HANK AND CARLY WEDDING QUESTIONS

Imagine what music they would have? What food? Would it be outside? What kind of theme, if any, would they have?

Carly is a romantic storyteller, and when you pair her love for folklore, fairy tales  and fantasy literature and movies with Hank’s love for the works of William Shakespeare, a Medieval-Renaissance Inspired Fairytale Wedding makes more than sense for the two.

The ceremony and reception are held in an old vineyard/winery/cidery located in the village of Jeffersonville, Sullivan County.

A gazebo outside provides the altar, while the interior of the winery serves as the main place for the reception.

The music would be provided by playing recording albums of Medieval and Renaissance music ensembles.

The food would be a banquet planned by Gambit, inspired by medieval and renaissance cuisine: Mixed Pickles, Cruste Rolle, Cabbage Chowder and ‘Departed’ Creamed Fish as Starter Snacks; Root Vegetable Soup, Spit Roasted Steak, Mushroom Pasties, Lamb Stew, Roasted Quail and Roasted Pork Shoulder and Shanks as Main Courses; Cherry Pottage, Rose Pudding, Cream Custard Tart and Walnut with Honey Ice Cream for Desserts, all accompanied by Mulled Wine and Cider.  

Who would they invite?

Hank’s parents, Carly’s father, their mutual friend Alec Bohlson, Carly’s closest friends from her time as a patient from the Hospital for the Blind and her theater and puppetry work, and Hank’s friends he met in his adventures with the X-Men.

What season is it? Day or night? What colors do they wear?

During springtime,  in the month of May, with the ceremony starting by day and the reception going till night time before the newlywed couple travels for their honeymoon on the next day. Blue and green are the predominant colors for decoration and party clothes, but there are elements of rainbow sprinkled throughout, specially in the flower arrangements. 

Is it traditional or do they do something wild?

The ceremony is traditional, while the reception includes outside picnic games as less traditional forms of entertainment: a Three Legs Race, a Potato Sack Race, a Tug of War, Horseshoes and a Treasure Hunt.

Did they write their own vows? Who is the person marrying them?

They choose to exchange the traditional catholic wedding vows, and they are wed by the German monk Brother Johann, a friend of Kurt Wagner.

Are they wearing suits? Dresses? Something else entirely?

What does their cake look like if they have one?

The wedding cake would be Naked Gingerbread Cake with Mascarpone Cream Cheese Frosting. 

Does she throw the bouquet for someone to catch or does she pass out one flower to everyone to let everyone know they are worthy of love?

Carly passes one myrtle branch to every guest to show everyone is worthy of love.

Do they have a party afterwards? What music?

Yes, they have a party that starts with a collective Maypole Dance.

Is it the wedding of their dreams or does something go awry?

Their friends from the X-Men take safety precautions so that no supervillain or anti-mutant bigots come causing trouble during the wedding.

Also! How is the kiss!? Do they smooch softly? Sweetly? Passionately? Does he dip her into a deep smooch? Is it a soft sweet peck?

Their friend Alec Bohlson holds a greenery garland between Carly and Hank's faces, and the newlyweds kiss through it.

What is their honeymoon like? Is it a stay at home one? Do they go somewhere exciting? How long is the trip? Or stay at a hotel? Or maybe a cute little cottage somewhere?

They take two months off to travel from Paris to Istanbul via the Orient Express, and from Istanbul they take a ship and sail to the Greek island of Hydra.

Does she take his last name or hers? Do they keep or hyphenate their names? Or maybe they both take on a whole new last name together!

Carly takes Hank’s surname, becoming Carly Anne McCoy.

How many kids do they have? What are their names?

They have twins: Leonard DeForest and Beatrice Constance.

Where do they live?

They live in a two story cottage house located in Bayville, Nassau County.

Timeline (1983 - 1998): Hank's mutant traits were apparent at birth. He was not only larger than average for a newborn, weighing in at over 12 pounds, but his hands and feet were already disproportionate in size. The doctors could find no trace of giantism in Hank or the health risks of any similar condition, but the McCoys couldn't leave it be.

They studied potential causes for Hank's condition, and became well-read on mutant theory. The McCoys had a good sense that life was going to be tough for Hank no matter what, so they resolved to provide as comfortable a childhood as they could. Hank's extended family also assisted with this. In particular, his aunts Edna and Gertrude, with how warmly Hank speaks of them to this day.

