oh! my nephew stayed here last night, and he told me that his grandma's partner - the most annoying, conceited, boring man I have ever met - said he doesn't like it that I always contradict him :)
I've met this guy maybe... 5-10 times total? and every time he manages to say something even more stupid than the last! it's almost impressive! like, he thinks he knows everything. and no one ever says anything, they just let him talk because it's not worth it (I know that because almost every one of them has told me this).
but I get too pissed off when it's something I care about. and I'm an adult now, I can talk back to shitty adults, I don't give a fuck.
anyway, I just think it's absolutely hilarious that he feels that way and now I'll do it even more often :) it's very fun when I ask him what his sources are for what he's saying and he just stammers some bullshit and tries to say that's not the point (pretty sure it's 100% telegram and tik tok, because that's the kind of useless old guy he is).
#some fun recent examples include... my niece gave back my rainbow high doll. he saw it and commented that it's disgusting that dolls#sexualise little girls like that because of crop tops and high heels and makeup and garter belts. what the fuck man. no one is sexualising#anything except YOU#that's a fashion doll. meant to be like 15. wearing fun pretty clothes and colourful makeup. if you look at that and think oh that's#too sexy. then I'm sorry but that's YOUR problem#(and garter belts??? it was some decoration hanging off her skirt what the fuck.)#he didn't like it when I said that no one ever says toys for boys have to be good role models :)#got realllly pissy when I wouldn't stop :) like hello dude you know there's something you can do if you don't want anyone to respond to your#fucking bullshit right? it's called THINKING. just keep that shit in your head#I'll keep doing this until he no longer wants to say dumb shit when I'm around :) (so. forever probably. but he's old he'll die before me so#it'll be fine).#oh and one time he tried to convince us that regular people in the UK are better off since Brexit. hello? dude you don't speak a damn word#of English. you barely know how to order a drink or something. how the fuck would you know#it drives me insane. he couldn't be any more mediocre and stupid if he tried. yet he thinks he's the greatest person ever#can't fucking stand him#and men like him in general. (yes it is only ever men. women like my mother are similar but they're never this fucking sure of their shitty#opinions.)#(in fact they usually give up way too easily. in my experience at least.)

Human! Alastor x Fem! Reader
*Disclaimer: This story is an AU and does not follow Hellaverse canon. Alastor is pretty much just a hetero, if this offends you in anyway, then I suggest you block me and go on your way.*
Synopsis: This the story of Alastor and the love of his life, his huntress, the charming Y/n Rosier. A rare beauty out on the bayou, his heart is instantly stolen by her. He’ll do anything for his beloved, even if that includes murder.
Story Warnings: 18+, MDNI, Violence, Blood, Hunting, Murder, Mentions of Child Abuse, Eventual Romance, Eventual Smut, 1920s Attitudes Towards Women
Chapter One Next
Alastor looked up at the now darkening sky. It was getting late and the only thing he managed to find on his hunt were a few measly rabbits that he stuffed into his hunting sack to make carrying multiple of them easier.
“At least we can make a stew out of these,” the disappointment clear in his voice.
He was hoping he’d find a nice big stag to bring home. His mother was quite fond of venison, and even had a special jambalaya recipe that included it. But he knew what ever she made would be delicious.
He took off his glasses and gave them a quick cleaning, he forgot his cleaning cloth at home and had to use his shirt. A bad habit he knew, but it was better than nothing.
He straightened them back onto his face, “Alright, time to go home.”
He started his way back, humming to distract himself from the lousy feeling in his chest.
“GOD DAMNIT!!!” A voice yelled from deeper in the forest.
Alastor stopped dead in his tracks.
That sounds like a lady. I wonder if she needs help.
His gentleman nature would not allow him to ignore a damsel in distress, so he set off in the direction of the voice.
“FOR HEAVENS SAKE! MOVE YOU DAMN STAG!”
Alastor was taken aback when he finally found the source of the noise. It was a woman alright, but a woman who did not match the voice that was coming from her mouth.
She was so beautiful, that Alastor almost couldn’t believe his eyes. He had never seen such a lovely creature in all of his twenty-three years of living. He blinked his eyes a few times to make sure that he wasn’t hallucinating.
“Please, move,” a little whimper escaped from the lady, which snapped him back to reality.
She seemed to be trying to pull a stag with what looked like a makeshift pulling device made out of rope and twigs.
“Excuse me, Miss. Do you need some help with that?” Alastor asked her, while approaching slowly as to not frighten her.
She jumped at the sudden noise before quickly turning her head around to see who was there.
“Oh, thank god! Yes please, Mister. Could you please help me if it’s not too much trouble?” A look of relief on her pretty face.
“Oh, it’s no trouble at all. I’m always willing to help out a lady,” he smiled kindly.
“You’re too kind, Mister! I was scared that I would never be able to get this thing back, haha.”
“May I ask how you ended up in this predicament? Did you find this stag dead?” He queried.
“I shot this stag myself,” she motioned her head to the rifle in her hand that he somehow managed to not notice until she pointed it out.
Hmm, must have been too distracted by her beauty.
“Ah I see. Please forgive me, Sweetheart. I didn’t notice your gun. And might I also ask about this contraption?” He pointed to the device.
“Oh! I just threw it together, I thought it would make it easier for me to move this damn thing, but it did nothing,” she glared at it.
Alastor shook his head, “You ladies are quite clever, far more clever than men. But sometimes, however, you need a man’s strength,” he said while easily lifting the large animal over his shoulder.
She blushed, marveling at him, at how strong he was, “I can’t argue with that.”
She led the way to her house, making small talk.
“So, what’s your name, Mister?” She asked, smiling softly.
He couldn’t believe that he had forgotten to introduce himself, his mother would scold him if she was here.
“Alastor. Alastor Hartfelt. And what might your name be, my dear?”
“Y/n Rosier. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Alastor!”
“A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. I assure you that the pleasure is all mine,” he replied.
Y/n blushed, she had rarely been called beautiful by anyone outside of her family.
“You’re quite beautiful, yourself! I’ve never seen anyone with such a pretty complexion before, and your eyes, they’re such a lovely light brown, not to mention your chestnut hair…did I just say that out loud?”
Nice going, Y/n! You probably freaked the gorgeous man out!
Alastor was the blushing mess now, his heart pounded inside his chest. He even nearly dropped the deer.
Me? She thinks I’m beautiful? Why does that make me feel both so happy and shy at the same time? Pull yourself together, Alastor!
But he quickly regained his composure, “You did, haha! Thank you, my dear, most people don’t compliment my appearance.”
“Well, they should! Such a handsome man deserves to know it.”
They continued to converse. He told her about his mother and her cooking, how there was no one who could make better food. She told him how she had to do all the cooking and housework, because of how frail her mother was.
She talked about her three little sisters, how much of angels they were. Though she admits that it’s hard having to act almost like their mother.
“I’m their big sister, not their mother. I just sometimes wish that Mama would feel better enough one day to actually be our mother again. That’s a terrible thing to say, isn’t it? I’m sorry for going on about my problems.”
“No, your feelings are valid. And you’re correct, you’re not their mother. I understand your frustration. My mother sometimes treats me like I’m still seven years old.”
“Are you her only child?”
“Yes.”
“Well, that’s it then. You’re her baby! Of course she doesn’t want to let go of your childhood. But I also understand your frustration.”
He knew that. But it was nice hearing out of her mouth, she made it sound all the sweeter. He loved his mother. She was a kind soul, not a gentle soul by any means, but a kind one. Y/n seemed to be both kind and gentle.
“I want to be my Mama’s baby again, but I haven’t been that since the first of my little sisters were born,” she looked thoughtfully out into the distance.
“Well, one day you’ll have a husband to take care of you.”
“Yes, until I have a baby and then this whole thing will just repeat itself.”
“You don’t have to have a baby.”
“Hmm, what do you mean?”
“You can be married without having to have children. I know if I ever get married, unless my wife really wants children, we’ll probably never have them. Not that I don’t like children or anything like that but I can’t see myself as a father.”
Y/n stared at him like he was speaking a foreign language. But then she smiled, “I don’t want children either! I wish more men thought like you, Sugar. But I know once I get married, I’ll be expected to birth many children and keep my husband’s blood line going.”
Alastor looked at the tops of the trees, “That’s the thing, I couldn’t care less about ‘continuing my blood line.’ In fact, I think it should just die with me.”
“Why?”
“I hate my father.”
“Oh. I didn’t care for mine either.”
Y/n then changed to more lighthearted topics. Going on about her hobbies outside of doing housework. It turned out she played the piano and sang just like he did. Of course, her piano was an old hand-me-down going back generations. But it played just fine.
His heart wouldn’t stop pounding as walked beside her. He was so charmed by her. Her looks, her kindness, the way her nose wrinkled up when she laughed. It was actually kind of overwhelming. Sure, he interacted with beautiful women before, but something was different about her.
He couldn’t put his finger on it, but it was almost like she had bewitched him in the best possible way.
Little did he know that she was equally as charmed by him as he was by her. She loved the formal way he spoke, how much of gentleman he was, how bright his smile was. It gave her butterflies in her stomach.
Finally, they reached her house. It was a one-story cabin with a little picket fence surrounding it. Suddenly, three adorable little girls came running to Y/n. She got on her knees and embraced them.
“Why were you gone so long, Y/n?”
“We were worried.”
“We missed you.”
“I know, I know I was gone for far too long! I missed you little ones too,” a motherly tone in her voice.
Alastor smiled, “What cute little girls.”
They looked up at him and then back to their older sister, their eyes asking if it was okay to talk to him.
“My little darlings, this is Mister Alastor. He helped me bring home that big stag,” she pointed to the dead animal.
They turned to him and smiled, “Thank you, Mister Alastor!”
“It was my pleasure, dears.”
Y/n got up, “Come on, I’ll show you where to put the deer,” she turned to him.
She led him to a shack behind the house, it was full of tools for gutting and skinning. In the middle was a table, she told him to place it on there.
“I cannot thank you enough! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to feed my family. Thank you so much, Alastor!”
“Please, Sweetheart, again it was no trouble at all! I’m glad I could be of assistance to you and your family.”
The tallest of the little girls came up to him, “Excuse me, Mister Alastor. Will you be joining us for dinner?” Her eyes full of sweet innocence.
Y/n’s face lit up, “Yes, why don’t you join us! It’s the least we can do to repay you.”
“Thank you kindly for the offer, but I have to get home to my Mother. She’s also counting on me to get dinner home,” he motioned to the sack tied to his belt, “Perhaps another time though?” He looked from the little girl over to Y/n.
“Of course! Stop by anytime! You’re always welcome here now,” her smile couldn’t possibly be any sweeter.
Alastor tipped his cap, “Adieu, my dear. And adieu to you, little dears.”
“Adieu, Alastor!” Y/n waved to him.
“Adieu, Mister Alastor!” The little girls said in unison, waving their little arms.
I hope I see him again soon.
“He was handsome, are you going to marry him, Y/n?” Her littlest sister asked.
“She’s not going to marry someone she just met, Louise!” The middle one said.
“Now, Marie don’t shout at Louise. But no, I’m not going to marry him.”
“Awww. You two would be so cute together!”
Y/n pinched the girl’s cheek.
“Annalise, come help me prepare for supper.”
“Yes, Y/n!” The oldest came running to her big sister’s side.
Alastor got home just before sunset, much to the chagrin of his mother.
“Boy, you better have a good reason for being home so late! I was getting worried,” she looked at him sharply from her rocker.
“I’m sorry, Mother. I brought home some rabbits for dinner,” he kissed her cheek.
“It took that long to catch some rabbits?” She said teasingly, taking the sack from her son.
“I met a girl,” was all he said before going upstairs to wash up.
———————————————————————
Alastor lay awake in his bed that night. He stared at the ceiling, counting the wooden panels. He often had insomnia that caused him only to get three to five hours of sleep.
“Y/n,” he whispered.
I wonder if she has trouble sleeping. Or is she someone who sleeps like a baby? I wonder if she snores, I bet it’s cute if she does.
He couldn’t stop thinking about her. Why couldn’t he stop thinking about her? He had just met her that day but already she was causing him to lose sleep.
Is she a side sleeper? Would she mind if wrapped my arms around her waist and hold her close? What if I stole a kiss or two? Would she wake up with an adorable annoyed face?
Alastor grinned just thinking about what it would be like….
What if I kept kissing her all the way down from her lips to her neck? Would she moan at the sensation? What if I nibbled and sucked at her neck? Would she like it? I bet she would. I bet she would beg for more.
What a sight that would be. But he had to stop such thoughts, since did not feel like cleaning his sheets the next day.
He turned to more wholesome thoughts. Like what kind of food did she like? Would she like it if he cooked for her? Did she like venison or did she just hunt it out of necessity? Does she like jambalaya?
What a silly question, everyone in Louisiana likes jambalaya.
He thought about what it would be like coming home to her everyday. Her sweet smile, her warmth. Her wonderful laughter.
“Alright, I have to see her again soon. Or else I’m going to go mad.”
He decided to visit her next week, he figured it would be enough time in between. He didn’t want to come off desperate.
Finally, he rolled over on his side and managed to get a few hours of shuteye. In the morning, his mother would shake him awake and tell him to get ready for church. Then he’d tell her that he’s a grown man and doesn’t have to go to church. She would then do the sign of the cross, and cry out to the Holy Mother to please bring her sweet little boy back.
He loved his mother a lot, however the devoted Catholic side of her was something he could do without. But of course he would go to church with her, because again he loves her. And would do anything for the people he loves.

Can I request any headcanon or Oneshot of Batmom calling the Batfamily by their names? Batmom always calls them nicknames (sweetie, babybird or somenthing), so the Battys think she's upset.
Sorry if it's written wrong or it is not understood!! My main language is not English 😓😓
sure I would love to.
NICKNAMES
Early in the morning, Batmom lies there in her bed staring at the wall. At 6 in the morning, no one was awake except for the infamous Batman sitting next to her.
"Honey, what's wrong why are you up?" To Bruce, it was very unusual to see her up early for she had a habit of sleeping till 10 in the morning.
"Nothing Bruce", and Batmom stood up from her bed and left for the bathroom.
"SHIT, SHIT! what did I do?"
that's all he could think because she NEVER called him Bruce unless she was upset at him. He thinks of all the things he had done the latest skipping a gala and lying to her about an emergency when he was really hanging out with Superman and Wonderwomen.
Batmom came out of the bathroom and left towards the kitchen. There Tim sat at the table with a huge cup of coffee in his hand. He expected a hi or hello but nothing just an awkward silence.
"Hey Mom", but she grunted and said, "hi Tim."
OH MY GOSH, Tim was in complete panic, forgetting about his coffee. She always calls me Timmy, Fuck what did he do?
Finally, Dick comes and sees Tim in complete panic. "What's wrong with you?"
All Tim does is point. To Dick's shock, he points at his mother. Dick thought nothing of it and greeted his mom and gave her a hug like every morning. But to his surprise, His mom didn't greet him back nor return the hug.
"Mama, are you okay? I am fine Dick"
What where's my nickname. Dick looks at Tim and Tim just looks completely horrified. He sees his mom leave and goes back upstairs.
"Alright, Tim fess up what did you do?" said dick. "Me this could have been easily you, Maybe Mom found out about you breaking her very expensive vase," Tim said defending himself. "Well, it's not like you are innocent, Mom probably found out that you're the one who's been finishing all her expensive French coffee," Dick said as a comeback.
"Alright Dickhead, why is mom so angry?" Jason comes walking behind him, "I have no clue she's been acting strange all morning AND SHE DIDN'T CALL ME BY MY NICKNAME," Dick says wiping his tears.
jason says, "Huh same, she usually calls me Baby Bird but she just stood there staring at me". "Maybe, Jason, she found out how you snook out to patrol even though you are grounded," Tim says. Jason says in response, probably... "WAIT how did you know about that Tim. I Know everything... you have cameras around the house don't you Tim," Dick said. "Maybe, Idk", Tim said with an evil grin.
"Okay, guys come on let's go upstairs and apologize to whatever we did," Dick said. "Fine Dickh"-, Jason said but was interrupted... AHHHHHHHHH
"what the hell! I think my eardrum exploded," said Tim
"come on guys, someone could be in trouble," Dick said. "Okay, dickhead calm down," Jason says.
"Damian what's wrong, Ummi said Damian instead of Dami. What did you idiots do this time?"
"Hold on demon spawn we didn't do anything let's ask Dad," Tim suggested.
"Dad, what's happening with mom?" Dick says
"I don't know Dick your mother has been acting weird since this morning and she even woke up early like 6 in the morning early." [GASP], Bruce answers.
"Damn, what the hell did we do?" Damian says.
"shut up demon spawn, I am trying to think," Jason continues.
"Hi, kids... MOM/UMMI!!," Batmom says out of nowhere.
"Kids, I am very disappointed in you," Batmom continues
"But mom we don't even know what we did wrong," dick said, and collectively everyone said yeah.
"Sweethearts, why is there a FUCKING COW on my lawn," Batmom yelled out.
"OHHHHHHHH, yeah Mom we all decided to get a cow," Dick answered truthfully. "Shhhhh dickhead don't get me involved," Jason says slapping Dick behind his head
"Well, I am so glad you told me what happened, so here you go," Batmom says while handing everyone a paper.
"What's this Honey?" Bruce said while taking the paper in his hand
"well, that's the list of chores and you all are grounded for a month!!!" Batmom said yelling.
"WAIT, DOES THAT MEAN I AM GROUNDED FOR TWO MONTHS STRAIGHT", Jason shouted in fear.
"No, Babybird, you all are grounded for two more months since you all exposed yourself when trying to figure out why I was upset with you guys", Batmom said with her hands on her hips.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!," Jason shouted.

