HEDIAZ / HEJAZ - local notes from SAUDI ARABIA, probably project / specimen only. The Hejaz is a region that includes the majority of the west coast of Saudi Arabia, covering the cities of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, Tabuk, Yanbu, Taif and Baljurashi. It is thus known as the "Western Province". The Hejaz is the most populated region in Saudi Arabia, containing 35% of the population of Saudi Arabia. <<< In polish: Hidżaz – region historyczny w Arabii.

( And maybe it will sound stupid but, who is Hejaz?? )
IM SO SORRY FOR HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO RESPOND TO THIS ASK KHFHDJKSJKDSFDS BUT I REALLY WANTED TO DROP SOME LORE ABOUT KSA FOR ONCE!!! anyways np for the middle east eyes guide glad it helps :3cccc
Hejaz is one of the historical pre-unification states of what is now Saudi Arabia, and was considered to be the wealthiest and most cosmopolitan region due to hosting the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, and thus, many Muslim pilgrims who traveled to the region. He's also Saudi Arabia (Najd)'s older brother, and the two used to be quite close in their early childhood! Hejaz was always the more outgoing one, compared to the shy and awkward Najd...

The people of what is now Palestine fought for the allies during WW1 for freedom from the Ottoman Empire, with the promise of a homeland.
Instead, they got stabbed in the back at Versailles and were colonised by the Brits for 30 years.
Fought for and then were betrayed by the British Empire. But them calling for the end of a war…on the day commemorating the end of a war (that they helped win, and were then betrayed after) is “inappropriate”?
