startin 2020. i was watching a dancer streaming, and he danced to dope, so i asked them what the song was :3 i was drawn to it for the rhythm and because i heard that it had a saxophone part, since i used to play i was always attentive whenever i heard a sax part in any song, and in this one i was so amazed 🙀🙀💗

⌨ + the fic of your choice! 💜

Arthur Rokesby wasn’t quite sure how he ended up on a ship bound for America. He was certain that it had something to do with imbibing far too much alcohol and the fact that his best friend, Edmund Bridgerton had decided to settle down. The headache and throbbing head explained the first part and his wounded heart explained the second.

He was happy for Edmund. Truly, he was. Violet Ledger was the perfect choice for him. She was beautiful, intelligent, and made Edmund very happy. Theirs was a match made for love, which wasn’t always common in polite society. Arthur had always thought that he and Edmund would sow their wild oats for nearly a decade before settling down. But this wasn’t to be. His best friend was married and he was not. 

All his older siblings had married for love thus far and his twin was intent on practicing medicine.  This left Arthur quite alone in the world and somehow on a ship bound for York City.  If he had stayed home any longer, his mother would likely work on finding him a match. She was quite well-known for her matchmaking attempts.  And he had no desire to settle down yet.  So an adventure it was.

How long would he stay there? No idea. What was he going to do? Again, no idea. He couldn’t even remember his thought process that led him to board the ship in the first place. But there wasn’t much he could do about the situation in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, was there? His only choice was to embrace it, which Arthur did so willingly.

His brother Edward’s stories of America from his time in the war had always intrigued him.  It had been a dream of his to set sail for America.  Although Edmund or one of his brothers was always included in this daydream, it appeared it was a dream he would embark on alone.  He would probably never hear the end of it from his mother once he sent word of his adventure.  She was likely worried sick over his sudden disappearance. His only hope was that perhaps his mother had imbibed too much at the wedding as well and hadn’t yet noticed his absence.

“Captive”

Drinking alone, of course it happened the one time she ignored her own advice and went out for a few drinks alone. Hindsight and all that nonsense Ilia talked about at length. Whatever.

As Mariza might say: her mistake.

But with Willow breathing down Mariza’s neck, Mariza taking that about as well as could be expected, and generally needing a single solitary moment to herself? A drink was more than in order.

The green fins even set her at ease after the first few rounds, her vision a bit too faded at the edges to realize that the fins surrounded an entirely human ear. Not until it was already too late.

Then the room started to warp and turn, her ale a bit too salty, and her face too warm for the measly amount she’d drank.

After that? A complete blur.

Which left her here, with a pounding headache, rope burn, and absolutely no clue where the fuck she was.

People stood at odd intervals around her, holding onto the ropes binding her from head to toe. One even lashed around her neck in a noose, an unspoken threat. She bared her teeth and searched her surroundings for something, anything that might help her break loose. The moment that one of these idiots slipped up, she’d make them pay.

“Ah, our guest has arrived!”

A voice called from the distance, opening the door and letting in a flood of bright light, forcing Delta to squint as her head protested. Rather violently. Great.

Which idiot with a vendetta (or desperately in need of the bounty money) decided to take their shot at her this time?

The blood in Delta’s veins froze as the figure approached, too familiar. Nightmarishly so. Blonde hair fell over her shoulders in waves, loose, not tied up and away just yet. An eye the color of rotten seaweed examined her from a face that should have been beautiful. If it wasn’t for the too smooth perfection, like a ceramic doll, it might’ve been.

It was a face she glimpsed only once, cowering beneath a table in a place forsaken by Indra and all things good, a place no one but her, lucky frightened her, returned from. The Butcher’s Den.

“Oh,” her voice wavered in delight, “You’re even more perfect than I’d imagined. I’m honored to meet you, Delta.”

Somehow, that sparked her body to start working again. Delta thrashed, still exhausted but she’d be damned if she went down without a fight. Anything to ignore the terror of the Butcher knowing her. The Butcher laughed, tutting like Delta was merely a misbehaving animal, and not a piece of meat that she wanted to carve.

“No need for that now, I’d hate to put your body through any unnecessary abuse before I even get started. It’d be a waste for such a rare specimen.”

The Butcher’s face fell, polite smile turning into a sneer.

“Charles!”

The man who’d spiked her drink straightened, nearly shaking the fins he no doubt cut off himself from his head.

“Yes? What is it?”

