Blood Support
During embryonic development, generation of the stem cells from which all blood cell types are derived relies on a subset of vessel smooth muscle cells that bear the Runx1 molecule – insight towards lab-based production of blood components for transfusions

Where there should be life thrumming under my skin, there is sin.
It breeds from my marrow, an unforgivable act of hemopoiesis that leaves a thick bile sitting at the base of my throat. I know to swallow (and will repeat the motion endlessly). If I cannot swallow back my desires, they will consume me.
The people will know I am a sinner, but perhaps I can avoid becoming my sin entirely. If there is but a single part of me separate from my transgressions, then I hold the potential to be loved. If my way of loving is detestable in the eyes of the Lord, I will accept his without hesitation. I am more than my sin; than the bile that builds in my throat and lungs that I cough up in continued confessions to them. I will not let them love an abomination.

gaster, what do bones do? why do we have them?
Tumblr media
"We have bones for important reasons - dare I say we would not have much of a body without them. We would lack the structural support needed as well as hemopoiesis, seeing as we would not have the bones to undergo that process. Someone without bones would likely just become a.. a formless, melting entity.."
Tumblr media
"..well, I am sure you can simply guess for yourself. Hopefully that answers your question."

Hemopoiesis
-- the process that produces formed elements of the blood
-- takes place in the red bone marrow
-- red bone marrow is found in the epiphyses of long bones, flat bones, vertebrae, and pelvis
-- hemopoietic stem cells are called hemocytoblasts
-- hemocytoblasts divide to produce various -blast cells
-- these -blast cells mature

I wanna start doing some digging in research regarding hemopoiesis related to covid, due to the hemolytic properties induced on some people who had mild cases of covid-19. Covid-19 has been known to infect the bone marrow of those who carried the disease, like it can infiltrated the brain capillaries.
There isn’t a lot of published data on this yet - this takes far more time to collect, and the method to test the health of bone marrow tedious and painful. Through aspiration and a biopsy. The closest I could find thus far was the National Medical Library article here.
A few reports on covid and its prospected effects have noted disruption in cell production, usually red blood cells which in turn induce the hemolytic anemia, among other effects from mild covid. There is some discrepancies that are difficult to track at this time, due to how new covid is to the population. We have not seen many manifestations of acute leukemia, except in older individual who recovered - either from severe or mild covid. Additional information is pending.
I hypotheses (grammar?) we will have more results in a 5 - 10 year timeline, from the early onset of the covid spread. At earliest, 2025, if the suggested data follows rewritten cells in the bone marrow.

"If you write verses about the formation of blood cells, is that hemo poetic?"
She's admittedly rather proud of that one. Nerd.

Clones at Heart
Mutations in blood cell-generating stem cells acquired with age leads to populations of distinct clones of cells whose presence is linked with worse outcome in patients with heart failure – this study provides detailed insights into why
