Lokelani Julia Wells Cooper, known to her family as Lola, died yesterday in Windenburg after living a long and full life.
Lola Wells was born in Brindleton Bay, the second child and second daughter of Makoa and Eliana Wells. She was an avid runner, talented basketball player, and world traveler. She also enjoyed anything that kept her outdoors, including hiking, swimming, and camping in Granite Falls.
Lola worked for many years as an interpreter and translator, living in Tomarang, San Myshuno, Sulani, and Mt. Komorebi, where she made numerous friends and had countless adventures. While in Mt. Komorebi, she married Cameron Cooper, a man she initially encountered when they kissed on New Year's Eve in San Myshuno.
After the birth of their first child, Cameron and Lola moved into her childhood home in Brindleton Bay, where they raised four children. When their nest was finally empty, the couple returned to Mt. Komorebi, where they lived until Cameron passed away of old age.
In elderhood, Lola married her high school sweetheart, Henry Campbell, a widower. When he passed, Lola moved into her youngest daughter's home in Windenburg, where she enjoyed knitting and watching K-dramas.
Lola Wells Cooper is survived by three children, Coco Nguyen, Jhai Cooper, and Zuri Yamamoto; eight granddaughters, Caimile Adomako, Giselle Cooper Greenburg, Tori Nguyen, Paulina Nguyen, Charley Cooper, Nina Nguyen, Ashlie Cooper, and Brandie Brown; one grand-niece, Paola Wells; and five great grandchildren, Brenna Greenburg, Lilah Greenburg, Olivia Greenburg, Etta Newberry, and Hendrix Newberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Makoa and Eliana Machado Wells; her first husband, Cameron Cooper; her second husband, Henry Campbell; her sister, Soraia Fontaine Mendoza; her brother, Keone Wells; and her son, Kai Cooper.
Lola was best known for her larger than life personality, but she will be remembered for her endless generosity and unfailing kindness. Rest in peace, Lola. You were so, so loved.

please do give us documentary recommendations, that sounds so fun (even if the content itself isnt necessarily fun, like about Ireland and the Troubles and etc). by far my favorite way to learn history is through video-formats, so, yes please, whatever resources you recommend sounds baller as hell
As you wish!
Imperative General Contexts from Documentaries:
The Queen
Poor Little Rich Girl
Paris is Burning
Town Bloody Hall
The Celluloid Closet
The Vietnam War (Extremely long and at times, greatly distressing)
The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975
I Am Not Your Negro
Abducted in Plain Sight
Conversations with a Killer: Ted Bundy Tapes
Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields
This is the Zodiac Speaking
Books I've Read (Fiction and Non-Fiction) That Have Been Insightful:
I'm With The Band (Pamela Des Barres)
Howl and Other Poems (Allen Ginsberg)
Slouching Towards Bethlehem (Most of Joan Didion really)
Slow Days, Fast Company (Eve Babitz)
The Girls (by Emma Cline)
The Fire Next Time (James Baldwin)
Junky (William S. Burroughs)
In Watermelon Sugar (Richard Brautigan)
George Harrison on George Harrison (Ashley Kahn)
The list proceeds to get long with music documentary recommendations... I'm warning you now.
In terms of music...
For real life icons, documentaries I've seen that have aided my knowledge while shaping my portrayal of them respectively are:
Janis: Little Girl Blue
Shake! Otis at Monterey
Jimi Plays Monterey
The Stones and Brian Jones
The Beach Boys
Donyale Luna: Supermodel
Fanny: The Right to Rock
Gimme Shelter
Eat the Document
Joni Mitchell: Woman of Heart and Mind
Karen Dalton: In My Own Time
The Velvet Underground
Little Richard: I Am Everything
Amazing Grace
The Beatles: Get Back
Jackson Browne: Going Home
The Andy Warhol Diaries
Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train a Comin'
Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg
Twiggy
No Direction Home: Bob Dylan
When You're Strange (This is about The Doors)
George Harrison: Living in the Material World (This is a 3 part doc, but it is directed by Martin Scorsese, so rest assured that is well done)
Chuck Berry - Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll
You've Got A Friend: The Carole King Story
Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars
Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice
In terms of '60s and '70s general music contexts...
