this the type of shit i'm gonna be on this fall
#i really live by the seasons and i need routine in the fall and winter. especially to fight off the seasonal blues.#so i turn to familiar comforts#and rewatching 'peaky blinder' is fall routine i always partake in#god. i wish i could experience watching it all over again for the first time#the story line. the acting. the soundtrack. the cinematography. the overall tone of the show. it's so fucking well done.#and it's a bonus that the soundtrack consists of arctic monkeys and tlsp. and nick cave and p.j. harvey and bowie and others.#it makes me really happy and proud that they exist in soundtrack alongside artists of such a high calibre#and that their music helps to strengthen the show and elevate it to an even higher level#it's impossible to hear 'do i wanna know' and not think of tommy shelby in his office. so fucking BADASS UGH.#i can't wait to relive it for a hundredth time.#peaky blinders#mine

one piece openings so far have just been like
we are: i have bonkers catchy chords and my visuals are heartwarming, symbolic, and compelling. i can't wait to become an instant classic!
believe: maybe i'm a slight visual downgrade and a different vibe, but i have big shoes to fill! maybe i don't quite succeed at doing that but my vocals are still great and i do a fantastic job of showcasing how far the straw hats have already come!

Blacklisting all the Dune tags until I am able to watch on Sunday :(
I watched the first part in a near-empty theater and it was INSANE. It was one of the movies were I tried to watch again on HBO later on but it just wasn't the same - trust me go see it in theater !
People complaining about the first part being slow and unwatchable, sorry tiktok brain ruined your attention span lol but the worldbuilding and the visuals and the way Villeneuve framed the story was phenomenal I definitely recommend
That being said- Part 2 is watchable even if you missed part 1 - they split it into the political backstory half and action half of the plot, but you definitely should at least watch a background recap video of part 1 if you don't watch the full film before going into part 2, it's guaranteed to be a banger (but still see part 1 if you can)
So much modern media, both sci-fi and not, was inspired by Dune and I am always surprised how many people are unfamiliar with it. Please please please give this the Barbenheimer level of enthusiasm lol I miss people being hype for in-theater experiences and this is definitely one of them to be excited about

So fun fact, despite owning Frontiers since Christmas, I’ve yet to actually beat it. Got to island 3 then real life kept getting in the way one way or another.
But, my plan for this weekend, provided nothing gets in the way, is to finish it or at least make significant progress

people talk about pumped up kicks as the premiere "school shooting song that is really catchy" but they're fools because i don't like mondays by the boomtown rats is right there and has been for nearly fifty years.

mic the snare's deep discog dive on coldplay.....they were my favorurite band in the whole world between 2010 and late 2011 and this video is bringing back so many memories. their music meant so fucking much to me
#i'll defend their first 4 albums with my life. they're good and there's nothing wrong with being earnest and sincere!!!#the rock critics were all suffering from irony poisoning then thats their personal problem#but then everything they've released after that with the exception of 'charlie brown' 'hurts like heaven' and 'magic' is trash. t r a s h#the reason i lost interest late 2011 was because thats when 'every teardrop is a waterfall' and 'paradise' dropped and they sucked#also i was really into lotr around the same time so in my head coldplay kind of soundtracks a lot of lotr#i can't hear 'lost' without thinking about aragon#music is such a time machine their music really makes me feel like it's 2011. so many small moments i can remember so vividly
