I find it hilarious that those who criticize and insult Viv for her art style and apparent "racism" in her character designs have nowhere near the same things to say about Tim Burton

Tim Burton has racist characters? The only closest thing is Bianca from Wednesday, but, like, so???? As a black person, I got bullied by mainly black ppl. I don't see why this matters so much. Plus, Wednesday has beef with almost every character in the show x3 The nicest she was to anyone was probably Uncle Fester. Finally, Bianca does end up having a character arc where she ends up becoming a little nicer to Wednesday.

The only other thing I can think of is a 2016 interview where Tim Burton didn't care for the exploitation of black ppl in media. He even said, "I didn't go like, ok, there should be more white people in movies." He literally says that wasn't what he was saying. Plus, black ppl today still get exploited. Look at when Disney released a teaser for The Little Mermaid remake. They purposely used a black person as Ariel bc it would spark controversy, not bc they care about diversity.

I mean, this is the same vein of reasoning when ppl get upset at Viv having POC characters in Hell or they "don't look like" they're POC. I don't see the problem of making those kinds of ppl antagonists. It'd be one thing if that's all the bad guys are and the good ones are white, a lá that shitty Heathers TV show that never saw the light of day.

And, granted, I know what I'm saying is an unpopular opinion. But I think it's incredibly weird to get defensive about POC being antagonists. It gives off the feeling that only white ppl should be the villains, which is racist despite what others may say xP

Finally, Vivzie also gets inspo from Tim Burton's work. So...careful where you tread.

since you're my favorite steve harrington blog ever, i'm gonna toss you a lil stranger things muse to start off. HEATHER HOLLOWAY from STRANGER THINGS, but obviously heavily removed from that fandom bc eff the d.uffers slash the fandom scares me. i just adored her in her short amount of screentime, and i always daydream about a "what if she survived" verse whenever i rewatch season 3. spoiled bubblegum princess turned final girl? i think yes.

you asked and i delievered. >:) next is ELLA OF FRELL from ELLA ENCHANTED! i think she'd be perfect to plop into the universe of wicked / the wizard of oz, just like char. i'm thinking she's from winkie country, born to kind parents who are considered nobility. she loses her mother young, her father remarries a cruel, conceited woman, blah blah. when she's a baby, she has a run in with the wicked witch of the north at her birth ceremony, who gives her the "gift" of obedience, because we been knew i already decided edna is a kid hater. i'd have to think out the rest, that's just some initial thoughts.

last, i'm gonna toss my favorite girly who haunts the narrative. i love love love JACKIE TAYLOR from YELLOWJACKETS. she reacts to the awful situation that she and the girls find themselves in like any other teenager would, desperate to cling to any last shred of normalcy she can find. her story is so tragic. she makes me so sad. i want to hug her. i want to protect her. i want to see her survive, which i think would be a fun verse to sink my teeth into.

What kind of music do you like to listen to? Care to share some of your music you like to listen to?

That varies PRETTY WILDLY based on my mood, hahaha

I'll try and give a bit of a sampler platter below the break. This is nowhere near everything either; just what I can think of right this moment xD

Gonna start with a specific artist recommendation -- Shoutouts to Just Fern & Softgirl!!! I found out about them in like 2016 and I absolutely love their sound; it was the main thing I listened to for a long time and it's still very much a big slice of nostalgia for me.

Obviously I've been listening to a ton of EPIC, what with the sagas all each getting a chance to destroy my brain, but more generally sometimes I get in the mood to just. Listen to musicals?? And/or musical style soundtracks. To suggest something that isn't EPIC... have some Heathers I guess?

Recently I've started to listen to a bit more alternative pop almost ENTIRELY thanks to all the animatics I watch? I'unno if pop changed or my tastes have changed but either way I've found a few artists I've fallen in love with.

Emo/Midwest emo/post emo music is VERY decidedly one of the first genres of musics I absolutely fell in love with, and as a result it's a comfort zone. To pick something that's a biiiit less mainstream...

Folk punk is something I have also just ABSOLUTELY have fallen in love with. Some of it is stuff I found as a teenager, other stuff is things I found when I was stuck in a terrible situation and needed some screaming to get me through it

Regular folk is also cool and fun. Shoutouts to filk especially it is a weird and fun movement and more people should know it exists x3
