The last chapter of Healing The Blooming Crocus has just dropped! It's time to binge-read! 🧡📖
Chapter 21: It can't be hygge without your family and friends
‘It sounds divine…’
Honeymaren recently learned that word, and she didn’t need to use it in her thoughts. But she couldn’t deny that it was the right term to express how she felt. The sound she heard was out of this world, pure, soft and strong at the same time, like a caress with character.
She stepped inside the room, a smile tugging her lips at the sight, which was just as heavenly.
Elsa playing the piano.
Actually, the more Honeymaren listened to the music, the more she realized that its style represented Elsa a lot. The action even reminded Honeymaren of the times she had fun with her magic in the Forest. Also, Elsa didn’t know that she was being observed at this very moment, and seeing her play the piano for herself was wonderful.
The Northuldra silently leaned against the wall next to the door, making herself nearly invisible, not unlike when she was hunting. But her girlfriend wasn’t prey; if anything, Honeymaren was in utter awe of her movements.
Elsa has seized the opportunity that the castle was nearly empty due to the staff busy outdoors to play a little. Though that was an understatement, for she had been at it for a long time now, and Honeymaren was almost glad to have been separated from her for the past hour so she could experience such a moment.
The brunette had been helping Anna and Kristoff in the courtyard with the preparations for the feast of the evening, to receive the Arendellian soldiers in the most honorable setting. The stable logistics took a while, and when Honeymaren wondered what her girlfriend had been doing inside in the meantime, she had been greeted by an enchanting melody as soon as she reached the first floor.
Honeymaren smiled tenderly as Elsa’s fingers were dancing, leaping and waving on the black and white keys. It was mesmerizing to watch, and soothing to listen. It was like one of her lullabies, even if the melody was quite rhythmic with a tempo that couldn't possibly put someone asleep. Yet the brunette knew that if she just laid down, Elsa could make her dream in no time just by the emotional way the melody was conveyed.
The only thing more beautiful to Honeymaren’s eyes was Elsa’s blissed face as she was playing. The blonde had a soft smile on her lips and her gaze gently laid on the tiles as she had fun. She looked so happy that it seemed that she was brighter than the sunlight bathing the room.
The halo wrapped the grand piano and its player in a warm cocoon, and Honeymaren easily understood why the blonde hadn’t seen time pass. Lost in the feeling, she definitely was on another plane of existence.
Her body was slightly rocking back and forth as she played, her head sometimes tilting on the side depending on the emotion of the notes, her bare foot pushing the pedals underneath to sometimes sustain the sound.
Honeymaren wanted to stare at this scene forever, but the melody eventually came to an end and Elsa stopped. She closed her eyes and breathed in and out with a happy smile, her hands resting on the keys.
The brunette pushed herself from the wall and walked to her.
“That was incredibly beautiful.”
Elsa gasped with a jump on the piano bench, and turned to her girlfriend with wide eyes and a hand over her chest.
She also had a pale face of surprise, indicating that she was mortified to have been observed.
“Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.” Apologized Honeymaren, hoping that she didn’t make her sad.
Of course, Elsa and her were very intimate, and shared everything, but the brunette respected her extreme introversion.
“Are you crazy?!” Scolded Elsa, her heart still drumming. “I could have frozen the whole piano!”
The Northuldra winced. She had no idea if Elsa was referring to the danger or the price of the certainly expensive instrument, so out of caution, she stepped back.
“I can go back outside if you want. You can keep playing on your own, really. The door was open, and I thought… I can even close it behind me if you want.” Blabbered the Northuldra, trying her best to make amends.
Elsa smiled tenderly at her care. “It’s fine. Please, stay.”
Her smile was encouraging, so Honeymaren walked back to her.
“I don't mind that you stepped in.” Said the blonde. “I'm just surprised that you listened.”
“How couldn't I? It was wonderful, and we can hear it from the staircase. I’m even wondering if the staff purposely slowed down their tasks to avoid making too much noise and listening to you. I knew that you played the piano, but I didn’t… I couldn’t possibly think that you were that good at it.”

The Flower Moon Talon Abraxas
Flower Moon Meaning
The Flower Moon’s name isn’t much of a mystery given the time of year it graces the sky. Gardens and landscapes are in full bloom with perennials such as primrose, bleeding heart, bloodroot, iris, violet, hellebore, peony, et cetera; flower trees such as pear, crape myrtle, crabapple, magnolia, redbud, dogwood, and others; and spring bulbs including bluebell, hyacinth, lily of the valley, tulip, daffodil, crocus, and more.
