Pairing: Terzo x male reader

Summary: noticing you're having a terrible time, Terzo comforts you the best way he knows.

"Caro?"

Tears run down your face, your breathing shallow and quick. It's happening again.

You barely take notice of Terzo squatting next to you as you sit, curled up in the corner, your whole body shaking. Your mind races, you can't focus on a single thing. Fuck, fuck, fuck, why does it have to happen to you?

"Ragazzino, you're shaking. I can tell you're not doing okay." Terzo places a tender hand on your shoulder. His touch grounds you back to reality, and you realize he's there.

"I'm s-sorry" that's all you can say between the tears that keep falling, hiding your face in your hands, embarrassed. You hate when Terzo sees you like this, at your most vulnerable.

"No need to be sorry, cuore mio. It's okay, your Papa is here. You are safe with me " He says with a gentle voice, wrapping his arm around you, pulling you closer into a hug. "Now, let's do what we do when you have a panic attack, shall we? Let's take some deep breaths, si?"

Your stiff muscles soften when you realize he's pulling your head close to his chest. Almost instinctively, you snuggle into his sternum, pressing your ear against it. Then you hear the sweetest sound in the world: the soft thumping of his heart. Your favorite song.

"That's it, mio bello ragazzo. Now put your hand on my stomach and breathe with me, okay?" Terzo commands softly and you comply, inhaling deeply as you feel his stomach swell up. Your ear on his chest, you can hear the air coming in and out of his lungs, all while his beautiful heartbeat resounds in the background.

"Very well, caro, you're doing very well. Breathe in... Breathe out..." Terzo whispers as he kisses your head. "Ti amo così tanto che mi fa male..."

You don't know how many breaths you take until you finally calm down. But it doesn't matter. It feels like time stops when you're wrapped in Terzo's arms, that special place that truly feels like home to you. Sometimes home isn't four walls, but two mismatched eyes and a heartbeat against your ear. And Terzo knows how much you love listening to his heartbeat - that pretty little tune that's so uniquely his, and such an intimate part of him, that makes you feel like you and him are one. Your own heartbeat has slowed down, and when you notice, you realize it's syncing with his.

Two hearts beating as one... Is it just some silly romantic trope, or is it a real thing?

Terzo pulls away slightly from the embrace.

"Are you calmer now?" He asks.

"I guess so... But can you hold me for a little longer, please?" You plead.

"Of course, tesorino. Come here." Terzo smiles, patting his chest.

According to NBC here in the US, the missing titanic sub has been found. As debris. Off the bow of the Titanic wreckage.

And it looks like the sub suffered what we all suspected, and what was undoubtedly the more merciful of the two options: a catastrophic implosion from the pressure.

Also, more info has come to light about the fishing trawler with the hundreds of migrants that sank cataclysmically off the coast of Greece, indicating that the greek coast guard knew about the vessel AND how much trouble the vessel was in, and were towing it at a speed that made it capsize, at which point they unhooked the tow line and watched the trawler sink without helping the passengers to safety. Despite a bunch of other ships trying to help as well throughout the whole ordeal.

So a lot of people are dead, all because of regulations (and the lack thereof) regarding sea-faring vessels and rescue protocols. People shouldnt be allowed to make a business charging a ton of money for a ride on an uncertified, unsafe, un-seaworthy ship going deep into the ocean with no distress beacon or tether to the mothership. People also shouldnt be allowed to enact laws that criminalize the ferrying of refugees, which then force the refugees to hitch rides on fishing trawlers, and which also prevent people from helping those fishing trawlers full of refugees due to fear of legal consequences.

Hopefully BOTH of these events spark changes on an international scale in terms of what is legally allowed to be sailed, who is legally allowed to be the passengers, and what the rescue protocols are in the event of disaster for any seafaring vessel, illegal or not. It shouldnt be just the global 1% who get 24/7 search parties and remote-operated submersibles helping rescue them.

It’s been on my mind lately that I had a lot of these Spotify song requests that I finished and never got around to posting, so I’m gonna try to chip away at posting these over the next few weeks! BUT Hi Ghost :] It’s so funny this was the song you ended up getting the number for; I had actually listened to it on loop during the deepest trenches of ranchers brainrot however many months ago, so I’m really happy I ended up being able to draw something for them!! <3 This is also the part where I expose myself for being an unashamed band kid =w= Grainger’s one of my favorite composers, so I listen to his works a lot and couldn’t help associating the really soft hopeful horns with this kind of healing period for the ranchers ;w;

I probably won’t ever really go into the details of the m-1 server’s overall plot, but I think the general vibe for m-1 ranchers is that these little moments of soft sunlight and healing bones were some of the most needed for them, so that’s why scenes like this always stand out in my mind <3 Context aside though, I think m-1 ranchers are just super sweet so!! figured I’d Full-Send share this soft doodle of them :]

Phantom not only has a naturally fast heartbeat, he also may have some sort of "white coat syndrome", meaning that he gets anxious around doctors and his heart rate goes up during examinations.

So Omega listens to his heart and it's beating like a hummingbird's. He takes his blood pressure and it's a bit high. Meanwhile, Phantom is all nervous and blushy, averting his gaze. Secretly, he may or may not have a thing for that, since he feels like Omega is accessing an intimate part of his, and his innermost emotions are being read like an open book...
