Random Metalocalypse headcanons

Nathan: I think hes bisexual (but hides it), is deeply emotional, likes and is kind to children but doesnt want any of his own (hopes someone else will have kids he can dote on), the only instrument he plays is piano (but not super well), is straight up the only one here who is actually A Goth, is deeply deeply insecure, has accidentally become a 'can only solve problems with threats' type due to that being how he dealt with bullying. Also he has ALWAYS had vaguelly prophetic dreams since childhood, but cant tell them apart from regular ones and cant always tell if they are good or bad, so he only sometimes does what they say

Skwisgaar: i made a long post about this previously but he has complete dylexia and due to his intense anxiety and his moms general belittling of mistakes he actually is WAY worse at english than it seems like he is and he sort of just muddles through and pretends. His english is much worse when hes thinking about it, which the others noticed, which is why they rarely correct anything he says because hell go silent for 3 days. Also hes bisexual (openly before being in Dethklok) and yes he IS some kind of god child but he probably WASNT appointed for the soul purpose of making babies Toki: not stupid! not 'mind of a child'. Just immature. I headcanon that he was not of-age when he joined Dethklok and someone in Dethklok (i havent decided who is funniest yet) had to legally adopt him to keep him in the country and they kinda forgot. He only hit 21 in season 1 and while he HAD been drinking before that he really started going overboard after it got easier. Also, skwisgaar taught him english (hence same pluralization quirk) but hes now much better at it. Despite his comments about 'superior scandinavian education' he didnt actually go to school and didnt learn to read or write until he was older, but hes very good with computer codes and math. ALSO his parents arent his real parents, he was thought to be a demon child born to a member of the flock with no husband and was adopted to be 'fixed' but ended up just goign towards demonic things since he thinks hes a demon. Refuses to admit hes gay because it feels like 'giving in' to a thing that everyones always said about him. Pickles: trans or cis depending on my mood at the moment ;p Bisexual and knows it but doesnt knwo the word for it. A lot of health problems hes been diagnosed with but he always forgets about. Wears contacts (or just chooses to be blind some days). He is NOT Mollys son, actually, hes Calverts from a mistress which is why his mom hates him so much (also why his dad said he belonged in a 'garbage can', hes referencing that he wishes pickles mom had an abortion). yes of COURSE hes in love with nathan, he just like assumes its not possible and 99% of the time is okay with that. Ofdenson: for some reason i had a misunderstanding for many years that he had ALWAYS been part of the church of the black klok and so even now that i know its not true, i still prefer it. To me, this is why he is so fucking negligent-- in some way the klokateers and audiences must be a blood sacrifice for the apocalypse (or potentially to stave it off? unclear). Additionally he is largely responsible for the entire 'look' of the enterprise. I simply dont believe that half the shit in mordland were ever seen by dethklok or could even possibly have been conceived of by them, let alone asked for. My headcanon is he is the one that started the entire 'branding of the gears' thing and is responsible for the brainwashing (this i think has canon support at least)

not really but i can give you the rundown!

all the ocs i talked about in this post are in a group collaborative setting called hypecastr (it was developed by a bunch of my friends and i). they're all trolls and they live on a world called popcult, which is intensely media focused. a lot of the worldbuilding of popcult is based on a combination of alternia and late-stage capitalism specifically surrounding entertainment, with a focus on internet dynamics. hence, most of the characters have names that are meant to evoke specific tropes or ideas; hence kinnie onmain, for example, is a character that has a lot to do with kinning.

eventually they all play a game (sburb) which plays out way more like an MMO than in canon; a lot of people end up approaching it competitively and there's a lot of murder of other players, which skaia did NOT intend, and it fucks everyone over and makes it so they can't make a new world and have to go back to popcult, where groups of people survived the meteor bombardment and are rebuilding. i have tags for posts that remind me of specific ocs or pairings, ex: my tag kinnie.

more on specific ocs below the cut:

kinnie (she/her, trans woman, violetblood) is obv focused on kinning. she grew up catholic and extremely well-off. her lusus, a pigeon, was meant to go to a purpleblood instead of a violetblood but was accidentally assigned to kinnie's ancestor whorny (lusus + ancestor + charge dynamics are a little complicated in hypecastr). pigeonmom is pretty shitty as a parent (emotionally abusive) and forced her charges to hemofake as bluebloods, telling them if the fact that they were violetbloods was ever discovered, they'd be separated from her and likely be forced to go into madiacting (being a fighter in the culloseum, one of popcult's premiere forms of entertainment, which is based off the coliseum). kinnie is shy and quiet and also a bit of a bitch. at 15 she entered an abusive relationship with a much older woman that ended when she was 19, and although she'd been into kinning before that, she became positively obsessed with it in order to cope with what was happening to her. there's more stuff about her during the game but that's the tl;dr.

