TWST DRABBLE #19

Ace and Deuce who are your friends, and the only ones that call you by your name

You've been Prefect for so long, you quickly realized no one would see you as nothing else but that. It's always 'Hey Prefect!' 'Can you help with me this Prefect?' 'How are you Prefect?' You got used to it faster though, after all, if it's at least Grim and the ghosts who call you by your name that's more than enough for you

Until that night

The day someone else saw you for something else but the oh so attentive Prefect you always were, and those, were your first friends

Ace and Deuce always stuck to you, even more after the abandoned mine incident, you've soon come to realize that that was the starting point of your friendship. But at first, they were the same as others : when you stepped on those rusty stairs of the Ramshackle dorm in the warm morning, you always heard the same thing : “Mornin' Prefect!” and it had been like that for a long while, the name that was bestowed upon you was the only thing that came out of their mouths ; Until it wasn't

You don't remember when it started, sometime perhaps after a short while of the second overblot happening maybe. You took that a little harder than Riddle's ( speaking of which, who was attentive to you and looked out for you to be in your best health ) and had gained a scar thanks to Leona's powerful unique magic. You had forgave him though, ( as much as you could ) that's what you always did, forgive and forget, after all, even Crowley said so himself 'It is better that way! Holding grudges does nothing to satisfy you!' so he said

One night, you were sitting with the two in the living room of the dorm, Grim snoozing away on the couch you were all sitting in front of, in a warm makeshift tent, with pillows, lights and whatever else you could find around. Nothing could be heard in the room except the laughs and chatting of the three of you. Ace and Deuce were having a blast, you were tired, but you never let it show, after all, this time was precious for all of you, you were friends were you not? that's what you think after all, even if it might not be true. Their voices started getting muffled and your vision got blurry, were you falling asleep or simply just passing out from exhaustion? You didn't know, maybe these two overblots really did leave a mark that went deeper than you thought

It was when you heard a voice did you snap out of it, a call, something you never thought you'd hear while in this unknown world “Hey, Y/N you okay? You seem out of it” A warm hand on your shoulder “If you want to sleep we don't blame you, after all there's no way these overblots didn't leave a mark. We'll be quiet, promise” It took you a few seconds to register the words, and after you did it was the first time you felt it “Hey!-wh- why are you crying!? Did we say something wrong?!” Deuce was the first one to react, a funny reaction, you'd laugh if you could, Ace was second, as he shifted over to you and patted you on your back“Hey Y/N it's okay, we understand, we got you, you can let it out” Again that damned name of yours, did they really saw you as something else but the Prefect who cleans up after everything and everyone? Were they true friends? Will they stay?

And after you felt their warm bodies close to yours, hugging you tight, you realized that yes, they will stay, you know they will

BAM! JUMPSCARE! KIYUU LORE!

I finally finished these pages….. I actually drew the rough drafts at school, but I never planned on actually posting it because I was scared wasn’t into twst as much at the time.

Anyways, Ryoko (@kathxrat-01) and Kiyuu, who both lost their homes and are coping in completely diff ways. I don’t actually know THATT much about Ryoko’s mindset, but this is what I think based on the three comically tiny crumbs of twst Ryoko lore she gave me:

From what I know, Ryoko hasn’t completely lost all memories, unlike Kiyuu, but it still applies.

Augh…. Kiyuu who is content about nearly everything except home (the one thing [as of early in-game] she can't give up on)... Kiyuu who's scared she'll be forgotten here if she goes home.. But she can't give up home because she might not be the same person the people who might have been called family remembers.... Scrodinger's memories or something (deffo using that example wrong).....

I have many thoughts but I’d rather draw them out so it’s coherent, aha.

I have some writing juices today but idk if I'll finish something enough to post so here are some "Malleyuu scenes I can see vividly in my head and really want to write but haven't gotten around to yet" because who knows WHEN if ever I'll write these.

(DISCLAIMER: It's not specified but these are all set in aus!! Canon compliance? I'm sure she's lovely but I don't know her)

Scene where Yuu wakes up in the Draconias' castle after being rescued by Prince Malleus (secretly their bestie Tsunotarou) and they get dragged around by the castle staff into a warm bath, fitted into fancy castle clothes, and guided to an extravagant dining table to have a mouth-watering breakfast. Everyone is making a fuss about how Yuu is the prince's special guest so they HAVE to be served flawlessly and have all their needs met, meanwhile Yuu is just. Incredibly confused.

Scene where Yuu gets attacked/kidnapped and the Heartslabyul boys are there to save them, but suddenly a bigass dragon shows up out of nowhere and ofc everyone is scared shitless. The dragon fucks up the attackers/kidnappers so Heartslabyul and Yuu take their chance to flee. Before they can get away though, the dragon swoops down on them. They all drop to the ground, but the dragon manages to snatch up Yuu in its claws (with Grim squished in there too) and flies off with them.

Yuu gets kidnapped part 2: Heartslabyul FREAKS out bcs of course they do their friend just got yoinked by a DRAGON. But when Adeuce go to save them (against Riddle's orders ofc. It's too dangerous and he didn't wanna risk losing them too 🥺) they're unexpectedly welcomed into the Draconias' castle and instead of seeing their friends in peril like they expected, they stumble upon the strange sight of Yuu and Grim living luxuriously; being fed the most delicious foods, sleeping on the silkiest sheets, and being dressed in the finest clothes. Neither Yuu and Grim know wtf is going on either but they're not complaining.

