Based on a real thing that happened to me and my sister (me as Stan and my sis as Ford)

She had held my foot up for a while trying really hard to pull me up thinking it was my arm, we laughed about it almost instantly after but it was still scary.

Be beach careful people! Waves can easily pin you against the sand if you don't dive at the right time.

#gravity falls #stanford pines #stanley pines #young stanford pines #young stanley pines #stan pines #ford pines #based on a true story #gravity falls comic #for any curious about “making dinosour eggs” that's also a very real thing me and my siblings did #obviously not real dinosour eggs but we'd essentially make sand snowballs and pretend they're eggs #we'd get a ball of wet sloppy sand and keep rolling it in our hands while we'd take it to the dry soft sand further up near the dunes #we'd then bury them and make sure to pat them down so they'd keep form but not too much that it'd break - it was a very delicate and tediou #then after a while we'd uncover them and ta daa!!! hence the “dinosour eggs” part of it because we'd “find” the eggs #although we did sometimes forget where we burried them so we'd put sticks or shells as reminders

#arcane #arcaneedit #gifmaking #reminder that if ur not a fan of the coloring and sharpening then i dont need to hear ur opinion so fuck off and make your own gifs :)#sooo yeah!!! just sharing this very old coloring comparison i use from time to time to make sure i follow a certain peg for my gifs #but i dont really follow it to the T of course #and now i will use the tags to rant/comment about my coloring process lmao #ok so.... arcane s2 is SOOOOO much brighter than s1 i am so so so thankful we have such bright scenes instead of all the dark ones in s1 #because it makes my life so much easier #that being said my coloring isnt really perfect i still cant handle more complex tones like the mel gif......#i used to have a more stylized coloring wayyy back in s1 (esp when u look at my old gifs) but i kinda realized i had to change it #so i scrapped all my old psds and now coloredit EVERYTHING MANUALLY #hence why sometimes i gif the same scene but theyre colored different since i never use a preset PSD now #however it became way more tedious to make gifs... so yeah.... lmao #but in the end i like it more!!! i like that my new coloring just basically matches the show more but is just brighter and more saturated #unless ofc i dont like the tones of the original show i.e. the vi gif you see there where its super green gray???? idk i dont like it so #i recolored the entire thing #anyways thats really it coloring will always be something i continue to try to improve on but recently ive just been v busy so i just #speed color and edit everything and dont rlly take all adjustments into account so no more complex tones and #i just stick to basic things #oh right sharpening! so for sharpening i use a very basic setting: just 500 px and 0.4 radius which is what i use for almost everything #i also dont add noise bc the landscape photographer in me does NOT like it LMFAOOOOOOOOOO #but yeah thats really it for sharpening oh i also use 4k sources as much as possible bc it gives the best quality and if #i cant find any source i just upscale everything by myself then crop stuff again back to 540 px and imo it really just does look better #personal tag

so i had a thought after buying a dragon from a friend

bruce the parrotlet and his "eating dome"

#flight rising #was solely bc the dragon i bought which was supposed to look like a volcano had berry firebreather #so after thinking abt it i was reminded of Bruce and his eating dome #surprised i didn't find a dragon referencing this tbh #was gonna see if i can find a breed that eats plants and use that when i get the project going #but coatl is bird-like to me bc it has fully feathered wings hence the example being a coatl lol #would have to rent a shadow nest later to get the eye color right once i get close ranges to lend but that's for later me to figure out

as much as I love batgirl 2024, I have to admit the lack of Barbara Gordon mentions in the whole series so far, especially with the first arc having such a big theme of motherhood/daughterhood and the things that comes with it, makes me soo sad. Barbara was the first person Cass actually considered as a mother! Barbara, although she wasn’t the best at it at first, truly did try to understand and love Cass unconditionally even when she was separated from the Bat mantle! And that panel where Cass overhears Barbara tell Dick that she doesn’t know how to really care for Cass could’ve been the perfect parallel to the whole “is a Mother just being connected by blood? No, Something more is owed/Being a daughter is more than being connected by blood” lines that Cass says in the last (current) issue because Barbara, though she did not physically bring Cass into this world, has sacrificed SO much for her, and in return Cass gave so much back.

