anders wondered what measures he could have taken to prevent his late wife's death , leaving behind three beautiful children to care for on his own . his eldest was more than capable of taking care of herself , as was his son who had been a teenager then but his kassandra . his sweet child , could never navigate the cruelties of this world without a northern star . and as anders had done when he was barely a man yet , prayed to the moon and swore himself and sword to the moon goddess . and when the war worsened , he pleaded for his goddess to help uphold the promise he had made to his late wife . it had been merely a decade and a half now , wars had long gone and gods had both rose and fell but ── the god still found himself seeking eden out on nights where he stood at his worst . and on this very day , it was to celebrate his brother's birthday . on his horse , anders watched the incoming flux of gods , goddess and soldiers alike ── wanting to see achillies in the flesh . lost in his own somberness to really see who approached at first - but there is no mistaking the way the wind around him stills and a wave of serenity washes over his more sharper features . expression softening at the sights of her . he knew his daughter would be in attendance , but , never does he believe eden would follow behind . though somedays , he wishes she did ── like now. but he supposes it's a selfish thought . "my eden," voice barely above a whisper as he dismounts his horse and stands mere inches away from her , a slight bow of his head . "it is with my upmost pleasure to have you here."
