I've actually been thinking about this for a while since I saw this post. So, I have some ideas on how it would work.
The first episode has to be Suguroku getting the Puzzle from Atem's tomb. I know that this flashback takes place way later in the manga, but it has to be at the start in order to string the 'Shadow Games' and the 'Duel Monsters' parts of the series. The tomb would also need pictures of the monsters, as another connection. The first episode could be a longer Special, and continues with Yugi solving the Puzzle. Kaiba would have to be in the background of the classroom scenes. There long enough to know he's important, but not presented as the rival just yet.
I would think the plot beats would be something like, Gramps Mutou finds Puzzle, Yugi completes it, some sort of indication by somebody like an Item Bearer or even an odd conversation between Dark Magician and Kuriboh, but some party sensing that the Millennium Puzzle has finally been completed for the first time in 3000 years. During Season 0/early manga things, Duel Monsters could be hinted at in the background, with things like maybe a televised match of Kaiba becoming the National champion or Gramps Mutou playing a friendly, normal round of it against Yugi. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Gramps had Dark Magician in his deck, so there could be scenes where the Puzzle gleams in response to Dark Magician being played, which can help connect the ancient Egyptian Puzzle guy with a trading card.
Speaking of the Egyptian Puzzle guy, the encounter with Shadi is absolutely necessary to tie all the randomness together. Shadi has to be the first to indicate that Yami Yugi isn't just Yugi's other self, but maybe something more. More behind-the-scenes stuff needs to happen to. Things like Mokuba finding out that Yugi beat Kaiba, Pegasus watching the Death-T match, maybe even just somebody annoying like Haga in the audience at some point giving commentary. And concerning the Monster World game, the version of Zork in that game needs to be hinted at being something bigger. (Also... anime-Zorc's design needs to go, forever thank you.)
Once Duelist Kingdom is finally hit, things can proceed more closely to the original, but there needs to be little things that connect to the eventual Memory World arc, because that whole arc was never really expected I don't think.
A whole separate tangent would be about the filler seasons and maybe even Yu-gi-oh! R. Those things cannot be squashed in with the main storyline, and they absolutely need to be refined so they don't feel like every Yugioh fanfiction on FF.net. A good option would be films or OVAs. Since the Kaiba backstory can be covered with Season 0 stuff, we don't need the backstory filler. A term I like using for this stuff is 'another time, another place.' It's like the Pokemon movies being somewhere in canon, but not really part of the story. If they were to work at all, they would need to be put in the 'another time, another place' state. But just think about how much more interesting things would be if it was that way! A lot of complaints about the filler arcs is that they're too long. By having a series of OVAs or a couple of movies, all the good stuff can get condensed into a much, much shorter timeline.
I know that it would probably be animated by Gallop, but I would really, really like to see a different studio work on it. Toei would be fine by me, although I'm biased, and Bones would be amazing. (Again, biased.)
Those are just a few thoughts though.
When people are like “There should be a Yugioh reboot that fully adapts the story including the early manga” I’m like are you sure? You know that Yugioh’s story structure is batshit, right? You want a season full of random unrelated death games followed by an abrupt veer into exclusively card games for 20 volumes followed by an abrupt veer into ancient Egyptian political intrigue, which itself does a complete 180 on all of its own themes 35 chapters in? I’m not saying I wouldn’t watch it, but, uh,

I can offer you an idea of yandere alastor.. What would it be like if alastor as a child knew the reader... Like I imagine alastor as a child not knowing how to act properly like a human, and the reader as a good best friend helping him seems more human (and not because the child reader is scared of him) ... Actually, what would happen?
Wrote this instead of working on my finals hope you enjoyed it!
Yandere! Alastor x Childhood friend! Reader
Warning: Animal death, blood, its YANDERE
WC: ~1.5k
Charlie dragged the whole hotel for another ‘trust’ session, this time, she had the great idea for the sinners to share stories from when they were alive. Granted, some of them were eager to share, namely Nifty and Angel Dust, Husk would share some here or there, although it's mostly due to Charlie and Angel pushing him to. Alastor on the other hand kept quiet during the whole ordeal, until the topic of childhood friends came up.
“I had a childhood friend once, such a sweetheart. Wouldn't leave me alone to play with others!,” Alastor let the statement linger in the air, casually sipping on his coffee.
The other members of the Hotel look aat him with mouths agape, shocked and surprised at the fact that THE Alastor, Radio Demon, Dealmaker, HAD FRIENDS? Moreover, a childhood friend?? Someone stayed friends with him since they were children???
“Don't look at me like I am incapable of having proper friendships, and no, you cannot ask them about me as a child because they're simply not a sinner! Oh imagine my disappointment when I didn't find them down here,” his eyes glazed over in slight rage as he thought about how you weren't here.
Very disappointing that I will never be able to hold my beloved again. What I would do to be able to chain them to my side once more…
“Well don't leave us hangin’, whose this sweetheart of you’s?,” the white spider interjected.
He tells them your name, sighing dreamily as he starts to reminisce about the times you were together when you were children.
You were the child of one of his momma's clients, a bubbly little thing, always eager to play with him regardless of how cold he is to you.
His momma was your family's personal tailor, and by God were you a spoiled little thing. Every week you would ask for 2-3 outfits to be created for you, although it looked more like costumes than everyday wear but he doesn't complain, as long as your family treated him and his momma with respect.
Nonetheless, he refuses to be close to you, considering you as a bother, but of course, he would never admit that to you, lest he wants his momma to get in trouble.
He hasn't always looked forward to when his momma brings him to your house, namely due to you clinging to him every time you meet. There's one thing in your mansion that he’s quite fond of though, once he manages to escape from your grasp, he sneaks into the woods behind your house, gazing at all the wildlife roaming around your property.
One time, he found an injured bird crying close to him, it tried to get away from him but he eventually caught it in a tight grip, it chirped and cried but Alastor just gripped tighter and tighter until, pop!
Blood trailed down his hands and onto the forest floor below, unbeknownst to him, he had a huge grin on his face, too pleased with the mutilation of the poor bird. A gasp resonates behind him and he quickly drops the bird, face stilling at the fact that he got caught.
When he turned his body to you, your eyes were full of tears staring at his hands that he didn't bother to hide. He prepared himself to hunt you down to make sure you wouldn't tattle on his momma but your next words made him stop in place.
“Are you okay???” you rushed to his side, pulling out a handkerchief and started to wipe off the blood coating his stained hand.
In response, the child looked at you aghast, stupefied at the concern you were showing, marking yourself vulnerable to the predator towering over your much shorter build. He could kill you if he could, he can lie and tell your parents that a bear found both of you and killed you, that he tried to save you but was unable to. But then again… as you fret over him, a thought passes through his mind.
You are too kind for your own good, just like momma. Don't worry I’ll protect you.
Alastor raises the now somewhat clean hand, and he notes how you didn't even flinch at it, and just looked at him with your wide, innocent eyes. The hand lowers to pat you on the head, ruffling your hair a little bit.
“I am fine, I tried to save a bird but it was too hurt to be saved,” he shows off the bird, face devoid of any emotions.
You frowned at it and suddenly went on your knees and started digging a grave with your hands.
Alastor furrowed his eyebrows and questioned what you were doing, you responded with, “I’m digging a grave for the birdie, I don't want them to die without a proper burial.”
The boy helped you after a few moments of silence. Once you were done, you clasped your hands together, covered in dirt and blood, silently looking at him to do the same. Look at you, as a child of a rich man you shouldn't be on your knees covering yourself in filth, but perhaps he should indulge his angel for a little bit.
As you started praying he couldn't help but let the bitterness consume his mind. God wouldn't care about frivolous things like this, prayers do nothing, if it did, how come he and his momma are still at the mercy of that monster of a man he calls his father?
“Amen.”
You offer your filthy hand to him, gazing at him with a smile that could rival the sun. Perhaps the only good thing that God has done, is sending down an angel for him to play with.
“You should smile more, you look very pretty,” he raises an eyebrow at that, startled by your bluntness. Admittedly, he can feel himself flush at your compliment.
“Do you like it when I smile?” he hums, taking your hand. Both of you started to walk back to your manor.
“I do! Mommy always said ‘you’re never fully dressed without a smile’ and that's why I always smile!”
“Then I'll smile a lot for you,” he tried to smile, but it looked more like a grimace.
“You're doing it wrong! It's like this,” you show off your smile, toothy and wide.
He tries again and ultimately fails, you pout at him cutely when he failed, and he couldn't help but smile, genuinely smile at that. In response you shout out ‘like that!’, and start vibrating in excitement that you managed to make him smile.
It was almost nightfall when you eventually managed to get home safely, albeit covered in dirt and grime. What greeted you both were your father, stressed beyond belief, and his mother, on the verge of tears. They both rushed to you guys and hugged the both of you, fretting and scolding at how worried they are, they asked you and Alastor what happened and you, being the loudmouth you are, told them the story that you know.