your encounter with satoru first happened when your mother requested you to bring your dad’s lunch for him, since he had forgotten it. as any normal daughter would do, of course you’d comply and take the food to your dad, thinking about nothing else but to move along with your day. he just started working under a new organization several months ago, one much larger than his previous corporation and earning a bigger salary.
it was your first time ever in the tall and luxurious building, cramped with busy employees and staff, loud sounds of voices and other noises ringing your eardrums as you navigated through. during that moment, all you knew was that you’re going to get lost, even after several workers by the front desk specifically directed you and gave you a guest pass before returning to their duties. your father message said he was on the ninth floor of the building, so that’s where you venture off to after getting on the elevator.
what was even more astonishing was the complex hallways of the ninth floor. it was awkward for you, arriving at the floor and having absolutely no knowledge of where to go. and while turning a corner, you just so happen to bump into satoru— a man who’d you never thought you’d continue seeing regularly.
at first, it was just a mild attraction. you’ve never seen him before, so you easily mistook him as someone several years older than you. but boy, were you wrong. from your first impression, you presumed satoru as an employee that everyone admired and wanted to be around with, someone who’s confident and playful, sarcastic at times, and enjoys the little things in life. satoru had immediately noticed that you were lost but pretending like you’re weren’t, and he’s teases you about it before inquiring if you need help.
and not wanting to embarrass yourself even more in front of him, you gladly accept the help of this man. and to your luck, satoru happened to know who your dad was, and guided you to the department he was positioned in. and minutes after you met with your dad, was the moment when you found out satoru was your dad’s boss. and that satoru wasn’t even damn close to your age. he was a much older man, almost as old as your own dad. satoru’s voice was raspy, but welcoming with a hint of flirtation. his white hair was natural, glossy blue eyes bright and invigorating enthusiasm like he’s in his 20’s.
you were astonished, embarrassed even to think about the fact you had the hots for him when you immediately saw him. you and your university friends always joked about having an older boyfriend, or a sugar daddy, or someone as old as their own father. you didn’t take it seriously, because you were certain that you’d never get or even find someone close to the age of your dad.
but encountering satoru just so happens to change all of that.
for the next three months, you and satoru often saw each other. your interactions were short, mostly simple hellos and how are yous, nothing more. well, maybe there was more. there was always some sort of intense tension between the two of you: manifesting for you to get close and driving you to want to continue knowing each other better. therefore, this withholding attraction just so happens to lead you to a night with satoru in a bed of a hotel.
obviously, you both agreed to keep your relationship a secret, especially away from your dad. you feel penitent sometimes whenever you hear your dad boast about how amazing satoru is, and how much he’s being promoted and getting recognition for his diligent work. your dad’s an excellent employee, and everyone grew to admire him. but most of his promotions were due to you requesting satoru to do it, well because you want the best for your dad.
and though it’s quite odd to promote a new employee to a high position, satoru still does it— somehow convincing his own bosses to accept your dad’s promotions.
however, your attraction for satoru was fervent and devouring you whole when you were trying to deny such feelings towards him. none of your friends knew about your relationship with satoru, not even your best friend- who you tell everything. he was the same as you, swearing he wouldn’t text or call you anymore and would leave you alone since it’s most likely for the best. his words dagger your heart each time, and it makes you plead for him not. hence, always caused you two to come back to each other. you can never resist the temptation of sending satoru that one message that would lead you to him pounding his heavy cock into you, having you cry for more and grind your body against his.
therefore, your secret relationship then continued for another five months— and well, you’re most definitely certain that you’re in love with satoru. but you’re probably never going to disclose such information, though you’re certain you make it obvious. satoru’s love life was never as fortunate either. his relationship with his previous wife consisted of countless arguments, disagreements and misunderstandings that she couldn’t handle it anymore. but that’s all you know, and you figured he’d probably never get too serious with a 20 year old and just wants to mess around for the fun of it.
so, you’re deciding to take this moment of fun until you both officially come to terms of no longer contacting each other.
your dad’s aware of the bond you and satoru share, but he only thinks it’s because of your similar interests in traveling. whenever satoru is invited to your parents’ home and you’re there, he’d always inform you about his weekend or business trips, encouraging you to go and buying you souvenirs. you both pretend as if you never see each other, but of course, it’s most likely possible that you two were fucking in his car the night before. your dad had never once assumed anything sexual between you and satoru, so you both got away with it perfectly.
today’s another day where you’re dropping off your dad’s lunch. you offered to bring your dad lunch nearly every single day, which allowed your mother to prepare warm dishes for him. and because of your regular visits, nearly everyone on the ninth floor knew about you. they always greeted you, welcomed you with smiles and short taps on the shoulder. most of the men tease your dad, since they wanted their daughters to bring them their lunch too but other than that, no one ever speculates on the other reasons why you’re actually there.
“[name]! you’re here early,” your dad greets you whenever you approach his office desk. he takes a quick glance at the bento box wrapped in your hand and smiles. “i wonder what your mother made for me today. i can already smell how wonderful it is.”
you chuckle. “right? i almost ate it on the way here.”
“are you hungry too? we can share,” your dad replies with a short laugh as you place the bento box down on his desk. “just give me about ten more minutes, sweetie. i’m almost done with my final documents,” he adds on next to which you shake your head.
“it’s alright, dad. i have to get going now anyway. i’m meeting up with several of my friends for a study session, i’ll see you later tonight though,” you reply, smiling before leaning down to peck a kiss on your dad’s cheek. he sighs, disappointed since he always looks forward to sharing his lunches with you but he returns a wide smile.
“okay, my daughter, no problem at all. call me whenever you’re coming over then,” your dad utters, and you nod before saying your final byes and waves.
as you disappear from your dad’s sight, you quietly slip to the restroom nearby. he thinks you’re leaving, but you’re actually not. interestingly enough, this restroom was just right across from satoru’s office, and you always used the area to your advantage in order to sneak into his office. it’s worked countless of times, and you didn’t even notify satoru about coming to see him today, since it wasn’t like you go there everyday.
there wasn’t any employees or anyone else around, so you gently knock on his office door. you wait several moments, before hearing him reply from the other side. “come in.”
twisting the knob and opening the door, you step inside, eyes faltering to satoru.
satoru was sitting behind his desk, eyes riveted on the screen of his computer that he didn’t even look away until he detected your figure in his perception. satoru lifts his gaze, surprised that you appeared unexpectedly and stands from his chair. “[name], what are you doing here?” he questions.
“oh, you know- just dropping off my dad’s lunch like always. surprise?” you reply, almost with a giddy attitude as satoru approaches you. he shuts the door behind of you, clicking it locked before pressing his hand on your back to pull you close to him.
“you should’ve called or texted me that you were coming,” satoru pouts, leaning in for a kiss but you turn your head, rejecting his lips and furrow your brows. satoru chuckles, “no kiss today?”
“if you give me a kiss, you know where it’ll lead to.”
satoru smiles, now pressing your body close to his. “i know, princess. but just one? been missing you since yesterday after you left,” he whispers, hot breath tickling your ear that it’s almost hard to resist not crashing your lips onto his.
it’s addicting— satoru and his tender voice, words pulling you in like a magnet and making your heart flit in motions you couldn’t control. you shift your eyes slightly, meeting his gaze before pouting. “i’m guessing that’s a yes then,” satoru smiles wider before leaning in, pressing his lips passionately against yours.
your hands reach behind satoru’s back, nudging into the material of his blazer as he deepens the kiss, holding your body against his. your eyes close shut, lips hungrily moving with satoru’s, and a moan quietly escapes when he pushes his tongue into your mouth. he groped the side of your ass with a hand, gently caressing the fat underneath your denims.
“sa-satoru..” you quietly utter as he breaks the kiss, lowering his lips against your jawline and down your neck. “n-no more..”
“you sure, angel? sounds like you don’t want me to stop though,” satoru purrs, pulling his face away to directly look down at you again. a faint smirk appears on his lips as he drags his thumb over your lips. “we only saw each other for twenty minutes yesterday, ‘nd i wasn’t able to return the favor for you. let me do something quick, yeah?”
satoru’s words are alluring, and you find yourself nodding your head before you even realized it.
whatever satoru meant by ‘doing something quick’, just so happens to steer towards you being stuffed with his cock and riding him while he sits on his chair. you’re both completely naked, clothes discarded around his office’s floor, moans muffled behind of your lips as you slowly rock your hips, moving against the length of his hard member. satoru’s holding his moans too, dick throbbing from the feeling of your gummy walls pulsating and tightening around him.
“you really gotta stop coming here, princess. i’m out of condoms because of you,” satoru speaks softly, a low grunt following after as he feels you squeeze around him when you glide your hips up. initially, satoru wouldn’t have done this because he’s out of protection, but hearing your whiny voice and seeing your desperate expression granted the acceptation of going raw. “b-but you’re the one who-“ you start, pausing when satoru bucks his hips, jerking his cock deep in your aching hole.
“i was the one who what?” satoru repeats with a smug smile, both hands holding the sides of your hips. you squirm, unable to reply at that instant, feeling intense rushes of ecstasy flowing in your veins. “you’re blaming me for this?”
“no..” you finally respond with a short squeal, bouncing your hips faster on his cock. most of the time when you two are having sex, it’s with a condom and you never feel the bare skin of his dick unless it’s in your mouth. but whenever it’s inserted warm and hard into your pussy, you just become an entirely different person— drunk all over him and moving like you’re trying to milk him dry. “‘ts my fault, ‘toru. shouldn’t have c-come here..”
“you’re right. you shouldn’t have, but i’m glad you did,” satoru replies, eyes lowering to where you two connected. his cock twitches each moment he watches your folds spreading just to fit him, his girth getting coated by your slickness and clenched by your overbearing neediness. “can never get tired of my cock, no?”
“never!” you mewl out, your fingertips prodding into the flesh of satoru’s shoulders. your moans pitch louder, nearly resonating the room along with the wet squelching noises of your pussy grinding against satoru’s cock. it’s filthy to hear, but you loved it. “love, love, your cock s’much..”
“you gotta be quiet princess, these walls aren’t soundproof,” satoru groans quietly, slapping your ass as you proceed to bounce your hips. of course, you’re aware of that, you always are but you can’t refrain yourself from moaning like that. especially when satoru’s bare cock is rubbing into you so perfectly, making you reach an orgasm.
“satoru, satoru- please-“ you cry out his name repeatedly, but he quiets your lips by pinning his against yours, having your moans fall into his mouth instead. you know you need to tone your voice down, especially when there’s high chances of people walking outside of satoru’s office. the only benefit of fucking in his office was that there wasn’t any windows peering out to the hall. however, even if these walls were thick enough, satoru knew you’d both get caught eventually because of how loud you’re moaning.
but satoru couldn’t deny the way he loves hearing you utter his name so affectionately and erotically when you’re pleading for more. it makes him feel like he’s special, like he’s being gifted by something no one else can receive from you. you’re so different from his previous partners, it always makes him ponder how he even found himself in a situation with a college girl. he’s not complaining though, not after reaching this far with you. satoru’s thoughts process towards an end when his smirk grows wider because of your cunt fluttering around him, making him realize you’d reach your orgasm.
“‘toru.. please.. want you to fuck me, please,” you whine, pushing your hips down to feel his cock spread your sensitive walls once more. you’re almost rocking against him again before he firmly holds you, smiling at how needy you already became even after orgasming.
“you wouldn’t want your father to know that you’re fucking his boss, do you—?” satoru tilts his head, as he brings one hand to softly thumb the skin underneath your eyelids. “or maybe you do, that’s why you’re begging for me like this.”
“no, no, i don’t. please, satoru- i’ll be quiet, i promise,” you frown, trying to convince him with your sheepish voice. but you both know that wasn’t bound to occur. with the way satoru thrusts his hips, it’s unlikely you’d stay quiet even with something covering your mouth. you bite your lower lip, trying not to move your hips as you cockwarm him for a little while. he gives you an expression of consideration, a small and sly smirk tugging the corner of his lips.
“fine. but on one condition.”
your eyes seem to light up, and nodding your head, you’re indicating that you’ll do anything if it meant satoru fucking you.
“you’ll have to call me daddy,” satoru blurts the condition, raising your body to press you down against his desk, knocking several small objects off the surface and making them roll on the ground. you breathe a small gasp, glancing up at him with a large set of eyes. “am i seeing this as a no?”
you shake your head at an instant, pulling him close by the neck. “n-no.. i’ll say it,” you reply quietly, swallowing lightly.
“hmm?”
“da-daddy… please, i want your cock..” you plead once again, almost breaking gazes with him because of how flustered you felt. you never uttered such name in a sexual setting before, but maybe you’ll start to like it, the way satoru is.
satoru has you in the mating press position, pressing your thighs down close to the cold top of his desk as he pushes his cock past your folds and starts thrusting his hips. your breathy moans starts plummeting fast and it’s just as you thought before, you’re unable to refrain them back. especially with the angle of your g-spot satoru’s cock is scraping against, driving you back towards another orgasm and stirring your core.
“n-ngh- fuck!” you cry, eyes shutting as your hands begin to claw the skin of satoru’s back.
“you really want to get caught, don’t ya?” satoru chuckles, nudging his cock into your deepest parts and feeling your cunt squeeze around him. just as long as everyone outside was occupied and not paying too close attention, you two would most likely be fine. but your voice seems to be pitching higher each moment, potentially drawing others to become curious on what’s happening in this room.
“no! i-i don’t, ‘m sorry, daddy- i’ll really quiet down,” you manage to choke out as he’s gradually pounding into you, heavy balls smacking against your wet vulva. satoru groans quietly, murmuring low explicit words as his fingertips prod the flesh of your thighs. you press your palm over your lips, hoping that’d help your moans stop from reaching further out to the other side of satoru’s office door.
“is my good girl sure ‘bout that? sure she can keep quiet while being fucked by my cock?” satoru grunts, lifting one of his hands to wrap around your neck. he gently presses against your throat, smirking at how you’re covering up your moans even though they’re still audible beneath. well, how can you now when he’s saying that name to address you?
honestly, satoru lost the amount of times he’s fucked you like this. he still remembers the first time— when you both encountered each other in front of a convenience store one late friday night. you were returning home from a college party, while he just finished completing paperwork. surprisingly, you weren’t as drunk as satoru expected, since most college students partied hard. even though you weren’t drunk, you acted like it. stumbling your words, averting your gaze from his, appearing flustered each moment he neared you. there was no stench of alcohol on you, and he speculated you were directing towards something else. however, he didn’t assume further until you two neared a hotel. you seemed to have noticed the building and it must’ve triggered a nerve, as satoru shortly finds your lips pressing on his. you admitted how you wanted him, and that was all when it started.
such a young and horny adult yearning for the touch of an older man. when you two fucked the first time: your cunt openly took in his thick length, your walls opening to fit around him perfectly— such a young pussy satoru never thought he’d have his cock stuffed in. the way your quiet moans quickly turned into loud ones, voice crying out his name until you no longer couldn’t.
satoru had never felt attracted to a younger woman before, specifically one who’s still in college and younger than his own daughter. you were even the same age as his son, megumi. satoru figured you’d probably affix your attraction towards him, but he shortly realizes how you completely disregard the boy, even when megumi showed interest in you under his stoic demeanor.
just what was so special about satoru that made you stay around him?
“fucking around with a man as old as your dad, aren’t you ashamed?” satoru questions, his hand still wrapped around your neck before he pushes your hand away to insert his thumb into your mouth. your tongue instantly swirls around his finger, eyes nearly rolling back because of how rough satoru’s thrusting. “it’s ‘cause i fuck you good, don’t i? that’s why you’re always coming around.”
“n-no, that’s not true!” you cry out, your throat moving against his palm. “then what about you? a-aren’t you messing with someone as old as your daughter?” you repeat the question, making him hiss slightly.
“what if i said i’m not ashamed?” satoru decides to answers, short groans following as he fastens his thrusts, making you wince louder. “if i was, i wouldn’t be doing this with you, y’know. it may be wrong, but it feels right.”
“‘toru—“ you whine, tears welling your eyes as you’re unable to formulate the proper words to respond to him. but they dagger you in the heart, making it pound heavily, flourishing your ears. in this sense, you believed in satoru’s words and you also felt the same he did. “i love you, i love you, satoru,” you manage to chant out.
those three words were something satoru’s never expected to hear from you and for some reason, it switches something in him. he knows why and what it is: he loves you too. he’s just been too afraid to admit it ever since his first marriage failed, claiming that there’s no curse worse than love. satoru claims it’s utter bullshit, that there’s no need for such emotions because of what it can do to a person. but when satoru met you— you just happen to change it all for him.
“f-fuck..” satoru grunts, holding your jawline before kissing you harshly. he’s still thrusting, sensually and rough, pace quickening as he’s nearing his orgasm. “mm- i’m always around you- because i love you, ‘toru!” you repeat again when your lips parts. your mind somewhat was becoming foggy, yet these words are able to slip out casually, but it’s genuine and that’s all you need to get your reason across.
“i love you too, [name]. sososo much,” satoru replies as your lips meet again, your tongues passionately grinding together. his thrusts become harder to the point his desk is shaking and slightly moving to another position. his lips move down to your neck, peppering soft kisses before he whines in your ear. “fuck it. scream all you want, baby. let your dad and everyone else hear how much we love each other.”
your pussy clenches around him at his words. it’s arousing to think about, to imagine other people outside listening to an older man relentlessly fuck his cock into you. you’re already staining satoru’s desk with your arousal, both of your moans mixing with the wet sounds from where you two connected becoming louder that it’d probably be audible from the hall.
“i—i’m cumming.. oh god-“ you can’t fathom how many times satoru has already made you orgasm, you’ve lost track. your body’s sensitive and quivering with the amount of pleasure flowing through your veins. it’s overwhelming, however it feels absolutely amazing.
satoru’s rough drags with his cock has you nudging your nails into the skin of his back once more, leaving long red scratch marks visible on his pale skin. you’re both close, warm bodies chafing against each other’s as time slowly rolls forward. maybe you two didn’t know that there were several people outside of satoru’s office, unbeknownst to what was happening on the other side.
“don’t forget the name, princess. c’mon, let me hear it.”
“daddy!” your cry of pleasure echoes off the walls, it’s incomparable to the sound of his cock ravaging your cunt, plunging deep towards your womb. “a-are you gonna cum, daddy? please cum inside me.”
“y’know, i can’t do that, angel,” satoru grunts, lifting your body off the table and propping you up with his firm hold. he’s never given you a creampie before, out of concern of you getting pregnant since the chances were still much very high despite his age. but seeing how you’re always so desperate for one just makes satoru want to forget the consequences at least once and do it.
“please— ‘toru- ngh, daddy, please!” you whine out, feeling him piston hard into you when you uttered his name. your moans are messy, his thrusts are sloppy and wet, and whoever else is outside is probably aware of what’s happening. but you two couldn’t care about the world, thoughts only occupied with each other’s embraces and passion. “please don’t pull outtt!” you cry next, sucking his cock into your cunt.
but he doesn’t listen to you and pulls out anyway.
“fuck, i’m cumming,” satoru groans before his warm load shoots on your lower belly, and your ejaculation follows next, squirting all over him, parts of his desk and the floor.
gaspy breaths were only heard between you and satoru as he sets you back on the desk, your forehead pressing against his bare chest. you can hear the vibrations of his heart, pounding softly beside your ear as one of his hands reach to hold the back of your head. the moment feels rather romantic, and you couldn’t help but recall to the moment he said he loves you too.
it sends roiling signals to your core and your eyes search for satoru’s face as he was cleaning up the mess on your lower belly. “‘toru..” you whisper softly and he raises his gaze.
“yes?” he replies.
there were no more words uttered when your lips meet his, ever so gently and endearing. you feel satoru smile within the kiss as he pulls your chest close to his. it’s romantic, more than anything you’ve felt before. was this what it was like being in love with an older man? or just, gojo satoru in general?
a knock shortly interrupts you and satoru, causing the two of you to drift away and turn towards the door.
“um.. sir, are you alright in there?”
the voice belonged none other than to your father.
you panic, turning to satoru who shakes his head, indicating for you to remain silent. he keeps a calm expression through all this. satoru then remembered about a small group meeting he needed to attend, but forgot about it due to your arrival. he sighs, “i’m fine. just got distracted a little, please go to the room. i will be there shortly.”
“understood,” your father replies, before quiet hurries leave the other side of the door.
it’s silent again, but just to make sure no one else was still out there, the two of you quickly cleaned up and redressed in your clothes. satoru takes a quick peek into the hall, sighing when there wasn’t anyone around anymore. but that didn’t mean that no one didn’t hear what was happening inside of his office. satoru’s certain that your dad’s aware about him sleeping with someone, but that someone he didn’t know was you. from now on, it’s going to be riskier. but satoru couldn’t stop himself anymore. he returns to you, watching as you were slipping on your shoes.
“you free tonight?” satoru questions, a small grin on his face for a hopeful yes.
“i’m going to my parents’ for dinner tonight,” you reply, approaching him and tiptoeing to give him another quick kiss on the lips. “well.. i mean, i’m free after that though.”
satoru’s eyes burn with excitement, and he wraps his arms around you once more. “come to my house afterwards then. megumi’s out with his friends for the night so it’ll just be you and me,” he explains, lowering his face near yours. “we can have a nice dinner. talk and do whatever. that sound good to you?”
“sounds more than wonderful,” you reply, giggling softly.

