The characters

Based on my Rotbtd story. The profiles are found on the computer version of my tumblr blog site, but I wanted to have some sort of collective post with them here too, while adding some details. Just because I like profiles 👍

The protagonists of Rotbtd

Hiccup

Age: 20 Height: 6'1" (185 cm) Home: Isle of Berk Guardian core: Friendship Likes: Dragons, flying, exploring, inventions and crafting, diplomacy, sketching, crabcakes, sarcasm, learning about dragons Dislikes: Cruelty, betrayal, arguing with dad, dishonesty, restrictions, being told what to do, manipulation, dragon abuse

An adventurous viking and the future Chief from Berk, Hiccup’s dream is to further study the dragons and explore the world. While being hesitant about Guardianhood at first, he’s a natural leader and keeps the team moving through hardships. As innovative technical genius Hiccup relies more on strategies and sometimes his stubborness of wanting to do things his way can even come off as stalling. Hiccup is the Guardian of friendship, symbolised by his bond with his dragon partner Toothless.

Merida

Age: 17-18 Height: 5'4" (164 cm) Home: DunBroch Guardian core: Courage Likes: Archery, horse-riding, adventures, training, sweets, having fun, free days off, story-telling, being a Guardian Dislikes: Nagging, tight clothes, restrictions, customs and traditions, inactivity, being told what to do, her mother's temper

A princess from the kingdom of DunBroch. Out of the four Merida is the first to embrace Guardianhood, seeing it as an escape from her fate at home and her mother’s demands. Wanting to take immediate action she can come off as hotheaded and inconsiderate, but she deeply cares for the well-being of the people and her team. Merida is an excellent archer and a loyal friend, stopping at nothing to help those in need. She’s the Guardian of courage.

Jack

Age: 17-18 Height: 5'8" (175 cm) Home: ??? (Burgess) Guardian core: Fun Likes: Pranks, flying, having fun, facing challenges, snowball fights, honesty, children, having friends and love Dislikes: Mind games, restrictions, friends' suffering, manipulation, being alone, cruelty, the Man in the Moon

Resurrected by the Man in Moon a few years earlier, Jack woke up confused and alone. Due to his distrust at the Man in Moon he also doubts the whole Guardianhood at first. A free spirit, Jack tends to hide his insecurities under jokes but under the bratty behaviour beats the brave heart of a Guardian. Jack possesses ice powers and cannot remember anything but glimpses of his past, making him an enigma. As the Guardian of fun he lightens up the team.

Rapunzel

Age: 18 Height: 5'5" (167 cm) Home: Kingdom of Corona Guardian core: Imagination Likes: Art, house chores, ducklings, adventures, baking, facing challenges, pranks, singing, being able to go outside Dislikes: Being alone, arguments, betrayal, selfishness, boredom, getting confined, dishonesty, wearing shoes

Born with mystical powers, Rapunzel was raised in isolation by her paranoid mother. Spending her days dreaming about the world outside, she’s always harboured love for adventure and embraces the journey. She can appear naive and insecure but in reality is very clever and resourceful. Her positive outlook also helps the team come together, though sometimes she gets frustrated at the bickering group. A great artist, Rapunzel’s the Guardian of imagination.

The DunBroch Family.

Merida never married, but she had daughters with a descendant of one of the three brothers of Mor’du (a great grandnephew).

Merida and Alastair shared a deep bond rooted in their mutual defiance of societal expectations. While Merida challenged the stereotypical princess role Alastair did so by embracing more "feminine" interests, like painting, sewing, and music. They connected over their shared sense of individuality and independence. Merida admired Alastair’s intelligence, diplomacy, curiosity, and adventurous spirit, while he valued her fierce spirit. Though romance never bloomed between them, their friendship was unwavering.

Now Merida, who had always adored caring for her younger brothers, knew she wanted children but still had no desire to marry. She asked Alastair if he would father her child, and he agreed. Together, they had triplet girls Annora, Moira, and Adira. Alastair, though he didn’t live with them, remained a loving father and frequently visited, continuing to share adventures and his wisdom with Merida and their daughters.

Annora

Annora has inherited Elinor’s elegance, always composed and calm, even in high-pressure situations. As a "proper" princess, her regal appearance commands respect from those around her, and she carries herself with graceful authority, never straying far from the customs and traditions of her heritage.