As for the May full moon’s other names, this is the time of year when the tribes and farmers plant corn. The frogs are singing their mating songs, and milk-producing livestock such as sheep, goats, and cows now have lush green pastures to fill their bellies and produce more milk.
Flower Moon Spiritual Meaning
The May full moon embodies the spirit of Beltane and all the energy of new life, passion, fire, and rebirth. It brings creativity, inspiration, and a sense of purpose with it.
The Flower Moon in May is a spiritual reminder that our goals should be manifesting. This is the blooming season, but it’s also the planting season. Tap into the energy for growth and fertility. Take some time to think about your intentions and what needs to be done in order to reach your goals come harvest season. This may mean asking yourself some hard questions and reevaluating your priorities and plans.
Don’t feel overwhelmed if you feel like the goals you set at the beginning of the year are still far away. We can’t magically leap to the top of the staircase in a single jump; the journey happens one step at a time. If you feel like you aren’t progressing, take a moment to focus. What do you need to prioritize? What is the next step forward that needs to be taken? What is holding you back (and therefore needs to be released)?
Let the spiritual energy of the Flower Moon inspire you to continue growing, even though it comes with a reminder that we can’t move forward until we let go of what’s inhibiting our ability to fully blossom.
Flower Moon Altar Tips, Colors, & Crystals
The most common altar colors for the Flower Moon are yellow, red, orange, and green. Freshly cut flowers make a perfect altar decoration.
In fact, you can go even further and find many more ways to incorporate flowers on this special night. Arrange them in vases to decorate your home. Integrate them into your tea and cooking. Add them to your bath. Press blossoms that you can later use in your book of shadows, journal, artwork, or even a thoughtful surprise tucked in a card for a loved one.
Crystals that work well with the Flower Moon include:
Moonstone – new beginnings, fertility, intuition, lunar/feminine energy
Selenite – purification, cleansing, protection, a symbol of light, ties to the moon
Labradorite – connect with the psyche, dreams, creative muses, spiritual awakening
Amethyst – spiritual protection, insight, self-reflection, shadow work
Rose Quartz – love, friendship, romance, self-love
Rhodonite – “stone of love,” passion, fertility, grounding energy, healing emotional scars
Flower Agate – new beginnings, self-growth, restores emotional balance
Moss Agate – restoration, healing, rebirth, a connection with earth and plants
Black Tourmaline – strength, stabilization, grounding, alleviating fear (onyx and obsidian are also good alternatives)
Smoky quartz – grounding, emotional calmness, stress relief
Clear quartz – healing, peace, cleansing the mind and aura, divination

- OC QUESTIONNAIRE
Thank you so much @latte-trait for the tag!! Since I already made one for Alika let's go with my favorite eldritch witch.
NAME: Mh- Ebenezer Schuster
NICKNAME: None that I'm aware of, unless Ebe counts as one.
GENDER: Let's just say it's complicated, shall we?
STAR SIGN: I'm a Virgo, which suits me quite well. But I think the Tiger from the chinese zodiac is a fair match too. Uh? I look young for my age? Don't think too hard about it, sweeting.
HEIGHT: 5'7 (175cm)
ORIENTATION: Such a specific question! Let's just say I care about "who" I have in front of me rather than "what". Humans are such interesting beings how could I ever restrict my interest to the body alone?
NATIONALITY/ETHNICITY: Made and raised in South California
FAVORITE FRUIT: Persimmon. They are wonderful to eat as they are or in any kind of seasonal recipe. Once I made a spiced honey persimmon toasts out of curiosity and it surely exceeded my expectations. Mh? You want the recipe? Very well.
FAVORITE SEASON: I never tought about it... Let's go with autumn.
FAVORITE FLOWER: Crocus. More precisely the Crocus sativus, which is an autumn blooming variety. Such a splendid specimen. You know, in the Victorian era it was a favorite in Victorian flower language. It was also believed to bring love and was often sent to a lover. It's also a splendid ingredient in alchemy and in the kitchen.
FAVORITE SCENT: Poppies, they reminds me of someone very dear to me.
COFFEE, TEA, or HOT CHOCOLATE: Coffee, french pressed.
AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP: I try to sleep 5,6 hours but it's not a task I'm very good at! Life is way too interesting to sleep that long.
DOGS or CATS: Definitely dogs. Nothing can compare with their blind obedience of the canine species. I think they are the perfect addicition for a family, don't you think?
DREAM TRIP: Oh dear me, I don't think it's a place I'll be able to see ever again.
NUMBER OF BLANKETS: How many I own? Oh- No no, darling. I use just one good old-fashioned quilt. Or at least I used to, my partner drastically upgraded the blankets numbers since they moved in.