Both adults are relieved to hear that you both are safe, they rushed you to clean yourselves up. Ever since then, Alastor has been looking forward to every visit they had to your house. And every single visit has been a learning moment for him, day by day he learns what you like and what you don't like.
You like gentlemen? The next time you meet, he offers you his arm to hold. Do you like poetry? He memorizes your favourite poems to recite whenever you're bored. Do you like food and cooking? He begs his momma to teach him her infamous Jambalaya and other comfort foods to cook for you.
Alastor molded himself to become your ideal man, the most perfect gentleman that ever existed in your life. But then…
“Then what...? But then what??” Angel exclaimed when Alastor trailed off with a cliffhanger. Everyone leaned towards him, captivated by the story he shared. He smiles cryptically, but still doesn't respond.
“Oh well, it seems like it's almost supper time, I should work on it, wouldn't want to be late for dinner hmm?”
Everyone collectively groaned at the cliffhanger, they wanted to know what happened after, but they couldn't complain much lest they want to be part of Alastor's radio broadcast.
Alastor turns away from them, humming to himself as he walks towards where the kitchen is.
But then you had to die as a saint. You had to marry that disgusting excuse of a man you called your husband, and now he killed you. My beloved, was I not enough? Was I not perfect for you? You would have been safe if you were with me… Don't worry, I made sure that ‘husband’ of yours regretted ever hurting you. May this be an offering to my angel.
A haunting scream pierces through hell, amplified by the speakers scattered around the pride ring.
Support me here so I would be more likely to write more fics 🤭

Birthday Rush
SYNOPSIS: just what do you gift someone who technically has everything and too generous to accept anything?
CHARACTERS: jing yuan x m!reader (implied) ╱ established relationship
A/N: i promised that my next x reader would be jing yuan... but this one is much shorter since school is actually kicking my ass..
WORD COUNT: 833 words.
It’s Jing Yuan’s birthday! And, unfortunately as his lover, you don’t have anything to even give him. But just what do you give someone who has everything? Especially someone who constantly insists that he doesn’t need a gift for his super special day. You can recount how many times he’s tried to turn down every gift that you’ve tried to give him, only for him to eventually take it thanks to your insistence.
Something about him celebrating his birthday too much and having nowhere to put it.. But you believe it to be complete nonsense.
Going around and asking some of the Cloud Knights for their ideas of a present but still coming up with nothing. Which left you puzzled for awfully too long. Asking Yanqing definitely didn’t help either, the teenager only suggesting more swords for his dear General. You just heavily assumed that he had heard the question wrong after that one. Taking a deep breath and looking around the Alchemy Commission for more ideas or people to talk to, you are soon stumped with another question that makes you stop everything altogether.
Just where in the world was Jing Yuan today?
Considering that you haven’t seen him all day made you come to the conclusion that he was most likely hard at work somewhere. Turning around and asking Dewei, the Cloud Knight’s Caption, about your lover’s whereabouts but all you received was an unsure answer. Which left you concerned all over again. The least you expected was to hear that he wasn’t at the Seat of Divine Foresight. Which meant that you had to play a game of hide and seek. Just your luck..
Swiftly moving around different areas in the Luofu was tiring and did nothing but disappoint you. Concluding that Jing Yuan was nowhere to be found. Which was odd. Very odd. It almost made you assume that he wasn’t even on the ship but that was until you realized one place you forgot to check. His home. Why hadn’t you thought of that before?
Traveling over towards Jing Yuan’s home and opening the front door, you were greeted by a small cat lounging itself casually on the couch before it got up and ran towards you. The cat recognized you after all. It was hard not to. You greeted the cat as normal before a soft meow came from the adorable animal, seemingly wanting to point you in a certain direction. The feline not even waiting for you to catch up.
You entered the bedroom and were a bit stunned by the sight, but also not very surprised. You let out a relieved sigh though. Jing Yuan was sleeping in today, which explained why you couldn’t find him anywhere. He was sleeping soundly in the bed and only shifting every few minutes. Which caused you to come closer to the bed and take a small seat at the foot of the bed, but then a small shift from Jing Yuan came. He was slowly waking up and it was honestly the cutest thing that you had ever seen. You got up from your spot and couldn’t hold back the urge to lean in and press a small kiss to his forehead.
Only for you to suddenly be grabbed and yanked into the bed with him. You forget how strong that man is sometimes with all that armor on.
You were effectively snuggled under the covers with Jing Yuan and pressed against his chest quite tightly but you weren’t crushed by it, only surprised by how quick the situation escalated. You were wondering about what to do next at this point until a sleepy voice came from behind you, “How delightful. Is this wonderful man in my bed my birthday present?” He questioned with nothing but pure drowsiness but also affection in his voice. It was hard not to love him even though he had practically kidnapped you in his bed.
“No— Wait. Why would you think that?” You ended up asking since it made you curious. If anything, you shouldn’t exactly be considered a present considering the circumstances but you were interested to hear Jing Yuan’s reasoning.
“I just like to think of you as one, my dear. Celebrating my birthday will come regardless but celebrating with you? That’s different. You’ve miraculously changed my long life in ways that even I couldn’t foresee. You grace me with your presence every year and I only pray to the Aeons that nothing will change that.” Came the instant reply. Which really made you wonder how could he wake up and just start saying such things like that on automatic? Must be nice.
But you had no words after that. You couldn’t deny how touched you were. That’s what made you realize that you didn’t even have to search any longer for the perfect birthday present for your dear lover.
You were the gift that he was waiting for all this time. And you planned to keep it that way.
thank you for reading <3 have a good day, reblogs & comments are much appreciated !

Head First, Always

Summary: A night out with friends leads to a chance encounter.
Word Count: 1.4K
CW: alcohol, kissing
AN: Thank you to the anon who requested this one! I enjoyed writing a Smosh story that took place outside of Smosh haha
A fun change of pace to have the reader be a stranger instead of a coworker
Title is an Ian quote from some video where they're all in party hats except Damien who is in an anime costume? Idk, I found it in a compilation and liked the idea of "head first" as like, getting to know people
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After putting on your shoes you look in the mirror, checking your outfit one last time. It's Friday night, and after the long week you’ve had filled with annoying managers and endless meetings, you can’t wait to meet up with your friends.
You’re headed to Barnaby’s, one of your favorite bars. It’s been weeks since you’ve been able to hang with the girls, and months since you’ve gone to Barnaby’s, so you are extra excited about tonight’s plan.
Satisfied with your look for the evening, you grab your purse and order an Uber. Twenty minutes later, you’re entering the bar, a few minutes ahead of schedule making you the first of your group to arrive. You quickly grab a high top table and soon are joined by your three best friends.
You order drinks and some appetizers to share, and start catching up, talking about jobs, movies, sourdough, and most importantly, relationships.
Maddie is just filling you all in on her most recent tinder fail, when another group starts setting up at the tables next to yours. They’re an eclectic bunch, somewhat rowdy, but you can’t help but notice how attractive many of them are.
You hadn’t had much to say to your friends during the relationship part of the conversation, not having been in a relationship for over a year now. The last date you’d gone on had been months ago. You were officially in a dry spell.
Hence why you notice each of the cute boys in this group. You watch them from your periphery, trying to decipher which of them might be single. The blonde ones out, the ring on his finger and the arm around one of the girls are pretty obvious clues.
The others, well, that’s less clear. There’s a fluffy haired brunette, and you think you hear him mention a girlfriend, so he’s out as well.
But the brown haired boy with the glasses. By your eavesdropping, you’re fairly certain he is single.
The goal of this night out isn’t to meet anyone or get a guys number or go home with someone. It’s not what you’re aiming for. But if the opportunity presents itself? Well, you’d be silly to turn it down.
“That boy is looking at you,” Caroline says.
You realize she’s talking to you and resist the urge to turn and look at who she means.
“Which one?” You ask
“What, did you take inventory when they got here?” Maddie asks teasingly.
“Absolutely,” you reply, feeling zero shame about that. “So, which guy looked?”
“Correction, which guy is still glancing over at you every 2 seconds,” Ellie says.
You try to keep your cool as Caroline answers, “Shorter brown hair, glasses, brown jacket.”
She’s describing the boy who caught your attention the most. But you need to play it just right, not looking overeager, so you just shrug and say, “Well, I guess we’ll see what happens.”
A short while later, the lights dim and the volume of the music increases, indicating the switch from evening to night. Normally you don’t like when bars do this, but tonight you actually like the change in atmosphere this brings.
You and Ellie get up to grab another round of drinks for your table. When you get back, you see that Caroline and Maddie have started talking to some of the people from the other group, essentially blending the two parties together.
You’re introduced to everyone, trying to catch all their names but you admittedly can’t remember all of them. Not when it’s loud and you’re on your second mixed drink. You do remember one name for sure.
Ian.
The boy who caught your eye, who had been watching you earlier, is named Ian. Your brain has absolutely filed that away.