From Alastair, she has inherited a love for the arts and intellectual pursuits. Annora is an accomplished musician, painter, and writer. She is very educated and knowledgeable, often admired for her intellect and quick wit. Like Alastair she is skilled at resolving conflicts with words rather than force. Her ability to empathize with others and find common ground is her greatest strength.

While she respects and upholds many of the traditional customs of her heritage, she remains open to new ideas, particularly those that challenge outdated norms. This open-mindedness, influenced by her mother’s defiance of societal expectations, makes her a bridge between the old ways and the evolving future.

Annora is confident and she can be a bit stern, especially when she needs to take control of a situation that might go wrong, but her kind and caring nature always shines through. Annora is deeply compassionate and loyal, always ready to support and care for her family and friends. Despite her elegance, Annora has a playful side that emerges when she's with her sisters, Moira and Adira.

Overall Annora's personality is a blend of seriousness and lightheartedness. She is a unique harmony between traditional elegance and progressive thinking. Her composure and responsibility are balanced by her playful spirit and deep compassion, making her both a poised leader and a loving sister.

Moira

Moira is the creative and daring type, always brimming with energy and an adventurous spirit. Kind and caring at heart, she has an innocence about her that makes her a bit naive at times, but her quick wit often pulls her through tricky situations. Much like her mother, Merida, Moira loves riding her horse, practicing her archery, and wandering around the forest. She has a love for exploring her surroundings and finds joy in the simplest moments.

On her adventures she always brings a sketchbook along with her capturing the beauty of the landscapes before her. She is very talented at drawing. While she is free-spirited and energetic, Moira also has a deep appreciation for traditions, enjoying the stories and customs passed down to her and finding beauty in the rituals of her heritage.

Daring and brave, she’s never one to back down from a challenge and has a fiercer edge that shines through when the moment calls for it. Despite her boldness, Moira remains playful and lighthearted, often bringing joy to those around her with her adventurous tales and enthusiasm.

Adira

Adira is a bold, brave, daring, courageous, stubborn, rebellious, and headstrong girl. She is a whirlwind of energy and adventure, embodying a wild and free-spirited nature. She is always seeking the next challenge and is never content to sit still. Unruly and loud, she often stands out with her tomboyish demeanor, never shying away from getting her hands dirty or chasing the next thrill. Her impulsive nature makes her quick to action, sometimes without thinking, and she has a short temper that flares up easily, especially when things don’t go her way.

While her brashness can come across as slightly selfish at times, Adira has a kind strong heart, always determined to prove her strength and capability. Despite her kind heart her raw strength, pride, and stubbornness give her the potential to be a fearsome force. She harbors a competitive drive to be the best, and her frustration with limitations or challenges can turn into a dangerous hunger for power if left unchecked. Adira knows she has the potential to become someone feared if she allows pride and anger to control her actions. Yet, what keeps her grounded is her deep love for her family and fierce loyalty to her sisters.

Much like her mother, Adira is skilled at archery, an activity that she loves doing. She shares a playful side with her sisters, often keeping things light-hearted, though her hyperactivity can make her difficult to keep up with. Despite her strong-willed and unruly personality, Adira’s bold spirit and boundless energy make her a force to be reckoned with, always keeping her family on their toes.

Alastair is a gentle, intellectual, and somewhat rebellious young man. He is stubborn when it comes to his deeply held beliefs and principles, yet he expresses his defiance in a calm, measured way, never raising his voice but standing firm in what he believes in. Although he doesn’t fit into the traditional male role of his society, he holds a deep love for customs and traditions, appreciating the beauty in heritage while rejecting the rigid expectations others place on him. His passion lies in the creative arts—painting, drawing, sewing, writing poetry, and playing music are his favourite pastimes, all of which are often considered feminine to others.

Despite his graceful demeanor and refined manners, he is no stranger to adventure. He enjoys riding his horse, exploring the countryside, and allowing his curiosity to guide him to new discoveries. Always diplomatic, he is quick-witted and wise, keeping a calm head in dangerous situations and resolving conflicts with reason and understanding. Loyal and compassionate, he listens carefully to others, remaining open-minded and kind, no matter the circumstances.

Beneath his calm and elegant exterior, he has a playful, adventurous side, enjoying lighthearted moments and spontaneous exploration. His sharp intellect, combined with his caring and graceful nature, makes him both an unconventional man and an admirable one.