RANDOM FACT: Practical magic is way more interesting than just making flowers grow and repair objects. When used wisely, it can affect the person itself. Healing magic is a branch of it, but alchemy is too. Practical magic is often overlooked, especially when seen side-by-side with the razzle-dazzling Mischief and Untamed magic… But I guess it's my predecessor's fault. [chuckles]
this time I'm tagging @adelarsims @madfeary @alinelie @lilypixels @occultradio !! (and whoever wants to do it please i NEED to read abt your ocs)

[ 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒 ] ― sender gives receiver flowers
the five senses meme / accepting / @farspirit
Elsa noted how the stressful day, her special day, was almost over as she allows herself to sit down at the table within the busy ballroom. Her feet were killing her from pacing around in the ballroom, too restless. She wasn't tired from dancing since she has yet to even dance with one person. She has skillfully deflected every potential person that boldly asked for her hand in a dance. She even managed to avoid dancing the the Duke of Weselton. The thought of dancing with anyone sounded like a nightmare waiting to happen, though it was certainly not anyone else's fault.
She has never been one to enjoy dancing, so feeling a shadow fall upon her already makes her groan on the inside. How many more people did she have to greet? How many hours is it going to take before this party will end? Elsa looks up at the person that has chosen to approach her. A rejection to the dance proposal, which is always crafted with a polite smile, is ready to leave her mouth...
Except she didn't receive an offer to dance.
Bright eyes widen the moment she spotted the sight of a massive bouquet.
She hasn't received flowers as a gift in so long, though she does remember the last time she received a gift from a stranger. She received a small bouquet of purple heathers from a child, an adoring child, on the day that her family's statue were revealed to the public and also her once complete family. It took years to complete, but the statue is one of the few references the people have of their royal family. The statue of herself was back when she was merely eleven-years-old, still a precious and polite child. The unveiling of the statue came with lots of cheer, but she also received a small bouquet of one of her favorite flowers. Calluna vulgaris, more commonly known as purple heathers, were only one of her many favorite flowers.
But right here, in her very arms, were flowers that aren't purple heathers...
They were, however, were still familiar sights.
Though she has always wanted to try her hand at growing flowers, she did not have the chance to try to grow flowers. Her curse made it impossible for her to even grow flowers, so she simply stopped trying to work with gardening. Though she did give up on her green thumb, Elsa still enjoyed to collect books on flowers and their many uses. She instantly spotted Arendelle's royal flower, the crocus, in all its beautiful glory. The crocus flowers were a symbol of rebirth, a flower that often bloomed between late winter and early springtime. Choosing a crocus is a safe choice for a gift, though it will always be pleasant to see her family's flower...even if it did make her feel a little sad.
The sight of the other flowers, however, did brighten her spirits. She recognized the lavender right away, though they were hidden quite well with an expert hand. She always enjoyed the scent of lavender. Purity, serenity, healing, calmness, devotion came to her mind... The lavender flower were one of her favorites, often enjoying to use it to help her for sleeping. She also enjoyed incorporating the flowers in tea blends from time to time, finding the taste and aroma to be very soothing.
What she didn't expect to see is the splash of blue amidst the purple. Forget-me-nots... How amusing to see them. This man is certainly quite bold with his choice in flower, though she still did like the sight of the forget-me-not flowers. Their shade of blue were always pleasant to her eyes, so she did enjoy their sight. Next came the final flower, a burst of blushing pink chrysanthemum flowers.
Anna would no doubt enjoy the chrysanthemum flowers more than her, but Elsa did not say that aloud. She breathes in the scent of all the flowers deeply, allowing herself to enjoy the moment. If all went well tonight, she did plan on sharing the massive bouquet with her sister. She would no doubt pick out the chrysanthemum flowers for her little sister, maybe even a couple of the crocus flowers. She would keep the lavender and the forget-me-nots for herself... She knew she wished Anna would forget about her, but that is besides the point.
"Is all of this for me?" Elsa knew the question sounded stupid as soon as it came out, but she wasn't prepared to receive a gift. Though she is still stunned by the gift, she remembers to smile as she takes the bouquet from his arms. She didn't recognize the man, but she still took the bouquet. Having both of her hands busy gave her a convenient excuse to avoid dancing with someone, including this dashing man. She is thankful she wore gloves even now. She didn't want to bring death to this gorgeous gift as soon as her bare hands touched the floral gift.
"Thank you for this wonderful gift. May I have the honor of knowing your name?" She inquired his name in the same breath as she thanked him, politeness instilled into her very bones. Anna would no doubt be fanning herself at the sight of this handsome face, especially if he gave her such an unexpected gift. Elsa, on the other hand, is more on the cautious side since she has always been like this for as long as she can remember. It wasn't this man's fault in the slightest, though she did ponder what his meaning behind the flowers were.