Hank received his share of taunts and jeers in school, but he claimed to have taken the attention in stride. He was a class clown in elementary school, and a prized athlete by high school, but on the whole Hank grew up preferring the company of books over people. At fifteen, Hank was reading and writing at a college level. His parents knew staying in their small town would only hold Hank back, but were hesitant to let him out onto the world without their supervision.

That's when the Professor entered the picture. He visited the McCoy's personally, divulging that, weeks earlier, Hank had sent an unsolicited paper on mutant theory to his office over in ESU. The Professor apparently laughed off Hank's forwardness, and offered to vouch for Hank should be and his parents choose to put him into college early.

Timeline (1998 - 2001): Hank spent most of his freshman year at ESU on campus, only venturing out into the city for the occasional exhibit or performance. Then on the first day of a genetics class, Hank met a fellow young student, Kavita Rao. The two became involved over the next year, but it was under the understanding that Kavita would eventually continue her studies elsewhere, whether or not Hank would come with her. Nonetheless, Hank took her eventual departure to London quite hard.

By then, Hank had already accumulated three doctorates, but lost the drive to stay and complete his PhD. He had offers from both the Professor and his own father as to what he could do next in life, but he ended up taking his own direction. Based on his love of athleticism and theatrics, Hank took to pro-wrestling. As the wrestling heel (or villain) Link "The Beast" Phillips, Hank was reportedly happy and content with where he was in life.

Timeline (2001 - 2003): Then one day, Hank showed up at the doorstep to the Professor's Mansion in a fugue state. It took Jean to pull him out of it and speak to us. He explained that he wasn't the only mutant performing in the Ultra (Later Unlimited) Class Wrestling Federation. One such wrestler was Gunther Bain, who became Hank's friend and mentor as they toured Hank's native Midwest. In actuality, Bain was a recruiter to the Brotherhood, and propositioned Hank when he had cemented their trust in one another.

Hank stressed to us that he was never tempted by Bain's offer, but he did rationalize he very well might have, had just a few things about him and his life had played out differently. The thought troubled Hank so greatly it put him in his fugue state that lasted all through his abandoning the UCWF circuit and the train ride to the Mansion. Once Jean got him back to his wits, Hank told the Professor he was fully on board with the pilot study that would eventually become the School.

Technically, Hank was more a staff member than a fellow student, brought on board as the Professor's assistant. But Hank very quickly slotted himself with myself and the rest of the "students." Being the Professor's confidante of sorts lent Hank a level of access to information that even I wasn't privy to. So when the Professor secluded himself on the news of the Santo Marco occupation, Hank was the one who gave the rest of us answers.

He told us the full history (Or at least as much as he knew about at the time) between the Professor and Magneto, and how the idea for the X-Men was one of many plans they made when they were still friends and allies. Hank was hesitant to intervene in Santo Marco, but probably due to his brush with the Brotherhood through Bain, he stood by me when I convinced the Professor that we needed to intervene.

FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS

Jubilee went to live in Los Angeles to take the courses of Architecture and Graphic Design on CAL Arts in the neighboring city of Santa Clarita, and works to later expand her knowledge and career possibilities by taking the course of Game Design in the University of Southern California.

She still keeps contact with the other X-Men, has gained more experience as a fighter to defend herself and other people in danger, occasionally joins the team to help as reserve in field missions, and has found other young mutants who are going through the same situation she went of fending for themselves, taking them to live with her teammates as students of the new school they found in New Orleans.

Scott and Jean now live in Sitka, Alaska, raising their eight year old son Nathan and their two year old daughter Rachel.

Jean works as a psychologist, while Scott works as a journalist.

Happily married, Rogue and Gambit are now the content owners of three cats: Lucifer, Oliver and Fígaro.

While being officially married to each other, Ororo and Logan also have an open polyamorous relationship with Kurt and Morph. They intend to have a child together in the future, but for now they focus on enjoying each other’s love.

Hank has reunited with Carly, and the two are now happily married and expecting twins (future godchildren of the other X-Men team members), which makes his role in the battlefield smaller compared to his other teammates since he wishes to be a present husband and father. Nowadays Hank mainly helps his friends from home as a technology expert.

Hank still referring to himself as the "Everlovin' Bouncing Blue Beast" with the extra weight bouncing on him, but additionally he's just as strong with more padding to cushion the blow of falls or impacts.

Imagine Beast with the weight and speed of a grizzly bear putting the fear of God's creation into fascist goons.

Hank being the Bear in the "Man or Bear" conundrum because he is a gentleman and will maul any sickos who try funny business in his vicinity.

Hank being a Bear in the LGBT community and thoroughly blindsided by how desired he is by putting on an X-shaped harness.