Mericcup//Meet Ugly

my first submission for @allthingsmericcup 's Mericcup month<33(Pirate merida x mermaid hiccup)

---Merida Dunbroch was a famed pirate, know all to well for her sea skills and ability to sneak around anywhere. As the beloved pirate hoisted up the net she had cast into the water in hopes to catch fish, she struggled. The net moved around quickly and the weight was more than most fish combined. She looked up to see what she caught, hoping to not see any kind of shark that planned to tear apart her net and ship. However, she saw no shark, what she did see made her eyes widen. Inside the net, was brunet boy, who's legs had been replaced with a dark green tail. Merida's hands fumbled as she nearly dropped the rope in shock, quickly grabbing it again while the boy flailed around in attempts to escape the net. He glared at Merida and hissed, scooting as far from her as possible. "Let me go! I don't know what you want with me but no way am I letting some pirate be the reason I die!" He snapped, the red head just stepping closer to him. "What are you?" she mumbled, extending her own hand out to try and touch his hand. The mermaid quickly pulled his hand away from her, gaze softening slightly. "You- you really don't have know?" His head tilted slightly, revealing aquatic like ears instead of the normal kind along with scales that covered his shoulders lightly. Merida shook her head. "I- uh- no! no, not at all! I was just trying to fish, my intention wasn't to catch you-... whatever you are-. do you have a name? Calling you a 'thing' or 'creature' doesn't feel right-" The brown haired male was quiet for a second before speaking up, body less tense than before. "Hiccup, and you are?" Merida smile softly and tipped her hat playfully. "Merida, Merida Dunbroch, world famous pirate!" she gave a playful bow and listened to Hiccup laugh lightly. "Well, world famous pirate, Merida, is there any chance you could free the sea famous killer whale tamer?" Merida hummed as if thinking before cutting open the rope. "I think I can do that..,so long as he promises to come and visit me every now and then." Merida would be lying if she said that her heart didn't flutter a bit when she saw Hiccup perk up and nod. "He absolutely can" Hiccup leaned forward, closer to Merida as the pirate did the same, her heart racing in her chest. Well- before the mermaid pulled her hat over her eyes with a light hearted laugh as he fell back into the water. "See you later, Merida the pirate!" Merida quickly moved her hat and watched at Hiccup swam off, soft smile on her face and a light blush on her cheeks.

The Realms of the Magic Kingdom!

As many of you know, next year will mark the 70th anniversary of The Disney Parks.

And so in honor of that, I've decided that for one of my upcoming fanfics, I would receive a concept that's been about five years in the works!

Ever since 2019, I've always had the idea of a fanfic series with the premise of adventures taking place in the worlds within The Disney Parks.

But unfortunately, I didn't really have the skill to pull off something this ambitious.

But now, five years later, I think I'm ready.

So today, I wanted introduce you all to the world of my upcoming series.....

Adventures of the Magic Kingdom!

If the named hadn't clued you in already, this series takes place in The Magic Kingdom.

Well, a fictionalized version of it.

The park consists of eight uniquely-themed lands.

And within those lands, exists worlds known as realms.

And these realms can only be accessed by those with magical means.

Main Street:

Set in a fictional small American town in the Midwestern United States during the turn-of-the-century, Main Street U.S.A. gives us a glimpse at a somewhat romanticized version of the childhood of Walt Disney himself, and what life during the late 19th and early 20th century was like.

-Main Street U.S.A.: A small Midwestern town set during the mid-1910s. The streets accompanied by buildings and architecture of the Victorian style and filled automobiles of all kinds. There's tons of shops and restaurants to visit here. Along with some entertainment like a movie theater and a basement stadium. This realm is home to the characters from Lady and the Tramp and the Casey duology.

-London Town: London, England during the early 1960s. Home to the characters of 101 Dalmatians.

Fantasyland:

The heart of The Magic Kingdom. Home to the fantastical realms of various fairy tales, folk stories, classic literature and European legends. Here you can meet famous fantastical characters like Snow White, Cinderella, Alice, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Ariel, Pinocchio, Rapunzel, Aurora, Merlin, Arthur, and many more!

-Perceforest: The kingdom of Sleeping Beauty.

