Good Omens Hc (Ineffable Husbands + Ineffable Interns and a mix of family) to help the fandom recover just a tiny bit

-If Aziraphale gives Crowley freckles when he gives him kisses, Angel gains a beauty mark from Crowley’s kisses (like falling/dying stars)

- I feel like since Eric can multiply, it’s the opportunity to give Muriel tons of kisses

- Aziraphale and Crowley share a garden, these two are always bickering about how to treat the plants

- Muriel asks question after question about demons, a lot are ones Eric doesn’t know the answer to and giving that he likes mischief, he makes a bunch of stuff up (all in good fun)

- Muriel sings incredibly and Eric loves to listen even if his ears can’t stand it (because it’s literally heavenly)

-Aziraphale has taken on whistling centuries ago and had become quite the professional, Crowley will sometimes catch him whistling “be-bop” (only because it reminds him of the demon)

- Aziraphale accidentally left his ring before he left for heaven and Crowley kept it (giving it back when Azi came back to reconcile)

- Aziraphale wrote, preformed and produced an entire play as an apology (Crowley couldn’t even get through the first chunk before he was sobbing from laughter)

- When Aziraphale blushes, it has a glow to it that only ethereal beings can see, so when he’s red in the face, to Crowley, he looks like a Christmas light

- Aziraphale picked up a few hobbies while Crowley asleep for the century, Dancing being one of them and another being Piano. The Piano is something Crowley doesn’t know about because he’s a little embarrassed and doesn’t play when he’s around (like dancing, Angels aren’t meant to really play instruments despite owning harps)

- Muriel has intimate knowledge of what Heaven can and can’t detect, they use this to their advantage when Eric wants to “stir up mischief” (He’s too embarrassed to call it a date)

- Muriel has taken to drawing Eric and Eric gets a little weird about it (it’s the sweetest thing anyones ever done for him and it makes him feel.. awkward. He loves it btb, he just can’t show it right)

- Muriel blushes a lot around Eric but has no idea what it is, so they think they got hell fire on their face (They glow too)

- Eric and Muriel are the opposite of Azirphale and Crowley when it comes to sleeping. Once Muriel learned what it was and how to do it, you couldn’t stop them from taking a nap anywhere, Eric on the other hand has taken to watching over them (Aziraphale gets jumpscared walking into a room and seeing multiple Erics watching over Muriel) (Like (Demon) father like (Angel) child)

- Angel plays the piano for Muriel and teaches them how to, and they pick up the skill immediately (He also teaches them how to read sheet music)

- Aziraphale is not allowed to call Crowley “Anthony” outside of a private area or things may happen

- Chat gave me the idea that the Z. In Azi’s middle name is Zebidiah and I will hold onto that, Crowley calls him that on occasion to be funny because he couldn’t have chosen a worse middle name (Not that “Janthony” can talk)

- Crowley has taken on eating a little more but it’s rare that he’ll finish what he has

- Crowley takes great passion in watching Muriel tell people to piss off when they walk in the bookshop, even when Muriel learned it was considered rude

- Omg!! Crowley and Azi introducing Muriel to Warlock, siblings!!

- Crowley listens to audio books (I.E. makes Aziraphale read to him)

- Eric shared a piece of candy with Muriel, not knowing they’ve never had food before and now they have a huge sweet tooth

- When Eric threatened to Eat Muriel, they laughed in his face and that’s how his crush started

- Muriel’s started after Eric kissed their hand to rial them up when they first met (Angel and demon beef)

- Omg Muriel learning how to dance from the first ever Angel to do so (So now the number is a straight forward two)

- Muriel miracled facial hair on their face because they've seen Crowley with it before and wanted to try it (they have long sideburns now, much to Crowley’s dismay because it reminds him of Brother Francis)

- Eric and Muriel once held hands for “safety reasons” and now do it often

-Crowley still gets called to watch over Warlock and he always bregrudingly obliges

- Since I assume Muriel has a more Cockney accent, maybe they learn some of the slang words that come with that (Aziraphale gives them a book on it and deals with the repercussions)

- Crowley and Aziraphale has separate bedrooms (not that they don’t love each more than heaven and earth put together) but having their own space to decorate and do their thing helps tremendously (even if they end up in the other’s room most of the time)

- Crowley took Aziraphale’s last name and it’s very funny when they go out together and when someone says “Mr. Fell” they both turn

Regarding details! I can tell you that all the characters are going to reveal how they found out/figured it out in the upcoming chapters of HHU. That said...