Even if she is leaning on the cautious side, she still does truly appreciate the gift. She will indeed cherish the gift, but she didn't plan on keeping it all for herself. Anna will be receiving some flowers, but she planned on giving some flowers to some of the more trusted staff members. She didn't need such a massive bouquet, so she planned on spreading this gift once everyone has left. Perhaps, maybe once she gathered enough courage, she will leave some flowers upon the graves of her parents. Even though there was nothing buried in the ground below, the thought of leaving flowers for her parents did feel like the right idea to do.
"I'm afraid that I don't recognize you, but I appreciate your lovely gift..." Elsa quietly admits, still remembering to keep the smile upon her pale face. She holds the bouquet more tighter at the reminder of her parents, but she skillfully does not let the creeping invasion of heartache to show upon her face. She is secretly relieved her gloved hands were now occupied, but she couldn't deny there is a chill in the air now that wasn't there seconds ago. Full arms saved herself from having to deal with guests that were too friendly, though she did begin to worry over this man before her. She wasn't sure if he was knowledgeable on the language of flowers as well as she was, so she held her tongue. She kept on smiling. It was as easy as the lies she has told tonight whenever someone asked her how she was feeling.

Homework:
1. I was born on March 20th, which makes me a Pisces, a water sign. I share a birthday with Spike Lee, Lois Lowry, and Tasia Alexis.
2. Pisces is a water sign associated with the colors light green and indigo. It is represented by two fish, usually koi, because Pisces it the Latin translation for fish. “In some Greek myths, the constellation Pisces represents the fish who helped the goddess Aphrodite and her son escape “the father of all monsters” by letting her change her shape and hide herself among them. In other myths, Aphrodite hid herself and her son within an egg that fell into the river. When the fishes rolled the egg to dry land, Aphrodite emerged and placed the fish constellation in the night sky as a symbol of gratitude” (color-meanings.com).
3. Pisces are associated with the planet Neptune in modern day, however, traditionally Pisces were ruled by Jupiter. Neptune is associated with therapy and healing, intuition, artistry, and spirituality.
4. Because Pisces are a water sign, I am drawing waves. We are strongly attached to the sea.
Attendance:
“Imagine a field in the predawn blue haze of an autumn morning. The field is small, and probably in Iran, although it could also be in Spain, Macedonia, Kashmir, France, or Morocco. As the sun rises it shows that the field, which had been bare earth the night before is carpeted with small violent blooms: thousands of Crocus sativus” (St Clair, p. 98). Crocus sativus is the name of a flower where saffron is derived from. Saffron can be used as a seasoning and coloring in food. It is also linked to improving heart disease risk, blood sugar levels, eyesight, and memory.

Imbolc: Midpoint Between Winter & Spring
History
Imbolc is a celebration of the end of winter nearing and light returning, as it is the midpoint between winter and spring. Imbolc represents that the hardest part of winter is over.
Imbolc is a time to plant seeds in the ground to watch them grow (weather and climate permitting), or plant ideas to see them germinate in the mind. Flowers soak up the wet Earth from all the snow and ready to bloom. Imbolc represents a time of rebirth, where we are awakening from the darkness of winter.
One goddess the Celts worshiped during Imbolc was Brigid, associated with poetry and fertility, and activities such as tending to livestock, healing, smithing, arts and crafts. Her role as the fertility goddess was important during Imbolc, but her healing powers and protective sense were important too. Like many mother goddesses she can preside over life and death. She is thought by many to be the Celtic equivalent to Roman goddess Minerva and Greek goddess Athena.
Brigid has a strong connection with the sun, which was important as Imbolc reflects the sun’s return. Brigid represented the light half of the year, and her presence was revered during Imbolc. On Imbolc Eve, she was said to visit the most virtuous homes and bless all those who slept in them, so people would leave pieces of clothing, food or other tokens at the entrance of their home. Offerings were also brought to waterways and wells that were named in Brigid’s honor.
How can I celebrate Imbolc?
Like many Wheel of the Year celebrations, Imbolc included bonfires. These were symbolic of the sun’s return. Rather than a huge bonfire at the center of celebrations, this celebration was more about hearth and home. Each home in the community would burn a fire through the night. You can honor this tradition by lighting candles around your house or having a bonfire in the crisp winter air.
Plan or plant your garden. Take time to plan the garden rotation or plant seeds.
Go on a walk in nature. Find any sign of spring that you can! Some early blooming plants have already started their journey out of the darkness.