Chapter Seven
Wednesday morning was supposed to start like it always did - small talk with your mom over a bowl of cereal and then running out the door before the conversation whittled down to awkwardness. You wish you could appreciate your mother’s efforts to try to connect with you, but she never asked about anything beyond school and skating - once those two subjects were exhausted, it was as if you two had nothing more to talk about.
But today was different. Today, your dad was actually sitting at the breakfast table instead of rushing to his office before you even came downstairs. Today, your head was a little fuzzy from drinking the night before. Today, you wished you had just run out the door and skipped breakfast, because you could see right away that your parents wanted to have a conversation.
You paused briefly in the kitchen entry, looking between the two before trying to act casual, walking towards the pantry and preparing a quick breakfast. You could feel their eyes following you, and damn did you wish someone would just say something. Your father always acted like this before a serious conversation - he stayed silent to intimidate you, to put you on edge in hopes that it would make you more pliable to what he had to say. You’d always assumed he did this to clients and business associates as well, as if to suggest some kind of dominance over them. Well, you weren’t going to let it get to you that easily, you never did before.
You sat at the opposite end of the table from your father, your mom hovering at the kitchen sink although there were no dishes to be cleaned. You started to eat as if you were totally unphased by their watchful eyes, as if you were entirely oblivious to their stares, although you knew neither of them bought the act for a second. One of you was going to cave eventually, and it sure as hell wasn’t going to be you.
Sure enough, your mom spoke first as she approached the table, just like you expected her to, “You have practice after school today?”
You gave her a critical look before nodding - you knew that she knew you always skated on Wednesday, making that a pretty pathetic attempt at breaking the tension in the room.
“Are you actually going?” Your father asked in an accusatory tone, although he maintained a neutral expression so as not to give away what he was thinking.
You couldn’t help the mean look in your eyes as you met his intense gaze. Your tone was stubborn and cold, “Yes.”
“And will that boy be there?” The disdain in your father’s words was clear as day. Your brow knotted at the question, both because you didn’t like his tone and because you wondered how he found out about Eddie already.
“Boy?” Your tone was mocking - you weren’t feigning ignorance, but rather presenting your father with a challenge, daring him to elaborate on what had gotten his mood so twisted. And it was clear in his face that he didn’t appreciate your attitude one bit.
“Mrs. Redford saw you two together on Friday.” Your mother chimed in, hoping to serve as the calm mediary considering that you and your father were both intense, mean people.
Of course it was Mrs. Redford who told your mom about Eddie - she was such a damn gossip, and with her daughter participating in your skating lessons, you should have known she would have noticed you leaving with Eddie that night. She was drawn to drama and gossip as if it was the air she breathed, so it was certainly no surprise that she ran off to tell your parents about this new boy that she spotted you with.
“Why does it matter?” You dropped your spoon in the forgotten breakfast that sat in front of you, slouching into your seat in growing frustration.
“Because he’s clearly a troublemaker.” Your dad’s tone matched yours, causing you to roll your eyes, “Don’t you dare roll your eyes at me.”
Your jaw clenched at the threat in his voice, “How could you possibly know someone is trouble without even meeting them?”
Your father pressed his palm to the table firmly, “Because I know his type - a lazy punk only interested in skating by and disrespecting the establishment. I’m a good judge of character.”
“How?” You insisted with exasperation, causing your father to look down on you as if you were some stupid kid.
“You were out way past curfew last night - were you with him?” Your dad glowered, and evidently your expression gave him the answer he wanted, “You ran out the door without telling your mother where you were going or who you were with. She saw you climb into some van, for Christ sake. And the way Mrs. Redford described this hoodlum? The leather, the hair, the tattoos? What’s gotten into you?”
You held your ground firmly, glaring as you crossed your arms, “I don’t see what the issue is.”
“The issue is you’re acting out, you’re avoiding us, and this boy you’re seeing seems to be encouraging this behavior!” Your father raised his voice, “I don’t care that you’re eighteen now, you still live under my roof.”
“You don’t care about anything!” You can’t help but shout back, “You only care now because you’re worried I’ll make you look bad. You’re worried about stupid gossip!”
“That’s not what this is about!”
“We’re just worried about you,” Your mother tried to intervene in an even tone, drawing the attention of the both of you, “We don’t want you to lose sight of what’s important just because of a boy.”
You throw up your hands in defiance, your voice harsh, “What important things am I ‘losing sight of!?’”
“Don’t take that tone with your mother!” Your dad jumped back in, “The last thing you need your senior year is some punk distracting you from school, from skating. You need to consider your future. Don’t you want to get into a good school? Don’t you want to skate?”
“I don’t know what I want!” You admitted angrily, “Maybe I don’t want to go to college or skate or do the shit you tell me to! Maybe I just want to enjoy life a little.”
“Enjoying life doesn’t get you anywhere.” Your father glared, “We tell you these things to help you. So, stop hanging around this boy and start focusing on your future.”
“You didn’t care what I was doing before, why do you care now?” You challenged coldly, “You didn’t care when I was out late with Duncan, you didn’t care when I’d miss practice because I’d be out with Amelia or Janet. You only care now because it’s Eddie.”
You instantly realized you shouldn’t have mentioned his name. Not yet, at least, not in the middle of this argument. Yes, you wanted your parents to know you were “dating” some new, troublesome guy, but you didn’t want them to actually know who he was yet - you had hoped to build up a little more suspense first, a little more tension between you all. You hoped your face didn’t give away what you were thinking.
“Eddie?” Your father laughed as he said the name, “You call things off with this Eddie now, do you hear me?”
You looked between your parents’ faces - your father looked as stern and condescending as ever, and your mom looked like she was away somewhere in thought. Perhaps she was trying to pinpoint any Eddies she’d heard of before and figure out who the hell he is.
A frustrated sound leapt from your throat as you rose to your feet aggressively, the legs of your chair making a grating sound on the floor.
“Whatever,” You spun around to leave, seeing the time on the wall clock before shooting your parents a mocking look, “I’m going to be late. Great job getting me back on track.”
You knew just how rude your tone was, so you practically ran out of the kitchen to avoid your father’s wrath.
“Excuse me!?” His offended voice shouted after you. You scooped up your school bag and your car keys, running out the door without looking back.
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Just like you suspected, you were late for your first period class, receiving a reprimanding from your teacher, which only served to piss you off even more. Today just wasn’t your fucking day. So, by the time you walked into your math class a couple hours later, it was actually something of a relief to see Eddie already there; why you were actually pleased to see him was a thought you weren’t quite ready to entertain.
He grinned once he spotted you, but the way you flopped into your seat caused his face to immediately twist with curiosity. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his legs situated in the aisle between you two.
“Feeling hungover, princess?” He asked with only a small jest in his tone, as if he could tell that you weren’t in the mood right now. His eyebrows furrowed together as you glared, although you knew he wasn’t the one that deserved the cold look.
“No.” You groaned, your jaw clenched tight enough to hurt your teeth. You sighed through your nose, trying to collect yourself - it was stupid to let this frustration eat at you, although you were always prone to holding onto grudges.
Eddie nudged your knee softly, so you met his eyes again. He stared at you patiently and inquisitively, “So, what’s wrong?”
You considered for a moment whether or not you wanted to tell him. With a sigh, you sat up in your seat, turning so that you mirrored Eddie, legs in the aisle and knees brushing his. You let your knees rest there, allowing the small amount of contact as if you needed it to ground you, as if you even enjoyed it.
“It’s my parents.” You start, looking down at where your knees met his. Your skirt was short and his jeans were ripped, so you were skin-to-skin. It didn’t matter, of course, you were simply trying to find something else to focus on, “They aren’t thrilled about you.”
“Oh, so you told them?” Eddie gave you a small grin, hoping to lighten your mood a little. And you wouldn’t admit it, but it was already beginning to work.
“One of my neighbors saw us together.” The bell rang in the middle of your sentence, but neither of you faced forward, eyes staying locked on one another.
“You seem pretty worked up about it.” His quiet tone had a hint of question to it, clearly wondering what exactly happened with your parents. Your teacher began going down the attendance sheet and the focus of today’s lesson.
“My dad’s a dick.” You responded in a whisper, “Just grilling me about shit - about you - as if I were a damn criminal or something.”
The sound of your name on your teacher’s lips drew your attention, and you harshly met her stare, “Would you two like to join the class now?”
You rolled your eyes as Eddie smiled lazily, the both of you turning to face forward. He reached out to give your knee one more playful nudge, as if to assure you that all would be well.
As the teacher began her lesson, you and Eddie kept stealing glances at one another conspiratorially, which helped to slowly ease the tension in your shoulders, to slowly relax your mood. After another couple of minutes, Eddie held a folded piece of paper between the two of you, obviously intending for you to read it. You slyly took it from him, fingers brushing against his as you wondered what he possibly had to say right now.
I think I can win him over.
The silly little doodle accompanying the note emphasized the joke, and you couldn’t help but grin at it just a little. You side-eyed Eddie, catching the way he smiled mischievously at you. With a roll of your eyes, you scribbled down a reply and handed it to him.
All the charm in the world wouldn’t win him over.
You watched Eddie’s face out of the corner of your eye, awaiting his reply with a hint of eagerness. The note was back in your hand once again.
So you admit I’m charming?
A small huff of a laugh escaped you as you rolled your eyes, beginning to write a response. But a presence walking down the aisle drew your attention, noticing your teacher was walking right to you. Your stomach dropped a little, realizing you were caught, but you simply looked up at her as if you did nothing wrong.
“Is there something you two would like to share with everyone?” She asked accusatory, crossing her arms in reprimand. You held her eyes with a challenging stare - god, this day just kept giving you hit after hit.
“Nothing in particular.” You retorted, hearing someone in the room make a nonplussed sound. Your teacher glowered at your attitude.
“Then I suggest you follow along or take this little conversation to detention.”
You gave her a mean, mocking smile, baring your teeth almost as if it was a threat, “I’ll take the detention, please.”
Again, more surprised sounds from the teacher and from students. You dared to look over at Eddie, who looked both taken aback and impressed at how difficult you were being today.
“Excuse me?” Your teacher challenged you.
Your eyes were dark as you stood your ground, “Detention. Please.”
The teacher looked between both you and Eddie with a huff, but a moment later a decisive look crossed her features, which put you on edge.
“Fine, if that’s how you want it to be. You can go to detention. Mr. Munson will stay here.” You gaped, your eyes glaring at the back of her head as she turned to walk back towards her desk, “No point in sending the both of you, right?”
You hated the fact that even your teacher was now mocking you, resented the fact that this day just kept piling more shit on your shoulders. You shared a look with Eddie, who looked sorry for landing you in trouble; you thought that you should’ve been upset at him for it, but you weren’t. It seemed like Eddie was the only person not getting on your last nerve today.
You rose to your feet as your teacher walked back towards you, a slip of paper in her hand outstretched to you. Haphazardly, you threw all your belongings in your bag before aggressively snatching the note from your teacher.
“You give that to the detention attendant, I don’t want to hear that you ran out on it.” She instructed with that hint of satisfaction in her tone. You glowered back at her.
“Bite me.” You spun on your heels as various students made, yet again, sounds of excitement at the harsh tone and words you threw at the teacher. As she started spewing some kind of reprimand that you weren’t listening to, you marched out of the room.
What a fucking day. You stomped down the hall, steam practically coming from your ears with how pissed off you were. In annoyance, you balled up the detention slip and tossed it at the nearest trash can, although you missed, which irritated you even more.
You’d never gotten detention before. Under different circumstances, you probably would have been thrilled to be sent to detention, to finally be enough trouble for a teacher to send you off. But after the morning you’ve been having, all you could feel was frustration.
Less than a minute after you stomped out of math class, you heard a door swing open and hit a wall somewhere behind you, prompting you to turn towards the noise. And once you saw who it was, you couldn’t help but smile with a surprising sense of glee.
Eddie Munson, your knight in shining armor.
He dashed down the hall to catch up with you, smiling just as widely as you were as he practically skidded to a halt in front of you. A small laugh escaped you as he hunched over in an attempt to catch his breath. He looked up at you with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
“Let’s get out of here.” He instructed simply, grabbing your wrist and dragging you down the hall with him. You allowed yourself to be led through the school, your smile settling into a simple, pleased smirk, relieved to have Eddie’s company.
“And where are we off to?” You asked, receiving a shrug from Eddie. Once you two had turned into a new hallway, he slowed so you could walk side-by-side, experimentally sliding his hand into yours. Once again, you still felt hesitant at more intimate contact such as this, but you allowed it without cringing too hard.
“Anywhere but here, you troublemaker.” He teased with a content smile, guiding you towards the school exit.
“So, we’re skipping?” You inquired, and you had to admit the idea really appealed to you right now - you’d had enough of today, and if you didn’t escape you thought you might explode with utter frustration.
“If that’s alright with you, princess.” Eddie gave you a silly expression while bumping your shoulder.
“Please get me the hell out of here.”
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
The most time you’d ever spent in a video arcade was for one pathetic round of Galaga while on a date with a boy your freshman year. Following that, you decided arcades weren’t for you - they were always crowded with a bunch of kids running around and shouting, and you’d branded all the adults that spent time at arcades as total losers. What could possibly be so appealing about games designed for children?
So, when Eddie pulled up in front of the Palace Arcade, you gave him a critical look, which he chose to ignore entirely as he stepped out of the van. He rounded to your side and opened the door, offering you a hand like a royal stepping out of a coach. You looked between his hand and his face for a moment, still judging the choice to come to an arcade. Reading the look on your face all too well, Eddie pulled his own affronted expression.
“What, too good for arcade games?” He put on an over-the-top, almost Shakespearean tone while placing a melodramatic hand to his chest, “But I’ve brought you to the Palace, the finest establishment in town for the ice princess.”
You rolled your eyes and tried not to laugh at him, unwilling to admit that even Eddie’s dumbest jokes were starting to win you over. Nonetheless, you took his outstretched hand with a large sigh, stepping out of the van despite your lack of interest in this place. Eddie, of course, smiled triumphantly, closing the door behind you and leading you into the arcade.
Given that it was only about noon, the place was virtually dead, which was quite the relief - no need to worry about loud, annoying kids getting in the way. Aside from the two of you and the Palace employee, there was a group of three college-aged boys clustered around Frogger and a lone man focused on something called Paperboy. None of the patrons looked up when you and Eddie entered, and the only reason the employee took any note of you is because it was simply his job. Of course, once he spotted you, he did a double-take.
The employee’s jaw hung slack as if in disbelief, and he nervously greeted you two, trying to keep his attention on Eddie. It appeared that the two were familiar with one another, and you wondered if Eddie really spent that much time here or if maybe this was a guy that used to go to school with the two of you. Either way, their interaction wrapped up quickly, and Eddie dragged you to the change machine.
As Eddie inserted a few bills, you looked around at the other arcade patrons, who finally seemed to take notice of you. In the group near Frogger, one of the boys nudged his friends, insisting they both look up; none so subtly, they all looked at you as the music from their arcade cabinet seemed to signal game over. You looked back with a raised brow and cold eyes, causing them all to quickly look away, although you were certain you’d probably catch them spying again. As you gazed back at Eddie, you couldn’t help the grin that spread across your lips - there was something about being the only chick in the arcade that amused you, something about being totally out of place and totally out of Eddie’s league.
Eddie stashed the change in his pocket, holding out a few quarters that you tentatively took from his hand.
“What first, princess?” You looked at him with a judgmental expression, causing him to narrow his eyes critically, “Come on, this’ll be fun.”
“Sure…” You looked around and assessed the arcade, pointing at the nearest cabinet without any consideration, “That one.”
Eddie huffed out a laugh at your choice while shaking his head, knowing you didn’t care one bit what game you started with, “Dig Dug, huh?”
You made another face at him, so he simply rolled his eyes and led you towards the game. He leaned against the cabinet while crossing his arms, giving you an expectant look; in turn, your brow scrunched.
Eddie shrugged, “Well, go for it - this one was your idea.”
“I don’t want to.” You responded as if affronted by the suggestion, “You play.”
Eddie once again rolled his eyes with an exacerbated grin, “I don’t play Dig Dug.”
“Then play something else.” You instructed stubbornly.
“You aren’t getting out of this one.” Eddie countered, motioning towards the cabinet he still rested against, “So, be a big girl and play the game.”
You gaped at his response, feeling a slight stir at his word choice. There was a challenging glint in his eyes that suggested he wasn’t going to back down easily, that he could volley with you all damn day. As you closed your mouth with a small purse to your lips, you looked around the arcade with a raised brow.
“I don’t want to play that one.” You crossed your arms, to which Eddie once more smirked at your stubborn determination.
“Then choose a different one.” He responded while mimicking your body language.
You narrowed your eyes at him before your gaze studied the rows of arcade cabinets, recognizing none of the names. This was something you were grossly uneducated on, arcades making just about as much sense to you as a foreign language. It wasn’t until you finally recognized the name of one that you allowed yourself to meet Eddie’s stare again.
“Okay. That one.” You once again pointed past his shoulder, so Eddie twisted around to see which cabinet finally caught your interest. A faint laugh escaped him as he looked back to you with an amused expression across his face.
“Oh, you wouldn’t like Donkey Kong.” His tone seemed to be daring you to argue, to prove him wrong. You pulled another face at him.
“I don’t like any of these. But I’ve seen that stupid monkey before.” Eddie shrugged in acceptance of your response as he continued to grin, pushing off the Dig Dug cabinet.
“If you insist.” He taunted while turning to walk towards Donkey Kong, you following behind him with a huff. But as you were nearly there, the gang of college kids beat you to it, causing both you and Eddie to halt; he began to turn to you, prepared to ask what the new plan was now that the one cabinet you showed interest in was taken.
Of course, you weren’t about to have that. Sure, you didn’t care an ounce about these video games and you had zero interest in actually playing, but you’d already had enough today, and you’d be damned if you let these guys play Donkey Kong instead of you. So, you brushed past Eddie with a determined look, marching up to them with all the authority in the world.
“Excuse you,” You started rudely, drawing all their eyes in your direction. None of the three really looked like the nerdy type, so none of them backed down from you the way that you were used to, “I’m playing that one.”
They shared a laugh, clearly amused by your attempt to intimidate them. One of the boys countered, “You’re outta luck, we were here first.”
You insisted more firmly, “Just move.”
One of them looked between you and Eddie, provoked by your attitude, “There’s a whole arcade, go find something else to play.”
They returned to the arcade cabinet as if you weren’t even there, which pissed you off even more. You groaned loudly, looking at Eddie and pointing harshly at the boys as if there was something he could possibly do about them. He simply shook his head and grabbed your elbow, lightly tugging you along.
“They beat us to it.” He said as if there was some unspoken arcade rule that you weren’t familiar with. You glared at the boys as Eddie led you down the row, grinning as if to calm you down, “Come on, I got something I think you’ll like.”
“Doubtful.” You countered like a child, catching the way Eddie smiled to himself, both amused and enervated by your attitude. The two of you came to a halt in front of something called Tapper, and you glanced up at Eddie, awaiting an explanation.
“This one’s easy,” he started while presenting the cabinet to you, “Just serve drinks.”
“Okay…” You took in the pixelated graphics on the screen, hesitantly holding up a coin as you considered the game.
“Come on, just give it a try.” Eddie urged. You looked at the simple instructions next to the joystick while finally loading the coin into the machine. As the game began, Eddie turned his attention to the next cabinet over.
Eddie was right about this game being easy, at least for the first few rounds, although once you reached the first “game over” screen you groaned with frustration. That didn’t stop you from inserting another coin and trying again, much to Eddie’s amusement. You were getting the hang of this and, although you weren’t ready to admit it, you were coming to even enjoy Tapper.
Eventually, you ran out of coins, so you returned your attention to Eddie, who had been caught up in his own game. You watched him for a few moments before realizing the college boys were no longer at the Donkey Kong cabinet. Although you shouldn’t have cared so much, you nonetheless felt a sudden eagerness to run over and hog the game you previously missed out on. Hell, you didn’t even know what that game was about, but considering your previous snub, you now simply had to play this damn game.
So, you turned your gaze back to Eddie, who was incredibly focused on the shooting game he was in the middle of, “Donkey Kong is open.”
“So, go play.” He responded with a far off tone, clearly caught up in what he was doing.
“I don’t have any coins.”
In an almost silly motion, Eddie nudged his hip in your direction, “I have some in my pocket.”
You looked down towards his hips, wondering why he didn’t simply pull his hand from the game for a moment to give you a few coins.
Impatiently, his eyes flicked over to you for only a moment; he could tell what you were thinking, “Just reach in and grab a few.”
“Uh, no.” Your voice oozed with attitude.
“Then no Donkey Kong.” He replied with a simple shrug. With a slight glare, you looked between his face and the screen, watching his hectic game for a few long moments. Your gaze drifted back towards Donkey Kong with a mild longing, but you quickly righted yourself - you did not care that much about a stupid arcade game. You could wait until Eddie was done, you didn’t need to play it that bad.
The sound of the front door opening drew your attention as a new man entered the arcade, and your first thought was “shit, is he going to play Donkey Kong?” Why the hell did you care so much? But you couldn’t risk missing out on the game again, so you returned your attention back to Eddie, taking him by total surprise as you reached into his pocket and extracted a handful of coins quickly before you could think about how intimate that action was.
“Jesus, warn a guy before you go digging around in his pants.” Eddie chided with a playful grin, not allowing his gaze to stray from the shooter in front of him.
“Shut up.” You countered while marching towards Donkey Kong, determination etched across your face as you relished in the stupid victory of finally being about to play this damn game.
Of course, you very quickly learned why Eddie had told you before that you wouldn’t like Donkey Kong. Your dumb little man in overalls lost all his lives within the first minute of you playing, and you let out an exasperated sigh as you slapped your hand down on the control panel. With a glare, you loaded another coin in, but due to your frustration you died even quicker than you had the first time, letting out another upset sound before you marched away from Donkey Kong as if the game had personally offended you.
Eddie was still focused on Robotron as you returned to his side with a huff, the sound causing the corner of his mouth to pull up. You glared at his face, “That game is stupid.”
“I told you.” He answered simply, amused by how easily you gave up on it.
“Why doesn’t it work?”
“Have you considered that you’re just bad at it?” Eddie’s eyes briefly look at you, that annoying grin of his not faltering for a moment. Your glare darkened as you turned to walk off, but Eddie’s voice stopped you from going anywhere, “Oh, come on, just wait. I’ll show you how to play the stupid monkey game.”
So, you waited impatiently for Eddie’s game to end, your eyes repeatedly drifting over to Donkey Kong as if in fear that someone else would take the machine from you. Once he was finally done with Robotron, Eddie gave you a teasing look, knowing that you were eager to return to the game that you supposedly didn’t like. With an adamant look, you spun around and marched back towards the machine, knowing that he was following right behind you.
“Just watch, I’ll play the first level for you.” Eddie instructed while loading in the money. He craned his neck back and forth, shaking out his arm as if he were warming up for some epic fight; you nearly smiled, but kept it to yourself. You leaned over Eddie’s shoulder a little as he began, “You have to be fast - this machine has a bit of a lag, so you need to think ahead.”
So, you watched Eddie play, annoyed at just how easy he made it look; evidently, he had a fair amount of practice. And with the first level completed in what appeared to be record time, Eddie stepped back, yanking you quickly in front of the screen to take over the controls. Just as quickly as the level started, though, you lost a life, jumping right into the line of a pixelated enemy. A frustrated noise left you, causing Eddie to laugh from behind you.
“You’ve got two more lives,” He stepped up closer to you, reaching around to put his hand over the jump button, “Lemme help.”
Working together, you managed to make a little bit of progress, but you all too quickly lost again, shoving the joystick in the wrong direction. As you huffed in annoyance once more, Eddie placed his free hand on the small of your back as if to remind you to calm down, the touch nearly causing you to jump from its gentleness.
“Okay, new plan.” Eddie stepped behind you, close enough that your back bumped against his chest. Your shoulders stiffened as he settled his hands on top of yours, your heart skipping as you realized you were pinned between him and the stupid Donkey Kong machine. Thank god he was behind you, because otherwise he would’ve seen the way your cheeks went red, the way your eyes widened with surprise.
You could feel Eddie’s breath against your ear, practically causing you to shudder, “Alright, let’s do this.”
As the level started again, you were grateful that Eddie was taking the reins, controlling your hands with his own, because your brain was way too jumbled to think clearly. Why the hell were you so nervous? How was Eddie Munson doing this to you? You were certain it had more to do with your disdain for people touching you, but you were far too confused to even begin to entertain why you felt so anxious with Eddie practically flush against your back.
You were so zoned out that you hadn’t even realized that the level was complete until Eddie stepped back, a victorious little laugh escaping him. Before you had time to even get your head on straight, the third level began, but you all too quickly fumbled, your game coming to a pathetic end. Composing yourself, you meet Eddie’s eyes with total coolness, hoping that the redness of your cheeks had gone away. His expression didn’t seem to indicate that he noticed anything off about you, so you took a deep breath.
“Help me again.” You instructed as you fished a coin from your pocket. Eddie looked mildly surprised by the instruction, as if he too was just realizing how intimate his assistance was the first time. You simply raised a brow at him while loading the machine with money, straightening your shoulders as he came up behind you once again.
You tried to focus on the game this time as Eddie placed his hands on top of yours again, doing your best to ignore how warm he was behind you, the way his cheek brushed against the crown of your head, how his grip on your hands seemed to be a little bit more firm. You took a couple of deep breaths and focused, approaching this the same way you did skating - with attentiveness to the goal. And your goal was to ignore Eddie and actually beat a level of this god damn monkey game.
So, you watched your little man run and jump across the screen studying the timing as Eddie moved your hands with his own, noting the subtle delay between the control command and the character movement on the screen. Even as you began to understand, you still recognized that it wasn’t going to be easy for you to beat as a total novice to gaming. As the first level came to an end, Eddie began to step back, his hands hovering just over yours, but you turned your head quickly, practically bumping foreheads as he stopped pulling away.
“Wait, one more round.” You instructed, his face so close to yours that you practically went cross-eyed trying to meet his gaze. You saw Eddie’s jaw clench slightly before you faced forward again, his hands settling on top of yours once way.
By the time you two completed the second level, you were grinning triumphantly, satisfied that you were winning, even if only because Eddie was helping you. As the screen went black for a brief moment, you glanced at the content expression of Eddie behind you, feeling his chin move against your head as he, too, smiled largely.
Instead of pulling away, Eddie asked simply, “One more?”
You hummed in agreement as the third level started, once more studying Eddie’s timing as he breezed through the game as if he’d played it a hundred times. For all you knew, he probably had. Just like with his guitar, Eddie’s hands moved with expertise, guiding yours with ease as you two once again completed the course on screen. This time, you let Eddie step back, feeling a little nervous as you realized you had to face Donkey Kong alone again. You also felt a very mild wave of disappointment, but you quickly shoved that aside so you could focus on your game.
But, of course, you struggled without Eddie’s assistance, fumbling the jump time and losing a life. You took a deep breath through your nose as you tried to focus, feeling Eddie’s gaze burning into you as the level started over. You tried to ignore the intensity of his stare as you started again, running through the level as fast as you could. You managed to get much farther than before, but you nonetheless made another mistake.
You looked towards Eddie, prepared to ask him for help, but he shut you down before you got a word out, “Oh no, you wanted to play this, remember? I can’t keep playing for you.”
You pouted only for a moment, returning your attention to the screen, trying and failing once more to beat the game. You threw your head back with an annoyed groan, stepping away from Donkey Kong while crossing your arms.
“I don’t see why people play this stupid game, it’s impossible.” You whined, causing Eddie to laugh while rolling his eyes.
“That’s the point - it’s challenging. You can’t be a winner all the time.” He teased while dipping his head down closer to yours, seeing right through your frustrations. To Eddie, it was obvious that you weren’t used to losing, and he loved how worked up you were getting over an arcade game of all things.
“If I’m not going to win, then I don’t want to play.” You countered childishly, your eyebrow raised as if daring him to comment on that. You spun on your heel and began to walk away from the offensive game cabinet, hearing Eddie following behind you.
“That’s part of the fun, ya know.” He started. You half expected him to sling his arm over your shoulders as he normally did, but this time he refrained, as if all that contact during Donkey Kong was just a little too much for one day. You threw him a look.
“Well, it’s not fun for me.” You weren’t sure where the hell you were walking off to considering that there wasn’t anywhere in the Palace to hide, but you were too caught up in simply being stubborn. Eddie laughed, rolling his eyes with a hint of fondness as he lightly snagged your arm and stopped you. You met eyes, Eddie grinning at your attitude that he was quickly becoming accustomed to.
“You say that now, but I guarantee you’ll be asking me to bring you back.” He teased, receiving a small glare from you in response. He shook his head a little, “Let’s go, your pouting is making this no fun.”
You could tell Eddie was just taunting you, so you gave his shoulder a small shove while pulling away from his hold. You wouldn’t dare admit that you actually had some fun, so instead you began for the exit, your tone nonchalant as you responded, “Thank god, if I stay here any longer the nerds might try to convert me.”
Behind you, Eddie shook his head fondly as he followed you out.