Hinata knew first, before anyone else, as she suspected back in BtB, though never explicitly stated it to Shikamaru. Though it was implied in Break to Breathe when Shikamaru was getting ready to chase after Neji again (after the Gentle Fist head-trauma the Hyuuga gave him 😅 )

BTB CHAPTER 36 EXCERPT: [...] "I…I said he needed someone to help pull him back, but…" Hinata trailed off, recovering with a frown. "But I didn't think it would cost this much." "There's always a price." Shikamaru shrugged, the nonchalance so forced it felt like hefting rocks on his shoulders. "I knew that when I got into this." "But it's not the same…" Hinata said, her eyes blinking doe-like. "It's different now." Shikamaru arched a brow. "Nothing's changed." No sooner had he said it than Hinata's gaze took on a quality of calm understanding that struck him numb quicker than any lick of chakra to his nerves ever could. "Yes it has…" she whispered. Fuck…

So, there was Hinata's moment of "gotcha". Though she had grace enough not to announce it or disclose it to anyone else throughout the rest of the series. Sakura didn't cotton on in that scene, as it was so far beyond the scope of possibility or credulity given the urgency of what was happening.

As for the others: Kakashi, Genma, Ibiki, Temari, Sai, Tsuno, and Choza.

Their knowledge will be revealed in HHU (at least that's what my plot bunnies are showing me 😅...it's almost Easter, the bunnies can't lie...right? 😆 Right.)

I apologize if this has been asked before, but in the BtB universe do most of the characters know/suspect the relationship between ShikaNeji, or have they been really successful in concealing it? Are there any characters that have their suspicions other than the characters said to have known (Hiashi/Shukaku?) Dumb question, but I have my own little headcanons about this haha.

I can confirm that they had been very successful at concealing it, although by the time Heaven Hold Us starts (post War), these surviving characters know for certain:

Plus my ANBU OC, Tsuno

Are there any characters that have their suspicions other than the characters said to have known (Hiashi/Shikaku?)

These characters had/have their suspicions:

Ino & Chōji for sure, though they never pushed Shikamaru on this (well…maybe Ino…just a little bit 🤏 )

Kiba suspected/suspects on a deeply subconscious level — an animal instinct feeling but he never let(s) that instinct bubble up consciously, namely because he and Neji clash so much and it’s not something he would’ve been able to logically square in his head. He was/is still hung up on Shikamaru’s adventures in Suna with those lady twins 😉

😅 Now, all that said, bear in mind I am sometimes surprised by a certain revelation a character can come up with whilst writing. So there may be one or two more with lurking suspicions that haven’t come to mind just yet.

Sasuke, for example, could presently rate in both the knows about Shikamaru and Neji and/or the suspects category at this point. I’ll know for certain when writing his interaction with Shikamaru. 👍🏼

I am an avid reader and a long time fan of yours.

I've been following your work for many years - starting all the way back from 2015 in highschool. I come back to your fics every now and then. It's one of those defining totems of the mid 2010s. I have specific songs, food, movies, fics, clothes that I remember when I think of this period of my life, and your fic is one of them. Shikamaru and Neji had me in such a chokehold that I remember feeling a little mad that you introduced me to this crack pairing (because there were no other fics to quench my thirst for them once I was done with BtB. Realisation hit me like ice water and I had legit fic withdrawals)

I remember binging BtB before an exam. Instead of preparing for the test, I decided to binge read the fic the whole night. Needless to say, my eyes were red and I had a terrible headache. Luckily, I was able to pass (with no flying colors, mind you, but I was able to score above fifty percent lol). But I didn't regret it at all!

