Hakate Hecate Hekate
Bless you Divine Mother. You wind me down treacherous roads, up cold mountains & through battlefields that test my every action.
Let me experience this pain
Help me define it
Clasp me in your earth bound hands & push me to the stars, from it is only here that I will be able to view my full potential.
Your advice never dies. You are long lasting love.

A Hekatean Spell for Body Pain
This spell calls upon Hekate as Soteira - the Saviour, Einalia - of the Sea and Kratais - the Mighty or the Rocky, an epithet also connected to the sea. I've created it to deal better with my chronic pain, and I hope it can help some of you as well.
Take a warm shower or at least wash your hands and face. If you cannot, lie down somewhere comfortable. Whatever you do, imagine water washing away your pain and filling you with strength to go. Try to not just visualize, but invoke the feeling. Engage your inner senses as much as you can in this act. Begin chanting:
Hekate, Hekate, Hekate,
Soteira, come to my aid.
Hekate, Hekate, Hekate,
Einalia, give me relief.
Hekate, Hekate, Hekate,
Kratais, come, send me your strength.
Chant - doing so, continue calling upon your imagination and, unless you really cannot use physical water, to wash yourself - as long as you find appropriate. When you feel better, say thank you.

Planning my dedication ritual to Hekate for the Winter Solstice, with a couple smaller initiation ceremonies for the new and full moons prior to it.
I'm a little nervous about becoming a devotee—not because I'm afraid I can't commit, but because I know my beliefs and perceptions change rapidly and fluidly. Over the course of the last few months, I've bounced between Hellenic polytheism, pantheism, and panentheism, trying to grasp a view on the divine that resonated with me.
But I've realized that Hekate has been with me through all this spiritual turmoil. No—even long before that, before I turned to the Hellenic gods, back when I was a preteen exploring spirituality for the first time. She has been at the center of everything, and I was either too blind to see Her, or too stubborn to consider working with and worshiping Her.
And She has given me Her blessing. She is encouraging me to do this, and the only obstacle in my way is myself.
She has done so much for me already; She deserves this in return.
And so do I.

✨🧿🗝️Daughter’s of Hekate 🗝️🧿✨
Star Child Archetroper
A flag for archetropers whose archetrope is a star child.
Individuals who use this might be connected to archetropes revolving being the chosen one, children of deities, or archtropes related to space. They might also align with being a starseed.
Accidentally made this while trying to make cosmic plaything, too pretty to waste. Enjoy star children!

Small offerings are enough ✨
A while ago I got a small to medium rosemary plant, I've been feeling like caring for plants. I have special interest for the ones I can do infusions and curing, prefer aromatic and ornamental plants rather than flowers, but the most important of all, I was trying keep the plant alive because unlike my mom, I do not have that green thumb (and she'd take over in case the plant started getting ill)
The first sprout I harvested would be offered to Hekate, as it was Her the responsible for my awakening, so I left it by my altar to dry.
Once considerably dry I burned it in Her honor, along with music that chanted Her name, expressing my gratitude for so many blessings in a very personal and warm moment.
Where I live, with my parents I'm unable to follow certain traditional rites to their core. The best place to contact Hekate is on crossroads, where people leave their tributes or the leftovers of their crafts (with ecological consciousness). At the moment I can't really go in and out bringing offerings, so I fight with the weapons I have available.
But how do I know the offering was successful, that it was received and pleased Lady Hekate like I intended to?
First of all, putting your intention, wherever you are, will be the fuel the offering needs to achieve its destiny. Second, you will feel that not only said offering completed its course but also that it pleased (or not) the deity you want to contact.
As I've read on an older Hekatean devotee's testimony, Hekate is a subtle Goddess, her signs are deep and not at all noisy.
For me, the message came as an incredible sense of peace, happiness and realization, that small moment of connection made me feel like that's what I was born to do, how I wished to have awakened earlier in life as at the same time I'm grateful for having the opportunity to experience it now.
Rosemary is not Hekate's favorite herb, but it is my favorite, and what feels more special than being offered something that another person loves and desires to share with you? I think the Gods feel the same way, if your offer is filled with gratitude, positiveness, respect and strong intentions, it'll be appreciated.
Heya Hekate!