A girl named Angela and a boy named Chance get you and your friends to dance with them, and for a while you get lost in the music, laughing and smiling with the rest of the group.
You turn, and your eyes meet Ian’s. Feeling bold, you smile, and by the way he raises his eyebrows, you know he got the message. That smile was just for him.
After another minute you decide to grab some water so you break away and head to the bar. As you wait, you sense another person slide up beside you. Wanting to play a little hard to get, you don’t look at him right away. You wait until the glass of water is placed in front of you. Only after taking a sip do you turn to the man beside you.
“Can I buy you a drink?” He asks.
“Sure, that’d be nice,” you reply.
He orders you another of what you’d been drinking earlier, confirming that he was paying attention to you through the evening.
The two of you clink your drinks in cheers and each take a sip.
“This might be forward,” Ian says. “And cliche. But uhm, I couldn’t help but notice you.”
“That’s convenient, because I couldn’t help but notice you either.”
You banter back and forth, neither of you pros at flirting, but that doesn’t matter. Slowly, you get closer and closer, until his arm brushes up against yours.
It sends a spark through you, and for the first time in a long time, you feel desired. Noticing your positive reaction to the touch, Ian purposefully reaches out again, his fingers gently grazing your forearm.
His eyes dart to your lips, and as much as you want him to just lean in and kiss you, you’re aware that all of your friends are nearby and probably watching.
“I could use some fresh air,” you say.
“Mind if I join you?” He asks.
“Oh, I guess you can come,” you answer with a cheeky smile.
The two of you head outside, waking around the corner to stand by the side of the building. You exchange looks, rather than words, and finally, Ian leans in. His hand comes up to cup your cheek, and his lips press gently against yours.
It’s soft, tentative and sweet. You gently slide your lips together for a while and then it gets heated. Ian places his hand on your hips and gently guides you against the wall. He steps forward, pressing against you, and the soft kisses turn into full blown making out.
You get lost in it, lost in the feeling of Ian against you, surrounding you. It feels good, and you’re truthfully more than a little turned on.
It isn’t until you hear the wolf whistles that the two of you are brought back to reality. The previously empty sidewalk now holds your friends, as well as some of Ian’s. You blush at the realization that you had an audience, especially when they all begin to tease the two of you.
But while you're slightly embarrassed, everyone seems to be happy for you if their smiles are any hint.
Ian clears his throat, clearly uncomfortable with the attention as well.
“Sorry to interrupt,” Maddie says. “But we’re heading to the diner down the street. You guys in?”
After sharing a look with Ian, you both nod, and all of you make your way to the diner. Unsurprisingly, your friends orchestrate the seating arrangement, making sure you and Ian are squished together in a booth.
But you don’t mind. It’s really not a hardship to have your leg against his, or have his arm occasionally brush against yours.
By the end of the night you’ve exchanged numbers, Ian promising to call you to set up a real date soon. He waits until you’re safely in an uber before calling one for himself, and texts you later to make sure you made it home okay. He may be some guy you met at a bar, but you’re impressed by the number of green flags you’ve noticed just in that little bit of time you’ve spent together.
Your friends ask why you didn’t go home together, and you try to explain that a one night stand isn’t what you want with Ian. Because he seems like the real deal, and you want more than just one night.
And when he calls the next day to officially ask you on a date, you know you made the right choice. You’re not sure what the future holds, but one thing is certain: a night at Barnaby’s has brought you exactly what you need.

Hey, back at it with another request for Genshin Impact. No crossover this time.
So this time I want to request a Furina!Reader x Neuvillette?
Furina!Reader is someone who reincarnated from our world the moment Furina was 'born' and tries desperately to keep to the plot. Basically, she has a breakdown due to stress and meets a recently reborn and very much still feral and dragony Neuvillette several years too early and well... canon goes into the trash can.
Examples being: Yandere husband Neuvillette, Furina!Reader adopting the Melusines and preventing Carole's death, Furina!Reader fostering Wriothesly because why not, oh and Neuvillette kidnaps Furina!Reader the first time he meets her and well... you can guess what happened. :)
Sorry I tried to be shorter, but I hope this works.
This is wonderful! Very interesting and love the new ideas you added into it! 😁🤩
Warning: noob author, female reader, yandere character, canon divergence a little, and others.
Character: neuvillette.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were panicking, that’s honestly all you could do considering the predicament you somehow found yourself in currently.
Said predicament was that you had somehow reincarnated into Genshin…. As furina…. And not even before one of the traveler arrives, nope! It just had to be even before furina even met neuvilette.
If your hair wasn’t already white then you would have grey hair by now from the stress you gained from reincarnating into furina….
So, you just sucked it up for now and did your best to try and go with canon with a few mild changes. But what you didn’t know was all your hard work would be thrown out the window by a certain someone soon.
You had went out to one of the beaches Fontaine had and to be alone and gather your thoughts but ended up letting out all of your frustration, stress, and worries by crying
You were unaware that you would meet someone that you loved before you reincarnated but he would be quite different to how you previously knew him.
Neuvilette or as how he actually is called in the past leviathan felt a familiar power on the bank of the beach which he calls home, he goes and investigates out of curiosity and to make sure it isn’t a threat.
He wasn’t expecting to see the hydro archon here, especially crying; her tears going into the water of the ocean which was what alerted him of her presence.
When you looked up to try and dry your tears you weren’t expecting a familiar looking man in front of you….. naked.
You squeaked, covered your eyes and looked away as if that would help as it was burned into your mind of what you saw. Your actions confused leviathan as he doesn’t know why you did it, so as to find out why he came closer making you panic as you hear water shift from him walking closer.
He leaned down to your kneeling form and took your hands away from your face. You try to focus on his face as you know it would be dangerous if you looked a bit more down, mostly to keep yourself safe as you didn’t want to pass out flustered in front of your anime crush.
Leviathan looks at the expression that you have as you looked at him; trying to keep eye contact with him though would sometimes shift for half a second.
He had a sudden thought that you needed to be his even if you were the one to have gotten his power from his past life, he still wants to have you as his…. Mate. Yes, mate sounds right, he thinks as he continues to look at you with narrowed eyes before picking you up.
You didn’t know if you were going to get killed by neuvillette or what, after all you did have his power from his previous life and he might be mad especially since this was way too early to meet him than canon so he might react differently to how he originally acted when he and furina first met so you were taken aback when he picked you up out of nowhere and started heading back into the ocean.
You had been too stunned to realize that you were being taken to his home by him; and breathing under water but you chalk that up to being the hydro archon, that you didn’t think to try and stop him, that is if you could considering he might change his mind and kill you if he isn’t planning to do that at his home.
And with that you had became his mate and wife, but to be honest you weren’t complaining as you had always dreamed of this and read fanfics about him so you guess it’s alright to indulge a little bit.
It wasn’t until a couple of weeks past that you put your foot down and told him that you were needed at Fontaine and you needed to go now. He tried to argue about it but you weren’t budging which made him reluctantly give up after you gave a compromise that thankfully he agreed upon.
You finally arrived back to Fontaine, after getting leviathan some clothes. Apparently his name was leviathan and furina gave him a nickname so as to not cause fear to fontaines people, you don’t know why that wasn’t said in the game but for now you have bigger things to worry about.
You gave leviathan the name he had in the game so the people of Fontaine won’t be as wary as they could be if you decided to keep his original name as he was known in a bad light before you brought him, thankfully only known in his dragon form so he can be in his human form for now.
Like what with the drama that started after you shared with your subjects that you were now married and was expecting a child now. After you finally settled everything about the married and having a child drama you can finally relax…..
You spoke too soon…. Right after you started relaxing you came across the melusines near their birth father’s corpse, so you did what you could only think to do, adopt them as your daughters, you hope that even though you adopted them that things would still work out, of course you made sure that Fontaine won’t have anyone bully your daughters as it would be jail time or death if they picked on your daughters for not being human like in appearance which thankfully saved Carole from what happened to her in canon.
Afterwards your son was born and then you could relax a bit, your darling husband took care of everything after that so that you could rest with luciel; the name your son was given to by both you and leviathan/neuvillette.
It’s been a year or so after your son was born and it was going great!…. Until one day your son vanished. Neither you nor neuvillette knew where luciel was and was growing worried as the day goes by. Everyone in Fontaine was in high alert until one of your daughter found him and another child together.
You recognized this child as wriosthley, and it seemed this was before he was adopted by those evil people that shouldn’t be called parents. So you adopted him and at first he was a bit skeptical as you figured he experienced many horrors that would make him feel that way and you made sure to take your time making him feel comfortable, thankfully he warmed up to all of you after you had him try tea for the first time in his life.
After some of the events from the game happened you were relaxing while playing with a cat when a disguised arlecchino attacked you. You were so distracted that you forgot this scene.
Your screams of fright was alerted to your son who wasn’t far as he had also wanted to relax as well as protect you but he was doing something that was meant to be for a second which was the golden opportunity for arlecchino to strike.
