Hello! I was just wondering if you had any sneak peeks into and chapters where Hector married the Mycenean Princess. You have no idea how excited I am to read that. I’d also love to see some sort of conversation or something between Hector and Achilles after the marriage. All of it is going to be so incredible! I literally check every few days to see if anything had been posted.

Hi, welcome back!!! It's so nice to read you again!!!

Thank you so much for asking :) Right now I am finishing the hard process that was completing my first full draft for the next chapter of the original fic. It's a convoluted one, with many interactions needed to advance the plot happening all at once, and for this complexity it took me more work than usual.

An entire month of hard, non stop work, to be more exact lol. Due to this chapter taking me eternity to finish, I delayed the work on everything else ( requests, previous wips, and among other things, the AU fic of the fic) because I didn't have extra time to dedicate. I apologise for that, but I hope the result will be worthy.

This next chapter I am about to post prepares the settling for a first meeting of Hector and Achilles to take place, moment of the fic that has me super excited for because of how the different environment would affect the dynamic. We have a peacefull context where they have practically stumbled on each other accidentally, and their point of encounter is this princess Achilles has fallen for, but the world would rather see with Hector despite for him she is just the friend he made in a diplomatical trip.

It's a huge change, and it completely reverses the logic of their meeting in the canon of the film. In war, Achilles wins. Hector can only keep fighting while feeling quite powerless to the amount of destruction his rival causes. He survives the first encounter because Achilles didn't want to slaughter him without an audience. In a time of peace, and specially in what comes to matters of royalty, Hector holds the advantage. It's his natural environment, he is the image of a perfect prince to be king. Tables are turned, Achilles can't brag. He is moving on Hector's grownd.

It's fascinating and challenging to rethink the characters.

Back to the point after my rambling lol. Unfortunately, I don't have any advances to show you on the AU, but I do can show you a sneak of some Hector scenes in the chapter i'm working on for the original fic. He has moments as this protective friend for her that are frankly so adorable, and there is one big moment for them.

Let me know if you would want to see a bit of it, because for how long it is it will take me a few more days to finish but can easily copy a fragment of a scene for you to take a look.

I hold inmense appreciation for the interest you have in the AU fic. If I find time, I will release at least an oneshot showing my ideas responding some of the interrogants you presented.

Regarding that story, I do plan to write it, but i need to advance the main story just a little bit more so this no war AU with them together will not spoil the original story. Hi, I honestly don't know how to use Tumblr; I came here because I looked for where there is material from the Trojan War, I don't speak much English and I'm a bit of the Wattpad generation. I just wanted to tell you that you write incredible and that your characterization of Hector is magnificent. I have a question: What do you think of a possible AU where Hector is not single but he rejects Andromache for some Oc? I want to write about Troy, but wow, it seems like that scenario where it ended up in a witch hunt to separate Hector from Andromache is the most likely. Sincerely, me, not wanting to offend anyone and just being curious.

First of all, I gotta thank you for such sweet compliments on my writing 💕 English isn't my native language either, but I do my best lol.

Now, speaking of your question, i believe you should be free to take your stories wherever you want. Personally, when writing about Hector i tend to go by two routes: he is single/never meet Andromache AUs or different variations of " societal needs and his political role got in the way and now he can't marry Andromache" obstacle to later pair him with someone else ( oc, reader insert, or whatever)

It's a matter of personal taste. Even considering that film Hector and the Hector of The Iliad are quite different persons, I feel both converge in not (willingly) abandoning Andromache for someone else.

The fidelity to his wife is a remarkable trait that Hector displays in pretty much all versions. The movie made it more explicit with the " thank you, my wife waits for me in Troy" line, but Iliad Hector is neither the sort of man I would imagine cheating and/or abandoning his wife to get a new one.Case contrary is Paris, who in the original version left his nimph wife Oneone for Helen and in film version is a fuckboy before meeting her.

I also feel like this about Odysseus. I firmly believe he intended to keep loyalty to his wife through the Odyssey. Circe was dubious due to the power imbalance of her being this witchy goddess, Calypso was literal SA and kidnap. When the next chance to cheat presents itself with Nausicaa, a young mortal princess infatuated with him, he doesn't take it. At this oportunity is the first time he can actually choose freely, and he chooses to respect her and get back to his family.