Visit a waterway. Traditionally this was a time for visiting holy water to purify and bring fertility to dreams. If you find clean water, splash some on yourself as you set intentions to cleanse and purify. Thank the place you visit and pick up any trash you might see nearby.
Spring Cleaning Ritual. Cleanse your space with salt or smoke to make room for more energy. Open the windows and doors to let changing air come through your home. Or take the literal approach and start spring cleaning. Clear out unnecessary clutter or old memories. Make room in your house and body for new energy that spring brings.
Create an altar for Imbolc.
Gather fresh herbs or sprouts for your altar. Have candles, since Imbolc is very much about light. Brigid’s cross, corn dolls, cauldrons, white flowers, seeds, sun wheels and a dish of snow are great for this time of the year.
More associated herbs and flowers are: acorns, angelica, basil, bay, blackberry, chamomile, crocus, jasmine, lavender, rosemary
Colors: Brown, pink, green, yellow, red, white
Stones and Crystals: Amethyst, bloodstone, ruby, turquoise
Animals: Burrowing animals, bears, deer, lamb, sheep
Imbolc is associated with awakenings, blessings, fertility, fresh starts, home & hearth, hope, new life, protection, rebirth, reuniting, truth, wishing. It’s a great time to do spellwork that might correspond with these things.
Set your intentions. Since Imbolc isn’t long after New Year, it’s a great time to look deeper into your goals and intentions for the coming spring. Meditate or journal with your intentions and think about what you want to tend and grow this year in yourself and your world.

FRIENDSHIP W/ +*. @chaoshe ` s JESTER canon divergent + mentions of a developed au timeline/shared ideas from writing partner. Delmah belongs to nyx.
♦ . Frequently finds himself dropping by at Jester's to socialize and babysit Delmah after a year of repairing his home has come to pass and he decides to travel with Fjord overseas when not with Calliope on foot and after some planning — he and Jester open up a high tea + bakery shop in a quaint little part of the city. It’s no surprise but their shop has become quite popular.
♦ . He aids in Jester’s self healing, having her come to the Blooming Grove as Molly/Kingsley had to connect with nature and find balance in the soul. The Clays are quick to make Jester feel at home and welcomes her to the family as one of their own much to Caduceus’ approval.
♦ . Caduceus officiating Jester's wedding and weaving flowers ( his favourites : lily of the valley that symbolises a return to happiness and the crocus, which symbolises rebirth, joy and new beginnings ) in her hair and giving her a bouquet that Yasha helped put together. He’d bring hot choco to the reception too to balance out Beauregard’s crates of Lionett wine.

Children in Mythic Landscapes: Exploring the Narrative Arc in Bones and Skull
The presence of children in Bones and Skull: The Book of Meditations by Robert Antrim Calwell is more than incidental—it is foundational to the book’s exploration of hope, continuity, and morality. By placing children in a mythic landscape marked by innocence and peril, Calwell creates a narrative that underscores their symbolic role as agents of renewal and bearers of moral truths.
At the heart of the book’s narrative is the mythical setting of Weaver’s Mountain and the nearby Teardrop Falls. These locations are frequented by the Children, who represent innocence untainted by the complexities of adult life. The Children’s world is one of exploration and camaraderie, but it is also shadowed by danger, as exemplified by the ominous figure of the Weaver. The Children’s journeys to and from these places mirror the universal journey from naivety to experience and, ultimately, to wisdom.
One of the most memorable depictions of the Children is their confrontation with the Weaver, a figure who weaves the words and dreams of his victims into literal and figurative bonds. The Children’s brave decision to confront him is an allegory for the moral courage required to overcome fear and corruption. Their victory, achieved through unity and sacrifice, symbolizes the triumph of collective goodness over individual malevolence.
The Children’s relationship with the natural world further reinforces their symbolic role. Their affinity for Teardrop Falls—a site of both beauty and transformation—shows how they embody the cyclical forces of life and renewal. Even their connection to the hanging dwarf crocus, which blooms from the remains of the lost, suggests that the Children carry forward the legacies of those who came before them. This continuity ties the past to the future, affirming the idea that innocence, though vulnerable, has the power to heal and regenerate.
Calwell’s portrayal of the Children also touches on themes of morality. Their chants, such as “If I’m led to wander through, the clover in the sky. March on past thy chosen step, and then to Lullaby,” reflect a deep sense of spirituality and interconnectedness. Their actions, from devising plans to protect each other to their poignant sacrifices, serve as moral guideposts, reminding readers of the enduring importance of community and compassion.