Documentaries:
Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)
Disco Demolition: The Real Story
Woodstock (The General Concert Film)
The Last Waltz
Beatles '64
Groupies
The Disappearance of Shere Hite
Laurel Canyon
Woodstock: Three Days That Defined a Generation
Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold
Sound City
Interviews I've listened to:
Lost Notes: Groupies (Podcast - Click to listen in full on Youtube. It's so good!)
The Ultimate Collected Spoken Words 1967-1970 (Jim Morrison CD you can listen to on Streaming Platforms with loads of Interviews)
The Doors - The Lost Interview Tapes Featuring Jim Morrison - Volume One
Boston Garden Backstage Interview with Jimi Hendrix - Live 11/16/68
Joni Mitchell, Jefferson Airplane and David Crosby Discuss Woodstock Festival - Link (This is my personal favourite)
Neil Young - The Lost Toronto Interview (November, 1968)
I can't think of anything else, but I'll update you if anything striking comes up. I have been meaning to see that new Led Zeppelin Doc "Becoming Led Zeppelin", so when I do, I'll let you know if it's worth the watch.

hi! just wondering, what type of music would the gym leaders listen to? hardys little music puzzle being based off hendrix's purple haze made me sooo happy for that little geeky rock side of me and ive been thinking alot about music headcanons for the leaders since i love all kinds of music and its kinda funny to imagine Saphira being a... idk.... a Swiftie 😭?
saphira would not be a swiftie. she is very serious. definitely big heavy metal girl there.
julia though is hella into it. charlotte might be into it, but only ironically.
eve is probably into industrial.
titania's probably more the symphonic metal. amaranth and the like.
cain and aya are both into alternative.
shelly is very nice and sweet and has definitely adopted tania's taste. oops.
lin exclusively listens to siivagunner.
terra listens to bitcrushed 100gecs.
amaria would probably like bjorn.
florinia doesn't listen to music. just audiobooks.
laura's into classical. probably had to be convinced that it did not, in fact, help plants grow better. ame says she'd probably like celtic. idk what that is, but i'll add it.
arclight only listens to funky beats.
luna's definitely a trance girl. uh. pun not intended.
zero's into alternative metal. (god there are a lot of subgenres. stop making new music, people!!!)
ciel likes country but she'll never admit it. ace at least might admit it. when asked, ciel would say showtunes, and ace would say musicals.
that's all i got. this was way longer than i expected anyway, so.

17, 18, 19 and 33 for the book asks :)
RAAAAAAH THANK YOU 🫶
17. top five books of the year
out of everything i read this year (for the first time, not rereads) i'd have to say in no particular order: gideon the ninth by tamsyn muir, flowers in the attic by v.c. andrews, my dark vanessa by kate elizabeth russell, alias hook by lisa jensen, and black sheep by rachel harrison
18. least favorite books of the year
aaaaaaaugh ok so I think no book has ever evoked such rage in my as Flux by Orion Carloto and it's literally bc 90% of the book is blank paper deadass, so that would be my #1 worst book of the year. I did a lot better this year at DNFing books I wasn't vibing with bc I'm tired of needlessly torturing myself lolol but also I was severely disappointed by the midnight library by matt haig, the regrets by amy bonnaffons, america the beautiful? by blythe roberson, everything I know about love by dolly alderton, and death valley by melissa broder
19. best non-fiction books you read this year
goblin mode by mckayla coyle is a really cute self-improvement style book with tips on how to live your best goblin life and it was just a fun read all around. I also deeply enjoyed cultish by amanda montell, and trust me, i'm doctor ozzy by ozzy osbourne (the icon himself)
33. did you DNF anything?