POOKS I HAVE AN IDEA
Ahem...yandere aiden, logan, tyler n ash or whoever u want w WEAK READER N YK THEY R PRETTY OVERPROTECTIVD OF HER WHY? bc she is fragile af-- always manage to get herself injured in the most dunb ways possible n how tf is she gonna manage to survive in this realm? She needs them ‼️‼️
𝕭𝖗𝖚𝖙𝖆𝖑 𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖞 // School Bus Graveyard
TW: Yandere themed, NO NSFW, gore/injuries mentioned, fragile!female!reader who is paranoid and anxious, AU explanation-wise writing? It’s kind of short but it’s like an explanation what my SBG x reader AU is;;u ;
You don’t know how you even ended up here in this situation…. Restless sleep, insomnia, hallucinations,— Ah… Who am I kidding? You knew exactly what was happening and it all started way back when you were ordered to tutor around the new students. Being the one who wasn’t new, it was hard to keep a conversation with them because….. One would keep her distance away, one would be thrilled to nag the girl who distanced away, the twins didn’t give a damn, and… Ben and Logan were probably the only ones who ever offered to listen to you.
However despite those hours you eventually got to bond with them, all because of… Well…. You tripping down the stairs all of the sudden until Ashlyn caught you. And that’s where the spark happened… That’s what clicked in Ashlyn’s mind to suddenly want to protect you, with you in her arms looking hopeless and defenseless. The group claimed you as their pink princess but, you didn’t thought much of it….
And why they even bother to call you that, you still felt loved at least by your friends.
But… Every time you walk home after hanging out with them, especially on that trip, your hands wouldn’t stop shaking. The thought of that hideous creature behind Ashlyn…. You haven’t left your house since then, and gave excuses to your teacher even for him to understand.
You’ve never felt anything weird like this before… The ones you are looking to avoid were mostly creepy men, or just in general a group of people who you think could possibly bully you, or take advantage.
So why? Why did you suddenly have to endure horror?
❝[NAME]!!!❞
You’ve impaled yourself on accident by trying to get away from a monster, you’ve tripped and fallen into a dark void where you died by the fall, you even somehow died by trying to save Tyler, but you ended up dying anyways! It was getting so… So much harder…
You’ve gotten injured. Over, and over, and over again. It’s pissing Ashlyn, Aiden, Tyler— everyone off. It was as if they saw life flash before their eyes…. And while you’re alive in the real world, with no scratches or injuries, they couldn’t afford to lose you again. To make you hopeless, to make you unable to walk.
It was another dream, another dream where suddenly you’re locked in the bird cage Aiden had somehow decided to buy… You stared confused, yearning for an explanation…. But the boys and girls wouldn’t give you any.
❝Guys..? Please… I thought we were a team..❞
❝Princess… We are! We swear…! Please don’t take it badly! We’re doing this for your own good…❞
You couldn’t really argue with them. You’re just tired and you have been unable to get proper sleep… You suppose it’s okay but… It wasn’t getting better as you thought it would. Despite dreams having you only locked up every now and then, in the morning in reality- you are FOLLOWED constantly by either the twins, Ashlyn, Aiden, or Ben… Logan? Probably cameras in your house (not your bedroom or bathroom) to ensure you made it home safely.
It’s getting out of hand. It’s going bizarre, but are you doing something about it? NO! Their parents scares you! You don’t want to break your friendship either… You knew how easily broken they’d be… And… You don’t want to handle or deal with Aiden’s family, nor do you wanna karate with Ashlyn’s mother. You can’t even fight!
So the only thing you could do was just… Accept it as it is. And let it be… Although you probably aren’t aware that the parents adores you, finding you so sweet and matchable for their little children. You don’t pay attention to that, all you could focus on were your eyebags and your injured body…. There wasn’t anything, reality-wise, but God it stung that you could barely make it through school. Even though I kind of said you give excuses…. You still had to do exams for at least collage….
Don’t take them wrong, they’d love for you to stay safe and to not join the horror attraction… But also, after the reveal when the parents could also see the demonic creatures, it instantly clicks that you weren’t safe. Nor were your parents. (Don’t give a damn about your parents, they don’t like them)
They need you. They constantly need you. They can’t have you out of your cage, but they can’t have you out of the dreams as well…. Which considers leading it to having you as some sort of a motivation. They need you to support them for everything they do.
So when the parents are going into that situation, it’s best to believe they NEED you with them so nobody in reality can kidnap you while they’re asleep…. Fighting off monsters, you know?
And the shady guys? Do not worry a single thing about them at all.
I mean, what more could you possibly do than to be stuck in your own bedroom or classroom? You’re going nowhere near the stores or arcade. Not after that Logan incident, that is….

Hey! I just started reading your stuff, and I love it! I just saw a video where a lady pranked her hubs by covering her face in glue and letting it dry without him seeing, and then peeling it off in front of him. He was horrified because it looked like she was peeling off dead skin in huge pieces, and she was telling him that this was a normal thing for women and it happened every month, just normally at night when she was in the bathroom getting ready for bed. It was hilarious! How would some of the male characters react to this? You can choose who and how many, but I would totally love to see Sanemi the most! Bonus points if S/O throws a piece of it at him at some point or asks him to help her get a piece that she "can't see to get it properly".
Vid is on insta by the user thecrazyhillbillygaming, if you wanna see it :)
Please, and thank you; whether you decide to do it or not!
Shedding skin prank
You told your hashira that women shed and peel their skin monthly, as a joke. He of course didn’t believe you at first until you demonstrated.
Pairing: Sanemi, Kyojuro, Gyomei, Giyu x fem!reader
Here’s a video depicting the prank for reference! (TikTok)
Sanemi Shinazugawa
He liked watching you do your morning routines. You wash your face, brush your teeth, sometimes invite him to shower, make your hair all pretty and do some skincare and a little make up. Sanemi asks questions about your products and what they do, sometimes testing them out on his hands and face. He’s got pretty dry skin and your cremes and oils help him out, so he likes to sit close to you and listen to your explanations to wich product does what. That’s where you told him about the skin-shedding thing.
“What? Nah, women don’ do that. I would’ve noticed.”
Sanemi grew up with sisters and a mother, and they never shed their faces. Neither does Mitsuri or Shinobu, so you’re probably just joking or straight up lying to him. He rolled his eyes at you and went to the bathroom to take a shower, since you insisted on taking one on your own this morning. Your husband was taking his sweet time going through your shampoo and checking wich one he usually secretly uses for his own. That gave you enough time to apply a thin layer of glue onto your cheek and let it dry. Now all you have to do is wait.
Sanemi left the shower after half an hour with a towel wrapped around his waist. He plopped down right next to you, ruffling his damp hair. Your husband glanced over to you, seeing how your skin looked weirdly tight and… loose? You had to contain a giggle after seeing his expression.
“What is that? Is that your skin?”
Your husband pointed at your cheek and reached out to nip and peel it. You slapped his hand away, peeling off your fake skin yourself, slowly, making sure he’s watching. Sanemi stared at you, his eyes threatened to fall out. He hesitantly scooted away from you.
“Is that some kinds period thing? Do you do that every month? Does it hurt? Why didn’t ya tell me before?!”
He went through all stages of grief seeing you peel your own skin off so easily without a care. Then, you suddenly pulled it all off and threw it onto his lap. Sanemi almost screamed and jumped out from his seat, scrambling away, leaving his towel behind and flashing you with all his glory. He grunted at you, grabbing his towel and hitting you with it. Don’t scare him like that, damnit! And keep your skin to yourself! He’ll be very upset at you for joking around like that. He almost died from a heart attack after you threw your “skin” at him, Sanemi would’ve made sure you’d go to jail for murdering your husband. Even in death he’ll go for revenge, so never do that again. Ever.
“You stupid, gluing your skin like that. Just for a damn joke. Tch.”
Kyojuro Rengoku
He’d be very concerned. Kyojuro never saw his mother’s skin behave like that, or ever heard about women shedding, but if you need any help, just ask him! He’ll happily get you whatever you need; medicine, snacks or just bedrest. Your husband has no idea on what to do, so he’ll just curiously watch. He has fidgeting with his fingers while hovering around you, stuffing some eggrolls into his mouth for breakfast, but he could barely keep them down.
“Love, ah… do you need help… peeling.. your skin?”
Kyojuro, bless his heart, was trying very hard to be helpful to your situation. He’s extremely worried about your health and is debating whether or not he should inform Shinobu about this. On one hand, if it really is a woman thing, he’ll embarrass himself in front of the insect hashira, but on the other hand, maybe you have some kind of deadly skin condition. He barely finished his breakfast when you turned to him and held the piece of loose skin right against his face. Your husband jumped out of his seat and dropped the rest of his meal onto the floor, his eyes wide and horrified. His confusion only grew after you started giggling st his reaction, throwing your skin aside.
You were joking. Joking. You are not dying and it was just glue.
“Flame, my breakfast…”
Kyojuro was mourning over his dropped and unfinished meal that was now decorating your bedroom floor. He was silently picking up the remnants, pondering over why you were joking about something like that. He was so worried about you! Your husband was already seeing all kinds of worst scenarios in his mind and all of them ended with him cradling your weak and sickly body. Your soft hand on his back pulled him back out of these thoughts. You saw how much this harmless joke of yours scared Kyojuro more than it made him laugh.
“Kyo, I really didn’t mean to scare you like that. I’m really sorry.”
He smiled faintly at you as his face started to brighten up a little again.
“It’s alright my love! I forgave you already. But can you make me another eggroll? I dropped my last one.”
Kyojuro held out his smooshed eggroll to you and smiled expectantly at you like a child would after asking for a treat.
“And a kiss maybe as well?”
Gyomei Himejima
Your husband held his hand out to you expectantly, like you instructed him to. He heard you move closer and suppress something similar to a giggle, then, he felt a thin layer of something drop onto his hand. Gyomei didn’t recognise the texture and explored it with one of his fingers, brushing over it.
“My pearl, what am I holding?”
“My shedded skin.”
“Your… Could you repeat that?”
Now, Gyomei never really saw any women. So, how is he suppose to know that they apparently shed their skin every month? He never asked so you never told him. He was silently holding your shedded skin on his hand, his face turned towards no one in particular. Then, Gyomei turned to you, years running down his face. Your husband was curious about your apparent shedding, but mostly worried.
“Does it hurt, dear? I can ask Shinobu if she has anything to quicken the process or make it painless.”
He threw your fake skin into the bin and carefully started to investigate your face by caressing your soft skin and checking for any shedding. Of course, Gyomei didn’t find any other patches. You cupped his face and started to wipe his tears, stifling another giggle while watching his bewildered face soften up with your touch. You kissed the top of his nose.
“I’m sorry, I was just joking. It was dried glue.”
A deep sigh escaped his lips. He nodded quietly and placed his large hands over your smaller ones.
“I see. I do admit you surprised me. You’re very mischievous. I will return this favour someday.”
Giyu Tomioka
Giyu was watching you from the bathroom, leaning against the frame, when he caught you peeling off a large chunk of skin. His eyes got wide and he quickly hid back inside the bathroom. Was he supposed to see that? Why did you peel off your skin? Do you have some kind of condition? He leaned out of the bathroom and glanced at you again. You threw your skin aside carelessly. He jumped slightly and finally stepped inside the bedroom, walking up behind you. Your husband picked up the piece of skin and held it in front of your face.
“What is that?”
“It’s my skin. I’m shedding.”
Giyu closed his eyes and quickly dropped the piece of skin. He swallowed hard before opening his eyes and facing you again. You pointed at a loose piece of skin on your cheek and smiled innocently.
“Can you help me peel it off?”
Your husband’s eyes widened. He wanted to be a good and helpful husband, so his hand hesitantly reached out to your cheek. Giyu hesitated and stared at it, before quickly pulling it away.
“No, no. Sorry. No.”
He threw his hands into the air and turned his body away from you and stormed back into the bathroom. Giyu was hiding away from the sight of your skin peeling off your face, his mind flooding with all kinds of imagines. He shook his head before flinching hard after he felt your hand on hid back. Your husband turned his head to you, his eyes widening again. You were holding a piece of your skin directly against his face. All the colour drained from his face and he jumped away, holding his hands up to keep you at bay. He pointed his index finger at you.
“Do not dare-“
You chased him around the bathroom and bedroom, waving around the piece of dried glue, making Giyu believe it was your shedded skin. After finding out it was just some joke, he refrained from cuddling you all night. It was a very cold night, so it was extra cruel towards you, but your husband wanted to show that he does not like being toyed like that.

