One Upon A Time...
Ghost Robin!Jason finds himself in the Infinite Realms and stumbles into a floating ice castle.
Inside said castle is a sleeping/healing Prince of the Infinite Realms Danny Phantom.
And a sticky note written in purple ink saying
"Even fairy tales have some grain of truth in the stories. Will you try to see if its true Jason Todd?"

Briar Bouquet crack uno fic 👍
•°•°•°•
There comes a moment in every fae’s life where they have no choice but to start questioning every single decision that they have ever made up to that point.
This was Malva's.
Sitting between two incredibly competitive men, holding a little over two dozen cards in her hand, and being no less competitive than they are, Malva, frankly, feels like she's going to pop a blood vessel.
You see, this all started when Lilia showed up from out of nowhere whilst Malva and Iris were having some tea (well, tea for her, wine for him) together in Diasomnia's common room, showing them a new card game he had been introduced to by one of his “online” friends. He pulled out a deck of it from under his coat, showing them the coloured cards with various symbols and numbers painted onto the surface of it. These were not poker cards, or any cards Malva had been familiar with. Most of the cards were divided into one of four colors: green, red, yellow, and blue, with only a select few being multi-colored with what she assumed to be special symbols on it.
“It's called uno,” Lilia had explained, a grin on his face. Malva should have taken that as the warning sign it is, but as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat, and she wanted to know if the satisfaction of knowing will bring it back.
Lilia then proceeded to explain the rules to them. They all will get the same number of cards, then look at the top card of the remaining deck. The goal is to get rid of all of your cards as quickly as possible. However, you can only get rid of a card when it is either the same colour or number of the card under it. For instance, if the first card is a blue six and Malva was the first to go, then she can only put down another blue card, or another six card. Say that she chooses to put down a blue zero card, and Iris is the next person to go, then he'd only be able to use a blue or zero card, and so on, and so forth. If you do not have a card that you can use, you will be forced to take from the middle deck and forfeit your turn.
There are also “special” cards as well, like the plus cards and reverse cards. The plus card forces the person after the one to use it to take a specified amount of cards from the middle deck, and, again, forfeit their turn. You can dodge the plus by using a plus of your own, and in doing so the person after you will have to take the amount of cards specified in the previous plus on top of the plus that you just used, unless they also use a plus, in which case it will go on and on until someone runs out of plus cards or admits defeat.
Reverse and skip cards are simpler. Reverse, as it is so aptly named, only reverses the order of the turns. Skip forces the next person to skip their turn, and is stackable, meaning that you can use multiple skip cards to skip multiple people. Both of these, however, unlike plus cards, are colour specific, which means that they cannot be used if the colour under them is different from theirs.
There's also the wild card, but that only changes the color of the card to whatever the user wants it to be.
Simple. Easy to understand. So Malva had accepted Lilia's offer for a trial round and roped Iris into joining as well.
That was a bad idea.
The start was alright, with them playing peacefully like they should be, using their cards according to their personal strategies. That was, until Lilia decided to be a menace and use a plus card. On her. However, she had a plus card of her own, so she deflected the plus onto Iris instead, but it turns out that he also had a plus card, and deflected back to Lilia. Around and around they went, until eventually, Malva ran out and was forced to take the cards. By that point the accumulated plusses had decreed that she was going to be shamed by having to take over twenty new cards. Was she annoyed? Of course she was. On the bright side is that she now has even more special cards and her vengeance is nigh.
She placed down a yellow nine card, in preparation of what she's about to do. Iris, instead of placing a card down, reached towards the middle deck and took a card. Malva takes note of that information. On Lilia's turn, he placed down multiple cards. Malva paused for a moment, considering whether or not to continue her strategy, before she realizes that all the cards are nines of differing colours. Her tail twitched behind her, “is that even allowed?” Despite her efforts, some of her annoyance was audible in her tone. Either Lilia was making something up or was purposefully hiding that rule to put her at a disadvantage.
Lilia chirrups, still with that very same grin on his face, “why, didn't I tell you that already, my dear?”
“You did not,” Iris was the one to answer him, his brows furrowed just the tiniest bit, betraying that he's just as annoyed as Malva is. Or perhaps that was just because he's playing a card game he did not want to play. Who knows. “You only told us that we can use multiple skip cards at a time, not multiple normal cards.”
Malva nods her agreement, “exactly. Is this something you're really allowed to do or is this just something you made up to give yourself an advantage?”
“Ahh, well, that's my mistake, then. My memory seems to not be as good as it used to be. Do forgive an old man for forgetting.”
Iris's eye twitches. Malva decides not to use her skip card just yet.
Instead, she puts down a wild card, changing the color back to green, knowing that Iris still has at least one card of that color. Malva was pleasantly surprised to see that that green card was a reverse card, successfully keeping Lilia from using any cards at all. She happily rubbed salt in the wound by putting down a green skip card.
Lilia pouts at them. Malva smiles smugly back at him.
Good. Back on track, and nice and fair. She puts down a normal green card that she has. They can now just play until one of them runs out of cards.
That was, until Iris puts down a plus two card, right as Lilia was about to put down his final card.
This happens.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Someone is about to win.
Round and round and round it goes.
Middle deck ran out of cards? No problem, they can take the last card from the stack they've been playing and shuffle the rest to use as the new middle deck.
Each and every time.
Time seems to blur as the tensions continue to rise, frustrations flaring from every one of them.
So yes, that's how she ended up this way.
How long have they been playing now? An hour? Two? She thinks that one of the kids came into the room for something, but whether it was Silver or Malleus, she can't remember. She does remember a concerned gaze being pointed at one or all three of them, though.
A skip card by Iris, targeted onto her. She glares at him, or rather, at the dwindling deck in his hands. Despite him being the closest to winning, it's clear that he is no less agitated than she currently is. “Really?” She hisses, her tail lashing behind her. Iris merely glares back.
“The sooner one of us wins, the sooner I can leave.”
Malva rolls her eyes, biting back a retort that might have ruined their friendship had she said it out loud. Instead, she waits until her turn rolls around again (Lilia had a plus four. The look on Iris’s face was priceless), and places down two skip cards she had been saving. Since it rounds back to her, she puts another two. Then a wild card, forcing the color onto red.
If it goes correctly, then neither of them have red cards, and then she can put down all of her three cards (she had five of them. How, she doesn't know, but she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the face), and repeat what she can until she wi-
Lilia has a red.
Alright. This is fine, she can salvage this, she just needs Iris to not-
Iris has the correct coloured skip card, “uno,” and the correct coloured normal cards that all were the same number.
Iris wins.
Iris wins.
The one with the notoriously horrible luck, winning by a mile, with the other two players both having more than ten cards. He places the card down. What kinds of sacrifices did he use. What kind of deal with the devil did he have to bypass his luck and win.
“Both of you were the ones who so badly wanted to play, but it looks like neither of you had the skill to.”
Inhale. Exhale. Deep breaths. Deep, deep breaths. Emotions in boxes. Malva is a healer. She can't hurt people. It's against the Oath.
She nods at Iris, silently tipping her head in congratulations, then turns back to Lilia, all but daring him to put down his next card. Second place is fine. Second place is still something.
Lilia wins within five minutes of continuing the match.
“Tough luck, beloved~”
“We're getting a divorce.”

