it's time for me, a girl, to throw in the towel so I can pursue a happier existence."
Instead, she concludes that she has to keep doing this sort of thing anyway regardless of any danger or fulfillment.
She realizes that what she dealt with for the time she followed Vash around was crazy and terrifying and, yes, life-threatening. And she realizes that this is how Vash lives all the time. Unlike her, it's not something he has the option to just tap out of when the mood suits. As we were shown in the previous two chapters, Vash genuinely can't just make a new life or career choice or whatever and just... hunt for his own happiness instead. Chaos is going to follow him unbidden wherever he goes.
But he keeps going. And he doesn't just keep going, but through it all he keeps smiling kindly at others, offers them encouragement, and despite all he's seen and been through, keeps trying harder to work for a world with more love and peace. Not because it's safe or happy or appeals to a sense of adventure. It's none of those things. He continues on this path because it's the right thing to do.
Meryl realizes the same thing is true for her. Accepting another assignment from the company to follow Vash around isn't going to bring her the kind of life Karen suggested was ideal. In fact, it's more likely that following in Vash's footsteps (whether figuratively or literally) is going to end up with Meryl in additional stressful situations with her life on the line far more than is truly reasonable for anyone (regardless of gender). It isn't necessarily going to bring her happiness. It certainly isn't going to bring her peace.
But it's the right thing to do, which makes it the only path forward for her, and so she'll embrace it despite all the struggles it brings.

saints! penny for your thoughts on evan(s) đ
i didnât see the appeal of them but it took one (1) hockey au and now they own me. yapping under cut
the fundamental axis on which evans(s) revolves is how evan rosier initially comes across as strange, and lonely, and prodigiously talented, and a little sadâ perhaps in exactly the way that a young severus might have, when lily first decided she wanted to befriend him. except unlike severus, THIS boy is golden-headed and ridiculously gorgeous and has the most startling amber eyes. and he ACTUALLY doesnât need other people, or her approval, the way that severus only pretends not to.
i think lily blinds herself to evan's darker, more unsettling aspects and finds herself wanting his approval. the idea of a dedicated, independent genius who only cares about his field of study (be it medicine, or potions, or whatever) and lets nothing ruffle him ever is HIGHLY appealing & aspirational to lily <- this isnt necessarily an accurate picture of evan but its how she initially sees him
it's the teeny crush that people headcanon a younger lily as having on remus but this time more serious & as an adult. lily likes how carefully he folds his napkins. she likes that heâs a hypochondriac who carries around alcohol wipes & wrinkles his nose & doesnât say anything unless he absolutely NEEDS to. she likes how meticulously he micromanages his schedule.
but also she DISLIKES his iciness and the way he views other people. she dislikes how genuinely impossible it is to become close to him. he is such a belligerent autistic freak that he can't find it in himself to even slightly modulate his tone to sound less dead when talking to her. except lily takes this as a Challenge, and the only person on earth wholly charming enough to throw evan off his axis is the Perfect Girl Who Everyone Has Had A Crush On Throughout Her Entire Life.
it's the guy who likes to play God & the girl who has essentially lived her life as God's Favorite Angel. and evan thinks she's the most fascinating, inexplicable outlier of a thing that he finds himself continuously showing these silent little gestures of affection & contrition that TOTALLY throw him off his axis. yes, she can sit beside me. yes, iâm slipping my hand into hers (what is happening to me???)
idk i tend to see them as one of those unlikely duos that eats lunch on the stairwell together when they don't have anybody else. they would fall extremely quickly into friendship and instigate several private personality crises in each other that do NOT stop them from sending very corporate texts at each other ("Hello" "Hello - Are you well?" "I am well - How about you?") that they're both furiously blushing over in the privacy of their rooms. and they would talk the craziest shit about other people together.
anyway everyone please ask me about olympics au forever
#a#olympics au#<- WEâRE SO FUCKING BACK#beth im so obsessed with your evan thoughts. you have been doing such revolutionary work over there#foursaints art tag#Evan(s)#lilyrosekiller

This insane steddie au ft. Chrissy because I LOVE season 3 steddie aus and I will eat them all up istg
Yes this was deleted and I had to rewrite it.
Damn. Another strike out.
He had been on a roll, he'd gotten three girls phone numbers and his hair hasn't moved an inch.
The last couple of hours however, have been humiliating.
Eddie's cackles still haunt him along with the squeak of the marker on the white board.
"You suck Harrington!"
"Yeah, yeah, just...go back to work you're not even supposed to cover the front."
He'd worked with Eddie for a month now. He still hasn't gotten a chance to have a decent conversation with him. Management decided someone like Eddie was better kept behind the counter, not visible to the public. This didn't leave a lot of time for Steve to start a game of twenty questions.
Steve is leaning on his palm, elbow on the counter. He's bored and keeping blowing a piece of hair out of his eye. He catches a glimmer blonde in the corner of his eye and quickly stands.
He makes direct eye contact with Chrissy Cunningham standing nervously in front of him, wringing her hands together.
This was gonna be easy.
"Hi Steve," she waves.
