Enjoy the tastes of a classic banana cream pie with this oatmeal recipe that is both healthy and filling. Natural sugars make it sweet, and healthy foods like oats, bananas, and nuts fill it up.
Ingredients: 1 ripe banana, mashed. 1 cup rolled oats. 2 cups unsweetened almond milk. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons maple syrup. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Pinch of salt. 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts. 1 tablespoon shredded coconut optional.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine mashed banana, rolled oats, almond milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the oats are cooked and the mixture is creamy, about 5-7 minutes. Divide the oatmeal into bowls and top with chopped walnuts and shredded coconut if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