Ghost Kitchen (brought to you by criminal entrepreneur, Red Hood)
Danny’s got the easiest job in Gotham.
He works as a fry cook at a shoddily-run, independent burger joint. Hardly anyone comes in, despite prices being criminally low, and portions insanely large, and while the manager looks like the average tough-as-nails ex-con, he lets Danny mess around in the kitchen whenever the place is empty. (Which is often. This place has to be the city’s hidden gem or something!)
Mr. Manager’s the only one ever there with Danny, except for sometimes when his buddies come over to smoke and play cards. Danny would find it shady, except part of his job is not to ask questions. Literally, he was told during the interview.
(It was a weird interview. Why would they need to hire someone who’s been in a gunfight before? Like, he has, but Gotham’s idea of “hirable qualities” is so bizarre.)
So instead he whips up some killer burgers with the frozen ingredients, and basks in the praise as the guys tell him he shouldn’t have, he does too much for this joint, ain’t that friendly!
Now, Danny’s a chef on the newer side. As a teen he’d preferred the look of Nasty Burger over anything with Michelin stars, and he only really took up cooking after Jazz moved out for college. But just like ecto-exposure used to turn the groceries sentient, Danny’s low-level ecto signature imbues all his food with something historically haunted Gothamites just love! And Danny’s never been one to half-ass a job when it makes people happy.
With fresher produce, real meat, Danny’s sure he can take his dishes to the next level. It takes a couple months of badgering, but his manager finally agrees to contact the mysterious store owner, who keeps the place going, despite profits Danny knows have to be in the red.
Danny spends the morning prepping. He pours his heart into his food, eager to impress. The big boss will be here soon, and he wants to prove that despite the dangerous location, this place has real potential!
It isn’t until the Red Hood shows up that Danny realizes he’s been working for a money laundering scheme.