He narrows his eyes at her flirtatiously.
"Hi Chrissy. Here for something specific?"
He folds his arms across his chest in a way he knows shows off his muscles.
"It's, a- kind of complicated."
"Really?" He leans a little over the counter. "Anything I can help you with?"
Chrissy freezes up immediately.
Shit.
She looks nauseous.
"Is Eddie here?"
"Is Eddie- what."
The man himself push Steve to the side. He puts his head in his palm and his elbow on the counter.
"Hi sweetheart," he purrs.
Chrissy giggles.
"Hi Eddie."
"What can I do for you? Here for help with your little bird?"
"Eddie!" Chrissy punches Eddie's shoulder and gives Steve a side eye.
Eddie turns and glares at Steve.
"Excuse us your majesty but this is a private matter."
Steve can't even bring up that they're the ones that are taking up the public space. He's in too much shock. He heads to the backroom but sticks his head out just watching them.
He can't believe it! Chrissy Cunningham asking for Eddie?! His Eddie?! His...platonic coworker Eddie?!
What does she like about him? It's gotta be the hair. His dark curly hair that you could wrap your fingers in. Oh! His long guitarist fingers. Probably lined with callouses that feel so good when they rub your skin just right.
He probably plays her his shitty music that he plays for Steve in the backroom. He probably saves her extra scoops like he does for Steve. She probably enjoys looking at his eyes like Steve does. Eddie's eyes shine like amber in the light. So loud and expressive. Steve has a rock he likes to look at that reminds him of Eddie's eyes.
Eddie laughs a good hardy laugh. It's distracting.
Steve's never been able to make Eddie laugh. Eddie's only laughs at Steve.
God he wants him to look at him like that.
What.
You know what...
...
Steve sees the appeal.
---
Yes! Eddie is helping chrissy through a gay crisis. They simply had that talk in the woods a year earlier and decided they were perfect best friends.
Yes! Robin hasn't started working at scoops yet but Eddie convinces her to get the job just so he can wingman chrissy
Yes! Steve freaked out for about five seconds and then was completely fine with his crush on eddie
Steve also apologizes to Chrissy if he ever freaked her out and offers her a firm handshake to start off their friendship which chrissy happily takes.
Robin and Chrissy team up to get Steve and Eddie together
Platonic stobin all the way of course!
Yes this is shorter because I guess I deleted it the first time and rewrote it from memory.

hellooo!
could you write ellie and reader? Ellie always had all the sorority girls hot on her heels until she met the reader, who was hot and interesting but tough and challenging and didn't seem to fall for Ellie's flirtations so easily and it frustrated her. imagine they were at a sorority party and the reader decides to indulge in ellie but first teases her a bit (with a short dress sitting on her lap talking close to ellie's lips but never letting ellie touch her and when ellie tried to kiss her the girl turns her face away) could this end with Ellie being a little mean as she fucks the reader in the backseat of the car?
thank you đźâđš
my heart skipped a beat reading this so yk i had to do it
cw: 18+ minors dni!, drugs, alcohol, mean ellie, strap-on usage
youâd heard around about ellie from your friends. about how sheâs so hot, that theyâd wish sheâd ask them out. youâd never really seen the appeal. sure, she was attractive. but there wasnât anything to absolutely fawn over. (pls forgive me for even typing that sentence..) theyâd be all blushing cheeks and giggles, while youâd just sit on the couch, rolling your eyes in annoyance. how did they even have time for the mindless crushing when exams were coming up? you could barely think for yourself with all the information you were trying to shove in your brain. you just couldnât understand.
ellie definitely noticed how you were. you didnât act like the other girls in your sorority, and you didnât even try to talk to her. she thought she had done something absentmindedly, maybe someone told you something about her? either way, she planned on figuring it out. though, her efforts werenât recognized by you. she tried to get closer to you, strike up conversation, even joke with you. but every time you just gave her a bland answer and then left abruptly, leaving her cradling her pride while wondering why you didnât have any interest in her. she definitely tried flirting, but you just brushed it off, acting like you didnât understand that was what she was doing. even going as far as addressing the fact you were both friends, in a sickly sweet voice. she just rolled her eyes, giving up for the night.
after weeks of pining from ellie and still no results from you, your sorority had planned a party. whatâs been happening with ellie had definitely wounded some of your relationships with your friends, passive aggressive jealousy being the result of how ellie had been acting. you thought maybe this could mend your relationships, but you thought wrong. of course, they invited the one person whoâd started all the drama. ellie williams herself.
sheâd been proud of herself managing to get an invitation for a party that was meant to be only sorority.. she felt special. and maybe a little bit like a douche. but mostly special. more than that, her heart fluttered in excitement at the thought youâd be there. maybe youâd give her a chance, finally? she swallowed her pride yet again as she got ready for the party, preparing to be rejected again. ellie didnât usually wear makeup, or dress up in that matter, but tonight she wanted to impress you. even though her version of âdressing upâ was just a blue short sleeved button up and some jeans with her converse, she felt herself shudder at the thought she was making such an effort for someone. she put on some mascara, but just enough so you couldnât tell. she honestly looked good. her lean arms were easily visible through the shirt, hair tied back in her signature half bun, the tattoo on her forearm only furthering how good she looked. sheâd have to pat herself on the back later. grabbing her keys and shoving some chapstick into the front pocket of her jeans, she jogged outside to her car, excited for what was to come.
