pretty good, surprisingly. the hiatus was really needed cause social media was draining me like crazy. i’m halfway through chapter two already and i’ll probably do a re-read when i’m finished cause there are a lot of points which need to come across clearly + some foreshadowing for future chapters.

my cousin ended up spilling orange juice on my keyboard so i needed to order a replacement and it’s gonna come on the 30th. in the meantime, i’m just making some edits and writing down plot points in my notepad whenever inspiration strikes. y’all won’t have to wait too long for an update, rest assured.

As for your question, I think the deepest dive I've ever done for fic research was either just generally diving into 2011-2012 era 5sos history for unmute or the research I did on ballet companies for pas de deux! unmute in general has probably had more research and been more frustrating to research, because at the end of the day I could still make up a lot about pas de deux since i was creating a whole new ballet company, but unmute is confined by realism in a way most of my other fics aren't.
