Anyway, thoughts now that I’ve finished the season

- really wondering why the emperor chose to reveal the fact that Fan Xian is his son, and do it at this specific time. What does he gain by it? (The novel spoilers could probably tell me, but I’m avoiding all of those.)

- I needed to see everyone’s reactions to the parentage reveal and there were hardly any from the imperial family!! Except from the Princess Royal, whose reaction I cared about a lot less than the Second Prince’s! But he didn’t get to have a proper reaction of his own because his feelings took a backseat to hers. But he had to have so many feelings!!! You can’t tell me that this little gremlin who’s been obsessed with Fan Xian didn’t feel a lot of emotions upon finding out that they’re brothers!

- though I guess for him murder (attempted) is an emotion

- the Crown Prince got even less of a reaction—we see him after the fact. But what did he think!!! I know what he told his mom in that chilling conversation, but what does he actually feel!!

- also the Crown Prince never resembled his father more than during that convo with his mom. My god. She’s telling him her traumatic backstory and his reaction to this is like, wow, yeah this is hella difficult for me politically. I think it’ll be fine though if you beg an apology from the guy you just said you wanted super dead. Oh, was I insensitive? Sorry. Here are some tears. (He’s looking forward to the time when he won’t have to pretend to cry or care anymore.)

- even the First Prince’s reaction would be interesting. This troublesome kid he met is his brother. Does he even care? Then again, he seems to have checked out of the family entirely, minus his affection for the Third Prince. But he looks at the Second Prince and the Crown Prince like he’s internally dreaming about being as far away from them as possible at all times. He’s so “not my zoo, not my monkeys” with them, he doesn’t even care when Fan Xian maybe poisons the Second Prince. What’s another brother to this, especially one embroiled to the neck in political struggles? Maybe he views Fan Xian, the Second Prince and the Crown Prince as enrichment in each other’s enclosure

- the Third Prince so doesn’t get what’s happening, I’m not sure he even actually understands that Fan Xian is his brother. I think he has long been schooled by the First Prince to keep away from all political struggles, and also that knowing as little as possible is a great virtue. But now he’s a duckling who’s following Fan Xian, who’s likely to instil different if also useful lessons

- also Fan Xian may say what he likes about the Fan ancestral hall, but I’m pretty sure the emperor will have Thoughts about it. Because we’re circling back to the original point—the emperor revealed Fan Xian’s identity for a reason. I don’t think Fan Xian slinking away and saying, “hehe, nothing to see here, just an ordinary law-abiding Fan son,” is going to cut it.

- (if not for that, I could’ve seen the emperor being content that his secret kid is running the Imperial Treasury and the Inspection Bureau, and so both these powerful assets effectively are in his descendants’ possession. Others would’ve thought he’d given them away, but mwahaha little do they know he’s kept them in the family. And he could’ve let Fan Xian stay an uncontested Fan if that were his goal. But why drag his identity into the light? What is he hoping to achieve?)

hey!! i kinda need advice

so uh I'm a freshman and for our midterm exams we sit with sophomores. in a very jumbled order. this happens every year during midterms/finals and I NEED to be sitting next to someone who's nice bc i need mental support. so like, around 2 monthsish ago we had our first midterm and i checked the seat next to mine and read the name tag to figure it out who I'd be sitting with. well it wasn't a stranger but it was someone I didn't really like? as in when we were in grade 4 and 5 our batches had a sort of concert/play thing and we were both in choir and she was kinda bossy

but anyway that's from like 5 years ago. so the first day I didn't talk to her because yeah 😭 but eventually we started talking. then one fine day, i had my chem exam and she had her geo exam. i don't know why but after our exam she wanted to see my question paper but the examiner was counting our answer scripts. in order to not get caught, she took my paper and quickly gave me hers so both of us HAD a qp but unfortunately the examiner saw buttttt she was pretty chill and didn't mind. and this girl, her nickname is "Glasses" because well she wears glasses (how original) SHE SMILED AT ME AND I WAS LIKE WOW WHAT WHY IS HER SMILE SO CUTE THO

Lots o' rambling ahead, proceed at your own risk!

My brother has applied to various universities and heard back from a few (all acceptances so far! smarty!) and now it's more waiting and eventually some decisions to make. It's exciting! It's also hella stressful for these kids. He confided to my stepmom that he feels like the choices he makes will set the course for his entire life and he's terrified. Factor in all the newness of the entire venture and he's overwhelmed.