you, on the other hand, were much less excited than ellie. tension was high, you felt it suffocating you. you hoped things would ease as the drinks started flowing and everyone started smoking. but that was probably wishful thinking. you decided to push the thoughts to the corner of your brain, focusing on what to wear. you scoured your closet, brows furrowed in thought as you looked everything over. you ultimately decided on wearing a short black dress. shorter than you remembered. it was long sleeved and hugged all of your curves just right. youâd hoped you werenât trying too hard. (if you wouldnât wear a tight dress, just imagine itâs a short flowy one!!) checking your makeup in your vanity for a moment, you rubbed at a spot that needed fixing before stepping back. you thought you looked pretty good. the dress came down to your middle thigh, the neckline plummeting down to show a bit of your breasts. you slipped on some small black heels, ones that wouldnât hurt your feet, and grabbed your bag. you stepped out, locking the door behind you. since the place was close, you decided to just walk there. though now you wished youâd brought a jacket. the cold wind stung your exposed legs, but you walked on, ready to be warm again at the party.
when you arrived, people were already drunk. and even though it was only supposed to be people of our sorority, some frat guys showed up and weâre making out with some of your friends on the couch. you gave them a questioning look before spotting ellie. she was on the couch, legs spread comfortably with a blunt in her hand. she clearly didnât plan on driving home tonight. you sighed, walking your way over to her. maybe you should give her a chance? people around you were already upset anyways. you sat down next to her, her half lidded and bloodshot eyes sliding over to your form. she smiled wide, clearly happy to see you.
âhey, babe. thought youâd never show up.â she grinned, taking another drag from her blunt before offering it to you. you accepted, taking it between two of your fingers until the tip burned bright red and the smoke began to burn in the back of your throat. you handed it back to her, breathing out and fanning at the air in front of you.
âwhy are you here, ellie?â she handed the blunt to you again, letting you take a drag before taking it back from your hands.
âcame to see you. duh.â she says, as if you shouldâve known that already. you probably shouldâve. you give her a grin, eyelids half closed already. you breathed in deep, leaning your head on her shoulder. she knew it was wrong, but when your dress rode up your thigh, showing just a little bit of the pretty panties you had put on, she couldnât help but look. she then turned, cradling you cheek with her hand and leaning in to gently kiss your lips. âthis alright?â she asks, locking eyes with you as she spoke. you nodded, doe eyes wide and bloodshot. she grinned, leaning in again and placing a hand at the top of your thigh, right where your dress ended. she gripped it, the plush fat giving way just a bit so her fingers made little indents in the flesh as she squeezed. she wanted to moan at the sight, pulling away from your lips. you both were breathing heavily. you had a confused look on your face, while she only looked cocky. she grabbed your hand, grabbing her keys off of the table next to the couch and slipping out of the house to her car.
âellie! you canât fucking drive highââ youâre cut off by her lips smashing into yours, the kiss stealing your breath and tinting your cheeks red. when she pulled away you were panting, looking at her with an annoyed glare. she only smiled, leading you to her car which was parked in the farthest part of the parking lot. she was definitely planning this.
âwe arenât driving.â she simply says, unlocking her car with the clicker before opening the back door and ushering you inside. you get in with a huff, hands behind you trying to hold your dress down. she slides in next to you, a hand resting on your thigh as she uses her clicker to lock all the doors. you both look at each other for a moment before lust gets the better of you both. youâre suddenly on each other, lips on lips and hands running up each others bodies. you could already see the windows fogging up. ellie ran her hand in between your thighs, her cold fingers making you whimper into her kiss. she just rubbed your thigh gently before pressing two fingers to your panties. right above your puffy clit. she began to rub gently, your hips bucking up into her hand as you tried to hold back your moans. fuck, you couldnât believe you were doing this. but you couldnât say you didnât like it. a lot. she pulled away suddenly, lips coming down to meet your neck. you sighed at the feeling, and she took this as a cue to begin sucking hickies onto your neck. you whimpered, hands coming up to grip her shoulders as you let her do as she pleases. once she was done she pulled away, looking at your puffy, spit covered lips and your red cheeks. god, she could get used to this.
âyou ever take a strap before baby?â she asks abruptly, your eyes widening at the question. you blinked a few times before shaking your head, not able to find your words in the already fucked our state you were in. âcmon, pretty girl. use your words.â she says, waiting with her eyes locked on yours. you open your mouth once but nothing comes out, the second time you manage to form words. ân-no. i havenât ever.â you looked to the side in shame at how you were acting. ellie only grinned, grabbing your cheeks in a way that made your lips smoosh together before kissing you.