Luciel immediately sprung into action; dropping what he was holding which was a cake for you to help you relax by having something you loved to eat.
Luciel stood in front of you, protecting you from the disguised arlecchino. He didn’t have to fight her as she ran away so as to return and think more of what she should do after discovering that the gnosis wasn’t with you.
The gnosis was in your husband’s hands as you felt it was wrong to have it since it was his power in the first place. Thankfully you had a plan to take care of the prophecy.
(A/n: hope yall like it! I had fun doing this! Anyway I don’t think I have anything else to say this time so hope yall have a wonderful day/evening/night!!!)
but i wanted to make a request!! i love the idea of mizu and reader sparring with one another and the playful rough-housing becomes intimate ofc!! along w man handling and impact play, especially is reader is on the same power level, or stronger than Mizu!!
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Hey dears!
Love this request so much and was actually kinda (happily) challenged by this one, especially since I've never written anything like it before. Might be a bit shorter than usual since I've been feeling lethargic. Hopefully I was able to write what was on your mind <3
Hope you enjoy! Mwa mwa :*
note/s: not proofread, cursing, short, she/her he/him for mizu, implied afab reader
Tiny little huffs of air escaped through your nose from the physical exhaustion brought by lugging over stacks of hay. Despite the cool weather and the steady breeze passing through, sweat still lined your forehead, providing a subtle sheen.
"Aren't you going to help me at least?" you muttered in annoyance at the ronin who was calmly sitting on the farm fence, feet against the rough wood in quite a masculine manner.
Mizu raised an eyebrow at your comment. A very faint smirk, almost unseen, tugged up a the corners of her lips. Your annoyance was quite irritating at first, but now she grew to find it amusing how easily riled up you could get even when she was quite literally doing nothing. "I see no reason to do so. I am a guest after all," she quipped in a low voice followed by the sound of harrumph from you.
"Bullshit. You've been staying at our goddamn farm for almost a month now!" you argued, pursing your lips as you straightened your back. God, you could hear your bones cracking. "Can't you at least help around?"
You were a simple person born to a family whose father was an retired samurai. The lord had rewarded him handsomely with a land of his own, placing you and your mother where you currently were. Due to old age as well as the injuries your father had sustained in battles during his prime, your mother had sworn to take care of him.
Well...maybe she was taking care of him a little too much. Due to how attentive she was of him, it often led to you spending days alone and working on the land. Your mornings and afternoons consisted of taking care of the crops, feeding the animals, and carrying around various things.
Over time, your body grew a little too strong for what most men considered as ideal. Your arms were a little bigger than the typical housewife's and the scars from little mishaps around the land were deemed unsightly.
Because of this, finding a husband had become difficult for you. Most would deem you either too manly or would decline saying they would not like to wed to someone with scars like yours.
Honestly, it didn't concern you that much. You liked being alone and despite how difficult it was to manage the land alone, you were content. Waking up to warm sunlight, only having to take care of your parents, the smell of dew on the grass after rain was something you grew to love. You were happy.
Your parents on the other hand, were not. They claim they didn't want to see you grow up alone. That you needed someone who would take care of you as much as you take care of them. Even though you knew they only had the best intentions for you, you couldn't help but feel...irritated. Each man they invited over, each rejection only became an itch developing at your happiest times.
You could only imagine the joy they had when an unnamed samurai crawled into the stables of your father's horses, bloodied with a stab on his right.
While your head ached with irritation, thinking about how laborious of a task it would be to clean the stables, your parents were looking at each other's eyes, twinkling with hope of finding you a husband. They were hoping that maybe, this tall stranger who looked strong yet had a kind face, would be the one at the other end of their daughter's red string of fate.
Bull fucking shit.
You understood where they coming from. You really did. Tall handsome stranger suddenly walks into your farm when you really needed them to blah blah blah... But goddamn, were they serious?
Not only did this person have a permanent frown, they also disappeared all the damn time. Some mornings you'd carry a tray of soup over to the barn where he slept only to find it empty. Some nights you'd wake up to the distressed crowing of the chickens and roosters only to see him back again, clutching his bloodied sides.
This person was a headache on legs!
Always disappearing then coming back at the most inconvenient times. Always spreading his blood around the stables. Always needing medical attention. Always glaring at everyone through those orange-tinted glasses. Always greeting you with an annoyed sounding huff.
Worst of all? He didn't even bother helping around at all! Every time he stayed around, he just...watched you.
And yet, for some reason, your parents LOVED him. They didn't seem to mind the troubles he brought. In fact, they thought your dynamic was quite adorable. Something about opposites attracting.
Your eyes glared at him a few more seconds before you ultimately gave up, rolled your eyes, and continued to carry the hay into the barn. As you worked, Mizu couldn't help but soften at the sight secretly.
Truthfully, she didn't know why she still stayed here. She expected your parents to kick her out, or better yet, she expected herself to never return. Despite a small part of her brain telling her to help around, she didn't. If she helped around, then you'd get used to her help which will become bothersome since she planned to leave anyway. But for some reason, she kept coming back to serene view in your farm.
There was just something about it that drew her in. Maybe it was the cold breeze with the smell of grass. Maybe it was the stench of horse shit and the hint of dried rope fibers. Maybe it was the soft squish of wet soil underneath her feet. Maybe it was you.
Something in that horrible frown of yours just seemed so amusing to her. The way your muscles stretched as you moved things around or tried to keep the animals from going too far just reminded her of her past—just remove the bad parts. A part of her finds it all endearing.
Her thoughts were cut short upon hearing the slam of the barn door and grass crunching beneath your frustrated steps.
"Oh for fuck's sake!" you whined, hand on your hip. "Help me out!" Your hand shot out and gripped her wrist tightly, knuckles tensing as you shifted your weight to one foot and pulled him down.
Dirt and soil smushed underneath Mizu's feet. His eyes widened at your strength before narrowing at the smug victorious smirk on your face. Before he could control himself, his other hand grabbed your opposite hand, putting his weight to his heels and pushing against you.
Your eyes widened at his action but before you could utter out a complain, the upward tug of his lips made all the words on your tongue fall flat. This was the first time you saw him smile. The slight curve made your heart beat a little faster than you would like it to. It drew you in, slightly intrigued and something you just couldn't identify. With a challenging glare, you began pushing back against him.
"If I win, you're going to be mixing chicken shit into the soil until the seventh sunrise," you growled playfully, pushing back a little harder.
Mizu's smile grew at the sight of challenge on your face. His hands interlocked with yours, making sure it was a fair game for both of you, before he leaned closer, pushing all his weight towards you.
He huffed with a hint of amusement at your statement and gave a slight nod of agreement. "Bold words," he breathed out.
Mimicking his technique, you planted your feet harder against the soil before taking a heavy step towards him, forcing him to take a step back. You smirked a bit wider and looked up at him, brain freezing for a moment as your eyes met.
He looked...happy.
Well that was until he suddenly pulled you in instead, grabbing your shoulder with one hand then pushing you to the ground, straddling you.
A soft laugh left her upon hearing your gasp, laugh cut short as you reached up and pulled on his collar, twisting it and pulling it sidewards. Lifting your hips up, you pushed him down to ground. Now it was your turn to laugh.
"How'd you like that?" you mused at him, raising an eyebrow cockily. "Not fun now that you're losing, huh?"
Hearing your laugh, feeling your weight on her. It all made Mizu feel so warm. The heart she trained to grow unyielding felt fuzzy. She was happy.
Mizu laughed at your banter, letting you push down on her. "Not bad," he responded, smile smug. Suddenly, you felt his legs wrap around your abdomen and with one fell twist, he was on top of you once again. His hands gently yet firmly held your wrists down. "Just not quite good enough."
A soft gasp left you as your back collided with the soft grass. Wriggling your wrist, the realization of your defeat dawned on you. Your lips pursed into a pout, eyebrows furrowing, and your eyes narrowed at him. "Not fair. How am I supposed to do that? I can barely move my legs in these clothes," you huffed, pout melting into a snicker.
Mizu laughed at your musings before slowly getting off of you, patting and swiping the dirt off of herself. "Oh don't blame your clothes. It's just a skill issue," he chuckled, helping you up and dusting some of the dirt off.
"As if you'd know." You rolled your eyes at him and groaned. "Men have it easy. Wearing pants and all that."
She chuckled softly, a soft amused breath leaving through her nose. There were definitely some days she had the same thoughts back then. "Trust me. I know."
The statement felt odd to you somehow. It felt as if his words held more than what it seemed. Turning your head towards him, confusion and curiosity came over you. You raised an eyebrow at his words, lips pursed into a straight line. "What do you mean?"
Silence swept over the two of you for a moment before you suddenly felt the weight of his hand gently pat your head. The cool touch of his hand against your warmth soothing you somehow. "I just...know."
BTAS pre-production stuff/official designs and artstyle stuff
Don't mind the title, I'm a bit naff at titling things...