In the end, the Children’s presence in Bones and Skull elevates the narrative from a tale of loss and struggle to one of hope and redemption. Their courage and innocence stand as a beacon, lighting the way through the darkest aspects of the human experience. By grounding the book’s mythic landscape in the actions and symbolism of the Children, Robert Antrim Calwell crafts a story that resonates with timeless truths about the human condition.

The Golden Spice: Kesar, a natural remedy
Health is Wealth (Small changes, life-long impact)
Kesar, sometimes referred to as saffron, is one of the world’s most valuable and historic spices, prized for its unique flavor, vivid color, and many health advantages.
Kesar is a spice that has been grown and valued for over 3,000 years. It is derived from the delicate stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower and is most commonly found in Persia (modern-day Iran), India, and Greece.
It has been utilized historically for a wide range of purposes, including religious and ceremonial rituals as well as culinary and medical purposes. Saffron is praised in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and mood-boosting qualities.
It is frequently used to treat conditions ranging from depression to digestive problems.
Gourmets value its exceptional capacity to improve the taste and presentation of food, which makes it an essential component of opulent recipes like desserts, risottos, and biryanis.
Beyond its utilitarian applications, kesar is a symbol of prosperity and purity and is frequently used in rites and rituals throughout various civilizations.
Its labor-intensive cultivation method and the enormous quantity of blooms needed to make a tiny bit of spice add to its great worth, frequently deserving of the moniker “red gold.”

Finding Tongues in Trees
The bark of most trees yields to growth by splitting or filling from within, but not so the sycamore. Its bark flakes in uneven pieces, leaves its surface mottled green and gray. Some mistake this for disease, mark the trunks with Xs, call the surgeons like we did for my father when he began to shed and shiver, his trunk covered with sores, bruises blooming on his limbs, the skin unable to stretch and accommodate what roiled beneath. We did not know how to speak to him of death, what words, until one day his frame, wasted and bent, adorned with damage, pulsed with light, and his heart, that most secret crocus, broke open and poured its bright into the winter air and even when he breathed his last, my God, there was music in that sigh, it was joyful, and the trees all waved their arms and taught us how to split and heal and sing.

Let there be sun and rain, But youth shouldn’t drain!
The monsoon weather is infamous for wreaking havoc on skin. The humidity effects will start appearing on the skin every now and then. Making us look dull, old, wrinkled and totally under the weather! But with little help of some miraculous potions, we can claim our youthful skin back, be it rain or shine. The power is hidden in saffron! Known to be one of the most expensive spices around the world, it is the ultimate in skin revitalization. With a heavy concentration of premium grades of Saffron, it defies all signs of dullness. Leaving no scope unturned, Mitchell USA Clear Balance has researched a new line of skin care that gets its power from this floral superpower.
Here comes the saviour! Saffron from Iran.
It blooms once a year in the autumn and its source, the crocus plant, which has to be harvested before the sun rises. The three crimson pistils that contain the precious saffron have to be plucked out by hand, and it takes 150 flowers to produce one gram of the high-value ingredient. Cleopatra mixed it with milk to bathe in, the spice was slathered over the body of ancient royalty as a sign of prosperity. Alexander the Great valued it for its ability to heal war wounds.
Efficacy is all in the extraction process. ‘SAARGOL’, as Saffron is called in Persian, uses a 4-step process which involves a constant distillation to make the most of its already powerful skin brightening properties. The essence of the pistils are extracted, clarified, distilled & then concentrated for maximum potency, four steps that result in more crocin & crocetin than the first group of extract. The potency in formula paired with the invigorating scent of Saffron.
Get it fixed
Moisturizing replenishes the skin’s natural moisture which can prevent dry and dull skin. All Saffron creams are formulated with specific radiance needs; keeping region specific skin and climatic conditions in mind. Clear Balance Youth Fix Serum also has toner properties. Sargol (Saffron), Squalene & Soy Lightens skin within 5 minutes with visible reduction in pigmentation. It hydrates skin and protects from free radicals. Time to now get the youthful glow back.
So, let the rains fall. Let the sun shine bright. Enjoy nature’s beauty and bounty and yet be armed with the power of youth. Glow like a bright bulb in the dreary monsoon weather and strut like an icon of beauty.

There are a few reasons why crocus flowers may be associated with attempts to ward off an incubus.
Firstly, the crocus flower has long been associated with the Greek goddess Persephone, who was abducted by the god of the underworld, Hades. This story of abduction and violation echoes the idea of an incubus, a male demon that is said to visit women in their sleep and have sexual relations with them. By using a symbol associated with a powerful goddess who overcame a similar ordeal, one may hope to gain protection from the malevolent advances of an incubus.