âyâso fuckinâ cute. yâknow that?â she breathes, face so close to yours you could feel her breath. she let go, pulling your legs up and over her shoulders. you yelped at the suddenness, grabbing onto the headrest of the front seat to steady yourself. she ripped away your panties, eager and impatient. you didnât even mourn the loss of your panties, ready for some release already. she stared at your pussy for a moment and you started wondering if sheâd ever start. that was before she began practically making out with your pussy, eating you out like a madwoman. you let out a broken moan, a hand shooting down to tangle in her hair.
âellie! elsâ sâtoo much! soâ feels sâgood, fuck!â you ramble on, pleasure already taking hold of your brain. it just turned her on that much more you were already fucked out.
âyou can take it, baby. i know my good girl can take it. breathe, baby. breathe.â she coos, hand coming up to massage the skin on your hip. you take a deep breath, closing your eyes. she waits a moment before starting again. a bit slower but still with the same vigor as before. you moaned, hips bucking to meet her face as her nose bumped your clit in a way that had you seeing stars. you opened your eyes to look down at her. her eyes rolled back into her skull, closing at the taste of you. her brows were furrowed in concentration, freckled cheeks now dusted pink. her hands were wrapped around your thighs, pulling you impossibly closer. you moaned, a knot beginning to form in your stomach.
âels, gonna cum. please, can i cum?â you beg, eyes welling up with tears at the pleasure. you looked down at her with pleading eyes, feeling your high quickly approaching.
âcum, i got you.â she reassures, her middle and ring finger easing into your hole and beginning two scissor you open, furthering your pleasure. you let out one last moan before white hot pleasure hits you like a freight train, causing your eyes to roll back and your body to go rigid. ellie just continues through your high, before youâre twitching and squirming away from the overstimulation. she pulls away, licking her lips before grabbing a backpack that was hidden on the floor. you breathe heavily, knowing what was coming next. she unzips her jeans and shoves them off, her underwear going with them as she then reaches into the bag, pulling out a harness which she clipped around her waist. then, she pulled out her strap. it was purple silicone, about 8 inches long. you shuddered, already needy again as you shifted in your seat. she clipped the silicone onto the harness, looking down at your fucked out state. âweâre not done yet. ass up.â she demands, tone harsh. you immediately obey, knees pressing into the seats to push your ass up. you even go as far as to pull your dress up to your belly, giving her full access to your cunt. she hums in approval, a hand coming down to cup your asscheek as she prods at your pussy with the tip of her strap.
âyou ready baby? think you can take my strap?â you press your face to the seat, whimpering and wiggling your hips at her. she grinned, leaving a harsh slap on your ass. âjust for that, i ainât going easy on you.â she says, easing the tip into your pussy at a faster speed than you wouldâve liked. but the pain added to the pleasure, having you clench around the silicone and whine like a bitch in heat. ellie only laughed cruelly, a hand coming down to press against the base of your neck. âwhat? can my needy bitch not take it? few seconds ago you were practically begging for it.â she says, groaning as she bottomed out inside of you. she leans down, mouth so close to your ear you could feel her breathing. âdonât care if you canât take it, baby. iâll make you.â she hisses, a cruel grin still plastered on her face as she abruptly leans back. she places two hands on your hips before pulling back, starting a fast and harsh pace thrusting into you. your mouth fell open, tears in your eyes as she repeatedly hit your g-spot. you wanted to scream with pleasureâ it was just too much. you let out a loud moan, hearing her let out a broken one. the strap was rubbing her clit harshly at this pace, and she wasnât about to slow down any time soon.
âelsâ els sâtoo much mâgonna cumââ you try to warn, before your orgasm hits you so hard it has you seeing stars. your ears were ringing, eyes rolled back into your skull. the only thing that grounded you was ellieâs hand wrapping in your hair, somehow soothing despite the way she was fucking into you like a rabid animal. youâre pretty sure you even heard her growl as she fucked into you. the sound made your cunt clench harder than it already was, ellie clearly feeling it as she had to slow down.
âfuckâ loosen up babe. canât make you feel good like this.â she says, one of her rough hands resting on your ass, fingers circling as if to calm you down. you loosen up, and as soon as she feels less resistance, sheâs fucking into you again at the same harsh speed she was before. âgoddamn- tell me whoâs pussy this is. go on, fucking tell me slut.â her harsh words made you moan, tears spilling down your cheeks as you began to speak.
âitâs yours, els. mâall yours.â she leans down to peck your tear stained cheek, taking pride in how fucked out sheâd gotten you.
âthatâs right, slut. youâre mine.â she says, before fucking into you without abandon. you swore you saw stars, the silicone tip hitting your g-spot in a way that made you feel like you were floating. you began to babble incoherently, your approaching high completely frying your brain.