You've influenced my writing style and the way I evaluate fics. I think you will forever leave a mark on whatever I write. I remember reading a blogpost about how we tend to absorb different styles of authors that we like as we get into our reading journeys. I have a very short list of authors I adore and yours is among them.

I remember reading about you working on some original fics many years and being so excited for them. I still check in every now and then, eagerly anticipating you publishing something someday. I'd love to support your creative endeavours.

I binged Naruto Shippuden recently and for some reason, Naruto and Sasuke really hit me hard at the end. Back in 2015, I was more drawn in by the side characters. I paid little attention to Naruto and Sasuke.

But upon rewatching the ending, I went down this rabbit hole of trying to find fics exploring their dynamic. Their characterization. All that pain and juicy history. Sasuke is such an intense guy. Like this quiet walking talking live-wire. He can be easily reduced to this angry broody stereotype as I've seen many authors do, but something about the flavor of his hatred stands out.

Naruto to me is deep. So deep and I've been in this fandom for so many years trying to find the depth that I want from him in fanfics.

Yes, he has a sunny persona. But his thoughts are so enigmatic to me. I feel his sadness, his pain, his anger. His empathy. But I think this man can very evasive.

I am not able to put into words why I feel drawn towards the idea of Naruto and Sasuke. It's just I can't think of one without the other.

When it comes to them, I get so dissatisfied when I go through the fandom in search for the particular flavor of characterization that I am looking for but don't get.

That was the case until I went through Heaven Hold Us. I was like 'what the fuckk' because both of them had me in a chokehold in whatever handful of scenes they were in! You are a wizard!

I don't know how you did it again! I mean, it is to be expected. You took side characters like Neji, Shikamaru, Gemma, etc. from the show and elevated them in such a natural way. You expanded their world like bringing a camera lens in and zooming in on the parts Kishimoto had whispered about and painted them in vivid depth. It feels like such a natural extension of the story.

So it's only natural you would do Sasuke and Naruto justice. You've satisfied my craving; that itch for great charactetisization! I'd love to pick your brain on these two and how you view them.

Naruto and Sasuke.  Ah, I loved reading your thoughts on these two.  I agree and feel the same insofar as their psychological depths remaining unplumbed.  It’s a juicy topic, for sure.

When it comes to them, I get so dissatisfied when I go through the fandom in search for the particular flavor of characterization that I am looking for but don't get. That was the case until I went through Heaven Hold Us. I was like 'what the fuckk' because both of them had me in a chokehold in whatever handful of scenes they were in! You are a wizard!

AW!  Bloody hell, that is another insanely awesome compliment and I’m so thrilled to know you enjoyed my portrayal of them.  I get exactly what you mean about searching for a ‘particular flavor of characterization’.  It’s such an amazing feeling to know that HHU has given you a hint of that flavour.  Especially when I was uncertain about treading into the ‘watch your step’ territory that is Naruto and Sasuke.  They are not as safe as crack pairings, and I would always want to do justice to them within the context of the BtB-verse.  If I have displayed some wizardry, then I’m so happy that you resonate with my particular strain of magic.  You’re who I’m writing for.  Or it wouldn’t impact.  So thank you for letting me know that it did/does.  You are magic right back at me. 💖

I don't know how you did it again! I mean, it is to be expected. You took side characters like Neji, Shikamaru, Gemma, etc. from the show and elevated them in such a natural way. You expanded their world like bringing a camera lens in and zooming in on the parts Kishimoto had whispered about and painted them in vivid depth. It feels like such a natural extension of the story.

Ah! Bless you so much for this.  That’s usually my aim when writing within fandoms.  To try to keep it as close to the original canon with wiggle room (sometimes, a fair bit of wiggle room) for divergence…so long as it doesn’t fundamentally bastardise the soul of the character.  One could argue against that, given that sexual preference or lived-through trauma might be considered (by some) as strong identity points, but I don’t write characters that way unless that’s the way they want to be written.

So, it's only natural you would do Sasuke and Naruto justice. You've satisfied my craving; that itch for great charactetisization! I'd love to pick your brain on these two and how you view them.