Additionally, the crocus flower has a rich history in various cultures as a symbol of rebirth and resurrection. This association may stem from the fact that crocuses often bloom in early spring, signaling the end of winter and the beginning of new life. As such, the flower can be seen as a potent symbol of life triumphing over darkness and death. In the context of fending off an incubus, the idea of rebirth and new life could represent the purification and cleansing of one's body and soul from the demonic presence.
Another reason for the connection between crocus flowers and warding off an incubus could be their prominent use in ancient medicinal practices. In some cultures, crocus flowers were believed to have healing properties and were used as ingredients in potions and ointments. It was also believed that hanging crocuses in the doorway of one's home could ward off evil spirits and protect against hexes and curses. With this belief in mind, it is possible that crocus flowers were believed to possess similar protective powers against the advances of an incubus.
It is also worth noting that crocus flowers have a unique physical appearance. The vibrant purple and orange petals, often streaked with streaks of white, give the flower an otherworldly and surreal appearance. This distinct look may have fueled beliefs that crocuses possessed magical or supernatural properties, making them a suitable choice for warding off supernatural beings like incubi.
Overall, while there is no concrete evidence to support the use of crocus flowers for protection against an incubus, their rich symbolism and historical associations with purification, rebirth, and healing may have contributed to their use as a talisman against the gory attacks of an incubus. Whether one believes in their powers or not, crocus remains a fascinating and beautiful flower with a long and storied history.

Today’s visit was in the Pomefiore gardens, merely for the sake of getting some sun, and escaping some responsibilities for a short while. It still came rather unnaturally to Riddle, letting things go…letting others take over for a bit, or even leaving his dorm fully unattended while trusting it wouldn’t be destroyed. It was difficult to loosen his iron fist, but he was trying.
It helped that the crocus blooms were so lovely this time of year; a brilliant shade of Vil-senpai’s beloved Pomefiore purple. Reaching out, he stroked a finger over the petals of one from where he’d crouched down to view them more closely, his chin resting on his free arm ( which curled around his knees ) as he did so. Getting back to normal after Tartarus was incredibly strange, and uncomfortable, but life must go on, and spring was here indeed.
Riddle was still struck with terrible migraines at times, and there were spots on his body where a pain he dearly hoped wouldn’t be forever chronic flared up. Getting as close as they had to death was something one couldn’t come back from so easily. He still remembered the first short while after their kidnappings, how Vil-senpai had sat with their shoulders pressed together, how he’d held Riddle’s sleeve with such pallor to his countenance, such a contrast to his usual vibrance. He’d been the one to Overblot most recently, after all. And despite Riddle’s own instability, he’d wanted to protect him.
In that moment, he could, by volunteering to go first, but in the long run it hadn’t done anything. Vil-senpai had gotten even closer to death than he, and seemed to have nearly shattered him. Riddle’d hardly been present enough in the moment after they’d returned to campus to process much of his surroundings, but he could look back on it now that their physical ailments had been healed, and now that they were on the right track with everything else. Riddle’s hair had returned to it’s rose-red, and Vil-senpai had regained his youth.
But even now, something in his upperclassman’s gaze seemed…melancholic. He couldn’t understand what he was going through, not entirely, though he supposed he understood it more than others. He’d touched the underworld as well, after all. “The flowers are blooming beautifully.” As he stood to return to the table where the other sat, Riddle pressed his lips together for but a moment. He hesitated, and then: “Senpai, you…” A pause as he trailed off. Thought again. How to phrase it….
“Please forgive me. If I am overstepping, but…you retain such a far away look in your eyes at times, these days, and I…it makes me wonder if you won’t one day go far enough that I won’t be able to follow. I…I am not so young and new to the world, anymore. I am already old enough to have gone through the same things as you have. And I am already the age you were when we met. You’ve been there to assist me so through much since then…I suppose I should like to tell you, that…that I want to assist you, as well.”
He tilted his head just a bit, so as to make sure he was meeting the other’s gaze, tucking strands of red behind his ear as he did so. “I went through the same things. The…the Overblot. Tartarus.” He reiterated it, his hands itching to reach for the blonde’s, though he refrained. “And I am here. And I am still naive, and I know that, but…I can listen. I like listening to what you have to say, and I can be with you, when you need someone who understands, should you allow me to be.”
His eyes shone with a simultaneous hopefulness, concern over possible rejection, and general cautiousness concerning his own vulnerability, though that was nothing new. He still had far to go with his own healing, but relying on others and vice-versa was a good start.
It was a welcomed change of pace — Riddle visiting Pomefiore versus Vil visiting Heartslabyul. Come to think of it, it felt as though Vil had paid so many visits that he knows the dorm's layout as if it were his own. Not that he would ever complain but it was quite an observation he'd come to realize after receiving his ... was it the third or tenth invitation from Trey? No matter.