âplease ellie, need you so bad, mâyours please.â you whine, tears from the pleasure running down your face in big streams. she thrusts a few more times before youâre both thrown headfirst into your orgasms, the sound of moans and heavy breathing filling the car as she stilled inside of you, waiting for you both to come down from your highs. when you did, she quickly pulled her strap out, causing you to whine at how empty you felt. she only shushed you, unclipping the harness from her body and throwing both the strap and the harness in the floor. she quickly pulled you into her arms. your mascara had run down your face, lipstick smudged up your cheek. your nose was bright red from crying. she wiped away your tears with a sweet smile, pushing your face into her chest as she cradled your head with her hand. you wrapped your arms around her, nuzzling your face further into her chest. she didnât even care your makeup was probably getting all over her shirtâ youâd just given her the best fuck of her life.
âyou did so good baby. so good for me.â she coos, a hand carding through your hair. âletâs go back to your house, yeah? iâll make you breakfast.â she says, and you nod, face still buried in her chest. she only laughs, kissing the top of your head. âalright, get dressed then.â

At first I thought immediatly about ofc the Captain bc he is pretty and all, butbutbut reminind of me as a 10yo, I would find him pretty yes, but I would ABSOLUTELY GO FERAL over Hyrule and/or Four bc they were just my type, so I thought we could share this, me and her hihihihihi
So here's what I thought like, (Y/N) and Aryll talking about her little crush like a girls night (but the Reader dont really have to be a girl, is just for funsies!!) and Wind being all >:( maybe even a bit jealous that Aryll get to spend time alone with you hihihihihi
Just one thing!! If you end up wanting to do this idea, you can do it as a headcanons or a lil fic, whatever is better for you!!
I hope you have an amazing day darling!! You are amazing and I love everything you do hihihihihihi buh bay!!! đđđđđđ
I thought to do this as some little headcanons!! just to get myself back into the vibe of writing headcanons since it's been a little while <3
you're right though, she'd be the best to gossip with and have tea parties together - she's just a good little sister after all!!!
⊠gossiping with Aryll whenever youâre in winds time? Sheâs living for it, be it braiding her hair or showing her things youâve been collecting over your journey. You pick her up some shells from wildâs time? Yeah youâre her parent now, thatâs just how it works.Â
⊠so for her to see you as a perfect role model (much to her brother's envy) itâs only natural that sheâd see your partner in a similar light, after all if she wants to be like you then whoever you go for is who sheâd go for right? just a harmless puppy crush on them <3
⊠so expect plenty of moments where she's pulling you aside to ask for advice about relationships, and if you ever try to go on a date then it's not a rare thing to spot her in the distance watching the both of you.
⊠while she tries to keep it more subtle at the start out of embarrassment for crushing on the guy you're dating, asking little none specific questions. but eventually it grows to outright asking how the two of you got together and such.
⊠dating four? She asks how you handle how heâs usually at the forge and what if you like sitting there with him,Â
⊠Time? Sheâs asking what itâs like to be dating the hero of time (sheâs grown up hearing legends of him, of course sheâs going to be all over the chance to learn about him)
⊠Warriors - The pretty boy, the one who looks like the prince charming in all her books. No way is she NOT going to fawn over his handsome face.
⊠then hyrule? How could anyone not be in love with the fairy boy, when heâs able to make himself sickly sweet and appealing - itâs not like thereâs any other reason he was so good at getting information from people. Not that heâd want to manipulate you of course, he just canât help his natural charm.Â
⊠if you're with legend then she's a little curious how you fell with his hard outer personality. Not that she thinks like that for long with the things that you can tell her about him.Â
⊠And youâre right, wind is a fair bit jealous that his older sibling is having their focus away from him so often. Donât get me wrong heâs so glad that the two of you are getting along but it wouldnât be hard to include him more right? He looks at you like a kicked puppy until you let him join. He WILL gossip.
#this was a cute little set to write!!!#thank you for the idea love!!/p#Sorry it's on the shorter end though#linked universe x reader#link x reader#linked universe#loz x reader#the legend of zelda x reader#legend of zelda x reader#lu wind

On Sakura and SasuSaku's apparent popularity in the eastern fandom
One of the widely regurgitated talking points in favour of the Sasuke/Sakura relationship is that it is the most popular Naruto pairing in Japan and that Sakura is a very popular character but western fans apparently fail to understand the nuances of their relationship unlike their eastern counterparts. These claims range from half-truths to complete nonsense, in this post I attempt to counter these.
Firstly, let's talk about Sakura's reception in Japan.
Kishimoto infamously said that girls would come up to him to complain about Sakura and that he really struggled to make her likeable. But you don't need his statements to arrive at the conclusion that she is not well received.
Take a look at the Naruto Character popularity polls by Shounen Jump taken during the run of the manga.
Character Poll 1 , as of Chapter 60
1. Kakashi Hatake â 22,692 votes
2. Naruto Uzumaki â 16,729 votes
3. Sasuke Uchiha â 13,674 votes
4. Iruka Umino â 7,128 votes
5. Sakura Haruno â 3,055 votes
Naruto had just started to take off , with Team 7 being the main focus, yet look at the difference in votes for the members. Iruka, a character that barely appears overtook Sakura. What's ironic is that this will be the highest position she would ever receive because her popularity gets worse.
Character Poll 2 , as of Chapter 107
1. Naruto Uzumaki â 2,788 votes
2. Kakashi Hatake â 2,635 votes
.