“You said that she was alone, right? No one followed you?”

“Not at all, Hea-“

“Good. Well Delta,” the Butcher grinned again, somehow wider now, “Looks like no one will find you. Now, let’s get you all prepared. But I think you’ll last longer than the others, I’d hate to lose you too soon.”

Delta grimaced, yet sighed in relief. If her crew didn’t come, good. They’d be safe. For now… she’d have to stay alive. Survive.

Gods she didn’t want to end up in that tank. But it looked like she didn’t have a lot of say in that.

I've already done Heathers 4 times over in my mind. I sing 'Meant To Be Yours' in my best Mondo impression every time the song pops up in my playlist 🫶🏾

BTW I use They/Its pronouns and am non-binary so the 'whatever' part would be most accurate lol, I do accept Sir though! ^^

The huge Hamilton casting list took me about 4 days to make so I'm just gonna do a really simple, really quick list of who I think fits where:

Veronica Sawyer - Sayaka Maizono

I know I keep putting her as the Main Girl in these musicals, but she really is the most equipped for the job. She obviously has good vocals and knows how to lead a crowd, she's the best host!

Jason Dean - Mondo Owada

Y'know I had to make my main Bad Boy THE Main Bad Boy. He would kill all the JD main songs (Freeze your Brain, Our Love is God, Meant to be Yours, ect.) and he would have so much fun doing it!

Heather Chandler (Red) - Junko Enoshima

Obviously. She is THE Bad Bitch who likes to mess with people. She would have so much fun as a sarcastic ghost.

Heather Duke (Green) - Aoi Asahina

I have absolutely no basis for this. I just think it would be fun for her to take over the popular title after Junko-Heather dies. She has so much energy and I think she would be great at being fake condescending.

Heather McNamara (Yellow) - Mukuro Ikusaba

Another obvious pick. She's already pathetic (affectionate) in canon so why would it be any different in musical form? Having Sayaka encourage her not to off herself and to be more confident is an adorable thought.

Kurt Kelly - Leon Kuwata

I think Leon would love to be the 'Smartest of the Football Team' and the greatest FuckBoy in the musical. Plus how could he pass up singing a whole song about Blue Balls?

Ram Sweeney - Chihiro Fujisaki

This is so funny to me. Thinking about Chihiro humping a pig statue and begging Sayaka to sleep with them is so funny. Please re-watch the musical, but every time Ram pops up, imagine Fujisaki and I swear, you will love it.

Martha Dunnstock - Kiyotaka Ishimaru

Martha is bullied literally the entire musical and is naive. This reminds me of Taka. That's it, that's the whole explanation. I can't think of anyone else that would fit here. Maybe Makoto, but I don't know.

Pauline Fleming/Ms. Fleming - Yasuhiro Hagakure

I saw someone else put Hiro as Ms. Fleming and I don't know why, but that makes sense. I think him being an adult or teacher of some sort, especially someone as silly as Ms. Fleming, is the right choice.

There aren't many major characters so it was easier to sort, plus I personally don't take Heathers as seriously as I do Hamilton. I see Hamilton as a Drama with a fleck of humor while I see Heather's as the opposite. A story infused with humor with a fleck of Drama. (I mean there LITERALLY is a whole song about Blue Balls which is so funny to me) Because of that, I don't have to think as hard about categorizing which is so nice.

“Look at all you,” I cried, hugging them tighter. “You’ve all grown to be so beautiful.  I’m sure you’ll make all the French men at court turn their heads while we’re here.”

There was another eruption of giggles.

Lady Bianca tugged at my hair. I tried to pull away but she had woven her fingers through my hair. “It’s a good thing we’re here,” Bianca stated matter-of-factly. “Or at least it’s a good thing for this hair.  Didn’t the nuns teach you anything, Margaret?”

“What would nuns know about hair?” Lady Francesca countered on my behalf, as she wrapped an arm around my shoulders. “They’re too busy hiding it.”

“Fair enough,” Lady Bianca responded, attempting to hide her grin; but it broke through her facade. She released my hair and giggled. “Dare I ask about your wardrobe? We won’t find any habits stowed away in your trunk will we?”

I could tell that Lady Bianca was teasing me.  Her sense of humour seemed much drier than my other ladies, but I appreciated it just the same. Lady Bianca’s face remained stoic but her eyes danced with mirth. “I had to pack them so quickly, there might be a stray habit in there just for you.”