I've put together some literary resources on these topics!
Since you mentioned both Hekate and Artemis, here are some books pertaining to Hellenic polytheism, including related topics such as historical worship, mythology, modern worship, and so on. I would definitely start with historical worship and mythology before digging into modern worship.
I also have compiled a list of books with which to honor Hekate. Not all of these pertain to Her specifically, but all of them can be used to commune with Her various aspects. Many Hekatean worshipers and devotees consider Hekate Liminal Rites to be a staple read, as it covers a lot of Her historical worship. I personally have mixed feelings about Cyndi Brannen and her work, but her books can still be used to inform a modern practice.
If you prefer video resources, I think someone has already mentioned Fel the Blithe, a Hellenic polytheist who tends to share a lot of deity "deep dives" in addition to various other tidbits on worshiping Hellenic deities. I have also recently discovered That Divination Witch, who has dozens of videos on Hekate alone. I'm not a huge fan of her clickbaity titles, but she does seem to do her best to clear modern misinformation about Hekate while also making suggestions on how to approach Her.
I hope this helps!
hello, friends <3
i’d love your recommendations on resources for deity work. i’ve always considered myself a secular witch, but am interested in learning more- particularly about the goddesses hecate & artemis.
i don’t have the slightest idea on where to start and have found that when i feel lost, community is the best place to find myself.
be well, be safe!

Menstrual Prayer to the Nonbinary Moon
Against Dysphoria
I call you, triple-faced goddess Mene, O light-beloved Hermes and Hekate at once, Male-female child together.1
Moon beyond all binary Silver and gold Black and white And red like the blood I bleed now.
Let me, Mirror of Heavens, Look into your shining face. So, gazing upon my reflection, I may remember - Though others may try to define me, I am nothing else But myself.
1 - Greek Magical PaIyri IV.2441-2621. Note - “Mene” is an Ancient Greek word for the Moon and was used interchangeably with “Selene”, here denoting the same goddess.
Dividers cut from a photo by Adrian Swancar on Unsplash.
This prayer was written by a nonbinary person who menstruates to help alleviate dysphoria by connecting with the Moon in a nonbinary form. Neither involving menstruation in witchcraft nor menstruating at all is not neccessary to be a witch or to work with the Moon. I am transgender and this post is not for terfs and other bioessentialists.

Hekatean Deipnon Bread
A simple, flavourful and very magical recipe for charmed bread to be used as an offering for Hekate’s Deipnon or other Hekatean rites and workings. Make sure to knead with intent!
Ingredients:
o 500g of bread flour
o 350ml lukewarm water
o One sachet of yeast (growth, abundance, expansion, re-animation, enhancement of magic properties and divine blessings)
o A tsp of honey (wealth, joy, fruits of labour, concentrated power)
o Two tsp of salt (purification, boosting potential)
o Oregano (For strength, vitality, growth)
o Garlic powder (healing, protection, banishing negative energy, chthonic)
o Basil (good fortune, luck, prosperity)
o Pinch of black pepper (protection)
o A few strings of Saffron Crocus (A favourite of Hekate’s)
o 3 tbsp olive oil (divine connection)
Directions:
I. Mix the water, honey and yeast and set aside to bloom. You can charge the yeast to awaken it. We feed it with the honey, so that the results of hard work will pass on to motivate the magic into growing in power, a self-enhancing cycle.
II. Mix the flour and dry ingredients. The flour is the base of Mother Earth’s nurture. The herbs are Hekate’s Pharmaka, who gave the knowledge to the First Witches and taught them how to use them to heal and harm, create and destroy, work their magic.
III. Dig a little well in the flour mix and add the yeast mix. Add the oil. Stir clockwise to incorporate and kneed for 10ish minutes. Chant and pray and charge the dough with your intent at this point.
IV. Place it in a well-oiled bowl. Cover with a tea towel or two and let rise for about an hour or in the fridge overnight a day early. The latter will make for a more complex flavour.
V. Knock the air out, knead for a couple minutes and put it in the baking pan you will use. Carve Hekatean symbols (I used the CoH sigil and the Greek name of the Goddess) and let rise for another hour.
VI. Bake for approx. 35 minutes in 200C (Fan). Put another baking tray with water in the oven for a crispy crust. Let cool a bit before the ritual.