14. Sakura Haruno â 359 votes
14th Position! Despite the fact she is from a trio of characters that are the most focused on. Not only the other Konoha rookies rank above her but even Gambunta ( the frog ) overtakes her.
In Character poll 3 , 4 ( chapter 199 ), 5 ( chapter 245 ), 6 ( chapter 292 ) and 7 ( chapter 531 ) her ranking becomes 9 , 10 , 8 , 12 and 12 respectively , while the other Team 7 members never leave Top 4. Characters with less panels and appearances repeatedly overtake her.
It is not an exaggeration to say that she was widely disliked as a main character. She has been repeatedly bashed, on Japanese online forums as well as by the author. ( more on this later )
All this of course doesn't mean that she doesn't have a fanbase, oh she has! a very loyal one and a particular kind at that . Women who love Sakura tend to be fans of Shoujo/Josei , something you can notice if you have come across SasuSaku artworks.
When Naruto ended , the majority of their comments were congratulating Sakura on her long one sided crush being finally reciprocated and how happy they were for her. Sasuke fans couldn't care less about the relationship as her character has hardly any effect on his story ( that is, until Gaiden came along and angered many people)
There is a noticeable difference in how JP artists portray their relationship in comparison to their western counterpart. The former portrays it as a 'puppy love' like between an idol and a fan. The appeal of the relationship comes from Sasuke, who is the classical male ideal and Sakura who is deeply ' loyal' to him , who then gets rewarded for it. It is one of the reasons why it only shot up in popularity post-ending.
On the other hand, the latter seems to believe that Sakura is Sasuke's equal, that she challenges and influences Sasuke, despite the fact that she becomes a doormat in front of him and according to Sakura's own words she couldn't come close to Sasuke's heart.
I have discussed why some Japanese fans like Sasuke/Sakura as it may appeal to their taste but these fans don't make much of the fanbase.
Case in point, one of the most hyped SasuSaku material i.e Sasuke Retsuden only managed to sell about 17k copies for the weeks it charted, in Comparison Naruto J Novels 1-7 sold about 470K when it was in circulation back in 2008.
Even the manga adaptation piggybacking on the anime couldn't even sell 40K copies for the first volume.
There was a time when Sasuke's name alone would be enough for a manga to sell out but the truth is that not only the majority of Naruto fans have moved on since 2015, even the loyal fans aren't interested in this content.
After Gaiden came out, Both Sakura and her relationship received harsh criticism, the 2channel threads kept bashing her and Kishimoto of the poor handling of the relationship.
Some of the snippets
"..with the release of Gaiden, the author just had worsened what was already bad. I guess he lost his willpower to write.â
âI was expecting before Sasuke and Sakuraâs feelings would be shown in Gaiden but was edited out...because back time I thought I saw some spoilers that Sasuke and Sakura had gotten closer.
But now thereâs no way there was some edit, no, this whole thing is a fucking lie.â
"A natural progress of loving, to slowly get accustomed and come to love someone, yeah I canât imagine this with Sasu/Saku. Such extremely weird couple, how are they supposed to get used with each other over time? This is the vibe I get.
This relationship feels weird in my head, maybe Iâm asking for too much to find a reason behind this.
But Kishimotoâs Sasu/Saku bonds is completely empty, I guess itâs funny that thereâs nothing to add in it.â
"Sakuraâs feelings is over the top terrible. Sheâs able to be happy with this..â
The thread is VERY long but you get the gist of it.
Fun fact : In 2015 Sasuke/Sakura was 6th most voted couple that should Break-Up by Japnese readers
Accusing others of not understanding their relationship because they apparently don't get their supposedly "culturally contextual relationship" is quite stupid and laughable because it's also hated by many Japanese people. It's only popular with a specific set of audience.
Which brings me to the other argument.
"Sasuke/Sakura is the most popular Naruto couple in Japan"
While this might be true today, it has not always been the case. Sasuke/Sakura shot in popularity post-Naruto ending while the most popular pairing throughout the run of the series (Sasuke/Naruto) declined. ( If anybody has the pixiv stats from 2012/13 , please feel free to add)
Take a look at this Naruto couple ranking list in Japan from 2012 ( the rankings are based on Google Japan results if I am not wrong)
ă”ăčăă« (SasuNaru) â- 166,000 res.
ăă«ă”ăč (NaruSasu) â- 78,400 res.
ă”ăčăă«ă”ăč ( SasuNaruSasu) â- 244,400 res.
ă”ăčă”㯠(SasuSaku) â- 54,700 res.
There's quite a large gap.
Even in 2016, 2 years after Naruto ended and many Sasuke/Naruto artists deleted their artworks or moved on from the fandom , it still rivaled SasuSaku in popularity on pixiv
SasuNaruSasu ă”ăčăă«ă”ăč 9.502 works
SasuSaku ă”ăčă”㯠8.150 works
I will make a separate post for the Chinese Naruto fandom but they are very brutal against the Sasuke/Sakura relationship.
For other East Asian countries, I wrote about how SasuNaruSasu is the largest pairing in China with no close second . I am unfortunately not familiar with the Korean fandom.