chaoys (he/they/it/🔥/rat/she, transmasculine dyke, rustblood) is kinnie's childhood best friend. they weren't supposed to be friends given their insanely different circumstances, but once they met at the age of like 7 they hit it off immediately. chaoys's lusus, ocemom, is really really horrible (physically abusive), and its ancestor, flayme/the arsonist, is an anarcho cap, largely absent but also really shitty when he does show up. this means chaoys largely stays w rats brother/best friend laiknd (not my oc but i had to mention him. love him). chaoys is also a communist! which is a big deal considering popcult has historically suppressed communism to an insane degree. he's also a madiactor and has been for a LONG time; they grew up poor and they needed the money. it eats at her that she's doing this stuff, even though she's now a mini-celebrity as a result (an underpaid one). also 🔥s undiagnosed mental health problems are fucking insanely bad and they do Blow Up in a Big Way.

sussus amongus (he/they/it/sun/star/moon, nonbinary, limeblood) is younger than both kinnie and chaoys (13-14 to their 21 and 20). limebloods are seadwellers in hypecastr (sort of; they're freshwater based) and also tend to have regenerative healing factors, making them ideal for experimentation. eventually limebloods made up the bulk of the popcult space program. sussus's ancestor crewer/the imposter was involuntarily sent to space when voi was like 20, along with a bunch of other young limebloods (in like. a way that's pretty much laika coded). voi died in a live action roleplay gone wrong up there (everyone got bored), leaving behind a vague journal that led sussus to believe it was aliens. also sussus's healing factor is extremely fast and therefore sun is hiding from the government as an olive, which led sussus to smash its horns to pieces as a child when they grew too large and noticeable, thinking it would solve all suns problems (note: it didn't).

cospay eltist (she/xe, demigirl, fuschia) is eighteen to sussus's 13-14 and kinnie and chaoys's 21 & 20. she had a crush on kinnie (not reciprocated), who babysitted her as a child. obviously she's into cosplay and is pretty elitist about it, and is very much into fashion. when the apocalypse hits, xe doesn't have a copy of the game and is therefore on popcult; xir lusus dies in the bombardment. her arc is about discovering herself as a femme away from capitalism. i love xir.

iyriss, thalia, huxley, and pointe are all post-game ocs and children of the main characters with their partners; leslie is a post-game oc but not a child of a main character. i love them <3

Okay so these are my main ocs from my project "The Doomed's Vale":

Matt Myers! (They/She/He); They are one of the protags of my main story!! She like supernatural and paranormal stuff and wants to become a cryptozoologist someday :] Hazel and Liam are basically his only friends and all 3 are haunted by the horrors! I associate him with this color:

Liam Cruz Reis! (He/Him); Matt's best bro! The two have been through some rough ups and downs trust me on this one; He likes fixing / creating machines and robots! He's got a lil helping bot named Pascal that is a modified roomba; He wants to go to university so he can better his skills; I associate him with this color most of the times:

Hazel Calimeris! (She/They): Alienish monster whos escape module crashed on Liam and Matt's town; Is an incredible fighter (for human standards); She has a body condition where she needs to wear a suit that helps regulate her body temp; They want to remember what happened after the crash and find her missing family! This is the color i normally associate them with!

Danny

Full name: Daniel A.Jax Fenton

-Yes his middle name is A.jax and it's entirely bc of this post and this post .

-Danny is Trans, (note the cute bracelet!) having officially transitioned over the summer between middle school and his freshman year.

-Danny is still fourteen, and is the youngest, as well as the shortest out of the trio.

-12 ounces of whoop ass, snark and anxiety. Also puns. Dear God, the puns....

-hobbies include: Astronomy, astrology, D.O.O.M and horror movies.

-Astronmy is more of a hyperfixation tbh.

-Proficient in gymnastics, having taken classes from ages 6-12, and participated in jr. cheer-leading throughout some of middle school as a flyer. Actually used to be friends with dash and paulina.

-Favorite classes involve Science and Mathematics, he’s good at understanding difficult concepts when he can pay attention. Absolutely awful at reading comprehension.

-His style hasn't changed all that much; he absolutely lives in graphic tees, jeans and sneakers. He usually wears the hoodie to cover up the litchenburg figure scars he received from the accident.

-The Accident occurred roughly a week or so before the start of his freshman year at Casper High. 

-Much of how Danny got ghost powers remains in line with the established canon, with Sam urging him to investigate the ghost zone portal, and his getting caught and electrocuted within the frame after accidentally turning it on. 

-Sam didn't have to do very much convincing though, Danny's definitely a lot more interested in his parents work that in cannon, even if they can be super embarrassing about it a lot of the time.