I'm sure people have made posts about it before, but just in case there's anyone that doesn't know, there's official documents on BTAS floating around the net. Things covering episode writing, bios, a bunch of art that animators would have used. Whole lot of stuff.
I've seen people ask questions/have discussion on things like imitating the style/character heights/other general things. These documents are all official and might be helpful so, hey, might as well share for those not in the know.
Gonna keep it short (I'll provide some links so you can check out for yourself as there's a lot I won't cover) but I'll outline some stuff that catches my eye (first bit is about pre-production and ideas they had, second bit is stuff about how they went about drawing/designing the characters)
Pre-production
In animation, it's standard to have a thing called a writer's bible, also called an animation bible. They include everything from plot synopsis, character/concept art, character bios, episode ideas, basically the whole nine yards. These are used mainly in the early stages to pitch ideas and get projects greenlit, but are also kept around as a handy shortform thing to summarise the whole project as much as possible.
As it turns out, the BTAS writer's bible has been extensively documented! There's a PDF of it actually! And if you don't want a PDF, there's a website that covers all the contents too.
As per writer's bibles, it has a ton of their ideas and direction they wanted to take with the show, from episode structure to joke writing right down to how much settings should be able to change per-episode. There's a whole lot of art too! Here's a snippet about some of the changes they wanted to make with the Dark Knight himself:
And just for fun let's also leave some info about how they approached writing Bruce Wayne:
Anyway! On a more interesting topic- some of the rogues. The bios of most of the rogues are included, as are some art of earlier designs. Riddler looks like a sleezy car salesman and Joker is kinda just missing his lips and has stripy pants is seems.
Also of note: in some alternative timeline somewhere we could have had Calendar Man and Gentleman Ghost in BTAS...
As for character heights... The height chart is sectioned into "head" height for Batman's head. The uppermost line is Batman's height, so Batman is 8 Batman heads tall. While it can be hard to make out some of the character heights due to the poses, it'd be safe to guess that you do take poses into account on the height chart. Two-Face is shorter on the chart than Harvey is for example but you'll notice that Two-Face's art shows his head tilted down slightly, so Two-Face isn't actually shorter it's just his pose.
You'll notice these characters are uncoloured. The colour palettes featured are an interesting point that deserve their own post. I'll touch on them another time.
Style Guides / Character Sheets
Style guides tell animators how to correctly draw characters. Can also be applied for things like backgrounds and props and the likes though, whatever feels needed to be noted to keep consistency even if other people are drawing the characters.
Character sheets are character sheets. 'Nuff said. These just show off a character looks from different angles. Expression sheets showing how character emote, art on full-body posing and sheets on hand poses are things that also tend to be covered in animated productions.
Can be found here and here. A lot of overlap in the art shown between the two links but they're absolutely full of character sheets and turn-arounds. There's definitely a lot more design documents I've seen about in other places, but alas, I can't track them down for the life of me.
Here's some highlights:
(When Twoface blinks only his good eye closes completely. His injured eye only partially closes)
("John Crane")
Some early character art:
~~~
If you made it this far then congrats here's some Batmen for your troubles
#I hit the max image limit on this post#h#Actual characters refs provided by the links I added. Too much to cover in one post otherwise#Hoping link rot won't bite this post in the ass years down the line#text post#batman#batman the animated series#btas

So uhh I got bored so I wrote another part to the TB as baek-ah Idea to stave to boredom off lol
Sorry for the spelling mistakes if I made any
.
The dark saint was a marten.. Him.. This tang bo? A marten? A snowy white one too
All the other beast have tried to fight him
He beat them all up despite his size. Serves those animals right, daring to try and take on the dark saint incarnate himself..
He'd tried to to get as much information as he could from what happened after the war yet it was already hard to get as a marten.. Not to mention the fact Yunnan cut itself off form the rest of the central plain..
How annoying
Anyways what was up with these people's fascination with his hyung-nim?
A few days after that thought he got his answer by some people fortunately passing by talking about before the war such luck!
Wanting to know more he moved closer but hid behind some greenery to avoid the people spotting him
He eavesdrops on one of the people lecturing (from his position) lecturing the younger about the their past.. He listened to them explain on how the plum blossom sovereign had helped them
(that selfless stubborn taoist.. He thought)
He turned away from the scene like a coward
Trying to forget painful memories of a certain pink eyes man
He'd continue to walk around the grounds with his marten body before settling under some rocks and falling asleep
He'd always thought about leaving but realized that being in a body such as this one could be dangerous and decided to just wait.. His hyung would laugh and have that smug look on his face teasing this tang bo.. Outrageous he'd never allow that his pride would not let him!
That was until he noticed a group of disciples.
Curiousity took over the dark saint as he trudged over slowly paws softly touching the ground as he surveyed the disciples..
Until he was met with a shadow of someone he knew..a long black pony tail a green ribbon and pink eyes he'd never be able to forget about
After all those lovely pink unforgettable eyes that comforted him until his passing had been one of the last things he saw before his death
(welp I'm done this took less time and doesn't have much it's shorter and has some mistakes but I tried my best)

Meeting Reimagined; Keith
Author's Note: It's been a while since I've written for Duality, even though I think about it a lot. And I'm back with a new MC, Tytus!
Tags: @dualityvn
Tytus sighs, annoyed by the cold rain pelting him harshly. As he jogs, he notices the flower shop he’s walked by everyday. He heads that way, figuring that the rain won’t let up for a while still. He dips into the shop and lets out a relieved breath. The floral air invades his nose while he looks around, making him hum in content. He jumps as a soft voice ahead of him says “Pretty bad weather today, huh?”
Tytus looks ahead at the counter, finding a tall blond man with blue eyes. The man gives him a shy and apologetic smile. “Hello, hi, sorry, I was in my head a bit. Yeah, the rain’s terrible right now,” he responds while giving an awkward laugh, “Is it okay if I stick around until the rain’s gone?”
“Oh, yes, that’d be fine. Feel free to look around while you’re here,” the blond cashier nods as he speaks. Tytus nods back, not giving him a second look. He scans the store, looking at the arrangements and other potted plants. After not finding what he’s looking for, he steps up to the counter. “Excuse me, do you have Bat Flowers?” He asks, scanning the cashier and finding his name card on a lanyard around his neck; Keith.
“I’m sorry, we sold our last two this morning,” Keith says after a minute of thought and checking somethings. Tytus deflates a little, but desperately tries to rein in his reaction. “Oh, okay. Thank you,” He says. “We could take your number and call you when we get more?” Keith offers. “Ah, no thank you. I appreciate the offer though,” Tytus declines easily but he keeps talking, “but I would still like to get a plant. Do you have any recommendations? Preferably something that wouldn’t hurt a cat if it got eaten.” Keith lights up at the question.
“Of course! Spider plants, Echeveria succulents and Bird’s Nest Ferns are all pet friendly. Spider plants are actually notorious for being non toxic to animals. Boston Ferns are another option, but they're a little harder to care for,” Keith continues to explain how to care for each plant while pointing them out. Tytus watches him as he speaks, mesmerized by how outspoken he is. His passion would be obvious to even the most oblivious person. His whole body radiates joy and a bit of excitement. It’s a bit infectious, at least it is to Tytus. The green and black haired man can’t help but give the slightly shorter man his full attention. When Keith is done explaining, Tytus hums before saying, “I’ll go for the Spider Plant. You said they were over there, right?”
Keith nods and Tytus goes to retrieve it. As he carefully sets it on the counter, Keith asks, “Have you cared for any kind of plant before?”
“Yeah, actually. Mostly herbs and cat grass, though. I use the herbs when I’m cooking,” Tytus internally reminds himself to leave out any mentions of spells or potions. No telling how this guy would react, for now at least. He continues, “I used to have catnip, too, but my cat found and destroyed it when I wasn’t paying much attention. I haven’t had many plants that were there to just look nice.” Keith chuckles a little. As Tytus pays for his new spider plant, he notices that the rain has stopped. He looks back to Keith as he picks up the spindly plant. Before he even thinks to stop himself, he says, “Could I have your number?” Wait, fuck, shit SH--”Sorry, that was really sudden. You don’t have to agree to that.” He tacks that on, not sure if he’s already fucked up somehow.
The blond blushes as he registers the question, “Oh, I’m flattered!” His expression morphs quickly into one of sadness, “Don’t take this the wrong way. I think you’re very attractive and you seem like a nice person, but having my number isn’t a good idea.” Tytus’ brows knit together with confusion but he quickly shakes it off and nods. “That’s alright. Thank you for at least humoring me, and for helping me with the plant. Bye,” He says this as he walks towards the door while giving the blond a smile. He ducks out as suddenly as he came in.
Right as he starts walking home, a shiver crawls up his spine, tickling his neck and making him look around. He spares the shop window a glance, seeing Keith through it. He’s looking back at Tytus, but missing the polite smile. And something about his eyes seem……off. I don’t think they were like that before. He shakes it off and hurries away, content to get lost in his thoughts while minding his new plant buddy.