This is the general sentiment there :
Sasuke married Sakura to atone for his sins

ok sequel post to the it's cool how obvious mako's crush on ryuko is from day one post from a couple hours ago bc I wanna talk about them more
ryuko takes a bit longer to warm up to her, but honestly? not by much. ryuko has a protective streak in her that lets her befriend people who need her pretty easily, and she's endeared to people relatively quickly if they don't piss her off (i.e. the mankanshokus, senketsu, maiko, eventually satsuki). she really does like people, even if she can be a little standoffish at first
ryuko's a little taken aback by mako's immediate strong affection, but she quickly adapts (very clear in how her approach to mako trying to tackle her changes from dodging to catching her and setting her down gently in only a few episodes). she doesn't get mako at first, but figures her out pretty quickly and adjusts. that's just mako, y'know? plus mako's just very kind to her in a way most people aren't. ryuko, too, wants company. she wants a family, she wants friends.
plus, her protective nature is fed a lot by the other students kidnapping mako so much and mako's dependence on her in those moments. mako is something precious to save and ryuko's weakness, but she also gives her strength. her support means a lot to her and mako comes to her rescue often (in the bathroom with tsumugu, de-monsterifying her, standing up to her family and fighting her demons in the fight club episode, etc etc). ryuko's fight against satsuki is one that feels very solitary. it's emphasized a lot just how many people satsuki has willing to fight for her, and there's just one ryuko. she has backup via mikisugi, mako, and senketsu, but what they can do for her is often pretty limited by their circumstances. again, mako's the one who calls her back from the edge multiple times. she's the key to calming her down. she's the one she staggers home to, the one she celebrates with, the one she spends her free time with. she chooses her company because she likes it. a lot.
there's a lot of moments where ryuko's like yep that's mako :) she's sillyyy. she brightens up immediately around her and often sours when other people enter the picture. she's the one good thing about honouji academy, y'know? she gives in to her a lot, letting her come along on her return to the ruins of her house, letting her come to honouji for the cultural festival, etc. she has an "aww i can't say no to you" thing going most of the time. mako's resolve and persistence is what bores through ryuko's walls and lets her get close to her. it's what she mentions when, after the wedding scene (and we'll get to that, trust me) she says mako and senketsu are more than friends. mako's surprised at her inclusion (again, she tends to slot herself as #2 to senketsu, her sunday best) and ryuko cites that persistence. mako was not only there for her, but stuck around, even when ryuko pushed her away, and that means something to ryuko. ryuko who people always misjudged or sent away or avoided or fought. ryuko who was lonely, whom no one fought for but herself. mako was there, and mako feels the same (as she says running in the naked sol's generator very near the end which. the sheer joy with which they say each other's names there is just. waaaaaaa)
ok the wedding scene. the wedding scene. not gonna go too crazy here bc I don't wanna detail the post but I'll say this: junketsu is frequently referred to as a wedding dress, and the fantasy/hallucination it forces upon ryuko (as the kamui itself was forced on her) is one of a normal-girl, average kinda life. one where she has a mother who's always there for her, she grows up normally, and she's happy. and she's happy because she has a family. she's not fighting all the time, she's in her place in society, she's having a wedding. of course, who she's marrying is irrelevant, even to junketsu. the man is faceless and unacting. he's not what makes this fantasy appealing. it's the assimilation, the acceptance of her by a greater society and authority structure (in this case ragyo). when mako and senketsu burst through the door, its handle flies off and knocks over the groom, stiff as a board, and he is forgotten. mako walks down the aisle to her, to call her back to her senses. ryuko says this is what she needs to be happy, that she'll kill mako to get it. mako says this isn't her or what she wants, pulling the "the ryuko i know" thing from before. but she's always been right. she knows her well. ryuko thinks she hurts mako/senketsu, and that realization lets her break out, lets her flay herself ripping junketsu off. she says she's getting out of that damn wedding dress even if it kills her. this is all to say that that scene is one of the most lesbian-coded things I've ever seen. mako's like you don't need to conform or marry a faceless groom or have a normal life to be happy, and i don't think you're truly happy or yourself like this. and ryuko realizes she's right. she doesn't want to marry a faceless groom, she feels trapped and changed by the wedding dress, by its ceremony and expectations. it's something that has a lot of similarity to a lot of lesbians' experiences of the expectations the world puts on them to marry men, to fit into this role. the joy of having a wedding vs the indifference to actually being married to someone. it's something that resonated with me a lot, having figured out i was a lesbian only a few months prior to seeing it for the first time.
it's after this that she says mako and senketsu are something more than friends. the exact nature of her and senketsu's relationship is unclear to me and debatable, but her and mako's take a very definite romantic shape by the end when mako asks her out, her hallelujah moment featuring them kissing and holding hands, with ryuko in a boy's highschool uniform, evoking heterosexual imagery to imply romantic intent ("I want to go on a date like a boy and a girl would go on a date" is kinda the effect). I think ryuko kinda figures it out then. she wants to go out with mako. she wants to be something romantic to her, something romantic with her.