My stepmom shared with me that she's a little disappointed that he isn't being more adventurous i.e. going "away-away" to school. She wants him to branch out and live outside of California blah blah. And look, the kid has lived in the same house his entire life and is still best friends with guys he met in preschool. Even if he moves to San Jose that alone is a bigger change than he's ever experienced thus far. Plus, he has his entire life to live all over the world. He might transfer or do study abroad, or get a job who-knows-where. Also a little ironic that when he expressed interest in an out-of-state school, my parents sat him down and crunched the numbers and it was pretty fucking terrifying! So now it's bad that the kid is being practical? Jesus Christ.

I told E about all this and we both remembered feeling the same way at his age: like one misstep meant a life of misery and loneliness lol. If anything, digging in and doubling down on a decision screwed me over more than changing course. I'm also worried about my brother's mental health; I see a bit of myself in him and don't want him to struggle more than necessary. Not in a "must protect at all costs and bubble wrap him from the world" but just like... see a therapist, dude. If you need to take a semester off, do it. There's no prize for feeling like shit!

E asked if we should suggest a hang and talk to the kid and share our experiences. E didn't have quite the mental health struggles I did but also didn't have a lot of family support and wants to be there for him. And I think a chill, general chat isn't the worst thing, but we have to pick our moment for sure. It'll be a series of conversations and check-ins, probably.

Idk bro. I couldn't figure out what I should replace him with. Bro found out Omega pirated the latest Mario Party game and decided to jail Ultra M instead of him because... Why not?

Overdue: Hypno

After noticing that Omega and Ultra M haven't been seen in a while, MX searches where they were last seen and finds the computer they opened in the beginning. He turns it on and- oops. He just got sucked in. He wanders around a bit and finds a Hypno. Being a bit confused of his current situation, he goes into False Hero and the song starts. Hypno then reveals himself and MX, panicked, transforms into Pipe Crawler so he could stomp on the ground and send shockwaves to Hypnos way, trying to stun him. This fails and MX decides to dip, transforming fully as he tries to run away.

Paranoia: Corrupt Daddy Dearest

Reason why it's Daddy Dearest specifically is because the corruption just wanted to rub a shit ton of salt into M's wound lol. Halfway through the song the Corruption manages to take control of Omega and corrupts him. Really cool shit happens and the songs over.

Powerdown and Demise: Xenophanes

Wow what a surprise. Powerdown starts off with Xeno in his faker form and in a somewhat normal Green Hill Zone before he transforms into his True Form. Green Hill becomes coated in some dead animals and blood and shit. Near the end of the song, Xeno says "So many souls to play with, so little time... Wouldn't you agree?" Before he grabs Omega and bashes his head with a crystal, essentially killing him. Demise starts with Ultra M running away from Xenophanes for obvious reasons through a burning Angel Island. The scream section takes place in You Can't Run and once it's done it transitions to "...". M and Xeno continue running until there was a void. Not taking any chances, the two jump into the void. Xeno falls into the void and M was about to fall with him but fortunately Omega catches him. Things seem good but then Xeno reappears in a big ring, causing Omega to panic and fly really fast (He doesn't drop Ultra M once the cutscenes over don't worry) and it ends with them entering a ring portal.

Promotion: Monika

The cutscene starts off with Monika trying to do a promo video that'll get more members to join the Literature Club. Just before she could properly start, a ring portal opens out of the cutscenes view and Ultra M and Omega drop out of it, breaking her desk. Monika is understandably confused, and she asks them who they are. "Uh- Who are you guys?" She asked, to which they respond with their names. She doesn't know what to do with them. But then she gets an idea. "Hey, how would you guys feel about joining the Literature Club? We really need some new members. Plus, you could help me with this promotion video I'm doing for the club!" The two contemplate about it before agreeing. "Great! Let's begin then!" Ultra M nods, he pulls out his microphone and- Hey, where'd it go? Seems like Omega stole his microphone. Turns out, Omega wants Ultra M to take a break and let him do any upcoming songs (That means Omega will sing for Abandoned and The End) since they just barely escaped a near death experience and wants him to rest. M doesn't put up and fight towards the idea and let's Omega do the song. And so, it starts! Halfway through the song, a silhouette of Sayori being hung appears causing Monika to become less lively and Omega and Ultra M becoming a bit concerned. Suddenly things go haywire when it transitions to Monika sitting in front of the screen. Then the song ends.