Chapter 10: The Move
Summary: Prowl takes a trip to Blasters den.
I had no idea how this was going to work. Prowl did not trust the carrier at all. The cat much preferred the top of the bookshelf over any boxes. Blaster and I were having a bit of a staring contest with the cat. Prowl, without breaking eye contact slid the dragon candle off the bookshelf and onto the floor. Then it sat down and continued to watch us.
“Do you see what I have to deal with now? This cat is getting on my last nerve and he had the guts to try and act cute after attacking someone.”
“He’s a cat. They’re territorial.” He snickered at me.
“Uh. Will you just take him. I can’t have him chase off another guy.”
“Fine, fine. Get the carrier. Get a few toys for the ride and we’ll go.”
“Uh, toys?”
“... You’re kidding right? Please tell me you’re kidding.”
“Uh…” I suddenly had the feeling that I was in danger.
“Jazz. Have you really not gotten him anything to play with?”
I didn’t have a response for that. None that he would like anyway.
“He’s a cat. An animal. It isn’t good for them to Not play. They are active creatures. This is going to shorten his lifespan.”
“How? He seems fine.”
“Animals need to be active like we do. Or they get fat and get illnesses. They can get diseases like we do. Animals can get heart disease, they can get cancer. They can have liver problems. Plenty of problems can stem from them being motionless.”
“In my defense he doesn’t seem too interested in playing. And he occasionally makes a run through the house at different times at night.”
“Because he doesn’t have any toys! What is he supposed to do with all of his excess energy?!”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’ll get him something.” I tried to quell my friends temper and get the lecture to stop.
“Yeah. This cat is coming with me. We’re going to have so much fun he won’t want to come back.”
“I’m not that bad. Come on, dude.”
“You are a terrible owner. I should have given you a book on pet care and cats or something. This is my fault for letting this go on. Just… go get the carrier. Go.”
Taking the dismissal as it was I went to the closet and brought out the little box. Now was the hard part. Prowl already knew something was up. It took a good half an hour of hisses and scratches before we got him in the freaking box.
“Good luck?” I offered.
“I’m not talking to you right now.” And off went my friend with a box full of angry feline.
--------------------------------
The sibling had come over today and I took that as my cue to go up to my sentry post. The only problem was that the obstructing thing was back. I stared at it, making sure it was watching. They both were. Good. It wasn’t connecting the dots, but the sibling was much smarter so maybe it would explain the situation. I slid off the object and sat in my sentry spot. That would have to do. I’d teach it as many times as necessary, but this was getting a bit ridiculous.
And they were communicating. Maybe it would explain and this wouldn’t be a problem anymore. They chattered for awhile before it suddenly got quiet and it got up. I watched it and my hackles rose when I saw the prison box. They advanced on me and I fought back. Unfortunately their larger size once again bested me. The transport was much shorter this time around and I was quick to notice that this was not the foul smelling place. It smelt like… the sibling. And when the door to my prison opened I was left alone.
I waited there for a long while before I felt comfortable to inch out. This was a den… The siblings den. But something else lived here too. I could hear the sibling interacting with it. Then came the bark. Ah. The sibling had a dog to help it hunt and guard the den. But… why did it want me here? I set out to investigate. I explored the area. Peeking into other areas of the den. This den had obvious signs of many creatures having lived here. Dogs don’t scent mark the area with claw marks and scent glands in their paws. And this warm spot had obvious signs of a cat being here. But… the scent was long gone. It didn’t live here anymore. So off I went.
I trotted into what was obviously the sleeping room, but it was obvious the dog slept here too. There were chewed bones around the den, all of them in various states. And then I discovered the perfect box. Only a small open entrance and it was closed on all sides. Perfectly safe and dark for naps. I moved in slowly. This space was perfect, but then I understood. Its last resident had died… and died here. It was faint. It had happened a while ago and soon the scent would leave forever, but… I withdrew. I’d claim it when the scent fully faded. Protecting a den this large was hard work and if they died in battle then they deserve respect. So when the scent and spirit had finally gone… then I’d take it. It would be a waste for such a space to be uninhabited. So I took a place on the warm spot. I needn’t protect this den with the dog here to do it, and the sibling was competent. Speaking of the sibling it was going through something now. The large dog as happily watching the sibling.
“Dog.” I called out and it turned, tail still fanning the air. “I want to ask you something.”
It approached and simply waited without a word.
“What happened to the last resident that was here?”
“Huh? What last resident?”
"The cat. There was a cat that lived here at one point.”
“Oh. He was old when I got here. He died a while ago.”
“How?”
“I dunno. He just got sick one day and never got better. I liked him a lot. We used to play together. I miss him. He misses him too. We were a family. Are you going to stay here? Will you play with me?”
There was that word again. Family. Families split apart when the kits got old enough. Then you never saw each other again. If they were a family and it wasn’t a guard for it then why were they still living together? The dog was old enough and strong and the sibling could hunt and was healthy as well. It didn’t make any sense.
“No. I have to return to the den I currently share with another. It needs all the help it can get. So once your charge gets what it needs from me I’m going to go back.”
“Aw. But we can play while you’re here right?”
“I don’t have time to play fight with you right now. I need to figure some things out. Now explain to me why you’re still here.”
“What do you mean?”
“Families split apart when pups and kits get old enough. So why are you here?”
“Oh. Human families don’t really do that. They stay together for a long time and sometimes they don’t split at all.”
Humans. Now I had a name for the species that it was.“... Like the cat that died here?”
“Yep.”
Strange.
“Alright, kitty cat. Lets see what you like.”
We looked up when the sibling came out. It held various items.
It took me some time to figure out what it wanted, but soon enough I understood that it wanted me to train. It wanted me to practice hunting with these things. So I chased the round noisemakers and killed and rekilled the fake squeaking mouse. And I was rewarded with a glorious meal. While the dog hadn’t done quite as well it was rewarded just as sweetly. It had spent most of its time running around and bringing things back. It was after my meal that I understood why I was brought here. It was to catch and kill That.
It was quick and obviously too agile for the dog. The red creature had no scent and made no sound, but it was quick and had no problem climbing the walls and clinging to the ceiling. It was quite the daunting foe. I had chased it for hours. Whenever it seemed that I had caught it, it had somehow slipped away. The sibling was watching from his perch on the warm spot. It had to be afraid of it, that was why I was here. I couldn’t let it down. So I chased and pounced until it finally disappeared. That hunt was exhausting, but satisfying.

i dont send asks often and am kinda nervous but i discovered this blog after starting a fantasy worldbuilding thing ive been doing and i want to ask, should i be considering like, physics and the square cube law? it feels silly but i want my designs to feel plausible and biologically accurate, with my own twists on fantastical creatures.
dragons, specifically, are usually very large creatures, they also often fly. these are traits i want to keep, and have it still feel fantastical, but here are obvious issues here. there is magic, and it is connected to the world, and i could do something like changing gravity or atmosphere, but just saying it's magic feels like lazy cop-out, and changing the laws of physics is too drastic not to be explored, which feels to extreme for one creature. am i overthinking things? can i just handwave this sort of thing? i often don't see fantasy settings explore that sort of thing so idk im kinda lost here
You can hand wave a great deal of things and still also make fantasy creatures that feel plausible. My centaurs have the unusual biology of being born with extra limbs and ribs because they're all chimeric twins. I'm pretty sure it's genetically implausible for an entire species to be born with such remarkably consistent fused anatomy like that. But it's just enough of an explanation to make it feel a little more believable.
For dragons, I like to remind myself that humans have created airplanes at least as big as the average dragon and they work just fine. So maybe you can research how planes work. There are engines, certainly, but planes stay in the air despite being giant heavy metal tubes because of the way their shape interacts with air currents, essentially. So instead of flqpping a lot like a smaller animal, maybe your dragons are more like long distance soaring animals. Albatrosses come to mind. Getting off the ground is another problem, which can be solved by having the dragons soar from high places like cliffs and mountains.
You can also look to prehistory! The quetzalcoatlus was a pterosaur roughly as big as a giraffe and as far as science has determined, it could fly and even launch itself into the air from flat ground.
Here are a few more tips for making large dragons believable:
- bird bones. Contrary to popular belief, they're not completely hollow and they're not actually much lighter than mammal bones. But the open spaces and the mesh-like structure inside them give them a different sort of density and strength that helps them fly, as well as providing more space for internal air sacs that actually help them breathe more efficiently. (I'm on my phone right now, I'll add a source for that later) and we have evidence that this sort of air sac also existed in large dinosaurs like the diplodocus. Dragons probably would need similar structures in their bones.
- hot air balloons. Hot air rises and dragons breathe fire. Make use of those extensive air sacs and fill them with hot air! How dragons manage to have so much heat inside as reptiles is something you can hand wave with magic or find various science-type explanations for doeending on your mood. I like the idea in dungeon meshi where the dragon has a second stomach-like sac for the indigestible parts of its prey and uses that for fire fuel! It's very clever. Dragons may not be as thin and soft as a balloon, but having a body full of air sacs that carry hot air is a reasonable explanation for how dragons fly despite their size.
