(For real though, two situations where someone who has totally immersed themselves in ridiculous romantic writing tropes and misreading the room but with wildly different outcomes)

I get why people didn't like the new helluva boss short, but if you say something like "well we didn't get anything new/insightful to the show! No new lore"

THEN YOU IS WRONG

We learnt that angelic protection/protection against demons IS purchasable in the human world implying alot of things. 1 being that a cherrub could bless an item to protect you if you've done a good deed but aren't dying OR angels can bless things and give them out, like how Versokia did with her concerts, just more ethical.

We learnt what attributes could/would be included in a sinner design and look when they get to hell, and he the way they died, what they were wearing, the obsession, personality and personal objects may affect their appearance. Giving hints to other sinner and what they could have been doing/what they looked like or their personality when they were alive.

Like Husk being the stereotype of a cat. And Niffy only having 1 eye, being a reference to how she lived, how she died or what she was like (maybe she was a on-track person in life. Never really compromising too largely or simply being a metaphor for not looking into situations more and being too naive or in this case blind to the truth)

Another thing we learnt is that Blitzo is VERY EASY to find, making the theory of the people he's killed coming back to kill him more believe and possible, as the girl from the short said that she saw his build-board. So he's definitely not hidding.

And finally, the fanfictions the girl wrote could either be foreshadowing of season 2's ending (I'd recommend Sarcastic Chorus video on it) OR it could yet again be a jab at people who look too deeply into things. Like what I'm doing now.

Being a hint that not everything should be taken seriously, and that people get so engrossed in their fanfic and theories that they actually believe it to be cannon, even when stated otherwise. Making their own interpretation only to be disappointed and made about it.

Like with the amazing digital circus and Jax thing. He was never going to be a "hot", appealing, false antagonist and re script was written for him WAY before his release so they didn't really change his character. The expectation of Jax being the main love interest got to people and many were disappointed when he came out to be EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID HE WOULD BE LIKE

So maybe a similar situation idk

Chapter 9: Lucifer's musical dream sequence

A.k.a. The 'Heathers: The Musical' chapter

Summary: Having spent days in a mostly unresponsive state Lucifer's brain is now trying to come to terms with what happened. Charlie and Angel help him fall asleep with a frequently listened to playlist and it launches our dear king into a musical sequence while his brain battles with restoring his memories.

Teaser:

The new guy won, easily, and Lucifer was, if possible, even more impressed. Only one punch had truly landed on the guy but it had unfortunately caused his nose to bleed. Once the fight was broken up and people were sent on their way, Lucifer made his way over to the new guy and handed him a handkerchief.

“Thank you.” The guy said, regarding him with some suspicion before pressing the offered cloth to his nose.

“Luce! Come on, let’s fucking go!” Vox called from across the cafeteria and Lucifer sighed, waving to him to hold on.

“You’re bowing to the swatch dogs and diet-coke heads? Pitiful.” The guy commented.

“What?” Lucifer scoffed, turning around. Seriously, the audacity of this guy! What was with the attitude?

“Clearly, you’ve got a soul. You just gotta work harder on keeping it clean. ‘We are all born

marked for evil.’” He said as if that clarified it and began walking away.

“Uhm, excuse me! Don’t just quote Beaudelaire at me and then walk away. I didn’t even catch your name.” The blonde threw back, puffing his cheeks up. The brunette halted and smirked over his shoulder in a manner that made Lucifer’s knees weak.

“I didn’t throw it.” He shrugged his shoulders, keeping his hands in the air in a mid-shrug. “But I will end the suspense. The name is Alastor. And you are?”

“Lucifer…Morningstar.” He replied.

“Well then, Lucifer Morningstar, perhaps I’ll see you around.” Alastor said before sauntering off.

Lucifer stared after him, left completely speechless. Never before had anyone moved in so swiftly and turned his world upside down. He found himself awfully fond of the way his name sounded in that voice and wondered when he would get to hear it again.

“Jesus, could you throw your panties at the guy any harder? You’re practically drooling, Luce!” Vox scoffed, getting in his face to snap him out of it.