Unbeatable: The unbeatable cast (Still)

Honestly, I just thought I'd would be really funny if Unbeatable was the only song that wasn't changed. Not only are they unbeatable, they're also irreplaceable too ig.

Bonus: Game Over! (Xenophanes)

This one is non canon to the AU lol. Happens in-between Secret Exit because... Why not? After Omega's Act in Secret Exit, he dissolves into a black sludge and finds a warp pipe. He figured it was normal, so he entered it and was taken to... Angel Island? Huh, weird. Well he could just take the warp pipe back and- Oh it's gone. Shit. He explores around for a lil bit before finding... Sonic. He decided to engage in a rap battle with him. After a while, Sonic's disguise breaks, revealing it to be Xenophanes. Omega quickly gets outta there before Xeno fully transforms and starts chasing after him. After the song ends, Omega gets cornered. And it seems like he's about to die... Until Giga M shows up. He throws a POW block at Xeno and stuns him, grabbing Omega and leaving Xeno's world so they can get on with the final act.

He had to have a good reason for canceling cause he never really did and when he was out of town he was hers so in reality she was just sad.

Some hours passed by and she got bored of watching movies so she decided to text one of her friends who had moved here for work. "What you up too tonight?" She texted simply making her friend facetime cause she thought it was a cry for help.

"Oh I had to make sure you weren't tied up no where😂" she says while laughing "no I'm just in your city hoe just got here a few hours ago and I'm only here for two days... wanna get me lit tonight? "Yesss that's cute I actually packed a dress that color should I wear something else or you wanna twin tonight?" "Any time we dress a like we be on demon time.... Let's do it" "okay bet I'm sending you the address I should be ready by the time you get here even if you leave now" "okay bet can't wait to see you" "byeee💋" they both say and YN hangs up she smiles at least she had faux Locs so she didn't have to worry about her hair. She'll just put on some lashes and lipstick with her hoops that should be enough for tonight after all wherever they go it'll be dark. She does a quick wash and lotion and then slides into her dress.

Within the hour her friend was downstairs ready for her. YN grabs a small nude bag putting in all her important things wallet hotel key pepper spray instant flats just in case her heels were too much by the end of the night and she rushes down the hall to the elevator and down to the main lobby where her friend was waiting. "So it's actually in walking distance right down the street you look amazing" her friend smiled as she talked YN did a cute turn so she could get a full 360 view

"your dress looks even better in person I can see every curve you got boo and I can see your ass from the front it has to be a good night" "let's get it started then" as they walked out of the hotel and down to the club they caught up about how life was going and work YN left out the small detail about being a side chick that wouldn't go over well.Plus she didn't want Melos business out in the streets. They were friends but they didn't meant she wouldn't capitalize off selling his business people get crazy about situations when money gets involved.

When they got to the club the line was extra long making YN become annoyed "maybe we should just go eat 😩" "yeah are we getting to old for this?" They laughed together "shit I wanna be on demon time but I can't wait in no line for it" "okay maybe we should go eat and then think of a game plan" "okay bet" they started to walk back up the street but got stopped as two supper tall men got out of a Rolls Royce and was about to head into the club..... they had to be basketball players YN knew one of them but couldn't put her finger on it ... what is his name? But the darker one stopped in his tracks staring at her friend "please tell me you were about to come in here" her friend smiled "um we were... but the line was too long" he glanced at YN "hey ...." "Hi" she smiled this was awkward he went to the security "those two are with us" YN looked at her friend "I guess that's our plan" they laugh following the giants into the club where the lights were low and the music was loud straight to vip.

All YN kept thinking about in this moment was how glad she was that she came out tonight. Once they got seated. The guy finally spoke up again "so what's your names?" Her friend gave her name and then introduced YN. He didn't say anything else "and your names are?" YN says sounding a bit aggressive but not meaning too.

The lighter friend finally looked at her and smiled .... Jackpot now if she could remember his name she would remember why she knows his face. "Oh my bad I didn't mean to assume you knew who we were but we play for the Celtics I'm Jayson and this is Jaylen " "ooou jaylen and Jayson" YN laughs making Jayson shake his head "why don't you switch spots with YN Jaylen?" Her friend says making jaylen jump up smiling "okay sure" YN stood up switching sides so now YN was beside Jayson and Jaylen was beside her friend and pretty soon her friend was feeling on him which cause YN to gasp and it made Jayson laugh.