-Wonderland: The topsy-turvy world where all logic is defied. Home to the characters from Alice in Wonderland.

-The Aberson and Pearl Circus Grounds: The always traveling grounds of The Aberson and Pearl Circus. Home to the characters from Dumbo.

-Camelot: The legendary English kingdom. Home to the characters from The Sword in the Stone.

-Matterhorn Mountain: A massive mountain in The Swiss Alps, accompanied by a quaint Bavarian village, lush mountain forests, snowy slopes, and icy caverns. Oh yeah, and The Abominable Snowman.

-Toad Country: A town on the English countryside, inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Home to the characters from The Wind in the Willows.

-Neverland: The magical island, right within the second star to the right. Home to the characters from Peter Pan.

-Collodi: An Italian village. Home to the characters from Pinocchio.

-Sneewittchen: The kingdom of Snow White.

-Atlantica: The kingdom from The Little Mermaid.

-Villeneuve: The kingdom of Beauty and the Beast.

-Perrault: The kingdom of Cinderella.

-Corona: The kingdom from Tangled.

-The Hundred Acre Wood: The woodlands that's home to Winnie the Pooh and his friend.

-Arendelle: The kingdom from Frozen.

-DunBroch: The kingdom from Brave.

-Olympus: The realm of Greek myths. Home to the characters from Hercules.

-La Cité des Cloches: 15th century Paris. Home to the characters from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

-Nottingham: The kingdom from Robin Hood.

-Mousedom: 1880s London. Home to the characters from The Great Mouse Detective.

-The Boiling Isles: The series of mystical islands from The Owl House.

-Udrogoth: The kingdom from Dave the Barbarian.

-Jollywood: The kingdom from The 7D.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge:

Enter into a galaxy far, far away. Explore the various locations from Star Wars, from Tatooine to The Death Star! Join the ranks of The Rebels and The Jedi and fight against the forces of The Dark Side! And become one with The Force!

The Galaxy Far, Far Away: The Star Wars universe.

Marvel's Super Hero City:

Enter into the massive Marvel Universe! Join forces with mighty heroes like Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, The X-Men, Iron Man, and many more! And face off against even mightier villains like Doctor Doom, The Green Goblin, The Red Skull, The Mandarin, Magneto, The Abomination, and more!

The World of Marvels: The Marvel universe.

ToonTown:

The homeland of Mickey Mouse himself! Along with the rest of his famous pals: Donald, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and Pluto. But they’re not the only ones. You’ll also find the stars of Disney’s animated television shows here as well!

-ToonTown: The home realm of the Mickey Mouse and Roger Rabbit cast.

-Cape Suzette: The home realm of the characters of TaleSpin.

-St. Canard: The home realm of the Darkwing Duck characters.

-New York City: The home realm of the characters of Gargoyles and American Dragon: Jake Long.

-Germainville: The home realm of the Recess characters.

-Hazelnut: The home realm of the Pepper Ann characters.

-Greendale: The home realm of the characters of Sabrina: The Animated Series.

-Metro City: The home realm of the Inspector Gadget characters.

-Springfield: The home realm of the characters of The Simpsons.

-East-Westland: The home realm of the characters of Teacher's Pet.

-Bahia Bay: The home realm of the characters from The Weekenders.

-Wizville: The home realm of the characters from The Proud Family.

-Middleton: The home realm of the characters from Kim Possible.

-Minneapolis: The home realm of the characters from Fillmore!

-Pleasant Hills: The home realm of the characters from The Replacements.

-Danville: The home realm of the characters from Phineas and Ferb and Milo's Murphy Law.

-Plainview: The home realm of the characters from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

-Norrisville: The home realm of the characters from Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja.

-Big City: The home realm of the characters from Big City Greens.

-Brighton: The home realm of the characters from The Ghost and Molly McGee.

Westernland:

A step back into the yesteryears of America. From the colonial days in the Northeast, to the ever-growing expansion into the Western frontier. This land covers a ton of ground about America's past. Its presidential history, its folk heroes, its wildlife, and its indigenous culture.

