S10E3:
I feel like the show is wanting us to think Mrs. St. John and Bill might end up becoming an item. However, I think it may be Henry that they end up trying to pair her off with. Just a gut feeling.
The show wants us to think Mrs. St. John is really suspicious and up to no good. I feel like one of two things will happen: (1) this ends up being a Mei Sou situation or (2) she actually is up to no good, but ends up with a big redemptive character arc and becomes a show regular.
I feel like if the latter ends up happening, she and Henry may have something in common. They would both be grappling with their past mistakes and dark deeds.
As much as I would love to see Henry with Abigail, it is high time he had someone in his life that makes him happy and can keep him company.

it's stupid that they had henry go after elizabeth of her second guessing of choosing Lucas. She acted so offensive like she doesn't do anything wrong .

A believable redemption arc is one of the most challenging narrative evolutions in any form of media. Sometimes, showrunners rush it; other times, it comes out of the blue after spending too much time going in a completely different direction. At times, it also occurs when viewers are long past caring about the character in any capacity. Yet, that’s not the case with When Calls the Heart and the show’s genuinely incredible way of writing in Henry Gowen’s redemption arc.
In the first season, he was so revolting that merely looking at him made me want to throw something. (This is also a testament to Martin Cummins for playing him so well.) Today, Henry Gowen is the character who makes me cry the most because his story is both compelling and hopeful. It’s an honest depiction of the fact that sometimes, people not only deserve forgiveness, but they could be the very reason why others would believe in the idea of change in the first place. None of this would’ve happened if the show hadn’t dealt with his journey as carefully as they did. The road to redemption isn’t linear, and it’s seldom perfect, but all the formidable factors make it feel earned.

Get ready, Hearties, season 10 of When Calls the Heart promises to be a wild ride! Ahead of the anticipated return of the Hallmark Channel drama on Sunday, Erin Krakow sat down with ET's Deidre Behar, where she offered a preview of all that's to come for Elizabeth and the folks in Hope Valley.
"I am very excited," Krakow said. "I have such a memory of being on set in season 1 and wrapping up the season and we were talking as a cast about where we thought the show could go. And the fact that we are here celebrating the premiere of season 10, it's remarkable. I am so grateful."
The new season picks up following the events of the finale, which saw Elizabeth and Lucas (Chris McNally) getting engaged, and expectant couple Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) preparing for the birth of their baby.
"Season 10 is packed. We are truly leveling up the When Calls the Heart experience," Krakow, who is also an executive producer, teased. "We are bringing in lots of exciting guest stars. We've don't know if they are good guys or bad guys. We have family visits, we have musical episodes -- not a true musical episode, but there is music. There's some singing. There's a tourist destination -- this hot springs in town. There's a lot of romance. There's a new baby. It's a momentous season, as it should be in season 10."
Krakow revealed the season begins with Elizabeth and Lucas enjoying the early stages of their engagement as the couple dip their toe in wedding planning. "There is cake tasting and invitations and, you know, talk of dress designs," the actress hinted. "All the good stuff. We will see them on that journey."
When Calls the Heart Season 10 David Dolsen/Hallmark But she added that Elizabeth may be the one When Calls the Heart character who faces the biggest obstacles this year.
"Elizabeth goes through it this season. She has some emotional hurdles that she has to overcome," Krakow said. "Her kid is growing up. Little Jack has all of these questions now about his father and that is a new challenge for Elizabeth. She has a lot on her plate. She is juggling a lot."
"And then you've got Henry Gowen. He is at a point where the community has really forgiven him, but he has to figure out if he can forgive himself, which is a big process for Gowen. Lucas, he has some career opportunities that will challenge him in a good way. But change is hard," she continued. "And then you have Rosemary, who is questioning what kind of a mom she might be and obviously Elizabeth is there to comfort her and support her on that journey. There is something for everyone [to go through]."
With the Hallmark favorite reaching a milestone 10th season, which will include the series' 100th episode, Krakow promised the drama is at an all-time high.
"There will be some jaw dropping. There will probably be a few moments of dropped jaws," she teased. "There's a bit of a life-or-death situation." Thankfully, no one perishes as a result of the life-or-death situation, Krakow assured, but "it gets a little dicey for a second."
And it wouldn't be When Calls the Heart without tug-at-your-heartstrings romantic moments. "We've got some big romance beats, jaw-dropping beats there," Krakow said.
"Just buckle your seatbelts," she added. "I am not kidding, it's a massive season. It's a roller-coaster. It's a fun roller-coaster."

for the fandom ask, gimme your "‘you’re piece of trash, but you’re still a fave’" fave
Oh man, across all fandoms...this is difficult. All right, I'm sorry because I know only like two people who see this (I'm ugly laughing at @pollyannaisms and @trash-god right now HAHAH SORRY) will know what I'm talking about, but Henry Gowen from When Calls the Heart.
Listen, the man was such a scumlord but he was such a fun character. Martin Cummins has such a talent and he played Mr. Gowen very well. I had a blast hating him and even rooting for him sometimes. Like, yeah he was shit but he also did mostly have the town's best interests at heart. His bullshit also gave me my favorite character (AJ) so I have to love him. I'll never be over "I don't speak Bible" or the JUICY history between him and Bill and Nora (HHNNNNNNGG SO DELICIOUS). And can I just say tHE YEARS of Bill and Henry biting one another's heads off is enrichment for me. Even my husband was eager for them to start arguing LMFAO. Oh and him butting heads with FRANK? SIGN ME UP. (Also he was good at bullying Abigail which was awful but made for good drama. Sorry Abi.)
I will maintain for the rest of my life that giving him a "redemption arc" in the manner they chose was a huge mistake.

As a fellow Henry Gowen fan, have you seen the new season? And if so, what are your thoughts on the few Bill and Henry interactions?
@renfielddearisback
I have, indeed! I’m assuming you have based on characterizing the interactions as “few.” While I’ll have to rewatch S11 to refresh my mind on specifics, I do recall enjoying the scenes Henry and Bill shared. Sure, he wasn’t one of the people to greet Henry when he returned from his trip (I remember that much), but I liked how Henry was Bill’s first choice (outside Nathan, a Mountie) to team up with when it came to finding out the identity of Lucas’s shooter. Henry was trying to have a quiet life (unsuccessful thanks to Lucas), so he didn’t take him up on it, but we later got to see them work together to try protecting Lucas/handle the fallout of things. The last episode in particular had them nearly attached at the hip - sitting together in the same booth and then the same pew at the wedding. Unless next season introduces a new (or old) character for either as a love interest (one I like), I think Henry/Bill might become my preferred ship for both. They have quite a bit in common, and the history between them is so rich.