#don’t get me wrong I love Cass and Shiva’s dynamic and how it is being explored.#however I DO think you can make an excellent story about the two and their dynamic without Shiva taking a traditional ‘caring’ mother role-#-she realistically did not want or care for at least since after Caroline-and essentially Shiva’s old life and softness-died #although I guess you could say that since Shiva is both reminded of her lost softness and Caroline through Cass-#-Cass symbolizes Shiva’s softness and Caroline reborn especially considering Shiva literally points this out.#I think Shiva and even Cass certainly ‘sacrificed’ for each other and Shiva does care for Cass-#-but it’s not really in motherhood hence Shiva is not ‘soft’ enough for that. And it is not sisterhood-#-because Shiva sees way too much of herself in Cass (i.e “im an open wound” line) so that Shiva cannot fully project Caroline onto Cass.#I would say it is something between those lines. But care and fondness/longing for something lost long ago does not equal motherhood to me.#anyways sorry!! back to babs and cass <3 #mainly referring to that issue where Barbara says to Cass “People will forget about me [as batgirl] and that’s ok”-#while essentially handing Cass the title as Batgirl.#Barbara sacrificed the mantle she so loved-the mantle she was angry and devastated and overjoyed and is/was a part of her-#because Barbara believed in Cass and her spirit more than hers. more than anyone’s.#Barbara gave Cass giant leather wings to take to the sky with. SHE LOVES HER SO SO MUCH SHSHDHSKSMSN #Barbara wanted Cass to experience the same joy and freedom she got out of being Batgirl. and in response Cass states-#-“I will never be as good as you” because Barbara IS batgirl still in spirit. And as far as Cass was concerned she will never be as good-#-she will never be as self sacrificing as Barbara no matter how many bullets Cass takes for people.#AND THIS IS SUCH A BIG AREA OF CONFLICT BECAUSE BABS WANTS CASS TO BE HER OWN PERSON SO BAD #SHE WANTS TO LEARN WHAT CASS LOVES AND WHAT CASS SMILES AT SO SHE CAN MAKE CASS SMILE ALL THE TIME #SHE WANTS CASS TO BE MORE THAN BATGIRL BUT ALL CASS WANTS IS TO BE BATGIRL #WHICH IN TURN MAKES CASS WANT TO BE MORE LIKE BARBARA-OR ESSENTIALLY MORE UNLIKE HERSELF-#WHICH MAKES BABS INCREASINGLY MORE DESPERATE TO LEARN ABOUT AND LOVE AND SEPERATE HERSELF FROM CASS-#WHICH THEN MAKES CASS SO DEVASTATED BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO BE LIKE THE PERSON WHO ESSENTIALLY BIRTHED HER. came up with an au idea where Shadow and Cosmo are presumed dead by the end of the explosion with the Metarex dying and Shadow has to raised Cosmo and find a way back to Mobius. A space adventure, if you will. not an odyssey, per say... but Shadow would 100% have a crash out while Scylla plays in the background.

this is for fun, I don't know how I'd incorporate Sonic or the rest of the cast in this YET but i have fun and I will keep having fun and this (as of april 16th) will be my last Sonic post for a while because another hyperfixation is eating at my brain and I want to get rid of that as quickly as possible before going back to this with my full attention

Once More, we return to Tiamat prompts.

It was a wonderful idea, really! If one of them couldn’t break the barrier, then surely their combined might would do it! And it had! It had worked, even if their remaining humanity was sacrificed. They’d done it, they’d made it where everyone could escape, could leave!

… Except for them. Someone had to close the portal. And it all would have been fine, if not for the remnants of the GIW. One last hail mary from the imbeciles, they all supposed. Trapping them here within the Zone.

Separated from their families, from the pair of children they had agreed to raise. At least their siblings would watch over Ellie and Jordan. Kyle could hide them, make sure they were safe. Jazz… Jazz was gone, the final straw in this plan.

They screamed, they raged, they destroyed in grief for those that didn’t make it, and for those who had but had nowhere to go. No portals opened, even as they tore at the green around them. They fought, any that thought they were weak, that they were merely a beast, an abomination trapped in chains of science and gold.

There was nothing that could be done, Frostbite had said, sympathy in his voice. No way to turn back the clock with how entwined they had become, Clockwork had explained. The only thing they could do was wait, Pandora had tried to sooth, despite it doing nothing.

They wrenched open the coffin in a hazy fury, tearing apart armies like it was blades of grass. Their maws devoured dead who had lost themselves and become mere husks and thralls, lashing tails ripping through armour like it was nothing.

And then as titans, they clashed with the one who had once stolen the city here. There was no desperation from them this time, no armor besides scales unbreakable as flames and storms and ice and thorns ripped islands apart. There was no desperation besides that of their opponent’s.

There was a pleasure in their victory, before it was wrenched away. What use was a crown when their family wasn’t there? When their daughter, their son, their children were not there by their side?

Paulina laughed, hysterical as ectoplasm dripped from her maw as Kwan howled. Their body was covered in it, their rampage that had no use, no reason leaving a trail of destruction behind them. Is this what they wanted?

No.

Danny raised his head from the dissolving corpses to look towards the obliterated roof of the Keep, once so terrifying now turning to dust like the crown. The crown reforming above their heads, heavy and almost choking.

They would carry this weight together. Would restructure things, would do what they had wanted to do for Amity before the Barriers. They’d work together to rebuild the Realms, make it safer, make it safe for those newly dead.

No matter how long it took, no matter how hard it would be to fix the destruction they had wrought in this meaningless battle. (“Danny, you’re the spokesperson,” Sam spoke up, thorn-like scales ruffling. “You’re most familiar with the realms thanks to the Infinimap.” Fair. “We’ll need allies, we’re only nine people.”)

(“Let me talk to the egyptian afterlife,” Tucker sounded exhausted, hood folding back. “I’m most familiar with them… Star, Paulina, you’re both Princess Dora’s favorites-”)

(“We can do it. Just give us time.” “Maybe a to-do list.” “Clockwork. We need to talk to Clockwork, he’d be most familiar with this.” “Rest first, nerds. We’re all… exhausted.”)

(Valerie laughed tiredly, blades melting to heal a broken horn. “Time isn’t linear here Dash. You know that. I know that. For once we’re the ones with time to spare.” It would take years to get things up to snuff. Make things Safe for when they could bring their families here.)

Their eyes opened as the now flimsy chains shattered, a smile stretching across the shared face of their humanoid form. Soon. They could return to the mortal realm soon. Just a little more, and they could see their little ones. They'd waited a thousand years, they could wait a few days more.