Mother’s Day Blues
John ‘Soap’ MacTavish x Reader
Word Count: ~900 unedited
Johnny loves Mother’s Day. You hate it.
MDNI | cw: vent fic, big mommy issues, mentioned childhood spanking, ED mention
Johnny loves Mother’s Day.
You hate it.
He watches you stand in the card aisle, shifting side to side, reading every single card. Snatching them up and shutting them hard just to shove them back into their little displays - huffing and growing ever more agitated as you go.
“It doesnnae matter what ye pick, bonnie.” He tries to be encouraging. “They’re all nice.”
“That’s the problem.” You mutter in a voice far too weak and bitter for his liking. “Why can’t they make one that just says, like, ‘You sure are my mom!’”
“Sweetheart…” Johnny knows you’re trying to cover it with humor, but the way your brow furrows breaks his heart. He sets a hand on your waist, pointing to a very generic, sparkly joke card. You nod and take it, grimacing still.
He hates it - hates watching you chew your lip and your hands shake while you pace back and forth before the 10 am alarm you set to call your mom goes off. Hates holding you while you sob in his lap after because of course she had to ask in a pathetic, whiny voice ‘is everything okay with us’ when she knows damn well it isn’t. When she won’t ever try to fix it or admit that she fucked up.
You carry the effects of the way she raised you everywhere you go. Johnny sees them all - knows them all by heart. Every time he notices you cutting portions and weighing yourself more than normal. When you use cruel words to describe your body. Every time you don’t tell him that you’re upset with him because you’re frightened of his reaction - body shaking so hard that you look like an earthquake personified. The lack of confidence in your interactions with others, how easily you fold and are ready to people please. Every time you get that glazed over, far away look in your eye after you remember something a little too clearly.
You only took him to meet her once. He’s never wanted to punch a woman like that before.
Johnny is, and always has been, of the opinion that you should cut contact. Cold turkey. Block her on everything and leave it be. You’ve argued about it more times than he can count, going back and forth about what would happen if you did. What the worst outcome could be.
“It’s not like she hit me…” You mutter.
“Spankin’ is hittin’, love.” Johnny takes your hands. “And it doesnnae matter if she did or not. She was rotten tae ye in every other way.”
You just get quiet. Tears well up in your eyes and what is he supposed to do when you get like that? Keep fighting? No, never. It’s your decision anyway. He just hates what she does to you and, by extension, how it effects your relationship with his mother.
Every time you visit is perfectly cordial. His mum loves you - sees you as her own. You’re Johnny’s after all. Her only son. You want to love her. You really, really do but when she says ‘I love you’ it feels like you’re going to die. Every time she hugs you he can see the way your shoulders tense up by your ears and your lips purse.
They’ve talked about it. Johnny and his mum. The horrified look she gave him when he told her only the little he knew at the time was more than enough. Bless her. She made it her goal to be the perfect mother-in-law. Never overbearing, never too needy. To love you quietly and meet you where you’re at.
He’s cried over it a few times - though he’d never admit it - watching her treat you with the gentle hands and words you deserve. It breaks his heart as you try to figure out what to do with it.
Johnny has known he wants to marry you for a long time. You’ve both talked about it, both made it known that you’re fully committed to one another forever. It’s just hard to plan a proposal when he isn’t sure how long he’ll be in town. He got the ring months ago and has just been holding onto it for the right time. So, in the end, he decides to be a bit spontaneous with it. His whole family is going on a beach day, and you look so pretty in your little cover up dresses.
His little nieces and nephews gladly help him set up a little path leading to a circle of flowers. His sister brings her big, fancy camera to take pictures while his other sister hints at you to wear something cute and invited you to get your nails done a week before.
Thank god you’re one of the most oblivious people on the planet.
Of course you say yes, tackling him down into the sand while you both cry. He knew you’d say yea but it still fills his heart to bursting. He buries his face in your neck to hide it, but he can’t stop it. You’re his, always and forever.
As the family congratulates and talks, his mother finally comes up and tenderly takes both your hands in hers.“Welcome to the family, love. It’s so nice to have another daughter.”
Johnny freezes, watching for your reaction.
Your eyes turn to saucers, a quiet hiccup shaking your chest before a full on sob follows. You bury your face in your hands and she wraps her arms around your shoulders. Johnny grabs onto you both.
She might not be your mum by blood, and you may never truly open up to her, but either way you deserve a good mother. He’s more than happy to share his own. Maybe someday you’ll heal. Little by little, by the same gentle hands that raised him.
A/N: Sorry for the angst but Mother’s Day has me fucked up.

You are who you eat
Dexter Morgan x Reader
Word count: 1.8k
Summary: You continue sending dexter treats as he tries (and fails) to find out your identity.
Part 3
Previous | Next
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
Dexter never could’ve imagined things in his life getting any worse than they already had, but life was cruel so of course it did. Rita had ended things with him after finding out about the overnight trip he took with Lila, just as he thought maybe there was a better future for him with Lila she went absolutely psycho and nearly got him killed by the same man who killed his mother, Lundy and his team were far too close to catching him than he was comfortable with, and Dexter still had no clue who this secret admirer who knew too much was that had continued to send him baked goods and notes. Despite all that the admirer that knew too much was likely the only thing that hadn’t been stressing him out as of late, surprisingly that is. Unlike everyone else they weren’t prying into his life or trying to control him, as far as he knew at least, rather it seemed they were simply interested in learning more and forming a friendship of sorts. One of mutual understanding as in one of their notes he had come to learn they also had unique after-hour hobbies, and from what they were letting on they had a code similar to his own. All of this only made Dexter even more curious about who this admirer was, unconsciously he craved to be understood by someone after what happened with his brother. It was all too perfect, especially if this admirer followed similar rules as he did maybe he would have a true friend that could understand him entirely. Dexter hadn’t realized it yet but he grew obsessed with the idea and spent each day eagerly waiting for another note and baked good, he had to admit that whoever this admirer was they were a damn good baker. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the attention, especially with the thrill of it being from someone like-minded. Even though it made his heart race when he received a note revealing they knew he was the Bay Harbor Butcher, Dexter nearly collapsed when he read it but it gave him an odd thrill that someone had so easily found him out and despite that continued to admire him from afar. Not to mention they flirted with him as well, Dexter would give anything to find out who this was but for now, he had hit a wall and could only wait for them to reveal themselves.
Admittedly, Dexter was a bit hesitant about this new love interest but considering how easy things were with them compared to the complex mess he had to deal with when it came to Lila and Rita. It wasn’t hard for him to warm up to the idea. Things with Rita were awkward and she kept pushing him away despite his explanations, and Lila had proven to be outright psychotic her actions only growing more and more outrageous. He needed someone mentally stable and less emotionally demanding, but also someone who understands him like this admirer. Something neither Lila nor Rita could do for him. Speaking of the devil, as Dexter starts to leave the department he frowns upon hearing Lila’s voice. He turns to see her surrounded by his coworkers laughing happily, if she couldn’t get through to him apparently she would go through to his friends.
“Ahah! Looks who’s come out of his cave?”
“Lila, what are you doing here?”
“She came to see me, bro.” Angel butted in with a proud grin on his face.
“Angel mentioned that he needed a decorator and well, a slot just opened up so I gave him a call.”
“I’ve always wanted a decorator,” Angel said with a grin his eyes glued onto Lila, Dexter pulled him off to the side away from the group, trying to warn him.
“Angel come here… she’s not really a decorator.”
“It’s not really my apartment that I want decorated.” Before Dexter could continue Lila came up behind them wrapping her arms over their shoulders.
“So hey, the boys here have persuaded me to go for a drink.”
“Or ten,” Angel playfully added and Dexter just stared back at him.
“Oh god, should I be worried?”
“Yes, you should,” Dexter said flatly as his eyes met Lilas but she only grinned and rubbed his nose with hers.
“Then maybe you should come with us, because who knows what secrets will come pouring out of me once the drinks start flowing.” She said as she entered the elevator but at the same time, an officer from another department stepped out, her brows furrowing slightly when she saw Dexter.
“Dexter Morgan? This is for you, and you better not break her heart got it?” The officer said narrowing her eyes as she handed him a cute mini drawstring bag of cookies with a note inside the bag rather than in one of the cookies, which was new.
No matter how complex the dessert they’d always managed to place it inside the goodie so maybe this note was something different. Dexter tucked the cookies into his pocket as he entered the elevator, which was when he realized Lila saw all of that. Dexter didn’t like the fact she had, because with the unstable behavior she was already showing who knows how she would react to more competition. Dexter glanced over at her and he could see the anger in her eyes and knew that this wasn’t going to end well.
★ ✮ ★
I was in the lobby just chatting with Jackie before she left work for the day, our idle small talk was just a cover so that I could maybe catch a glimpse of Dexter. To my surprise, he seemed less on guard about my notes, and I had a few guesses as to why. Primarily I assumed he finally realized I wasn’t a threat and had grown impartial to my notes, which meant it wasn’t fun for me anymore. It’s a tiny bit of a shame but I guess it is time to bring our game to an end, certainly glad I did something different with my note today. I had given him a note with a time, date, and place. We’d both had enough of the games and it was about time that we finally met.
Speaking of Dexter I watch as he and his team from homicide exit the elevator with a certain ‘skanky vampire’, according to Debra at least. The whole group was magnetized towards her, except Dexter who kept a very noticeable distance between them, pretty privilege is real but I guess there’s more to that pretty face from how he’s acting. Again our eyes met briefly for a moment and I just politely smiled and returned to my conversation, no need to raise any suspicion from him just yet. I watch out the corner of my eye as they leave the building, and of course, Jackie has to butt in.
“So how long are you going to do this secret admirer act, tits up and ask him out already!”
“Well you’re in luck I just did, I gave him some cookies and a note asking him to meet me somewhere.”
“Hooray! Oh my god please call me afterward and tell me all about it, don’t you dare leave out a single detail!” She said with an eager grin clapping her hands.
“I promise will, anyways I should probably get back to work. Drive home safely okay?”
She nodded and waved me off and we parted ways, I headed back into our office as I had been called in to do overtime. The system had been semi-frequently going haywire and they needed all computers working for whatever case they had begun to crack, though from the FBI agents lingering in the building much later than usual it wasn’t hard to guess which department had a breakthrough. I headed down to where the servers were to check on them, it was a short walk and I said a few goodbyes as others turned in for the night. Once I got to the room everything seemed to be in place but I double-checked anyway, and unfortunately for me, it seemed like a critter or two had gotten inside and had been nibbling away at the wires. I wrapped some electrical tape over the exposed parts of the wires as a temporary fix until I could call for pest control, but this meant I would have to replace some of the wires and disconnect some departments from the system. It wasn’t urgent though, the wires were still working as needed and as long as they didn’t chew through any wires things should be fine.
After handling the mess downstairs I started on a few miscellaneous tasks around the building, there wasn’t much for me to do which is why I hated being called in for overtime just in case something happened. I sighed as I spun around in my desk chair bored out of my mind, I had done literally everything I could at this hour. I even filed the paperwork for all the requests I’ve completed, even though doing so had made me drowsier than I already was. I decided to get some coffee to wake myself up, I stood and left the office and decided to head up to homicide. The FBI had been staying late so it was likely that they would have some fresh coffee I could ‘borrow’. I rode the elevator up to the next floor and casually walked into the department which was currently a ghost town minus the few agents and deputy chief conversing in the debriefing room, I just walked past them into the kitchen where thankfully there was a little bit of coffee left in the pot. I made myself a cup and leaned against the counter drinking it quietly, I hate when the station was like this. The silence always made me uncomfortable as it left me alone with my thoughts for too long, I could overthink and criticize all my actions up until this very moment with no distractions. I hated dwelling on them and always having someone I could chat with or have a conversation to eavesdrop on so that I could escape all the thoughts floating around in my head.
A welcome distraction came from Dexter Morgan and what appeared to be his FBI escorts, I watched as they brought him into the debriefing room. Thankfully the curtains were open and I could peek inside, they had Dexter sit down and were talking to him. I couldn’t make out what they were saying but it was likely about whatever was on the table in front of him, I decided to get out of there while they were still talking. I’d hate to get in trouble for snooping where I shouldn’t be, besides I think it’s almost time for me to go home anyway. As I walked out of the kitchen and passed the debriefing room I took one last glance inside, the thing they were talking about was some storage box with slides of blood inside.
“So those are your trophies….”

Wtf so I now can post long fics? Well, thanks Tumblr I guess the beef between us didn't last long. Here's the sad Arthur fic I wrote, hope you like it guys<3
arthur morgan x dutch's daughter!reader 3,9k words chapter 6 spoilers, death, violence
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
Until the last breath
Never in a thousand years would have Dutch van der Linde thought his own daughter would betray him. He would suspect anyone - recently even John or Arthur. But not [Y/n]. She was his daughter, his only child, the only thing he had left of Annabelle.
And yet there she stood - a gun in hand, pointed at her father, who had his own guns pointed at Arthur and John.
"You're on these two rats' side? That's what I get for raising you?" Dutch asked, his angry gaze fixated on his daughter. "You ungrateful brat."
"You didn't raise me!" [Y/n] countered. "Hosea was more of a father than you. To you, money has always been more important. You always had a plan to get more, and more, and more. I'd be in Tahiti if I had a dollar for every plan of yours that didn't work out."
"I gave you everything I could!"
"You gave me everything?" She had to stop herself from scoffing. "I spent my whole life trying to make you happy for once. Trying to make you proud of me. I gave my heart and my soul for this gang, and you ruined it all when you took in this rat!" Her voice started to crack, but she forced tears away. She reached for her other gun and pointed it at Micah.
Dutch asked, "You really think Micah is the reason you're turning on me?" His tone was strangely calm, too calm. "You think I never noticed the way you and Arthur were plotting something behind my back? But, of course, he didn't sneak into your tent at night just to plot. You disgust me, [Y/n]."
[Y/n]'s mouth fell slightly open as she attempted to form a sentence, and yet she wasn't able to. How did he find out? She thought her and Arthur had been sneaky enough.
"You lost your mind, Dutch," Arthur spoke up, "we were worried about you."
Dutch turned his eyes to Arthur, his anger growing at the man's comment. "I'm the one who gave all of you a home! A purpose! A damn family! And you had the nerve to get with my daughter behind my back, and turn her against me."
"All these years, Dutch..." Arthur shook his head. "Just to waste it for this snake?"
"Be quiet, Black Lung." Micah said, his gun pointed at Arthur.
"No," miss Grimshaw appeared with her rifle pointed at Micah, "you be quiet, mister Bell. And put that gun down."
It escalated in a moment. Micah pulled the trigger, sending a bullet towards miss Grimshaw. He took the last remaining mother figure [Y/n] had. Miss Grimshaw was a cold woman, but she cared for her, she cared for all the girls. And now she was dead.
But there was no time to dwell on that.
"Pinkertons are coming!" Javier ran up to the group, warning them.
"Now," Dutch spoke way too calmly for [Y/n]'s liking, "who amongst you is with me, and who is betraying me?"
"Bill, Javier, think for yourselves." Arthur spoke, but they didn't listen.
The both of them were too blinded by the doomed loyalty to Dutch. They sided with him, while Arthur was left with just [Y/n] and John. Besides them, there was also Micah and his own friends he had brought to the gang recently. They were outnumbered.
"My own flesh and blood has turned against me." Dutch concluded in a cold voice [Y/n] hadn't heard before. He had never been a good father, but now... his transformation was complete. The man who had once been a leader, had been replaced by a ghost of himself, driven by greed and paranoia
"You brought it upon yourself." [Y/n] spat.
Micah sneered, "And here I was thinking blood runs thicker than water. Seems a good fuck can change a lady's mind so easily. Wouldn't suspect that of cowpoke, but seems this day is full of surprises."
[Y/n] winced at Micah's remark. She wanted nothing more than to shoot him then and there.
And she tried to. But her hands were trembling with anger, and she missed.
"Put your guns down!" An unknown voice yelled out.
The pinkertons. They ran into the camp, or whatever was left of it, and started shooting. The Pinkertons had arrived, their shouts and gunfire piercing through the madness. The world started to crash down. [Y/n], Arthur, and John found places to use as a cover. The girl didn't even care what would happen with her father now. She had to focus on the pinkertons.
After a few minutes, when the trio knew they won't get out of it this way, John called out, "[Y/n], Arthur, into the caves!"
They didn't think twice before running inside the cave, following the gloomy and scary passages. The pinkertons ran after them and [Y/n] hoped John was leading them to some second entrance. They couldn't afford hitting a dead end.
"Micah was a rat, Milton told me." Arthur confessed as they kept running.
"We should've let him rot in that jail in Strawberry." [Y/n] thought out loud.
There was a ladder, leading them upwards. And another one, and a third one. As the surroundings started to become lighter with the outside's air, [Y/n] thought they might be getting out of that cave before the pinkertons get them.
"John," Arthur turned to his friend when the trio reached fresh air finally, "Abigail is safe, Jack too. They're with Sadie." Then he turned to [Y/n], and tried to stop a cough before speaking to her, "You, [Y/n], I want you to go and–"
"Go where?" The girl interrupted him. "Go and do what?"
"We have to separate here. John and I will go this way, you'll go join Sadie."
In the meantime, John called for their horses. Except that [Y/n]'s didn't come, which could only mean one thing.
"They killed her..." [Y/n] mused, and for a moment she couldn't fight the urge to cry. A few tears had escaped. "Now I have to go with you."
But, again, there was no more time to think. They mounted their horses, Arthur insisting [Y/n] rides with John in case they had to go separate ways. She didn't mount John's horse, she sat on the back of Arthur's. She knew that he knew there was no time to argue.
And they ran again. Ran, followed by the bullets shot by Dutch, Micah, Bill, Javier, and those men Micah brought to the gang. Dutch van der Linde was many things, and he never played the role of the father well, but even now [Y/n] was shocked to see him chasing after them, not afraid of the risk to shoot his own daughter.
When they escaped them, they kept running into the pinkertons. They seemed to be everywhere, as if they knew their next moves.
The trio tried to escape running up a mountain, but they were stopped. [Y/n] saw John falling off his horse, and no sooner the same happened to herself and Arthur.
"Buell!" The girl called out, seeing the animal lying on the ground with a bullet wound. "These motherf–"
They had to shoot now. There was no way out if they didn't kill all those pinkertons. And, fueled by the rage, [Y/n] felt as if she could shoot them all by herself. Hell, she would gladly choke all of them with her bare hands if she got the chance.
"Come on!" John called out after they have dealt with pinkertons. He knew this wouldn't last long.
[Y/n] ran up to Arthur, who was kneeling next to Buell, gently petting the horse's mane. The girl didn't even get to be with her mare when she got killed, so she had to be at least with Buell.
"Let's go!" John repeated.
"Give us a moment!" Arthur shouted back.
[Y/n] touched the horse gently and Arthur leaned over his head. This was such a heartbreaking thing to witness. Arthur received this horse from a man who had lost his leg in the war. Found him randomly in the woods, when the horse bucked him off and his leg got stuck in a stirrup. Arthur helped him and became friends, visiting from time to time. They went hunting once, and the veteran got attacked by a giant boar. With his last breath, he asked Arthur to take care of Buell. And Arthur did, until the horse's last breath, too.
With one last final, "Thank you," that Arthur whispered to Buell, they were ready to run further.
"Let's go." John said for the third time.
Arthur asked, "What about the money?"
"Money?" [Y/n] sobbed, wiping away a few last tears. "What about Micah? We have to get rid of him."
"I go down there, I'm dead in five minutes," John stated, "I have a family, that's more important."
"You're right," Arthur admitted, thinking John must be making sense for the first time in his life, "[Y/n], you go with John. I'm going back for the money."
"No, you're not." The girl protested firmly. She wasn't losing Arthur, not like that. "We go together or we don't go at all."
Arthur knew it was pointless to argue with [Y/n]. If she inherited anything from Dutch, it was the subborness.
Arthur also knew that he didn't have much longer left. He was actively dying from tuberculosis that he hasn't even told [Y/n] about yet. If soon he was going to take his last breath, he wanted [Y/n] to go, not see him like this. He had always been a tough man, he couldn't let the girl he loved more than anything in the world see him die beaten by a stupid illness. "Fine, let's go." He muttered and the trio started once again running. He had no idea how to get out of this. There was no way out for him, but he still could help [Y/n] and John.
They needed to find a higher ground, running up a mointain. It was very steep, they had to be careful. At least they knew they were safe from the bullets, for now. The pinkertons would come back to the cave, as Micah most likely told them about the money hidden inside.
"Keep, pushing, Arthur!" John said.
Arthur stopped running. He stood bent slightly, propping his arms on his knees. It seemed to [Y/n] like he has difficulty to take a breath. An expression of worry grew on her face. She knew he had some kind of sickness, but she didn't realize how serious it was until this moment.
"Arthur, let's go, we've made it so far." She said, the tears threatening to appear in her eyes once again.
"I think I've pushed all I can." Arthur admitted, coughing out some blood. He straightened his posture, being able to breathe a bit better momentarily.
John walked up to him, "We ain't got time for this."
"We ain't all gonna make it."
His words hit [Y/n] worse than any bullets. She ran up to Arthur, grabbing his arm, trying to make him step forward.
"Don't talk nonsense," she tried to pull him, but even in this state he was still stronger than her, "Arthur, I'm not going anywhere without you."
"You both go." Arthur insisted. "I'll hold them off. There ain't no more time to talk." With these words, he reached for his sachel and handed it over to John. Then, he took his hat off and placed it on [Y/n]'s head.
She knew what that mean. She knew Arthur was prepared to die. But she couldn't let him. She couldn't imagine a life without him. He truly was the love of her life, how was she supposed to keep going if he died on that mountain?
Arthur turned to [Y/n], his eyes softening as he took her face in his hands. "You need to keep going, no matter what happens. You understand?"
[Y/n] shook her head, tears welling up again. "Don't talk like that, Arthur. We're getting out of this. All three of us."
But Arthur knew better. He could feel the life slipping away from him with every breath, every step. "I need you to promise me something, [Y/n]."
"No, Arthur, no." She closed her eyes, hoping this would at least stop the tears.
"Look at me," Arthur said, gently placing his thumb on her chin and tilting her head up, "look at me, doll."
She slowly did as she was told, opening her eyes to meet his. Her heart was racing, knowing that these might be the last moments they have together. His gaze was full of love, as if in these seconds he wanted to love her for all the time he won't be able to in the future.
"You've been the light in my life, the good in me." Arthur told her.
"You've been my everything." She whispered, the lump in her throat making it difficult to speak.
"You get out of here with John. When I'm gone, you'll find a good man, one that'll give you the life you deserve. You're young, you can start a family, forget about me. I don't know what I did to deserve your love, but it's the time you bless someone worthy with it."
[Y/n] shook her head, her hands gripping Arthur's coat as if she could somehow anchor him to this world, keep him from fading away. "I'll never forget you. You're the love of my life."
"You deserve so much more than this life, [Y/n]. More than what I could ever give you. But you can still have it. You can still have everything you want, a future, a family, happiness."
But [Y/n] was stubborn, as always. "There's no future if you're not in it."
For a moment, Arthur looked as though he might break, as though he might give in to the desire to stay with her, to fight for a few more moments together. She tried to kiss him, and it took all the strenght his ill body had to stop her.
"I love you, [Y/n]," sounded his final words, "I love you more than anything in this world. But you have to go. For me. I'll love you till my last breath."
"And I'll love you until mine," that was the only thing she could promise him, "I'll never forget you."
The sound of gunshots echoed nearby, and the trio knew there was no more time. [Y/n] would trade anything to have a few more minutes with Arthur. She would walk down to Hell to speak to the Devil himself if he could grant her a bit more time.
John grabbed [Y/n], as much as it pained him, he had to drag her away. They had to run. That's what Arthur wanted.
As she was being dragged away, [Y/n] watched Arthur climb, trying to reach an even higher spot of the mountain.
"Arthur is doing this so you can live. Don't let it be for nothing." John said.
[Y/n] didn't reply. They had to make an escape, and they did so in silence, but the girl didn't even feel her own legs, she just trusted they were there. There was no life for her if Arthur died. This life had been all she knew. How she was supposed to live without the gang, and without him?
"John." She said firmly, somehow finding the strenght in herself to not cry anymore. "I'm going back there."
[Y/n] had been hit by the realization that she doesn't have anything to lose. Everything she had, she already either sacrificed or lost. Her mother, the gang, her father, her horse, and now Arthur, her Arthur.
John stopped dead in his tracks, turning around to face [Y/n]. "No, you ain't."
"I ain't got nothing to lose. Either I'll be dragging his dead body to the pearly gates and bribing the God to revive him, or I'll die there with him."
John looked into her eyes just to see fire in them. He understood her love for Arthur and her desperation to save him, and maybe he would have even done the same for Abigail. Except it was plain stupid to do such thing for a man, who was already dying.
"Damn it," John muttered, knowing he can't stop her, "you're as brave as you're stupid. The both of you."
[Y/n] took off Arthur's hat that he had given her, and passed it to John. "You're the best brother I could've had. When I die, I'll look up at you and expect to see you treating Jack and Abigail well. No more running away."
"You mean look down." He corrected her.
"Oh, I'm definitely going to Hell. And I'll be waiting for you, just wait at least fifty years." She chuckled and pulled John in for a quick hug. When they pulled away, she could see tears in his eyes. But [Y/n] wasn't going to cry, not anymore.
She had no reason to cry now. Her time was over. If Arthur was going to die, she was dying there with him, and she was ready for this. More ready than for a future without him.
"Take care of your family," [Y/n]'s last words for John sounded, "make sure they get the life they deserve. Make sure you get that life, too." And with that, she turned away and walked back to where Arthur was supposed to be.
John nodded, his throat too tight to speak. He knew he would carry this moment with him for the rest of his life. The night he had lost the two people who were like siblings to him. He had lost much more, but it didn't matter.
[Y/n] had nothing left to lose, nothing left to live for but this one last act of love. If she could save Arthur, it would be worth it. And if she couldn't... then at least they would die together, side by side, as they should have lived.
There were no more gunshots to follow, not a sound of any fight. [Y/n] climed up the rocks, finding the path where she had last seen Arthur. She saw someone walking her way, not someone who she yearned to see.
"You goddamn rat!" [Y/n] yelled as she grabbed Micah by his coat. She didn't know where she found this strenght in her body, but she managed to throw him such a powerful punch in the face that he had to take a few steps back, almost falling off a cliff.
"You just won't give up, will you?" He said, his usual malice still audible in his voice.
"Did you kill him?" She asked, pointing her gun at him.
"He's alive. Not for much longer though."
[Y/n] clenched her jaw, her grip on the gun tightening so hard her knuckles went white. She felt her anger building up inside her, threatening to explode at any moment. "I should've put a bullet in your head a long time ago."
"Come on, do it now then," he laughed, the sound getting into [Y/n]'s head as she contemplated the decision, "we both know you're too soft to do it. How can such a failure be Dutch's daughter? I bet your mama wasn't the most loyal to your daddy."
That was it, her breaking point. [Y/n] knew putting a bullet in Micah wouldn't fix what was already broken, but at least she could stop any further damage he would cause if he stayed alive.
[Y/n] pulled the trigger, aiming for Micah's head, right between his eyes. His body fell down the cliff, and [Y/n] watched that happen. She felt absolutely nothing. No remose. But also no ease. Not until she could see Arthur.
She ran towards where Micah came from. She found Arthur lying down, his upper body propped on a rock. His face was turned towards the east, looking at the sunrise, even though he had always loved the sunset.
"Arthur..." She said.
His eyes searched for the source of the sound, Arthur thought he was having hallucinations. He forced a smile on his beaten face when he saw her.
"You damn fool, [Y/n]." He said in a weak, raspy voice. Not the kind of rasp [Y/n] loved to hear in the mornings, but the one that emphasized Arthur's condition. "I told you to go with John."
"I couldn't leave you, Arthur." She said, losing all her power to not cry. She knelt down beside him, looking at his injuries. His face was full of little cuts and bruises, some blood. But he didn't seem to have gotten shot.
Tears shone in her eyes. And she must have been the most beautiful thing Arthur had ever laid his eyes on. The way the orange morning sunrays touched her face made Arthur feel butterflies in his stomach. It was way nicer to die when he had this sight in front of him. But it wasn't fair to her.
"Doll," he breathed out, "I'm dying."
"No, you're going to be fine." She stuttered, the pain in her voice betraying how delusional she was being. She couldn't accept the reality of the situation. She refused to believe that the man she loved more than anything was slipping away from her.
She took his hands in hers. His touch used to be so hot it could put the Devil to shame. But now his hands were colder than the coldest night in Colter.
"I've got tuberculosis." Arthur confessed to her finally.
"What?" A puzzled expression appeared on her face. "Since when?"
"Since I killed Thomas Downes."
[Y/n]'s heart dropped. She had heard rumors about the sickness, the way it slowly drained the life out of a person, but she never imagined that Arthur, her Arthur, had been battling it all this time. It explained so much, the coughing fits, the way he had grown weaker, more distant. And yet, he had never told her, never let on just how bad it was.
"I deserved to know." She replied, her voice cracking. "I could've helped you."
"I didn't want to worry you, doll. Didn't want you to see me like this. You deserved better than that."
"I loved you, I still do, and I would've stayed by your side no matter what. You should've told me. We could–" She choked on her words, realizing there was nothing they could've done to stop it.
A small, sad smile tugged at the corner of Arthur's lips. "You've always been too good for me, [Y/n]. I ain't ever deserved you, not really."
"Don't say that, Arthur. You deserve everything. And now you're dying here. Alone."
"I ain't alone." Arthur murmured, his voice growing weaker with every word. "You're here, right? That's all I ever needed."
She nodded, her heart breaking as she watched him struggle to keep his eyes open. The sunrise was casting a warm glow over his face, and for a moment, [Y/n] could almost pretend that they were somewhere else, somewhere safe, where they could live the life however they wanted to. Away from all the bullshit they had to go through.
But reality was cold and its walls were closing in on them. She could feel Arthur slipping away, his fingers holding onto hers weaker with each passing moment. She wanted to scream, to beg for more time, but it would be in vain.
Arthur stopped fighting the urge to close his eyes. "Promise me, doll... you'll find a way to live... without me." He could barely speak anymore, yet he managed to utter these words.
"I love you, Arthur." [Y/n] said instead, because she didn't want to make a promise she couldn't keep.
His grip on her hands loosened, and his chest rose and fell one last time. [Y/n] leaned in, pressing a kiss to his forehead. She held him close, cradling his head in her arms as they were bathed in the warmth of the sunrise. She stayed like that, long after he was gone, her tears mixing with the blood and dirt on his skin. Arthur was gone, and with him, a part of her died too. She had nothing left to lose, nothing left to fight for, except the memory of the man she loved.