Scene where Yuu gets a message from their friend Tsunotarou to evacuate the people of their town. Tsunotarou doesn't explain why, but Yuu trusts him so they do as he says. After evacuating, Yuu along with the townsfolk watch from afar as an army of fae led by dragons descend upon the kingdom.

Possible part 2 to the previous one? The country's been liberated from the tyrant king or whatever and the fae are helping the humans get back on their feet or smthg. Anyways scene where Yuu is either: a) summoned to stand before the fae royalty (THE DRAGONS) b) VISITED by the fae royalty (still THE DRAGONS) and for both they think they're in big trouble for whatever reason but then PLOT TWIST one of the dragons is TSUNOTAROU!!!! (these two last ones could fit into my one-shot "Break in the Clouds" actually :O)

For the ask game my son Ace Trappola plz and thank you My Liege 🙏‼️

Ace, my beloved son! Gosh, you know, I did not like him as much as Deuce for a long time but you KNOW he’s grown on me like some kind of mildly annoying lichen. I like that he’s a character who consistently looks out for Yuu. He’ll complain about it to the ends of the world, but while Deuce feels like someone who would protect Yuu, but doesn’t necessarily think about them unless it’s pointed out/he’s reminded, Ace feels like someone who always has a tiny part of his brain thinking about Yuu, kind of subtly looking out for them even if he expresses it less often. I really appreciate him. He’s learned that big brother instinct from his own big bro.

I don’t have very many romantic ships for Ace, honestly. Maybe just him and Deuce? And even that one’s more of a ‘yeah I kind of like this’ instead of a ‘I strongly ship it.’

Non-romantic it’s HEARTSHACKLE FOREVER. He is best friends forever with Deuce, Grim, and Yuu. No ifs ands or buts. Ride or die until the end of days.

I don’t even think I have an unpopular opinion about Ace, honestly. Maybe just that I see him being extremely platonic with Yuu and not genuinely romantically interested in them? But that’s even just a personal interpretation thing, not a strongly held opinion.

This last one’s hard bc the story’s not over yet, so they could still do stuff… I kind of want to see Ace genuinely admit he cares about Yuu and Grim and that he’s scared of their friend group getting broken up. I want to see him talk to Cater about it specifically, since I think they’d have some similarities in that department.

It's only gonna get more chaotic from here on out, and if you look to your left, we got an impending Birthday Party in the making, cuz Floof takes birthdays SERIOUSLY.

Swallow ― fun facts

so i made a post like this for Lysander/my Yuu and i since i had a lot of fun writing it, i thought i'll make them for my other OCs as well since it's a nice and low effort way to let you guys learn more about the OCs i don't talk about as much (even tho i really should). so this time: Swallow Reynard aka my Robin Hood OC aka my beloved fox boy who i think about so much yet never post about </3. enjoy!

he's actually an orphan; when his father was coming back from night shift at work, he had found tiny baby Swallow in a bag at a train station and took him home. Swallow treats his adoptive parents as his real family in every sense of the word and has no interest in trying to find his biological parents

his parents are working class people, not especially wealthy, and they live in a more rural area. he had grew up in a house full of people since beside him and his parents, a few other relatives of them live there as well (one of his grandmas, a few of his aunts/uncles, his cousins). his family is also very close with their neighbours; the place they live in is one where everyone knows eachother. it's mostly why Swallow is so community oriented

he doesn't have actual siblings but he basically treats all of his cousins as his siblings. he's the oldest kid at their house and so naturally he was always the "leader" of their little group and would always come up with what games they would play. he's also very protective over them and did get into fights with any kids who would make fun of them

despite coming from the Queendom of Roses, culturally Swallow is the fantasy equivalent of Polish — his parents are immigrants (i mean, what's a fantasy version of the UK without Polish immigrants?). they taught him a lot about the culture and they would usually speak Polish while at home, so Swallow knows the language as well (you can imagine that he says everything with rolled r <3)

also Riddle collared him once for trying to teach the first years Polish swear words LMAO

fox beastmen tend to be on the smaller side (since, you know, foxes generally aren't know for being super big animals) so he's actually the shortest person in his family

has a lot of scars all over his body — when asked about it, he will tell you many fantastic tales about how he got them while doing something cool and heroic but the truth is that they're either a result of extremely stupid accidents that happened while he was playing outside or getting into fights with other kids

he has a septum piercing and a nose percing — both were done at home with the help of his cousins (the fact that he didn't get any infection and they generally healed pretty okay is a miracle)

like Ruggie, he had worked A LOT of odd jobs around the neighbourhood to help out his family

he's actually the only person in his immediate family that has magic — his parents boast to EVERYONE about their mage son who got into a prestigious magic school <3

his signature spell, Merry Thief, allows him to walk without making a sound or casting a shadow and appropriately to the name it had manifested when he was on the run from authorities

story-wise, the Heartshackle gang would first meet him after they got kicked out of the first Unbirthday party; he was sitting outside of the dorm, because he "refused to take part in Riddle’s tyrannical ways" as he'd say it. he doesn't really do much as far as the plot goes but he does provide some exposition on Riddle’s magic and why nobody was able to stop him before (also depending on the Yuu you put in the situation, he may shamelessly flirt with them LMAO)

to the surprise of everyone, he remembers most of the Queen's rules; back in their freshman year he would learn them so he could purposefully break them to prove a point to Riddle (not that it worked in any way but it didn't stop him from trying)