It's taken quite a considerable amount of time this time around, but I have finally found my way back to doing some traditional art. Stolas is and will forever be my favourite Hellaverse character, hands down. And it feels like these demon forms are a great opportunity to draw something that isn't a perfect, pretty face. (Eventho drawing pretty faces is so much fun and I will never stop doing so)

FYI the new short has a couple hints to proshipping, so it’s basically vivziepop venting about how ‘antis are sooo crazy to hire a hit on a proshipper :((‘. It’s so fucking cringe. And then the proshipper weeb in question literally sexually harasses Blitzo (in the same way Stolas does) because he’s a demon and she’s into that- proving that she can’t tell fiction from reality, so maybe the anti was right for hating on her lol

I haven't watched the short and don't plan on doing so, so I have no idea how correct your assessment is.

I will say I've seen a few threads comparing Emberlynn (and occasionally Burnie) to Stolas that have been quite interesting.

I will also say I saw someone mention how Emberlynn is an obvious reference to entitled proshippers and considering how Vivienne has called out/mocked the fandom in Helluva Boss before, I couldn't help but wonder if she had a secret agenda releasing this short. After all, it doesn't contribute anything to the overall story lore-wise, and it's not expanding on the any pre-existing characters nor the Helliverse like Vivienne claimed all the shorts would.

Idk. Just the fact that quite a few people are saying "Emberlynn didn't deserve to die!! she wasn't evil, she was just cringe!!" makes me think this was Viv's plan all along.

Carmilla Carmine, Sera, and Emily connection.

And the further I looked into it not only did I A. think it made a lot of sense I took it a step further and discovered something interesting. Carmilla has a lot of similarities to Sera and Emily. Starting with physical similarities Sera and Carmilla have a similar build and she and Emily have a similar skin tone. Sera and Carmilla also have a similar eye marking? Around their eyes.

Both of them have a feature on their eyes that looks like feathers behind their eyes. In fact, Carmilla's eyes are an inversion of Emily's and Sera's eyes. With Carmilla's having red sclera and Emily and Sera having a bluish grey sclera. While their eye color is all the same being white with a black pupil.

Their makeup is also very similar to each other. Carmilla wears black lipstick and has her nails painted black. While Emily and Sera have black lipstick, and their nails are painted white.

Their faces also look very similar when turned to the side.

In some concept art Sera's hands actually look more similar to Carmilla's hands. That may be not how it ended up in the show it's still interesting to point out.

Another thing I want to point out is the personality similarities between Sera and Carmilla. Carmilla is very orderly, strict, commands respect, and she hides things to protect her family. Sera has shown to have all of these traits as well. They also have the mentality it's okay to do terrible actions for the greater good. They also will o to great lengths to protect their family.

So, looking at all these similarities in personalities and physical I think Carmilla might be Sera and Emily's mother. I think it would add an interesting layer to why she wanted to stop heaven and hell from going to war. It also kinda explains why she would want to protect her daughters so badly. If she is really a fallen angel, then she lost her children once and doesn't want to lose them again.

I don't think Stephanie Beatriz was the best casting choice for Vaggie.

HEAR ME OUT

Every character in the show is voiced and sung by their VA. But most importantly (in the context of my take), their singing voices STILL SOUND LIKE THE CHARACTER. Alex Brightman is the most damning piece of evidence here. He voices multiple characters in the Helliverse and they still sound like that same character when he sings. Pentious sounds like Pentious when he sings. Adam sounds like Adam.

This has NOTHING to do with Stephanie Beatrize's talent and skill set. She voices Vaggie well. She sings well. But her singing range is NOT as low as her speaking voice for Vaggie. The voice she uses is below her range, and the difference in sound is MASSIVE.

After the angel reveal, I considered making an angelic exception that the higher singing voice was just a heavenly trait. BUT, the we have Lute. Lute's singing voice still maintains the edge of her talking voice.

So while I LOVE Stephanie Beatrize and her work, if they wanted the low edgy voice of Vaggie then I think the VA should've been someone who could talk AND sing in that range.

It just....bugs me that I can hear the songs and know which character is singing but I need to remind myself that Vaggie sings in a higher registry.