a continuation of this one-shot
warnings: mentions of cheating, having an affair, bad-words, relationship insecurity, hints of NSFW, (Y/N) cries a lot but honestly I would too lmao
"If you think crying like this will make me want you, you're a fucking idiot."
You instinctively flinch, like Katsuki's words were physically hitting you. He notices your small movement from the corner of his eye, and moves so that his back is facing you to almost save you from the wrath he was unleashing on his ex-wife.
You weren't going to tell him what Ochako said to you. Because you knew it would cause trouble between them when that was the last thing you wanted. When accepting to marry the hero, you decided that no matter what, you wouldn't further cause tension between them. For Katsumi's sake.
Yet, it was Katsumi who told her father. Somehow she stole her mother's phone the moment they returned to Ochako's home across town and called Katsuki, explaining what she saw even if she didn't understand the whole story: mommy yelling at (Y/N) and making her cry.
Katsuki didn't hesitate to immediately coming home when receiving the distressing call from his own daughter, and scared the absolute crap out of you when he seemed to pop out of nowhere and demanded to know what Uraraka said to you.
Seeing his anger made you submit all too easily, and he patiently listened to you tell him what happened through broken sobs and snot pouring from your nose as you tried calming down. Katsuki was upset that you were upset, and had the idea to hug you, comfort you but then his phone rang.
Now he paced the living room, half listening to excuses Uraraka gave him for being unnecessarily cruel to you. You watched him from the plush couch, hiccuping now instead of intensely crying.
"I'm getting the lawyers involved," He barked, cutting off whatever his ex-wife was saying. You shake your head, not wanting to cause more drama but Katsuki holds a hand up to stop you. Leaning more into the couch cushion, you bite on your lip as anxiety digs into you.
"Tell Katsumi I love her and that she's not in trouble for calling me. You better not punish her for doing the right thing. I'll be damned if my daughter gets in trouble for calling her own father, you fucking bitch." He leaves it at that, promptly hanging up the phone before Ochako could have a word in.
Katsuki tosses his phone down onto the coffee table and rubs his face groaning. You watch, silent, not knowing what to do or say.
Noticing your cheeks were still read and how puffy your eyes became from crying, Katsuki cooed softly, "Come here baby, it's okay."
Holding his arms open, you immediately get up to let him hold you. Burying your face into his chest, you inhale his strong, expensive cologne. It works wonders to calm your racing heart.
"Let me see you, " Katsuki whispers, cupping your face gently so that you could look up at him. His red eyes burned like embers and seeing concern in them makes your bottom lip wobble so you bite it to stop from trembling.
"No, no," Katsuki lightly chastises, pulling your bottom lip with his thumb, tracing it lightly over the bite makes you gave yourself.
You still don't know what to say, but a broken, "Sorry."
Katsuki will have none of that, he scoffs and rolls his eyes, "No (Y/N), I'm sorry my ex is a fucking cunt."
You're still sensitive, and hearing him say something that cruel makes you flinch.
"Don't call her that Katsuki, she is still Katsumi's mom." You're careful on correcting him, knowing he doesn't like it when you do that.
Katsuki sighs loudly, you feel him inhale and exhale. Looking back down at his phone, he looks almost annoyed. "She is, huh?"
Turning back to you, Katsuki can't help but admire how you look at him with your full attention, like you can't help but hang onto his every word. When he leans down to kiss you, it starts off slow and sensual. His tongue dominates yours and you completely relax against him, getting lost in his kiss.
"You think all that shit 'chako said was true?" Katsuki mumbles against your lips. Your eyes were closed and they stayed closed, but your eyebrows furrowed at his question. You don't respond.
"You wouldn't have cried that hard if you didn't think it was true."
He knows he's right. You know he's right. But you continue not to say anything, embarrassed to be so quick to lose trust in your husband from one simple conversation. Katsuki looks at how how your face begins to crumble, and is hurt from your hesitance.
"Look at me baby," He demands, and a smile almost graces his face when you listen to him. Fingers that were threaded in the hair by your neck tightened, making your neck snap up.
"None of that shit Ochako said was true." Katsuki looks straight into your eyes and you knew he was telling the truth. A weight that you weren't even aware of seemed to be lifted from your chest, and you almost wanted to begin crying from relief. But you don't, because you knew that would only irritate Katsuki further.
"Do you regret marrying me Katsuki?" You finally ask.
He really didn't have to marry you. You sure weren't expecting him to when the affair was leaked to the press, and after Ochako announced their divorce in a press statement. That was hell for you, when the whole world learned you were sleeping with Japan's #2 hero, who was married and a father. It hurt even worse when people realized you were the babysitter, like you purposely broke up the Bakugou family for your own personal gain. That wasn't true, it just happened and yes, you felt horrible about it but also you and Katsuki were real. No one, absolutely no one, wanted to hear your side of the story. Their minds were made up.
You lost everything from having an affair with Katsuki Bakugou.
Your parents were so disappointed, they cut off all contact with you. You had to drop out of college mid-semester after getting harassed by your peers. Fans of Katsuki would throw things at you when you'd walk through campus. Coffee, paint, condoms. Uravity fans were even worse, calling you all the horrible names in the book: slut, whore, home-wrecker, gold digger. They bullied you online constantly, and you had to take down all your social media pages because it got so bad. And when your phone number got leaked online? You almost went mad with the countless calls and messages from trolls that you broke your phone just to have peace. You were broke because no one wanted to hire you, especially not as a nanny.
You truly thought that Katsuki would end things during that time. He would only call you from a new, secure phone his assistant dropped off at your dorm, hearing you cry about all the things people had done and all the names they called you. It was a while before you got to see him again in-person, due to his publicity team deeming it appropriate to wait it out until the divorce was settled.
You didn't think Katsuki would stick around. You already cried and yearned for him when under the impression that he'd leave you. Sure, the relationship started with just hot sex. But you liked to believe that there were moments when you saw the real Katsuki, the one who was kind and gentle with you, the one you loved. God, after all the shit you endured because of him, you still loved him. That's what made it hard to finally see him, because you convinced yourself he was only asking you out to break things off with you completely.
Yet, when Katsuki went down on one knee and asked you to marry him, you burst into tears and said yes before really thinking about it because you were just glad he loved you and chose you.
It all happened so fast, too fast and you were slowly cracking under the idea that all of this was a mistake.
Katsuki laughs.
He fucking laughs. Whatever vulnerability you felt comfortable sharing with him is locked away in your chest.
"Fuck you!" You yell, pushing at his chest but there's no way you're getting away from him. Not if he didn't want you too.
Katsuki kisses you silly, and only pulls you back when you try to speak up.
"Stupid woman," He whispers against your lips. "I must be a bad husband if I have you thinking I regret ever choosing to be with you."
He's smirking now, thumbs tracing the underlying of your jaw.
"Go to the bedroom and wait for me, and I'll show you just how much you mean to me."
Your body heats up at his words, and he finally lets you go. Katsuki was never much of a talker, but rather liked showing how he felt. You knew you would never get a full explanation from him on what or why he decided to marry you, but you body ignited at how he would explain in the bedroom.
Yelping at the feeling of his hand swat at your behind when you turn to head towards the bedroom, Katsuki laughs out loud again.
Checking his phone as he grabs his hardening cock in his pants, his eyes look over the countless messages and emails notifications to see if any need his attention immediately.
Assistant Hana: when will you be back?
"Katsuki!" You yell from the room.
"Be there in a few, calm down!" He yells back, texting a quick message.
Bakugou: i got important business to deal with at home
A/N: I was going to continue the angst but surprisingly i decided to go with a 'happy' ending. i'll probably make more one shots using this storyline, keep a lookout for them.

hopes you don't mind be asked about headcanons!! but I adore how you write them!! What about Prime Assets and hugs? How huggable they are from 0 to 10? Would they hug each other?
Ohhh this one has the potential to be so silly and yet so sad... All of them could use a good hug (I'm hugging Coyle to steal from his back pocket :) )
COYLE
- Starting out mediocre, Coyle ranks at a 4/10 on the hug scale.
- His hugs are so stiff and so awkward, it's like hugging a plank. You might also get zapped so watch out.
- You know those awkward dad hugs? The ones where it's just a side hug? He can barely even manage those.
- If you gave him a proper hug, he'd keep his hands out to the side, no contact. You'd think he'd get handsy but no, he's so confused by the hug he just freezes up.
- Please don't surprise him with a hug he will suplex you.
- Also he is Not Soft, and his leather jacket smells funny. Not funny haha, funny weird. Mostly like cigarettes and sadness.
- Definitely mumbling something weird during the hug that makes you reconsider your decisions. Not weird enough to pull away but enough to make you think "damn was this really a good idea"
- Take this hug opportunity to fuck with his battery, he's too caught up in how awkward this is to notice. Steal his wallet too, for funsies.
- Would have a hard time chasing you after you hugged him. Not because he's developed some sudden emotional connection but bc that was Weird and he now dreads looking you in the eyes.
MOTHER GOOSEBERRY
- 15/10 for hugs, the most comforting hug you will ever receive in your entire life. If you consider Futterman's presence however it drops down to a 9/10.
- Futterman threatens you about 5 seconds into the hug, if you try anything funny you're getting drill to the face. This is why he affects the score so much.
- There's also the chance that he's going to whisper a question about your dental hygiene, and God help you if you answer no to flossing.
- Ignoring the goose demon, hugging her is sooo nice. She's warm and soft and bc she's so tall anyone who's short is getting surrounded by nice hug.
- She loves hugs, she loves to give and receive them. You can even potentially make her nonviolent for a minute or two if you offer a hug.
- Pray for your spine though bc she gives bear hugs. She will not hesitate to crush the life out of you with her squeezes.
- The kinda hugger that pets your head and calls you her sweet baby, or something like that. Again, most comforting hugs in the world.
- You can ask to hug Futterman but he'll just hiss at you. Man hates being hugged. Being involved in a hug is already bad enough.
- If you're small enough she will pick you up during a hug. She could very easily lift someone but if you're smaller she's more likely to think of you as a child.
FRANCO
- He's hard to rank bc how do you rank someone who either tries to kill you or cries when you hug them. I'm gonna give him a 6 or 7/10 because the hug itself isn't too bad if he doesn't go for violence.
- The violent reaction is mainly bc he's not used to anybody being kind to him. Most times he's had human contact it's been to hurt him.
- That's also why he cries. He's so unbelievably touch starved that an innocent hug can send him spiraling.
- You better hug him while he cries. He might track you down afterwards if you don't, nobody can know he cried like that. Also, you hurt his feelings :(
- If you DO continue to hug him, prepare to be crushed in his arms. He's shockingly strong, and he's clingy when he's upset.
- Also don't he surprised if he ends up in your lap tbh. You gave him the hug, you should've expected this to be how things would go. Man just wants some comfort.
- He's gonna try to bury his face into your neck, even if you're a lot shorter than him. He'll hurt his back hunching over, he doesn't care.
- He is constantly in a state of not wanting to be touched but also desperately needing a hug. It's like dealing with a cat.
- If you pet his hair or say anything comforting he will cry so hard he throws up I do not make the rules.
GROUP HUGS
- BAD IDEA.
- Franco and Coyle would rather die than hug each other. Gooseberry is going to make them be friendly whether they like it or not.
- She makes them hug and they're just whispering threats to each other.
- "Putting you in prison will be the nicest thing I do to you." "Good luck putting me in prison with a fuckin' incisor lodged in your shin."
- Gooseberry picks Coyle up when she hugs him and he freaks out. He doesn't know what to do so all he can do is Flail.
- On one hand, he's attracted to her. On the other hand, keep your hugs to yourself, woman!
- You know damn well Franco is requesting hugs from Gooseberry every single day.
- He is just a sad little boy and he needs a comforting hug from her. This is how he convinces her to hug him every single time (not like he has to do much convincing, she loves hugs).
- Futterman wants to turn him into a fine paste. He knows what that little shit is up to and he's not having it. Leave his daughter ALONE.
- He's stopped full-on crying after getting so many hugs from her, but he still gets a little teary-eyed. Especially when the head petting comes into play.
Ask me as much as you want! I will happily take 18 requests from the same person, I do not mind!!