-The Land of Legends: A paradoxically timeless version of the United States and northern Mexico, with different parts of it being set during different time periods of sorts. Home to various figures of American folklore and history. This includes the likes of the American presidents like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, Sitting Bull, Pocahontas, Crazy Horse, Patrick Henry, Betsy Ross, Geronimo, Red Cloud, John Chapman, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Mike Fink, Calamity Jane, Jigger Johnson, John Henry, Molly Pitcher, Billy the Kid, Buffalo Bill, Anne Oakley, Paul Bunyan and Babe, Johnny Kaw, John the Conquerer, Pecos Bill, Captain Stormalong, Johnny Appleseed, Br'er Rabbit, Lewis and Clark, Sacagawea, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, John Magarac, Pancho Villa, Augustine Chacon, Juan Cortina, and Joaquin Murrieta. -Amphibia: The realm of......well, Amphibia.

-The Land of Great Spirits: Alaska during the last Ice Age. Home to the characters from Brother Bear.

-San Ángel/The Land of the Remembered: The realms from The Book of Life.

-Gravity Falls: Need I say more....?

Tomorrowland:

A glimpse into the possible world of tomorrow. Showcasing all kinds of potential achievements in just about every field of science and technology. This land will take you to the farthest reaches of both outer space and liquid space.

-Cosmopolis: A futuristic metropolis up in space.

-Toy Box: The home realm of the characters from Toy Story.

-The Great Barrier Reef: The home realm of the characters from Finding Nemo.

-Monstropolis: The home realm of the characters from Monsters, Inc.

-The Grid: The home realm of the characters from TRON.

-Kokaua Town: The home realm of the characters from Lilo & Stitch.

-Game Central Station: The home realm of the characters from Wreck-It Ralph.

-Todayland: The home realm of the characters from Meet the Robinsons.

-Treasure Galaxy: The home realm of the characters from Treasure Planet.

-Metroville: The home realm of the characters from The Incredibles.

-San Fransokyo: The home realm of the characters from Big Hero 6.

-Metropolis: The home realm of Metropolis Institute of Time Travel, where The Timekeeper lives.

-Landmark City: The home realm of the characters of Alpha Teens on Machine.

-Shuggazoom: The home realm of the characters from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce GO!

-The Yonder Galaxy: The home realm of the characters from Wander Over Yonder.

Adventureland:

A trip into the far-off, exotic regions of the world. From the darkest jungles of Africa, Asia and Latin America, to the hot deserts of the Middle East, to the tropical islands of The Caribbean and South Pacific, to the frigid fields of the North and South Poles.

-Tropical Waterways: A series of tropical rivers during the 1900s that consists of The Mekong, The Irrawaddy, The Ganges, The Nile, The Congo, The Rufiji, and The Amazon. Notable locations include The Lost River Delta, The Temple of the Forbidden Eye, The Seoni Jungle, and The Pride Lands. The home realm to the Jungle Cruise Navigation Company, as well as the characters from The Jungle Book, Tarzan, and The Lion King.

-The Desert of a 1001 Sands: The home realm to the stories of The 1001 Nights. Notable locations include the likes of the kingdom of Agrabah, Baghdad, and The Mystic Seas. Home to the characters from Aladdin, along with other 1001 Nights characters like Scheherazade, Sinbad the Sailor and Ali Baba.

-Ciudad de los Antiguos: The ruins of an ancient Mayan city deep in the jungles of Central America, now being used as an archeological site during the 1920s.

-Oriental Gardens: Ancient China, Japan and Korea. Home realm to the characters from Mulan.

-The Land of the Pharaohs: Egypt during the 1920s.

-The Caribbean: The West Indies during the Golden Age of Piracy. Home to the characters from Pirates of the Caribbean.

-The Pacific: Ancient Polynesia. Home realm to the characters from Moana.

-Atlantis: The fabled lost civilization. Home realm to the characters from Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

-The Kingdom of the Sun: Home realm to the characters from The Emperor’s New Groove.

-The Mysterious Ocean: Home realm to the characters from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

-The Earth’s Core: Home realm to the characters of Journey to the Center of the Earth.

-Astragard: Home realm to the characters of The Island at the Top of the World.

-New Switzerland: The home realm to the characters from The Swiss Family Robinson.

-The Adventure Bazaar: A popular shopping district in San Diego, themed around the exotic regions of the world. Perhaps its most renowned attraction is the nightclub, The Enchanted Tiki Room.

Well that’s all for now!

I had a lot of fun coming up with the various realms of this world.

The series itself will probably be out by either this coming spring or summer.
