Ai the Somnium Files was a heckin trip and a half. I was inspired by the end of it to go full ham and make 8 separate fanarts of Boss, Saito, and Date, learn a new whole ass technique to make glitch effects, and cry while I went insane trying to make a gif :,D

yeah ok reblogs this again because literally youre so right and i know because i am demiromantic and have always liked the idea of romance and yearned for it but didnt get anywhere for the longest time. i could only really see it with friends, and even then, to this day i struggle to tell if i was actually getting crushes on these people or if i just thought i was because i thought that's what youre supposed to do and what i wanted.

so i'm just kinda pointing frantically at this post like OMG THAT'S ME!

i think the reason karkat is seemingly prone to getting crushes on everybody is more so that he craves any kind of romance and is convincing himself there are feelings because "if it was going to happen, i'd rather it be with this person i already have some sort of connection with" (thing i have constantly thought), rather than him just falling for everyone he meets. it's a blend, i think, some of them are "convincing myself of it for the sake of having a crush", and some are actual "we're really close and i've reached the level where there's actual attraction" (the jade thing being the former like you said, something like the terezi one would be the latter)

and the best part about it is i'm not even projecting this is actual textual stuff so the fact that i'm drawing similarities between me and my favorite character isn't even idealism or misinterpretation WOOHOO

i think karkat is demiromantic and allow me to explain

he struggles with romance, not feeling any romantic attraction, but wishing he did. all his romantic attractions are with people he definitely had a strong connection with. jade is an odd one out, but there wasn’t much show for karkat really having a crush on jade, so it was probably an “i want to be attracted to someone” short lived crush that lasted a day. actually the “jade crush” proves my point further. he didn’t know john for long when his hatecrush developed, but he did watch him throughout his life and thought him to be the reason to their downfall, so i think that’s a pretty strong connection. terezi was one of his closest friends so that one makes sense.

but the best example i have for karkat being demi is, and i hate to say it, davekat. the first meteor ride, nothing happened, but the retconned one, the one where they were able to get to bond better because things were calmer, karkat becomes romantically attracted to him.

Some musings abt the soon to be Precure season

So i took a look at the new website and bruhhh

they're so tacky looking and cute I love them! I'd actually gotten spoiled for Cure Wonderful and Cure Nyami's designs thanks to fanart on pixiv, and at the time I thought the season was going to have an Alice and Wonderland motif thanks to Wonderful's crown [thought she was gonna be like the queen of hearts but nope]. After checking out the website and trailer tho, it seems like the theme is more of a zoo and or animal companion theme. When I first realized that I thought to myself "wait haven't we been here before?" but thinking about it further Healing Good's theme was more along the lines of veterinarians and the earth[?] and Kira Kira Precure's was moreso just animals as window dressing/attack inspo with sweets being the main theme so I suppose we're not technically retreading old ground here. Speaking of not retreading old ground- HOLY SHIT THE MAIN CURE IS A DOG??

Just like...a full on dog dog bruh, like dang man I never thought i'd see the day where we'd essentially get a fairy leading the team. It seems like the team's split into both humans and animals, with Cure Nyami definitely being that white cat

This is exciting! I love that Precure's held onto having fairies transform into humans, it's so heckin fun! Back to the designs- In order of my favorite to least favorite it's Cure Nyami [look at that hair bruh! she is beauty, she is grace]

Cure Friend [the poncho and hair are my fav]

Cure Wonderful [she looks like such a peppy kid awwww]

and lastly Cure Lillian [her arm thingies remind me of Futari Wa and I adore that ribbon]

Honestly, I think this may be the first time since Kira Kira Precure that I've been immediately on board with the designs. I ended up loving Hirogaru's over time but at first glance, I couldn't get over how weird they looked [never fully ended up liking Cure Wing's design but still love the character]. The only thing I dislike about them is Lillian's headband, and the big heart on Friend's shoes. I'm sort of a big sucker for poofy/frilly skirts, long straight hair, and ponchos so I feel well-fed. I'm especially looking forward to seeing them all in motion, especially Lillian since based on her turnaround she seems to have a bit of sass to her. Based on Nyami's turnarounds/previews she seems to be more of a kuudere[?] type which isn't something we've gotten for a main cure in a while. There's also all of these guys just hangin' out on the site too