I have notice that you are giving the kwamis different and more uniques personalities. How you imagened their unique emotions and how they react with the holders?
For sure, there are very few instances where the Zodiac Kwami get to show their individualism except for Sass or when they briefly interact with their new holders, so I really grabbed on to any little bit I could see and held tight.
Mullo - In the story of the Chinese Zodiac, the Rat rides the Ox and jumps off at the last minute in order to arrive first, so I thought it'd make sense for Mullo to be mischievous - also because Marinette uses it first for some cheeky misdirection. I got lucky that Mullo turned out to be a bit of a prankster when "Mega Leech" came out.
Stompp - As one of the Leftover 4, Stompp didn't get a lot of expression when they were shown in "PenalTeam", but I kinda ended up working with how calm they were. The way they addressed Chloe not knowing the kwamis names gave her a Disapproving Mother vibe, so I went with them being a nurturer. I picture them wanting to watch over their holder, particularly children ones, and watch them grow into full grown Oxes.
Roarr - So this one was easy cuz they've been very consistent in the show, and since the kwamis default to loud and bratty when they're in Mob Mode (ie, when all the kwamis act in sync instead of in line with their personalities), Roarr was simply a too rambunctious child. An extrovert to the extreme. Their name is very appropriate.
Fluff - This one is pretty established in canon, so I guess I'll just extend my headcanon. Fluff is easily confused and babbles a lot, and I think it's because they're being constantly bombarded with information from so many timelines. Existence is a prison and Fluff just comes across as dumb because all their brain power is overheating from a massive influx of information, so they have nothing else to offer in the Present.
Longg - "Ikari Gozen" makes them out to be a Long Winded Old Man/Woman (depending on the dub lol), but aside from them being pretty polite later, they don't hold on to it. I am. Longg is old as shit and just wants these damn kids to hear out their long ass stories, but they just don't know how to edit because it's been forever since they've been out of the box (a nod to how Dragons are now "mythical"). They don't know how to talk to the youngins anymore.
Sass - Okay, c'mon, we all know Sass. Sass is the only one we know definitively. They're the leader and being level headed and calm is the thing that distinguishes him from the rest. He is mildly cursed like Fluff to recall every remade time line, remembering what happened the other times that needed a second chance, but it's less of a burden than it is for Fluff.
Kaalki - I opted to lean in to her being a Diva, obviously thanks to her attitude in "Startrain". You'd think that'd clash with Max, so the struggle was more about making them work together despite that, so I also gave her a fascination with innovation. She's not very technologically literate, but she's interested in what humans have been able to do, especially when it comes to exploration. But in the end, she's still pretty vain lol.
Ziggy - since they were very upset at how mean Chloe was in "Miracle Queen" as opposed to angry like Stompp and Roarr, I felt Ziggy was probably younger and a bit sensitive. I also leaned into some goat traits, having them eat paper and headbutt Nathaniel.
Xuppu - Xuppu can easily become very annoying, especially in "Destruction" where they're trying to be helpful, but uhhhh...they aren't. So I just stuck with how they were portrayed in their canon debut episode. Like Roarr, Xuppu is very much like A Child, so even in Mob Mode they feel in character - getting into stuff and making a mess.
Orikko - I made them very patient, which you gotta be when your powers are bullshit and you constantly have to give a tutorial on how they work. They could talk all day with their holder trying to find loopholes.
Barkk - So they have two standout moments where they're allowed individuality - in "Furious Fu" and "Risk". In the former, they are stubbornly staying behind to guard the house and the Miracle Box, and in the latter, they're super excited at getting a new holder and getting to "play". So both a guard dog and a puppy. I met in the middle where they DO really want to play, but also want everyone to be as excited as them which takes a little coaxing. Like an Extrovery adopting Introverts.
Daizzi - They're just very sweet. Almost just like Rose but soft spoken. They feel very much but like to focus on the things they like, no matter how simple they are.

Rooster and reader taking a trail ride (with others horses if you want) to a lake to have a picnic date while the horses are going crazy in the water :)
Also I love how you did a mixture of both the ideas, I loved it 🥹

in my multipart baby of a bob cowboy fic the callsigns are nicknames they got from the rodeo -- same applies here
Bradley would never get sick of the sight of this. Of her in the barn, wearing a sundress and his fucking Stetson. All she was doing was leaning against a stable door, feeding Goose a sugar cube.
(Goose was Bradley's dad's horse. They'd gotten him at two years old from auction just months before Nick Bradshaw sadly passed. Bradley had kept Goose going for the better part of twenty eight years. He was too old to ride now, and nobody loved him more than Bradley's girlfriend).
Bradley couldn't stop himself from sliding his arm around her shoulders and pulling her in for a kiss. "Ready to go?"
"Let me say goodbye to Goose," she said and pulled the Stetson from her head to place it on his own.
The way Bradley watched her, it could only be described as having hearts for eyes. He watched as she held Goose's nose and lifted it, giving the little pink patch on his nose a kiss. "We'll be back soon, buddy," she said as his nose came to rest on her shoulder.
"C'mon," Bradley said and gently pulled her away. If he had any competition in this world, it was Goose.
Bradley helped her get into Bo's saddle. He didn't have to help her, but he always liked to. As soon as her feet her in the stirrups and she had leaned down to kiss him, he moved on, easily swinging himself up into Rusty's saddle.
They set off, riding side by side away from the Bradshaw ranch. It had been his parents before his. When his father died, Pete Mitchell (who had earnt the nickname from the rodeo) stepped up for a few years. Bradley couldn't remember when Pete left, he didn't even remember him being there. But Bradley had been the man of the house for damn near twenty years.
When his mother died, he was all alone on the ranch. Well, until she came along.
She, who brought that sparkle of light back into his life. She, who Bradley loved with everything that he had. She rode beside him, barely holding onto Bo. She didn't need to, not when he would loyally follow Rusty.
When they got to the lake, there was a series of whoops and hollers. Bradley jumped down from Rusty first. He knew she didn't need help getting out of Bo's saddle; he just liked standing behind her, pulling her against him for a brief second.
"Nice hat!" Jake 'Hangman' Seresin called towards her.
There was a time where she would have been so embarrassed that she rushed to place the hat back onto Bradley's head, but she just grinned at Jake. "Thanks," she said, tongue poking between her teeth as Bradley tied the horses up. "Stole it."
Jake rolled his eyes, but there was no malice behind it. She took her seat beside Bob, gratefully accepting the water he offered her. It wasn't often the squad got to do things like this. Jake and Natasha were both on the rodeo circuit and Bob, Javi, Mickey and Reuben all worked on ranches in the area.
Bradley sat down beside her and immediately pulled her closer, planting a kiss to her cheek.
"Are we gonna see you on the circuit this year, Bradshaw?" Nat asked from where she laid in the sun, her own hat covering her head.
Although Bradley (Or Rooster, as they called him on the circuit) was born and raised for the rodeo, he gave it up. Once his mom died and he was alone running the ranch, he just couldn't. There was far too much to do. Besides, he didn't miss the buckle bunny's begging for him to take them back to his Bronco.
"Yeah, Bradshaw," his girl said, but it didn't take him by surprise. She loved watching him do what he did best.
He finally took the hat from her head and placed it on her own. "You want to watch, pretty girl?" He asked, his mouth close to hers. They kissed and, well, a little more, only pulling away when they heard the group of late twenties/thirty year olds shouting 'ew!'