Both Hector and Odysseus are devoted husbands. When writing oc / x reader for any of them i choose to ignore their canon relationships because I find too out of character for them to cheat or dump their wives. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. If that's the route you prefer, you are totally free to do whatever you find better for your story.

My personal favorite trope for Hector is arranged marriage. I find he works great in slow burn romances of all kinds, but that trope just fits him so well!

Speaking of Bana Hector from the film, that scene on the ship when he is scolding Paris for bringing Helen like " what about your fathers's love/ the love for your country?". He is literally yelling him that platonic love matters and he betrayed it for romance. Hector strikes me as a guy that would step aside in romantical love if his platonical affections are being threatened by it. This particular characteristic makes him very appealing for romances developing slowly from an arranged marriage situation, at least in my personal writing preferences.

Well, to start Final Family is a concept - nickname luna ( @losersclubisms ) and i came up to name the group of Chucky survivors in an AU we are constantly working on. Is not a consistent fic with chapters (yet) but more of a concept we gravitate arround writing ideas in short oneshots or drabbles. To briefly summarize, is an AU where the adults from the movies take the young kids from the show under their wing. The nickname " Final Family" comes from the fact that they are all final people. Since Chucky dedicated decades to destroy countless families and they are all whats left, together they make one final family made of final people.

Most of the time we write comfort fics to give the characters a bit of the warm touch that the canon constantly deprives them of. In this one I was writing Lexy, Glen and Glenda playing with Caroline and accidentally giving Nica reminders of Alice that they later try to comfort her about.

Now about Golden Chains, that is the title of the wip for my 23 chapter (soon to be posted) in a precuel fic to the movie Troy (2004). This fic is x reader, but it also serves as my attempt to imagine many events from the epic cycle that were scrapped from the movie. I integrate characters that were deleted and things that were not presented, but making them fit into the tone of the film while also taking my own creative licenses.

Is, i believe, my most ambitious work so far. Is a reader insert fic, but also a space for experiment with all sorts of " what if this event/character would have been included? How can i imagine the film would have reimagined them? ". The title comes from a piece of dialogue that holds significance for the issue this chapter centers on.

In case you are curious, is this short line of dialogue:

“ Golden chains are still chains, your highness. My people will not submit to Agamemnon, not by the blade but neither by the charm of a princess "

Reproducing it out of context will not make much sense, so i will explain the metaphor.

The movie Troy makes a reinterpretation of the war that speaks less about mediterranean bronze age than of our modern world. The greeks are a metaphor for USA militar interventionism and my fic digs deep into that. In the film Odysseus is presented as a king from a satelite-like poor kingdom that follows the mycenaeans because they have no chance resisting their power.

In this metaphor the film already has where Agamemnon = USA, i'm imagining Ithaca in the position of a third world country and Odysseus as a smart leader that pretends to follow the colonialist commands, but actually serves his best interests. For so, since my fic is a precuel, Odysseus is trying to be a political bridge between the both big powers of the time ( mycenae and troy) and take his good advantage on both.

" Golden Chains " is a metaphor for this apparently convenient sounding colonialism, but also for latent fears for the possibilities of a future arranged marriage that are being awakened in the heirs of the trojan and mycenaean crowns.

You are welcome, it's always a pleasure talking to you and I love being asked about my fics/presented with fic ideas.

At the moment of answering this I have finished the basic writing of the next chapter for the original fic. I took my one day off to get away from social media distraction and finish the huge body of text.

Without spoiling much about it, I will show you as promised bits of one scene between Hector and the princess.

For context of it, in case you haven't read the last chapter yet, Achilles has arrived and turned everything upside down. Of all the trojans, only Paris has seen him yet, and his reaction is quite something.

in a suspicious rendition to Aragorn's mysterious intro scene at the Prancing Poney on Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring, Achilles impressed him so much Paris thinks he has seen Ares in mortal disguise flirting with the greek girl. ( blame me for it, troy as a film is FULL of lotr callbacks).