-And this is the point where I break off from that canon: but I'm going to make a seperate post for detailing Danny's ghost half / Phantom.

Sam

Full name: Samantha Nicole Manson

-Sam isn't an Amity park native, she moves into town over the summer after getting expelled from a fancy private school and finishing the year out online/ at home.

-At 15 years old, She's the oldest out of the three of them- having gotten held back a school year at some point for "behavioral issues"

-Sam's personality is still very much in line with her cannon counter part, although while she may still be stubborn to a fault, she knows when to admit she's wrong.

-Her revised style is really more punk, than goth.

-Sam's family is still pretty well off, as her father is the Owner of "Manson refrigerators" which has had a long-standing partnership with Dairy-King Co.

-She doesn't have a great relationship with either of her parents- they view her as out of control while she feels that they're too controling. Her grandmother is a constant mediator between the three of them.

-she's a vegetarian, she won't eat meat, but ethically sourced eggs and dairy is fair game.

-Pan-romantic Asexual.

-hobbies include: Cooking, Gardening, urban exploration, social activism, Anime, horror films and novels, and D.O.OM.

-She meets Danny over the summer at the movie theater during a horror flick marathon. After talking with him for a while, she's intrigued when Danny explains what it is his parents do. Being equally shocked that she doesn't immediately dismiss their work and call him a freak, he invites her over to see the portal...

Tucker

Full name: Tucker Foley

-Meet Danny in kindergarten, and the two of them have been pretty much inseparable ever since. He's only older than Danny by about a month.

-Was the first person that Danny came out to.

-Bisexual

-Dated Danny VERY briefly (like, a week) in middle school, which, unfortunately leads to a lot of people assuming they're still a "thing" (it's annoying but I has absolutely gotten them out of a few sticky situations *cough* fake out make out *cough*

-Not really a fan of sam at first. Tuck Actually feels somewhat threatened by her in the beginning beacuse for the longest time it's been JUST him and Danny, the dynamic duo. He gets worried that Danny'll stop hanging out with him because Sam is just SO much cooler. (These worries are completely unfounded, of course.)

-Still a tech wiz, same as in cannon. Even though I've decided I'm going to set the rewrite in the early 2000's, there's gonna be more "modern" technology. (bc I love the fact that Jack, Vlad and Maddie were in college in the 80's and also don't feel like doing math to adjust the timeline) Tucker probably still has at least one PDA somewhere cause hey, vintage shits kinda cool! But it's definitely not gonna be his go to device anymore.

-Tucker has an issue with iron deficiency...hence, an increase of red meat in his diet. The "meat vs veggies" debate is absolutely a heated issue between him and sam, although after a while it settles into friendly banter rather than lengthy arguments that have Danny pulling out his hair at the lunch table.

-Tucker hates the horror genre, cause he's a freaking wuss, lmao. But he lets Sam and Danny drag him out to see movies anyway.

-Tucker's hobbies include tinkering, computer games, (including but not limited to D.O.O.M) coding and yarn crafts.

-His grandmother taught him to crochet when he would visit her in the hospital, Tucker Actually made his beanie himself.

-Danny's the only one who knows about that though because he doesn't want to be teased for liking something "girly"

-He still has a phobia of hospitals. Watching has grandma slowly deteriorating in one is what caused it.

I think I've covered everything, but odds are I'll be adding onto this at some point.

Honestly transmasc John was the only one I COULD think of as seeing coded transmasc but I think a lof of that is John being accidentally coded trans in general. Like. I've seen transmasc John and transfem June headcanons that both stem from the same basis in canon, and which both read perfectly well as a result! And, personally? John is a big reason I was able to come to terms with being trans and what that meant for me as a transman moreso than literally any other character.

Like, John's transmasc, Dad trying to connect with John even more through things he thinks John likes e.g. harlequins could be seen as a supportive parent getting used to the new things his kid likes. I never would have TOUCHED a doll before I realised I was trans because I thought it made me too girly. Now I'm confident in my masc identity, I've gotten rid of that hatred and love watching doll customisation videos - it happens, y'know? But for trans women, it might just be more evidence of an unsupportive father trying to impose more masculine likes on a transgirl. It has connections to both sides!

He's so important to trans people as a whole even if he was never intentionally coded that way. John's a cis man. He was always written as a cis man by a cis man. I can't imagine that Hussie intended anything else especially when you consider that "I'm not a homosexual" never ended up leading to "actually I am". The whole joke there is that John's just your plan cishet guy - and it was always intended that way, hence why so much of our representation is happening post-canon (their "actual" identities in Homestuck stay unchanged, but now we're in post-canon with the main story ended Hussie's willing to play around a bit). But somehow, his experiences strike so close to a lot of trans people - and that's kind of amazing, actually.

I just wish now that we had a transmasc character who was actually coded transmasc.