It was Riddle's reaction that enticed him to return every time; always smiling and ever so hospitable. Vil noticed the small changes in his mannerisms every time — how his shoulders would square whenever the first year's would test their luck before taking a breath and letting them relax before retorting with a sigh. From Riddle picking at his food as if stalling to actually enjoy it to becoming more open to even accepting Vil's offer to tasting the tart he'd received and vice versa. From pursing his lips to being the first to stand up against ... that one time ... back there ...
"Indeed. So you noticed." the Queen muses, however — his gaze wasn't on the flowers. He only glances briefly at the blooms when Riddle turns before he has the chance to catch Vil's eyes. Spring has come, and his birthday had come and gone. He was reminded that night about the inevitable and yet he's forced to see a different version of himself in the reflection that night. Still, such horrors go unmentioned to his huntsman. To his poison apple. To his red queen; someone who would understand best out of them all. Not exactly but close enough, still, Vil never found it suitable to mention, much less the right time to. So why?
The way Riddle continues makes Vil shift, his suspicion rising. Why? "These days" ... so he's meaning... Tartarus. The wound was certainly still fresh, especially in Vil's mind. Vil hadn't mentioned it to anyone, the repercussions of his actions. The price he paid, yes, Malleus had been an excellent help with "reverting" the "damages" that had been done to him and Riddle had managed to fix the lack of pigment in his hair — thankfully — ... but magic is only skin-deep. Same as it goes for using magic for cosmetics ... which is why Vil would never even entertain such an idea for he knows just as well: even Malleus' magic couldn't undo time. Not even the kind of damage Tartarus had done to him.
Vil hadn't told Rook that he stays up haunted by what he'd endured, to this day. Epel doesn't know how many times Vil had night terrors. It's so shallow, to him. But a shallow cut still stings. If they don't know, how would Riddle ... why would Riddle? As if he doesn't have enough to deal with, if not similar horrors. So for him to even mention that place again ... it's enough to make his heart sink, his stomach drop but the Queen is determined to take it in stride, that melancholic gaze returning without him even realizing it.
He's brought back when he catches Riddle's hand twitching as if for him in his peripheral. No. Don't you dare — he doesn't know how Riddle managed to make his stomach drop how it did to become full of butterflies within the next second as his chest rose, breath caught. Stuck between remembering that dreadful place to looking forward, toward a brighter future in front of him. Don't you dare. Perfect brows twitch, a light ( and unintentional ) frown at Riddle's offer. Don't you dare do something so cliche. He scolds himself and yet — he leaves his hand where it's placed: atop the table beside his teacup, not at all far from Riddle's hand should he bring his hand any closer to Vil's or to the tart just beside him.
Vil catches Riddle's gaze and takes a moment to bring himself back, that suspicion rising. A tempting offer. There's so much to say if he were to. At the same time, it's hard to address especially when it comes to the timing of it all. However, if he were to deny Riddle now it's as if he's taking steps back from everything he'd learned thus far. The pain, the effort, the loss, the reminder of mortality. Vil can go so far on his own, Riddle knows this as well as anyone and yet Vil's beside himself.
But if Riddle can also notice that vacant expression in Vil's eyes from time to time... he wonders if anyone else noticed but wasn't bold enough to bring it to the Queen's attention. "You should know that I don't expect any sort of repayment for assisting you. I'm nothing like Azul, if that's what you got from me all this time." Despite the suspicion in Vil's eyes, he drops it when his gaze lowers and averts to the blooms Riddle had mentioned before. Don't you dare, Riddle Roseheart. Don't you dare make me fall in love with you.
"Truthfully... I wonder the same thing, myself, at times." These night terrors, spending the next morning trying to recompose himself whilst facing an aged face in the mirror. Attending breakfast as if he hadn't experienced severe body dysmorphia ten minutes ago. Trouble remembering what he was doing, migraines, and a feeling of being fragile which frustrates him to no end. The incident replayed in his mind time and time again. He's afraid that if he lets it, he'll be stuck in that past despite doing his best to remain in the present. Where he's needed most, for himself and his dorm.
"It feels as though everything happened at once and I suppose ... I'm still trying to process all of it whilst simultaneously being here. If that makes any sense." Glancing back at Riddle, he turns his gaze to the rest of Pomefiore's garden - lively and blooming. Thriving and present. Suppose the effects of recovering from Overblot still has to run its course with him. An added burden that he can't just drop, unfortunately, try as he may. It's a lot if he really let himself sit and think about all of it.