so manny...... sooom nany . so many
girl in pieces by kathleen glasgow, princesses behaving badly by linda rodriguez mcrobbie, the cartographers by peng shepherd, on earth as it is on television by emily jane, sex and rage by eve babitz, tales of the city by armistead maupin, the boston girl by anita diamont, my best friend's exorcism by grady hendrix, perfume: the story of a murder by patrick suskind, home is where the bodies are by jeneva rose, how to kill a guy in ten ways by eve kellman, masters of death by olivie blake, cleopatra and frankenstein by coco mellors.... the list goes on. some of these i have the intention of going back to eventually, and some i just really didn't like

Dağların yücelerinden bir ses geliyor
Yavaş bir melodi
Notalarında hüzün gizli
Yüksek bir yerlerden yankılanarak geliyor
Belki de
İçinde gözyaşları saklı gaydasın'da
Bir kız çocuğu geçiyor yanımdan
Kıvrım kıvrım sarı saçları
Sonrasında melodinin geldiği yere doğru koşuyor heyecanla
Bir kadın çığlığı geliyor yakınlardan
Melodinin ve notaların derinliğine kapılarak haykırıyor
Işığı yanan pencereler
Ay bütün güzelliği ile karşımda
Yakamoz ışıl ışıl etraf, dalgalar köpüklü
Kıyıda ses var dövüyor kumsalı
Gecenin saat on ikisi
kimi zaman nefretim
istanbul'a ilk konserleri için geldiklerinde
her şeyden küsmüştüm
gitarımdan
müzikten
her şeyden..
hatayımda güzelliklerin olmamış her şeylerin anahtarıydı benim için..
penayı kayıp edişim
her şeyden kolayca vazgeçmeye hazır oluşumdan
ama yine de müziği bunun dışında tutuşumdan
biliyorum
gitarım artık jimmy hendrix, gary moore, bonjovi, ensiferum, kalmah' tan
çalmayacaktı
şu ya da bu müzik parçası değil
şu ya da bu müzik türü de
müzik
ta kendisi müziğin
asıl vazgeçemediğim..
yazmaktan vazgeçmek
şiirden, hepsinden, belki
ama
yazıyorum işte
süregiden tüm diğer şeyler gibi
her türlü beklenti,
umutlar
yorulduğunda, sıkıldığında
sırtından atıverdiğin kolayca
yalnızca zihninde ve
yalnızca bir süreliğine de olsa
müziğin yarattığı mutluluk
hiçbir şeye benzemeyen o tutku
hiç terk etmiyor beni..
üstelik bunun için
en küçük bir
çaba harcamam gerekmiyor
özsel bir bağ var aramızda..
tüm diğer şeyleri
daha çok sevmemi sağlıyor sanki müzik
sevginin nesnesi olabilecek her şeyi
bir başka özne olarak nesnesi
sevilen insanı
ve diğer tüm şeyleri
doğayı, kültürü
emek verilerek üretilen
tüm güzellikleri
melodiler, ezgiler yetiyorda
içimizin özgün bir biçimde
dışımızda beliriverişi
anlattığı şeyin ta kendisi değilse de
onun özüne en yakın duran
zamanın ve uzamın eşsiz bir biçimlenişi
seslerden ibaret dünyasında
ve sırf bundan dolayı
en soyut yaratım olsa da
bütünüyle soyut olan arkasındaki o nedenlerin
tutkuların, hüzünlerin, isyanların
belki de en somut biçimde açığa çıkışı
müzik...
beliriyor
o benzersiz ikliminin
ele geçmez ve özgün titreşimlerinde
salınıyor varlığın içinde
sürüp gittiği o akışta varlığı tümüyle
söylediklerinin kendisi kılarak
belirdiği gibi sönüveriyor sonra
ardında tüm o somutluklar'dan daha güçlü
ve inkar edilemez bir iz bırakarak