Can't wait to see what these lil guys can do, hoping that they'll be connected to powerups and maybe even special outfits/attacks [really enjoyed it when Happiness Charge did that]. But maaaan this is so cool. It seems like ever since Hirogaru decided to play around with Precure conventions they're going all out with unique approaches to the formula. One thing I hope they continue doing this season tho, is keeping the fighting style as a literal fighting style like super sentai where they actually throw punches. I love Kira Kira, but there's only so many times [like 2] that I can watch someone fight by pointing a wand at something before I start skipping the battles. Really loved how Hirogaru frequently would have the characters strategize in battle, it really kept me engaged even if I always know how it'll end. All-in-all, it's sad to see Hirogaru go, but I'm excited with what new stories await in the new season! ^^

yo, having 6k in chapter 3 is amazing. good for you!

my first playthrough i got the white arabian and i named her Lemoyne Tree as a tribute to the state of Lemoyne and my favorite post malone song Lemon Tree. But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that one, she's gorgeous and arthur always gets that one when i play it. my beautiful baby girl Diablo <3

also yes. heckin FUCK MICAH BELL. even from the beginning he's been a slime ball. hate that man <3

i won't go too far, but just keep yourself high honor towards the end of the game. you need that to be your first ending. :')

Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.

my top blorbos are Arthur, Dutch, Charles, Hosea, and Josiah Trelawny my absolute beloved <33333 just wait until you go on the mission with Charles to find trelawny. one of my favorite missions ever ever ever ever!!

Posting my take on the secret life ending (first reactions because I just watched it): (spoilers under the cut)

I was deeply disappointed by this ending, not because my favs didn't make it far but because of the utter lack of good storylines. maybe I'm not watching the right povs, but as far as I can tell, nobody formed alliances that were as deep as ones we've seen in previous series. I'd say the group that stuck the most with me was gem & the scotts (mostly because of scott smajor's sacrifice), and all other alliances fell apart too quickly as members turned red and died. I feel that this had mostly to do with the huge loose alliance that formed (possibly a result of the boogeyman episode, which I will contrarily say was really fun and probably the best episode, narrative-wise), which led to something that was basically a free-for-all after the few members that weren't in the alliance died. It ended up feeling more like a pvp tournament than a life series finale, which is sadly disappointing, given how wonderful life series finale narratives tend to be.

I think that's an inherent flaw with the system that was employed this season, because people often have to go off on their own to do tasks, not allowing them to build alliances and do the roleplays we love so much. At least, that's why I love the life series so much, and tout it to everyone I meet: these creators are all so talented and experienced that they can create these wonderful storylines out of nothing! NOTHING! The premise of the life series is that there is nothing going on besides the gimmick, which often doesn't impact much, but it makes every life and death so much more impactful! And I somehow just didn't feel that with secret life, because deaths were rarely mourned the same way they were in past lives -- because nobody was that attached to their teammates.

Now don't get me wrong, I still heckin love secret life. I think the secret system allowed for many amazing moments that will definitely go down in life series history. However, I feel like the benefit of the secret system was definitely seen more in the first half of the series, and the second half fell flat. Now, again, I happened to watch povs that ended up red very late in the series, but I also wished that red tasks were more creative. I loved the task where Jimmy had to assassinate Scott specifically! I think more players should have gotten tasks to specifically target players/factions! It would have made for better conflict and less of a free-for-all ending.

I don't know if I'm the only one here, but I feel like the life series has run its course -- in terms of new gimmicks. However, I would absolutely *kill* for a "re-run" of old gimmicks. (I mostly have in mind double life with new soulmate pairs.) For me, the appeal of the life series was never in the gimmick, because the gimmick only served to make life and death more meaningful when it usually isn't in Minecraft. The creators took that, understood the assignment, and made these beautiful stories for us. I really hope that the life series doesn't die out, because it truly is a gathering of the most skilled minecraft content creators, and a tour de force of their skill in improvisation. The beauty of the life series is its simplicity -- and I do hope we get future seasons closer to the original vision of the series, rather than leaning into gimmicks until the simple beauty of it is gone.