"People get a little crazy out here you look shocked" "no I just ... it's been a while since we hung out that's all I'm actually only in town for the game" "oh word? You know somebody on the team?" "Nah not at all I just like watching basketball and well I wanted to visit the city and see my friend so it's a win win" "wait you like watching basketball but you don't know who I am? "Nooo but it's your city you tell me..." he smiled "alright let's head out." He stands up and then helps her up guiding her out of the club and into his car. She saw a flash but didn't think anything of it.

"I want a really good cheeseburger" "okay bet I know just the place" within fifteen minutes they were inside of a burger bar ordering they got it to go since they were about to close. A few people asked him for pictures and he took them he was so nice to everyone it made her melt they got back in to his car. She held her bag not eating yet. "You can eat we were just gonna eat in the car unless you want me to take you back now?" "Ohhh no we can eat I thought I should wait" "nahh you gotta eat those fries hot" she took a sip of her drink and her phone started ringing it was Melo she quickly hit decline Jayson smiled he assumed it was a man. He licked his lips "Nah I guess not" he smiled she was the most interesting person he had met in a while

"so what makes him possessive... y'all dealing with each other and just not dating? Wussup?" She laughed "yes" "so that's why he's possessive shiddd if I had someone like you on my arm I would be too" she smiled "but what if someone else was already on your arm and you just happened across me afterwards" "ohhhhhh!!!! That's what's going on?" She nodded her head " hypothetically speaking"she says slowly Jayson laughed "you act like I know the man" she shrugged making him pick up on her vibe again "wait do I know him? he's a celebrity?" she smiled "I don't tell my business when it involves other people business getting out there so I can't tell you one way or the other"

Who your favorite rapper" she laughed and said the first name that popped in her head "Nicki Minaj" "well I'm assuming you don't like girls so male rapper ... go" "drake😬" "Drake hmmmm okay" she laughed "why did you say it like that?" "I don't know I was expecting you to be a lil more rugged you know say some thug rapper" "I listen to everything so it's a few of them on my playlist too" she picks up her lemonade sipping slow staring in his eyes it made him feel something it made her feel something too but she didn't wanna admit that.

"Well I should be getting to bed" she licked her lips he glanced at the clock "oh wow it is getting late let me get you to your hotel" as he starts the car she focuses on his side profile

"Soo I've been in the hot seat all night wussup with you?" She says studying him "well my son and basketball are my whole life" "hmmm so you single?" "Very... more single than you" she laughed "shoots fired" "a lil bit" "so again hypothetically speaking if I was as single as you would you be taking me back to my room right now?" "Yeah .... But I would go up with you" she bit her lip "but you don't want too?"

He glanced at her "I do but I don't wanna be apart of that drama if I'm being honest I like to stay low key and out of shit like that so respectfully I would have to decline" "that's understandable I totally get it" "but shit I'll see you tomorrow you got tickets" "yeah I do but I won't be on your side" "yikes it's like that?" She laughed "I wasn't expecting to meet you tonight" he makes it to the parking lot but parks on the street cause he was sure they weren't done talking yet. "I guess that's true but next time you come you gotta sit on my side" "I would love too" "well it was nice meeting you" she sighed "yeah you too" he starts the car back up but doesn't move yet

"I'm all about being in the moment and not thinking of consequences so sorry if I'm reading this vibe wrong but...." He cuts himself off leaning over to kiss her .... It felt amazing shit it made her moan. It was one of those kisses that was practically sex. He grabbed her neck squeezing softly as he kissed her and then he pulled away. "Alright let's get you to your room.... I'll just drop you off if I walk up there you might tempt me" She smiled "yes I would definitely try too so this is the best bet" they shared a laugh as he pulls out into the street and then into the hotel parking lot pulling up right to the door . "Welll byeee don't be afraid to use my number" she says smiling "I won't be afraid... you stay out of trouble" she gathers the trash from the food leaving only his drink. "No promises" " oh thank you for that I would've got it" "the trash can right there it's fine" she smiled opening the door making sure she had everything "bye be safe" he says "I will... text me when you get home" "will do" she finally gets out of the car shutting his door and throwing away the trash he watches her walk all the way into the hotel until he couldn't see her Frame anymore and then he pulls off.

She gets on the elevator smiling ear to ear she can't think of a time she's ever been kissed like that and the conversations they had was crazy. She got her key out of her purse but before she could unlock the door. Her door flies open.