- wing shape and body shape! Long distance fliers that soar more than they flap usually have very long, narrow wings. And most flying animals also have shorter, rounded bodies. The dragon wing membrane should cover their whole side, from the shoulder to the hip, with a really big wingspan. Their tails probably shouldn't be all long and whippy and full of dense muscle, but maybe they can be flat and broad to catch air or maybe the wing membrane extends to the tail. Maybe you have tailless dragons! Just don't let the tails add too much weight or they'll make flying a lot harder.
- propulsion. One magic explanation I think would be interesting is if dragons used magic like airplane engines. Trying to work out magical gravity fields and atmospheric magic is cool and fun. But it seems like it would be easier for dragons to just have magic jet engines if you want to use magic to explain their flight. And it's fun!
I hope those are all helpful ideas! Dragons are cool and I love to see people messing around to make them more believable. There is nothing wrong with using a little magic fudge in fantasy worldbuilding either! It wouldn't be very fantasy if it always had to follow a hard science system. You can leave that to the scifi genre haha. But if you're going to dive into realism in fantasy, it is more fun to see people really dive deep and get weird with it and explore all sorts of interesting extra details, rather than just dipping a toe in and hand waving the rest. Maybe it's just the neurodivergence in me, but I always have more fun with fantasy stories if it feels like the creator had a real passion for the weird details and didn't just follow a standard fantasy template.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 100 FOLLOWERS ! — i genuinely can’t believe i’ve come this far with posting my brainrot for hazbin. it has and will continue to be such an honor to keep posting for you guys, and to celebrate you guys i’ve prepared a little something for you guys, hehe!
requests.
i am willing to do any requests you guys might have which includes art, gifs, character ships (radioapple, huskerdust, etc) and of course character x reader ships despite generally being an x reader blog. though of course as any sane person would, i am not entertaining angel x val.
some fics along the way …
i have been cooking up something specifically for lucifer though nothing is confirmed yet except for the fact that i want to make a longer fic for him (AT LEAST 10k words long), but i’m kinda having trouble for the plot so this kinda connects to the first thing which if you have any ideas for me to write i am implore you to hit up my askbox, please! i’m gonna need all the help i can get! i’ve also gotten a radioapple worm in my head and the premise is too good not to act on though i will say it will be shorter than the lucifer fic. because of this both of these will be on my ao3 so stay tuned!
selfships.
i thought it would be cool for you guys to tell me a bit about yourself and then from there i pick a character from hazbin/helluva (depending on which show you prefer) that i think you would like/be with romantically (or even queerplatonically for the aro/aces out there)!! i’ve seen other people do this as well and they do 3-pic moodboards sometimes and i’d love to do that for you guys! or if you guys wanna go in depth i could also make short fics dedicated to you personally upon request!
get to know me + qna!
besides all the stuff that’s stated in my pinned, i’ve been writing since i was 10 (i am 18) and i’ve wanted to be a published author for the longest time, though as i grew older i realized there’s a lot of other ways i can get my stories out to the world, like screenwriting, animating (or being both the creator and writer of my own show AHEM totally not talking about hazbin) so i’m not really sure of things yet, but i will say i’ve learned a lot about writing since i first started and even though i know this is all for fun, i take the way i write things seriously, so any constructive feedback you might have will be valuable to me! anyway, i have A LOT of opinions on everything hazbin/helluva so you can ask about those or more about me! i’m a very open person so i like to give in depth responses. but yeah feel free to ask about my opinions on helluva/hazbin as well as my personal life too!
another thing i wanted to disclose about myself since i feel comfortable after having met such wholesome people after starting this blog, is that i have been through abuse very similar to angel dust’s meaning his character meant a lot to me and he was my favorite character when the pilot first came out so yeah! definitely ask me about angel too if you have anything to ask!

Shape Shifter Skywalkers Au
yet another Star wars Au/fic idea lol
so you know how the Ones/Mortis Gods can shape shift? The Skywalkers can do that too, (specifically into dragons but other animals too) but because they’re not being made up by entirely by the Force, they have different rules and limitations for it. For one, the longer they go without changing, the more irritated, anxious, and off footed they are but that’s not really noticeable until like 2-3 years of not form changing. They don’t really ‘unlock’ that ability until there 8-10.
Anakin never really figured it out. Living as a Slave and then as a Jedi, with both having strict rules and expectations, he never really got the chance too. It wasn’t something the Jedi would have thought about and at the time, Anakin was both uncertain of his place in the order, and was learn to be free/adjusting to life in the temple. His lack of shape changing contributed to both his obsessive/possessive behaviour and his fall. I don’t really have ideas what he would look like in his Dragon form had he figured it out.
Luke figured out how to shape change the easiest and the earliest. While he had to help with the farm and things, at 8 he didn’t have a lot of responsibilities yet so he had more free time. His dragon form is adapted to be able to move in the air and sand as well as water, but not so much forests and the like. I image him moving through the air like Phalanx from ‘Shadow of The Colossus.’ He is very long, six wings and six limbs. His neck is covered in fur. His scales, and fur are sandy coloured and his horns look like craggy rocks when he is buried beneath the sand. He also has gold markings.
Leia had less freedom to do just do what she wanted as a princess but she was still able to figure out. She shape changes less then Luke does. She is also suited to the water, but she’s more suited for forests than deserts. She’s shorter in length than Luke but she is bulkier and more muscular as well. She also has six limbs and a furred neck but only four wings. Her scales are brown, her fur is dark green and has silver markings.

STEAM SPRING SALE
I decided to go through games I already own + have played, see what's on sale, and make some recs.
Crypt of the Necrodancer (2.99) -- a rhythm roguelike with a thriving mod community and multiplayer. tough but rewarding. i have over a thousand hours in this game you could say i like it a fair bit. definitely pick up the DLC
Downwell (0.79) -- action platformer where your only actions are falling and shooting (from your gun boots). unique, fast paced, and satisfying. cute 2-color graphics, unexpectedly banger soundtrack. also this is insanely cheap jesus christ
Inscryption (7.99) -- horror that dumps you into a remote cabin playing a sinister card game with an ominous entity. one of those kinds of games where its hard to say too much about it without spoiling it, but it goes Places. also has a cool roguelike mode
La-Mulana (3.99) -- puzzle-heavy metroidvania. play as an adventure archaeologist exploring a cursed ruin that houses the secret history of all civilization, with all the obtuse traps and constant death that entails. will drive you insane one way or another. not for everyone but if you click with it this will probably blow your face off
OneShot (5.99) -- simple but emotionally affecting game where you, the player, are a part of the story. melancholy and funny and hopeful in equal measure. probably buy this immediately if you liked Undertale. fun fact, this was originally programmed in RPGMaker XP and i have absolutely no idea how that was accomplished. blood magic probably.
RPGMaker MV (11.99) -- speaking of RPGMaker. this is the second most recent version (MZ is the current one, minus that unity-based thing nobody likes) but the two are more alike than they are different. easy to use but also crazy flexible if you put in a little more effort, and there are tons of community assets for it available
Spelunky (3.74) -- 2D roguelike platformer. fun with a lot of weird secrets to discover and chaos to be had. the sequel seems even better but i haven't played it yet. this game is also really hard and i have never beaten it lol
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions (8.03) -- not really a game, sort of a co-working app that lets you set ambiance sounds and do shit alongside your dress-up avatar and cute critters you collect. has light productivity tools like a pomodoro timer, to-do list, habit trackers, that sorta thing. honestly does help a lot for me.
Angels of Death (4.99) -- peak RPGMaker horror imo. i once called this "jeff the killer for people who played chrono trigger" and i mean that in the best way possible. exactly the right combination of thoughtful and extremely stupid. i think there's an anime of this?
APE OUT (2.99) -- one of the most stylish games ever made. play as a gorilla escaping to freedom. commit unbelievable carnage backed by an organic jazz soundtrack that reflects your actions. be warned that this one is also hard tho
CARRION (5.99) -- horror action platformer where you play as the monster. escape, devour, infect, ooze through the ventilation ducts, get larger with every human you shove into your gross maw. shorter than it should be IMO but immensely satisfying
DEADBOLT (2.49) -- 2D assassination simulator from the makers of Risk of Rain. play as a reaper tasked with sending the undead back to hell. almost more of a puzzle game than anything else. you die in one hit so make sure every bullet counts.
Endoparasitic (7.49) -- horror game where you play as a guy with only one remaining limb and a parasite burrowing into his brain trying to escape an alien infested lab. really don't think there's any other games out there like this. very tense.
FAITH: The Unholy Trinity (7.49) -- lo-fi horror game with a distinctly 80s vibe. a priest returns to the site of a failed exorcism and descends into an occult nightmare. truly unsettling use of clunky synth voices and rotoscoped animation. you might have seen me reblog gay fanart of this one.