A/N: Read Make You Mine, the first installment of this series, here!
Next Chapter⇾ ◅ Back to story masterlist
If you thought Jungkook would have become Prince Charming after claiming you as his mate during your designation celebration, you were quite wrong—and perhaps a bit disappointed.
You moved to his pack lands a week ago, much to the disgruntlement of your old pack leader, Roland. It was the last thing he wanted for you; even if the Jeons agreed to adjust the boundary lines to where they were supposed to be, the centuries-long feud between the two packs was still a very sore subject.
You groan, blinking blearily at the weak morning light filtering in around the thick curtains over the windows across from the bed. At this point, it’s a bodily habit for one of your hands to swipe across the space beside you, seeking information, despite the hum in your chest having already confirmed it. The other side of the bed is cold, devoid of your mate, his scent so faint in the room you know he never even laid in the bed last night.
It irritates you that he doesn't communicate or consider your well-being. You wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he doesn’t experience the same discomfort that you do being apart from him so often and for such long periods. It’s the only explanation for why he can so easily leave you.
The intimate moments you shared well into the wee hours of the morning at your celebration seem like just a figment of your imagination, a figment your mind designed to taunt you. If it wasn’t for the giant rock residing on your lefthand ring finger, you might think it was a dream. But the teardrop-shaped amethyst surrounded by chips of starlight opal, reminiscent of the gown you wore the night of your designation celebration, is a constant reminder that this is, in fact, very real.
It’s not just the ring, which you came to learn is a family heirloom—the same ring his father gave his mother when they bonded—but also the ever-constant tug that you feel in the center of your chest, like a wildfire that refuses to be smothered. It’s accompanied by a hum right under your breastbone that only lessens when you can put your eyes on Jungkook, which is harder than it probably should be. He’s constantly gone, blaming his absence on being pack alpha.
So, you’ve spent most of your days since moving to the Jeon pack land with his mother. She’s a wild contrast, every inch the demure omega you met the night of your celebration while simultaneously intimidating the hell out of you. All it takes is one look from her, and you feel stripped bare, your soul hers for the reading. It doesn’t help when you periodically catch Jungkook’s father looming in the shadows as if he’s worried you might bring harm to his mate.
It’s expected of you, now that you’re to be the Jeon pack omega—Jungkook’s mate and intended Luna—to learn the art of mending and lead the healers' circle. In Roland’s pack, you stayed as far from the healer’s quarters and clinic as possible, suited more for field work and strategic planning of pack land agriculture. The idea of setting broken bones and tending to wounds is not your idea of a great time; far too delicate of work. Yet, in the Jeon pack, the responsibility for pack health falls on the pack omega—which is what you are now.
You grumble, shoving back the blankets and stretching your aching muscles. It’s not hard work, per se, learning medicine. That’s not why your body thrums with a dull throb of tightness. It’s the hours you spend pacing and waiting for Jungkook to come home. You hate it, staying up all hours of the night to the point your body grieves sleep and comfort alike; it’s just not something that can be helped, damn him.
The rumbling hiss of the shower turning on in the attached bath draws your attention. “Fucker,” you mumble under your breath, beelining straight for the closed door. “What the…fuck…is…your problem?” your question trails off, the words slowed by the sheer shock of what you find when you fling open the door.
Muscles. So many muscles. Thick, tattooed fingers wrapped around a straining, water-slick knot. The scent wafting through the steam is overwhelming. It stops you in your tracks. Whatever tirade was filling your head fades. It’s been weeks since you’ve seen Jungkook’s body not hidden behind leather and denim—since you’ve been able to get a lungful of his fresh, tantalizing scent. Saliva instantly pools under your tongue.
“The only—” he pauses to moan “—problem I see is you standing there smelling like that,” the last words are bitten out around a throaty growl. The slick sound of his fist sliding up and down his cock is loud in the silence that follows his statement, being heard clearly over the pelting of the water hitting tiles. “Get your ass in here or get out.”
After weeks of barely-there-glances and absence, he truly expects you to just hop in the shower with him? He can shove that offer up his ass. But, for some reason, your body can’t seem to get on that reasonably sound page with your brain.
Your shorts and tank top hit the floor before you can stop your hands. A low rumble vibrates in your chest as you advance on the shower, fully intent on making Jungkook beg for it. Your omega snarls, making your whole body shudder as she bats against your inner cage, demanding attention from her mate.
Jungkook’s eyes narrow on you, his lips curling into a silent snarl of his own. Your body instantly responds, arousal throbbing between your thighs. As soon as you swing open the shower door, he’s wrapping his arms around you and hauling you inside. The kiss of hot water is nothing compared to the heat from his skin sliding against yours.
All thought and pretense of making him beg vanish with the first press of his lips to yours. Even if you want to resist, the omega within you won’t let you; she’s far too consumed with reclaiming her mate.
“You’re an asshole,” you manage to gasp between nipping bites and kisses.
“And you’re mine,” he snaps back, fisting a hand in your hair to angle your chin up so he can nuzzle into your neck. You preen under his words and attention, your omega cooing in supplication.
Jungkook drives his hips against yours, pressing you against a water-slick wall. His teeth graze the sensitive skin that covers your scent gland. Your body shortcircuits at the contact, a flood of panic sobering you quickly.
You shove your hands into his hair and wrench his head away from your neck. “Fuck you. How dare you ignore me for weeks and then expect me to—ahmm,” your rant turns into a moan when Jungkook slides a hand between your bodies and pushes two thick fingers between your thighs. His middle and ring finger slide along either side of your clit, pinching the sensitive bundle and making you forget how mad you are once again.
“I’ve been busy,” he punctuates each word with a thrust of his fingers into your pussy. The thick, creamy scent of your slick perfumes the air. You turn to putty in his arms, moaning and grinding on his fingers, trying to seek more.
Vitriol sits on the tip of your tongue, waiting to be unleashed on him, but all your anger bleeds away when he hooks his hands under your ass and hauls you up, cock nudging eagerly at your entrance.
He fills you in one swift thrust, the intrusion a sweet relief kissed with pain as your body adjusts to the swell of his cock. “Fuck,” you moan and wrap your arms around Jungkook’s neck to help him move your body over his, wet tendrils of your slick already dripping to the shower floor. You cross your ankles, feet sitting at the small of his back, securing you against his hard physique.
“I can’t stop thinking about the way your body squeezes my knot and the smell of your greedy cunt full of my cum. I can’t fucking focus,” he snarls, hips battering against yours, “it’s driving me insane. I can barely concentrate on what I need to do—important business that you’re ruining!”
His words lash through you, bringing your anger to the surface once more. “Maybe if you gave me more than a fleeting moment of your time, you wouldn’t be suffering,” you mock sweetly, nails scratching down the back of his neck as you force yourself onto his cock harder and faster.
The bulge of his knot teases at your opening with every downward stroke. All it would take is a particularly good bounce to fit it within your body. Taking the reigns, forcing a shift of control, you tighten your grip on him and drag yourself down his cock with renewed intent.
Jungkook lets loose a string of curses mixed with strangled sounds you’ve never heard him make. “Oh, gods!” He sags forward, pinning your body against the wall with his full weight. You can feel his legs trembling as he unleashes a torrent of warmth within your walls. His cock pulses, sending jolts of pleasure fluttering through you.
Weeks of pent-up emotion come flooding out in a cascade of slick and full-body shudders. Spots of light dance behind your tightly shut lids, and a wave of dizziness sweeps through, making everything fuzzy as time seems to stand still. “Jungkook,” you sob his name in a fervent whisper, your body wringing itself ragged around his throbbing knot.
As your walls clamp around him, he cries out again, the words a half-coherent jumble, but there’s no mistaking the fervent, “I’m sorry.”
He turns, being careful not to let you shift too much, to lean against the wall, and then slowly slides down until he’s sitting with you in his lap. The water from the shower pelts down, hitting your shoulders and cascading down your back.
“Say it again,” you encourage, mumbling against his chest. Jungkook wraps his arms around you and lets his head fall back to rest against the tiles, his eyes sliding shut.
His response rumbles under your ear. “Say what?”
“Don’t be an ass, you know what.”
“I’m sorry,” he sighs, a heavy exhale whispering over the top of your head.
“Are you going to explain where you’ve been, why you’ve been away so much? Is this a whole ‘distance makes the heart grown fonder’ thing because I call bullshit.”
You’re almost sure he’s going to ignore your question, the way silence hangs heavy in the air of the shower. Finally, he says, “The Bartons. They’ve been causing trouble for the Parks again.”
You push away from his chest, leaning back to look him in the eye. The new angle reminds your body that Jungkook is still knot deep, your walls automatically flexing around the thickness, making him sigh for a different reason. If you were in a different mood, you’re confident you could make him cum again just by pulsing your muscles around him. But, for once, he’s actually giving you answers…something you’ve been seeking for weeks now.
Jungkook eases you off his cock; his knot is deflated enough that it doesn’t pain you when he does so. You settle beside him in the shower, taking him fully in for the first time. There are dark circles under his eyes and the beginnings of a bruise coloring his jaw. He’s clearly been in some sort of altercation.
“What’s going on? Is that where this came from?” you ask, brushing your thumb over the bruising on his chin.
Grabbing a cloth from the nook filled with your special omega soaps and oils, Jungkook gently pries your legs further apart. “Our union sparked something within the packs. Alpha Park extended a peace treaty to Alpha Barton with the idea that if our clans could finally come to peace after centuries of feud, then they could, too. It was rejected, and maybe a few fists were thrown,” he explains, absently cleaning up the mess between your thighs.
You can picture it now, the austere-looking Barton alpha sneering at any prospective idea of peace brought forward by the more subdued Alpha Park. It’s no wonder Jungkook has been gone so much.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Frustration heats your words, reminding you of the time you’ve spent alone, waiting and wondering.
His tired eyes meet yours. “I don’t know.” Muscled and tattooed shoulders rise and fall with his response. “Would you believe me if I told you I’ve been scared to come home? Scared of” —he drops the rag and gestures vaguely between your body and his— “this?”
You’re not sure if that should make you feel better or worse. Jungkook acknowledges what’s between you two while admitting he’s been purposefully avoiding you because of it.
“What’s there to be scared of?” you ask, voice barely above a whisper. It’s not like the connection between the two of you can be broken; it’s not like he can just ignore you forever.
Jungkook scoffs. “You know what they want from us, right?”
“They?” you ask, confused.
“They, everyone. They are all expecting us to bond.”
You laugh lightly. “Well, yeah, of course they do. That’s what we’ll have to do eventually anyway. You’re scared of a little bite?”
“Not eventually, no. They want it now.”
That makes you pause. You knew there was no stopping the inevitable mate claiming that could come, the bite to solidify you as Jungkook’s Luna…but you thought that wouldn’t come for years yet. It’s customary for a mated pair to wait until they’re ready to bear children and take over—take over the pack—but Jungkook is already the leader of his pack. You’re unsure why you didn’t piece that together sooner; you feel like a fool.
You shake your head. “That’s our decision, isn’t it? If we’re not ready to bond, then we’re not ready.”
“Try telling that to my dying father,” Jungkook mumbles under his breath, but you still catch the confession clearly.
“Your father is dying?”
Jungkook grunts in response. “Just another piece on my already full plate.”
Everything from the last week comes crashing down on you. The way his father would linger in the shadows and doorways, leaning heavily on his silver-tipped cane, and the force at which his mother was drilling information into you.
“You could have told me all of this. It would have made the last week…” you trail off, not wanting to confess to him just how terrible the last week has been in his absence.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. You know now. But, I guess while we’re on the subject of sharing information, I should also add that Demetrius challenged Hyunsoo to a pack duel when he rejected the treaty.”
Your mouth opens, but no words form. There haven’t been duels held between packs in at least the last two hundred years. It’s absurd. Demetrius would not have challenged Hyunsoo unless he could guarantee his win because to duel and lose, well…there’s a reason duels stopped being a thing.
“Rejected treaty or not, surely Park said no?” Hyunsoo Park might be a soft, well-mannered Alpha, but he’s no fool.
“How could he?” Jungkook asks, pushing up from the floor and stepping under the direct spray of the shower. The water has gone cold, drawing a groan from Jungkook before he grabs a bar of soap, vigorously scrubs his body, rinses, and turns it off. “That’s as good as a personal slight against Hyunsoo’s designation.”
You slowly stand, retrieving two towels from the heated rack. “Barton is either a fool or has a trick up his sleeve. There’s no way this is actually happening, right? Two pack Alpha’s fighting…it’s ridiculous and archaic.”
Jungkook takes the towel you offer him and pats his face and chest before wrapping it around his waist and stepping out of the shower. “The pack Alphas aren’t going to be the ones fighting," he says.
“But…that—then who?”
The pain and anger evident in Jungkook’s eyes as he turns to meet your gaze gives you a clear idea about the answer to your question before he even opens his mouth. “Raiden and…Jimin.”
“That’s…we can’t let that happen. We have to call a council, demand the elders put a stop to this nonsense.”
“Don’t you think that was my first step? I called them the moment I heard. They said it was a petty feud between families, nothing new and nothing worth their time to unravel centuries of tradition over. The duel will happen in a few days time.”
You scoff, dragging your towel around your body as you follow him out of the shower. “There are small feuds, and then there’s whatever the fuck this is! They can’t just idly sit by while Raiden faces Jimin in a duel. They do understand what that means, right? A fight to submission…an alpha submitting to another alpha?! They’d let the hierarchy of one of the original families face potential ruin all because they don’t want to stand up and do something about it?”
Jungkook shakes his head, his shoulders tense as he grabs his toothbrush and begins to brush his teeth. “You’re not saying anything I don’t already know,” he mumbles around the foaming paste.
“Well, what are we going to do now?”
Spitting in the sink, Jungkook meets your eyes through the mirror before him. “We? We are not doing anything right now. I’m leaving again for the Park lands tonight. I’ll have you and my parents follow me before the day comes.”
“Like fuck you are! You’re not leaving me here again, even if it’s just for a few days,” you say, glaring at him.
In one smooth motion, Jungkook turns on his heel and crowds into your space, his chest bumping into yours. It takes tremendous effort not to immediately trace your hands over the warm expanse of flesh. “You will do as I say, Omega.” The command bites into your will, bending it to his, completely erasing any semblance of desire that was flaring.
“I hate you,” you manage to seethe around the thick knot in your throat that’s slowly strangling your defiance.
Jungkook pats your cheek, a shit-eating grin curling his lips. “You’re cute when you’re angry. The fight you have inside of you is exactly what I need in a Luna. When all of this is over, we will solidify the bond and fulfill our duty to the pack...whether we like it or not.”
🌙🌙🌙
Jungkook
Leaving you standing in the bathroom, Jungkook disappears into the closet to get dressed. Being honest with you should make him feel lighter, yet the weight of his responsibility feels even heavier now. Not only is Jungkook trying to help out his friend, someone he sees as a brother, but now he has as much as guaranteed he will be sinking his teeth into your neck in the very near future—whether either of you like it or not. Those last words linger in the back of his mind because he knows very well he won’t go near you if you don’t want him to.
It’s not like Jungkook doesn’t want to, and he knows you want to be with him—it’s not like that. The timing is just poor. Typically, mated pairs get years together before they have to bond, not weeks. However, the handful of weeks since your designation celebration might as well not even count, considering Jungkook has been acting like a pup with its tail between its legs. He’s been a fool for avoiding you so adamantly; it’s not doing either of you any favors.
Yet, here he goes, running off again. He pulls on boxers, jeans, and a long-sleeved black shirt before shrugging his worn leather jacket on. You’re standing by the bed, dressed in a fresh pair of cream-colored sweats, arms crossed and brow furrowed. Jungkook can feel the disapproval rolling off of you in waves. His alpha huffs his own annoyance.
If it wasn’t for the immense ache and the woeful misery of the beast beneath his skin, he might have continued to avoid you for another week or two. As it is, he can feel it yearning to wipe that look off your face and get lost in the sheets with you for a week instead.
“Let me come with you.”
“Absolutely not. Not yet.”
The last thing he’s going to do is put you in the middle of it all. His mother would wring his neck if anything happened to you, even inadvertently. She’s been harping on him since the day you moved in that he needs to take care of you because an omega of your stature and promise is valuable beyond measure.
“This isn’t your fight alone, Jungkook. This is my pack, now, too. I deserve the chance to help wherever I can.”
That’s the crux of it, too, it seems. Because this is your pack now, and you do deserve the chance to help. The Parks and Jeons might be separate communities within the hierarchy, but they’re as close as family. He just can’t stand the thought of you somehow getting caught in the crosshairs between Raiden and Jimin. He’s tempted to bar you from attending the duel altogether, but he knows even he doesn’t hold that much power.
“You’re right. This isn’t my fight alone. It is technically Jimin’s fight, and I will just be there to support and help him prepare for it.”
You throw up your hands, eyes snapping up to the ceiling as you groan in frustration. “You’re a real asshole, you know that?”
Jungkook can’t help the small smile that suffuses his face. You’re so fiery, and that’s easily the single most attractive thing a woman can be to him. “I know. How about a compromise? I promise to text or call more while I’m gone?”
That softens your resolve. Your hands land on your hips, and you give him a skeptical look, one eyebrow hooking upward. “So, you’ll actually answer your phone this time?”
“Promise,” Jungkook calls over his shoulder as he jogs out of the room and down the hall to the front door. He shoves his feet into his black riding boots and turns to grab the door handle. The sudden searing ache in his chest has him jerking to a halt, fingers slipping from the cool bronze knob.
He grumbles under his breath but marches back down the hallway and into the bedroom. Your lips turn down in a frown, clearly confused by his actions. “Forget something?” you ask.
“Actually, I did,” he mutters before cupping a hand along the side of your neck, thumb dangerously close to brushing over your scent gland and planting his mouth firmly over yours.
The reaction is instantaneous. You melt against him and open to his demanding tongue. It’s only for a moment, just a taste to make his alpha shut up. Jungkook will never admit that it’s just as much for him, though, too. As soon as the first moan escapes your chest, he pulls back, gives you one last peck on the forehead, and promptly turns to leave again.
“Fucking dick,” he hears you grouse behind him as he escapes down the hallway.
Thankfully, there is no sudden pain that stops him this time. Jungkook is on his bike and halfway to Jimin’s house before he feels that familiar ache creep back into his chest, sitting right over his heart, alternating between snarling and whimpering. Not much longer, just another week, he tells himself…just another week, and you’ll be having more than just his hand on your throat.
“Hey, asshole!” Jimin greets fondly, his tone full of mirth, as soon as the engine is cut and Jungkook swings his leg over the back of his bike.
“Who are you calling an asshole?” Jungkook asks, unamused by his friend’s teasing tone.
Jimin, bleached blond hair pushed back, exposing his forehead, claps Jungkook on the back and says, “You. Because I can smell her on you, and you’re an asshole for coming back so soon and leaving her behind. I just know she’s not happy with you. You’re an asshole for the whole fuck and run thing, giving us alphas a bad name.”
Jungkook presses his lips into a thin line. He can’t argue with that. But still, Jimin wouldn’t know anything about what he’s going through…the pressures of what’s expected of Jungkook. Jimin might be an alpha like Jungkook, but he hasn’t taken over for his pack yet, nor has he found his true mate. Besides, if it weren’t for Jimin needing his support, he would have stayed…or so Jungkook tells himself.
“I left to come to support you, and this is the thanks I get,” Jungkook deadpans. “Now who’s the asshole?”
Jimin throws his hands up, walking backward in front of Jungkook as they head toward Jimin’s front door, his bare feet whispering over the grass of the front lawn. “That doesn’t completely make you not an asshole. But, thank you. You should have at least brought her with you or something, though. I prepared the guest room with all the omega necessities and everything.”
Not wanting to continue with this conversation, Jungkook changes the subject, “Have you heard any more from the Bartons or the council?”
That sobers Jimin up quickly. He turns on his heel, shoves his hands into the pockets of his jeans, and falls into step beside Jungkook.
“Nope. Demetrius is still holding to his challenge.”
“And the council?” Jungkook asks, not letting himself hope they’ve grown some sense in the last few hours.
Jimin shrugs and then uses his shoulder to push through the front door that he left ajar. “Same as before. They say it’s the Barton’s right to challenge us. It might be ancient and ridiculous, but the tenets haven’t been changed in nearly five hundred years. Duels are completely within anyone’s rights.”
It’s on the tip of Jungkook’s tongue to spout off that he should challenge Raiden for even considering challenging Jimin, but this whole situation has been so delicate to navigate. Jungkook doesn’t want to undermine Jimin in any way, and challenging Raiden himself might come off as a declaration that Jungkook doesn’t think Jimin is a strong enough alpha to beat Raiden in the first place.
Which is so far from the truth. Jungkook is fully confident that Jimin will be victorious. His friend is ferocious, an expert in many forms of martial arts, and has nearly as commanding of an alpha voice as Jungkook. But that in and of itself makes this whole thing far more complicated. Because everyone knows of Jimin’s abilities, why would anyone challenge him if they know they can’t win? Unless they plan to do something dirty—cheat their way to victory. You were right in your thinking about that.
Jungkook just doesn’t want Jimin to get hurt because Raiden wants to fight dirty. If the elders discover Raiden cheated, it might ruin Raiden’s chance of being the Barton pack alpha, but that would just make way for his younger brother, Kiel, to step into that role. And Kiel is far more of a dangerous alpha than Raiden. The possibilities are endless, and Jungkook hates all the uncertainty.
“So you’re really going through with this?” Jungkook asks, dropping down into a low-slung chair in Jimin’s open-concept living room.
Jimin’s back is to Jungkook as he fishes two beers from the fridge, the kitchen island the only thing separating the two spaces. “Don’t have much of a choice, it seems,” he confirms, offering a dark amber bottle to Jungkook before settling on the floor in front of the fireplace. “We can’t reject Demetrius’ challenge, and there is no way I’m letting Dad face Raiden himself.” Jimin stretches out, using a hand to prop himself up as he extends his toes toward the small fire burning in the hearth.
Jungkook watches his friend. Jimin still holds much of the boyish charm he had in his youth. The bleached strands of his hair look like gold in the soft firelight. He’s only wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt, his feet bare and toes flexing in the warmth coming from the fire. Jimin brings his beer up and takes a sip—the brown glass looks molten in the flickering light. Jungkook watches as a line forms between Jimin’s dark brows, a solemn look stealing over his friend’s face.
Thinking to change the subject and mood to something a bit lighter all at once, Jungkook shoots a group text off before asking, “In the mood for some steaks and games?”
That earns him an appreciative smile from Jimin. Jungkook might not be able to challenge Raiden nor take over Jimin’s fight, but he can do everything in his power to ensure his friend knows he has the full support of Jungkook and their other friends behind him. An hour later, the other five of their friend group are gathered, a bottle of whiskey is being passed around, and steaks are sizzling away on the grill.
“Where’s your girl at, Jungkook?” Namjoon asks before sinking a solid ball into a corner pocket. This earns a sigh from Hoseok, who is standing on the other side of the pool table, softly thumping the rubber end of his cue on the floor as he waits to take his next turn.
Jungkook looks up from where he’s tending the steaks on the grill on the back patio, meeting Namjoon’s gaze through the open sliding glass door into the lounge. “At home.”
“Trouble in paradise?” Yoongi asks from his seat at the outdoor bar, where he’s chopping up vegetables for a salad to go with the steaks.
Taehyung comes up beside Jungkook, peeking over his shoulder at the sizzling slabs of meat. “I can’t imagine leaving behind a sweet piece of ass to come hang out with a bunch of dicks,” he comments, earning a swat from Jungkook that has him laughing and running to the other side of the deck and launching himself into the pool.
“You guys don’t understand,” Jungkook grumbles.
Seokjin swats the top of the water, splashing Taehyung once he surfaces, before climbing out of the pool and grabbing a towel, wrapping it around his hips. “So enlighten us, Kook.”
“My parents—the whole pack, really—are insisting I bond with her immediately. And, I know that that shouldn’t be a big deal, considering I’m the pack alpha. But I shouldn’t be pack alpha for another five years at least, so it’s making my experience a little different than most. I just thought once I found my Luna, I’d have more time to get to know her—fall in love with her—before putting my bite on her. Shit, guys, it feels too soon, and it’s got me all fucked up in here,” he says, using the handle of the tongs to tap the side of his head. “I can’t be around her for more than five minutes without popping a knot. I feel like I’m a gods damned pup all over again. I should be enjoying my time drowning in slick instead of worrying about a bond.”
“What’s so wrong with that?” Jimin asks, sounding genuinely curious. He’s been laughing and smiling the whole time, but there is an underlying tightness that Jungkook can see behind Jimin’s eyes. “Why is a bond so scary? You can still get to know her even after that.”
Jungkook purses his lips, flipping the steaks before stepping back and meeting his friend's eyes. “I guess it just feels…like we don’t get a choice in it? I mean, I know with our designations and the mating draw, we don’t get to choose who, but most people get to choose when. I want her to want me because I’m me, not because of my alpha.”
“And you’re doing a bang-up job of that by being here with us instead of with her,” Hoseok says, giving Jungkook a disapproving eyebrow raise.
“I have too much going on right now to be—”
Jimin holds up a hand, stopping Jungkook from continuing. “You don’t get to use my situation as an excuse. I already told you I had prepared for you to be bringing her with you.” That earns approving nods for Jimin from everyone else and unimpressed looks for Jungkook.
“Fuck,” Jungkook whispers to himself, pulling the steaks off the grill and plopping them onto a plate, knowing once again that his friends are right about how he’s acting—which is like a complete and utter asshole.
For a mated alpha, it seems he has shit instincts when it comes to his omega. He makes a vow to himself to start being better. As soon as everything with the Bartons blows over, he’s going to change how he treats you and win you over in true mate fashion before he puts his canines anywhere near your neck.
🌙🌙🌙
Jungkook keeps his promise, sending you a few generic text messages and even video calling you later that same night. You spent your day sequestered away with his mom, memorizing different herbs and their medicinal properties.
The next day, you realize that as much as you might not have cared to learn about these things initially, you find yourself surprised by how much you enjoy them. Perhaps it helps when she brings out a box of dried herbs labeled ‘Omega’, but it’s also a nice distraction from worrying about what’s going on with Jungkook; you haven’t heard from him at all today.
“And this?” Jungkook’s mom asks, tapping her finger on a vacuumed sealed baggy of dark green sprigs.
You examine the small spindles of green needles and cross-reference the book in your lap. “Fennel. Used for treating spasms.”
“Good, and this?” Her finger moves to a clear glass jar full of dried white and yellow flowers.
“Chamomile.” You smile, not even having to check the book to see if you’re right. Your own mother keeps a garden of chamomile and mint. She told you once that she started growing it for Mari, your old pack alpha’s late Luna, before she got sick.
Jungkook’s mom picks up the jar and twists off the lid, holding it out for you to smell it. “It’s one of my favorite scents,” she sighs happily. For once, her stony exterior breaks a bit to show you the warmth underneath.
“Reminds me of home,” you say before you can think better of it.
That deteriorates whatever ground you feel like you had made in that instant. “This is your home now,” she says, pointedly looking at the ring on your finger that once sat on hers before she pops the lid back on the jar and replaces it in the box. “You’ve not yet bonded with my son. Why?”
The abrupt change in subject and the lancing question have you opening your mouth just to snap it shut again. “Excuse me?”
Her shoulders heave up and down with a long, drawn-out sigh. She gives you a withering look like you’re a child to whom she is about to have to explain something very simple. “You both know what is needed of you. Yet your neck still doesn’t bear his mark. There is nothing to show for the combined strength of the pack. People are starting to talk.”
You swallow past the bile in your throat. Are you supposed to care if people are talking? It feels like a half-assed effort, but the only thing you can think to say to her unreadable face is, “Jungkook has been gone, helping with the Parks.”
“Yes. Yes, so he has,” she mutters, her eyes narrowing and dropping to the box still open on the floor between the two of you. “He is far too ambitious for his own good. He should be focused here instead of trying to play referee for a bunch of chest-pounding alpha fools.”
It is so surprising that she would make such a blunt and crass statement, that it takes you a moment to realize there is another presence in the room. A deep throat clears, drawing both of your attention and snapping you out of your shock.
“I think what my sweet wife is trying to say is that Jungkook has responsibilities here that should outweigh those of other packs, even if those packs are our friends and allies.” Jungkook’s dad limps in, his silver-tipped cane thumping loudly on the hardwood floor. You can’t help but let your eyes flick over his burly form, looking for any sign that death is knocking on his door, as Jungkook let slip earlier.
Jungkook’s mom sniffs, giving you an indignant look that turns to heart-melting adoration as her gaze drifts to her husband. What little fire had flared moments ago within her is smothered by the bond to her alpha, making her once again a demure omega.
Watching that, witnessing it happen so clearly, has your own reservations and doubts bubbling up all over again concerning your impending bond with their alpha son. You don’t want to become someone’s doormat. Not that you see his mom as being a doormat for his father, but there’s just something so…unnerving about someone else being able to control you with just the sound of their voice that frightens you. The fact he can do that even without the bite doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Your phone buzzing in your pocket pulls you out of your thoughts. Checking it, you see it’s a call from Jungkook. “Speaking of,” you say, holding up your phone so they can see his name displayed across the screen.
“Tell him to come home,” his father says, giving you a curt nod of dismissal. You just give him a tight-lipped smile as you stand to leave.
“Hi,” you say in a hushed tone as you slip out of the room. Your lessons take place in the small community clinic; the room you were just in is one where supplies are kept. It’s doubled as your classroom for the last few weeks.
“Hey.” Jungkook sounds weary, his voice ladened with exhaustion.
“Is everything okay?” You continue down the hallway until you hit the backdoor. It swings open on silent hinges as you leave, angling yourself toward the house at the top of the hill—Jungkook’s home, and now yours, you suppose.
There is a long pause, during which all you hear is Jungkook’s soft breathing. “It could be better,” he finally replies.
“Is there anything I can do?” It’s an automatic response, to want to please him and make his life better; you love and hate it.
“No,” his reply whistles through the phone, carried on a sigh. “I should have brought you with me. I’m sorry, I keep fucking up, it seems.” Before you can formulate any sort of response to that, he continues, “The duel is happening tomorrow. I’ve already talked to my brother. He is going to drive you and our parents up first thing in the morning.”
“Wait, what? Tomorrow?” You mentally shuffle through the sporadic text messages he’s sent you the last day, trying to remember if he mentioned anything about the time frame.
You make it up the driveway and to the front door, but take a seat in one of the patio chairs instead of going inside. Jungkook shifts around and you can hear the distinct rub of fabric over the phone speaker before a soft grunt and exhale. “Sorry, I had to sit up before I ended up passing out on you. We stayed up too late last night.” He clears his throat. “I would have told you sooner, but after the others left last night, Jimin and I got called in by the council.”
“Did they change their minds?” you ask, trying to grab onto even the tiniest flicker of hope.
Jungkook mutters something that you can’t hear before speaking more clearly, “I wish. The stubborn old fools are more concerned with what an ancient book written five hundred years ago says than with what should actually be done.” He laughs; it’s a biting and humorless sound. “You should have seen the looks on their faces when I suggested writing a new set of tenets. The alpha stick is so far up their asses that they can’t see just how utterly ridiculous this whole farce is.”
“There is no way Demetrius isn’t going to try and pull something. None of this makes sense. Sure, the Parks and Bartons have beef, but for it to so suddenly come to this?”
“I know.” The frustration in Jungkook’s voice makes your omega mewl in concern. It’s been relatively quiet today, just a silent, observing presence until now. “All we can do is be there and keep our eyes and ears open for any possible nefarious bullshit they have planned. I’ve already got all the guys, and even Daehyun keyed in on the whole situation.”
You don’t even have to ask who ‘the guys’ are. Once Jungkook came into your life, so, too, came six other alphas that are closer to Jungkook than even his beta older brother, Junghyun. You’re less familiar with Lee Daehyun, Jimin’s personal trainer, but still are aware of who he is. He was the beta you bumped into the night of your designation celebration when you were on the prowl to locate what you eventually figured out was the scent of your mate—Jungkook.
“With that many eyes, surely they won’t try anything,” you lament, but even you can’t convince yourself.
Jungkook yawns; you can hear the inhalation and heavy exhalation. “I can only hope they’re not that stupid, but it wouldn’t be the first time Demetrius has tried to pull a stunt to get ahead.”
The whole situation still stinks of foolery. You tell Jungkook as much, “I still don’t like it. Is Jimin okay with what happens when he wins? Or what if they do try something, but by the time we realize it, it’s too late? What happens if…what if Jimin—” You can’t even bring yourself to say it out loud. Either way, Jimin is going to have an irreparable dark spot on his tender soul; you just know it, he’s far too sweet of a guy for this shit.
Everyone knows what happens to an alpha that is forced to submit to another alpha—they break. It’s happened only a handful of times outside of duels, primarily by accident and when there is a lot of liquor and anger involved. One alpha pisses off another, and the stronger of the two forces the other to submit, using the voice designated explicitly for their mate. It does something to an alpha; it causes their internal wires to cross, and they become a shell of who they once were. And the alpha that did the breaking? Well, they’re never quite the same, either.
Jungkook is so quiet that you begin to think he might have hung up on you, but eventually, he states, “Jimin will always be my brother, no matter what happens.”
That’s how the conversation ends. Jungkook offers a brief goodbye, saying he needs to get some sleep before he actually passes out on you, and assures you he’ll be waiting for you when you arrive in the morning.
You sit on the patio for a while longer, watching as the sun slowly sinks below the horizon, the phone still clutched in your hand. Shortly after Jungkook hung up, Junghyun texted to confirm what time to meet him in the garage.
Yet, you can’t bring yourself to head inside just yet. It’s not until the fireflies are winking through the balmy air and the moon is full and heavy overhead that you make your way inside and succumb to your own emotional exhaustion.