This fandom’s going through a lot of discourse right now, especially regarding mischaracterization, so here’s a list of non-rape-related details the game and Q&As tell us about Anya
(disclaimer: I’ve watched a handful of playthroughs but haven’t played Mouthwashing myself)
She’s competitive (re: game night)
She’s determined and/or stubborn (applying for medical school again and again to the detriment of her savings, keeping Curly alive though mercy-killing him would be just as acceptable)
She’s insanely good at her job even if she’s not legally a nurse (keeping Curly alive this long on very limited supplies, holy hell)
She’s a logical person (assessing situations quickly and accurately, taking time to think things through before acting, paying attention to detail)
She’s friendly toward her coworkers (teasing Swansea about his sweet tooth, pinning Daisuke’s art on the board in Medical, expressing amusement when Curly says something corny)
She gets lost in thought sometimes (Swansea complains she doesn’t always pay attention when he’s talking to her)
She and Curly have the same taste in music (Curly compliments her playlist)
She’s willing to break rules when it seems beneficial (hiding the gun, arguing that they should break into the cargo hold, allowing Curly to take over Jimmy’s psych eval)
She’s very academically inclined (reading and rereading manuals beyond her “wheelhouse” as the nurse, spending her free time studying)
She likes going for runs, horrible reality TV, and fast food
Feel free to reblog with anything I missed :)

So people have been discussing Scarecrow as Battinson's next rogue which would be good and obviously Joker's always a possibility (wish he wasn't that clown should die for good)
But I want Two-Face
I want Battinson's Bruce Wayne to reintroduce himself to society and to befriend Harvery Dent and grow close all while trying to find this (maybe masked at the time) Coin flipping new villains
The plot twist possibilities if they do it well the trauma for Batman
They could even do it in a third movie if they do Scarecrow for the second. Scarecrow causing fear and issues for Batman, while Bruce reintroduces himself to high society and Gotham by paying for Gotham's rebuilding and befriending Harvey during this time.

i know wincesties might not like this but that samdean interaction from provenance where sam says “yeah you’re right, part of this is about jessica. but not the main part.” and dean asks “then what’s it about?” and sam doesn’t answer — that wasn’t about incest. it was about sam feeling like he’s cursed and not being able to explain it to dean. it kind of mirrors their interactions from s4 where sam struggles to explain to dean how he feels about having demon blood in him. also it’s the only interpretation that makes sense here considering everything that happened to him earlier that season. sam doesn’t want to hook up with anyone because of jess, and then later in that episode he tells sarah: “look, it’s hard to explain. it’s just when people are around me — i don’t know, they get hurt…i had a girlfriend. and she died. and my mom died too…i don’t know, it’s like, it’s like i’m cursed or something.”