Kingsway (3.49) -- turnbased RPG where everything is accomplished via a fantasy version of Windows 95. keep your desktop organized. a really solid example of the genre that's also extremely quirky. we love to see it
The Shivah (1.49) -- point-and-click adventure about a cynical, down on his luck rabbi in NYC investigates a mysterious donation to his struggling synagogue. a very different type of story than you usually see in video games, excellently told.
Strange Horticulture (6.39) -- play as an herbalist in a town full of secrets and drama. Identify plants, understand their mystical uses, and provide solutions to your customers' problems -- or make everything a lot worse.
might have a few more later

Hey, hope you’re doing well! Came up with another worldbuilding question that I think is pretty cool (and also is what I’m hyper fixated worldbuilding at the moment).
Myths, legends, folktales (are fairytales the same thing? Think it’s more so cautionary tales??), creation/origin myths, those kinda things. Any ideas on how to create them? Or if pulling from a premade (?) one, how to make it uniquely (or not, you do you) your own?
Slight ramble of my thought process incoming (you can absolutely skip this, these are just my personal thoughts and questions I asked myself while trying to figure out worldbuilding this specific thing):
—-
Also, just to say beforehand, obviously the detail level could be as big or small as someone wants (though more often shorter and simple stories are more common. Also because I don’t think the average world builder wants to make what is essentially “The Epic of Gilgamesh” or “The Odyssey” in their world. Unless they do, in which case good for them) so let’s just assume whatever because if I keep overthinking the specifications of the question I’m asking this is going to get stupidly long. Would be a nice convo tho
ANYWAYS, actually getting into it, I know that there are a LOT of things to consider when creating those type of things for the lore/world one builds, as well as inspiration. There’s the thousands of already documented mythology and stories told over time, the way the details change depending on who tells it (if it’s not recorded. Oral storytelling and interpretation of the cultures and people in the world and all that), and just a lot of resources to pull inspiration from. There’s also the point of building/creating the stories and considering separate accounts done and details recorded by others interpretations of the “original” story (might be a bit more complex but imo I feel like it could make it feel more nuanced).
Of course it makes sense for these type of things to be exaggerated, the details, to give it the story vibe that most have, but what would count as too much? Too little? Or would it not count since, again, it’s a silly little story made (presumably) by the mortals of whatever world you’re building to try and help them understand how the world works and come up with engaging ways to teach what they think is true or a unique anomaly at the time.
Does it matter if the story has purpose such as a lesson to teach children (cautionary tales to get kids to behave or just understand the danger of certain actions or, in the case of gods and mythology, why you really shouldn’t try and say you’re better and be rude to them lest you get chained to a rock and have your liver eaten for eternity or something)?
Or if it’s just a silly tale for how mortals think some things come to be (like certain plants or animals or day and night and all that jazz; concepts be it actual things or make-believe)?
Or perhaps as a way to justify their way of life or connect to their roots?
Off-my-head example from my own wip worldbuilding concept being a tribe of people who follow in a lightning/storm gods foot steps see lightning scarring (the fractal kind. Also as a result from using their magic. Yes they are essentially lightning benders. At this stage of development anyways, I gotta lot more but that’s unnecessary rambling so…) as a sign of honor or that they’re chosen by the god since that god has similar markings and origin story (myth) of how they came to be or something like that, if I’m making any sense at all.
If you want to go into a broader thing, how would other cultures view or interpret each other’s stories? Disdain? Intriguiue? Would they get into a “erm, actually, MY version is the better/true/whatever one because ____”?
If you really wanted to go into the deep end, would older stories you make for a specific (most likely) ancient culture be the base for other culture’s own stories? What would the interpretations be then? Revered? Debunked? Disney-fied (okay maybe not that one but who knows)?
—-
Ramble over, hope that wasn’t too annoying having to read through, and also again, those are personal brain thoughts on how I would consider taking the task on and structure things and I probably answered them all myself (aka literally anything goes, you’re the god of the world, make outlandish bullshit. Honestly might be good for lore).
I simply like to be as thorough and thoughtful as I can. (My Worldbuilding process is essentially a lot of tiny scattered puddles that are deeper than the Mariana Trench. I come up with a concept, deepen it way too much and move onto the next.). Also I like rambling and having thought discussions even if they’re one sided, it’s great brainstorming (so on that note, thank you for hearing me out lol)
BUT BACK TO THE POINT/QUESTION I AM ASKING (because otherwise this would get even longer)
How would you personally go about drawing inspiration and creating interesting (or not interesting. Again, really anything goes) Myths, Legends, Folktales, Fairytales and stories as such?
Feel free to answer in as much or as little detail as you like, hope this isn’t too much of an annoyance or issue (overthinking).
Hope this wall of text isn’t a mess or hard to get through, do let me know if you’d rather I not include the brain ramblings of my thought process/analyzing everything. I understand if it’s a lot of annoying (apologies if I forget in the future if the answer is to not include it)
Hope you’re having a wonderful rest of your day/night and are taking care of yourself, staying hydrated and all that jazz :]
-idk (@idkanonymystuff .just in case I forgo I sent it again. I have the object permanence of a newborn baby lol)
Stories are very important to cultures, traded around from person to person.
Myths, Legends, Folktales, Fairytales in Worldbuilding
Inspiration
There's actually a lot of places I like to draw inspiration from. Some of my favorite examples of this kind of storytelling IRL include...
Native American Folktales (and really folktales from around the world)
Japan's Yokai
Ancient Myths
Ballads (The Devil Went Down to Georgia, Noel's Lament, Hallelujah)
Fairytales
Epics
Campfire Stories
Biblical Stories
Urban Legends
And some of my favorite inspirations and examples to see in worldbuilding and fiction...
Watership Down's stories of El-Ahrairah
Bard songs in D&D
Vault legends in Fallout
Origins of legendary Pokémon
Legend of Zelda, like all of it
The metro gossip in Metro 2033
Curse of Poseidon in Siren's Lament
Creepypasta
Ghost stories in Hanako-Kun Toilet Bound
Creation Myth of the Sun & Moon in My Little Pony
Luke Humphris' post-apocalypse animations
There's also tons of good videos I can suggests, and places to start. In Creative Writing class working on fairytales and creation myths is something we dabble in to get us starting in this kind of worldbuilding mindset.
I wish I had access to some of the creation myths people cooked up because they were beautiful!
Here's some videos I like

Music & Storytelling
Music can play a huge role in cultural storytelling. It helps people actually remember the stories, and recite them to others.
In fact music alone is about human nature. You can find it in every culture around the world, and hear the beautiful voices of recently contacted tribes of Papua New Guinea setting out on their morning voyages. It is only natural that we tell must tell stories in these forms.
To Tell Lessons
Similarly to how music helps us remember things, so do stories. Stories serve many many many different uses, including entertainment, but one common use is also to teach lessons.
Whether these lessons be religious, for survival purposes, or just genuine lessons of goodness; there is a story for it.
What kind of lessons we can see in a culture's stories depends on the environment they're in. A society that only knows the forest is going to have tales that include poisonous berries, apex predators, and forest creatures. A strictly religious society is going to have primarily or almost always religious themed tales.
To Tell History
Passing on history is incredibly important, and even ancient cultures knew that well. In a time without the printing press or the internet it was difficult to maintain historical stories, and storytelling helped with just that.
However there is few things as fluid and ever changing as stories when passed from person to person. All it takes is for one group to put a religious spin on a historical account, or remove a specific character from old fairytale. Sometimes we see this because a culture loves a story but feels that their people would connect better if it was closer to home, that's when we have things like Romanized stories of Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Greek tales.
We even see this in the early origins of Christianity with Mithraism, or colonizers arriving in the Americas and hearing Native stories.
That's why we have two very different, but same overall lesson told story of the Wendigo and the Skinwalkers.
To Explain
Of course stories also play a role in offering an explanation for something we don't yet understand.
Whether it be the mysterious disappearances of people, natural disasters haunting ancient peoples, or wherever the hell the other sock vanishes to stories serve a tool fill that curious void.
This is especially seen in ancient societies or fairly religious cultures.
Passage of Stories
Stories become easily lost. As mentioned earlier it is near impossible for a story to pass from one person to another and not experience a little bit of change. All it takes is one damaged disc, one dead elder, or one great fire and thousands of stories are forever gone. We see this discussion a lot with lost media and the subtle importance of pirating.
I think it's fun to think about what changes the stories in your worldbuilding have gone through.
From translations, to colonization, to merchant gossip, to religious overseeing, to rewriting.
How did these stories reach your worldbuilt society?
Story Within A Story
When it comes to writing and video games we see the infamous story within a story, which is what worldbuilding these kinds of things is trying to effectively achieve.
There's many different ways to perfect the story within a story when writing. I suggest if you're struggling with this in any way to look into advice from other writers, because I myself am not very good at it in writing. My expertise mostly comes from it in worldbuilding.