ryuko lets her in. it's clear to everyone that mako's managed a closeness with her that no one else has (they don't acknowledge senketsu as a person/friend for a long time). they'd move mountains for each other. ryuko, who always had to fight everything alone, finally has someone who's willing to wade through all the bullshit life and ryuko herself give her because she believes in ryuko, because she thinks she's worth it.
my point is ryuko's into mako as much as mako's into her, she's just a bit quieter about it
#anyways. i love them very much#i dont tend to think about the ryuko side of it as much so this is partially me doing that#klk#kill la kill#ryumako#ryuko matoi#mako mankanshoku

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are your thoughts on angel x buffy? :)
Hii i don't mind, thank you for asking đ
So, I used to love bangel sooooo much when i first watched the show. I was 100% into it, (with a crush for Boreanaz too) and i cried so much for them in s2 and when Angel left the show in s3. And I truly, sincerely, unironically hated Spike too (I thought he was a great character but i just loved hating him, you know? Lol). When we saw Spike's dream of kissing Buffy I swear i felt nauseous.
... and then they aired Fool for love.
By the end of that episode I was left in utter existential crisis in front of my tv because i felt my whole world shift. There was a part of me that still liked Angel and Buffy, but there was also this new part that wanted her to be with Spike now.
So anyway, that's when i decided to switch teams and i became team spuffy, and for as much as i had been obsessed with bangel before, it was nothing compared to how deep i was caught into the Buffy and Spike relationship. I never looked back. They were just much more complex and real and compelling. And it made me reevaluate Angel and her relationship with him too. Angel never really knew Buffy, always treated her like a child, and let's be honest--and that's something that hit me only years later when I got older--she was a child when they were together. He was spying on her and falling in love with her when she was just fifteen years old and he was a 240-year-old vampire who had been sired at like 26 years old, and they got together when she was 16/17 and he broke up with her when she turned 18... I don't think that's something the writers did intentionally of course, because (as everything else in buffy) it's just meant to be taken as a metaphor for the ideals and struggles and the intensity of drama of a girl's first love, but it still comes off as icky.
And before anyone comes at me, I know spuffy isn't healthy either, but that's kinda the point and the appeal. First of all, it's fiction and a metaphor, and secondly, it's about two broken people that are supposed to be mortal enemies but are actually two sides of the same coin, so different and yet so much the same, who can understand each other as a whole, light and darkness, in a way that no one else ever could, who yes, hurt each other along the way, but whose love saved them from the deepest darkness, ultimately bringing them into the light.
This is what spuffy is to me, and this is why i think it's not only the superior ship, but one of the best ships of all time (thee best, until i saw destiel, now they're sharing the podium).
So anyway, to get back to your question, the moment i became obsessed with Buffy and Spike (and i have been ever since 2005, lmao, they've been my first real obsession, alongside btvs, until spn and destiel) Angel sort of became the enemy đ
. And I hated him so so so so so much when he appeared in 7x21 and kissed Buffy (pure fanservice, but okay) and brought the medallion that ultimately killed Spike. So i spent years very maturely holding my vendetta against Angel (like, rooting for every demon that fought against him when I watched Angel, lmaoo). In most recent years, I've (sort of) made my peace with the character, after rewatching Angel. I mean he's still the enemy (of course, duh!! Who am i if not eternally petty??) but i appreciate him in his own show.
So i don't ship Angel and Buffy anymore, but I can understand why someone would (as i myself used to), and more importantly, i respect other people's right to ship them.
If we're joking, I'm going to insult Angel and keep saying he's the enemy. But on a mature serious note, I think Buffy and Angel were a great first love (for Buffy), but they were supposed to be just that, the impossible teenage girl's dream of a first love, eternal but doomed to end and break your heart.
I think Angel was much more well paired with Cordelia (which is something I'd never think I'd say), and i found myself shipping them so much when I rewatched the show. It felt so much more mature and profound than what we saw with Buffy and Angel (and that's probably due to the fact that we got slow burn for them - as we did for Buffy and Spike- and could actually see the feelings growing, while Buffy crushed on Angel in the pilot and she was madly in love (as teenagers do) in 0.5 seconds for no apparent reason than the fact that he was hot and mysterious.
So when I say the kiss in btvs 7x21 makes zero sense, I'm not just talking about spuffy, but also about cangel. I feel like both characters parted ways and lived on in their own shows to grow and become their own persons, developing other relationships that were more adult and meaningful, and that kiss was just disrespectful for both (but anyways, it doesn't change anything).
I have so many thoughts about all this honestly, and I hope I haven't gone too much off the tangent with my reply, but i couldn't just give you a simple reply because that would've had to be something like "angel is the enemy and i don't like bangel" but as you can see my thoughts are a little more complex than that đ
#btvs#spuffy#spuffy vs bangel#anti bangel#buffy x spike#angel x cordelia#cangel#my commentary#my opinion#asks#asks answered#@anniemurphy#sorry it took me a little while to reply but i wanted to give a thoughtful answer <3