Nausicaä and the valley of the wind (also known as warriors of the wind), its a very beautiful film !!

i enjoy animal crossing as well! Stardew valley is (imo) a fun and simple game, you just farm crops,look after animals and befriended/romance the townspeople, id highly recommended it (i also enjoy playing it with other people).

im sure all the players are going to heckin love that design!! (If you ever share it outside of the campaign id love to see it, i bet it looks amazing!!) I also just love making ocs for other people it makes me happy plus I love doing fun lil design challenges with friends basically everyone using the same inspiration to make thir own design to see how others interpret things differently its v fun to do, using 3 emojis for one design, a mood board, aesthetics and more. I also enjoy redesigning cartoon characters its a fun exercise!

Oh! If you are sure! The baker loves forest animals and the colour green, her baked goods normally resemble lil cute animals like mice and squirrels. Her fav colour is a deep green and she decorates with lil cute ornaments and music boxes (enesco mice music boxs are the inspo for that). She was scared and startled to see his partly transformed werewolf form near the bakery, but she saw he was shaking and just really wanted to help him, she could still recognize him and thought he was weird and a lil bit of a prick but also funny because she barely talked to him before (again how he was raised made him really shit at communicating with people) but that didn't change the fact she wanted to help. She lets him live with her as long as he helps around the house/apartment. But she also nursed him back to health and comforted him because he was in a ton of pain when transforming. She also helps him with his self confidence because he hates how he looks now (going from a pretty boy twig to big monster man). She thinks he's handsome and actually they get along well because they both love books. She warms up really fast to his personality when she realises he's actually very sweet and most of his issues was because he just didn't know how to interact with people that weren't rich. He fell in love with her from seeing her interact with other people and the rare occasions hed go into the bakery (his " friend " group didn't like the idea of him going and made sure he'd eat small and pricy things) his favourite thing to buy was a chocolate chip cookie, he find them very comforting. He thinks shes extremely pretty and sweet, his heart races whenever he sees her. In his fully transformed state if he wishes to go outside he has to wear a hoodie she made him (to accommodate his size and features). He doesn't like leaving the house much especially without her, he gets very excited when she comes home from work and he lays her on top of him if she is cold (hes very warm like a heating pad) and he likes comforting her and holding her close. He checks her ingredients for her and keeps the house clean when she's away. She is really thankful for it since she forgets easily. When they go outside together he is very protective and a lil posessive, not liking others looking at her. She doesn't mind (she finds it attractive) plus she loves going on picnics with him. With his speech being rough and not full scentances (he still thinks in them he just doesn't know how to express it in his fully tansformed state) he worries that she will get upset with him but she never does and understands him very easily. (His speech is very much like big mac from mlp). She realises she has fallen in love with him when she leans against him after he comforts her after a hard day at work. She kisses his cheek to let him know. Both of them are very easily flustered. She covers her face when she blushes and he looks away (his tail wagging like crazy unable hide how happy he is).

If you are busy you should take as much time you need and if you are upset but don't want to talk id give you time, but if you wanted to talk I'd listen, its the least anyone can do. You are human no one should expect more from you than you can give that includes yourself. Take the time you need and focus on yourself because you deserve to be the best and happiest you, you can be!

Roslyn's top favorite would be Kiki's delivery service. She would mostly watch slice of life type animes but she also loves magical girl type of genres too.

Hmmm, I don't really know much about autism so I don't think Ros would be on the spectrum. I mean she does little stims and even clap her hands when she's very excited about something but, yeah, I'm not fully in the know about it.

I wouldn't mind making some of my characters be on the spectrum, but I would have to look into first so I don't accidentally get things completely wrong and offended anyone. The last thing I want to do is bullshit and call it a day.