i do not remotely mean this as in insult to the bells, but to me, even before c3 began, i knew it was never going to be a story that would survive on or deserved to be about one party. critical role would have gone stale if it went on much longer as it was, with just its og cast, and you could feel it brimming with understanding of massive events - changes of reality & its own fictional world - on the horizon. i know the concept of a "crossover" story with a staggering number of central characters is inherently risky, but i genuinely think one of c3's biggest strengths is just that.
avalir needed to be presented during c3's runtime, a precursor to past calamity as exandria entered a new one; aeors story needed to be told in this campaign, the apex of mortality's fall in the past as the war for ruidis began to fever pitch in the now; the bells hells needed "guest" stars that truly became their own party members, more than just the og white cast, so many people surviving as nobodies in apocalypse beyond those you expected to take up the call; the crown keepers needed to parralel the bells (hell, they are the bells), infinite parties thrown to slaughter by war when all they wanted was friendship, with hope still deep within them to return to each other; the mighty nein & vox machina & their cohorts needed to push & bear witness to the bells, analyze their own dynamics with power and what it means to be a hero/leader in a time where that isnt clear cut and comes at severe cost not measured in these ways in their campaigns; and most importantly the bells needed - and as of recently chose - to be thrust into being heralds of history. their story was built on heartbreak of being crushed under the boot of other's hero journeys (the story emphasizing that while they got caught in fate, they arent alone in that fate of being "unimportant"), and so it is in the campaigns lifeblood to provide them the chance to look at the tapestry in a way no other can, to bear the tragedy of being the sacrificial lamb and deciding what sacrifices of the world & themselves to make in turn, especially in a campaign that is blatantly asking the question of what is worth it to be in an imperialisically-designed fantasy universe where thousands are not seen as important to the pov of the hero.

Ok I can't hold my curiosity back any longer:
In the recent Volga and Ares pic and the Volga sheet, what is the sort of purplish blue scar like thing?
Is it where he got touched by dark magic?
Ohh its totally ok to be curious here <3
But to answer your question: yes! Here's a quick thing for you too, to give a vague idea of what happened
Tumblr media
Its a rare dark magic spell and requires a lot of energy, but some mages can mark another living being and use that mark to command them. To Volga its like a deep slumber and what he experiences would be like a strange dream.
There's also an offshoot to the spell that's even more difficult to master -- let alone use for long periods of time -- and its directly marionetting whoever is marked. Cia can also do this (and has done it in my au) but it's very hard on her and she has to release control after a few minutes. (think puppet zelda vibes, but the mage is still separate from the puppet and has to mimic the movements/attacks in order for the puppet to do em)
After he breaks from her spell, the mark is still left over like a scar and wouldn't actually disappear unless Cia is killed (which she isn't). And while Cia probably isn't gonna take control over him again, the leftover mark does still make him vulnerable to other dark mages in the future. This goes for anyone else who's marked by her as well.
Here's the posts that are being referenced in the ask: -> Volga's ref -> Volga and Ares pic

AAAAND THAT'S 2 FORMS DONE!
Tumblr media
I WAS thinking of doing the final boss form right after this, but I want to save that for when I... well, have ideas for the entirety of the story so ik what I want to strive for. NONETHELESS, I got the rough design of an Odin form done atleast! Unfortunately, I think I made him resemble Bahamut more than Odin lmao but yolo.
Next up is Frisk-- I'm torn for the designs colours specifically for them, because Bahamut- the summon actually used for Frisk, is pretty mute in colours, so I'm wondering if I go mostly grey??? but hhhrgggg it'll take a bit and a lot of trial and error. ANYWAYS enjoy Asgore in both his normal king form, and his Odin armour >:3 I had alota fun with these! And yes, his horns do extend more when he's... in his Odin form shghsdsd bc alot of Odin designs in FF have wacky ass, very curly and large horns :>
