Onam is Kerala's major annual festival
Onam is t.he major festival in kerala.Onam festival although it is known to all, even then I wish to mention one line that according to legends, the festival is celebrated to commemorate King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit Kerala at the time of Onam. Further, it is a harvest festival. Anyway, few dishes which I enjoyed during Onam inter alia are a) Chor which is a variety of red rice. I personally feel if anyone has not tasted this variety of rice then please taste it, b) Morru Kachiyatha is prepared by boiling curd with black sesame seeds, shallots, ginger and garlic, c) Avial is a mixed vegetables prepared with grated coconut and coconut oil and milk, d) Kichadi, although it is called Kichadi but preparation is different than Bengali preparation. It is prepared with spicy curd and vegetables which can be ridge gourd, cucumber, bitter gourd etc, e) Kootu Curry is a dry curry prepared with raw bananas and black Bengal gram mixed with grated coconut and local spices. And another one which I remember is Thoran which is a staple item in every Malayali household. Generally, it is prepared with cabbage, carrots and beans with grated coconut. In addition, varieties of local pickles, along with Rasam, Sambar, Pappad are served.
Still, I remember these tasty vis-a-vis eye-catching dishes. Also its aroma can never be forgotten. While I am writing this article, my mouth is full of water. Hope next year, I will enjoy the dishes. I personally feel simply going to a Malayali restaurant and eating food is totally different than dishes prepared at home during festival.

the “shield around you” visualizations have never worked for me. energy shields “filter” and “soften” but don’t Numb. i’m a little too mentally/emotionally overstimulated to Process It As It Comes, like i normally do. ;;
i need to sleep-- it’s 4:40am and i’m taking my chins to the vet first thing in the morning (exotic vets open at 9:00am, and Dusty and Sisu got into a fight last night, they looked fine but i discovered a couple hours ago that Sisu’s bleeding from a wound on his neck and re-opened the little one on his foot, and Dusty’s ear is nicked, and bite wounds can get some awfully nasty infections. i want to get them on antibiotics, if possible.... so, vet ASAP. //and// i have to work tomorrow. but.)
two people in the house have a stomach bug. i think someone’s menstruating because I’m Hurting but It’s Vague like it usually is when it’s empathy. and between the stomach upset from the sickness and vague pain from either someone menstruating or someone having a rough bout of gas (???? i’m an empath not a doctor),
i can’t.

Simple Fish Fry

This amazing deep-fried non-vegetarian delight of a dish is simple to form and uses almost some ingredients!
Firstly, the fish has to be cleaned thoroughly, a minimum of thrice or even even more times, and put aside. Next, you would like to require a good bowl and add the subsequent ingredients to that – coriander powder, turmeric powder, red flavoring, salt, and juice, and make it into a paste-like consistency. you'll sprinkle a touch of water if needed. Now, you wish to feature the cleaned fish to the current mixture and blend well so the fish is smeared with the paste and also the tastes are absorbed by the meat.
Also, nicely and thickly coat the masala on all sides of the fish. This must be marinated for a minimum of half-hour so the spices and masalas are completely absorbed. Now, simply take heated oil during a pan or a Kadhai and fry the fish meat until it takes on a dark brown colour.

5 to six pieces - fish
2 tsp - red chilli powder
1/2 tsp - coriander powder (optional)
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - juice
Salt to taste
Oil to toast/deep fry
How to Make Fish Fry?
Clean fish and wash it twice to thrice. Set aside.
In a wide bowl, add red chilli, turmeric powder, coriander powder, juice and required salt. Sprinkle a touch of water to create a paste-like consistency.
Then add the fish and blend well.
Coat the masala on all sides of the fish and marinate for a minimum of 30 mins.
Heat oil during a pan or dosa tawa and fry the fish until the fish turns dark brown in colour.
